"wait you actually showed up" asks Theodore
"I said once I healed I'd be here doc, it took slightly longer than I expected, I owe it to Ari to make this right" says Hannah as Lucy runs to hug her
"OMG she wasn't lying" says Lucy tears running down her face
"who is this she this little speaks of, only you and Ari knew I was coming" asks Hannah
"this is the unexplainable side of the family my aunt spoke of" says Cat
"ahh you must be Catarina, the babies are what almost two months now" says Lilly
"yeah soon, I'm noticing patterns that I don't like but nobody has any idea how to stop" says Cat
"what kind of patterns" asks Hannah
"let's just say they latch onto people, they will stare at Ari for hours, don't get too close to them, they're in the crib by the couch where my twin sister is napping" says Cat
"is Ari up" asks Hannah
"not at the moment but you're welcome to stay, treatment is exhausting her though she is almost done based on the blood tests, she idolizes you ya know" says Cat
"the problem is I'm not mentally stable, I have DID, I'm Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart, it's a constant battle, some days I'm more Miley than Hannah, others I'm more Hannah than Miley, my dad's not well, I can't reboot my career without Ariana at this point" says Hannah
"is it that bad, it clearly didn't used to be that bad" asks Cat
"it has gotten worse yes, the meds aren't always enough anymore, one personality can imitate the other to pass initial scrutiny but long term it doesn't go well, now Miley takes over and commandeers my phone and targets people who admittedly are pretty bad morally speaking but she tarnishes my reputation in the process, she has this morality complex if she thinks something is wrong she'll say it, since I became the dominant personality she's lost all compassion, I wouldn't be surprised if she attacked you for kissing your twin sister Violet, which for the record I don't have a problem with because you're not uncaring about restrictions" says Hannah
"then don't talk to Ariel or Izzy about their relationship, they're just over a year older than Violet and I, let's just say they play with fire more often than Violet and I do" says Cat
"I don't understand" says Hannah
"Ariel, Melissa and Isabella come a lot closer to breaking the rules than Cat and Violet do, Cat's doing her best to not trigger Miley" says Jade
"how long are we welcome here, I don't want Miley messing things up, you guys have a sweet gig here relationship wise" says Hannah
"you're welcome here as long as you like, keep Miley away from your phone, someone will keep Miley in check otherwise, Ari may also have DID, she will sometimes refer to herself as Maria but references to Maria disappear as quickly as they show up" says Cat
"that's how I started, popping in to say hello then retreating to safety, Miley let me out to play when she wanted to sing but maintain a relatively normal life but then my career took off and she gave me more and more control over her body and mind, her anxiety too strong to allow her to stay calm while fronting, especially around Lilly or on stage" says Hannah
"when was the last time Miley fronted" asks Theodore
"on stage in Tennessee last year, we'd done a stop there to meet family, the concert was pushed up that day because I had a doctors appointment, Miley thought it was sound check time, which is the only time she fronts during tours, usually to talk to dad or Lilly, rarely ever talking to Jackson, though I'm not sure why, anyway she forced me back so she could front, causing our body to faint, she doesn't front very often anymore but when she does it's never for very long, I think the longest was an hour and a half, of that time most of it is spent cuddling with Lilly" says Hannah
"she likes Lilly doesn't she, is that why you're dating her, to make Miley happy" asks Cat
"I didn't ask Lilly out to make Miley happy, I asked her out because she's cute and an amazing person and she's been by my side through nearly all of my career and life and yes that means I love her but independently of Miley, it was Miley that introduced the possibility of loving Lilly to me" says Hannah
"why would Miley have done that" asks Jade
"when you're a system you have to consider the feelings and needs of your system, that includes romantic feelings, Miley wanted to see If I harbored the same feelings for Lilly that she did, turns out my obsession over Lilly was influencing her emotions and feelings for Lilly, making them more intense and hard to ignore" says Hannah
"I didn't know alters could have that much influence over the host personality" says Tori
"normally that is how it works Tori, by that I mean individual personalities being mostly separate, the only way I could think that would explain Hannah having so much influence over Miley is if Miley was born with a mental illness that led directly to DID, not many of those exist" says Theodore
