Childishness
Lily Potter was downright furious. It had been a month since the disagreement between the children and her husband still kept with the punishment he gave their son. Not only that she could only use a limited amount of their money.
Right now her husband was with Remus and she was alone in the house sulking. She couldn't believe that she was being treated like a child. Lily jumped up from her bed and quickly got dressed before flooing out. She figured that since Severus hated James she could use Severus against him and things would go back to normal.
Lily was upset when Severus wasn't in his office. She sat down and waited. What she didn't know was that James and Sirius had taken Severus to a greenhouse in Italy that sold very rare and expensive plants. They would pay for whatever Severus wanted.
Lily smirked when she heard the door open before she turned it into a beaming smile. "Severus it has been so long tha-" Once she noticed the company she stopped speaking and stared at her husband in shock. "James!?"
"Lily, what are you doing here?" It was spoken in such a cold tone that the other three looked at him in surprise.
"I wanted to see Severus. We haven't talked in ages." Lily said in her sweet voice.
"Don't lie to me Lily. You wanted to make me jealous so that I would allow you unlimited access to the money again so that you can spoil our son, right?" Lily just stared at him. "I thought so. The answer is no. Our son's grades have improved and from what I hear he has made even more friends since he stopped acting like a spoiled brat."
"Why do you keep saying that our son isn't special?" With that she stood up and flooed out of the room crying.
"Sorry about that, Severus. Ever since I put a limit on the amount of money she is allowed to spend at once and stopped treating Godric as Merlin's gift to wizards she has been like this."
"I see that. It isn't your fault that she has changed. She refuses to see the way that she treats, Mr. Potter is harming him. You are doing the right thing, especially since he is really improving his grades including potions."
"Told you that it wasn't your fault James." Sirius said.
"I know. I better go and see if she has destroyed anything." He sighed.
"What?" James flooed out just as Severus asked the question.
"Lily has taken to having tantrums whenever she doesn't get her way. Yesterday she broke some vases and the couch in the study when James said that she wasn't allowed to send Godric anymore presents until Yule." Sirius explained.
"She truly has lost her mind." He said.
"Yup. I have to go."
"Goodbye."
"Bye."
(Godric Potter)
Godric was on his bed. He was thinking about what had happened this month. He could still remember what Reese's grandfather had said to him.
[Godric was walking through the halls intent on finding Reese so that he could apologize and get it over with. Of course he wasn't sorry but if he didn't do it he was going to get yelled at by his father yet again.
He was about to turn the corner when Reese's grandfather stepped out in front of him. "Hey watch it old man."
"You are one of the boys who tried to bully my grandson." Godric paled since he knew that Reese's grandfather was one of the best potion master's their world had. "Follow me." Godric did just that.
He was led to an unused classroom where he was motioned to sit. Godric did as he was told, afraid for his life.
"Why did you try to bully my grandson?" He asked.
"Because he was upstaging me. I am the boy-who-lived. I am supposed to get the perfect grades and be more powerful than anyone else. Mum told me so." When Allen heard that he was shocked.
"Your mum told you that because you were famous you would do better than anyone else?" He asked, hoping he had heard the boy wrong.
"Yes."
"Oh child." Allen kneeled down and looked Godric straight in the eyes before speaking. "I hate to say this but your mother was wrong. Hold on, I am not finished." Allen said when he saw Godric open his mouth to speak. "She was half wrong actually. Yes, some people will give you things on a silver platter just because you are famous but there are two other types of people. Those who will make you miserable and those who will treat you like everyone else. Here at school the teachers are going to treat you like any other student. Work for those grades and learn. Learn so that those who want to cause harm and make you miserable can't. Understand?"
Godric was silent as he thought over what he had just been told. He compared it to what his dad and uncles had told him and now he finally understood.
"Yeah. I need to work for my grades and learn or else the people who hate me will win." He told him.
"Correct." Allen said with a smile.
"Do you know where your grandson is? I need to apologize." He said, this time wanting to apologize.
Allen stood up. "I do. Follow me."]
After that Godric had apologized not only to Reese but to his teachers and classmates that he had bullied. He then began to work for those grades and he was surprised when he found that he had a talent for both charms and defense.
Godric shook his head and stood up. He had to go get something to eat before he went to class. He and Ron wanted to get to potions class early to make up for being late all those times before.
(Harry)
Harry walked to the headmaster's office to go to his transfiguration lesson. The headmaster had been shocked when he learned that Harry could do both wandless and wordless magic. It was then that the headmaster decided that Harry had to first do the spells with wand then wordless but with a wand then wandless but with words before he did it both wandless and wordless.
Harry liked the lesson well enough although his favorites were still potions and herbology. Harry reminded Dumbledore of a mixture of Allen and Brandon. Last class he gave his father a run for his money sometimes. Harry liked to be mischievous when he transfigured sometimes.
Last lesson they were practicing turning different objects into needles and Harry turned a match, twig, chalice, and a rat into a needle. Then he turned them into pigs when Dumbledore picked them up to examine them
Harry only smirked and changed them back to needles. Today Harry would start learning how to switch mice into snuff boxes. Since Harry was taught by Dumbledore he only had it for a period before he met Professor Snape for his lessons as his apprentice.
"Now mr. Reese, please explain to me why people have problems with transfiguring mice into snuff boxes."
"Some people say the spell wrong and the snuff box will have whiskers or they, like many other transfigurations, forget to imagine what the snufflebox looks like so it doesn't work."
"Correct." Dumbledore then gave Harry a quiz to do. He always gave quizzes before he let Harry transfigure anything.
Harry finished the quiz, handed it to Dumbledore before he wrote down the homework assignment and left. Dumbledore quickly graded the quiz and like always the quiz was one hundred percent. The boy was truly brilliant. Next class Harry would be changing a mouse into a snuff box.
