Reality Viewing: Nora's a Mommy
-Chapter 6-
-Cafeteria-
Many students of Beacon were left gobsmacked when they came out of their dorms for breakfast and were greeted to a very peculiar sight. At first glance everything seemed normal enough with teams RWBY and JNPR all seated together at one table like they always were.
However, it didn't take long for anyone to realize that things were far from normal with the eight first years, specifically with Ruby and Nora.
The former was humming softly under her breath as she cradled Naruto in the crook of her arm with a gentle smile, holding up a bottle with her free hand that the infant happily suckled away from. Kushina had entrusted her to watch over the little guy while she worked on other things such as setting up their room and getting more baby supplies. Thankfully Glynda already had basic amenities such as diapers and bottles set aside in her office, for quote 'in case some hormonal teens couldn't keep it in their pants', but the new mother wanted to make sure she was well stocked just in case.
And as for Nora, she had a large metal mixing bowl sitting on her lap that she was slowly pouring water into while simultaneously wolfing down pancakes like crazy. Those who looked closer would find that her bowl contained a thick viscous blue and green goop that soaked up the water.
"So this is what that egg hatched into?" Weiss asked curiously as she leaned in on the orangette's side, curiously reaching out and prodding the goo with a finger. As soon as she made contact, the liquid rippled before congealing together into a small apple sized ball with a pair of solid green eyes and a little yellow tendril on top that gently wrapped around the digit.
"Yep, caused quite the mess too," Nora said, popping the P playfully while setting the empty cup down and petting the little slimeball's top. "You should have seen Jaune's face when it happened, he thought I'd popped the egg from squeezing too hard or something."
"Well what was I supposed to think when it just burst into a pile of goo like that?" Said blonde demanded with a huff as he poured himself a bowl of Pumpkin Pete's only to be ignored.
A soft coo escaped Weiss's lips when the slime bobbled cutely under their touch before its tendril shape-shifted into a rough likeness of her hair. "Did you give her a name yet?"
"According to this it's Suu." Ren chipped in from Nora's other side, holding up a small book in his hands that had 'How to Care for your Suu by Pain' scribbled across the front in cursive.
"I wanted to call her Sleuth…" Nora pouted with a huff as she crossed her arms, making the stoic teen roll his eyes in amusement.
"That's what you named your hamster when you were ten."
"Then Sleuth the Second."
"Goldfish when you were twelve."
"The thir-"
"Gecko, fifteen."
"Dangit."
As the two continued to squabble over names, over on the other side of the table Blake watched the whole thing from over the book she was pretending to read with her usual stoic expression. Those who knew the faunus in disguise well though could see the amusement glimmering in her eyes while she enjoyed her morning porridge.
She wasn't the only one enjoying it either as she held out every third or fourth spoonful to Ruby, which the raven-redhead greatly appreciated given her own hands were currently preoccupied.
"Thanks Blake," The hooded girl murmured gratefully after the ravenette held up a bagel for her as well. "I'm sorry for making you do this but-"
"Your teammate is too busy gushing over the cute goo ball and mine…" Trailing off mid-sentence, Blake and Ruby glanced over at Yang with matching dull looks, who was chatting excitedly on her Scroll-Phone with the biggest grin on her face.
"You should see her, she's gone completely mama mode overnight… like you wouldn't believe… I even try and she gets straight on my case," Yang said between fits of giggles, constantly glancing at her little sister. "She's actually feeding the little guy right now… you wanna see? Okay," Her grin growing, the bodacious teen hit a button on her scroll that caused the device to expand a bit to show the image of a blonde man, otherwise known as Taiyang, before she turned the device towards Ruby. "Say hi to dad Rubes."
Sighing in exasperation, Ruby awkwardly waved towards her father using her elbow as she offered a half-hearted smile. "Hi dad."