"I'm worried about what might happen to Miley, she's been odd when she does front, almost like she's going insane" says Lilly
"Theo they have to stay here, we have to get to the bottom of this, Miley has to be told about the affect she's having on others" says Katie
"that's harder than you think Katie" says Theodore
"look at her eyes Dad, you told me about this exact kind of story last week" says Katie
"that story was last month Katie, the nurse in charge of that patient messed up the dose to weight ratio, the girl died as a result, I'd rather speak to Miley first rather than just assume I know all the answers, also Hannah's eyes could look like that due to the cancer treatment we had to do to rid her of the cancer, residue of the medication lasts in the system for a few months, it usually affects the eyes" says Theodore
"how quickly could this be done, I don't want to delay the joint venture with Ariana Grandeur any more than I have to" asks Hannah
"I work the next three days straight but if Lilly is comfortable enough, all I need is a list of questions answered by Miley, it has to be word for word, meaning no interpretation or adjusting her words, otherwise you'd have to either wait till my day off or come to the hospital and I can ask the questions while at work" says Theodore
"she won't front in a hospital, the Miami bombing changed her, she won't front unless its safe, she has partial access to hearing and sight, also she won't answer the questions unless you make it obvious you won't make her change to be normal or revert back to how she was, she wants help but she won't consent to being forced to change or deal with her trauma" says Lilly
"right now I just want information to see if medication will help, I promise Miley will be consulted at each stage" says Theodore
"then I will do my best to get answers to your questions though Miley is pretty good at dodging questions if she's afraid it could be used against her" says Lilly
"I have no intention of using anything against her, I just know her feelings are affecting Hannah, Hannah's choice to 'quit' music can be directly linked to Miley's mood, what I do know is that Miley calling out that mayor for his sexism and slight racism wasn't meant to hurt anyone, she couldn't have known just how the mayor would react but she has to be told that her actions have real consequences for Hannah's representation, all I care about right now is what her motivation was for nearly destroying Hannah's career and life" says Theodore
"I'll see what I can do" says Lilly
"Ari mentioned something about a deal you proposed to her, may I ask what, I love your music and all but she's family and family comes first, I don't want you exploiting her" says Cat
"my label doesn't want me doing music alone because of the DID, Lilly isn't exactly musically inclined, I brought up that Ariana Grandeur was living in LA now and my manager nearly had a heart attack at the possibility of helping Ari, they admitted there wasn't an open slot but a duo was an option for me, but I'd have to live at the same address" says Hannah
"Ari doesn't know if she's allowed to join you, the label she was going to sign with was your label, the manager that brought her to LA was looking for a barely legal one night stand in return for being signed to the label" says Cat
"ugh Ryder Smith, we hate him, he's greedy as hell, I advised against sending him to sign anyone let alone her, they didn't listen because he behaves himself around them, he's a real creep but without evidence the label can't do anything or they might be sued for wrongful firing" says Hannah
"have them call the LAPD, Ari already told them everything" says Cat
"why haven't they called then, it's not like them" says Lilly
"they don't want to spook Hannah, they will pay a visit soon but they're hoping that the label will come forward handing Ryder over to them willingly, my aunt isn't like my mom, the great lawyer Vanessa Samantha Valentine, hard against corporations and companies when they don't put safety first into the products they sell, my mom was very very pro customer and she won ninety-nine percent of her cases, Aunt Valerie is more cautious with big companies and stars like Hannah, put the two together and you get a police chief that's worried Hannah will run from the label and never surface beyond local news again if she paid a visit to the label in search of a pervy manager" says Cat
"I mean she does have a point, I can be easily spooked, Oliver applying to Oxford university without telling me or Lilly is one example, he left Lilly in shambles, destroying a year's long relationship just so he could attend university abroad, he left with little explanation or advance warning, I had to pick up the pieces of Lilly's heart all by myself, he lives there now and doesn't message anyone that isn't in England, it hurts Lilly the most, he was a big part of her life" says Hannah
