Sam's party had turned out pretty interesting. The blood moon pack and the La Push pack merged together effortlessly. Everyone seemed to be getting along so well. Sam was totally wrapped up with Emily. Which put Leah at odds with mostly everyone. She sat alone and chugged beers down. We didn't notice when she left, but it must have been before dark.
A pleasant surprise was the fact that Alice and Jasper pretty much clung to each other all night. It was safe to say that Alice finally found her imprint. I was so happy for her. I've never seen her look so alive. She was smiling from ear to ear as I approached her. Alice was sitting in Jasper's lap, who was seated at the bonfire. He was drinking a bottle of some kind of alcohol, while Alice was drinking water.
Her eyes brightened as she saw me. "Hey Bella, how's it going?"
"Pretty good. I have some good news." I said holding out the scrap piece of paper with Henry's information.
Alice pinched the paper between her fingers, swallowing hard. She must have realized already that this piece of paper indicated. "Which one?"
"You're father, Henry." I said, already knowing what she was trying to ask.
Her eyes narrowed a little. "I'm not so sure when I'll be ready to speak with him. He is a vampire after all. How do we know we can trust him?"
"We don't know for sure, but he did seem to genuinely want to meet you." Jasper spoke with an easy smile. "But it's completely up to you, if you want to see him, he will be at Forks. So will your mom."
"I think I'd be fine with meeting Lucy, maybe I could go over to your place tomorrow." Alice said with a hopeful look at Jasper.
He nodded. "Of course, anything for you."
"You'll come with me too, right Bella?" Alice said with a little pout.
Edward pulled me down to sit in his lap as well, as he sat down next to Jasper. He didn't seem thrilled about the idea of me being there, in contact with Lucy or Henry. I could understand his feelings towards the vampire. But why was Lucy at issues as well?"
"I would like to meet Lucy as well." I said, peeking between Alice, Jasper and Edward. Scanning each of their expressions.
"Sam didn't go into much detail about Lucy, he failed to mention a few things." Jasper said gently, playing with a piece of Alice's hair. "But you have the right to know. Lucy no longer has her memories."
"So, she doesn't know that I even exist?" Alice muttered with teary eyes.
"It won't be a permanent thing, now that she won't be separated from Henry, we are hoping he can use his abilities to help her regain her memories." Edward explained, his hard eyes going soft. "Please be patient for now."
Alice nodded glumly. "Alright, I'll try. It's just… I was really looking forward to meeting her."
"What about your adoptive parents, what do they have to say about all of this?" Jasper asked with a raised brow. "I'm not so sure they are going to like the idea of you meeting your real parents."
Alice shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not telling them anything. I'm done with them. They lied to me for all these years. I don't trust them." I knew she was speaking out of pain. She was hurt by their actions. But at the end of the day, those two raised her and loved her deeply. Maybe she would realize that some day. I knew Alice had officially moved out of her adoptive parents house, she was completely moved in with me now. I made sure to call and okay that with Rene. And just like I thought, she didn't care in the slightest.
She was too busy hiking through the wildlife trails of Canada with Phil, to worry about what was happening here at home. I was happy for her as well. It sounds like she was really enjoying her time with this new man. I wouldn't ask for any details, I'm sure she would tell me all about him, when she was ready. Rene said she would be coming home, maybe after one more month. I wasn't holding my breath. At least, I had Charlie.
Sam and a few others came now to sit around the fire with us, ending our private conversations. The moon had just made it above our heads. The crackling of the fire seemed to put everyone at ease. The smell of smoke permeated the air around us, while the blistering hot embers popped up like fireworks from the roasted logs. I could feel the heat of the fire, warming my legs. I let myself relax. Listening to the random conversations starting around me. Emmett and Rose did Edward a favor by taking Erik back home. I had the feeling that I should go home, I did have school in the morning. But I didn't want to leave Edward's side for a moment. I wasn't ready for our night to end.
There was a cold chill in the air. But Edward kept me nice and warm.
Time marched on quickly, the only ones remaining was Sam, who was making out with Emily. Jasper and Alice, who sat closely together, having a quiet conversation. And Edward and I. Everyone seemed pretty distracted with their imprints. It was nice. Seeing everyone so happy. This was the most at peace I've felt in a long time. Especially with Edward's hands all over me.
