CH. 17: THE BATTLES ON MOUNT STORM PT.2

Saturday 9 October Afternoon / Clear

AI Heart

BEET POV

"GRANNY'S HAIR, GRANNY'S HAIR, GRANNY'S HAIR, GRANNY'S HAIR!"

As that cursed mantra continued to echo in Beet's mind, the latter's will to continue living was fading away, just as his eyes and his doppelgänger beside him became more and more transparent.

"DO NOT GIVE UP!" Gloria yelled with all the breath she had left, forcing Beet back to his senses.

"What..." Beet whispered, looking behind him at her, although she had received a blow powerful enough to kill her, Gloria nevertheless stood up back again ready to take part in the battle once again.

Gloria could hardly stand up, regardless she approached Beet dragging herself on her body.

"Don't gi-" Gloria couldn't finish the sentence because of the pain.

"Don't... give up, the Beet next to you is right, if you don't do anything to change your situation in the first place, nothing and no one in the world will do it for you." said Gloria.

"I- I can't... I don't want to." Beet was tearing up from the despair and the anger he felt.

"What I've done... is awful, I lashed against her because of a fault she did not commit." Beet began to semi confess his hidden sin.

"It was not her fault at all, still I... still I blamed it all on her, she, the one that stood up together with me will everyone else shunned me."

"All of this... only because I felt weak, alone, and angry, even though I knew she was that kind of person..." Beet continued to vent, while he was watched by the apathetic Shadow Beet and Gloria with her compassionate expression.

"I... I don't want to live anymore... I don't see how I or others can benefit from my existence... if I were to die today, no one would even care..." Beet concluded his monologue on a depressing tone.

"Beet..."

The brief silence that ensued was promptly broken by Shadow Mary's chilling bleats.

"YOU ARE STILL ALIVE!" said the creepy giant Shadow with the face of a child, addressing Gloria.

"FINE, LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN RESIST EVEN THIS ATTACK!"

"ALEXANDRIA THUNDER!" the lightning recalled by the gigantic yellow figure was about to strike down on the two, however, before the bolt could reach the two a sphere of energy interposed between Beet, Gloria, and the lightning, which caused the explosion of the attacked, preventing it from reaching the two.

"TSK, IT SEEMS LIKE YOU GUYS NEVER LEARN!" Shadow Mary exclaimed, somewhat annoyed.

Gloria immediately noticed that the attack was launched by your Lucario, while in the meantime both you and Hop had got up ready to get back into action.

"Hop, Victor... thank goodness you're fine." Gloria said relieved.

You and Hop start running towards Shadow Mary, ready to resume the furious battle.

"COME FORWARD, COME TOWARD THE LIGHTHOUSE OF DEATH, THIS TIME I WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN FOR SURE!" Shadow Mary bellowed furiously at you as she got into position to fight you.

While the battle was resuming, Gloria has finally gotten close to Beet, and she tried to wake the latter from his depressed torpor.

"I know how you feel..." said Gloria with a soft tone of voice.

"..." Beet didn't react.

"I have completely blamed my parents for my whims too, you know?" Gloria confessed to Beet.

"... The Tyr spouses?" that phrases attracted Beet's attention.

"Yes exactly... even though they were suffering in silence like me, nevertheless I... I ended up hurting them as well." the memory of past events pained and saddened Gloria.

"... But despite everything, I had my friends close to me, I managed to get up once again, and I didn't give in to my demons..." said Gloria.

"I... I don't have anyone..." Beet replied bitterly to the girl.

"THAT'S NOT TRUE!" Gloria yells, leaving Beet astonished.

"YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY ALONE, NOBODY IS!"

"First of all, we came all the way here for you, didn't we? There may be disagreements between us, but that's not a reason to let you die."

"Not in such a place as this one, for crying out loud." Gloria reproaches him.

"What about Mr. Pendragon? Don't you have a deep regard for him?" Beet, upon hearing Rose being mentioned, moved again, and his eyes regained vitality again.

"…I"

"What should we tell him once we get back to our world, how do you think he will react to your death? Aren't you his son?!"

"That's... not..." Beet try to dispute Gloria's claims, failing, he lowered his gaze to hide the embarrassment and discomfort that particular thought had caused him.

"I hadn't thought about it..." he then shyly admitted, clenching his fists ashamed.

"And what about that Mary girl? You really don't wanna apologize to her?" Gloria's tone softened.

