We all were having a pretty good time, we set a bonfire in the yard. There was a really nice stone firepit Sam had. Every time we had a little party, he would use this firepit. So naturally we used that to cook our hotdogs. Everyone was sitting around the fire, talking and having a good time, except for Felix. His expression remained emotionless. He didn't even eat. He just watched the rest of us. Unimpressed. I wanted to ask him what his problem was, and demand to know why he is just sitting there, making everything awkward for everyone else. Even Irina was getting troubled by Felix's behavior.

I couldn't eat any hotdogs, just the smell of it was making me gag, instead I continued to munch on some watermelon. Edward watched over me closely. Every bite I took. There was worry on his face, now more than ever. He hovered over me at times. His presence was constant. Which I didn't mind. But the intensity of his stare would get me anxious at times. I knew that he was more or less just overly concerned with my pregnancy. This was a pretty big deal for him, well, for both of us. And I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Especially still being in high school.

Admittedly, Charlie handled the news, better than I would have expected. He only threatened Edward's life two or three times. At first, he wanted to ground me, he told Rene everything and even suggested that I go spend some time with her. Rene of course had the opposite reaction. She was overjoyed. In fact, she actually decided to come home for a few days, to see how I was feeling and reinforce the notion that she would always be here for me. She was over-the-moon with Edward and kept dropping hints for him to propose. It was all completely embarrassing. I didn't know who had the worst reaction.

Eventually Charlie came around the idea of it all. But it took a while. I think what really pushed him over to the side of acceptance was seeing the first ultrasound. I remembered the day so vividly. Edward and Charlie were at my side. Rene would have been there as well, but she was already back in Canada. Edward's hand was trembling in mine. His eyes were plastered on the monitor. Charlie was watching the nurse with a look of suspicion as she applied the cool gel to my stomach. They didn't make eye contact with each other. I wasn't even sure Charlie wanted to be in the same room with Edward at this point, but the moment the nurse had all of our attention turned to the screen, I could practically hear all the hearts in that room stop for a moment.

Triplets. I couldn't believe it. I thought I would nearly pass out. I thought one baby would be enough. But just as Henry predicted, I would be having a multiple baby pregnancy. That means that everything was a bit worse, than if I was only to have a single baby, like Alice. But I didn't care. I didn't waiver from this.

I remembered the look on Charlie's face, it turned a few different colors, and his eyes widened, almost in a cartoon-like fashion. The look was comical. But soon a huge smile came to his face as he watched the monitor. Pride. Joy. Panic. All those emotions danced between Edward and Charlie. It was as if just the sight of the babies had mended their relationship. They went right away into planning and sorting out next steps for a nursery. Charlie had begun calling Edward son, and went out of the way to continue a positive relationship with him. All signs of anger were gone. He just was excited to become a grandfather. I knew that he was wishing that this would have happened after high school at least. He worried about what my future would look like. And to be honest, I was worried as well. But it was something that I would just figure out along the way. With Edward by my side. I just hoped that I would become a good mother to these babies.

At the moment, Rene has plans to return home, once I'm farther along. She will stay home with me for a while, to help with the babies. I had three afterall. Of course, she has given Edward permission to move into the house, to help me take care of the babies as well. Alice was staying with me too. But she would have her own baby to worry about. Still. We would do our best to support each other. I'd help her and she would help me. I'm sure Charlie will come around often as well to help. As for Edward's family, they insisted on coming as well to help at least three times a week. So, there were a bunch of people supporting these babies. I wouldn't be alone in this.

Edward was in the process of moving in. There are still some challenges to overcome with his move. He would have to continuously travel between here and Forks, to lead his pack. There are negotiations starting between Sam and Edward on boundaries and territories. They would like to come to some kind of agreement in allowing the two packs to live closer together. Perhaps give Edward's members housing on the outskirts of La Push. So the travel wouldn't be so bad. For now, Jasper has really kept up with things in Forks, for Edward. Which made Edward feel a bit guilty. He would like to lessen Jasper's workload. But still be there to help me with our babies, when the time comes.

I wasn't sure how it was all going to work, but we had time.

