CH. 4 THE SHADOWS PART 1
Suspicion
Tuesday 8 September, Lunchtime/Sunny Day
"Another world you say?" Gloria asked you as she drinks her lemonade.
"Yes... I tried to think about anything that can explain that place, but...", you explained to both Gloria and Hop, as you resumed the discussion about the events that happened yesterday.
"Hard to say, but I'm a hundred percent sure that it wasn't a dream or just my imagination," said Hop.
"Afterall, we had all the same experience, and it is impossible that we had the same thing going on for every one of us, right? "
"Wow, thank you so much for your not-so-obvious reflections, Captain Obvious.", Gloria commented sarcastically on Hop's affirmations.
"You little-" you manage to interrupt almost exasperatedly Hop before he could respond properly to the girl's provocations.
"I thought about the possibility of having a dream or maybe a collective hallucination caused by some gas in the park or something, but..." you take a moment of pause before you continued,
"That sky, the pillar of light, those shadowy creatures and that... Pokesoul, it was all too real to be just a dream or even a hallucination. ", silence falls between you as you were absorbed in your speculations about the nature of that place.
"It can't be our imagination... that place is real, that's for sure." Hop timidly concluded while you and Gloria were silent.
"Hey guys, let's forget that place for now..." said Gloria.
"It will be best for us to not return in that place at all anyway, right ?! So brainstorming about it will not bring us anywhere.", added the girl.
"I supposed..." Hop said.
"Afterall we have more important things to think about anyway."
"Huh?" both you and Hop looked at each other, both of you were perplexed about what Gloria was talking about.
"Eugh, you guys are hopeless, did you forget the promise you made yesterday?"
"What promise?" you ask as your confusion grew.
"That we will go to Central Wyndon.", the girl answered you happily.
"We are high school students after all right? We should do things that high schoolers do, let's forget about this 'other place' discussion for now, a concentrate on having fun." Gloria said cheerfully.
Transported by the girl's attitude, both you and Hop decide not to think about yesterday's events for now.
And you agree to go to Central Wyndon at the end of class.
Afterschool/Sunny Day
You and the others were about to leave school when all of a sudden.
"Hey, Hop! Wait!"
"Huh?" you and the others turn to see who was calling your friend.
Tension
A handful of boys and girls approach you violently, and it seems that their interest is in Hop, as they push both you and Gloria away, to get as close as possible to him.
"Ouch, what the hel-" Gloria shouted, only to be interrupted.
"Is that true? Are you really related to the great soccer player, Leon Mercury?!" one of the girls asked.
"I heard that he is your older brother, is that true ?!" asked a boy with glasses insistently.
"Huh? Hop's brother?", after getting off the ground, you help Gloria to get up, while Hop is being overwhelmed by the other students, who fill him with questions.
You notice Hop's serene expression darken as he was trying to calm down your schoolmates.
"Er, guys c-calm down please..." Hop said shyly with a forced smile.
You notice that Gloria too is now looking at Hop with a worried look, "Hop..."
"What! Soccer champion's Leon little brother attends this school!"
"Seriously?! Hey, man, can you please get me the autograph of your brother for me?!"
"Oh my Gosh, that's so awesome! How does it feel to be the brother of one of the most acclaimed soccer players of the world?"
"I-i d-don't..." Hop's forced smile fades eventually away from his face.
What used to be a group of small students has now become a huge crowd, the news about Hop being the younger brother of the footballer Leon had caught the attention of the students who stood around the school entrance.
"Leon Mercury, I thought that might have to be just a coincidence, but it seems that I was wrong ...", you thought while watching Hop.
"I knew that you looked familiar, way too familiar." said a black-haired girl near him.
"Yes, you even ha- Hey!" another girl with brown hair who was near Hop, is interrupted by Gloria, who was shoving her way in the crowd to get close to her friend.
"Out of my way!" Gloria yelled to the rest of the students.
"Gloria!? What the heck are you doing." the brown-haired girl was apparently one of Gloria's friends.
"Hop already made plans with us, and you guys are wasting our time." the girl shouted annoyed to them.
"Therefore, if you what to excuse us, we are in a hurry!" Gloria grabbed Hop's hand, and she shoves once again her way out of the crowd.
