Chapter 27 ~ Develop
(Bonnie's Cont.)
All eyes were on Stefan and Caroline. Elena gasped, realizing she never told Caroline to make sure John and Demetri didn't mention last Friday night to Stefan. She gave Caroline a fearful look, Caroline noticed her panic and winked to reassure her that all was good. Obviously with the same fear as Elena, Damon quickly interjected and introduced himself to John and Demetri.
John and Demetri then greeted Bonnie and Elena and Stefan ask no questions so he must of knew that they had met the Vampires at the Bar a little over a month ago, Caroline must of told him that much.
"So we have extra muscle?" Damon asked.
John and Demetri both nodded "We are here to help in any way we can." John reassured them while winking at Caroline who sweetly smiled at him. Bonnie rolled her eyes at Caroline, she wasn't real crazy about John and Demetri but she did appreciate the extra help and was quick to get down to buisness..
"I have been going over protection spells. I think that is our safest bet. So no matter where we meet Elijah or Katherine tomorrow I can spell everyone." Bonnie said, hoping to ease any fears.
"Can you put a protection spell on yourself also?" Elena asked.
"Yes Elena." Bonnie answered with a sincere smile, touched that her best friend was concerned for her.
"How does the spell work? Is it the same for Human or Vampire?" Damon asked. Bonnie knew the meaning behind his question. His concern for Elena being the only human besides me...the Witch who can protect herself.
"I will be putting a basic protection spell on everyone. As for Elena and I, we will also have a Barrier spell. The protection spell will not allow anyone to be physically touched but will allow for closeness to another person. The Barrier spell for Elena and I will also not allow anyone to come within five feet of us!" Bonnie explained.
"What if Elijah has his own witch and she blocks or has a spell that overpowers your spells? Stefan asked.
"Great question Stefan! One I thought of myself. I will placing a Seal around all of us after everyone has the Protection spell and Elena and I have the Barrier spell. I'm hoping that a Seal will be enough to cover the spells and they can't be overpowered. I must also remind you all that according to Katherine, Elijah is an Original Vampire, so he's been around awhile and so I'm guessing Elijah may have a Witch or two who are way more powerful than me, So there is a possibility of Failure. So, if anyone wants to back out, they should do it now!" Bonnie exclaimed!
"Nope!" Damon said popping the "P".
"I'm in All the Way." Stefan stated with absolution,
"Elena is one of my Best friends. I'm in it to Win it!" Caroline said happily while smiling at Elena.
"Any friend of Caroline is a friend of mine. I'm In." John stated and winked again at Caroline as if to drop another hint he liked her, not that we all hadn't noticed already.
"I only met Elena once but consider her a friend so the pleasures all mine." Demetri purred in his Italian accent while grabbing Elena's hand and pulling it to his mouth and kissing gently. Elena smiled at him with a warm smile and Stefan's eyebrows furrowed and Damon rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
Elena then looked at Bonnie with an appreciative expression and Bonnie smiled warmly in return with tears in her eyes and not having to say a word for Elena to know that she was All In. Elena glanced around slowly and looked at everyone's faces and as she started to speak and thank them tears began to spill over and she choked up and bowed her head in awe of the Love and Support from everyone.
One by one they came over and hugged her. Stefan kissed her gently on the forehead and Bonnie and Caroline together squeezed her in a Bear Hug. Damon hugged her lightly and grazed his thumb over her cheek and smiled at her with a pained expression. Elena wanted to comfort him so badly but she knew their were to many eyes on them. John and Demetri went last, both with a light hug as a friendly acquaintance would.
Elena swallowed and wiped her tears with the back of her hand and cleared her throat...
"Thank you all so much. I can't express how I feel right now! I am overwhelmed with Gratitude that you all want to protect me and help." Elena began to choke up again and cry and Stefan put his arm around her and rubbed her shoulder.
"Are we doing the spells tonight?" Caroline asked while looking at Bonnie who was still wiping away tears of her own.
"Yes. We don't know the time or place of the meeting tomorrow so we should do the spells tonight in case there is no time tomorrow!" Bonnie answered and then quickly leaving the room to gather what she needed. Demetri offered to help and Bonnie accepted.
Meanwhile John and Caroline walked in the kitchen to talk. Stefan and Damon sat on the arms of the couch, each side of Elena who was now sitting but still feeling overwhelmed.
Bonnie and Demetri walked back in with the boxes and handed Stefan a box with small ceramic bowls and ask him to fill them with water. Damon took advantage of Stefan's absence and quickly texted Elena...

