Bonding

(With the Headmaster)

The man had been in his office when the letter arrived. He opened it and sighed. He had been worried about Godric and this made it worse. He sighed once more and called Minerva into his office. She wondered what this was about.

"Albus?"

"I received a letter from Allen Reese. Godric Potter wrote to him. He's blaming himself for what happened to his mum." He told her.

"Oh dear." She sat down on the chair.

"Indeed." He agreed.

"Does his father know?" She asked.

"Allen said that he was going to inform him." He answered.

"Good. Poor boy." She felt for him.

"I know." He too felt that way.

"What are we going to do?" She asked.

"I'm going to get James in here and suggest getting his son a mind healer." He answered.

"Sounds good to me." She said.

"I hope so." He sighed.

The two were silent for a bit. They felt for Godric. The boy was eleven and was going through so much. Luckily Harry was there. His cousin would stay by his side. He also had more family than he previously thought.

Knock Knock

"Come in."

James entered the office. "Hey. I'm here about Godric."

"We know. I received Allen's letter." Albus told him.

"I called a mind healer. He has agreed to see Godric on Saturday." He informed them.

"Good." Albus said as he wrote it down.

"Do you know where he is?" He asked.

"Last I knew he was in the library with Harry." Minerva answered.

"I see. Do you mind if I go see him?" He asked.

"Of course not." Albus said.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

James left the office and went to find his son. He did find him in the library with his cousin. He paused and watched as Harry went over Godric's work with him. He smiled. It was nice seeing this. He soon walked over to them.

"Uncle James." Harry greeted him.

"Harry. Godric."

"That was fast. Godric just sent off the letter." He said,

"I sent that off to grandpa." He said, stunned.

"Your grandfather was concerned and came to tell me." James said.

"I didn't want to bother you." He was upset.

"I don't mind being bothered. Godric, your feelings are important and feeling guilty about this isn't okay. That's why this Saturday you are going to see a mind healer." He assured his son.
"Okay."

"Is it healer Sharpe?" Harry asked.

"It is." He confirmed.

"Oh he's good. Dad took me to her after mum died." he said.

"Sorry I didn't tell you dad." Godric said.

"I understand. Next time remember that no matter what is going on you can always come to me." He hugged him.

"I will." He promised.

"Good. I will see you on Saturday then."

"Okay. Bye dad."

"Bye Godric. Bye Harry."

"Goodbye uncle James."

James left after that. He went back to the hospital. He smiled as he entered his wife's room. Allen was showing his daughter some pictures he had of her as a baby before she was kidnapped. He was happy to see that she was doing well. The day before had been a bad day and it was all the medi-witches fault.

'Who tells a kidnapped victim it must be a shame to be predisposed to getting kidnapped? She was kidnapped twice and that is still no reason to be a bitch.'

"As you can see your mum used to dress you in green all the time. She said it brought out your eyes." He told her. "Which is a lie since she dressed you in green before your eye color changed."

"What was my mum like?" She asked.

"Oh that woman was fiery. You see we never cared about keeping our bloodline pure. We cared about compatibility and partnership. We never married our relatives. It's why the Reese's aren't related to almost every wizard or witch here in Britain. I met Fiona when I was fifteen. She was from Ireland and went to a school in Italy. She had come with her father on a business trip. She had been in the apothecary shop and the owner was trying to make money from her by overselling his products. She refused to have it." He smiled fondly at the memory.

"Did you come to her aid?" Lily asked.

"No. She had it handled. Once she had finished chewing out the owner she turned to leave and saw me standing there. Oh I must have looked like an idiot as I stared at her with awe." He chuckled. "She put her hands on her hips and asked what I was looking at. My idiot self told her." He shook his head.

"What did you tell her?" She asked.

"I told her I was looking at the most beautiful warrior angel." He chuckled.

"Seriously? How did she respond?" She asked.

"She blushed before hitting me. Called me a jerk and left the store. I followed her and apologized. I explained that it was odd to see the owner getting scolded by a woman. He always overpriced females because the man thought they were stupid and usually a male member would have to go in or she failed to notice. None have stood up to the man and it was amazing." He told her.

"I hate men like that." She scowled.

"So do I. That's why I fell for her." He told her.

"What did she say?" He asked.

"She accepted my apology. She now understood my awe. She left after that. I saw her again at my father's annual birthday ball. Her father was a friend of his and this year they were in Britain. She was a vision in that green dress. My dad used to say I embarrassed him by my drooling." He chuckled. "That night we talked. Oh she used to make fun of me for that day. I was a stuttering, blushing mess. She asked me out before going home."

"She asked you?" That was a shock.

"Yes. I was shocked and happy. I accepted of course." He smiled.

"Of course." Lily chuckled.

"Oh she was a smart and kind person. She named you after her favorite flower. She was heartbroken when you were kidnapped." He said sadly.

"H-how did she die?" He asked.

"She was sick for a long time. Magical people don't usually get muggle cancer. If we get cancer it is magical. Her's was on her core. She fought long and hard. She died a few weeks before Brandon started Hogwarts." He softly told her.

"Oh." She didn't know that.

"I don't think that boy ever told anyone. I had to get him a healer. Healer Sharpe's mother to be exact." He told him.

"Healer Sharpe?" She asked.

"A wonderful mind healer that helped Harry after his mum died." He told her.

"His mum was Minerva's sister?"

"That's correct." He nodded. "He met her when he was beginning his Care of Magical Creature mastery."

"How did she die?" She asked him.

"She had gotten a deadly version of the dragon pox. She was vaccinated but a competitor managed to mess with the disease so that she would still get sick. He wasn't trying to kill her, just make her sick for a few months so that his greenhouse was more popular than her. That man killed himself when he learned of her death." Even though he had been angry at the man he didn't want him to kill himself.

"Wow."

"Indeed. Harry was eight. He hated the man and felt anger that the man ended his life and wasn't punished for killing his mom." He said.

"Is that why he needed a mind healer?"

"That and he blamed himself. They went to the park the day she contracted the disease. His magic stopped him from getting it but couldn't stop his mum from getting it." Allen told her.

"Aw. Poor Harry."

"Indeed."

"We should get a healer for Godric." She said.

"Already done." James said, alerting her to his presence. Allen already knew he was there.

"Good." She said.

"It is. He was blaming himself." He revealed.

"Oh my poor boy."

"His first session is this Saturday."

"Good." She nodded.

"Time for you next round of potions Lady Potter." The healer said.

"Okay." She grimaced.

"Don't worry ma'am. You are healing up nicely and doing well in PT. Soon you won't be on so many." He assured her.

"I hope so."

"I need to leave but I shall be back tomorrow." Allen said.

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

"Goodbye you two." He said before leaving the room.
