[Flashback]
Shock
The news of Lily Potter being kidnapped and an unmarked death eater taking her place spread throughout the wizarding community. Most were shocked by this. Her family was shocked the most. Some believed that they deserved this and some wished their family luck in this trying time.
Thanks to whoever blabbed to the press Godric had found out. He was currently in his room crying. He was very worried about his mum. He couldn't believe that for ten years they had been living with an imposter. He refused to leave or talk to anyone.
Harry, feeling bad for him, convinced Ron to allow him into the Gryffindor tower and dorm room. He didn't know why he wanted to help the kid but he did. Something about him was familiar. Once in he sat on the bed and waited. After a while Godric finally spoke.
"Go away."
"No." Harry said.
That shocked Godric. The others left when he told them to go away. Harry not doing that shouldn't have shocked him yet it did.
"Why not?" The red haired child asked.
"Because you are upset and need support." He said. 'I have no idea.'
"Why do you care?" He asked.
"I care because I know what it is like to worry about their mum." He answered. 'It's the truth, just not the whole truth.'
"What happened with your mum?" He asked.
"She died when I was seven. She had gotten sick. Before she died, I sat on my bed worried about her. My dad, grandfather, and aunt were there for me. You keep pushing everyone away and that isn't good for you." Harry told him.
"How?"
"You will make yourself sick and there will be no one there to help you." He said.
"I see. I should start letting them talk to me instead of pushing them away." Godric realized what he was talking about.
"Yes you should."
"I will. Thank you." Harry nodded and left.
Ron came into the room. He looked at Godric and sat down next to him. He tensed and waited for his friend to tell him to go away again.
"Hey." Godric said as he turned towards his friend.
"Hey."
"Sorry for pushing you away."
"It's fine. I guess Harry helped when I couldn't." Ron told his friend sadly.
"He just told me to stop pushing you all away because I needed you. You know for an eleven year old he is very smart." He said, not wanting his friend to be hurt.
"He is. I'm glad that he did help."
"Me too. D-do you think that t-th-they will find my m-mum?" Godric asked as he began to sob.
"I think that they will." Ron said as he hugged his friend.
"Thanks Ron."
"You're welcome."
Meanwhile Harry clenched the hair he had taken from Godric's bed. He had made sure it was his before he took it. It wasn't hard since he was distracted. He made his way to his room. He quickly flooed out.
Once he was back home he went to his grandfather's potion lab. He knocked on the door and waited. It wasn't long before the door was opened.
"Harry!? What's wrong?" He asked, worried.
"Nothing with me but with Potter's mum." He said.
"I see. Explain."
"I grabbed some of Potter's hair off the bed. I know that you invented a potion that can show who is related to who." He said.
"So?" Wondering what his grandson was trying to get at.
"Remember that it is different from the linage potion because..."
"The potion activates when it is poured out and then lines form from that person to all the people they are related to. If the aurors follow that line they will find Lillian Potter." His grandfather finished the sentence for him.
"Exactly."
"When you finish you can explain it all to the aurors who will follow, find her then it can go back to normal." He said.
"Normal?" He raised an eyebrow at that.
"I won't feel worried about him." Harry said before leaving. "Bye grandpa."
"Bye Harry." He said with a knowing grin.
Harry flooed back to Hogwarts and began doing his homework.
(Time skip- Next Week)
It was during dinner when Allen, Sirius, Remus, James and many aurors arrived. Harry stood and walked over to Godric.
"What is going on?" The redhead asked the black haired Ravenclaw.
"My grandpa is proving why he is the best." Harry said with a smirk.
"Huh?" He looked confused.
"He will explain." He said.
"Okay?"
"He is going to help save your mum." He told him.
"Really!?" He looked at Harry in shock.
"Really."
"Now the reason why I called you here is simple." Allen began.
"I told you to use the potion you created and gave you the main ingredient." Harry interrupted with a smirk.
"Yes wait no. HARRY!" Harry giggled and ran off. "Damn brat. Anyway he is correct. I created a potion over the summer and have been writing out the journals before presenting it to the Potion guild." He said in excitement.
"What is this potion?" Godric asked and wondered how it could help find his mum.
"It is like the linage potion. It shows those you are related to."
"You said that this will help find my wife. How the hell will a linage potion do that!?" James screamed/asked in confused anger.
"It will help because it shows only living members. The main ingredient in the potion is hair, spit, blood, or sperm. Once the potion is done it needs to cool for a week and then the person must pour the potion at their feet. The potion will begin to steam and rise around the person. Then the steam changes into lines and spreads out and connects to the living members. The more faded the line the more distant they are related. The more visible the line is the more direct relations they share. Understand?"
"So the most visible lines should connect to dad and mum?"
Allen turned and looked at Godric. "Correct. The aurors will follow the line that doesn't connect to your dad." He stood and turned towards the aurors. "This only lasts an hour and after that they began to fade."
"Understood."
"Good. Here you go." He handed the vial to Godric.
Godric took a deep breath and poured. Once the lines formed a startling discovery occurred. The aurors didn't notice since they took off after the line that left Hogwarts.