[ Hey sweetheart, it's good to see you're doing alright] Taiyang said with a chuckle, amusement practically oozing from every word, especially once he saw the infant in her arms. [ And I'm guessing this is the little fella that Yang has been telling me about for the last twenty minutes.]
"That's him alright," Yang chipped in before Ruby could say anything, sidling up to her sister as she held up the scroll so both of them were in view. She then brought the screen up closer, holding it just over Naruto so their father could get a good look at him. "Say hi to Naruto dad, or maybe you should call him grandson if Ruby has anything to-oof!"
"Shut it you, I'm getting tired of all the mom jokes." Ruby grumbled with a light blush on her cheeks as she shoved Yang away with her shoulder, nearly knocking her right out of her seat from the force. As an added bonus the blonde ended up dropping her scroll, cutting the call short when the device clattered to the floor and closed from the impact.
"Waaaaaah!" Unfortunately, the sudden movement also ended up shaking Naruto a bit as well which the little guy did not appreciate at all, something he made the whole room aware of with an ear-piercing cry.
"Sh sh sh, it's okay little guy, it's okay, I've got you," Speaking in a soft soothing tone, Ruby tried to get the baby to calm back down as he and his tails flailed around in her arms. She tried to set the nursing bottle down so she could use both hands but a tail knocked it out of the hooded girl's hand and right into a certain ravenette's face, popping the teat off on impact and dousing her in breast milk. "Oooh… sorry Blake."
Blake merely glared at her team leader and her partner with a deadpan as she wiped the liquid off and flicked it away dramatically before standing up. Grabbing her bowl, the drenched teen stalked away without a word.
"Great job Yang, now you got Blake mad at us." Ruby muttered, shooting Yang a dirty look as she continued to rock Naruto to calm him down.
"Ah relax Rubes, it was just a little accident, I'm sure Blake will forget about it in no time," The bodacious blonde waved it off casually while picking up her scroll. "Besides you know what they say, no use crying over spilled mi-" *Splat*
Once again Yang found herself cut off before she could finish her sentence, only this time it was curtesy of the bowl of porridge that slammed into the back of her head. Silence filled the cafeteria, with even Naruto stopping his crying, as everyone watched the brawler slowly raise her hands to lift the bowl off, revealing the soggy oats and dairy dripping down her golden locks.
"…You were saying?" Ruby asked coyly, unable to help the smirk that formed on her lips as she watched her sister's eyes turn red and a fiery aura start to form around her.
"Oh, it is on." Grabbing Jaune's bowl, the angry blonde jumped from her seat and bolted after Blake before her fellow blonde even had a chance to complain.
"And now we're gonna have to explain to the teachers why those two are gonna be late for class today." Weiss muttered with a sigh while Pyrrha patted her back supportively.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that." A new voice chipped in abruptly, getting the group to all turn to the side to see a pair of lovely brunette girls walking up to their table.
The one who spoke had short hair that was part dyed in a gradient that slowly shifted to a light caramel color and wore a black beret with a pair of aviators resting atop which slid down to cover her brown eyes. Meanwhile her companion had longer hair that reached down to her lower back and a pair of bunny ears atop her noggin that twitched slightly.
"Oh hey Coco, Velvet, good morning." Ruby said happily as the beret wearing girl, Coco, stopped by her side. "Do you guys need something or are you just here to see what the fuss is about?"
"The latter mostly, had a run in with Professor Goodwitch as she was taking some hot redhead lady to the city and she asked us to tell you guys something," Coco admitted while leaning over the scythe-user's shoulder, her smile growing softer as she saw Naruto looking back up at her with a confused burble. Reaching down she playfully ruffled the infant's hair before giggling when he latched onto one of her fingers. "Aw, but who wouldn't want to stop and say hello to this little cutie, am I right Velvet?"
"Yeah…" Velvet mumbled meekly, standing back a few feet from the table as she nervously twiddled her thumbs together.
