"Admiral Yularen. Belay my previous order and set a course for Coruscant immediately. Inform the rest of the fleet as well."
"Yes General Kenobi. We will be underway in several minutes."
"Wait! You can't do this! You promised me that…"
"I know, Lady Kryze. But the fate of the Republic is at stake. Maul will still be on Mandalore once we have finished…"
"No, Jedi… he won't! My sources tell me he is already planning his departure! If you want to capture him… you come to Mandalore now!"
"The capture of one renegade Sith does not outweigh the safety of the Republic. I am sorry, but we must return to Coruscant."
"Damn you Kenobi! I thought my sister meant something to you! You have the opportunity to capture her murderer, and you are going to ignore it!?"
"I cannot allow my personal feelings for this matter to interfere with my duty as a Jedi. There will be another opportunity to capture…"
"WHAT PART OF 'NO' DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND JEDI!?"
Ahsoka tried to drown out the ongoing argument on the bridge between Master Kenobi and the former Death Watch warrior. Both of them were arguing good points, she could see that.
On the one hand, Coruscant being invaded was a major problem. The very fact that the Separatists had been able to not only breach the inner core worlds with ease, but launch what sounded like a full scale invasion of Coruscant in the process was something that needed to be dealt with. If the Republic lost Coruscant… they'd lose the war.
On the other hand, Maul had been a menace that had caused no end of chaos for both the Jedi and the Republic for some time now. Ahsoka didn't know much about the criminal syndicate he had apparently established, but she knew from prior study in her youth what those sorts of organizations could do if left alone for too long. They would thrive in the chaos of the Clone War, benefiting more than anyone. And when both the Republic and Confederacy were weakened, they would strike.
But, if they could capture Maul… then they could cut off the metaphorical head of the snake before it had a chance to strike, leaving its body flailing around without direction.
However, that would mean sacrificing Coruscant, and Maul would escape if they didn't focus their attention on him, Ahsoka was sure of it.
Whatever problem they aimed to solve, they would cause another one in the long run for themselves.
It was then that Anakin spoke up, holding his hands out to gain the attention of both Obi-Wan and the Mandalorian woman. Ahsoka had to hold back a chuckle at how much like Obi-Wan Anakin looked in that moment.
"Not to state the obvious Obi-Wan, but we do have three Venators at our disposal. We can handle both targets at once, we'd just have to divide our forces."
"Anakin, Coruscant must come first. The Chancellor…"
"Has been kidnapped. I know, I heard Master Yoda." Anakin replied, gesturing to the hologram of the Jedi Grandmaster, who was watching on with a small smirk on his face. "However, like Bo-Katan said, this is a rare opportunity we have to capture one of the biggest war criminals in the galaxy. We need to take it."
"Agree with young Skywalker, I do, Master Kenobi." Yoda's slightly distorted voice hit Ahsoka's montrals next, surprising both her and Anakin, judging by the look on her former Master's face.
"But Master Yoda… surely…"
"Already on route to support Coruscant, many Republic Forces are. Spare the 212th, we can. Rescue the Chancellor, Skywalker can, with young Tano's aid." Yoda continued, gesturing towards Ahsoka in the process. "Meanwhile, travel to Mandalore, you will. Capture Maul, and return him to the Temple. Succeed in both missions that way, we will."
Ahsoka had to agree with Master Yoda. It was the best plan they had. Coruscant was important, and whilst they might very well be another opportunity to capture Maul again one day, why not take the opportunity offered at present.
"He's right Obi-Wan. Snips and I can save Coruscant. You go with Bo-Katan to Mandalore and capture that bastard once and for all." Anakin spoke again, throwing in his support, as well as reassurance, something that Obi-Wan quite clearly needed at that moment in time.
The Jedi Master sighed as he contemplated both Anakin and Yoda's words, his signature in the Force troubled as he glanced over, his eyes meeting hers, as if asking for her opinion.
Ahsoka didn't hesitate to nod her head in approval, a silent 'we've got this Master', something she had done more than once to him in her time as Anakin's Padawan.
With that, Obi-Wan relented.
"Very well. Padawan Dume, the 212th and I will take one of the Venators to Mandalore to support the Nite Owls and capture Maul. Anakin, Ahsoka, I'm counting on you both to save the Chancellor."
"Consider it done Master Kenobi."
"Hey… when have we ever let you down Master?"
Obi-Wan opened his mouth to reply before Anakin spoke again.
"Actually, don't answer that!"
