A/N: Heres the next chapter. The party turned into a recap, so consider this filler chapter part two lmao if you want. The real truth behind what's going on is revealed while the ending was.. altered because my first thoughts for the scene wouldn't have made sense with the time and age difference needed versus what already exists. Next chapter? Probably more a '98 chapter. I think we need some more forward-moving plot because I feel things have kind of stalled in these last couple chapters. What I get for trying to up the drama factor in an otherwise insane story lmfao. Enjoy!
Chapter Five
Sameera's Story and the Truth
2022, Poling Mansion..
"Wow, this place is huge!" Erika remarked as they walked into the foyer of the party the teens had been talking about earlier at lunch. The ceiling was at least twenty feet up, probably much higher looking at the multi-tiered staircase that tapered off once on each side at the second story but still reached higher to a third. The chandelier lit up on the ceiling bathed the area in a white-yellow glow.
"Yeah, it's actually more impressive than my house, but then again Harley Poling and her family love to be extravagant with their money." Leon said, a distasteful frown on his face.
Rose giggled from next to him. "Hush, Leon. It doesn't matter how you flaunt it, it's how you use it." She winked playfully as Sameera rolled her eyes.
"Why did I agree to come out, again? I'm pregnant, for one and there's alcohol everywhere. Not to mention the pot-"
"You don't give a damn about there being weed at this party, because you just give the excuse it's for your nausea." Rhonda said, finally back in control of her body so Veronica could really relax while Rhonda helped them unwind. "But don't worry. Thanks to the fact Veronica has been wound tighter than a wrung out towel for the last week, I'll be drinking for technically all three of us. Best friend perks, until you give birth to your little demon." She giggled.
Sameera frowned. "But I don't want to smoke, I wanna drink! And seriously, the already elevated levels of hormones in here is going to drive my own levels nuts."
"Well, suck it up, buttercup, because you will be staying with me the whole time. Erika too, if she doesn't want to.. Oh, guess I was late to that one."
Sameera looked to her side where Nick's sister had gone only to find empty space. "Oh no. We can't just lose her. She could get lost in here for hours, days even!"
Rhonda smacked Sameera. "Calm down, Meera. She'll be fine, she's Nick's sister. Nick is tough, now just imagine him as a girl."
Sameera's face reddened but she giggled. "Okay, I guess that is funny. Fine, but I'm going to deny I ever enjoyed myself."
"You do you, boo." Rhonda waved her off as she went to grab a drink, Sameera sighing as she found somewhere to sit.
She started humming whatever song was playing over the speakers all over the mansion for the party, recognizing it as one of the songs the rest of their school only knew because of Nick. She started drumming her fingers lightly on her stomach to the beat, startling when the baby suddenly kicked. "I'm sorry, little one. Hush now, we're fine." She rubbed the spot where she had felt the kick.
Meanwhile, Erica had indeed gotten lost, but thankfully she found the familiar face in a crowd and ask them for a bit of help, laughing it off when they would throw a chuckle in response. Then she spotted that jerk from lunch, Russell. She sighed. "Whatever. Hey, Russell, right?" She called as she approached the group of what she figured were jocks, seeing as how Russell had looked the part during school.
The jock in question turned to her and groaned. "Aw, shit. Here we go again."
Erika mentally smirked. "No need to be afraid of me. Or big brother. I just came to ask a teeny little favor."
Russell looked at her warily. "Like what? I won't have Nick coming after me for his sister's benefit."
The guy standing next to Russell looked at Erika then. "Nick? Sister? Are you talking about Negron?"
Erika rolled her eyes. "Was he really the only Nick in this school?"
"Yeah, actually. So much for his name being one of the most popular the year most of us were born. So, you're his what? Stepsister?"
The girl laughed as Russell shook his head. "Nah, Adrian. Worse. This is Erika Fitch, long lost twin sister to our resident superhero."
The other jocks all laughed, meaning the jab at Nick must have been a running joke among the sports players. "He is a superhero, though, killing someone thought to be unkillable not once but twice. Whether or not you pea-brained muscle heads believe the facts or not is beside the point. And my existence was kept a secret because of that undead asshole, so watch yourselves. Nick isn't the only one who was tougher than he looked." She emphasized her point by cracking her knuckles, making Russell start to panic.
"Hold on, hold on. No need for that, Erika. Now, what did you need?"