"..."

"I don't know this Mary, but I'm sure that the monster in front of us doesn't represent her at all."

"Mary... she… she is not like that, on the contrary... she... she is kind, really, really kind..." the voices of Beet's inner soul were making a comeback.

"BEET! Come, let's go play together!" the voice of a little girl echoed in the area.

"Mary..." Beet sadly whispered.

"I know you still have a hard time trusting me Beet, but do not forget this, you are my son now, and whichever path you choose, I'll be there to support you." Rose's voice was now echoing around them too.

"M-Mr. Rose..."

"You remind me so much of when I was a child myself, I hope that sooner or later you find your place in the world, little runt." the choruses of voices were also joined by that of a woman.

"That's... Oleana's voice…"

"Beet, I wanted to tell you that... I- I love you!" said the voice of the first girl.

After that statement, the rumors began to fade.

"..." Beet stood up and remained silent with an ever growing feeling of sadness in his chest.

"You still want to run away? You know it very well, that you cannot." Shadow Beet said emotionless.

"Like a battleship in the rough sea, the only path you can follow is the one illuminated by the lighthouse." Shadow Beet points to Shadow Veronica fighting against you and Hop.

"Let's go to that lighthouse and destroy it together, Beet, don't let that monster replace your real shining light!" Shadow Beet fiercely shouts at Beet.

Beet finally stood up, he dried up the tears on his face, the feeling of sadness was gone from his face, replaced by a facade of determination.

"... Gloria, are you sure of what you told me, will it truly be better after I..." despite all that determination, fear still lurked in Beet's heart.

Gloria simply smiled.

"I'm still here after all, aren't I? And if there is one thing I can assure you on, that would be it... it would get better Beet, trust me..." Gloria encouraged Beet.

"... Alright then." after taking a few deep breaths, he turns to Shadow Beet.

"BLASTOISE! WILL YOU FIGHT BY MY SIDE AGAIN?!" Beet I asked his Jungian Shadow.

"... hmph." in response, Shadow Beet smiled at his alter ego and nodded before returning to him entirely.

"I will gladly keep fighting alongside you, but don't forget that, from now on, ignorance can be nothing but a sin for you." Shadow Beet said severely, while Beet bit the blue fruit that appeared in his hand, accepting the contract silently.

"I'm thou, thou art I, prepare the cannons for the war ahead of you, my cannon shall blast away your enemy like a giant sea wave." Shadow Beet disappeared, only to reappear behind Beet as a giant tortoise from which two steel cannons emerged from its shell.

It was Beet's Pokesoul, it was Blastoise.

"From now on... I won't run away anymore." Beet swore silently.

"Cool... unfortunately, I can't fight anymore... I will leave that yellow monster to you and the others..." Gloria said, clearly exhausted.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it now." Beet said confidently.

"Then I will quickly take a nap..." Gloria collapses unconscious.

"... Thank you..." Beet shyly lets out before heading out to the battlefield to take part in it.

NORMAL POV

I'll Face Myself

As you were fighting against Shadow Mary, you notice Beet approaching you.

"Look who's coming." you told to Hop.

"Beet! We were waiting for you." Hop said to the blond boy.

"Sorry for the wait." Beet said joining you.

"How is Gloria?" you ask him.

"She is fine... she is resting now." Beet pointed to the place where he had left Gloria to rest, remote and protected from the fight that was about to resume between you and Shadow Mary.

"WELL, WELL, IT SEEMS THAT BEET IS ALSO BACK TO PLAY WITH US, THAT MAKES ME VERY, VERY HAPPY!" Shadow Mary said in a tone that was somewhere between the innocent and the unsettling.

"... I have nothing more to say to you, except that you have been fooling around for more than you should have, it's time to disappear." Beet replied coldly to her.

"..." Shadow Mary's everlasting smile faded, leaving the eerie Shadow with a disturbing expression, whose terrifying eyes pierced your very hearts with terror.

"OH... SO THIS IS HOW THINGS ARE THEN..." without losing any second, Shadow Mary stretched her arms towards the sky and quickly summoned a lightning bolt with which she tried to hit you all.

"DISAPPEAR! ALEXANDRIA THUNDER! "

Despite the speed with which the lightning had fallen, you and the others managed to dodge the attack in time.

"ALEXANDRIA THUNDER!" Shadow Mary continued summoning blitz one after the other with the hope of annihilating you.

