'Dear journal, it's been 15 years since i was born (again) here on the boiling isles and since today's my birthday, i would like to make a recap.
Over the years I've garnered more and more achievements for the emperor's coven (as weird as that is to say)
I was known as the Silver Scout. The uniform was basically the same as the Golden guard except it was silver and black instead of gold and white. The boots and gloves were bluish purple, that too was different. The mask was also a bit different. It had two circular eye holes instead of GG's long eye hole thingy while also being more raven like instead of GG's owl like one.
Now, about my achievements. My favorite "achievement" among many is that I have the record for the highest amount of witched convinced to join a coven (because it inadvertently started rumors about the emperor magically brainwashing witches to join covens which, in turn, caused more wild witches to appear...the irony in that is hilarious. Sadly i can't write about it or I'd risk someone seeing this)
Finally, i need to talk abouty relationship with my..."mother". It seems the flesh prison that is my body has quite the soft spot for her. I don't know if it's the effects of the clone spell she used or mere instinct...but this body desires her affection and...i hate it...a lot. I've never known affection from a biological parent in (both lives) my life and i don't need any of it. I just wish there was some kind of way to deal with these stupid emotions.
Anyway, today, I'm going to the covention, which luckily landed on my birthday, for "personal purposes" that only i can understand. Farewell for now, journal.'
Tate put away his journal and started getting ready.
Inside his room, decorated with many different kinds of weapons, some wooden carvings on his desk and a few bookshelves, Tate put on his uniform and hung his sword in it's scabbard on his waist before heading out and walking through the halls of the castle.
On his way, he met multiple scouts who he greeted with a simple and short friendly wave which the scouts gladly returned.
Soon enough, Tate came face to face with someone he didn't want to meet.
"Silver scout, where are you going?" Asked Kiki calmly, knowing what he was here for "You shift doesn't start for another hour."
"...it's my birthday, remember." said Tate calmly, hiding his desire to yell because he knows how much she's trying to spite him "I'm having a day off."
Kikimora hated him because of how fast he rose up the ranks and he hated her back for it. So, they both took every opportunity to make life harder for the other.
"This won't do" said Kiki in fake worry "it says here you're scheduled for a shift today, there must've been a error. I apologize, but due to this, we may have to push your vacation...a bit further."
Tate kept his cool, knowing that he wouldn't gain anything from decapitating her at the moment. Thankfully, he often prepares a counter argument beforehand.
"Interesting, i wonder who could've made such a terrible mistake. Who could be so inadequate to do such a mistake" said Tate putting a hand on his chin causing Kiki to frown "the scouts and captains know my birthday like the back of their hand. Hmm, maybe you should look into it to make whoever did it is properly punished...or should i come with you to make sure?"
'Forget this ever happened or both our days would be ruined' was basically what Tate said.
"...very well. I shall look into it" Kiki said with a glare "but you'll have to do an extra shift to make up for this one."
"I'll see that it happens, Kiki" said Tate calmly, knowing that she has authority over him, before walking away and leaving the castle.
Tate truly hated nothing more in this world than Kikimora.

"Stupid Kikimora, ruining everything" said Tate angrily as he made it to the covention "at least I'm here now."
Tate looked throughout the covention with starry eyes. Even without the episode happening that day, Tate would still enjoy the covention. He was still fascinated with magic after all.
Soon, Tate noticed a coven that intrigued him. It was the Sword Coven. Feeling like he had enough time, he decided to take a look...and oh, did he regret it.
"Oh, this looks neat" said Tate cheerfully
"Thank yo- wait, the Silver Scout?!" Asked a guy sitting at the desk of the coven in astonishment
"Uhh"
"Oh my titan! I can't believe it! We're your biggest fans!"
"What?"
"I need to call the others right now!" Said the guy excitedly "they'll be so excited."
"Hold on a seco-" Tate couldn't finish the sentence before a group of people appeared and stared at him with starry eyes.
"Autograph" they said in a crazed tone
It was only then that Tate realized, this coven was akin to his fanclub.
Tate fought against demons, witched and beasts, but nothing...NOTHING will ever be as terrifying as a group fans willing to do anything for an autograph.
Tate, without a circle, used magic to enhance his body and blasted off with the group right on his trail.