"Um. Well.." She suddenly got nervous. "I kinda wandered off from the others and I was wondering if maybe you could just help me navigate this damn maze of a house."
"Yeah, that would be my parents' fault. Sorry," Said one of the few girls in the group, meaning this was the one who organized the party, Harley Poling. "My mom was absolutely obsessed with the Mazercise course at the Pizzaplex, and she had my father remodel the house to reflect it. There are maps hidden on the walls, like behind paintings and shit. My parents are weird."
Erika smiled. "Mine are, too. Well, only because my father is technically stuck living his life in the mid.. sixties, I think? While my mom is the therapist to Leon, Rhonda and Sameera. Oh, and in reality the other personality of Rhonda's? Veronica? That's the last remnants of my aunt's soul which attached to Rhonda at the Pizzaplex last year because at the time she had been a pawn used by William Afton to further his own goals."
Despite having heard some of the explanation before, the retort had the jocks shocked. "What?" Adrian said to Russell, who shrugged.
Harley seemed unfazed by Erika's sudden ranting. "Well, that solidifies you being Nick's sister, alright. No other girl in our school save for Meera and Rhonda would even know specifics like that. Come on, I'll bring you back to your friends. And you all," She said, turning around to the other sportsmen. "Don't let your heads explode from information overload. The processing power is way above what any of you are capable of." She giggled as she brought Erika out of the room.
Adrian turned to Russell. "And you wanted to hit that?" Russell shrugged again in response.
The two girls walked down one hallway, Harley pulling a picture off the wall to indeed reveal a floorplan map of the mansion, at least that floor. There was even a little red dot placed on the map, signifying where the girls currently were. "Now, where did you guys separate?"
Erika thought. "Uh, we had just come in, really. So probably around here." She pointed to an intersection near the entrance hall.
Harley nodded. "Ahh, alright. The others probably went to the living room, then. Sameera and them don't tend to mingle with most of us at these parties. I don't blame them, a lot of us gave them or your brother shit for what happened last year, especially losing Cory."
"Cory was Sameera's ex, right? Before her and Nick finally got together?"
Harley nodded. "That's right. Losing him hit Russell pretty hard, but more because Cory was the captain of the football team then and Russell looked up to him. Then he saw Nick almost stripping Sameera down just inside the doors of the school.."
"That story I've heard, but they weren't about to fuck right then and there. From what I gather, they already had someplace private in school they could go and do that. No, Sameera was just turned on by how Nick handled Russell that morning."
"Well, Sameera was a lot more hormonal since the Pizzaplex itself, let alone after we all found out she was knocked up. Some of the girls hate her for it, or envy it's hard to tell with women sometimes," She laughed. "And then there's the group that hates Nick for just up and disappearing, more for Sameera's benefit you understand. She may have ostracized herself from the popular crowd after the Pizzaplex Incident, but the rest of us still care about her. You've seen it, probably, how pure she really is, even when she's pissed."
Erika laughed. "I wouldn't call her enhanced pregnancy hormones pure, but I do see what you're saying. I hate my brother for having to be away, myself."
"Do you know where he went?"
"I do. But, I am sworn to secrecy by my mother about it. Sameera and the others know because Nick was their friend and even then they can't say anything either. It would be bad if it just got blabbed all over the school."
"What could? Is he in fucking Hollywood or something?"
"I bet he wishes it was Hollywood. No, he's not around, Harley and that's all I'm allowed to say. Maybe he'll tell the story when and if he does come back, because we're not sure he even can."
Harley was confused but nodded. "Alright. I guess I can understand that." They turned off the hallway they were walking down and found the living room, both girls looking at Sameera as she sat down, humming. "Well, there's Sameera at least. The other girls in school can hate her for getting knocked up, or for it being Nick's kid, but we still agree that Sameera is going to be a great mother when that baby comes."
Erika nodded. "I know she will. She wouldn't have been Nick's first choice, end-all girl if he thought something like that would be detrimental to her."
"And now I see the resemblance. You and Nick have a way of using big words like that. Also, you both have the same eyes. They're cute." Harley giggled at Erika's dumbstruck look. "So hey, if you need anything in school, you can come to me. Nick helped me out of a rough spot in freshman year, helping his sister acclimate herself is the least I can do to help him out."
"Thanks, Harley. It means a lot. Being kept secret all my life, it's no wonder I don't have many friends, even when it comes to Nick's group. Veronica for one distrusts me like I was going to kill her in her sleep."