The smirk that appeared on Obi-Wan's face brought a smile to her own.
"Then I bid you both farewell for now. May the Force be with you. Get them safely to Coruscant Admiral."
"Always General Kenobi. Good luck to you."
With that, Obi-Wan gestured for Caleb to follow, who bounded after his temporary Master with excitement. Through the Force she felt him nudge her own signature as a way of saying 'goodbye', something she returned.
"Well then Admiral. Once the 212th has departed, you have permission to get us to Coruscant." Anakin turned his attention to Yularen, entering into his 'General' persona without hesitation.
"Of course General Skywalker."
Normally, the swirling blue vortex of hyperspace would calm Ahsoka down. There was something about watching the way space was distorted that relaxed her. Perhaps it was because she felt safe in hyperspace. It was next to impossible to do anything to a ship moving through hyperspace after all. The ship couldn't be boarded or attacked, and assuming a course through hyperspace had been inputted correctly, there was no chance of them crashing into a moon or anything of the sort.
All in all, trips through hyperspace were often calm and collected. A chance to rest and recover between the chaos of Clone War campaigns.
Now however, Ahsoka felt no peace whatsoever. All she felt was trepidation.
What sort of state would Coruscant be in when they arrived? What about the civilians below? The Senators? The Jedi Temple? Would it all be gone?
And what about the Chancellor? Yoda had said Grievous had kidnapped him? Was he even still alive, or was this entire rescue mission a waste of time?
And what about Obi-Wan and Caleb? They had taken one of the three Venators in Yularen's fleet and headed for Mandalore to capture Maul. Would they be successful, or would Maul…
No… she couldn't think like that! Not now. She needed to focus.
Taking a deep breath, Ahsoka continued to watch the swirling vortex before her.
The bridge of Yularen's flagship was busy as always, with many officers running around, issuing orders, preparing for battle. In the back, she was aware of Yularen and Thrawn, deep in discussion about what their plan would be once they exited hyperspace above Coruscant. Her montrals were able to pick up bits and pieces of their strategy, but nothing that seemed out of the ordinary.
Ahsoka had a horrible feeling that this battle was going to be anything but ordinary. To successfully launch an attack on Coruscant of all places, Grievous' fleet would have to be massive. Perhaps the cyborg monstrosity had brought the entire Separatist fleet with him? It would be a massive risk on his part, but if it paid off…
Ahsoka shuddered to think of the consequences of a Separatist victory at Coruscant. If they lost the Republic capital, then that would be the beginning of the end for everyone.
The familiar presence of Anakin touched her mind suddenly, concern seeping through the Force. Despite no longer being his Padawan, the two still hadn't made any attempts to sever the training bond that existed between them. Her shields had improved of course, but that didn't mean she was purposely trying to keep him out, not anymore.
Delving into the Force, Ahsoka sent a wave of reassurance Anakin's way, hoping it would convince him into thinking she was alright.
A few moments later, the Jedi Knight appeared by her side, clearly unconvinced. Ahsoka had to resist the urge to sigh.
'Seriously Anakin? I'm fine. Just nerves.'
'I know Snips… I know. It'll be fine. We've got this.'
'Yeah… hope so.'
Ahsoka was about to pull out of the brief Force connection when she decided otherwise. She had something else to add.
'Padmé will be fine as well Skyguy. She is a badass after all.'
'Yeah… I know. Thanks Snips.'
With that, Ahsoka brought herself back to the swirling blue vortex before her, confidence restored.
If anyone could save the Chancellor, it was her and Anakin.
Another hour passed before the Admiral's voice reached over the internal intercom of his Star Destroyer, announcing the exit from hyperspace was imminent.
They had no idea just what sort of situation they were flying into of course, and would no doubt have to adapt on the fly. They could very well emerge right in front of a Separatist capital ship, or amongst a field of debris.
Whatever the situation they found themselves in, Ahsoka was confident that the 501st would handle it, just as they always did.
"All hands, brace for return to realspace." Yularen's voice echoed around the bridge, and the entirety of the ship once again. They had arrived.
Ahsoka braced herself against the bulkhead before her, eyes staring out of the window of the Venator's bridge, waiting, watching.
Moments later, the vortex of hyperspace faded away, and the comforting sight was replaced with utter chaos.
Sections of Coruscant were burning, a telltale sign of the damage Grievous had done to the surface in his campaign to capture the Chancellor and crush the Republic capital. From orbit, Coruscant looked grim, however, she wouldn't know the true extent of the damage done until she saw the surface herself.