"Seriously! First, Kiki; then this?!" Said Tate as he ran before seeing a bag sewing coven which gave him an idea "that should work"
Tate took a bag and hid behind the coven stand, causing the witch operating it to frown, but they let it go.
A minute later, he was out of his uniform that he stuffed in the bag, along with his sword which was poking out a little due to it being a bit big for the bag.
His fanclub passed by him without sparing a glance.
Tate let out a sigh of relief "phew, that's dealt with. I should get to the stadium before it gets late."
Heading towards the emperor's coven's stage, Tate made sure his face is well hidden. He didn't want Eda to see him by accident since she'd recognize him right away.
"Silver sc-" a scout said upon seeing Tate only.for him to stop when Tate gestured for him to shut up "i mean, Tate. What are you doing here?"
"Just here for the show, don't let anyone know I'm here that's an order" said Tate pulling out his cloak from the bag and putting the hood on "see ya at the surprise party."
"Of course! I'm super exci-" said the scout before another scout lightly elbowed him causing him to go stiff "i mean, what surprise party?"
"That's the attitude" said Tate with a wave as he entered the stadium.
The moment Tate was out of sight, the two guards started arguing about spoiling the party.

"Hello, Bonesborough! Students ask me all the time 'principal Bump, what's the height of magical achievement?'-" said Principal Bump as he stood on stage
"Is it this?" Interrupted a student before drawing a magic circle and enlarging his head before accidentally crushing another student with it.
Bump cringed at the sight "Wow, i failed you as a principal" he said earning a few giggles from Tate. "It's being selected to join the best, and there are none better than the jewel of the coven system and the enforcers of his will; the Emperor's Coven"
At that moment, while some coven scouts rose to the stage from below, Tate noticed Luz in awe at the emperor's coven. He almost squealed from excitement upon seeing her and his...aunt, it's still weird to say that.
"Feast your eyes on this elite force. Each member hand-picked to help usher in a new age of controlled magic" Bump continued, prompting the coven scouts to show their magic off to everyone
"When does the elite force get here?" Asked Eda jokingly as she elbowed some guy next to her.
Tate fought the urge to say "Right behind you" with all his power.
"members of the emperor's coven have access to all, yes, all types of magic. Ooh, aah."
The crowd collectively copied Bump's "ooh, aah".
"But! Only the best can ascend these ranks. Someday, that could be one of you" Bump continued before pointing at Amity Blight causing her to squeal happily. "And now, i am pleased to introduce the esteemed leader of this coven and this year's mystery guest. You know her, you love her, Lilith!"
As Lilith made her flashy entrance, Tate pondered if he should wave to her to see her reaction. He knew it wouldn't be good. She disliked him and while he did like season 2 Lilith, he hated the current her. Even if you have work, at least say hi to your son on his birthday!
Begrudingly, Tate decided to not get his mother's attention no matter how tempting it was as it might get Eda's attention too.
As everyone applauded for his "mother's" entrance, Tate couldn't help but frown and be embarrassed by her flashiness.
"Thank you, all. It wasn't easy for me to rise to the top; i also started from humble beginnings. Now, i have the highest honor of enforcing the emperor's will. So, be more! The emperor's coven awaits you!"
Tate was even more embarrassed after hearing that.

"Ugh, how can looking at her do that be so embarrassing?!" Tate complained to himself. "At least it's over. Now. I gotta take this cloak off before that fanclub could see it."
A few seconds later, he regretted this decision. Later, however, he believed it was on of the best decisions he ever made.
"Lilith?" Asked an old sounding voice in hopeful tone
Tate went stiff upon hearing that. He turned to see who spoke and saw an old man with long white hair and beard, a scar over one of his eyes and multiple scars over one of his hands. On the old man's shoulder was a yellow bird palisman that looked a lot like the one that chooses Hunter in the future.
"You-" the old man couldn't finish before Tate covered his mouth on instinct.
Tate quickly realized how rude he just was and took his hand off the old man's mouth.
"Oh, I'm really sorry about that. Uhh, I'll explain everything"
The old man just stared at Tate in confusion .

"So those rumors about Lilith having a son are true." Said the old man with a smile, like he was glad this rumor was correct.
"Yes, and it seems like you knew her when she was my age. Actually, about that, do i really look like her that much?"