"That Veronica is one tough bitch, that's for sure. She'll come around. I'll be seeing you, Erika."
"Yeah, see you Harley. Thanks again." The two parted ways as Erika sat down next to Sameera.
"Oh, there you are, Rika. Got lost?"
Erika nodded. "Mhm. Had to ask Russell and the rest of the meatheads directions to find any of you guys."
"Oh no, you didn't scare the guy did you?"
"Not that I know, but I like that he's intimidated by me. But, Harley brought me over here."
"Oh, making friends with the other popular girls? She tell you about how other girls are jealous of me for having Nick's baby?"
"She did, actually. Why is that? I was under the impression Nick just flew under the radar for the most part."
"And that's the truth. He did. But, he was always just such a good guy, you know? If he saw anyone in distress, he would ask about it. Some of the other girls would belittle him about how it wasn't any of his business but then they would start coming up to him, apologizing and thanking him in the same breath."
"And that all changed once he had you on his arm."
Sameera sighed. "Yeah. We never paid them any mind, have you. Nick didn't want anyone else but me. Well, Rhonda too, but that situation destroyed itself thanks to Veronica and Afton."
"What do you mean?"
"When Veronica first became part of Rhonda, she broke off things with Nick, and he was constantly fluctuating between emotions last summer because of it. I was his rock and when we both had had enough of the staring because my boyfriend was dead and Nick was moving in on me, we said something about it. He never got over that break-up, not really. But he moved on and now we're expecting." She drummed her fingers on her stomach. "But, then there's the issue about Veronica."
"Because auntie just loves being pissed off at not getting laid, and Rhonda's own misgivings about her and Nick's relationship mixed together to create the bitchy attitude towards the situation."
"Yeah, that does seem to be the case. So you're okay with knowing your brother is quite literally the most sought-after boy in school?"
"I don't really care, but when he comes back I'll defend him if necessary."
"I bet you will. I wonder if the A.I. knows about you?" Sameera said, more to herself as a most definitely tipsy Rhonda sauntered over to the other two girls, settling down right between them.
"Hey, girls! Isn't this party great?" She slurred, giggling all the while.
Erika looked at her in disbelief. "How much have you had to drink, Rhonda?"
Rhonda tried to think but couldn't remember. "I lost count at maybe fifteen? I'm pretty sure the last five or so were Veronica pushing us to our limit."
Erika decided to just nod as she looked at Sameera seriously. "Now, you were saying? What A.I.?"
Drunk Rhonda refused to be ignored. "Nick has some weird artificial intel.. intellogi.. intelligence on his computer in the basement Workshop of his at our house. Or, the first Nick that I guess is your dad, right? Part of Veronica is there as well, but she stays quiet most of the time."
Erika looked at her in disbelief, mostly because Rhonda was a loud drunk, and there were others in the living room with the three girls now looking their way because of her ranting.
The whole situation made Sameera suddenly start laughing hysterically, Erika not knowing what to do as she just sighed. "Um, where's Leon? I think Sameera broke.."
Rose giggled as she appeared next to the other girls. "Nah, I think she'll be just fine. She doesn't like being a part of the drama, but when she's not the focus? Oh she loves seeing others humiliated. I've seen this happen between her and Rhonda for years. Like, suspiciously, two years ago at the Halloween Dance right before Meera and Nick slipped away to make a baby in an empty classroom."
Sameera's laugh suddenly cut off as she looked at Rose seriously. "Janitor's closet. There is a difference. Details are important."
"Yeah, plus Sameera screwed the pouch.. scroud the poncho.. screwed the pooch! Fuck why I do this to myself? Anyway, she gave that baby up when, in the end, she could have just admitted what happened to Cory and work things from there. I personally wanted to see the boys fight. But, she just decided instead to go get an abortion, and that made her so goddamn jealous of the fact Nick picked me that summer. If we all hadn't been getting hunted by rogue animatronics during the Pizzaplex Incident all night, this baby," Rhonda rubbed Sameera's stomach as the baby kicked her hand in response. "Would probably be here by now, or Meera would be about to pop, either way."
Sameera shrugged. "She's right, honestly. That night was.." She sighed, fighting the sudden hormonal shift and the tears that came with it. "It was a rough night." She went wide-eyed as she realized the whole room had become crowded, and everyone was looking at her. "What the hell?!"