The orbit around Coruscant was not much different. Hulks of burning metal that used to be spacefaring ships floated around with reckless abandon, clear evidence of a battle having been waged. From where she stood, Ahsoka could make out several variations of ships amongst the wrecks, both Republic and Separatist in design.
The sight of civilian ship models in the same state brought a rush of despair to her heart. How many innocents had been killed today?
A distant explosion drew Ahsoka out of her current train of thought, and brought her back to the situation at hand. There would be time to mourn the lost later.
Yularen's Venator had come out of hyperspace a short distance away from where the battle was currently being waged. The Republic fleet, what was left of it, was putting up a valiant defence against the Separatist war machine. From the distance they were at, there were far too many ships on both sides to count. Grievous really had brought all of his fleet after all!
"General Skywalker! We have a priority message coming through from General Windu!"
"Patch it through Admiral."
Turning her attention away from the battle raging before her, Ahsoka moved to join Anakin, Yularen and Rex around the holotable in the back section of the bridge, just in time for the hologram of Mace Windu to fizzle into existence.
"Knight Skywalker. Glad you could make it. The situation is grim."
"This is a dark day for us all Master Windu. Master Yoda told us Grievous has kidnapped the Chancellor! Are they still on Coruscant?"
"Negative Skywalker. I was unable to stop them leaving aboard a Sheathipede-class shuttle. Intelligence reports suggest that said shuttle docked with the Providence Dreadnought 'Invisible Hand' within the last five minutes. That must be Grievous' flagship."
"So he's holding the Chancellor captive aboard his flagship in the middle of this battle?"
"Indeed Skywalker, and considering the individual he has taken hostage, Republic High Command is hesitant to fire upon that ship. Fighter squadrons have managed to temporarily disable the dreadnought's engines for the time being, but you need to act fast if you are to rescue the Chancellor. If Grievous manages to get the engines repaired…"
"He'll jump out of the system with the Chancellor captive. We are on it, Master Windu."
"May the Force be with you Skywalker… now more than ever."
With that the hologram of Windu faded away, being replaced with a holomap of the ongoing battle before them, a single Providence Dreadnought being highlighted in bright yellow for all to see.
"That must be the 'Hand'. It's crawling with vulture droids!" Rex spoke as he analyzed the battle. Ahsoka knew he was no expert when it came to space combat, but he could still offer advice.
"Any fighter squadrons or boarding parties we send to that dreadnought will be ripped to shreds in seconds." Yularen commented as he moved his hands across the holomap, zooming in on the dreadnought and its surroundings.
The dreadnought wasn't alone. There were at least eight Munificent-class command ships escorting Grievous' flagship as it slowly limped away from battle on what Ahsoka assumed were emergency thrusters. Ahsoka knew that they were there solely to soak up some fire from the Republic vessels that attempted to give chase. A clever ploy to safeguard Grievous and his 'prize'.
"Whatever we do, we've got to do it fast. Grievous could jump system at any minute." Rex replied, his tone carefully concealing the dread and panic Ahsoka knew he was feeling.
"We don't need to get a boarding party on the dreadnought, just myself and Ahsoka." Anakin chimed in, a plan clearly being formed in his mind.
"With respect, General Skywalker, as much as I admire your piloting abilities, I don't think even you would be able to withstand that many Vulture droids." Rex spoke again, the concern now more evident.
"Well I'm not willing to risk dozens of pilots just to provide a simple distraction Rex." Anakin replied, once again showing why the members of the 501st loved serving under him. Anakin would never willingly risk his men, not if he could help it.
"You won't have to, General Skywalker." A new voice, Thrawn's, echoed around the room as he moved to join the four.
"Lieutenant? Do you have a suggestion?" Yularen inquired, eyes locking with the red of Thrawn's.
The Chiss stared at the holomap for a few moments, before moving his eyes away from it and to the room around him, before finally briefly glancing over Ahsoka and then back to the map.
"I do Admiral. To put it simply, I suggest we utilize an unorthodox, yet familiar tactic."
"And what tactic is that Lieutenant?"
"The 'Marg Sabl'."
Ahsoka eyes widened at the mention of the tactic she had inadvertently created during the 'Battle of Ryloth'. That had been a dark day for her, at least to begin with. The loss of her entire fighter squadron hurt, even now, and no matter how many times the likes of Anakin, Rex or Jesse had told her not to beat herself up over it, she had, at least in private.
