Chapter 2: Slave Market and Death

While the King was sure that Ainz would just obey him and save his Land, Ainz had other plans. Ainz Activated his (Aura of Despair: I). Everyone in the Room started to feel some kind of Fear, but they immediately knew why. "W-W-What did y-you d-do?" asked the King while Ainz slowly walked towards the King and taking his Mask and Glows off. "Did you really thought you could force me to save your World?" said Ainz while looking in the Eyes of the King "That is the dumbest Idea that I ever heard of, I mean to force people to do something for them was never a good Idea. The Mega Corporations did that too and I don't know how long it takes until they kill each other with that strategy.".

"W-What in t-the World a-are you?" said the King again trying to stay strong "I am Death and I'm here to take you Soul." Ainz simply said before he used (Death). And with a -thump- the King was dead.

Everyone in the Room started to freak out and three Heroes were ready to fight this monster, before they got the chance the monster disappeared in a blue light.

"Now that was a little bit of an Overreaction, but to think that I would simply do what they say is really dumb. Know that I don't know how to get out of this World I should focus on finding out. There is another Problem, I don't know where I am right know." thought Ainz and looked around. It was an almost endless grassy landscape. Then he realized where he was "This is the Meadow I saw from the Castle.".

As Ainz wanted to explore the Meadow and the Forest that was next to the Meadow he saw an Icon in the bottom right of his vision and as he saw his Status.

"Strange, why can this block me to exit this World, but can't analyze my Equipment. And it says that I am Level 1. That means I can become stronger. Maybe if I find a way to bring this shield with me to Nazarick I could find a way to duplicate this. Maybe I should use a spell to know what kind of Items this is." Ainz thought and used (All Appraisal Magic Item) on the shield and what he saw made his Jaw drop.

"This Item is and like and World Item or maybe even stronger! Now I know why I can't exit this World, but that means I must find a way to get rid of this shield. I could use (Shooting Star), but I don't know if it will work and even if it works I'm not sure if there is a better method. First I should Level up to look if I am getting stronger and maybe can break the Level limiter of Yggdrasil." thought Ainz and used (Widen Magic; Cry of the Banshee) and every being in a 100 m radius died.

As every being died Ainz heard several -bing- tones and looked at his Status again.

More and more excitement grew in Ainz as he saw this. "After so many Years of trying I finally leveled up." Ainz thought and used the level in is Job class (Eclipse)."Ok, now that I know that I can level up Ishuld fight a little."

After this Monster thing disappeared, everyone in the throne Room calmed down one of the Ministers shouted "Bring a Doctor. The King was harmed by this Monster.". After the Doctor took a look at the king he said "He is dead.". Everyone was stunned and angry until one shouted "It's all because of the Monster named Ainz Ooal Gown!" and everyone agreed. "I hereby declare the Monster named Ainz Ooal Gown outlawed" said a Women like Voice. As the Women said this everyone looked at her. She was the daughter of the King named Malty S. Melromarc. "And I, Malty S. Melromarc, put a bounty on his head. Who brings me his skull gets two hundred gold coins!" Everyone cheered and ran out of the throne room.

"And you, the three Heroes, please go to you rooms. The maid will lead you to your rooms." and with that the three Heroes leave the doctor and the princess alone.

It was night and Ainz sat by a Tree and looked at his Status. "I've leveled three more levels and invested them in Job classes. And I don't really feel like killing anymore." Ainz thought and grabbed some scrolls and gold. After that he placed the Items on the ground and activated the scrolls. A green light appeared and three Hanzo's—a level 80 summon – were standing in front of the Undead mage."You summoned us our master." said one of the Hanzo's. "I want you to search, in the City and the Villages nearby, for an entity that is over level 60." Ainz said "Yes, my Lord." and with that the Hanzo's disappeared.

As Ainz wanted to stand up a Leaf fell on the green Crystal of the Shield and was absorbed and Ainz got a notification [Leaf Shield Unlocked]. "I unlocked a Leaf Shield, maybe this shield isn't so bad.". Ainz looked at the effect, but was disappointed. "Just a little boost for medicine manufacture. But if the Leaf unlocked that than maybe I can unlock more shield versions and maybe some with Yggdrasil Items." Ainz thought and took a Red healing potion out of his Inventory. He placed it on top of the crystal and the potion disappeared. Ainz got another notification [Minor Potion Shield Unlocked]. "A Minor potion shield doesn't sound that bad." As Ainz looked at the effect of the shield he was a little surprised. "That shield is really good. It's giving me a little regenerating effect for my Mana and HP and let's me make Minor Potions from Yggdrasil if I have the ingredients."