"You know, Emily has been quiet for a really long time. Should we go in and check on her?" Alice asked while chewing her hotdog. She had it coated in so much ketchup, you couldn't even tell it was a hotdog.

Felix stood rigidly. "I'll check on her."

"Now just hold on," Edward said with narrowed eyes. "Sam appointed me, to keep an eye on her."

"You wouldn't want to leave your pregnant girlfriend's side, would you?" Felix raised a brow.

"Babe, what's your problem?" Irina muttered, tugging at Felix's arm. "Just let him go up and check on her. He knows that we have our eyes on Bella."

Felix sighed heavily, frustration clouding his eyes. "It's fine, I just was going to head in to get a drink, so I offered to go and check on her."

I had a gut feeling that something was going on here. I could tell Edward was suspicious. Irina was getting concerned. While Alice remained oblivious. She contently ate her hotdog, as she watched out towards the setting sun. Felix was hiding something. Clearly. Now he was feigning indifference.

"What's going on Felix?" Edward said with a stiffened jaw. "Is there something about Emily that you aren't telling us?"

"I couldn't say," Felix stated plainly.

Irina stared at him in surprise. "Does Jacob have you doing his dirty work again? Has something happened to Emily?"

Felix glanced at her and blinked his eyes rapidly. "I think I'm going to take a walk into the South woods." The tone of his voice was very off. As if he was hinting at something. Irina seemed to understand completely. She turned to the rest of us.

"It sounds like Jacob may have done something to Emily, Felix wants us to head into the South woods. We will most likely find Jacob."

Edward scrambled to his feet, but carefully guided me and Alice back up onto the porch. "You two need to stay here, stay inside and lock all the doors." He spoke in a rushed tone.

"Wait, why can't we come with you?" Alice said worriedly. "If Jacob has Emily, we need to be there to help her."

"We don't know what the situation is yet, but we should investigate. Irina will stay back as well. Felix will come with me." Edward said, throwing scowl in Felix's direction.

Irina nodded tensely, moving to link arms with me and Alice. She had a startling look on her face. If looks could kill. Felix would be on his deathbed, under the stare Irina was giving him. She clearly wasn't pleased with this. "No need to worry, I'll keep the two of them perfectly safe. Just make sure Emily is alright."

Edward towered over her with a deep growl falling off his lips. "Listen, I don't trust either of you. If one hair on their head is out of place when I get back, I'll kill you myself."

Irina trembled under his gaze, bowing her head in respect. "Yes, Alpha."

"Edward," I called out to him as he turned to walk down the porch steps. He paused, turning back to me with concern. "Yes,"

"Come back safely, I love you."

He offered a small smile. "Always, I love you too." With that small exchange between us, I watched as Edward and Felix left. Alice, Irina and I were still standing on the porch. The mood was ruined. I had been so calm and in bliss. Now I felt like chewing the nails off my fingers. I hated situations like this. No one knew what was going on, or what would happen. I worried about Edward getting hurt. I didn't want to let him go without me. But what help would I be? I would just get in the way. I couldn't phase, because of the babies. So what use would I be in a fight?

"How did you know Felix was hiding something?" Alice asked, turning to Irina. "It was like the two of you had your own private conversation."

"We found a way around Jacob's gag orders. Instead of saying anything directly, or outright. We came up with some easy codes and phrases to communicate, while staying incognito." Irina said with a sigh. "Blinking fast, usually means that something is very wrong. Then he practically spelled out the location of the trouble. South woods. It's the boundary line between La Push and Forks. I just hope whatever happens, that everyone makes it back safely."

"That's pretty smart, but unfortunate that you have to do that. Have you ever thought about leaving Jacob's pack?" I asked casually.

Irina sighed deeply as she walked Alice and I, into Sam's house. "Of course, but I can't. Not without Felix. And he will never leave. He is in debt to Jacob. He saved his life while they were children. I could never ask him to do something like that."

Once we made it inside, Alice curled herself in a blanket on the couch, before dialing her cell phone. Whoever she was calling answered quickly.