There was a faint smell of beer on his breath as he spread kisses down my neck. He wasn't drunk. He only had two beers. But he seemed a bit more laid back. Comfortable. \
His lips touched my ears, causing me to shiver. "Would you like to take this back to your place?" He whispered seductively.
I chewed my bottom lip, nodding eagerly.
Edward stood up, easily pulling me up into his arms, bridal style. He gave Sam a nod of respect, before walking back towards my house.
I waved goodbye to Alice, she seemed pretty distracted, but waved back with one of the happiest smiles I've ever seen on her face. This only put me at ease even further. She was in good hands. I knew Jasper would keep a close eye on her. I would have nothing to worry about. I could just focus on Edward for tonight.
Our lips connected in passion as we approached my house. In a flash we were inside, leaving a trail of clothing behind us. My bare skin was pressed tightly against his. My back hit the mattress, causing a low creak. Edward hovered over me, watching me with a look of hunger. We didn't have to speak, I merely nodded my head and brought my hips up to bump against his erection. His entire body trembled, he thrusted inside of me hard, with the sound thundering claps. The pleasure was indescribable. I let out a moan of delight, my fingers ran through his hair. I tried to keep up with his frantic pace, the urge to get closer was overwhelming. My toes curled as he shifted his position a little more, he drew himself in closer, hoisted my legs to lay at the top of his shoulders. The angle changed, he slid in deeper. His breathing was fast, he tilted his head back to leave out a groan.
I enjoyed the sounds he was making and the look of bliss on his face. A smirk pulled at his lips as he leaned down to lightly flick my nipple with his tongue. My eyes rolled to the back of my head for a moment as I enjoyed the feeling of his mouth against my sensitive skin. I desperately wanted more. I felt myself approaching the limit of what I could stay. My fingers clawed his back as I held onto him tightly.
We made love for what felt like hours. We would take brief moments to take a break, get a drink, stretch, but we couldn't get enough. I never thought sex would be this good. I'm glad I held out, I'm glad it was Edward to take my virginity. It made every second together that much sweeter. It was nearing two in the morning before we were able to pull apart from each other. I laid on my side, watching Edward as he stood at the end of the bed, talking quietly into his cell phone. He was getting permission from his mom to stay the night. It sounded like Esme was putting up a bit of a fight, but after he promised that he would be back home to make it on time to school, it seemed to satisfy her. I heard her warning him to be safe and not pressure me into doing anything that I didn't want to do.
Edward glanced over at me with pink cheeks. "I don't think you have to worry about that mom." He ran his hands through his messy hair now.
Soon, he was off his phone and back into my bed. His arms came around me, holding me close to his chest. I relaxed into his side, getting comfortable. I was relieved that he was allowed to stay. I might have a much easier time falling asleep with him here. He gave me a slow, gentle kiss. I listened intently to his heart beating in his chest and the delicate sounds of his breathing. I let my eyes flutter closed. But not for long. I heard the front door open and close.
The sounds of two people moaning and kissing caught my attention. I reached over to my night stand and got ear plugs. I used to wear these at night when Rene was home more often. She was awful with snoring. I had almost considered tossing these out. I'm glad I kept them. It sounds like Alice and Jasper were moving along quickly. I wouldn't judge. But I also didn't want to hear it. I peeked over to Edward, but he looked to have already fallen asleep. I stuck the brightly colored ear plugs in my ears, before getting myself comfortable again.
Hopefully they didn't wake Edward up, I only had one set of these.
Jacob's Point of View
"So, the guy's name is Mike Newton. He has been pestering your daughter nonstop. Sam mentioned, there were two separate cases where he attempted to rape her. He was successful the first time. But not this most recent time." I said, folding my arms across my chest, as I stood in the doorway to Henry's little trailer.
Henry glared murderously in my direction. "That little bastard should be put to death, for crimes like that. Where can I find him?" He looked like he was ready to rip his way through me, just to get on Mike's trail.
