Silver lets out a huge yawn with his gloved hand over his mouth. He smacked his lips several times with tears of boredom in his eyes. Two weeks have passed since he got to the house. But to the trapped teen, it felt two years. It doesn't help that the days and nights dragged on like a snail. And that since the hybrid locked himself in his room, there's barely anything to do expect read books or take naps. The book he was currently reading grew boring to him. He got up from his bed and limped towards the bookshelf. The hedgehog put the book away until he saw something inside. He reached his arm in to pull out a dusty book made out of leather and a strap to keep it closed. Silver raised a brow as he thought that he had read every book on the bookshelf. After putting back the book he had back on the shelf, the hybrid limped back to his bed. Laying there, he took off the strap and opened the first page.
Entry 1:
It was a normal day in my village. But near the night, there was a mob attacking a vampire when he failed to kill someone. My family went to aid the injured person. But my sight was to the mob trying to kill the vampire. One of them stabbed him with a pitchfork, even though he was pleading for them to not kill him. And when he was down, one of the people held him and slit his throat. I couldn't do anything but to watch the horrible scene. Even if he's a vampire, it's still inhuman to torture him like a pig! Luckily he fought them off and escapes into the woods. Once the mob went home to savior their victory, I stole some of my father's medical supplies and follow the blood trail into the woods. After a few minutes, I found him slumped over a tree with his head down. Seeing his wounds healed, I cleaned up the blood on his clothes. When he woke up, he tried to walk away. I followed him to ask if he was okay, how long he was a vampire, etc. He yelled at me and tries to scare me off. It didn't work, much to the vampire's dismay. But I had to let him go because his home is two hours away and needs to be there before the sun comes up. He regained his strength to run deeper in the woods. I watched him disappearing in the shadows, and after a few minutes of standing I started to walk back home. Why did I stand there? Did I think he would come back? I didn't get the chance to know his name. I hope I'll learn it soon.
Knock Knock!
Silver almost dropped the book on his lap when the rapping of his door echoed the quiet room. He turned his head towards the oak door.
"Who is it?" The silver teen asked.
"It's Sonic." Silver limped to open the door. The blue hedgehog had a tray of sandwiches and a cup of tea. Tails was resting on the butler's right shoulder.
"Hello!" Sonic greeted with a grin.
"Chao!" Tails greeted as well. The two entered the room before Silver closes the door.
"So, how's your day?" Sonic asked as he set the tray down on a small table. The teen rolled his eyes.
"The same as usual. Hiding here like a wild animal." He groaned.
"How would you get used to the house if you stay in one room the whole time?" The blue servant asked with his hand on his hip.
"If it's getting away from that monster, I'll get used to it." Silver said bitterly. Sonic sighs at the teen's attitude. Then an idea struck him in his head.
"How about we go to town with Tails and me? Just for a few errands before the sun goes down." The blue servant offers as the Chao eats the sandwiches. Silver raised a brow.
"Why do we need to go back before sundown? I'm sure the shops will still be open during the night." Sonic looked down to see Tails looking back worried.
"Well, you see, monsters love to come out at night. And they like the town, so the people hate any creature that isn't normal. But they loathe half-bloods." The butler explains. The teen looked a bit worried.
"Why do they hate half-bloods?"
"The townspeople see half-bloods as the disgrace of nature. They kill their mothers in birth because they're like parasites. People believe that loving a monster is a sin. There are people that loathe half-bloods so much that when they see them, they'll kill without a reason." After Sonic explained, Silver looked at him with horror. The blue servant saw this.
"Don't worry about that. Shadow, Tails, and I will protect you no matter what." Sonic promised. The strange Chao nods.
"I know you two will protect me. But I don't know about that vampire." The silver hedgehog said bitterly once again.
"Shadow is a great guy once you get to know him. He's pretty protective of Tails and me. And since you're his son, he'll stop a stake to save you." The blue hedgehog said cheerfully.
"Chao!" Tails agreed. Silver glared at them.
"Just because I shared his blood, doesn't mean he's my father. If he was my parent then how come he didn't take me in after 16 years?" He asked with his arms crossed. Sonic frowned.