"Oh come on Velv, say hi," Or at least she was before her partner grabbed her by the collar and pulled her in close, practically shoving her up to the infant in Ruby's arms. An embarrassed squeak escaped her lips at the unexpected proximity and she immediately tried to back away only for Coco's grip to hold her in place like a vice. "It's just a baby, he's not gonna bite you… well actually he might but he doesn't have any teeth yet so it won't hurt."
"You are just the picture of reassurance Coco." The rabbit brunette grumbled under her breath sarcastically, which just made the aviator wearing teen chuckle. However, Velvet's attention was soon stolen away by Naruto when the baby babbled in a curious tone, his tails wagging as he reached up for her with his tiny hands.
"Awwww…" The sight was just so adorable that the second year student couldn't help but gush, cupping one of his cheeks and rubbing a thumb against his whiskered cheek, causing the infant to squeal in joy as he nuzzled against her hand.
"See? Nothing to worry about." Coco said with a giggle while leaning in to pet the boy's other cheek.
'I should have seen this coming.' Unfortunately, since both were so caught up in gushing over the cute infant, neither of them noticed as Ruby was sandwiched between them. The poor girl's face was rapidly turning deep red as their chest's squished against either side of her head.
"Um, not to intrude or anything," Thankfully for the young scythe user, Weiss came to the rescue as she pointedly cleared her throat to get the duo's attention. "But what did Professor Goodwitch want you to tell us?"
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot, she said that you, Ruby, Nora, and Ren are excused from classes for the day since you have to watch over this little precious little guy… and whatever that is," As she spoke Coco finally noticed Suu peering at her from her bowl. "Seriously what the hell-Smack*-ow!"
"No swearing in front of the baby." Ruby said with a dirty look after slapping the back of Coco's head.
"Sorry… what the 'heck' is that thing? A jellyfish?"
"A Slime actually, some guy gave her to us last night as an egg." Ren explained while once again holding up the book he was reading for added emphasis.
"A slime?" She repeated with a raised brow, "Like the living ball of goop in video games?"
"Pretty much."
"Huh… neat, so does it m-"
"Hold the phone a second," Nora cut in before Coco could finish as she jumped to her feet, shoving Suu's bowl into Weiss's hands before grabbing the brunette's collar. "Did you just say we DON'T have to go to class?"
"Yes, yes I did." Coco confirmed with a nod, causing a wide grin to spread across Nora's lips as she cheered.
"Alright! You know what this means?!"
-Ten Minutes Later, Rec Room-
"More episodes!" The orangette exclaimed happily as she flopped onto the couch, a giant bucket of popcorn in one hand and a monster sized fountain soda. Rolling his eyes in amusement, Ren sat down beside his best friend without a word, still reading the instruction book for taking care of Suu while he carried said slime in a small see-through plastic bucket.
"So you guys have been watching some weird show about yourselves but not actually yourselves? That sounds trippy as hell." Coco said to Weiss as the two sat together on a twin seat off to the side, the brunette ignoring the slap she got for swearing from Ruby.
"No kidding, we… uh… we…" Trailing off mid-sentence, Weiss blinked in confusion before her face scrunched up into a grimace. "Ugh, does anyone else suddenly feel like we just missed something?"
"Like what?" A shadow clone of Kushina asked from across the room where she, Ruby, and Velvet were sitting on a couch together. Velvet was holding Naruto now, cradling the multi-tailed faunus in the crook of her arm while she gently held down one of her bunny ears for him to play with, giggling as he gummed on the end.
"I don't know, it just… feels like we skipped over a lot of exposition or something." Wiess mumbled with a frown as she massaged the side of her forehead.
"Eh, you're probably just getting used to how weird this situation has gotten." The new mother waved it off, making the whitette purse her lips thoughtfully before shrugging with a nod.
"…Yeah that's probably it."
"Enough talking! I'm getting this show on the road!" Nora exclaimed as she hit the play button on the remote before anyone could say anything.
