When Victoria had left the room, Theodore had gone to his son, who was unconscious on the floor. Quincy had just begun to revive, and Theodore had helped the boy to his feet. "Are you hurt?"

"My head hurts a bit, but other than that I think that I'm okay."

"I'll have to take you to a Healer, you might have a concussion."

"I'm okay Dad, what was that? What happened to Victoria?"

Theodore sighed softly. "I think that's something I should explain when everyone else is here."

"Where are they all at?"

"They're still at the party with Florence."

"What Victoria said, about her being a Death Eater…do you think that's true?"

"I don't want to believe that it's true Quincy, but I have to admit that Florence has been acting odd as of late, shutting herself away from me. But that's not what's most important right now. I'll have to write a letter to Dumbledore, he might have an idea of what to do."

When the others returned from the party, Theodore gathered them all in the dining room to sit down and talk. "Victoria found your ring." He said, looking right at Florence as he spoke.

Florence had gone pale, but she didn't say anything.

"The ring possessed her, but that's not all. I know that you're a Death Eater, Flo."

Florence sighed, staring down at her hands in defeat as the kids all looked at her in disbelief.

"I just want to know why." Theodore's voice had softened, and the pain that was in his voice was plain to hear.

"Why? Because Muggles don't belong in our world, Theodore. They are beneath us. We could do so much, but because of those stupid Muggles, we are forced to stay in hiding. And don't even get me started on those filthy Mudbloods." She wasn't even trying to hide anything anymore.

Theodore no longer looked like he was hurt, instead, his face was red with anger. "I cannot believe you Florence! So the rumors about you are true then."

"Oh, they're more than true, Theo. I was hoping that someday I could get you to see my side of things, and for a while, I thought that I had been getting close, but then you started spending time with that bloody Weasley man, and I knew that you were a lost cause.." She stood up from the table, going to where Lynette was seated, and placing a hand on her daughter's shoulder. "I have to admit that Victoria wasn't part of the plan, I was going to turn Lynette over, but if Victoria's powers are even close to those of her parents, then she will be a great addition to the cause indeed."

"Mum?" Lynette whispered, her voice wavering a bit.

"Oh sweetie, I was hoping so much that you could help your mother, but I started having doubts the moment that you were sorted into Hufflepuff."

"That's enough!" Theodore boomed. "Florence, I am going to call the Aurors, and they are going to take you to Azkaban." He whipped out his wand, but Florence was faster. She disarmed Theodore, grabbed both Quincy and Blaise, and disappeared.

"Quincy!" Lynette shouted. "Dad, where did she take them?!"

"I don't know, but she won't have them for long, I promise." Theodore quickly sent a message to the Ministry of Magic, and then he wrote a letter to Dumbledore, using one of his fastest owls. "Lynette, I'm going to place wards around the house, I don't want you going outside, alright? I don't want to lose you as well."

Lynette nodded her head, her face white in fear. "They'll be okay, won't they?"

"Blaise and Quincy will watch out for each other."

"And Victoria?"

Theodore bit his lip. He wanted to reassure his daughter, but he also didn't want to lie to her, either. "I don't know, honey."

Not even two hours later, Dumbledore arrived, with Snape trailing behind him.

"Severus," Theodore said, his voice filled with surprise at seeing the Slytherin head of house. "I was unaware that you would be accompanying the headmaster."

"I take the safety of my students very seriously," Snape replied.

"Professor Sprout shall be joining us shortly," Dumbledore said. "Filius and Minerva will be taking care of the school in our absence. Now, how did all of this come about?"

The longer that the story went on, the graver the look on Dumbledore's face became.

"That ring was only supposed to be a myth," Snape stated. "You-Know-Who had people looking for it, but no one was able to find it, so how your wife was able to find it Theodore is beyond me."

"You would know all about the doings of him, wouldn't you, Severus?"

"What exactly are you implying?"

"I'm not implying anything, I'm stating a fact-"

"Enough!" Dumbledore boomed. "Three of my students are in grave danger, and I will waste no time dilly-dallying. Theodore, take me to your bedroom please, if I can have something that belongs to Florence, then I might be able to perform a location spell."

"Of course." Theodore quickly led Dumbledore up to his bedroom. "I somewhat feel like this is partly my fault." He admitted to the Headmaster. "I should have seen through Florence's act."

"When we are in love with someone, that love can blind us to even the most evilest of deeds."

"You speak like you're talking from experience."
"I am an old man Theodore, there are many things that I have experienced in my lifetime."

Theodore went over to a drawer, pulling out a silver bracelet with little diamond studs. "I gave this to Florence last year for our anniversary."

"Something out of sentiment, that will make the spell even stronger and more likely to work." He took the bracelet and waved his wand over it. "Invenere." He murmured, and after a few moments, a thin golden beam trailed from the bracelet.

"We need to follow that trail," Dumbledore said. "Quickly."

They had Professor Sprout remain with Lynette once she had arrived, and Dumbledore, Theodore, and Snape took off on their brooms, following the trail that the spell was leaving, and they followed it all the way to the old Lestrange house.

"I wonder why they're here," Theodore muttered.

"Perhaps they are trying to bring Victoria closer to her family history," Snape stated. "Victoria herself might have even chosen this place, due to the ring's influence on her."

"We should expect this place to be heavily guarded," Dumbledore said. "Wards, spells, we need to be prepared for anything. I would suggest waiting for reinforcements, but something tells me that we don't have time for that."

A scream of pain echoed from inside.

"Quincy!" Theodore shouted, about to surge forward, when Dumbledore held him back. 'They're trying to lure us in."

"But that's my son!" Theodore pushed Dumbledore off of him, running towards the door. He swung the door open, and a few seconds later, a loud explosion erupted.