"Because Shadow was afraid that he'd hurt you. He can be violent when he doesn't have blood for a while." He explained. The silver teen looked away in silence.
"Come on, we're wasting daylight." All three walked down the stairs to the kitchen with Sonic helping Silver going down. Tails have to dragged the heavy crutches down the stairs.
"Where are you three going?" All three looked to see Shadow sitting at a table with papers and a quill in hand.
"Going to the town to get some errands. And I thought I could take Silver with me." The servant explained. The vampire's red eyes looked at his son who was hiding behind Sonic. He sighs.
"Alright, but be careful. Silver's wound hasn't fully healed yet." Shadow said before going back to his work. Silver saw the blue one looking at the ground shamefully.
"Why does he always look guilty every time my injury is mention?" The teen thought.
"We will, I promise." The butler promised as he grabs a wooden basket from the side of the door. The vampire nods.
"Okay, be back before sunset." He informed before returning to his work. The three walked to the door.
"Have a nice day, Silver," Shadow called to his son. The said teen side-looked him.
"And I hope you have a terrible day." He hissed before walking away. The teen closes the door when he saw the black vampire looking at his papers with a sad look. Silver limped ahead of the butler who was giving him the same look as Shadow. The teen saw this.
"Let's get this over it." He whispered. Both of them walked through the woods to a town in a matter of 10 minutes.
"May I ask something?" Sonic asked Silver. The teen nods.
"What is it?" He asked. The butler was a bit hesitate for a second.
"Why do you hate vampires?" The blue servant asked. The hybrid stopped with his eyes glued to the ground. The blue hedgehog stopped as well.
"I'm sorry to ask that. I was curious, that's all." He apologized with his head hung low. Silver shook his head then look at Sonic.
"It's okay. I grew up hating vampires from my old town." He simply explained. The blue butler lifted his head, as if the shame put weight on it.
"Ah okay. I hope those villagers aren't as blood hungry as these people." Sonic awkwardly chuckles at the end, his leather gloved hand rubbing the back of his head. As the two starts to walk again, Tails caught two male Mobians underneath a shade of a store staring at them. One of the males is a black bat with blood-red pupils while the sclera is almost pink. His attire was a black suit, white gloves, and dirty brown shoes. The strangest thing about the bat that instead of wings, there were only small stubs where they were. Almost like the wings were ripped off. When the two saw the Chao was staring at them, they turn to talk about the weather. The cursed fox raised a brow. The three went to the outside food stands where they pick fruit. Sonic looked to the left then dropped an apple he was holding in a panic.
"Silver, I'm going to the restroom. I'll be back." He went off before Silver could say something. The hybrid raised a brow as an adult male pink hedgehog wearing a brown tunic and matching pants was walking near him. He stopped when something hit his nose as he got behind Silver. The pink hedgehog turned to the teen with a raised brow.
"Are you new around here?" The stranger asked. Silver turned to meet the other's green eyes.
"Yes, I am. Nice to meet you." The hybrid greeted with an awkward smile. The other nods with a small smile.
"Same here. But I swore I smelled werewolf scent on you." He said. Silver looked at him with confusion and fear.
"Werewolf scent?" He asked. An image of the blue werewolf growling flashed through his mind.
"Well, then again I'm getting old. I haven't hunted werewolves in years." The pink hedgehog admitted as he scratches his nose.
"Father! I can't carry these boxes without you!" Both looked to the left to see a female pink hedgehog wearing a red and white dress with a red hood. In both arms were full of two boxes of fruit.
"I'm coming, Amy." The male pink hedgehog called back. He saw Silver's eyes filled with fear.
"Don't worry about the werewolf. Younger hunters are always on guard around here." The pink hedgehog was walking until he stops and looked over his shoulder.
"Welcome to Knothole." He smiles before walking to his daughter. A few minutes later Sonic and Tails reappeared.
"Are they gone?" The butler asked Silver in a nervous voice. The hybrid looks back at the father and daughter to see they were far away.
"Yes. Why did you hide?" The teen asked. Sonic looked down while rubbing his neck.
"That man is a hunter. If he finds out about Shadow, he would get his friends and kill us." He explained.
"I know that. But wouldn't I have vampire scent on me, instead of werewolf?" The hybrid asked. Then he started to think about it.