"Hey wait!"
"Tch, how rude."
"Seriously, who does she think she is."
"Is she his girlfriend? They always hang around together."
While Gloria and Hop gathered to you, you hear the complaints of the students, many looks at you and Gloria badly.
"Come on, let's go." Gloria said, ignoring their stares, and she sets off, followed by Hop and you.
You notice that other students had remained on the sidelines to observe what was happening, and among them, you see the silver-haired boy, as soon as he notices your gaze, however, he moves away from the courtyard to enter the school building.
A few minutes later.
After leaving the school grounds, you are now heading to Central Wyndon by Skybus, but the mood wasn't one of the best.
During the whole trip, none of you said a word.
Although you had some questions you wanted to ask Hop, seeing Hop and Gloria's despondent face, you preferred to say nothing.
When the Moon's Reaching Out Stars
Upon finally arriving at Central Wyndon, Gloria is the first to break the silence in the throes of enthusiasms.
"Come on guys, let's hurry!" the girl said as she hurried down the stairs of the station, avoiding collision with the people.
"Gloria, wait." your words, however, do not reach the girl, who has already disappeared among the great crowd of people.
"*Sigh*... Hey Hop, let's hurry up and go after her before she gets lost again." you turn to Hop.
"Uhm?! Oh, yeah sure." Hop tries to look happier than he seems, but you can clearly see his discomfort.
You make your way through the people to reach the station exit, the place was huge and full of people; travelers, station staff, and policemen. Gloria was waiting for you outside, she stood still in front of the urban scenery.
"Wow..." you let out in total amazement, upon exiting.
As soon as you leave the station, you are greeted by the vision of a huge square, in front of you stood a large fountain and a huge white building, the square was sown with columns on which stood gold statues of probably historical and mythical figures, one of these statues was in the middle of the fountain.
"Beautiful as always..." Hop said in a low tone, smiling sadly as if he had remembered something.
"I have been here a multitude of times already, but no matter how many times I come here, it is always amaze me to see this square."
You turn around to look at the city again, as expected, the square is full of people of all ages, professions, and nationalities.
Many were near or seated around the fountain, others presumably tourists were taking photos of the place, and others who were obviously working.
As it was normal to imagine, Wyndon was a chaotic city where everyone was always busy.
"I used to see the pictures of this fountain on my textbooks a lot, and I had already been in this place once as a kid, the memories of those days are still vivid in me..." Gloria said in a sly melancholic voice.
"But it still feels as it was the first time I have been here."
"..."
You remain silent as you watch the fountain for a bit longer.
After a while, Gloria had her enthusiasm returned, so you have decided to resume your visit, Hop seems to be still down in the dumps, but despite everything, he follows you and Gloria wherever she goes.
After going to the commercial district and accompanying Gloria to some clothing stores, you and Hop are now standing near the window of an electronics store, Gloria has meanwhile gone off to buy crêpes for everyone, and she asked us to wait there.
Days of Sisters
Behind the window were some televisions, watching one of the TVs, you recognize the person shown, he had hair color, skin color, and eyes color similar to Hop's, with the exception that he was taller and more muscular than him, and that his hair was longer.
It was Hop's older brother Leon Mercury, the soccer champion everyone has been talking about lately.
You notice that Hop was looking at his brother on the TV to, his face was a mix of sadness and anger.
"Leon Mercury has recently led its team, Wyndon F.C, to yet another amazing victory against Motostoke United, the captain of the Galarian national team and world champions, proved his skills once more by closing the game with his hat-tricks." said the female TV announcer.
Hop's facial expression was now one of resignation as he looked away from the TV.
"On my way here, I saw his face on the cover of newspaper, magazine, poster, and book at least a dozen times."
"..."
"What happened?" you ask a little hesitantly.
"..." no response from Hop.
"Sorry neverm-"
"When Gloria went missing that other day, I didn't notice it because I was thinking about my brother." confesses Hop.
"I will normally notice a friend missing, after all, what kind of friend wouldn't? Right?" Hop laughed awkwardly.
"The problem is that when I start thinking about my brother and the curse that he bestowed upon me, I..."
"Curse?" you think surprised.