Harley, who had somehow taken a seat literally at Sameera's feet, spoke up. "Are you kidding, Sameera? The whole school has wanted to hear your side of things ever since the Pizzaplex. It changed all of you guys, and because you mean a lot to many of us, this is the party now. So, story time!"
"But, I.. This was a private conversation, guys.."
"Come on, please, Meera?" Harley attempted to give the other girl a puppy dog stare, Rhonda joining in due to her level of drunkenness. Sameera sighed, trying to calm her nerves. Fine, they want my side of the emotional turmoil? See how long the party atmosphere lasts, then. "Fine, whatever. Just don't blame me for ruining any of your highs, trips, drunkenness, whatever influence you're under. Despite how things turned out after that summer, the night we were trapped in the Pizzaplex was anything but happy. Not with what we lost.."
"Who we lost, is what she means." Rhonda interjected cheekily as Sameera smacked her in the back of her head. "Ow! Why would you Dinozzo me?!"
"Shut up and let me tell the story if you don't want to get hit, then. Now, as I was trying to say was that it wasn't supposed to end with Cory and the others' deaths. Hell, Yuna, Deana and Tim shouldn't have even been there at all. But, as everyone knows, the night started when we all saw the Instagram post Leon put up about him going to lock himself up in the Pizzaplex. But the real story began before that, while we were all gathered at Leon's house to have a hang out day for the first day of summer vacation.
"Nick had just arrived, nervously checking Rhonda out while he went to sit, at the time not trying to get into any relationship drama. Leon brought up that he wanted to go to the Pizzaplex and see if we could find some super secret server room that would hold the real evidence that Fazbear had been covering up missing children for years, decades even since our parents were teenagers themselves. And about the real reason why my and Nick's childhood friend Anton had gone missing. You all know how that turned out. Anyway, Nick refuted the idea, not wanting anything to do with the Pizzaplex in general, leaving as abruptly as he had arrived. I left right after him, mostly to get away from the situation, because I didn't want to go, either. I trusted Nick's judgment over anyone else's when it came to that godforsaken mall.
"But, I had left too late to catch up to him, but I had wanted to follow him, tell him the secret I had made sure had never gotten out, even if it made him hate me. I would have accepted that, I felt I deserved that kind of attitude from Nick, but I should have also remembered that it was Nick, he wouldn't do anything to hurt me, not on purpose. So I went home, and then Leon posted the pic earlier in the night, like close to ten I think. Almost time for the mall to mainly close, let families finish up or what have you. He snuck in and hid somewhere for the first bit of the night, winding up eventually in Anton- or Glamrock Freddy- and the stomach cake hatch he has. Had, sorry. Nick could only escape with the Head, and he had already suspected that if we wanted to save what was left of Anton, it was all he would need. But, I'm getting way ahead of myself."
"Why were you so keen on telling Nick about the abortion that day?"
"You know, I never figured out why, honestly. It was like my body kept telling me that I had to. Maybe somewhere in my mind I thought telling him the truth, whether Nick hated me after or not, would stop the dread I had felt that morning, most definitely an internal warning about Leon's stupidity. So, once I saw the picture, Cory had called me and asked if he wanted to go see what Nick would say. We agreed and, with Rhonda joining us on the way to Nick's house, we met up and he pointed out there was the killer in the bunny costume, Vanessa as Afton's brainwashed pawn for years by that night. Nick decided that he wasn't losing another friend to the Pizzaplex, we packed up duffel bags full of supplies in case we ran into those situations and went there.
"It didn't take us long to find Leon, who had been exploring on his own since Anton, pretending to still be purely Freddy, was guiding him as we were trying to find him. From there, we worked together to get through anything the mall threw at us, but I'm amazed even us four survived. Tim, Yuna and Deana had entered after us, and had almost instantly gotten into trouble where Monty sliced Tim's head clean off his body. They met up with us as we were leaving Rockstar Row, making our way towards the main atrium of the mall.
"Now, Nick and Rhonda were together that night, as he had asked her out literally before we all left his house. And honestly, yeah I was jealous of her. At the time, though, I didn't know why. It started becoming clear when we entered the Daycare and met the Attendant. We weren't sure about him, the Sun part at least, as he was adamant on keeping us all grouped together in the middle of the Daycare like some kind of prisoners. Nick figured out we needed to distract him, knock over paint cans so the Attendant had something else to focus on other than us.
