Can you spare a ride to Haven 2? We have to talk.

Just talk over comms or email. Shuttle travel is restricted to serious business.

I'm forwarding this email. It concerns Wei Yu.

We should talk.

From: Silus Hallonius, Capt, THS Korvatos

It reached my attention the Alliance wishes to place a human Alliance representative aboard my vessel, the THS Korvatos. I will not suffer the insult. Humans are not to be trusted.

I refuse the application submitted.

Wei Yu will not board THS Korvatos.

To: Calun Dravis, STG

From: Titus Deltano, Gen.

Unless it's a direct order from the hierarchy, I can't change this.

Meet me behind Building E. I'm tired of people eavesdropping.

Deltano listened to Calun Dravis patiently. A fall breeze whipped through the walkway between Building D and Building E.

"Landed on Earth. I was part of the second group tasked with entering the beam to transport up to the Citadel." Calun spoke rapidly. He paced the small space like a caged animal. "The rest of my team perished in the fight to reach it. Found Vasa R'ila. Never knew who I was. Still doesn't."

He tried to figure out why STG confessed to this now.

"Never lied about anything except my title. Worked for STG before. Joined the Spectres at 20. I'm 35, General. Don't have many years left. Council has recalled me. I need to rebuild a team. Recruited Wei Bohai. Bright future. Big heart. Wei Yu, protective of her brother. Jealous twin who wants her brother to follow her wherever she wants to go."

"You need Wei Yu satisfied so you can recruit Wei Bohai for dangerous assignments." He assessed cautiously.

"Yes." Dravis faced him. "Easier if distracted."

Deltano covered his face and laughed harshly.

"Long shot, I know."

"I don't control the hierarchy, STG."

The salarian stopped pacing.

"The Alliance, if it leans hard enough, can convince the hierarchy. I'll recommend Wei Yu on the grounds of her biotics and impressionable age. She wanted to work with Cabals. They may place her on a vessel that is Cabal-centric. I make no promises." Deltano offered the best recourse.

"Good, good. Wei Bohai needs own identity. Own path."

"STG, I'll do what I can. Nothing more. Any word on our missing leader?" Deltano whispered.

He shook his head. "Council knows nothing."

"Or they know too much and haven't the time to sort it." Deltano concluded. "I'm not calling you Spectre until you're honest with Haven 1, STG."

Dravis nodded. "Preferred that way."

"Why lie?" Deltano asked dumbly.

"Didn't trust the humans. Appearances does not always match truth."

They shared in the mutual agreement. Deltano walked toward the stage and Dravis walked to HQ. "Everhart, Ives, I need Wei Bohai on the comms. If Haven 2 argues, warn them I have full authority to commandeer a shuttle and retrieve the man myself." Dravis snapped orders at the two comm operators.

"Yes, sir." Everhart set Dravis up. "All yours."

"Ives, well?" Dravis asked the transfer from Paris.

The Alliance soldier sat up straighter. "As well to be expected."

"Paris is across your ocean, yes?"

"Yes."

"Why travel so far?" He asked peculiarly.

"Everything that made Paris is gone. The Eiffel Tower. The Louvre. Notre-Dame. Even the bridge, Pont Alexandre III. The Catacombs. It's all gone. Needed to skip across the pond to a somewhere different. They needed people here."

"Needed?" Dravis announced critically. "We don't need the help."

"Yes, you do. The Alliance has the resources-"

Calun Dravis threw up his hand. "The Alliance is trying to control the narrative it is needed right now when what the people need is to make their own decisions. The survivors have a right to as much voice-"

"Sorry." Ives held up his hands in prayer-like manner. "I know there's anti-Alliance sentiment. If you lived on Earth before the Alliance fixed the problems, you'd understand."

"And now there are significantly less people on Earth." Hans argued. "No overcrowding, nations reduced to ghosts of themselves."

"Instead of idolizing survivors who rose to power in the early days due to limited contact, elections should be held. Let the people have a true vote." Ives argued back.

Hans swiveled in his seat. "I think that's a wonderful idea. Power of democracy." He smiled ear to ear at Ives, then the salarian.

"People present on Earth should be on the ballot, not those lost to space." Ives pushed.

"I wouldn't push your limits, Ives." Dravis warned.

The comms spit to life. "Haestrom, This is Calun Dravis."

"How can I assist you today?" A distracted Edwin Haestrom asked. "Primarch Victus is off planet. Garrus Vakarian is on the Citadel."

"Wei Bohai still stationed at Haven 2?"

"On a supply run to Refuge 2."

Dravis nodded to Hans to start taking notes. "I'm officially transferring Wei Bohai to the Citadel to serve on a team I'm leading. No therapist. I need to know if there's any biotic turians who are willing to take Wei Yu under their talons?"

"If they were, they wouldn't admit it to me. Biotics among turians is treated like a disease." Haestrom answered. "I'll initiate the transfer for Wei Bohai. Good luck in your journeys."

"Haestrom, I've heard tale you don't control Haven 2. That true?"

"I'm not talking about this, STG Dravis. You can expect Wei Bohai to be transported to Haven 1 by nightfall." Haestrom ended the communication.

Dravis cupped his hands together and bowed his head.

Hans patted his back. "You feeling okay, STG?"

"Better once I have a clear purpose again." He answered honestly.

"Amen to that." Ives begruged.

Dravis didn't know if Ives hated him or hated the muddling with no clear purpose. Either way, he wanted off Earth.

You are required for the reunification of Spectre Nihlus Kryik's team. Dr. Liara T'Soni, and Garrus Vakarian accepted invitations to rejoin the team.

Normandy SR-2 will be placed under the permanent command of Nihlus Kryik. Human representative Lieutenant Commander Pacrya Colton will represent humanity as part of the team.

If you have objections, I am certain we can discuss and overcome them.

Dr. T'Soni, I understand you have extensive knowledge of the galaxy trade routes. I would like to study them if you do not mind me accessing the information. I believe that whoever stole the SSV Philadelphia followed the routes.

I understand if you wanted me to review that information under your watchful eye.