Silence falls again between you, which is soon swept away by the return of Gloria, who happily holds three crêpes in her hand, two in her right hand and one in her left.
"Hey, guys! Here.", she says, handing over the two crêpes in a right hand.
"Thank you." you thank her by taking one.
Hop instead declines the girl's offer.
"Thanks, but I don't feel like it right now..."
"Hop..." the girl said demoralized.
"I'm really starting to feel tired, so if you excuse me... I will return to the dorm a little earlier today, sorry..." Hop was just about to leave, but he was stopped by Gloria.
"W-wait we will come to!" then she turned to you, asking you.
"It's that OK for you?" she asked you.
"S-sure."
"Then let's go back." she finally say trying to sound supportive.
You decide to return to the dorm even though it is still early, so your visit to the center is finished.
Wednesday 9 September, Lunchtime/Sunny Day
As always, you're getting ready for school,
While you think about the events that happened yesterday.
After returning to the dormitory, you were separated for the evening;
Hop had retired to his room, claiming he was tired.
Gloria decided to apologize to her friends and the students she had pushed that afternoon, before leaving you have made an appointment for dinner.
Not knowing what to do, you spent the time in your room reading a book that you brought from Unova with you.
At dinner time, Hop did not show up as promised, saddening Gloria even more, Sonia and Milo asked if everything was okay after all in the dorm now there was no talk of anything other than Hop and his relationship with Leon, reassure the two supervisors that everything is fine, and they did need to worry.
Some students had approached to ask about Hop and how he was doing, including Gloria's alleged friends wanted to apologize for their behavior, after she apologized for her behavior, others just wanted to talk to him and asked if we could tell him to get an autograph from Leon for them.
According to Gloria, it was best to leave Hop alone for tonight, and so you did.
During the whole evening, Gloria didn't say anything about Hop and Leon, as much as you wanted to ask her about it, you decide as always not to interfere too much.
When you were about to say good night to Gloria in the elevator, before going back to your room, the girl told you this,
"Is better if you get the whole version of the story from Hop himself ..."
"Huh?" you look at the girl, a little perplexed,
"I know that you what to ask so many questions, but it will be the best if Hop himself tells you about it."
"Hope, you understand."
"Yes, no problem.", you reply smiling.
"Thank you." she smiles back at you, "Then, night."
"Night.", you told her as she entered the elevator.
"Wonder how Hop's doing." you thought as you leave your room to join the others at the cafeteria.
Later
Wicked Plan
After breakfast, you were getting ready to head to school, a little while ago, you met Gloria, she was with her friends, after greeting her you asked if where Hop was, to which she replied,
"In his room, probably."
"Victor!" you are called by Gloria, who is detached from the group of friends to meet you.
"Yes?"
"Can you check on Hop for me, please?"
"What's wrong is he still not feeling good.", you ask worriedly.
"I don't know, this morning when I went to pick him up, he said that he was getting ready to came down..."
"And he didn't." you assumed.
"Exactly, I will normally do it myself but, I already promised Clair that as a means to apologize to each other, we will go to school together."
"Don't worry, I will do it."
"Thank you, then see you later." she waved at you as she heads out with her other friends.
"Hop..."
A few minutes after
Suspicion
In front of Hop's room door, you could hear noises coming from inside the room; you hear the footsteps of Hop, wardrobes, and drawers being opened, objects falling to the floor, and Hop saying in a rather panicked voice.
"It not here either... but where is it then!"
He seems to be in trouble, you knock on the door to make sure he's okay.
*Knock Knock*
"Hop are you ok?"
"Victor!" you hear your name shouted from the other side of the door, Hop seems to approach the door with great haste and opens the door for you.
As soon as he opens and exits his room, you notice the look of panic on his face.
"It's terrible, i-i c-can't find it anywhere!" Hop practically yelled at you.
"What should I do now, that memento really meant a lot to me." Hop seems unable to calm down.
"Dude, calm down!" you try to calm your friend by grabbing him by the shoulders.
"What's your issue?" you ask him once you notice that he is a little composed.
"I- I'm afr-afraid that accidentally lost the memento my grandparents give to me before moving here."
"Don't you recall where you might have lost it?"