"Shit, if this keeps up, we won't be able to go on the offensive anymore." you thought, as you kept dodging the lightning, looking for a weak spot to attack the Shadow from.

"BEET!" you yell at the boy who was a few meters from you.

"HOW DO WE INTEND TO BREAK THROUGH HER?!" you ask him.

"What do I know? Aren't you the ones who have experience against these abominations?" Beet said annoyed.

"Yes, you're right but... argh, in short, what I meant was that you are the only one who can significantly damage that Shadow!" you almost yelled at him.

"Look, I and Hop, will lead the way, and once the enemy is vulnerable then you will attack her, GOT IT?!"

"YES!"

"Then, Hop! After me!" you order as you make your way through the lightning bolts that kept falling.

"This Shadow is frighteningly strong, I don't think attacking is the best solution, but that's all we can do for now, until we find a weak spot."

"LUCARIO!" you summon the blue jackal after biting your forbidden fruit.

"SCEPTILE!"

"BLASTOISE" using the winds of Sceptile you were able to close the distance quickly with Shadow Mary and attack her.

"AURA BARRAGE!"

"JUNGLE OVERDRIVE!"

Both you and Hop, decide on the use of physical attack, in order to avoid the dangerous shockwaves of the red spheres.

The attacks fully hit Shadow Mary, but they seem to not be enough to take her down.

"OUTTA MY WAY, YOU ARE NOTHING BUT ANNOYING TICKS TO ME!" after shouting that, Shadow Mary used two of her crimson orbs to dash over you, thus stopping you from delivering your next waves of blows.

Beet on the other hand was able to move quickly and silently behind her and then surprise attack as planned.

"MANAQUA!" Blastoise struck the titanic beast on the back of her neck, causing massive damage, Shadow Mary ended up collapsing to the ground after emitting a bleat of pain.

"Ugh... is it my impression, or was that Manaqua attack more powerful than the previous ones?" you thought, as you tried to get yourself up from the ground.

"... Such an attack should be enough to bring her down..." Beet said, unsure of its own claim.

"Did Beet make it?!" Hop said in a wondered as he witnesses Shadow Mary falling.

":.." the collapsed body of Shadow Mary stayed immobile for a full on minute and didn't move, until...

"..."

Suddenly more bolts began falling from the sky, and they all ended up hitting the "death" body of Shadow Mary, actually, it seemed more like the body of Shadow Mary was the one that attracted all those lightning bolts.

"Wha-" Hop exclaimed astonish.

"Shit..." Beet whispered.

"W-what's going on now ?!" you asked yourself, fearing the answer that you will receive.

The thing that terrified you the most of all, though, was to see that all the orbs of Shadow Mary were also absorbing some of the bolts.

"This isn't good, hey? We-" before Beet could finish the sentence he was interrupted by the something that was approaching very fast, Beet tries to dodge it, but, unfortunately for him, the object was extremely fast, and it ended up taking him down without much effort.

"..." without uttering even a cry of pain, Beet falls to the ground, unconscious and defeated.

"Beet..." you look astonished at the unconscious body of the boy writhing in spasms, you could even see the discharges of electricity running all over his body.

"BEET! BEET! HOLD ON!" Hop panics immediately upon seeing such a scene and promptly summons Sceptile to cure the unconscious Beet.

"What the hell did that Shadow do to him?" Hop asked as he healed up Beet, all the while Shadow Mary was slowly getting up.

The Shadow's expression had completely changed, the eerie smile had given way to an expression of demonic fury to set on the face of the Yellow Shadow.

"The attack was so qui-"

"It was a sphere of light, probably a ball lightning." you give the desired answers to Hop.

"You mean the red spheres?" Hop asked you with a puzzled face.

"Yes, but... see for yourself..." you pointed to Shadow Mary who was now more pissed off and ferocious than before, she had an electric aura around her, and this aura in turn was linked to the spheres of crimson, which they were now seemed to have turned into ball lightnings.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Hop cursed upon seeing the appearance Shadow Mary add now assumed.

The lightning absorbed by Shadow Mary stopped falling.

"..." Shadow Mary watched toward your way, with her piercing expression.

"It seems that she reached the limit of what she can absorb..."

"... eurgh." Beet wakes up and starts coughing.

"Thank goodness you're still with us." Hop let out a sigh of relief.

"It's too early to relax, Hop." you warn the others.