-Chapter 6-
-Early Fox gets the Hare-
"Hey, me and Coco haven't seen the other episodes yet," Velvet pointed out in annoyance at seeing the title number. "Shouldn't we start at the beginning first?"
Scoffing, Nora waved away the brunette's question as she tossed some popcorn in her mouth. "No way I wanna see what happens next, you can watch the reruns on your own time."
-Team RWBY's dorm-
Glowing red eyes slowly flickered open as their owner yawned cutely. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, Naruto glanced around with mild confusion as he found himself sandwiched between Noranee-chan and the odd black/red haired girl who smelled of burnt gunpowder and cookies.
' Do I really smell like that?' Ruby wondered while sniffing herself curiously.
"Aww… you hear that Renny?" Meanwhile Nora was gushing in joy as she pulled Ren into a hug. "He already thinks of me as his big sister."
He didn't think too deeply about it though, being swiftly distracted by his tummy grumbling at him for food. Crawling out from between the two sleeping teens without disturbing either of them somehow, he reached the edge of the bed and climbed off… only to discover a second to late that the floor was much farther than he expected.
"EEK!" Releasing a short yelp, he fell straight onto the bottom bed thanks to Nora's added weight having caused the bed to slant a bit during the night.
"Oof!" Unfortunately for Weiss, she just happened to be laying on the exact section of bed that Naruto landed on and ended up being his impromptu landing pad. Stunned from the sudden rude awakening and having the wind knocked out of her, she was unable to make a sound as her blurry vision cleared up to see the faunus boy from last night climb off of her with a quiet apology.
All of the occupants in the room winced sympathetically, none more so than the heiress herself as she rubbed her stomach from the phantom pain. ' Why is it always me?'
"Maybe we should fix up the beds when we get back so that doesn't happen." Ruby mumbled with Weiss nodding in agreement.
Naruto, having assumed that Weiss hadn't woken up due to her not yelling or anything, finally stepped onto the floor while holding his growling stomach and started looking around the room. Yang and Blake were sharing the black-haired girls bed, with almost half of Yang's body currently drooping off the side as she snored away without a care. Ren was on the bed beneath them, and Jaune was splayed out on the floor beside it.
Having recovered from her surprise wakeup call, Weiss had to admit that Naruto looked absolutely adorable. He was wearing a pink t-shirt that was slightly baggy and reached down to an inch or so below his knees, and a pair of black boxers backwards with his tails popping out the fly.
"So that's what the little guy will look like when he get's bigger, huh?" Looking over the older multi-tailed child with a critical eye, Coco rubbed her chin thoughtfully before nodding in approval and holding up seven fingers. "Still pretty cute, I'd give him a seven out of ten."
"Why only a seven?" C. Kushina asked with a quirked brow while giving the brunette a faux dirty look. "Are you saying my boy ain't good enough for you miss high and mighty?"
Giggling, Coco decided to play along and she held up her hands in mock surrender. "Sorry but I had to dock a few points for scruffiness and style, those baggy clothes look alright but he definitely needs his own threads."
"Heh, true, that reminds me, I should make sure the real me picks up some baby clothes." As she spoke the redhead made a cross sign with her hands, causing another redhead to appear in a puff of smoke.
"You should try my cousin Donut's place, he does great work for faunus clothes, just ask Velvet," Coco said while jabbign thumb at the bunny girl, who just nodded in agreement. "His shop's just on the east side at the end of fourth and Bask street."
The second redhead gave the beret wearing girl a thumbs up before dispelling into smoke.
"By Oum I wish I could do that." Weiss muttered enviously, Kushina having explained to her and the others about how her clones would transfer memories to the original after dispelling. She could already imagine all the studying and practice she could get done with such an ability at her fingertips.
"Me too…" Nora mumbled, a dribble of drool oozing from her lips as she imagined all the pancakes she could make/eat if she could copy herself.