"I..." at the sound of those words, Hop's face turns pale,
"I might have lost it back in that place..."
It took you a second to figure out what he meant by that place, and when you did, a shiver went up to your spine.
"Are you sure about that?" you ask him.
"Since we came back from the Wild Area, I had a strange feeling that something was missing..." Hop starts narrating,
"It happened during that time we were attacked by those creatures, I remember it clearly."
"Back then I could do anything because so much was going on, presumably I forget to pick it back in the rush of that moment." Hop came to that conclusion.
"That's really troublesome..." you tell him not knowing what else to say.
"I know this may sound crazy, but please, you have to help me get it back."
"Wh-what ?! You want to go back to that place?!" you ask him astonished.
"Please, you're the only person that can fight those creatures back, I beg you, that memento really means a lot to me."
You think a little before you finally decide to accept his request.
"Fine, I will come."
"Really?! Oh man, thanks! I really do owe you a big one." Hop says gratefully.
"Where is Gloria?" Hop asked you, finally noticing the absence of his friend.
"She went to school already." you let him know,
"She was the one that asked me to come and pick you up."
Hop said nothing for a few seconds, and finally,
"This is perfect," he says closing the door of his room and starts walking towards the elevator together with you.
"Well, what are we waiting for, let's get going already." you notice that he doesn't have his backpack with him, and you understand where he wanted to go already.
"You wanna go know?! B-but what about school?" you ask him.
"Yes, why? If I have to be completely honest, I wasn't planning to go to school at all today," Hop replies sincerely
"Plus if Gloria knows that we are going again to that place, she surely will not allow us to go back there alone."
"Bringing her with us will only put her life in danger."
"Ugh... fine, let's go, then.", you said after giving it a thought.
"Yes." you and Hop get inside the elevator.
While you head to the elevator without noticing it, you two were being watched by someone.
"..."
One hour later at the Wild Area.
You in Wonderland
You and Hop stood in front of the rocky structure, that took you to that place last time, the was no light coming out before you came, but as you approach it, the structure lit up and a column of light came out from it.
"Strange..." you thought,
"It's as if this portal thing knew we wanted to go to the other side."
"..." Hop was standing next to you in silence, his facial expression had changed from determinate to hesitant.
"Having second thought?" you asked him.
"Whaa- me?! Of course not.", he said as he laughed it off awkwardly.
"Then what are you waiting for, come on."
"Judging by how this strange portal activated, this time we might not even have any troubles getting back." you told him.
"R-right let's go and get my memento."
"What does it look like anyway?" you ask, since you have no clue of what this memento actually is.
"Well, it's actually a golden pocket watch, it originally belonged to my grandfather, but he gave it to me the last day before I moved here." Hop smiles genuinely while telling you this anecdote.
"... Hey, thanks again for helping me out, I really do owe you a favor."
After that, both you and Hop get in position,
"Ok, after three we jump, all right?!" you told him.
"One... two... THREE LET'S GO!" both and Hop jump inside the beam of light, disappearing.
Meanwhile, at Twin Kings High.
The first hour is already over, and Sonia approached Gloria to ask her about Victor and Hop,
"Gloria, do you know where Victor and Hop are?"
"I have no idea." the girl answers, she was a little worried about Victor and Hop.
Did Victor manage to get Hop outside his room? Why were they late? And where did they go?
"Ok, make sure to tell them to come to the faculty office, to talk to me if you meet them, alright?"
"Yes, miss."
"Where are they?" Gloria looks outside the window, a bit worried about Victor and Hop.
Locked Doors
Upon opening your eyes, you find yourself in that eerie place, once again.
"Hop, are you alright?" you ask your companion that was right beside you.
"Yeah, I'm fine...", both you and Hop are looking around.
"Look, this is the same place from with we return home last time!" looking behind you, you find out that the portal turned off, not emitting light anymore.
"I guess that we can't go back anymore, for a while." you thought.
"Let's go then, the faster we find my pocket watch, the faster we leave this place.", which that said you follow Hop to the place you fell from last time.
"Don't worry about the directions, although vaguely I do remember a bit off the road we made during our little stay here."
Later in the rocky deserted area.