Ainz was ready to leave, but then saw some people searching for something or someone."I think they are searching for me, I mean I just killed the King. These People would greatly do as test subjects." Ainz thought and used (Widen Magic; Meteor Fall). A really large Meteor could be seen in the sky that got bigger and bigger. The Group of People stared at the Meteor until it hit the Ground and a massive Shockwave destroyed the Area around the crater caused by the Meteor. "That looked very destructive, but that will show them not to simply follow orders."

All glasses in the City were destroyed and some of the buildings near the crater too. The Earthquake after the Shockwave was very strong, but Ainz simply used (Fly). There was nothing left of the People that were standing there and the People that saw this ran as far as they could until they died from the Shockwave. Some People were far enough and didn't die, but didn't wanted to die by another spell and ran towards the City.

"I should find someone that knows some things about this World to get Information." Ainz thought and used (Perfect Unknowable). He grabbed the (Flight Necklace) out of his Inventory and flew up to the clouds. "This World is as beautiful as the New World, but without Nazarick it is just a normal World to me that isn't that special." Ainz thought and looked at the sky and landscape for several hours until it was night. He then flew down to the City until he was standing in the middle of a road. He grabbed the (Flight Necklace) and put it back in his Inventory.

He looked around, but didn't found anything or anyone that could help him, because the only thing he saw where bugs and drunken People on the Streets until he found a big tent that kinda looked like circus tent he saw on photos. He put his his gloves and Mask back on and deactivated (Perfect Unknowable). He entered the open tent and found several cages containing Monsters. The Monsters were really loud before Ainz entered the tent, but now not a single one of the Monsters made a Noise.

Ainz proceeded to walk until he found someone mumbling something. "Hello, could you tell me where I am." Ainz said and the Noble like Person got surprised and looked who said that. He was shocked of what he saw. It was a King looking man with a Strange Mask and some Gloves. "Hello Sir …." "Ah, how rude of me, my name is Ainz Ooal Gown and you are?" Ainz said and saw how a smile appeared on the man. "My name is Beloukas and I am and Slave trader, you are currently in my tent where I buy and sell slaves."

After Ainz heard that he got very Angry, but was calmed by the green light that appeared. "They are using Heteromorphics as Slaves. That reminds me of the event from the devs were you gain double EXP if you kill an Heteromorphic Player." Ainz thought. "Are you Interested in buying one Sir Ainz?" Beloukas Asked to which Ainz answered "I am, but could you show me some of them first?" "Of course, please follow me Sir Ainz.".

After Beloukas showed Ainz some of them, Ainz asked "You showed me every part of this tent, but not the part over there" "Maybe there are some that are more useful." Ainz thought and Beloukas said "Oh, that are just some Demihuman from Nobles that liked to torture." "I'd like to see them too." Ainz said and Beloukas nodded. They began to walk towards the Demihuman cages and Ainz noticed one that seemed special. "What about this one?" Ainz asked and Beloukas looked which one Ainz meant. "Oh, this one is very sick and will probably die soon. Maybe there is another one you could buy?" "I would like to buy this one." Ainz said.

Ainz looked at her, she was a very young girl with long brown hair and reddish eyes. She had ancestries from a raccoon and a tenuki. She wore a blanket like dress that rarely covered something."What is your name?" Ainz asked in a calm tone. After Ainz asked her three more time he said "I'll make you very powerful if you answer me, but if you don't the I will just leave.". After several seconds Ainz was ready to leave, but then heard "R-Raphtalia" in a very low tone. "Ok, my name is Ainz Ooal Gown, but you can call me Ainz." Ainz said "O-Ok.".

"How much would she cost me?" "For 31 silver coins she will be yours." Beloukas said with a big smile. Ainz gave Beloukas a Yggdrasil coin and asked "Will this be enough?". Beloukas looked at the coin and immediately answered "O-Of course". As Ainz handed Beloukas the Coin, Beloukas opened the Cage and said "Do you want a slave crest?" "A slave crest, maybe he means something like a contract, but I don't really think that this is necessary." Ainz thought and said "No I don't think it is necessary.".

As Raphtalia exited the cage she somehow feared the Overlord, but didn't know why. "Then I will be on my way." Ainz said and opened a (Gate).
