Chapter 26 ~ Dirty
(cont. Bonnie's House)
Elena was the first to walk through the door and to ask questions "Did you hear from Katherine? What's wrong?" seeing their worried look she felt a bit of panic for the first time this evening.
"Yes, Katherine called and Elijah is willing to meet with us and discuss a plan. However, he is not willing to meet at the tomb. Instead Katherine is going to call us tomorrow to tell us the place and time of Elijah's choosing." Stefan pauses briefly to let the information sink in and continues...
"Our worry is this could be a trick! The tomb gave us the advantage to have a plan in place in case of a trap. Now it is impossible if we don't even know where we will meet."
"Well then it is time to figure out a fail safe plan and get some back up." Bonnie stated.
"We could bring extra Vampire muscle! I just so happen to know a few Vampires." Caroline says with a grin while nudging Elena with her arm.
"I don't think Elena should go with us, just in case it is a trap! We would be handing her over for a Sacrifice! Damon exclaimed!
Elena rolled her eyes and stomped forward, her voice full of agitation "No! I am going! We don't even know for sure that all this is true. If it is and the plan calls for me to time travel than I want to know everything before I decide. That would also mean I am key to breaking the Curse and it's me they are after. So I want in on everything. No secrets!" she added.
"I think Damon is right Elena. You would be safer to stay at home and Bonnie can put a Protection spell on your house." Stefan explained.
"No! No! I will not stay home or anywhere for that matter while not knowing what danger you guys could be in or worse getting yourselves killed because of me." Elena said, her voice breaking and tears filing her eyes. Stefan walked over and put his arm around her to comfort her and spoke softly
"This whole plan according to Katherine is to keep you safe Elena."
Damon's eyes met Elena's and she could feel his emotions and thinking were the same as Stefan's but she quickly pushed Stefan's arm of her and spoke loudly "I know everyone wants to protect me and I appreciate it, I really do but I also don't want to stand around and do nothing! I am a part of it! End of story!"
Bonnie and Caroline were the only ones sitting down and feeling like they were invading a private battle between the Salvatore's and Elena and Bonnie had enough. "Enough debating! Let Elena make her own decision, there are plenty of us here who can protect her and besides we are wasting time! We need to think of a plan and start putting our heads together." nobody spoke out loud but they all slightly nodded at Bonnie in agreement so Bonnie took that as her Que to take charge and started barking out orders "Caroline call your Vampire friends and set up a meeting. Stefan go with her. You can help her explain. Elena it is safer for you to stay here, you should not be going out in case they are around. I will get my Grimorie and start looking over some protection spells."
"What about me?" Damon said feeling slightly hurt.
"You can stay here and help protect Elena." Bonnie ordered while also thinking he would be good to have around for her own protection, even though she would never admit that out loud.
Everyone began to get busy. Caroline took out her cell and called John and he agreed to meet her & Stefan. Bonnie took out a huge Grimoire and placed it on the coffee table and started researching some spells they could use for tommorrow. Damon was pacing the floor thinking of how he personally could make sure Elena stayed safe tomorrow. Elena was thinking there is nothing to do until Stefan and Caroline came back hopefully with the help of John and Demetri so they could all work together on a plan.
A short time later Elena was standing behind the couch that Bonnie was sitting on pretending to watch her study the book intently but secretly she was looking up from the top of her lids to watch Damon. She thought he looked so Beautiful pacing the floor. Hair dark and tousled, his hand running back through his hair, watching the muscle on his forearm flex, his long dark lashes over top very blue eyes that sparkled like crystal in the dim lighting and flickering of a candle near the end table. For the first time she really allowed herself to look at him unguarded. Before today she always found a fixed point near him to focus on while in a room with him. Elena always knew he was good looking but never allowed herself to study him this intently and appreciate how beautiful he really is. She could feel a heat stirring within her again and started to feel naughty.
Damon finally sensing her eyes on him, looked over to her and when their eyes connected he gave her a devilish grin. Elena smiled and with much force tore her eyes away from him and took her phone out of her back pocket and quickly found Damon's name and texted him.
To: Damon
From: Elena
Earlier tonight...I really wanted to make you happy;)
Buzz Buzz Damon looks away to pull his phone out and he sees it's a text from Elena, he quickly opens it and reads, then he smiles softly at the screen and texts back
To: Elena
From: Damon
Elena you did make me happy...I feel the cravings to remember...craving fed;)
Buzz Buzz Elena reads his text and realizes Damon didn't understand her meaning and she blushes as she texts him back
To: Damon
From: Elena
No...I mean I wanted to satisfy you ;) :)
Buzz Buzz...Elena watches Damon intently as he reads, hoping he will get it this time. Damon rolls his eyes and quickly text back
To: Elena
From: Damon
Elena your blood is heavenly to me...the sweetest I've ever tasted...trust me I was totally satisfied ;)
Buzz Buzz Elena reads his text still blushing but now she is getting a little annoyed...Damon still does not get it! She rolls her eyes at him and he just shrugs his shoulders and she text him again
To: Damon
From: Elena
NO! I wanted to...PLEASE...YOU...you know PLEASE ;) ;) ;)
Buzz Buzz Damon reads her text and his eyes go wide and he chokes out a cough and looks at Elena in surprise. Elena just smiles a devious grin and raises her eyebrows suggestively...Damon's mouth drops open and he doesn't know what to reply back. Elena is thrilled that for once she has shocked Damon with Flirty conversation as he always has done to her since they met.
Just then Bonnie looks up at Damon and then Elena and says "Are you two enjoying your private conversation? I can hear your phones buzzing back and forth ! Anything I need to know?" she snaps.
Damon snickers at Elena and she says "No, sorry Bonnie we just didn't want to disturb your studying. We were just wandering if Caroline and Stefan were having any luck with John and Demetri?" Elena remarks while making sure she says Demetri name in an endearing tone and sticking her tongue out at Damon.
Damon gives her a knowing ha ha smirk and still can't stop smiling or believing that Elena sent him a Dirty text...well sort of Dirty...and then it strikes him that Elena is in too good of a mood considering all she is facing right now.
"Elena you seem to be in a good mood considering all this Doom and Gloom." he states looking at her suspiciously. Elena rolls her eyes and before she can say a word Bonnie sing songs "That's because Elena has a plan of her own." she looks at Damon with raised eyebrows trying to stress to him her concern.
Damon's face shows surprise and then confusion "What Plan?" Damon asked sternly to whoever will answer looking back and forth between the two of them. Bonnie starts to speak but Elena cuts her off "We don't even know for sure if all this is real or if I will even be time traveling Bonnie! Elena retorted...angry at Bonnie.
Damon persists "What Plan Elena?"
Elena sighs, she does not feel like going through this explanation again tonight and especially with Damon. Bonnie quickly spills the beans while Elena tries to reach down and cover her mouth but Bonnie is able to push her hand away and answer "Elena wants to Time Travel to "1864" with you and Stefan as humans."
Damon looks at her and his mouth drops open again. His mind is racing and he's forgotten all about her Dirty text message and he just can't figure this one out so he started to open his mouth and ask Elena to explain but just then Stefan came through the door with Caroline, John and Demetri close behind.
A/N Well I just updated in August and so happy to be posting so soon in September :) Things are getting under way but I love the Naughty text Elena sent Damon. Don't know why I didn't put some more texting in there lol. Anyhow I have chapter 27 already written so should be typing and posting soon :) I really tried this chapter Amu4ever to shorten the paragraphs just for you. Please comment and let me know what you think. I could really use some encouragement because I am not so pleased with the next chapter 27. I may need to rewrite or just leave it alone?