While you were searching for Hop's pocket watch, some thoughts ran through your mind; thoughts about the nature of this 'place' and his hostile inhabitants, the fact that once back in the real world you couldn't evoke Lucario, you even remember about the dream about the Velvet Room and the bizarre attendants of it, you thought about of you Pokesoul and the mystery that this entity represented, the only thing that you knew for sure was that Lucario was you and you were Lucario, but it still didn't make much sense to you.
"Is not here either..." you heard Hop lamenting.
"But it has to be here somewhere." Hop clenches is fist frustrated.
"Damn it." Hop's facial expressions change from purposeful to yielding yet again.
Calamity
"Hop le-" as you were about comforting him, you perceived a dangerous presence getting closer to the two of you, you look around trying to discover where does it come from, and you notice the same dark creatures from last time coming toward you, the sole difference being that this time they are more than three, you can count at least a six of them.
"YAMASK!" they shout all together while approaching you at a high speed.
"Shit! Is those things again, ru-" Hop yells.
"No, running will not do, we have to confront them." with that said you put yourself in position. "Hop, take cover behind me."
"Rig-right!" Hop replied panicked.
You feel a flow of energy in your right hand, and from nowhere a blue fruit materializes, you unconsciously bite the fruit and throw it midair like last time, and after swallowing it, you shout,
"POKESOUL!"
Prison Labor
Lucario appears behind you, he instantly put himself in front of you, getting ready to fight the upcoming threat.
"Volt!" after shouting these words, you Pokesoul releases some plasma-like energy from his paws that strike one of the foes like a bolt.
After striking one of them down, you turn to take on another one of them, but you are blown away from the attack of two of them
"Ugh-"
"VICTOR!"
"Don't worry, is nothing, Lucario!" your Pokesoul strikes one of the creatures that attacked you, obliterating it with its lightning.
You are once again under attack, but this time you manage to dodge the offenders,
"That was closed..."
Lucario strikes one of the foes before disappearing, "Huh?" you didn't expect him to disappear this soon since there were still some foes to deal with.
"Wh-what's happening? Victor, what happened to that Pokesoul thing?" Hop asked concerned.
"I don't *pant*... know..." in the astonishment of the moment, you don't realize that one of the foes charged against you a black energetic sphere that hits you,
"Argh." you groaned in pain as you lost your balance and fall on the floor.
"VICTOR!" Hop yells, he tries to reach you, but you stop him from coming close any further.
"HOP! DON'T!" you shout him,
"Damn it..." you struggle as you get up, you felt a rush running through your body, you once more feel the flow of energy in your right hand, and from nowhere again the blue fruit materializes, you bite without losing time and throw it midair,
"LUCARIO!" the Pokesoul appears once again beside you, and quickly you order him to attack the foes without losing any more time.
"Apparently there is a limit of time of sort, that Lucario can fight alongside me." you thought as Lucario was taken down one of the remanent foes, the ones that avoided Lucario's lighting landed multiple blows on Lucario, causing him to disappear once again.
"Ag-again..." despite the attack on Lucario, you feel no pain, but you start feeling more tired.
"Victor..."
"*Pant*...*pant*...*pant*..." as you go on your knee, the monsters are ready to attack once again.
"Shit, Victor, are you already out of breath?" Hop tries to get next to you and help you.
"Damn it... *pant*..." you try to summon Lucario but, this time no energy flow through your body, thus no fruit materializes on your right hand.
"Ugh... *pant*... *pant*... Hop... get... *pant*... away, get away from here while you still can."
"What are you talking about, I can't leave you like this!" as Hop's get close to you, the foes throw themselves at you intend on attacking, as you close your eyes fearing the worst, you hear a voice saying a word that you knew really well,
"Pokesoul, Multivolt", a spark of yellow electricity shocks and annihilates the remaining monster, which just four of them surviving the rain of energy falling upon them.
Light The Fire Up in the Night (P3 Sides)
"Wh-what the hell?!" Hop is as confused as you notice somebody approaching you, he didn't seem alien, as you recognized the clothes he wore, it was the uniform of the Twin Kings High, and he had a spear with him, but more importantly, you recognized him also because of his hair, it was the silver-haired boy.