She had caused the death of so many men that day through her own arrogance. She strived to never do that again, doubly so after her mistake on Felucia only weeks later. Honestly she was surprised she hadn't been kicked out of the 501st and the Jedi back then. She would have deserved to have been.
Closing her eyes and taking a breath to rid herself of those dark thoughts, Ahsoka reopened them and focused on the holomap, trying to picture how the Marg Sabl would be effective.
The tactic was simple in principle. A Venator Star Destroyer would angle itself in a way that both the bridges and central hangar bay were shielded from sight, with the Star Destroyer's ventral hull, the strongest part of the ship, facing the bulk of the enemy fire. Whilst the enemy focused their firepower on the heavily shielded and heavily armoured ventral side of the ship, fighter wings would launch unseen from the hangar bay, remaining inside of the 'shadow' created by the Venator before building up to attack speed, at which point they would reveal themselves to the enemy with nothing being able to stop them.
It was a good idea on Thrawn's part, no question, and Ahsoka didn't just think that for biased reasons. However, it still wasn't flawless, something Anakin pointed out moments later.
"Even if we pull the manoeuvre off, there are still too many Vulture droids to fight in a head on battle. Plus at that range we'd be susceptible to the full firepower of the dreadnought, something even this ship can't withstand for long."
"Not to mention the Separatist cruisers escorting the dreadnought as well." Rex chimed in, one hand on his chin in a very 'Obi-Wan' fashion.
"Very true." Thrawn continued, clearly not finished with his plan. "The Venator would be vulnerable, and we don't have the numbers to fight that many Separatist fighter craft. However, we do possess two Jedi Eta-2 class starfighters in the hangar. If we manoeuvre our command ship into position near the 'Invisible Hand', both Skywalker and Tano can use the shadow created by the Marg Sabl manoeuvre to build up considerable speed. With enough speed they should be able to fly right past the Separatist fighter squadrons with minimal resistance whilst we distract the Dreadnought and her escort by faking a retreat."
"Are you suggesting we fake a failed attack to allow the Jedi to slip in undetected?" Yularen questioned, confusion in his tone. Ahsoka had to resist the urge to correct him on her status as a member of the Jedi Order.
"That is precisely my suggestion Admiral Yularen. Furthermore, since he was not present during the 'Battle of Ryloth', there is a good chance General Grievous will be unaware of the tactic we are employing."
Ahsoka had to admit, now that she had thought it through some more, it was a good idea. Building up to attack speed would allow both her and Anakin to outfly any Vulture droid before they could so much as get a target lock on them. Even if they had to pull an Anakin and crash land their fighters inside the Dreadnought's hangar bay, it would still be worth the risk in bypassing any outside combat.
"Gotta say, I like this plan. It's got potential." Ahsoka joined in, throwing her support behind Thrawn, who nodded at her gratefully.
"It's a very high risk plan Commander. Even if Skywalker and yourself manage to land in the 'Invisible Hands' hangar in one piece, there is no guarantee that we will be able to escape the combined might of the Dreadnought and it's escorts. We could very well end up losing this Venator as well." Yularen said, surveying to holomap once again, clearly trying to find an alternative.
"Then it's a good thing this ship has the best Republic Admiral in the Navy at its helm isn't it?" Ahsoka replied, hoping to encourage Yularen. From the way the Admiral's eyes widened in surprise, she could tell it had worked to an extent. Clearly he hadn't been expecting a vote of confidence from her of all people.
"Regardless on whether or not it is a good plan, it's all we've got at the moment, and we are running out of time." Rex too gave his vote of support, if somewhat reluctantly. Ahsoka knew the Captain didn't like the idea of putting both her and Anakin's lives in danger in such a way, but it was better than the alternative that would certainly lead to the deaths of dozens of Clone pilots.
"All right then, I guess this is the plan. Admiral?" Anakin spoke, locking eyes with Yularen to measure his response. The Republic Admiral sighed before nodding his head.
"Very well General Skywalker, head down to your fighters. We will prepare the ship for the Marg Sabl."
Content that they finally had a plan, Ahsoka moved to follow Anakin out of the bridge, nodding to Rex and Thrawn in the process.
It was time to rescue the Chancellor.
The Venator's hangar bay was as busy as Ahsoka expected it to be. Numerous Clones of numerous professions darted around, prepping for what was the come. Whether or not they knew that they wouldn't be part of this mission was unknown to Ahsoka, but she was glad regardless to see them ready to help at a moment's notice.
The Clones really were the best soldiers in the galaxy.