Said tails were lazily waving around behind him, with one even gently brushing against Weiss's current bedmate Pyrrha's cheek, making her giggle slightly in her sleep before rolling over.
When Naruto turned around to find the source of the noise, Weiss reacted instinctually and started feigning sleep without knowing why. Glancing over the 'sleeping' pair and not noticing anything strange, Naruto focused back on his hunger and again looked around the room, this time trying to find food.
As he looked around, Weiss's eyes widened in surprise as his eyes started glowing slightly brighter and his pupils narrowed down to slits. 'That… that's not possible, faunus only have one animal trait.' She thought in shock, trying to come up with a logical reason for this impossibility. 'Must be because he's from the veil, it has to be.'
"Well he already has nine tails, would it really be that surprising if he had other traits Wiess?" Ruby asked her partner while fiddling with one of said tails, giggling as the little length of fluff curled around her fingers.
"Well…"
"I don't think it's a natural trait," Velvet stated before the heiress could speak, getting the group's attention as she gently tapped the side of the infant's head next to his eye. "His pupils are completely round normally, if it was a natural trait they would have been more oblong when not constricted. It's more likely something to do with his semblance."
"What she said." Weiss quickly agreed with a nod.
While Weiss was busy trying to explain the supposed impossible, Naruto was focused on the closet door closest to Weiss and Ruby's beds. To him, everyone in the room now had a slight colored glow around them and he could see several other similar glows through the walls all around him, but was more focused on the cluster of solid glowing dots he could see coming from the closet.
[Aura Vision: This ability allows Naruto to see the auras of others and dust even through solid walls, subconsciously activates when he is feeling hungry]
' So it's kinda like the Byakugan but not as precise and without the three sixty vision.' C Kushina thought as she glanced at her son in Velvet's arms, a giggle slipping from her lips when she saw that he was starting to doze while sucking on the bunny faunus's ear like a pacifier.
"Whoa… that is sooo cool!" Ruby's eyes were practically sparkling as the screen changed to Naruto's perspective. From his point of view they could see people all over whether they were sleeping in their dorms or walking about the school, creating an aurora of colors that was almost hypnotizing to watch.
However, both Coco and Velvet looked more confused than anything as they turned to the rest of the group. "Wait, I thought you guys said his semblance was Adaptation. How-"
"He has more than one, we don't know how or why yet but somehow he does." Ren stated, cutting Coco off mid question as he gave Suu some more water.
"Seriously?" The bereted brunette asked in disbelief before shaking her head with an exasperated sigh when the others all nodded. "Man, and just when I thought this couldn't get any more wacked out."
"Agreed." Velvet muttered as she rubbed the side of her head to try to stave off a pending headache.
Walking over to it, he pulled the door open to reveal seven identical white/blue outfits, seven identical female beacon uniforms neatly hung up and ready to go, and six also identical nightgowns. A few empty haphazardly stacked boxes and suitcases were sitting underneath them, a several foot tall messy pile of mostly red and black clothing had been sloppily stuffed into one corner, and several shiny silver cases with snowflake symbols on them that the glowing dots originated from sat in the other.
Seeing the heap of dirty clothes in her other self's closet, a shiver ran down Weiss's back before she gave her partner an annoyed look. "You need to do your laundry more often."
"Oh don't be such a snooty patootie Weiss," Ruby grumbled, crossing her arms with a cute huff. "It's not that bad."
"It's unsanitary."
"They're just clothes."
"Dirty clothes."
"Semantics."
Grabbing the case closest to him, Naruto tried to pry it open, his eyes turning back to normal as he's doing so. Weiss, who had finally gotten over her little mental debate about said eyes, was silently watching by the doorway with an intrigued expression. 'How did he know exactly where I was keeping my dust? He couldn't have seen it last night as he was asleep the entire time, so how?' It couldn't have been him simply being curious cause he had went straight for it without paying any attention to anything else.