Elena read the text and just signed she was not in the mood at all and quickly texted back..

Not tonight! After Elijah's meeting...I promise:)

Damon read the text and a low growl escaped and Elena turned to look at him and immediately feeling the heat in her core start up again..."Not Now!" she thought. She quickly got up to busy herself and started helping Bonnie and Demetri with the candles and bowls of water Stefan was now carrying in on a tray all the while noticing that even if the ache in her core and the craving calmed that nothing was stopping the ache in her heart...
Bonnie began instructing them to place a bowl of water and thick white candle around the table and to remove the dinning chairs and place them in the living room.
Damon, thinking Elena was mad at him the way she rushed off to help, was eying her seriously from the arm of the couch where he still had not moved. When Elena noticed she winked at him without even thinking and chuckled to herself that she has once again surprised Damon.
Caroline and John came in from the kitchen where they had no doubt been kissing, John had lipstick smudges on is lips. Caroline ignored my giggle and tapped Bonnie on the arm speaking softly.. "Bonnie, after the spell is done does that mean we can't touch each other?" she asked with one eye squinted.
Bonnie spoke loudly to answer, smirking at Caroline at the same time. "Everyone gather around the table!. It is time to start." Everyone gathered around while nervously looking at each other. Once everyone was at the table Bonnie spoke up again... "Once I spell each one of you, the spell will last for 24 hrs. Starting immediately, to answer to your question Caroline." Caroline pouted and rolled her eyes and Bonnie continued..
"So we will not be able to touch each other and you won't be able to get within five feet of Me and Elena. It is almost 11pm so this will last until tomorrow night at 11pm. Everyone got it?" Bonnie asked. We all nodded and Bonnie continued. "We have all done our hugging, anyone want to kiss or touch do it Now! After the spells are done I think it is better for everyone to stay here tonight. My dad is out of town and we should stay together unless you want to try to explain to people why they bounce off you like a rubber ball when they try to touch you." Bonnie stated while snickering.
Stefan reached over and grabbed Elena and kissed her lips softly and held the kiss for much longer than Stefan's usual PDA. John followed suite and kissed Caroline. Bonnie watched and rolled her eyes and coughed to get everyone's attention, after all eyes were on her, Damon, standing on the other side of Elena gently grabbed her hand under the table and out of view and squeezed her hand causing her to jump slightly and squirm. She looked at Damon out of the corner of her eye and smiled. Bonnie started again...
"So, the Protection spells will be cast at the same time on everyone, the Water and the Candles are elements for me to draw power from. Everyone take a bowl of water and place it right in front of you and the candle just to the right of the bowl." Everyone complied slowly and then looked to Bonnie for further instruction. "Everyone Hold Hands and stand still. After the Protection spell is Placed, Only Elena and I will stay in the room for the Barrier Spell and everyone else will wait for us in the living roomand then I will call you all back to the table when it is time to do the Seal Spell."
Bonnie then placed her Gremiore in front of her at the head of the Table and took a deep breath and began to Chant!
A/N I don't know where to begin to apologize for taking so long to update this story. No excuses just I'm sorry. I really am not a total fan of writing any witchcraft, as you can probably tell lol. Anyways Spring is in the air and so is Love and I'm feeling it for this story:) So I hope to update more often now.