"What does a vampire smell like anyway? Do they smell like blood? Are there distinctive scents for blood types? I've never thought about it before." Silver said to himself with his hand under his chin. While the teen was muttering to himself on the topic, Sonic and Tails looked at each other with confusion.
"Chao Chao Chao." The cursed Chao said with a cocky smile. The butler glared at him from his shoulder.
"You won't turn back to normal if you insult people like that." Sonic scolded Tails, whose expression turned to a sour look and half-closed eyes. The hedgehog turned his head while not seeing the Chao sticking out his tongue. The servant looks at the sky to shrink at the sight of the sunset.
"U-Um... It's time to go!" The butler blurted out. The silver teen raised a brow at the behavior, but didn't ask questions. The three walked out of the village with Sonic carrying the food in the basket. But Silver noticed that the servant was speed walking, almost a carriage away from the injured teen.
"Um, can you slow down? I'm not used to being in crutches y-yet!" He exclaimed when one of his crutches smacked a small rock, and he yelped when he forced himself to not trip. The servant turned around to go to the kid, but stopped in his tracks at something in the dark sky. The silver hedgehog raised a brow before turning his head to the sky to what the servant was looking at. Dark clouds moved towards the left and right to reveal the bright yellow full moon. Before he could ask the frightened hedgehog, he whipped his head around when he heard the butler screamed in pain and saw him fall to his knees. Tails frantically flew around the blue hedgehog while making concerning noises. Silver ran as fast as he could on crutches to be with the down butler while his leather gloved hands were on his face.
"Sonic are you..." The teen trailed off when he saw the blue hedgehog's dull nails slowly grows into claws. He moved back to see the other's body changing in front of him. His short cobalt blue fur slowly turns into shaggy dark blue. The small tail extended into a long wolf tail. And his skinny tan arms starts to grow more muscled and hairy. The suit starts to rip as his body grows. Silver started to shake and sweat at the changes of the butler.
"S-Sonic what's going on?" He stuttered out. But he felt like his heart stopped when he saw Sonic's eyes through long fingers. Sharp dark emerald green eyes. The teen stared at him, then gasped when the memory of the beast that gave him the limp that night. He felt his jaw hang loose at the revelation.
"H-Holy shit!" The hybrid started booking it as fast as he can in crutches.
"S-Silver come back!" Sonic called out, but it was deeper than normal. But the teen didn't listen and continue running. After a few minutes of running, he leaned against a tree as he lets out frosty shaky breaths. While trying to get his heart to beat normally, he starts to remember all those times Sonic stared at his bite mark. Those times, his eyes were filled with regret. That's why he didn't want to stay out after sunset. It was so obvious to him now! Silver face palmed himself in frustration.
"Chaos I'm so dumb!" He shouted to himself. Once his heart beats normally, the dhampir starts walking ahead. Knothole would be a good place to hide for the night, he thought. In a few minutes, the hybrid saw the lights of the town only a few steps away. A smile appeared on his cold face as joy starts to warm his chest. The teen was about to move his crutches forward, but a loud noise made him stop.
"Chao!" When Silver looked over his shoulder, he yelped as an orange blur knocked him down in the snow. The pain in his wounded shoulder and leg shot his body like electricity.
"Ah! W-What the fuck?!" The dhampir cursed as he tries to get Tails off of him. But the cursed fox had a tight grip on his vest, while having an angry look on his face. As he was trying to pull the Chao away, Silver looked back at the village and began shouting.
"H-Help! A crazy Chao is attacking me!" He screamed out. After a minute of fighting the angry Chao, his silver ears picked up footsteps stomping on snow. Five male Mobians appeared at wear a confused look at the scene.
"What's going on?" One of the males asked. They might be the werewolf hunters the pink stranger mentioned. Perfect!
"Oh thank you! Please I've been kidnapped by a vampire, a werewolf, and this crazy Chao!" Silver shouted as he pulls the cursed Chao out of his vest. But Tails grabbed his scarf and pulled it.