She was torn from her thoughts by a light squealing noise as Naruto managed to rend the lock open and immediately snatched up the first bit of dust he could reach, a bottle of ice dust. 'Really need to remember to get better locks for those.' The white themed girl thought with a deadpan. Seriously, first Ruby manages to break one just by knocking it over when they first met, but now a kid just tore one apart with his bare hands. The designers and builders of these ones were so gonna be fired when she was through with them.
"Fired and blacklisted." Weiss said vehemently with a deep frown marring her lip.
The harshness of her tone made her partner look at her with a raised brow. "Uh, isn't that a little extreme Weiss?"
"Would you trust someone who built a safety container for extremely hazardous materials that even a child could break into easily?" The whitette asked back blandly, getting the hooded girl to pause before reluctantly nodding in agreement.
"…Fair point."
Yanking the cork out with his teeth, the unusual faunus spat it out before latching his mouth around the top of the bottle and tilting his head up. The contents of the bottle quickly vanished down his gullet, completely emptied out after only a few seconds.
As Naruto spat out the empty container and grabbed a full one, Weiss marveled at the sight of one of his tails rapidly growing back to its original eight foot long length, the tip regaining the light blue color from before.
This process repeated itself for several minutes as the boy systematically devoured almost half of her entire dust supply before finally stopping.
"Holy…" Coco muttered in awe as she watched the older Naruto's tails rapidly grow back to their full size. "How can he even stand with those things?"
"That's what I've been wondering." Nora said with a shrug, scratching the side of her head with an unsure frown.
"They probably weigh a lot less than you'd think," Once again Velvet was quick to put her own self-explanatory intimate knowledge on Faunus biology up for everyone. "Fox fur is very light and fluffy, making it a great insulator without weighing you down, if I were to hazard a guess then his tails would only weigh about twenty-five pounds, maybe thirty."
"That's still a lot of weight for an eight-year-old to carry on his butt all the time." Ruby mumbled, rubbing her own ass subconsciously at the idea of hefting around that much weight around all the time.
*BEEEEEELCH!* "…excuse me," Naruto mumbled as he sat amongst the ruined cases and piles of bottles with a content look, all of his tails having regrown to full size. So focused on the boy, Weiss missed as one of the tails drifted over to where she was until it rubbed against her bare arm, causing her to yelp in surprise.
Naruto's head snapped towards her direction in fright, looking around for the source of the noise before he swiftly scrambled towards the nearest hiding spot, that being Ruby's pile of clothes. Weiss was flabbergasted when she saw how he dove into the heap and seemingly vanished into its depths, tails and all.
…
"…Alright miss smarty pants, try and explain that one for us." Nora told Velvet with a bland look as the rabbit girl just stared at the screen in shock.
Shaken off her shock, Weiss opened the door fully and walked inside. Approaching the pile he was hiding in and kneeling down, she mentally noted to scold Ruby for not doing her laundry as her nose scrunched up from the mild smell of sweat. Weiss gingerly grabbed onto the topmost piece of fabric and slowly lifted it up, repressing a shiver as it unveiled those still unnerving and now quivering red eyes that stared at her. They reminded her way too much of a grimm's eyes for her comfort whenever she looked at them.
"They do look a bit spooky in the dark… sorry." Ruby admitted to Kushina sheepishly.
"Oh it's fine, I completely understand Ruby," The clone waved off the apology, pulling the younger redhead into a one-armed hug. "From what I've heard about these Grimm so far is true than it only makes sense you'd feel a bit… adverse to stuff that reminds you of them."
"Hey, it's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you," She said in a soothing slightly musical tone, thank you natural singing voice, that visible eased the startled child's nerves as he stopped shaking and slowly poked his head back out. At the sight she was greeted with, an odd mixture between a muffled squeal and a giggle managed to slip past Weiss lips. One of Ruby's training bras was currently situated atop Naruto's head at just the right angle to make it appear like he had a pair of ears.