"Y-You?", after reaching you, he looked at you guys with his red-colored eyes, as if he wanted to take a look at your souls, especially at you, to which you replied to his glare by staring at him intensely.
"It seems that you may need my help..." he said tonelessly as he stood in front of you ready to fight those creatures.
"Wh-who are you? Isn't that the uniform of our school? And just now didn't yo-" Hop started storming him with questions.
"Shut up." he silenced Hop, which a cold tone,
"We can talk after I dealt with those Shadows."
"R-Right, wait? Shadows?", said Hop, "Shadows?" you repeat breathless.
"Um? What? That's those creatures' name, wait..." the boy's cool demeanor cracks as his face acquires an overdramatic facial expression.
"You guys fought all this time against Shadows, not even knowing what they were, are you fools or what!"
"D-dude, watch out!" Hop shout to the silver-haired boy that evades the attacking 'Shadow' in time.
"Tch... fine, we will talk it later." he then proceeds with piercing the Shadow with his spear defeating it.
The other Shadows try to attack altogether, again he dodges all their attacks, and he manages to kill another one of them in the process, leaving them to two.
"Wow, he is really strong." Hop says amazed.
"Yeah..." you agreed with Hop.
After avoiding another wave of blows from the Shadows, the boy facing the Shadows extends his hand in a very familiar way,
"Now let's end this, shall we."
You and Hop witnesses a yellow fruit materializing in his hand, the boy bites the said fruit and then toss it in the air in the similar way you do it, he swallows the morsel and yells,
"COME TO ME, TOXTRICITY!" a burst of energy similar to when you summon Lucario, is released from which emerges a reptilian figure.
"A Pokesoul..." you whisper.
"Just like we thought, that guy was just like you Victor." observers Hop.
Indeed, but Toxtricity differs from Lucario above all for its reptilian form, its body was purple and has yellow parts including the belly, it had a large Mohican crest, in which electric yellow is also visible, and finally it possessed peculiar purple protuberances on the stomach.
"Toxtricity, Multivolt." Toxtricity rubs his chest vigorously, producing a strumming sound similar to that of a stringed instrument, upon finishing a series of lightning bolts strikes down all the remaining Shadows finish them off.
After slaying them, he retires his Pokesoul, and looking at you, that in the meantime we're watching him fight, he says,
"Let's talk."
Meanwhile, a bit far away from you, behind one of the big rock in the desert, unbeknownst to you stood a woman with pink hair and a blue velvet waitress dress, she had an open book in her hands, it was Klara.
"Uhm, it seems that my assistance will not be needed this time." she says as she closes the book.
"But, I'm still gonna charge him for this service." she wickedly declares as she steps away.
Mysterious Feelings
A few minutes later after the battle.
"Here, drink this, it should replenish your stamina a bit." the silver-haired boy handed you a bottle of Blutorade, a sport drink that he brought with him presumably from your world.
"Thanks... ehm... your name is?" you take the Blutorade, as you were about to thank him, you realize that he didn't tell you his name.
"Right, we never talked before..." he said, "Anyway, my name is Aion Pendragon."
"Nice to meet you, Aion, and thank you once again."
"No problem, anyway, what are you guys doing in the Darkest Den? And what's the deal with you in particular?" he asks, pointing to you.
"Darkest Den... is that this place's?" you ask him
"Wait, is this place perhaps named after the gothic manor, back in our world? And what this place anyway? Is it really another dimension?" intervenes Hop.
"You guys really don't know?!" Aion covered his face with his hand in a really dramatic way, he continues,
"Still you jumped in this world like utter morons, risking your lives in the process?"
"W-well..." both you and Hop scratches the back of your respective heads in embarrassment, not knowing how to contradict his statement,
"Huh! Actually, there was a reason why we decided to return!" Hop exclaimed out of the blue, "You see, I previously lost my pocket watch around here somewhere, this is why we return to search for it... in vain."
"A pocket watch?" Lancer rummages in his pocket, and he then takes out a golden pocket watch, "You mean this one?" Hop's eyes lighten up upon seeing the watch.
"Yes, thank god you find it! Did you find it here?" he asked as Aion returned him, his pocket watch.