It worked and we got to the security desk, which was our mission at that point. We were looking for the security offices, collecting the clearance keycard from each one we found as we went through the Pizzaplex. The Daycare was the second one we had gotten, well first the entire group managed to collect. Leon had already found one before we ran into him. When we took the card, the lights turned off and the Attendant just freaked the hell out, flipping himself onto the floor. After a moment, he rose back up as the Moon counterpart, and started trying to hunt us down. The only way out was to turn on five generators located in the giant jungle gyms in the Daycare, and we split up into two groups, one focusing on each of the playing areas.
"By this point, my jealousy had blossomed into some form of worry, and I found Nick and got him alone. We talked about why I was so worried and we kissed. Not a full-on passionate loving kiss, mind you. Well it was a little passionate on my part, but it was more of a way for Nick to calm me down from the panic attack I was having. Yuna found us and we left the Daycare, me and Nick having talked through the others finding the last few generators.
"It took us most of the night to reach the maximum security clearance needed to escape the mall, but we weren't done yet. Me and Nick had found ourselves alone together here and there, usually talking through our feelings like we were actually in therapy for it. And kissing, God I couldn't get enough of him but I knew I couldn't carelessly keep kissing him, I was still with Cory. We all went to Roxy Raceway, and we found a working go-kart to use to fight Roxy. We had found out through emails sent through the company servers that her weakness was, really, just being raced. She hated competition on her racetrack. Initially, we were going to look for a head to use for the assist driver bot, but the one we found was busted, so Cory volunteered to drive the go-kart.." Sameera sniffed, it was evident throughout the room that this was her worst moment during the Pizzaplex Incident. "Nick tried going himself but Cory wouldn't have it. He took the kart on the track and Roxy started running at him. As fast as he could go, Cory became a hero and crushed Roxy entirely, the only part of her Endoskeleton still working was a single claw on one hand, and even that might have just been like a phantom nerve reaction like humans can have. Obviously, her Head is intact too, otherwise Rachel wouldn't be flying around all the time. But, Cory didn't survive the crash he had caused. He tried to unbuckle himself, but the seatbelt was jammed until I ran over and took him out myself.
"That was when he told me he knew I was really in love with Nick, had always been. He even knew about the previous Halloween, and he had never once brought it up to me before then. I felt sick and threw up for a while, while Leon started playing some random fucking arcade cabinet we found in the salon at the Raceway. As it turned out, we wouldn't have had Vanessa survive the night without him doing that. From there, the next keycard was in the West Arcade, and Nick and Leon went alone, Leon knowing another game was located there and he had found some emails about them being odd, especially because none of the three he played were even connected to a power source. Like at all. He beat the game before they entered the security office and had to reset the circuit breakers for the Arcade, which also woke up the DJ-"
"Muuussssiiiicccccc Mmmmaaaaaaaannnnnn!" Came a chorus of voices as Sameera chuckled.
"Yes, yes. Well, Nick eventually flipped the final circuit breaker switch and had to run for his life from the DJ until he rolled himself into the security office where Leon was waiting for him. The DJ went back to his job and the boys got out of there. We thought things would be easy from there, since the only areas we hadn't explored were completely devoid of security bots or any other hostiles. Me, Nick and Rhonda all went to the museum and.. Well, that was where the real struggle began. Nick's special abilities had been I guess forming throughout the night, starting with him having visions about the past of the Pizzaplex and what was really going on. Until that point, that was all it was; visions. While we were in the museum, Rhonda and I both found Bonnie plushest. Rhonda became possessed by Veronica, maliciously, from that point while we all thought I was safe, seeing as how Rhonda had given her plush to Deana, who promptly picked up this metal rod and just jammed it into her skull, killing her instantly.
"I threw my plush away, thinking it would do something similar, but I was already possessed as well, or at least attached to what was lurking inside that stuffed animal. The museum carried the final keycard, though, so now we had level 10 access, the highest possible we figured to get through the doors that otherwise wouldn't open for us for anything. Seeing Deana just murder herself like that.. it almost broke Nick, he walked off alone and I understandably got pissed at Rhonda, who hadn't moved an inch to check on her boyfriend, and that was the last kiss we shared that night, surprisingly.