I sat down next to her, pulling some of the blankets around me as well. She rested her head on my shoulder, glancing at me with a smile, before turning her attention back to her private conversation. It sounded like she was speaking with Henry. So I tried not to eavesdrop.

Irina went up stairs, probably to check and make sure that Emily wasn't here. It was quiet in the house, with just the sounds of Alice muttering into her phone. I could hear the concern in Alice's voice. But waited until she finished talking to speak up. I watched out the window, at the last few moments of sunlight, before the sun completely left the sky. It had been such a peaceful day. But as always, all good things come to an end. Darkness enveloped the sky now. Tonight it wouldn't just be vampires out there, creeping through the night. Now there would be a bunch of wolves prowling the area, looking for mates. Totally out of control with lust.

The thought brought a chill down my spine.

Alice hung up after a while, leaving out a sigh of relief. "I asked my dad to head out and help Edward and Felix."

I raised a brow. "Really? It sounds like he would do just about anything for you."

"It kinda sounds that way doesn't it." Alice grinned sheepishly. "I was surprised how easy it was to build a connection with him. I didn't think it would be so natural. Although, things with Lucy aren't exactly easy yet."

I had noticed that. Lucy and Alice had such different personalities. Lucy was very rough around the edges. Fierce, demanding and holds some pretty high expectations of Alice. At times I think Lucy was a little hard on her. But Henry would jump in and defend Alice each and every time. It was easy to see Henry was wrapped around Alice's finger.

"You may be right. Lucy wants us to come over to her place. She thinks it would be more safe for the rest of us." Alice said with an uneasy expression.

"I don't think that's a good idea. Not when mating season starts in a few hours. Not to mention Edward and Jasper aren't around. I think we should just stay here and wait." I said with a nod.

Irina's Point of View

I stood rigidly in Sam's bedroom. Taking note of the disarray. There had been a struggle. I felt very on edge and uncomfortable in this situation. I forced my legs to move as I spotted a piece of paper folded neatly on the nightstand, next to the bed. My hands trembled slightly as I snagged the paper to read the note left behind. I recognized Jacob's sloppy hand-writing.

When the time comes, you know what to do. End her life.

I knew what this meant. I wasn't a fool. It was an order from Jacob. He saw these events taking place. He would never want me to hurt Bella. It was Alice, who was the target here.

My heart was pounding hard in my chest. I crammed the note in my pocket with disgust. No. I wouldn't do it. I can't do it. Alice and Bella were my friends. I wouldn't kill any innocent person. Especially not a pregnant woman. Death would only be delivered to the vampire scum that deserved it. I knew Alice was partially a vampire. But how could anyone really think that's what she was. Her heart beats. She doesn't consume blood. She is going to give birth to a child. She was nothing like a vampire. She was different. I wouldn't become the means to her life ending.

Slowly I took a few steps to the window, watching out into the darkness. My mind was racing with anger and regret. Please Felix. Open your eyes. See through all of this. Jacob is using us like pawns. He is destroying everything that we have worked so hard for. It's not worth staying under his command. We needed to leave. Rip ourselves out from under his thumb. We could do it. I know we could find a way to escape.

My phone started buzzing in my pocket, catching me off guard. I flinched, before getting it out of my pocket and checking who it was. It was Jane.

Nope. I wasn't about to listen to her either. I ignored the call and went back to thinking through a way to run away. I had to stay here, until the others came back. I promised Edward that I would protect Alice and Bella. So that's what I'd do. But once they made it back, I would need to go into hiding for a little while. Surely I would receive punishment for not following Jacob's orders.

With a heavy sigh, I walked out of the bedroom and into the small bathroom that was attached to this room. I went to the sink to splash some water on my face. I stared at myself in the mirror for a moment, before my eye settled on a little pink pregnancy test sitting in the trash bin. Leaning down, I gathered the test from the bin, taking note of the two pink lines.

My eyes widened. She is pregnant as well.

How dare he. That bastard. That absolute idiot. He was a vile, despicable man. I dropped the test as a sudden sharp pain coursed through my body. I backed up quickly, until my back hit the wall. My entire body was trembling. The pain was excruciating. The worst thing I have ever felt. The beast inside of me was howling in defiance and fury. It felt like I was about to phase. But I held myself back. Thanks to those lessons in control with Sam and Edward, I finally had a trick to keep myself calm. I took a few breaths and just focused on Felix's image in my head.