"Oh? Don't worry, we'll take you to Knothole..." One of the hunters trailed off when he spotted a rose tattoo on the neck of the teen. It was a bit visible when the Chao pulled the scarf. The other hunters saw it too as the hedgehog slowly stands up, still trying to pull away Tails.
"Those are the greatest words I've heard in weeks! I'll show you where the monsters live." Silver offered which made the cursed fox stop struggling. His face and blue eyes were written with betrayal.. But then the Chao notices the four out of the five hunters were around the teen who failed to see this. The fifth hunter in front of Silver had his hands behind his back as he stared at the dhampir.
"That's great news. But you'll be among the dead bodies of those monsters." The hunters quickly pull out his arm to snap his fingers. That was the signal for the other hunters to tackle the hedgehog face first to the ground. Silver screamed in the snow when his shoulder and leg shot through his body.
"W-What are you doing?!" He demanded as he felt rope being tied his arms behind his back. Tails flew up when they tackled the teen and nervously watched from above. The cursed fox then flew away as fast as he can.
"Can't believe vampires are still making disgusting mutants. I thought they would learn by now." One of the hunters hissed with hatred.
"And this one thought it could get our blood by leading us somewhere in the forest." Another hunter said with the same hatred in his voice as the other one. The dhampir shot his wide eyes up at the hunters as he starts to breathe heavily.
"I-I wasn't going to do that! I'm not like them!" He shouted. One of the hunters clicked his tongue while glaring down at the hybrid.
"Looks like this one is a liar. How about we cut off his tongue to teach him a lesson?" The hunter suggested with a twisted smile. Silver's shaky pupils shrunken at that. He starts to hyperventilate as those fearful eyes looked at the other hunters, who had their own twisted smiles upon their faces. The hedgehog yelped when one of them grabbed his chin and harshly pulled him up to his knees. He frantically tried to free his arms from the rope trapping him like a captured rabbit. When that didn't work, Silver decided to plead for his life.
"Please let me go! I-I wasn't going to hurt anyone I swear! I'm not a liar!" He shouted with tears swelling in his eyes. Those tears fell down when he spotted one of the hunters pulling out their hunting knife from his belt.
"Plead all you want. Your monster parent won't save a disgrace like you." The hunter with the knife said which made his buddies laugh evilly. Silver at this point feels like he was going to faint at any moment from terror. His body starts to shake uncontrollably when hands forced his mouth to open as the knife is getting too close to his lower lip. But they froze when they heard heavy footsteps coming to them with extreme speed. Silver yelped when he felt the tip of the blade cut his lower lip as the hunters suddenly lets him go. The teen hit the snow before something giant jumped over him. He closed his eyes and tried to block the loud deep roar from above. The hybrid weakly opened his eyes halfway to see the hunters being attacked by a giant blue beast. The silver hedgehog flinched when the hunter with the hunting knife slashed the beast by the shoulder. The monster roared in pain before ramming his head to knock back the hunter. Silver felt blood from his lip rolling down his cold chin to stain the white snow under him. His yellow eyes went up to his forehead before falling into the darkness.
When he was coming to, Silver felt cold wind hitting him. He slowly opened his eyes to see blue shaggy fur. The hedgehog lifts his head for his eyes to widen. He was on the back of the blue beast as it runs on its fours through the forest. The hyperventilation came back to him when the monster turned its head to look at the teen over its shoulder. Silver screamed at the top of his lungs. The werewolf had a shocked reaction on his face and bent his ears to block the high-pitched scream. But his front paw suddenly hit a rock, making the wolf to roll in the snow. Silver grunted when he lands on his back as the blue werewolf face planted. Tails slowly descend from the air to the snow in the middle of them. The silver teen stood up to hiss in pain while rubbing along his now sore back. He stopped to stare in fear when the werewolf lifted his snow covered face to shake it off. When the wolf stopped shaking, his glowing green eyes caught the glance of a fearful Silver. The beast only took a paw step forward until the hybrid shouts.