"This way Snips." Anakin's calm and collected voice was a stark contrast to both the hangar bay, and the battle raging on above Coruscant. It was times like these that Anakin was at his best. In a way, Ahsoka thought, it was ironic. Anakin would never survive peacetime, but war and conflict? That was when he was in his element, and that was when he was the most calm of all.
Continuing to follow Anakin, she soon found herself before a pair of starfighters, one painted bright yellow, and the other a familiar red.
It was the same fighter she had used on Cato Neimoidia, before…
Before the bombing. Before the trial.
"Ar-Seven has kept it in working order for you. Kept saying you'd return to pick it up." Anakin said, gesturing to the red astromech waiting inside the droid slot on the fighter. Upon seeing Ahsoka, the droid released a series of happy beeps, ones mimicked by Artoo, who sat in Anakin's own fighter.
Unable to resist the wide smile that came to her face, Ahsoka moved towards the fighter, nudging Anakin's elbow as she passed him in the process.
"Thanks Ar-Seven. I knew I could count on you. Sorry I never said goodbye when…"
The astromech beeped twice, simply stating that it didn't matter and that they understood Ahsoka's reasoning. Ahsoka was pleased to see she had another friend on the ship still, even if it was an astromech.
"Right then, time to power up I guess. Race you to the dreadnought Snips!"
"Ha! You're on 'Slow-Guy'!"
"Pffftt… that the best you can do shorty?"
"I'm not short!"
"You're shorter than me!"
"Everyone is shorter than you!"
"I know! It's great!"
With that, Anakin moved towards his fighter and vaulted up into the pilot seat, bringing the hatch down to seal himself in the process whilst Artoo began to warm up the engines.
Rolling her eyes at the prior banter, Ahsoka did the same to her fighter.
Inside of a ship the size of a Venator Star Destroyer, gravity was an odd thing. Even if the ship tilted in space, those inside would remain the right way up. It was only in very rare circumstances that those within the Venator would experience a change in gravity, and the ceiling would become the floor. Usually, if that happened , it meant the ship was going down and it was time to abandon said ship.
Luckily, the Marg Sabl manoeuvre was not one that would affect the gravity inside of the ship. Whilst on the outside, it might look like the Star Destroyer was listing to one size badly, as if it was a person who had consumed too much alcohol in a short span of time, inside of the ship would be business as usual.
And by business as usual, Ahsoka knew that it meant Yularen would be doing everything he could to ensure the safety of his crew, as well as the success of the mission.
Grasping hold of the controls of her fighter, she pulled up out of the Venator's hangar, following Anakin's path as she had done dozens of times. The plan was to remain in the shadow of the now 'turned over' Venator until they had built up enough speed. Hopefully then they could fly right past any fighter resistance before they could retaliate.
Hopefully they wouldn't have to wait too long before commencing the plan. The Venator was a strong ship, no question, but it wasn't indestructible.
A few passes around the concealed bridges of the Venator later, and the comm link pinged with a message.
"General Skywalker. Agent Tano. There is a break in the Separatist defensive fighter line. It seems some of their fighters decided to try and attack . You are clear to proceed with your run." Thrawn's voice cracked across the comm, confidence radiating through his tone.
"Copy that Lieutenant. Thanks." Anakin replied over the shared communication channel, his fighter beginning to angle in a new direction in the process, one that Ahsoka followed.
It was then that another voice came across the comm link.
"Give General Clanker my regards would you? Tell him I've got some unfinished business with him."
Ahsoka was the first to reply, knowing full well what Rex meant.
"With pleasure Captain. I'll bring you back his head as a souvenir if I can."
Rex didn't reply, but she knew he heard her. After what Grievous had done to both Cody and Depa, she knew full well how much Rex wanted him dead. If she could, she would.
Tightening her grip on her controls, she pulled her fighter up to join formation with Anakin's yellow one.
A few tense seconds later, they emerged from the 'shadow' cast by the underside of the Venator, and erupted into the chaos around them. A constant bombardment of turbo laser fire pelted the shields of the Star Destroyer, completely ignorant of the two Jedi starfighters that had just appeared from nowhere.
Ahsoka smirked beneath her helmet at just how perfect the plan had gone. No doubt Anakin was doing the same.
Looking ahead, she saw their destination. The shielded hangar of the Providence-class dreadnought known as the 'Invisible Hand'.
Grievous' flagship.
"The shields? "Ahsoka questioned over the comm link.