I was able to calm myself down after a few minutes. But just as I thought it was over, I felt something snap. Something deep within. It felt like a strong bond had been cut. I looked around the room, uncomfortably. I couldn't sense my pack. It felt like I was completely alone. Quickly I ran from the bathroom, making my way down the stairs, to where Alice and Bella were curled up watching a movie. The two of them turned to look at me with confusion.

"What's wrong Irina?" Alice asked.

"I-I don't know… I felt something strange… I just… I think my wolf has decided not to follow under Jacob's commands. I think I just became a rogue wolf." Tears started to fill in my eyes. I hated this feeling. It was so lonely and dark. I felt lost, afraid. I wanted to run away and find Felix. The world seemed colder. Unwelcoming.

Bella sensed my anguish and rose to her feet. She approached me with a gentle smile. Her arms came around me, warm and inviting. Like a mother. I allowed her to hug me. I melted into her in fact. I wrapped my arms around her and just let myself become vulnerable. She held me tightly for a while, while her hand rubbed my back.

"Don't be sad, you know that Alice and I are here for you. You will never be alone." She replied quietly.

My wolf paced inside of me. Delighted, happy and instantly obedient. I could feel the draw to Bella instantly. She was a future luna, it was a feeling that overwhelmed me. It was comforting. I felt like I was coming home. For the first time. I never had parents, it was just Kate and I for the longest time. Our parents died a long time ago, we didn't even remember them. I never experienced warmth and kindness like this before.

Alice now came over as well, hugging me along with Bella. She offered me a smile. "Don't worry, we already consider you family. La Push could be your home as well." Her embrace was just as soothing. Like embracing a sister. The bonds returned, strong and unchanging. Eternal. Nothing like how I felt while under Jacob. He ruled with fear, manipulation and greed. There were never any positive feelings. He was like all the foster families that Kate and I went through. Homes with no love and acceptance.

I wiped the tears from my eyes, finally able to smile again. Bella's motherly touch had melted the icy from my veins. I felt the urge to bow. To get down to my knees in front of her. Worship the ground she walked on. Just to stay by her side. She held onto me tightly, not allowing me to move.

"If you really feel like you would like to join our pack, I'm sure Sam will welcome you with open arms." She replied.

I shook my head. "No, it's not Sam's pack that I want to be in. I want you to be my luna. I just hope Edward will accept me."

Bella looked surprised but pleased. "I'll talk with him, I'm sure he would love to have you. But what about Felix?"

The mention of Felix's name brought a sharp pinch in my chest. I was worried about him. I wanted to see him. Tell him that things didn't have to be this way. Jacob was suffocating us. I didn't realize how badly, until I was free of him. Felix was under his illusions.

"We will have to figure something out, but for now. There are a lot of things I need to tell you. Now that I'm not under Jacob's command, I can tell you everything." I said with a sigh. "You might want to sit down, before this is going to be shocking."

Edward's Point of View

Just as I reached the edge of the tree line, marking the south boundary line. Felix shot out ahead of me, stopping me from going any closer. I paused, watching his expression closely.

"What is it, Felix? Having second thoughts on allowing me to see what Jacob is up to?" I glared at him openly. It was no secret that I hadn't trusted him for one second.

"I just don't want to see you get killed. Believe it or not, I don't hate you, or your pack. Bella has been really good to my imprint. Irina never made friends before. I enjoy seeing her so happy. So it wouldn't be right to let her friend's imprint die." Felix muttered, a sour look coming to his face.

"And who do you think is going to kill me?" I challenged, marching up to him. Even though he towered over me, with obviously larger muscles and a more threatening demeanor, he still bowed his head. Taking a cautious step away from me. He sensed that our ranks were much different. Even though we are from separate packs, he could sense that I was an Alpha. I should never be taken lightly.

"If you interrupt him, he will kill you." Felix warned again. "I won't be able to stop him."