"D-Don't come any closer! I-I mean it!" The silver hedgehog demanded, with a mix of the cold and fear in his shaky voice. The beast lifted its head up and make its eyes and face less scary by smiling with his eyes closed. When it didn't seem to work, the werewolf crutches down to minimize its large towering size. Silver raised a brow at this odd behavior from a monster that eats people. The blue beast was about to crutch more until it flinch in pain from his shoulder. His green eyes looked to see the knife wound was leaking warm blood. The trip must have opened it, the monster thought as he licks his shoulder. The dhampir was shocked as he saw the cut was slowly closing and blood easily washed away from its fur. While the beast was cleaning its wound, Silver examined the body of the werewolf. Through shaggy fur were pale scars scattered around, including a long one on his belly. His eyes followed the scar until he spotted a big bite mark on the upper thigh. He stared at that bite mark until the beast stopped cleaning and stared at the teen, who quickly looked away.
"You know," The hybrid put his hand on his face and sighs. "I thought that I can trust you because you're not a monster. But I was wrong." He said. Sonic frowned and his ears went down. Tails saw this before he whipped his head around to the hybrid with puffed up cheeks.
"Chao Chao!" The cursed child swore while pointing his arm to the now annoyed hedgehog. Silver stared down at the Chao with through half-closed eyes for a few seconds.
"What the fuck are you saying?! I can't speak Chao!" He shouted with his arms out. Tails stomped his foot on the snow, with his arms to his sides and visibly grinding his teeth at the rude teen. He rolled up imaginary sleeves and starts to stomp towards the kid. The monster butler curled his lip to let out a growl as a warning for the cursed fox to calm down. Tails stopped to turn his head towards his friend with puffed up cheeks. Sonic laid down on the snow and glare at the Kitsune trapped in the Chao body. The cursed child huffed before sitting down with his arms crossed and eyes closed. But the two turned their heads when the sounds of sobbing landed in their ears. Tears fell down Silver's red cheeks as his chest moved up and down irregularly making him letting out cold breaths. His arms were wrapped around him as he slowly falls to his knees. His blurry vision focused on the snow as it was being stained by his blood and tears.
"Y-You were right. T-They w-were trying to kill me because I have vampire blood! They tried to cut off my tongue because they thought I was lying. I've never lied in my life!" Silver screamed as the sorrow starts to grip more into his chest. He leaned forward for his forehead to almost rest in the snow. His eyes closed as tears manage to slip out, and more blood from his lip escapes.
"I want to go home..." The dhampir whimpered out. Sonic's head went down as he frowns deeply. He knows he can't go back to his happy life and act like nothing happened. But...it's wishful thinking that will never come true. The werewolf slowly starts to walk towards the kid, despite Tails shaking his head. The butler didn't listen when he stopped in front of the miserable teen. He lowered his big head down to the other, just for the hybrid to jump back. Silver's glossy red eyes had fear and sorrow. His slightly opened mouth released white breaths. His arms were behind him to support himself from falling back. Sonic frowned again and slightly moved his head up. The frown almost disappeared when an idea popped in his head. He took a step back to give the scared teen space as the beast lowered his body and his head. Silver raised a brow at this. He saw the sharp green eyes shot up to softly stare at him. The hybrid slowly pulls out an arm towards the head of the werewolf. His gloved hand was shakily hovering for a few seconds before resting on the fur of the butler. The dark blue fur felt warm despite the cold night and snowflakes. Silver stood like a statue for a few seconds before he starts to sob again. His freezing fingers curled to grip the fur. Sonic's dull eyes were glued to the sight of the ground as the kid cries his eyes out.
~Later~
Shadow sighed once he was finished with the last paper. He neatly stacked them to put in a big envelope. After the vampire did that, his red eyes caught a glimpse of outside the kitchen window. It was pitch black and the only light was the moonlight. The blood sucker starts to worry as the three hasn't arrived home yet.
"Sonic should have come back with Silver and Tails by now..." His worries disappeared when the noise of the front door opening. He whipped his head around to see Silver limping inside first without crutches, and looks like he almost froze. Shadow jumped out of his seat to rush to his troubled son.
"Silver what happened-" The black hedgehog stopped when the scent of copper hit his nose like a punch. He followed the smell to see a tiny stream of blood running down Silver's cut lip. The silver teen was looking the other direction with his eyes dulled.