"trust me it's not for the reason you think, his phone got stolen basically the day he arrived in London, when the police finally got it back to him it had been messed with, numbers were changed, contact photos were altered, in particular yours and Lilly's, in particular they were nude fakes, he was afraid that contacting you the messages or calls could be traced and as a result real naked photos could be taken and put on the Internet, he got a new phone and phone number last month" says Jade
"how do you know all this" asks Hannah
"he's dating a cousin of mine who works in the tech industry, she advised him against contacting you just in case the texts, calls or video calls could be traced by whoever stole his phone to begin with, she knows I know quite a few famous people and was hoping I knew you or Lilly, unfortunately until recently I did not know either of you, I'll text my cousin right now, she said they were planning to rent an apartment in LA somewhere or maybe in Malibu after spending time in Japan later this month, she said that Oliver feels bad about not contacting you guys" says Jade
"Hannah and I should probably get settled in whatever room you're letting us stay in, Miley usually pops in, in about an hour every day, not usually for very long but I will have to explain it to her, she might be missing Oliver, the day he left, he only left us a note, that was the last day that Miley was the host, it was the last time that Miley was present for more than an hour, she read the first two words, handed the note to me and walked out to our bedroom, I read the note and followed her" says Lilly
"it's up the stairs to the right, first though is there anything I should know in the note that may get a bridge of trust between us and Miley" says Jade
"he knew about our feelings for Lilly, that him dating Lilly didn't make the situation any easier, he said he hadn't yet learned how to be the kind of person that Lilly needed him to be, that she deserved someone who sees her as forever wife material" says Hannah
"wait he didn't" asks Lilly confused, not remembering that part of the note
"it's not that he didn't see you that way Lilly, he did the hardest thing someone can do, he let the one he loved go, you take meds for your hyper and obsessive disorders, as he understood it taking that next step would mean he'd be the main person that would be expected to take care of medication costs and as funny as he can be to be around my cousin says nobody would take him seriously enough to give him a job that pays enough to even partially pay for your meds, he knew that, he didn't walk away just to walk away, he knew Hannah and Miley were waiting for a chance to be your girlfriend, he didn't leave you stranded, he left you in Hannah's capable arms, he saw something you didn't at the time, not only did it feel wrong to deprive you of your stability for his own gain, he saw how sad Hannah and Miley got when you kissed him, that's when he realized that he was being selfish and only hurting them, as a struggling artist himself he realized their music would only suffer and that Hannah and Miley were willing to stay single if it meant you could be happy with him, he couldn't stand that, he likened it to torturing themselves to let you be happy" says Jade
"Hannah, is what she says true" asks Lilly
"more or less though Miley didn't see it as torturing herself, she saw it as self sacrifice to let you be happy, besides there was an internal conflict between her and I" says Hannah
"what did you see it as" asks Lilly
"it was a torture I was willing to endure if it meant you could be happy, besides neither Miley or I ever thought you'd be friends with us still if we tried to ask you out or showed you how we felt while you were dating Oliver" says Hannah
"oh" says Lilly feeling slightly guilty as Izzy walks down the stairs
"the bed is all prepped for you, though we can always switch out sheets or blankets if needed, though they're made by Soft Samantha so they're absolutely unimaginably soft" says Izzy
"I thought you just made clothes or clothing related garments" asks Lilly
"technically I still do, it's a limited run, since the girls were born the rude comments have died down significantly, it's a run of a thousand, you will be sleeping in a bed laden in number ten of the thousand" says Cat
"omg I love your clothes, though don't take this the wrong way but I thought your girls would have darker skin" says Lilly
"so did everyone else, genetics is weird, the possibility that her girls would have darker skin is why Cat almost shut Soft Samantha down, people were telling her she was going to have the devils children, she felt immense pressure and it terrified her, Izzy and Melissa's ad in Canada changed how people saw Soft Samantha, they thought it was all about Cat making a name for herself, that was never the case, she was trying to get her mom's legacy to show, to show that the artsy daughter of a well loved lawyer cares about others safety and comfort as much as if not more than her mom did, Ari will be around for supper tonight, the blood cleaning process is taking the energy out of her, however if you feel so inclined you are allowed to visit her in her room" says Theodore