"So we descended the stairs through the previously locked doors down onto a floor I'm pretty sure wasn't on the schematics. There we found what Leon and Nick had decided they needed to find: the hidden server room. Nick was attacked by some blob of animatronic parts, and it was revealed it was actually Nick's aunt by blood, Elizabeth Afton, who was controlling the Amalgamation. She recognized Nick as family and entrusted him to stop everything dark going on there, and Nick was more than happy to oblige with the request. We downloaded the entirety of the servers onto a hard drive of Nick's after he had used his own antivirus software to kill the Afton Virus that existed throughout the Pizzaplex's systems. I suspect it was actually his powers bolstering the program to reach those ends, but he did it. Then he uploaded the real minds of the Afton victims that made the band back into the animatronics, virus-free and fully in control of themselves. But, we had to collect the still-damaged Heads for Nick to finish what that had started, including several Endoskeletons that also had separate versions of Anton running them. And that left the final battle.
"But, I have to bring up the fact that none of us knew about the possessions as of yet, so Veronica was acting on Rhonda's instincts to help us out while her mission was to hinder us. But, we may have broke the cycle of possession as we split up to make our escape plans. We had multiple ways to exit the Pizzaplex at this point. There was the parking garage in the basement, the prize counter on the third floor which was a fire escape, and even just the front door. But, Nick wasn't leaving without knowing Afton wasn't just going to come back again. Me and Yuna went to go find a car in the garage, which luckily there were several sets of keys just inside the door. Nick and Anton had decided to make their way down to where Afton was keeping his disgustingly mutilated form, the ruins of the previously burned down Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, which had somehow sound up miles under the Pizzaplex mostly intact.
"Rhonda made her way to the prize counter with one of the Anton Endos, the animatronic using it's built-in lighter to start torching the prize counter, the countless amount of flammable materials all over the mall making the entire place raze itself to the ground, slowly at first. Leo, meanwhile, was on his gaming mission and went back to a secret office kept blocked off by Vanessa, and he beat the third and final game he needed to, breaking Afton's hold over the version of Veronica that had been controlling the night guard for years and left the only counterpart of the possessive force inside Rhonda. We all did what we needed to do, but Rhonda and the alt-Anton we're still in danger, as well as Nick and the real Anton. Nick fought Afton in his ruin of a lair, causing the earthquake that helped fully take the Pizzaplex out of existence. At least, what the fire hadn't already done. Rhonda went to the roof where another Vanny was waiting for them, the alt-Anton protecting the imposter and knocking the other Vanny off the roof, hurtling to the ground. I left the van we had commandeered to check on the body and revealed it was Vanessa as the real Vanessa emerged from the front entrance with Leon, both shocked at the sight on the ground. To this day, we still don't know what that double was about. The police never found a body, but supposedly there wasn't a body to ever find, not even a trace of the rabbit costume she had been wearing. Then Nick ran out of the building with just Anton's Head stuffed in his duffel bag as the Pizzaplex was fully destroyed and the nightmare over, at least until school was back in session when the Cult situation began."
"When did you realize you were just as in love with Nick?" Harley asked.
"I don't really know. Somewhere between the Raceway and him almost getting crushed by the falling mall. I don't know what I would have done if he'd died then."
"Wait, what about Yuna? How did she die?" Russell asked.
"She was.. I'm actually surprised you don't know, Russell. Your parents must have watched Nick on trial about it all, he told the story there as well.. But, she died as we were escaping the loading dock. As soon as the doors had opened, a swarm of security bots started rushing us. I ran out, and Yuna wanted to try and hold them back. I told her not to, to just keep running so we could escape, but it was too late. She hesitated a second too long and was grabbed by the bots, who then.." Sameera lurched forward as if to throw up but took a breath and leaned back. "I watched Yuna get ripped to pieces by those robots, and the image still haunts me."
Rhonda had apparently sobered up somewhat as she cleared her throat. "Alright, guys, she told you the story. Now leave us be and enjoy the party. All this dark talk is ruining the party mood." The others nodded, some of the other students coming to Sameera and apologizing for the way they'd been treating her since the Pizzaplex Incident. Now they realized that they had been wrong to think Sameera was just being opportunistic by dating Nick and that Cory wasn't as oblivious to the feelings of those around him, even when they were his own significant other.
Workshop, The Next Day..
Erika looked around at the Workshop, her fingers fizzling with golden light when she looked towards the ball pit. "That's what Nick fell into, isn't it? It's still radiating Remnant, but it's dormant, docile even."
