Mickey and Cy-Cass managed to find an abandoned, broken-down RV on the road for the night. It was damaged and full of holes everywhere, but it was hiding under an overgrown tree which made it perfect for them to hide from Daja and her Electricity Army. There wasn't anything in it except an oven, which Cy-Cass used her electricity powers from her metal wing to power up the RV's generator just enough to cook dinner and give the lights enough dim power. The beds were dusty, but still comfy and warm enough for the night. While Cy-Cass cooked the dinner, Mickey was on guard duty in case those electricity monsters were approaching.
Cy-Cass made a vegetable stew for dinner. Despite the stew tasting delicious, Mickey wasn't feeling hungry because he was too sad to eat, even though he didn't have anything since that bread and cheese earlier this morning. Cy-Cass knew and understood why.
"I really am very sorry about what happened to Minnie, Mickey," Cy-Cass said. "I really am."
She knew Mickey was still upset that his beloved girlfriend Minnie had turned into a giant golden robot monster and was now joining Daja's army.
"Tell me there's something you can about Minnie, Cy-Cass," Mickey said. "Tell me it's not over for her. If we must go to fight the One that Daja serves, then let's go. Where is she?"
"Mickey, please calm down," Cy-Cass said. As Mickey broke down into tears, she hugged him. "No one can find the One that Daja serves, not even me or any of the other Cy-Rangers, no matter how many times we've tried. We've never even worked out what her name, let alone where she resides. She sends her sorceresses and her armies like Daja and her Electricity Army to do her evil and dirty work. All we've achieved in this war, which had been going on for twenty years, is finding out what the sorceresses want and fight them to stop them from achieving it.
"If I could do something to turn Minnie back to herself and rescue her, Mickey, I would, but I can't. Ever since I've been a Cy-Ranger since I was six years old, I've seen many strange things, but I've never seen anything like this at all. I just can't think of any ideas. I really am very sorry."
That got Mickey thinking. If only he could do something about bring Minnie back to her normal self, even it was magical…
"Wait a minute!" Mickey stopped crying and broke free from Cy-Cass's wings. "That's it!"
"You thought of something?" Cy-Cass asked.
"Yes!" Mickey cried happily. "There is something we can do to help Minnie and stop Daja and her friends."
"What's that?" Cy-Cass asked.
"Can I have your map?" Mickey asked. "It'll help me explain better."
Cy-Cass took her jacket off and then fiddled with her metal wing to produce her blue digital map of Mouston.
"Can you enlarge your map, Cy-Cass?" Mickey asked.
"Tell me when to stop." Then Cy-Cass fiddled with her metal arm and the map started to enlarge.
"Stop," Mickey said.
She stopped enlarging the map. It was big enough to show Mouston, Duckberg, St. Canard and Spoonerville among many other towns and cities.
"You see these mountains?" Mickey pointed to a large mountain range on the map.
"The Mountains of Validus, yeah," Cy-Cass said.
Then Mickey explained that one of his previous jobs during his life was working for a sorcerer called Yen Sid, who lived in Mount Potentia, the biggest mountain of them all. "He might be able to help us with his magic."
"Why did you leave him, Mickey?" Cy-Cass asked.
"Why do you ask, Cy-Cass?" Mickey asked.
"I'm only asking because I'm worried if this Yen Sid won't want to help us if you did something to upset him and he fired you and he never wants to see you ever again in his life. With very little time, we just can't take that risk."
"No, he didn't fire me," Mickey said. "I just found more enjoyable work elsewhere, like making parties stuff at the birthday factory before my boss Mortimer sold it and all the other employees, including myself, got fried. But I haven't forgotten anything I learned from Yen Sid. When we get there, it'll be like I never left him seven years ago."
Cy-Cass pointed on her digital map where she and Mickey were and then she pointed to Mount Potentia. Then a red line came up. "It'll take us two days to get there, Mickey, and we still mustn't use transport. I'm just making sure that you're one hundred percent sure about it."
"One hundred percent sure, Cy-Cass," Mickey said. "And I promise it's the only idea I have left. I don't have any more."
"Well, I can't think of any other options," Cy-Cass said. "We'll give it a try, but first let's get some sleep and make an early start for tomorrow morning."
"Great! I can't wait!" Mickey was happier than he was a few minutes ago that now he found more hope of saving Minnie. He was happy enough to eat that stew which was still warm enough to eat.
Then they heard chatter.
"Quick, get into bed, Mickey," Cy-Cass whispered. "And hide under the quilt."
Mickey got into his bed and under his quilt. He saw Cy-Cass used her powers from her metal wing to completely drain the generator's power before she got under the quilt in her own bed. She even took their stews bowls into bed with her.
"Don't make a sound," Cy-Cass whispered.
Then both Mickey and Cy-Cass hid under their quilts. They could hear loud footsteps and chatter.
"Quiet! Or we'll scare them away!" That sounded like one of the electricity monsters.
Mickey got scared as he heard the noises get louder and closer to him. He tried his very hardest not to make any moves or noises. He even tried his hardest not to sweat.
"I thought you said you could see light or stew steam!" shouted an electricity monster.
"Stew steam? What's a stew steam?" asked another one.
"That's steam from a stew, you moron!" snapped the first electricity monster.
"Well, it's not here," said a third one. "So, let's move ahead!"
As the marching got quieter and quieter by the minute, Mickey still didn't dare pop his head out of the quilt until Cy-Cass said so.
"It's okay, Mickey," she said. "They've gone and they're not coming back."
Mickey popped his head up and saw that there were no electricity monsters at all. He sighed a relief sigh. "So, that's why you hid the stew bowls with you. To hide the evidence. Very clever."
"Thanks, Mickey Now, try and get some sleep. The sooner we get there to the mountain and try and persuade your Yen Sid friend to help us, the sooner we can help Minnie and stop Daja and her friends once and for all."
"Yeah!" Mickey cried. "Well, good night, Cy-Cass."
"Good night, Mickey."
Then they both went to sleep.