"going into her room seems kind of invasive, is it really ok for me to do that, when I was in the hospital for chemo I didn't want anyone around me, not even Lilly, not until I was finished that days chemo" says Hannah
"the beginning of her treatment was very painful because the medication was destroying bad blood cells, her body wasn't doing it itself as it should have because the bad stuff has been circulating long enough that it couldn't tell the difference, on top of that she had to get transfusions to replace the bad blood while the medication reset her bone marrow so it negates anything from the toxin in new blood generation, it worked pretty fast but it was painful, anyway even in excruciating pain she made sure that she liked and commented on your chemo posts, it got her to open up a little bit about her health to her own fans" says Felicia using words Theodore told her
"you must be Felicia, very few people deserve someone like Ari, she's special, she's unique and she cares about people more than any famous artist I know, you're the spitting image of the kind of person who I imagine she'd fall in love with" says Hannah
"what's that supposed to mean exactly" asks Felicia
"your eyes, your voice and your hair, I don't know anyone with that magical combination, your voice is soothing, your eyes are like emeralds and your hair looks like silk, if I didn't know better I'd say Ari is dating a literal angel from heaven" says Hannah

"yes, my words eli, I grew up friends with Hannah through Miley, my dad and their dad were friends, it's how Miley never really got in trouble when she got greedy and used Hannah's name for things, like say a driver's license then drove as Miley" says Tori
"wait, Miley didn't know that" says Lilly
"it was designed so that she wouldn't know, that way she couldn't brag about getting away with some of the things she got away with, officer Diaria knew her secret the entire time, he used the encounter to get his daughter a one on one with 'Hannah Montana' except she was in Miley mode so his daughter took some convincing, however most officers in the LA area knew and were ordered to keep it a secret, orders were to scare, not arrest" says Tori
"would they have told her if she'd asked" asks Lilly
"Hannah maybe but they had a direct line to Robbie Ray, if he said no don't tell her they couldn't tell her, though the LAPD didn't know about the dissociative identity disorder thing, I assume your dad didn't want them to know, anyway we should all rest a little, Cat has three feedings between now and dinner, her girls are apparently snack girls as opposed to full meal girls, anyway seriously get some rest, Ari will be begging to talk to you when she gets up" says Tori as Hannah and Lilly nod and head to the room that was pointed out to them
"something is definitely up with Hannah and Lilly seems oblivious to it" says Cat
"did you notice something with your gift" asks Theodore
"yes, since having my girls my gift seems to be enhanced, I can see heat things, Hannah lied three times when it came to information about things" says Cat
"do you think she knows she was lying" asks Jade
"yes she knows, Miley's preferred lover isn't Lilly, it's Oliver or Jackson's girlfriend Siena, Miley doesn't like Lilly's almost obsessive love for Hannah" says Cat
"you could tell all that just by how she answered" asks Theodore
"no I know because when Oliver was brought up Hannah's eye color changed, we weren't talking to Hannah from that point forward, we were talking to Miley, the transition was seamless, also she knows that Miley regularly fronts, but it's so forceful and quick Lilly doesn't notice" says Cat
"what did Hannah/Miley look like, I've always wondered if it was possible for people with gifts like yours to see every personality in a DID system" asks Theodore
"there's a third, she's not human and attempts to chill Miley out, it looked like Miley covered Hannah's eyes and got absorbed, pulling Hannah out, it was a weird thing to see, also it would seem that Hannah and Miley are literally sisters, like as if one got absorbed into the other either before birth during development or after birth, like one was stillborn or something or couldn't survive longer than a few days" says Cat
"you know that actually tracks, one day during chemo she told doctor Francis that she remembers dying a few days after being born, we tracked the switching by how Hannah and Miley speak, Miley when acting as herself has a more submissive Tennessee speech pattern, Hannah has a more dominant LA type speech pattern" says Theodore as Trixie wakes up
"time to change my girls" says Cat as everyone gives her space