"..." the before talkative Shadow Mary, was now no longer uttering a word of anger or amusement, she just looks at you menacingly.

"... that silence does not mean anything good." you thought, restless.

"HOP GET BEET! WE HAVE TO RETREAT!" you screamed hysterically.

"What are you talking about... we have to atta-" Beet was quickly interrupted by you.

"NOT NOW BEET! IF WE STAY HERE A SECOND LONGER, WE WILL ALL DIE!" Beet

"Urgh." both Hop and Beet are stunned by your reaction.

"HOP TAKE BEET! AND STAY AWA-"

A terrifying sound does not allow you to finish the word.

"D-did you hear that?" you ask, Hop and Beet in fright.

"Hear what?" asked you Hop in turn.

You turn to look toward Shadow Mary's direction, however, you find out that the giant Shadow had mysteriously disappeared.

You look around instantly looking for the Shadow or her silhouette but nothing, there was no sign of her anywhere you looked, you then raise your eyes filled with fear toward the sky, and there was she, towering over you.

"HOOP! BEET!" you try to warn the two, failing, you all were too agitated to even getaway.

"ALEXANDRITE LIGHTNING STORM!"

The electric aura surrounding Shadow Mary assumed a crimson pigmentation and so did all the ball lightning of hers, after taking on this color, they were darted at such a speed that they couldn't even be seen anymore, and they began to destroy everything around, disintegrate away entire boulders and rocks.

Before they could hit you, you all summoned your respective Pokesoul in advance.

However, despite your effort, even your Pokesoul weren't able to defend you, together with the scenery you too ended up being swept away like everything else around.

"Arghhhh!" you let a scream of pain.

...

The attack was so devastating, to the point of radically changing the surrounding landscape.

No one of you was left standing, you all suffered the final blow.

In the meantime, Shadow Mary have descended to earth.

"..." Shadow Mary waits for the dust to vanquish, to contemplate your conclusion.

"..." as soon as the dust left in the area, Shadow Mary scrutinized your bodies on the ground, the battle seems to have finally ended for her, but a bad feeling overtakes the Shadow's mind when she didn't find Beet's body.

"BEET..." panicking, Shadow Mary began checking her surroundings in hopes of trying to prevent a surprising ambush from Beet.

"HOW? HOW DID HE SURV-" the giant Shadow noticed some ice splinters on the battlefield.

"WHAT!"

"CRYO CARRONEDE!" pressurized jets of cold water were shoots from Blastoise's cannons, which were then completely frozen, the frozen water jet impacted the unprepared Shadow Mary, damaging her significantly.

"BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!" Shadow Mary let out a bleat of pain, Beet had hidden in a blanket of dust, from which he then mercilessly attacked the giant Shadow.

"HOW IS IT POSSIBLE, I- I- I-"

"MANAQUA!"

Shadow Mary, not yet completely recovered from the previous attack, must suffer again another devastating attack, this turn from you and your Pokesoul Carvanha.

"HOW IS IT POSSIBLE... YOU W-WERE…?" Shadow Mary roared in pain as she fell to the ground in defeat.

"Damn you Beet..." you cuss at the blond boy.

"You used the abilities of your Pokesoul to create an ice shield with which to defend yourself and mitigate the damage, didn't you..."

"You could have also covered us too, especially Hop..." you scolded him bitterly.

"It just wasn't possible, Blastoise's shell was only enough for one person, and I definitely wasn't using it to save someone else at my expense." Beet arrogantly explained.

"You… I would like to remind you that we all did this to sa-"

"What are you even complaining about, you also used your Pokesoul to minimize damage, right?" Beet said irritated.

"Don't fool me, you know very well there was little I could do with Blitzel." you yelled furiously at the boy.

"Anyway, this doesn't seem like the right time to squabble at all." Beet said while pointing to Shadow Mary who was getting up.

"YOU..."

"Tch, how much are you lacking in psycho-physical energy?" you ask Beet, stressed out.

"I have no idea, but I'm one step away from fainting, so not so much..." he replied panting.

"Then make sure you put all your power into the next attack, both Gloria and Hop are exhausted now, so it's up to us to deliver the final blow to this Shadow."

"We absolutely cannot afford to fail..." you made yourself clear.

"Don't waste your time chatting, then!" Beet exclaimed as he launched himself at Shadow Mary.

"..." at that very moment, the pigmentation of your eyes acquired a golden yellow hue, replacing your normal brown eyes.

