Cabin x weight x training
As it gets late in the night, Zebro leads the gang to a cabin to stay.
"Hey, I'm back!" Zebro calls out to someone.
"Oh? You rarely bring guests." The guy comes up the starts.
"This is seaquant." Zebro introduces, "He works with me here."
"Good evening." Gon greets, but seaquant doesn't answer and walks by.
"If you won zebra over, than you must be real special." He says, "Well, make yourselves at home. Though it won't be easy here." He walks to another room.
"What does he mean by that?" Happy mutters.
"I have no idea." Wendy mutters back.
Later on, Zebro is pouring more cups of tea.
"You want to see young killua?" Seaquant questions before chuckling, "That's a riot!"
"Sorry. But we're dead serious." Leorio replies.
"Then let me give you a warming." Seaquant offers, "Give up and go home."
"What was that?!" Leorio is annoyed.
"Zebro told you about the testing gate, didn't he? That should give you an idea of what this place is like." Seaquant explains.
"We understand that it won't be easy." Wendy says.
"Even so, leaving is not an option." Gon is determined, "Not until we see Killua! Right Wendy?"
"Right!" Wendy nods.
Seaquant looks at their determination.
"When killua was in trouble, I wasn't their for him." Gon thinks back.
"It wasn't your fault." Wendy assures him, "I tried stopping him... but it didn't work."
"I should of been there, and he would of listened to us both." Gon looks down before making a determined face, "Killua is out close friend."
"We understand." Zebro says, "Then why not do some training here?"
"Training?" Happy questions.
"Listen, you guys are allowed to work together to open the door. It could even take three people. With a little training, it should be possible, How about it?"
Gon thinks for a second, "I don't like being tested..."
"But this is our only shot..." Wendy trailed.
"If this is the only way..." Kurapika trailed.
"Then we'll just have to do it!" Leorio finishes.
"Aye!" Happy raises a paw.
"Then I'll need you to put these on." Zebro then gives them weights to put on, except happy.
Each of them start struggling.
"Oh, my god..." Wendy dramatically isn't like this.
"Good thing, I'm not wearing that." Happy sighs in relief.
"Zebra, they're gonna give up in two or three days anyway." Seaquant shrugs smugly.
"What was that?!" Leorio exclaims but still struggles with the weights.
"Hasn't your shaft started?" Zebro questions Seaquant.
"Oh, right." He then walks out the cabin.
"Wendy, you can just leave up to me, kurapika, and leorio if you want." Gon turns to her, "Mr. Zebro, said even three people is enough."
"Are you sure?" Wendy asks.
"It's fine. You and happy can just cheer us on." Kurapika is fine with it.
"Ugh... yep, just leave it... to us guys." Leorio struggles with the weights on him.
"Hmm, Okay." Wendy struggling getting up, and zebra helps take the weight off her, "Ahhh, This feels much better."
"They're gonna be tortured for awhile." Happy observes the three guys.
With that said, the three train for awhile to build up their strength, in order to push through the door.
2 days later:
When it's time for them to get through.
While Gon, Wendy, and Happy are on the sidelines with Zebro, Leorio and kurapika are already on it with pushing, but stop, panting.
"This will never work." Seaquant walks up while smoking on a cigarette, "You kids need to wake up."
"In that case, you should quit watching us and do your job!" Leorio retorts, to which seaquant scuffs.
"It's only right if we help gon and wendy get killua back." Kurapika pants.
"Guys..." Wendy mutters, worried look.
"Let's do it again!" Kurapika shouts and they keep pushing.
"You can do it guys!" Happy cheers.
"Man, you can't just push mindlessly." Seaquant criticizes, "Match your timing. You have to push both doors, with all your strength, simultaneously." He walks back, "Or the gate won't open."
"So that's what it is." Happy gets the advice.
"So match our timing..." Leorio thinks.
"And push the door simultaneously." Kurapika concentrates.
"Okay!" Leorio is ready
"One! Two! Three!" They both count and then push, letting out grunts.
The door then starts to open as they push, which surprises everyone. The door shuts back and the wind sends the two back.
"Leorio! Kurapika!" Wendy, gon, and happy rush over to them.
They get up and grin, "It moved." Leorio chuckles.
"Finally!" Happy is glad.
Wendy nods and wipes a tear from her eye, while gon Is amazed as well.
Next day:
This time, they take their vests off and get ready to push the door.
"Ready!" Leorio shouts.
"Yeah!" Kurapika nods and they both push on the door, which starts opening.
"Good job guys!" Happy cheers.
"Keep going, almost there!" Wendy cheers as well.
The door then stops halfway.
"Damn!" Leorio cursed.
"One more spurt leorio..." Kurapika encourages.
"Yeah..." Leorio agrees and they keep pushing.
"At this rate..." Wendy trailed before seeing gon take off the cast around his left arm, "Wait, gon. Are you sure your left arm is healed?"
"Oh, I'm sure." Gon replied before walking over to leorio and kurapika, who also ask him why hems using his right arm, but Gon insists and encourages them to kept pushing.
"It's working!" Happy shouts.
As they push on, Wendy sees them giving it their best, "I don't wanna stand here and do nothing." She mutters before having a confident look, "I'll go and help too!" She runs over and pushes the gate as well.
"Wendy?" Leorio sees her next to him.
"It's fine. I may not have physical strength, but I stilll have magic." She replied before powering herself up, "Vernies!" She does a magic enchantment on herself.
"Woah!" The boys are amazed at her magic.
"I'll join as well." Happy pushes as well, even though his body is so small.
Together, they push through the door and finally open it. Panting out of exhaustion.
"Yes!" Leorio is happy.
"We did it, guys!" Kurapika is too.
"Uh-huh!" Gon and wendy nod.
"Aye!" Happy raises a paw.
Before they leave the cabin:
"Follow the path, and head for the mountain." Seaquant gives them instructions, "The mansion should be somewhere up there."
"I'm ashamed. Even though I've worked here for twenty-years, I've never been up the mountain. Sorry that I couldn't be any help." Zebro states.
"No, that isn't true at all." Wendy waves in assurances.
"You've actually been a huge help." Gon agrees and bows.
After bidding farewell to Zebro and Seaquant, the group heads into the forest.
Finally, this part is over. Now it's time for the visit to the zoldyck mansion. Until next time.
