As always, reviews keep me going!

One:

Sweat covered about every inch of Naruto's body. The uncomfortable feeling of his clothes sticking to his body, skin starting to feel too tight as he leaned forward on a tree at the edge of the training ground bracing his forearms against his thighs. His breath came out in pants, a slight pain growing in his side.

This is what happens when you decide to go on an impromptu five-mile run with no warm-up. Kumara chuckles at him from within

I needed to clear my head. Naruto had left Kakashi-sensei's office at a run, not stopping until he had made it out of the village proper down the paths to the smaller outlying towns and back around to the training grounds. The words from the over two-hour-long meeting discussing treaties and alliances he had been asked to sit in on still bounced around his head.

Naruto stood, stretching his arms above his head, moving to walk back into town when a sudden movement catches his attention. It wasn't late, the sun had hardly dipped below the village walls, but with the new time of peace, it was odd to see anyone training this late in the day.

As he got closer he recognized the pair sparring, Hinata and Kiba. No chakra flowing between them, just taijutsu. The two exchanged blows while attempting to dodge each other. Kiba, while impressive with his movements, was struggling to keep up with the blue-haired girl in front of him.

Hinata moved with a grace Naruto knew was from training in her clan's gentle fighting style. Swinging her legs wide, while keeping her eyes trained on Kiba, fist making contact in points Naruto knew she'd be able to take Kiba out if she'd been using her chakra.

Leaning against a tree he watches, watches her move. Amazed at how elegant she looked while thoroughly kicking Kiba's ass. She was dressed in a sports bra and leggings. Her body was lean and built for this type of close combat. Naruto watched the way she landed a blow on Kiba before springing backward avoiding his returning hit.

Blinking, the sweat from earlier stinging as it slides into his eye. One of the pair in front of him finally took notice of him standing there. "Hey, Hinata." Naruto waves as he takes the hem of his shirt, using the fabric to wipe his face. While his eyes are covered he hears the unmistakable sound of someone hitting the ground. Kiba howls with laughter, extending his hand to help Hinata off the ground.

"See you guys later!" Naruto turns to leave.

I must be tired, there's no way Hinata just told Kiba to fuck off. He thinks to himself, jumping the fence and taking the shorter route back to his apartment

Two:

Fuck off.

If you would just stop being so stubborn and listen to what your elders tell you then you wouldn't be in this situation.

Naruto shut out the fox spirit that raged inside his head. Cradling his broken hand in his permanently bandaged one, using his shoulder to push open the door to the hospital hoping to find Sakura.

"The hell did you do?" She questions when he found her in a back hallway going through a supply cart.

"Fucking Kakashi."

"Kakashi-sensei" Sakura corrects.

"Whatever." Anger radiates off him "pulled some bullshit about needing to be just and fair because we're the only village with an active jinchuriki. And then not taking what I have to say into account."

"That doesn't explain your broken hand," Sakura says without missing a beat, dragging him into a room to place a splint. Knowing he won't need more than that with his healing.

"He wants me to go to villages and show that I'm for peace, and don't get me wrong Sakura, you know that I am but that's all he wants. No missions, no action, no fun. Just go to dumb meetings and shake hands. I got mad and punched one of the pillars outside his office. A few times." He shoots her a small smile, knowing she's annoyed with him.

Rolling her eyes, Sakura pushes him down onto the bed closest to the window, leaving to gather supplies.

Naruto watches the crowds outside, shopping, enjoying their free time as they move another day closer to a year since the war. Through the mass of people, he recognizes a flash of deep blue.

Hinata. She moved through the crowd with ease, chatting with a younger girl, Hanabi. He watches as the two girls compare fruit at a vendor's stand. Hanabi laughs at something Hinata says. The older girl was dressed in a long light green dress, hair tied back against her neck. She turns, the light catching in her lavender eyes, returning her sister's smile.

Naruto tilts his head, not sure why he's watching his friend pick out the fruit with her sister but he can't seem to take his eyes off her. Watch as she bags their purchase and exchanges money with the villager. Smiling yet again, giving a slight bow in thanks. She turns, now fully facing the window. Her dress clings slightly to her chest and down her stomach before loosening at her hips as it makes its way to the ground. The sound of Sakura pushing the door open draws his attention back to the room around him.

"Hinata looks nice today," Sakura smirks at him following his gaze out the window.

She looks nice every day. Not sure where the thought comes from, Naruto pushes it to the back of his mind. Holding his hand out for Sakura to splint.