It took all of her lessons on proper etiquette to withstand the urge to glomp him right then and there into a hug, especially when he tilted his head cutely from confusion.
"D'awwww~ that is just too precious~!" Unlike her other self, Weiss was unable to hold in her love of adorableness, her eyes sparkling as a squeal escaped her lips. Fortunately for the heiress, all the other girls were too busy gushing as well from how cute Naruto looked.
That confusion then turned into mildly tense but cheery.
"Hi white lady," He said with a smile, getting Weiss's own smile to twitch slightly. Seriously? White lady? Taking a deep breath, she let it slide for now, he was just a kid after all.
And then just like that Weiss's little episode ended and the heiress donned a deadpan look.
"Hello Naruto, may I ask what you're doing in here?" She asked feigning ignorance.
"Was hungry, saw candy," He said bluntly, ducking back into cover slightly while pointing to the mess of destroyed crates and empty dust vials.
"I see, well how about we get you some real food then?" He reemerged at these words with a look of interest. "You can't just eat du- er, candy and consider it a proper meal now." Weiss told him while brushing the underwear off of his head, and pulled his squirming form out of the pile of dirty laundry, again marveling how his tails flawlessly emerged from the pile despite the obvious size difference. "Just let me get changed real quick." She told him before closing the door.
After about a minute or so, Weiss exited the closet now wearing her beacon uniform, since it was Thursday and they did have class today anyway.
"Damn, that was fast, and here I thought Ruby was the one with super speed." Coco said jokingly. ducking out of the way when Ruby threw a couch pillow at her for swearing again.
Taping a note to the door and making sure to grab her scroll, Weiss took Naruto's hand and quietly led him out of the room.
"That was a terrible idea," Ren stated in a dull tone while giving the heiress in question an equally bland look. "Do you know how badly Nora is gonna flip when she wakes up and sees Naruto is gone?"
"It will not be a pretty sight." Said orangette chipped in cheerfully, not an ounce of shame as she popped a few bits of popcorn in her mouth then held out a piece for Suu. The infant slime curiously poked the buttery puffed kernel curiously with her tendril before scooping it up and letting it sink into her body.
"In my defense, that me has only known you for like a week at this point, so don't blame me for not knowing that you're completely insane half the time." Weiss pointed out with a huff as she crossed her arms.
"Ha! You should have had it figured out by the first day."
Having figured that there was no way they could simply hide the fact that Naruto was on campus (especially with Nora of all people being his now official caretaker), Weiss didn't bother trying to be discreet as she was headed towards the main cafeteria with Naruto in tow. Not that it really mattered as it was only six o'clock in the morning and first classes weren't till nine so only a small amount of other students were even up and about at this time. Those that were though, froze in shock at the sight of the SCHNEE HEIRESS walking around with an unknown FAUNUS CHILD!
' Déjà vu…' Both Ruby and Wiess unknowingly thought in sync, their minds flashing back to breakfast where pretty much the exact same thing had happened.
'Either father is going to be really pissed at this, or somehow use it to make himself look better.' Weiss thought in irritation as more than one random student managed to recover from their shock fast enough to pull out their scrolls to either film or photograph the two of them and started gossiping to their friends about it. More so when Naruto started to hide behind her when one student got a little too close for his comfort.
It got a bit better when they reached their destination, as there was only two other people there eating at the moment. A pair of teen girls that were sitting together, wearing the exact same uniform as Weiss, and both had a different shade of brown hair. One was wearing a pair of black aviators that hid her eyes and a dark brown beret that leaned to the side, while the other had two tall brown bunny ears atop her head and dark brown almost black eyes. Both of them were currently staring with dumbstruck expressions and half full mouths as Weiss had Naruto sit down at the closest table to the serving stations, before she walked off to fix herself and Naruto up some plates.