Without noticing this change, you rushed toward Shadow Mary to assist Beet.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME ?! FOOLS!" Shadow Mary growled as she regained control of the ball lightning around her.

Using the aforementioned spheres, Shadow Mary throws the spheres at you in an attempt to knock you down, thanks to your defensive techniques you were able to dodge the attacks, Beet through the use of disposable ice shields, which he continually created evaded the ball lightning attacks.

Instead, you do so by hurling other fireballs created by Braixen at the spheres of electricity.

"How the hell? Since when did I become so quick to dodge her hyper-rapid attacks." you wonder, surprised.

"DAMN BULLIES!" Shadow Mary screeches childishly.

Terrified by your advance and frustrated by your ability to dodge her spheres, Shadow Mary summons some lightning to attempt a last ditch attack.

"ALEXANDRIA THUNDER!" a lightning strikes in your vicinity.

You and Beet miraculously managed to dodge and block the lightning from hitting you, even though you were untouched by the lightning bolts they slowed you down a lot.

And that gave Shadow Mary, that lapse of time enough to prepare for a new, more destructive attack.

"ALEXANDRITE LIGHT-"

"Not a chance, VICTYR !" suddenly you unleash a weak, incandescent attack on Shadow Mary, the attack, although weak, succeed in stopping Shadow Mary from finishing the preparation of her most devastating attack.

"NOOOO!" Shadow Mary, blinded by rage, manages at least to hurl all of her ball lightning at you, hitting you.

Being hit from every direction, this time you can't even dodge attacks with your newly learned super speed, you let out a shriek of pain.

"Ugh... This is as far as I can go... I can't move anymore..." you thought as you fell to the ground, exhausted.

"VICTOR!" you heard Beet screaming your name.

"Tsk, it's now or never, Blastoise, GO!" the giant turtle fires a double jet of water at Shadow Mary again.

After dealing with you, Shadow Mary now focuses all of her ball lightning against Beet to finish him as well, she completely overwhelmed him with her ball lightnings.

"Urghhh! MANAQUA!" despite the damage sustained, Beet takes advantage of Shadow Mary's down-guard moment to viciously attack the gigantic Shadow again.

"HOW?! IT'S NOT POSSIBLE HOW YOU DID A-" Shadow Mary wondered of fear after seeing Beet not collapsing.

"..." splices of ice were scattered around the boy, Beet again made use of Blastoise's ability to defend himself from Shadow Mary's attacks, creating a body armor of ice to mitigate any possible direct damage.

"CRYO CARRANEDE!" one of the ice stalactites hit Shadow Mary's chest once again, knocking her down to her feet, the other was destroyed by the lightnings before it could reach her target.

GLORIA POV

In the meantime, away from the battlefield, Gloria regain consciousness, and she was observing the battle unfolding getting to his end.

"Beet... seems tired if his next attack fails..." the girl thought.

For no apparent reason, she ends up biting the red berry to summon Cinderace.

"Cinderace, I know that you have the ability to increase the damage of your attacks, please do the same with Blastoise's next attack, give him enough power to defeat that Shadow." Gloria pleaded with Cinderace.

The white rabbit accepted and began uttering a battle cry that reached the ears of both Beet and Blastoise.

"Gloria... what is she doing... wait..." Beet paused to study Gloria's Pokesoul's behavior.

"Just like Blastoise, she is releasing an invisible force that increases the defensive power, even though in this case it should be attack..." Beet, aware of what he had to do, prepares to give Shadow Mary the coup de grâce.

"Blastoise! This is an all or nothing, CRYO CARRANADE!" Blastoise began to create two logs of ice again which he then promptly blasted at Shadow Mary who counterattacked by throwing her ball lightnings at those solid chunks of ice.

"JIRATETSU!" out of nowhere, you also stood up just to summon your main Pokesoul, Lucario, and throw a couple of radiation spheres toward some of the lightning balls, in the attempt to aid Beet's offensive, you manage to destroy half of them, and the remaining ball lightnings were unable to stop the giant chunks of ice, which ended up hitting Shadow Mary.

"NOOOO! TH- THIS, THIS IS NOT FAIR!" Shadow Mary cried out of frustration as she fell to the ground, defeated and lifeless.

"Finally... I managed to defeat you... monster…" Beet said as a smile formed on his face while witnessing the end of the Shadow he himself created.