"Is it? You'd be able to tell better than we could." Veronica said, grumpy about even bringing the new girl to such an otherwise sacred space. Nick's space.
"Hush, Ronnie. If anyone might be able to figure out how we can help Nick get back home, it'll be Erika. Like it or not, we need her." Sameera said.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do, though.. Is that the computer he got from grandma and grandpa's house?"
"Yeah, I'm surprised you know about that."
"Well, mom said there was always something dad had hidden in the files. I don't know exactly what."
"Maybe we can help with that." Sameera walked over to the computer and opened the A.I. like program, entering her name like the last time.
-Hey, mama. What brings you back to the computer? Has Veronica regained the truth of her memories of 1998?
-Yes, and we've found out even more than that. But, is there any way your little A.I. here can search the computer for something? Say, like a hidden file? Sameera typed back, awaiting the response from the digital imprint of Nick. Or Veronica, if she decided to put her input into it as well.
-Yeah, of course. But, only when it's open, so give me a moment. The screen cycled through line after line of code until the chat prompt appeared again. Found it. Apparently, I didn't even know about this one. Would you like me to open it?
-Please, Nicky. The aforementioned document opened, and as they began reading it, the girls assembled all gasped.
The Truth of the Afton Murders
William Afton was the original Murderer, but circumstances have since changed that fact. I have since changed that fact. My name is Nick Negron, and if I die without all of this becoming known, then consider it my last will and testament as well as a testimony. I have fought against an otherwise undead William Afton three times myself, once in the structure known as the Pizzaplex, or more specifically the ruins of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place that resided underneath it. The second time occurred later that year, on Christmas Eve. Afton attempted to take total control of my body and mind, but thanks to a very special someone I was able to survive the encounter. The battle caused Afton, in a final fleeting rage, to send me crashing down a pit into an otherwise unsuspicious ball pit. When I woke up, I found I had been transported to the year 1998, twenty four years before I finally forced Afton from this world.
As it turned out, my mother was incapable of having children due to an intense accident. So, I had to find another way to make sure I was born, otherwise who knew what Afton would do with the only one capable of stopping him not existing. Then I found her, or rather, she found me. I fell in love with this girl, one who would later be found to be the very ally that had helped me beat Afton at Christmastime in the future. I protected her until the fateful day we aimed to kill Afton. We succeeded in burning the Pizza Place to the ground, but she didn't make it and her soul, mind or whatever it was became a pawn to Afton and his guise as the digital virus Glitchtrap again, forced to relive the same twenty-four years of suffering and enslavement. It was then I realized I had to find a way to truly protect her, make sure Afton wouldn't get his dirty fucking paws on her once again. So I jumped into the ball pit, allowing my powers to work for what would be the final time, throwing me further into the past, where I am somehow managing to type this up.
Once I was here, I sought out Henry Emily, and told him of all the things I knew, from his daughter's death to what William would scheme up in the coming decades. He told me of two living Afton child, one that even William had no idea existed and one he did, but denied. This would grow into the man known as Dave Miller, the current real identity of the Murderer. I knew the name, for She had worked for him and this it now made sense he would have been her kidnapper. But, he ran under the legend of his father's name, killing in the same ways later on in life. I found this to be a somewhat wrong assumption, however, when Henry told me of something he thought would never surface.
He told me of a rudimentary yet complex computer virus he had created in order to nullify the effects William had on the Fazbear animatronics. Unfortunately, the virus instead melded with the malicious programming and, once it had gotten a taste of the brilliance that was William Afton's mind, it drove his murderous cravings crazy. The virus, having set up shop in the would-be suit that we teenagers now know as Springtrap, or Scraptrap, named itself Malhare. Evolving as William's talents grew, the pair killed, tortured and even enslaved others to Afton and the virus's true goal of immortality. Until Dave wandered into the remnants of the restaurant his father had died in, left to rot in the animatronic suit forever. Malhare saw the boy's connection to his most gracious host and attached to him, creating the new William Afton that killed in 1998 and beyond.
I decided the only way to save things, or at least change them to a much more appealing outcome, I found the mother of both of William's otherwise illegitimate children, Clara. After some lengthy convincing, the baby Veronica- the same girl I had fallen for in the nineties- was handed over to me, where I then brought her to the Fitch's, being adopted as their older daughter and therefore further protected from Miller and Malhare's knowledge. Then, I came to write this up for whoever may chance upon it in this absolute fossil of a computer.