"Heheh" the old man laughed joyfully "if you had longer hair and glasses, i would've thought someone turned her back into a little witchlet"
The two were now sitting on a bench quite the distance away from everything else, chatting.
"...what's your relationship with...her?" Asked Tate curiously. The old man looked quite familiar, but he could put his finger on who that man was.
"It doesn't sound like you have a good relationship." Said the old man looking saddened.
Almost as if the emotion contagious, Tate didn't feel as good when he heard that.
"It's complicated...i was the result of a spell gone wrong, she never asked to have a kid...blargh! I don't even know why I'm defending her! It's all because of this stupid flesh prison!"
The old man gave him an odd look before he continued.
"I don't need her to like me, but this body wants her affection." Said Tate as he curled into a ball. "Like, it wants her to like me and be proud of me and stuff...and give me headpats. Is this...normal? Or am i just weird?"
The old man let out a chuckle before answering "no, that's normal"
"Ugh, now I'm depressed. Can we talking about something else?" Said Tate dropping unto his side while still being curled into a ball.
"Well, how about that sword?" Asked the old man pointing at the sword peeking out of Tate's bag "I saw some kids running around with swords talking about the silver scout being here. Would that happen to be you?"
"Yup, those fans are scary." Said Tate with a shiver before pulling out his sword. The sword was thin, light and was fit for both piercing and slashing (aka a rapier) "i actually made it myself. At first, i was only using a sword because of my condition-"
"Condition?" Asked the old man curiously
"Most spell i use don't have nice results. The only way i know how to use magic is by using it on a weapon. Thus starting an obsession with weapons, i even learned how to make them from scratch."
Tate didn't know why he was telling the old man all of this, but for some odd reason he felt like he could trust him and he felt so comfortable to talk to. There weren't any tricks or hidden meanings behind words; it was nice.
"I even started carving using a sword for whe-if i ever get the chance to make my own palisman."
For some reason, those words made the old man's eyes go wide before he smiled. Soon, after a moment of silence, the old man stood up.
"Wait, you're leaving already? Uhh, at least tell me your name." Said Tate as he say back normally
The old man smiled "I'm not leaving yet and my name is...Dell, Dell Clawthorne."
Those words made Tate go stiff, he finally recognized who the person in front of him was.
Tate face palmed at this revelation "You're my grandpa, aren't you?" He asked
"Yes...and i know i can't replace your mother, but-" said Dell before putting his hand on Tate's head causing him to let out a confused sound "-I'm proud of you."
Tate didn't know why it felt so nice to hear that from him. He couldn't even look him in the eyes as he said it.
"Now, may i have the honor of knowing my grandson's name?"
"Tate. It's Tate."
Soon after, Dell told Tate of what he needed to communicate with him when he wants. Tate jumped at the opportunity and agreed.
But before Dell could leave, he and Tate heard terrified screams coming from the covention.
"Don't worry, i think i have an idea about what's going on" said Tate as he put on his silver scout uniform "it should be over soon"
"Well, i hope we can meet again later" said Dell as he walked away "farewell, witchlet"
Under his mask, Tate smiled. Even if this world had been a cartoon once, right now it was a lot more to him.
And so, he made his way back to the covention to see a defeated Lilith.
xxXxx
"Don't you dare laugh" Lilith said angrily as she lied stomach first on the ground.
"S-sorry" Tate barely held in his laughter "it's just, wow"
"Yes, she tied my shoes. Shut up." Said Lilith angrily
"Want me to help?" Asked Tate cheerfully
"No thanks, i can help myself." Said Lilith angrily as she untied her shoes magically.
"Wow, rude."
"Why are you here?" Asked Lilith with a frown
"I was just hanging around and then i heard screaming. Looks like you had a rough time though."
"Save your sympathy, i don't need it" said Lilith as she walked out of the stadium.
Moments later, when Tate was alone in the stadium, he whispered to himself in a tired tone.
"Wow, i really can't wait for season 2 to come."
xxXxx
I don't know what his relationship with Hunter would be atm, so i have to ask: Do you want them to be friends, merely colleagues, or on bad terms? Tell me which is best.
Also, Dell was at the covention to ask Lilith about the rumor of her having a son and he confirmed the rumor by meeting the son himself.
Tell me how i did. Leave a review.
Toodles.