"It's over..." Gloria wondered before she collapsed from fatigue.

END OF THE BATTLE

...

NORMAL POV

You struggle to get up, you wanted to witness the defeat of the yellow Shadow, your eyes, without you noticing it all, returned to their original color.

Beet was on his knees exhausted from the battle that had just ended, Shadow Mary's body was dissolving.

"Finally... Hey, Beet, are you alright?" you ask the boy.

"... I'm fine-"

"DAMN YOU ALL!" a rather familiar scream made your blood run cold, from Shadow Mary's gigantic disintegrated body, the "little Shadow Mary" emerged, and the nightmare that seemed over kept ongoing.

"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU ALL! I SWEAR!" the girl yelled at Beet.

"Unbelievable *pant*... eughh ..." you try to extend your arm to summon your Pokesoul futilely, you can barely stand up, not short after you fell exhausted to the ground.

"..." in the meanwhile, despite the initial shock, Beet watched Shadow Mary without acting at first.

I'll Face Myself Piano ver.

"DESPITE THE FRIENDSHIP THAT I SHOWED YOU AND THE LOVE THAT I GAVE YOU, YOU HAVE..." said Shadow Mary said on the verge of tears, that reaction of her left you and Beet speechless.

Sadness, Shadows could apparently feel sadness too, the same Shadow that till now has shown only malice and anger as part of her emotion, was now crying in front of you.

Beet, although he was fatigued, gets up from the ground and slowly approached Shadow Mary.

"YOU WANT TO KEEP FIGHTING ?! COME ON THEN I-"

Without warning, Beet hugs Shadow Mary.

"I'm sorry..." Beet said.

"I... I want to apologize for accusing you, and I'm sorry that until now I forgot about you, about the real you, I'm seriously sorry."

"BEET... YOU... DUMMY... *sniff*" the dark aura that imbued Shadow Mary was slowly fading, leaving instead a more serene aura.

"Thanks, Beet, thank you for remembering me!" Shadow Mary, turned to Real Mary, cried and hugged Beet in return.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Beet kept repeating in tears, and as he vented into Real Mary's arms, the latter began to dissolve into light.

Left with nothing to hug or ask to ask forgiveness to, Beet simply collapsed from exhaustion.

Having witnessed Real Mary's final seconds, breathed a sigh of relief, and finally rested, the battle on Mount Storm was finally over.

AION POV

As the battle on the peak drew to a close, another battle was ending just below the peak of Mount Storm.

Aion was still on the ground, exhausted and wounded from his previous battle with Doublade, but the battle between him and Doublade had attracted more Shadows.

These Shadows attempted to kill the weakened Aion but they were stopped by a pink-haired woman, Klara, Mustard's assistant in the Velvet Room.

"And with these, we should have finished..." said the mysterious waitress, closing the huge book that she always carried with her.

She had defeated the last horde of Shadows that had approached the area.

"... You still sleeping Aion?!" the woman addressed the alien in a disapproving tone.

"... No, master..." Aion replied with difficulty.

"For heaven's sake, I taught to be stronger than that, didn't I? Is this really the way you want to repay the time I spent training you." Klara scolded Aion, without any hostility in her voice.

"I'm sorry, master... it won't happen again..." Aion tries to change position by sitting up.

"Hope that you will keep that promise, now let me heal you." with a wave of her hand a sphere of energy formed and it was absorbed by the body of Aion.

"Thanks..." Aion thanked her panting.

"Just to be clear, this is the first and last time I will intervene to save you, you may be my beloved student, but you have to learn to get by on your own, this is what I have always taught you." Klara said.

"I am aware of that..." Aion replied.

"It pleases me that you are aware of it, well now I am sensing the auras of your buddies approaching." Klara said, gazing at the peak.

"... In the end... they succeeded after all, great." a smile formed on Aion's worn face.

"Hmph... I would have defeated the enemy without any effort, and in much less time." Klara boasted brazenly.

"Buuuuut, I have to say that for rookies such as yourselves that wasn't that bad of a performance, keep getting stronger, because the presence in the Darkest Den will become stronger and more dangerous, the closer you get to the truth, keep these words in mind."

"Yes, master!" Aion said.

"Well then, see you soon Aion." after saying that Klara, left Aion behind, the latter healed by his teacher gets up and looks in the direction of the peak and waits for the return of his companions.

"Eugh... Good grief..." Aion lets out completely overwhelmed by the recent events.