"Oh hot damn, would you look at that Velvet we're on TV now too," Lifting up her sunglasses, Coco whistled lowly in appreciation as she gave her and her partner's counterparts a good look over. "And damn do we look good still, so much for the camera adding ten pounds huh?"
"Yeah…" Was all the brunette bunny girl could say, her jaw dangling loosely in the air until an amused Kushina tapped it back closed for her." I… I know I should have expected this but to actually see myself doing things I haven't done before is just-"
"Yeah, yeah, super weird and confusing and all that jazz," Nora cut her off abruptly, literally leaning over to hold a finger up to Velvet's face in a shushing motion as she spoke. "We've been through this enough times already, moving on."
Giving the energetic teen a sour look, Velvet shoved her hand away before grabbing a paper towel to wipe the butter and salt off her face. "Rude…"
Focused on getting the food, Weiss completely missed as the two girls broke out of their shock and were now whispering to each other while stealing glances between her and Naruto. Said boy had notice the glances and was slowly starting to move under the table, only to freeze as his eyes locked onto the bunny girl's fluffy ears.
Noticing his staring, but not where he was staring, the beret wearing girl nudged her friend with her shoulder and motioned over to the boy. The bunny girl shook her head and murmured something back, only for beret girl to shove her up to her feet and towards the boy's direction.
C Kushina covered her mouth to stifle a giggle from watching the Velvet on TV nervously approaching her son while an oblivious Wiess got their food. All the while the boy's gaze remained locked on the shy teen's rabbit ears, his eyes tracking each nervous twitch perfectly as his tails started to wag behind him. "I have a feeling I know where this is going."
"Me too." Velvet muttered with a sigh as she gently tugged her ear that Naruto was still latched onto, a mix of amusement and acceptance in her voice as she waited for the inevitable.
'Hmm, good amount of milk, plenty of healthy calories, just needs a bit more fruit,' Weiss thought as she added a few grapes and apple sauce to Naruto's tray. While not severely so, Naruto clearly had a decent case of malnutrition and would need plenty of high calorie meals to help him recover. Luckily for him, Weiss had extensive knowledge on the subject of proper diet and nutrition due to being both an heiress and a huntress in training.
"Oh no…" Ruby groaned when Weiss looked at her with a 'I told you so' look on her face. ' Here we go again.'
"You should really listen to me on these things Ruby," The heiress started, making her partner groan and cover her face. "Don't give me that your diet needs to be balanced out, just take out a few sweets and-"
"I already told you, I'm not giving up my cookies."
"EEEEEP! COCO HELP!" The white-haired girl was knocked out of her thoughts by a loud feminine shriek coming from behind her. Weiss whirled around on her heel, ready for any possible trouble, only to stop cold at yet another shocking sight. Seriously, she was going to need a serious heart exam after this was over.
Naruto was currently perched on the shoulders of the bunny girl with a happy face, his tails had wrapped around her entire body below said shoulders effectively immobilizing her, and her head was held firmly in place by his small arms. The girl was panicking as she called for her friend for help to no avail as the now named Coco was too busy laughing her ass off at the girl's current predicament.
Especially when he began nomming on the top of one of her rabbit ears while nuzzling against the top of her head.
"Hehehehe… oh Oum that was just too precious," Coco said between chuckles, clutching her gut with one hand as she doubled over while wiping a tear away with the other. Once she managed to get her laughter under control, the stylish teen got up and going over to where her fellow brunette was seated, squeezing herself in between her and Kushina's clone with all too familiar smirk on her lips. "Seems someone has taken a real liking to you Velv, should we be worried?"
"My baby has a thing for cute little bunnies." Peering over the bereted teen's shoulder with an identical smile, C Kushina playfully wiggled her brows before giggling along with Coco as Velvet's face erupted into a blush. It certainly didn't help that Naruto had woken up from the commotion and started nuzzling against her chest with a happy babbling, finally letting her now drool covered ear go in the process.
"You guys aren't gonna let this go for a while, aren't you?"