"I'll take my chances." I growled, moving quickly past him, deeper into the forest. I could hear him walking behind me. Probably ready to assist, if a fight was to break out. It didn't take long before I made it to the center of the forest. A truck was there, all I could see was Jacob's back, facing the truck. I saw a pair of legs resting at the top of her shoulders. His hips bucked aggressively into someone. The force caused the entire truck to rock back and forth. There were muffled screams, fear and sorrow.

Jacob turned his head as I approached, a smirk on his face. "What, did you want her after I was done?"

"You filth, this is how you lead a pack. Let her go, now!" I demanded.

His actions made me sick to my stomach. I couldn't believe he would go as far as to rape a defenseless woman. I didn't know what drove him to do it. But it would be the last time someone was ever used in this way. I would make sure of it. This kind of behavior was disgusting, disrespectful and simply put, evil. He would die by my hands tonight.

Jacob didn't pause in his actions. He continued to force himself against Emily's small petite body. He grunted, picking up his pace. There was no concern for her in the slightest, he just wanted to get finished as fast as possible.

I went to charge him, but Felix wrapped his hands around my wrists. His grip was tight. He was stronger than me. It was unavoidable. But I still tried to fight against his hold. He sighed quietly. "I'm sorry about this," He whispered.

But as I turned to scowl at him, I watched in disbelief as I witnessed his head getting detached from his body. Blood spewed from the base of his neck. His head landed a few feet away. A locked facial expression of shock on his face. The hairs on the back of my neck raised, as I sensed the smell of danger. Death. And something sickly sweet. I moved without thinking, turning to face the new enemy.

"Relax Edward, I'm not here to kill you. We are here at the request of Henry's daughter." Raymund said, pulling out a long white cloth, to clean the blood from his hands. His eyes pointed to Jacob sharply. "See Henry, I told you he was not to be trusted."

Henry stepped out from the shadows with a dark, ominous look on his face. His sights were on Jacob. Cold. And now untrusting. The same as Raymund.

Jacob had quickly moved away from Emily and had his pants pulled up. He stared at the three of us in panic and anger. "Are you kidding, who gives you the right to come here and kill one of my pack members?"

"And what gave you the right to kidnap and rape Sam's imprint. Sam, the alpha of the La Push pack. The very guy you signed a peace treaty with a few months ago." I hissed, turning to check on Emily. She was lying in the bed of the truck, exposed, bruises decorating her skin. She was breathing heavily. I could hear her heart beating. She would be okay. We just need to get her out of here.

"I don't understand Jacob, I thought it was in your interest to keep the women of the packs safe. You are acting no better than Mike Newton." Henry growled.

"Well brother, you know we could do the same to him, as we did to Mike. What do you say?" Raymund smirked as he began to walk towards Jacob.

Jacob was flustered, his eyes scanned the area. "Now just you wait. I can explain everything. If you just let me."

"It's not going to work this time Jacob. No one trusts you. No one gives a shit about what you are saying. You screwed up and got caught in the act of it." Raymund commented, his eyes dancing with excitement. "To be honest, I've been looking forward to this day since we met."

Realization struck Jacob and he quickly phased and took off into the woods.

I looked at Raymund and Henry with hesitation.

"You are kind to my daughter, but I'm not willing to put my trust in a wolf again for a while. But we are willing to team up with you on this." Henry said with a guarded look, before taking off in the direction that Jacob went.

Raymund paused, a hint of a smile on his lips. "I find your imprint fascinating. I trust her. So you won't have to worry about me either. I'll gladly help you put that mutt down." He replied, before following Henry as well.

I chased after them, keeping up easily. I dialed Emmett's number and filled him in on everything. I made sure that he knew where the abandoned truck was. So he could pick up Emily and return her home safely.

Jacob was in our sights. But he was running for his life. He was beginning to pull farther and farther away from us. But we pressed on. There was no stopping us. To protect our people. Jacob would die tonight. I would make sure of that.

A/N: I hope you enjoy this chapter; it was a fun one to write. Finally Jacob might be getting what's coming to him. Will they catch him? Or is the rest of his pack waiting to help him out. How is Irina going to deal with the loss of her mate?