"Proton torpedoes on the generators. You take the left one. I've got the right."
"Copy that. Ar-Seven, would you like to do the honours?"
The astromech beeped happily in confirmation, and seconds later Ahsoka's cockpit display lit up with a target lock.
"Ready when you are, Master." Ahsoka spoke again, forgetting that she was no longer his Padawan for a brief moment. It was hard not to slip back into such tenancies in such a familiar situation.
"Fire at will Snips!" Came Anakin's response.
And so she did.
Twin torpedoes erupted from the fighter, the same as Anakin's. Ahsoka watched as they trailed through space towards their unaware target.
She counted the seconds down. Five, four, three, two, one.
A pair of explosions rocked the side of the 'Invisible Hand', and the shield around the hangar bay entrance faded away.
Author's thoughts
Well... here we are... one of the many iconic scenes of Revenge of the Sith...
... and I completely changed it! Oops! Hopefully you aren't too disappointed.
This arc is proving a pain to write because there was so many iconic scenes in it that the fans love. The whole opening five minutes of the film with the massive battle in space is one of them, and whilst I needed the battle to happen, I didn't just want to do an exact scene repeat but with Ahsoka replacing Obi-Wan, and thus I decided to change things up a bit instead so that the story wouldn't be predictable. With Thrawn being present, I figured now would be a good time for him to show off his skills are a commander, and thus decided on the iconic Marg Sabl tactic instead.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the OG scene as much as everyone else, but for the sake of this story I felt like it didn't really add anything other than just action. We already know Anakin is a skilled pilot, and there are only so many ways I can write 'and then Anakin fired his fighters weapons and destroyed a Vulture droid'. Thus... a compromise.
There will be more instances in this first part of me removing main action centric scenes as well in favour of something else. Just a warning. :)
Aside from that the only other really important detail here is Mandalore. Obi-Wan and Caleb are off to get Maul this time around. I wonder what side effects that might have? XD
So yeah, that's about it. Once again, thanks to my beta reader 'ArrinSnyders' for all his help. He's been sending me extracts from the ROTS novel to help me with certain scenes, so big super thanks to him for that extra devotion. XD
Next time round, Anakin, Ahsoka and the droids begin their quest to find Palpatine aboard the Invisible Hand! XD
As usual, comment and speculate at will. Speaking of which:
DroidePlane: Poor Depa and Cody indeed. I was pretty harsh to them both and felt real bad doing so, but I wanted Grievous to be scary. I'm glad you liked the twist. Sorry about the heartstrings! XD
There are actually two different Mandalorian women in the previous chapter. The one at the end was Bo-Katan, as scene in this chapter. The one who shows up after Ahsoka and Caleb finish sparring however is meant to be Ursa Wren. XD
Cat-Gods-Of-The-Cat-People: Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapters. And you are very welcome. We are nearing the end now... hopefully! XD
the Mandalorian terminator: Tell me about it! I'm so pleased to finally reach the end of this story. I just gotta actually finish it now! XD
The foreshadowing flash-forward was great fun to write, and I've loved seeing people speculate as to who it is speaking in that scene.
Caleb's development has been great fun to do as well. He deserved more screentime.
Hopefully you aren't too upset about not seeing the actual kidnapping. It didn't really add anything to the story aside from an action scene, and thus I chose not to write it. Sorry. :(
TragicFiction: I doubt a check is coming honestly, not that I mind much. :)
Looks like Ahsoka has joined the mission... but Obi-Wan has not? Hmmmmm... I wonder what will happen because of that? XD
Australian Dealer: Hopefully it will be interesting, yes. At least, that's what I'm going for. :)
Don't be so sure that Ahsoka is leading the Clones. The original flashforward can be taken in many ways after all. You'll just have to wait and see I'm afraid. XD
Moonpetal01: Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Hope this one was good too.
interesting speculation regarding the flashforward. Only time will tell if you are right. XD
DojoYoyo: Hopefully this is where the fun begins, yeah. Hope you enjoyed this chapter too. XD
tf330129: Doing my best. :)
RyanSquad: Um... yeah... afraid I can't do that. I love doing my evil cliffhangers after all! XD
I hope you enjoyed the brief look at the Battle of Coruscant. I chose not to do the ground battle as it added nothing to the plot of the story. I'm sure Fordo was kicking some major droid ass down on the surface with Yoda and Windu though! XD
As for Utapau and Grievous... well... you never know how things might end up changing before we even get to that point... especially now that Obi-Wan is occupied elsewhere! XD