"Well, he is on house arrest at La Push, but he frequently sneaks out to Forks. Apparently there is a woman, part of your clan, that he has been hooking up with." I said, glancing at each of the others in the room.
Raymond narrowed his eyes between the two other girls present. "Let's hear it, who has been seeing a werewolf?"
Claire stood tensely next to him, for once she didn't have a smile on her face. She watched the two other girls with disappointment. But I could see it was hard for her to remain looking that way. She had such a kind heart. It was hard to imagine she could ever fall in love with Raymund. He was a very cold-hearted man. He didn't have compassion for others and no regard for anyone but himself, or Claire. I wasn't sure how much the others trusted him. More so, they were scared of him. And what he might do, if they didn't follow his rules.
The shortest girl hung her head in shame. "I had no idea he was hurting your daughter, Henry, please forgive me." She looked as if she was about to sob. Her little body trembled.
Raymund sighed, shaking his head. "I'll let the punishment be up to you Henry." He turned to look at Henry, who was still fuming.
"Liddie, tell me the truth, did that scumbag imprint on you?" Henry hissed, moving to stand over the small woman.
She shook her head quickly, her golden eyes flickering between him and Raymund. "No, I swear, it wasn't Mike, it was one of the other guys from the meeting. But I don't even care if I never see him again." Her voice shook. No one believed her.
Claire cleared her throat, moving to wrap her arms around Liddie. "Hush sweetie, don't worry about a thing. You can't get in the way of true love. No one can. Not even my dear husband. You are free to see your love, if you wish."
Raymund snorted, with a look of distaste. "It had to be a wolf," He glanced at me, with slight guilt. "No offense."
"None taken," I shrugged it off with a grin. "But what I'm really here for, is to figure out what to do about Mike Newton. He is going to cause us a big problem. Plus, he tried putting his moves on my imprint as well. He can't be left off the hook."
Henry's frown deepened. "He tried to abuse Bella as well, she means a great deal to Alice, so this only adds to his punishment. We should eliminate him. He is a threat to his own people."
Raymund nodded slightly, running a hand through his hair. "I kind of like that wolf girl. So, I'll agree with you. Mike should be put to death. Does anyone oppose it?"
Liddie and the other girl shook their heads, they seemed to agree it was for the best. The only one that didn't seem to agree was Claire, but we all knew that wasn't going to change. We let it up to a vote. Everyone else followed what Raymund wanted. They knew his wrath, if they sided against him.
"How should we do it? I mean, he lives on La Push boundaries. We could set a trap, to have him come here, to meet up with Liddie." Raymund mused, seeming thrilled to talk about killing a wolf. Even though we had just signed treaties of peace, just a few hours ago. Raymund was just one of those people. The rest of the vampires in this coven were relatively nice and friendly people. But Raymund you had to keep your eyes on. He had a smooth tongue.
"Why not just use Henry's abilities on him?" Claire suggested with a small smile. "Perhaps adjusting a small detail of his future may send him to the grave a tad earlier than planned." Even she spoke kindly in regards to death. I didn't know if that made her more or less frightening.
"There would be no torment, I'd like to take this into my own hands. If that asshole wants to use his body to hurt people, I will make it so he can't do that anymore. I won't kill him, but I'll reduce his quality of life to the point that he wishes he was dead." Henry said with a sadistic look on his face.
Henry was usually so sweet and modest. It was so strange, seeing him this upset… for the first time, he really looked like a vampire. I almost pitied Newton now. But this was necessary. If I wanted my plans to work, Mike needed to be out of the picture. I didn't need any more rivals for Bella's affection. Edward would be enough to deal with. Mike was an easy first target. With the vampires on my side, I'm sure I could accomplish anything. I would crush my enemies and win the girl. This clan had so many unique abilities. I just needed to get on Raymund's good side. He was the master of this house. If he liked you, he would make sure that you are well taken care of. Like some kind of mob boss. It was intimidating at times. But I held my ground. I had plans. I had to stick to this.
Don't show fear. Keep your true feelings to yourself. You love vampires. You respect them and just want to live peacefully with them. Yes. That's the cover. That's what they had to believe. It's the only way I could hope to take control of the other packs. I'd do everything I could. Even if it meant turning my own pack against me.