"I don't want to talk about it. I'm going to be in my dungeon for maybe years." The hybrid said bitterly as he limped towards the stairs. As his back was to his father, the vampire's fangs were shown as the white part in eyes were slowly drowned in blackness. A growl was stuck in his throat before he positions himself to pounce at the broken teen. He would have jumped if it wasn't for a powerful bite holding his leg and went through the bone. Shadow hissed through his teeth as the blackness in his eyes disintegrate. His normal blood-red eyes looked down to see Sonic staring up at him with his fangs deep in his leg. That snapped the vampire out of his daze as he shakes his head.
"Sonic, what happened?" He demanded while ignoring the door slam from upstairs. The werewolf let go of his hold on the leg and backed away.
"I'm sorry," The butler shamefully hung his head low. "Hunters got him while I was transforming." Sonic apologized. Shadow's eyes widened then looked away and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Shit...How did they know?" He asked, looking back at the blue wolf with shaky eyes. Sonic shrugged his shoulders while still looking at his master.
"I don't know. I got there before they could hurt him." He said. Tails was standing next to his blue friend. His eyes looked away in guilt. The black hedgehog then thought of the cut on his son's lip. It definitely looked like it was from a knife.
"What were they going to do to him before you stopped those hunters?" The blood sucker asked hesitantly. By his butler's visible flinch, he got even more worried.
"W-Well..." The wolf started. "From what Silver told me, they were...going to c-cut his tongue out..." He muttered out. When those words landed in his ears, the worries were melted from the burning rage.
"What?! Why were those fuckers doing something inhuman like that?! He's only a kid!" Shadow shouted.
"T-They thought he was lying about something." Sonic explained with his stomach twisting and his eyes practically glued to the floor at this point. The vampire's fangs were shown as his rage makes want to destroy the kitchen.
"Those sick bastards are in Knothole, right?" He hissed while the thought of blood makes his throat dry. When the werewolf nodded, the black hedgehog heading to the front door. He stopped after he opened the door to be hit by a cold wind.
"Stay here and watch Silver. I'll be back before sunset." Shadow said before closing the door behind him and walked through the snow. His rage kept him warm from the cold as his red eyes glowed in the dark. While walking, his ears kept picking up someone to the left sneaking behind the trees. Shadow tried to ignore it until the person came out of the trees behind him and call out to him.
"You know it's not a good idea to ignore a potential predator." The person said. The black hedgehog stopped to curse to himself. Out of all vampires to visit him, it had to him?! He turned his body around to glare at the stranger.
"I don't have time to talk to you, Eclipse." He hissed out. The stranger named Eclipse was a being with a black body with red stripes around his eyes that goes up to his head and a long scaly tail wrapped around him. He was wearing a long black suit with a long brown hood tied around his back, matching black pants, a brown leather belt with a silver belt buckle, black knee-high boots, and white gloves with sharp claws underneath. His sclera was pitch black while his pupils were burning amber. The stranger grinned to reveal his razor sharp yellow teeth.
"You don't look so well. How long was it since you last drank blood?" The strange vampire asked with the grin still on his pasty white muzzle. Shadow looked away to glare at the trees. The scene of his Blood-Lust when he smelled Silver's blood replayed in his head. He would have killed his own son if Sonic didn't snap him out of it. All because he didn't drink blood for two weeks! The hedgehog's hands balled into fists. He looked back at Eclipse and glare again.
"I'm going to get some right now. Why else would I be out here, freezing my ass out? Can you go back to the castle, your highness?" Shadow fake bowed to the king to mock him. The ruler of the vampires didn't get offended, it only made his grin spread wider.
"Well, my trusted man, Caedis, told me he saw something concerning. I only came here to see if it's true your butler attacked the nearby villagers." Eclipse said with suspicion in his eyes. The black vampire clenched his teeth but showed no emotion.
"Damn spy... Why can't that nosy wing-less bat stay out of my business?!" He thought.
"Those villagers were hunters, and they attacked my butler first. Is it a crime for him to not fight back?" The hedgehog hissed. The king placed his hand under his chin to fake think with his smile disappearing.
"Hmm...No it's not a crime. But if he does think without your commands, he'll be hard to control in the future. Werewolves are like normal dogs, no training, and they'll do anything they want. No matter if it's good or bad. They won't listen to you and attack you." Eclipse lectured with a smug smile. Shadow's fists shake, wanting to punch that annoying smile off of his face.