If this is my friends, in the now changed future, then I hope you all haven't been at anyone else's throats over whatever levels of secrecy they've used towards you all. Leon, Rose.. Be good to each other, I can see you two being almost the same level as Sameera and I were before I came to the past. Rhonda, or maybe Veronica kept full control, but either way. Know I still love you both, and I wish I could see you guys again, being stuck here sucks. Although, if I survive long enough you'll all probably see me again anyway, even if you all can't recognize me.
Sameera.. Damn it, babe I'm sorry. I should be there for you. For the child we created, even if I'd have liked to change the events of our first try to welcome a second. I miss you more and more every day, and yes I ept with Veronica. I know you already knew about it so I'm not making it out to be a big deal, but the only difference this time around would be Veronica not being related to me, and therefore fully on the level for it. But, I need you to know.. No matter what happens I'll make sure you exist, even if I don't. The world needs your light a lot more than my powers, Meera. Never let that light go out. Hopefully, you'll see the otherwise improved me soon enough, although I can't be sure that he would just get shot back further like I was.
If Bianca is around, then hi mom. I'm sorry the only me you knew was one who wasn't supposed to be around you, but I'm glad I made sure the Fitches adopted Veronica, because without that I would have a more complicated continued existence. Keep an eye on the others for me, please..
And that was where the document ended, the girls looking at each other, all three with tears threatening to fall. "Stupid Nick." Sameera said, covering her mouth with her hand.
"This is huge. Afton didn't just have an illegitimate son but a daughter too? Veronica?" Erika asked, looking at Rhonda. Despite her knowledge of past events, all of this information was new, to her and the others.
Veronica clenched a fist. "Of course I am. Fuck, why didn't I ever think of it? It makes so much sense." The other two looked at her. "Why else would Afton.. Fuck!"
"Ronnie?"
"It makes sense, don't you guys see? Afton had no trouble using me as his pawn, and no wonder why. I'm his goddamn daughter! And all this time we thought Nick was the missing Afton child all along, since he's technically his own father. And now we know it isn't even really Afton we've been fighting but his other child who took over the demented legacy left to the two of us. Jesus, how complicated does all this have to get before it becomes easy?"
"It might never be easy, Ronnie. But, we're all here for you, no matter what. Your heritage doesn't change things, especially with Nick's little confession to you, too. That declaration of love was for both you and Rhonda, not just her."
"I.. I know. I'm actually happy about that, I just.. I thought I knew myself, but what I knew was just a cover-up."
"And so what? You're still here, with us. That means you never have to feel alone again. And we will get Nick back, knowing the secret to his disappearance, now." Sameera said, frowning as she looked towards the ball pit.
"But what can we do to try and help him?"
"I don't think we can." Sameera held her hand over her heart, fisting the material of her shirt as she sighed. "I think this may be something Nick has to do by himself."
"Fuck that, if this A.I is really Nick, then he should know something." Erika said as she took position at the keyboard, typing her name into the system.
Erika Fitch Negron? Who are you, exactly?
I'm your sister, or the current Nick's at least. Mom didn't just have you this time around.
Sister? As in twin? Oh, this definitely changes things..
Across Town, Meanwhile..
Russell and Adrian were at the park, tossing the pigskin to each other. "So, what's the real deal with that Erika chick?" Adrian asked.
Russell tossed the ball with a bit more force than usual. "What do you mean? It's nothing. She's cute, but I'm not risking Nick's wrath. It's his sister, man. Imagine how protective he could be, judging by how he always was with Sameera."
"So what? I think Erika can handle herself. I mean, she has to be really get along with that group, as loony as they all sound."
"Man, what's with you not believing any of this shit?"
"It's not that I don't believe it, it's just that it all seems like something ripped from a horror movie. Or a mix of like ten horror and sci-fi flicks, really. It's like we all suddenly stepped into a movie or something."
"I can understand how you'd think that, but if none of it was true then no one could explain the Glamrock Heads, first off."
"True, true." Adrian tossed the football back, taking a couple steps backward first. "So, that means you're gonna ask her out, right?"
Russell laughed, his friend could be persistent when he wanted to be. "Maybe. I don't think she'd be all for it after I talked trash about Nick just yesterday."
Adrian just shrugged, laughing it off as the friends continued tossing their football to each other and talked.