"Yes, since nobody lives here, I thought somebody from the other world like me could have been here, this is why I kept it just in case."
"What is this place, what's your deal? You seem to possess the same power, my friend, Victor has."
"That power is called Pokesoul, and from what I learn thus far is a power that that dwells in the heart of certain people." explains Aion.
"Pokesouls represents our dreams, ambitions, and will, as for where we are; my thoughts are that we are somehow in humanity's "collective unconscious."
"Humanity..." you said.
"Collective Unconscious?" Hop finishes the phrase.
"I might be wrong, after all, I discover this place not so long ago myself, and in the time I have been here investigating, I founded some clues that lead me to that conclusion."
"How did you discovered this place? We fall here 'accidentally' you see." you ask him trying to learn more about him.
"I... have n-no memories about what happens before.", he says with a reluctant voice.
"Whoa, really?" Hop said surprised, and so was you too.
"You suffer from amnesia?" you asked him.
"Not sure, I do remember however that I don't belong to this world."
"Huh?" you and Hop were confused by his word
"What do you mean you 'don't belong'?" you ask perplexed.
"I mean that I'm not human, I'm what you terrestrial call an alien." he suddenly said.
"..."
"..."
A very long minute of silence follows.
"Wait wait wait wait wait..." Hop breaks the silence which a nervous laugh.
"You mean that you are not from this world and that you are actually an alien, you know, the ones that came from the space?" Hop asked him, pointing his finger up in the sky.
"Exactly, apparently, I landed on your planet sometime around a month ago, and I was not alone, somebody that I presu-"
"CUT CUT CUT! HOLD ON A FRICKING MOMENT." Hop interrupted him abruptly
"THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ME TO TAKE, SO YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT YOU AN ALIEN THAT JUST HAPPEN TO HAVE STAYED ON OUR PLANET FOR ALMOST A MONTH NOW AND NO ONE KNEW ABOUT YOU!" you and Aion watch as Hop restlessly try to understand what was going on.
"AND WHY AREN'T YOU SURPRISE BY THESE CLAIMS, VICTOR!" he then suddenly turns to you, visibly shocked.
"Well... I mean we are in an out worldly place right now, and we just kinda survive the attack of some alien-like creatures just a few moments ago by summoning some strange animal-like ghost entities." you replied to him calmly, you were surprised as well, but after everything that has been going on and the Velvet room, you kinda expected something strange to happen again.
"..." Hop turned silent with a dumbfounded expression on his face,
"You actually have a point, BUT still, Aion here is saying that he is an extraterrestrial, this is the first time we actually have the concrete living evidence of life in space isn't that amazing!" Hop disbelief turned into enthusiasm in a second.
After Hop and you have once again calmed down,
Aion took the opportunity to finish his story,
"Anyway, as I was saying, me and some other alien, probably my partner, landed on your planet a month ago, but I lost contact with him together with my memories after visiting this place."
After looking around for a bit, he continued his discourse,
"But before I tell you anything further, we have to get out from this place, the dorm is a far way a better place where to chat."
"Er yeah, you are right, I almost forget where we were.", Hop said almost shaking in fear.
"Then let us go back, first.", he said pointing to the column of light that you notice only now that the portal probably reactivated once again, you guys start heading in that direction with the intention of going back.
Omen
A few minutes later.
Upon arriving at the portal, you immediately notice something off, something no rate, somebody was standing on the way to the portal.
"Is that a Shadow?" Hop asked Aion as we suddenly stop to analyze the figure in front of us.
"I'm not sure, I never saw a Shadow like that before."
As the figure starts walking toward us, we assumed a fighting position, but we also notice that it was human and it was a very familiar one too.
Upon seeing it in its entirety, it was clear who it was, a tall tanned man with long, purple hair, he wears a black striped shirt that has a sword and shield on it. He also wears white soccer shorts, upon discovering who was the mysterious figures, Hop's facial expression changes in a more dreadful one, you were in fact in front of his older brother, the soccer star Leon, or so you thought, you notice something surreal in that man, he had a very large and evil smirk on his face, and he had abnormal golden glowing eyes with a black sclera around them.
"Sup, Hop..." he suddenly says in a chilling tone.
