Guilt

(With Harry and Godric)

Harry and Godric were in the library. They were doing their potion homework. Godric was still having trouble with that subject. His cousin, which was still weird for them to say, was happy to help him. He really loved potions and he had a way with getting Godric to understand.

"Hey Harry?"

"Yes?" He looked up at him.

"Would you mind if Ron joined us sometimes? He also has trouble with potions."

"As long as you don't expect us to be friends then I don't care if he joins."

Godric grinned. "I don't."

"Good."

The redhead smiled. He had been expecting a no so he was happy. The smile fell when he thought about all that happened since school started and his attitude. He especially thought about his mum and the woman that was pretending to be his mum. Harry noticed and placed his hand on his arm.

"What's wrong?"

"Just the thought of my mum not raising me and some woman who wanted me dead was."

"I'm sorry Godric." There wasn't much he could say to help his cousin.

"Not your fault." He mumbled.

"Not yours either."

Godric looked up into bright emerald green eyes. He was shocked. He couldn't believe that Harry knew how he was feeling. He couldn't believe it.

"How?"

"It's not hard to tell that you are feeling guilty. It's all over your face. I just guessed why you were feeling guilty."

"Oh."

"The dark lord went after your parents. It was HIS decision. The woman that took your mother's place did that on her own."

"But it was because of me."

"You didn't choose that."

"I know b-"

"There is no but." He glared.

"I can't help it."

"I know." His look softened. "Did you tell your parents?"

"No. I can't."

"How about my dad or grandpa?" He asked.

"I don't know." He bit his lip.

"You need to talk to an adult about this."

"I know. I guess I could write a letter to grandpa." He said.

"Good." He smiled softly.

"Yeah."

Godric took out a piece of paper and began writing. Once done he went to the owlery and sent it off. He then returned to Harry. His cousin continued where they left off.

(With Allen)

The man was in his potion lab when the letter arrived. He read it and sighed softly. His poor grandson was blaming himself for all that had happened. He sent a letter off to the headmaster before putting his supplies away. He left the lab.

"Everything okay dad?" Brandon asked.

"No. Your nephew is blaming himself for his mum being kidnapped and a crazy person taking her place." He said and showed him the letter.

"Oh. Damn."

"Yes. I'm going to the hospital to inform his parents."

"You have Healer Sharpe's contact information?" He was a mind healer.

"No. Good idea." He quickly summoned it.

"I'll see you later."

"Okay." He left after that.

It didn't take Allen long to arrive. James was surprised to see him but smiled and greeted his father-in-law. It was still odd to think about it.

"Good evening Allen."

"Good evening. I received this letter from Godric." He said and handed it over.

"Oh damn." He didn't like that.

"I have the contact information of a really excellent mind healer that specializes in children cases like this. Healer Sharpe helped Harry after his mum passed."

"Thank you. I will contact her right away."

"Good. I informed the headmaster."

"Good." He sighed.

"I can stay with Lily if you want to go check in on your son."

"Thank you. Please let her know what is going on."

"Of course."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

James left the hospital. Allen went to his daughter's room. She was sleeping. He sat down and waited.