"I know, I'll make sure to get that in Sonic's head when I get back." The black vampire lied. The king raised a brow with his gloved hand still under his chin.
"Good. But I heard that your butler defended and took away an unconscious silver hedgehog. I thought that you told me that she died years ago?" The ruler asked as he glares at the lower classed vampire. Shadow curled his lip to show his fangs slowly coming out as his whole body shakes in burning anger.
"It was a different silver hedgehog. Sonic took him back to that stranger's home." He hissed out. Eclipse narrowed his eyes at the black hedgehog. The king lifted his arm up and flicked his wrist up to the other. Shadow screamed and fell to his knees when shots of agony hit the side of his neck. He placed his hand on his neck as two holes starts to open up. His wide shaky red eyes were glued to the snow as the ruler walks beside the vampire who was in agony. Eclipse got onto one knee with his hand still up.
"If you tell me the truth, I'll stop this." He said with a serious frown on his face. The lower ranked vampire clenched his teeth in pain with his two fangs out.
"I'm telling the truth motherfucker!" The hedgehog hissed as black liquid starts oozing out from the two holes on his neck. The king's visage hasn't changed as his hand was still up.
"Oh, are you sure? You know I don't like dishonesty from my people." Shadow shakily turned his head towards his leader with watery anger eyes.
"Your people? Do you mean your slaves?" He hissed out. Rage replaced the flat look on the king's face.
"Don't you dare compare me to those filthy people! I actually treat everyone better than those humans!" Eclipse exclaimed while increasing the pain on the black hedgehog's neck. The lower classed vampire screamed before falling face first on the snow. The black liquid staining the white snow. The king's rage slowly disappeared and his face softened when tears rolled down Shadow's cold cheeks. His breathing sounded shallow as his sides were contracting as if they're beating his body. When the ruler's hand went down, the black hedgehog gasped in relief as the two holes slowly closes.
"You're lucky that the sun won't come up when you come back to life," Eclipse dig something in his pocket and tossed it at the dying vampire in the snow, "this will keep your Blood-Lust in bay after you wake up." The king said. Shadow weakly looked at the dead rabbit in front of face. He grabbed it and tucked it under him so no predator can steal it while unconscious.
"I hate to do this," the black hedgehog weakly looked up to his leader getting up, and starts to walk away with his hands in his pants pockets, "but my people need me back at the castle." Eclipse stops as Shadow fights to keep his eyelids up.
"I'll believe you this time. But I won't hesitate on punishing you for lying to me again." Leaving that warning behind him, the king of the vampires disappears behind the tall trees. The black hedgehog at this point gave up the battle to keep his eyes open. He lies in the snow and a new layer was landing on him. Hot tears rolled down his frozen tear-streak cheeks. His sides stopped as his last breath for a while left his mouth to form a frosty air.
I hope you've enjoyed reading this chapter!
I'm sorry for uploading this one after the last one came out almost three years ago. Hopefully I'll make the next chapters much quicker.
Originally I was going to introduce Eclipse towards the end of the story. But I thought showing the main antagonist this early won't hurt. Now I'm working on Eclipse's backstory like how he turned into a vampire. So I hope I'll figure it out soon.
There will be chapters where there will be gore warnings in the beginning. I hope those chapters won't be on the M rating territory.
Oh! Caedis was an old OCs of mine who first appeared in the Guardian of the night story. This is kinda of an updated origin as I plan to remake that story in the future.
I decided to upload it on Halloween since it's monsters. (And I don't do holiday specials anymore).
Have any of you ever seen this anime called Vampire Knight? I used to be obsessed with the show and the first 10 volumes of the manga during 8th grade. The rose picture on this story's cover was from the series. But I fell off of the series when I found out that this ship of the main girl and one of the love interests I used to ship hard were siblings. And whenever I look back on the series, I realize it was kinda of a garbage show with a love triangle that I hate in media. But the first opening is still lit, and the first ending is a good song to listen to on Halloween. I want to rewatch it soon to see if it's decent or not.
Thank you for the readers who waited this long!
Have a good day/night!
