Last time: They found Frey, but he got away.

Now: The 19th arrives to arrest J'onz.

Chapter 11- Reuniting with the 19th

The U-wing set down in front of them at the landing field. Around them, in addition to the four marshals that were guarding J'onz, were a contingent of well equipped militia members. Ones that were not on the list he provided. As the door slid open, revealing Scamp and Nova, Shades' voice called out. "Heard we had a shebs-head to pick up?"

"Hey Shades!" Viran called back, smirking. "That's right."

"Hey guys," Nova greeted with a smile.

"Good to see ya again," Scamp said as he stepped down from the ship. "J'onz. I'm disappointed." He said past them to the prisoner.

"Who asked you, Clone?" J'onz bit back.

"He's in a good mood," Scamp mumbled sarcastically.

Oppie smirked as he swept past. "Good to see all of you guys again. This is Kait, she's another marshal." He said introducing her.

"Hi." Kait said, to everyone. She hadn't interacted with any of these people since she had gotten to Caranas about the time the 19th was leaving last time.

"I remember you from Nivon. Congrats on the promotion," Scamp said as he extended a hand out to her. "Hope these three weren't too much trouble."

"Ha ha," Sasha said, rolling her eyes before going over and giving Nova a hug hello.

"If y'all will be so kind as to load the jerkwad into his assigned seat, and find seats for yourselves, I'll get the flight started before Bubbles cracks open the whiskey without us." Shades said as she chewed her gum.

Sasha and Viran were already on the process of climbing on board with Nova.

"Alright, alright," Scamp said. He turned to the officers holding J'onz. "I'll take him from here. Thanks."

They nodded and moved off. Scamp grabbed J'onz by the upper arms and roughly hauled him forward.

"Ouch, watch the shoulder. I was shot recently," J'onz hissed.

"And you are not in a position to negotiate at the moment," Scamp said, unamused. "Now you have the right to remain silent and I suggest you take it."

J'onz grumbled under his breath as Scamp hauled him on board. Once on the U-Wing, he sat him down roughly in one of the jumpseats before restraining in place.

"All aboard," Nova called to Oppie and Kait.

Kait eyed the transport a little nervously as she loaded aboard and found an empty seat between Nova and Sasha. Oppie was in between Viran and Scamp facing towards J'onz.

Shades flipped a switch, sliding the door closed. "This is your Captain speaking." She started as she took off. "We'll be arriving aboard the Defiant in fifteen minutes. If you look out the left you'll see the beautiful city of Caranas, and to your right is the scary forest where the Cartel's still…" She glanced over her shoulder. "You guys take care of that yet?"

"No." Oppie said.

"Where the cartel is still being a bunch of A-holes. Your inflight meal will be provided to you by the flight attendants who will soon be giving you a safety briefing, and your inflight entertainment will be watching an a-hole who sold us out squirm as he goes to meet his fate. Thank you for flying Shades Awesome Airways, we hope you have a pleasant flight. Flight attendants arm door guns for departure."

J'onz rolled his eyes at that.

Sasha chuckled at that before looking at Nova. "So are the others waiting for us when we get there?"

"Yup," Nova said. "They are all excited to see you guys again."

"Yeah, Cien looked a little queasy so the other Xiv's decided to stay shipboard." Shades said over her shoulder. "The rest of the 19th is gearing up to redeploy down here, but we figured we'd come down and grab you guys."

Kait watched out the observation slits as they started breaking orbit, only the third time she had ever left a planet and seen it recede like this, and being with this crowd she felt a little out of place. Sasha smirked at her.

"Cool," Viran smirked. "Thanks for the pick up, Shades."

"No problem Sport. How's the Forerunner doing? Any interesting mods lately?" Shades asked idly over her shoulder.

"Not really," Viran admitted. "Just minor repairs and maintenance. Been too busy looking into getting X-Wings."

"Wait, seriously?" Nova asked with a chuckle.

"Yup," Sasha answered, chuckling.

"You figured out a paint scheme yet?" Shades asked.

Viran sighed. "No. But now that we are gonna see Kyr and Cien, we can finally make a decision."

"Maybe we should wait until after we have dealt with the cartel," Sasha added.

"I dunno, having some fighters might be handy for taking out the cartel." Oppie said with a shrug.

"If you can call up a squad of new fighters before then, I'll be impressed," Scamp commented with a chuckle. "Anytime we need a new one, it takes weeks to arrive. Besides, we already have a squad of them ready. Just ask Hassen and Bubbles." He smirked.

"Few minutes 'til we land." Shades called out.

"Finally," J'onz grumbled, apparently tired of all them talking.

Scamp rolled his eyes at him before looking at the others. "Hang tight. We're almost there."

"Aww, hey that's nice. They came to welcome us." Shades said, looking out the cockpit as she brought them in for a nice, smooth landing on the flight deck. "Thanks for flying Shades Airways. We hope to see you again real soon!" She dramatically flipped a switch that opened up the side door.

Kyr was standing there with Cien, who was in a long sleeved utility shirt and the more comfortable cargo pants she had borrowed, and they were standing there with Wynnie. Cien looked like she was having to contain being excited, which was an interesting sight. Kyr was smirking at her for how excited she seemed. There was also a small contingent of Marines there, waiting to take J'onz into custody and lock him away in the brig.

Scamp got up and started removing J'onz from his seat. Viran undid his safety belt and started climbing out. Sasha, however, practically ripped out of her seat and rushed over to Cien. She was so happy to see her sister again and doing alright. She hugged her.

"Hey! It's so good to see you guys," Sasha greeted excitedly. "How are you doing?" She asked, smiling.

"Good." Cien said, hugging her tightly. "You?"

"A little banged up, but I'm fine," Sasha assured her as they pulled away. "What's with the clothes?"

"Oh, the flight suit is getting a little uncomfortable since it was so well tailored." Cien replied. "Still fits but not quite so comfortably anymore." She said with a smirk. She glanced over Sasha's shoulder and J'onz being offloaded, and she smirked at him as well, albeit far, far more darkly and maliciously.

J'onz met her gaze and instantly paled. He gulped nervously and averted his gaze down as a marine seized his arm from Scamp. Cien snorted in evil laughter, as did Kyr catching the look between them.

Sasha glanced over at that then back to Cien, getting back on topic. "Well it won't fit for a while unless you get a special flight suit," she teased.

"Hey Kyr, Cien," Viran greeted as he approached.

"Hey Sport, have a good flight?" Kyr said.

"Definitely," Viran said, complimenting Shades' flying skills. "How are you guys?"

"Doing good." Kyr replied.

"Hi Viran!" Cien said, taking him in a tight hug.

"Hey," Viran chuckled. "How are you and twins?" He asked her.

"Good." Cien said, stepping back. "Where's O…" She started to say, as she saw him leading Kait down the ramp. Her eyes widened and then narrowed suspiciously as she saw them together, and she hid a smirk, falling behind her flat facade as best she could.

Kait was looking around the huge hangar, never having been aboard a ship like this before as she followed Op. "Man, this place is huge." She said, looking around at all the fighters and activity.

"They have four more." Oppie said they walked up to the group. "Hey guys."

"Hi Op." Cien said, very calmly. "And it is nice to see you again, Kait."

"Nice to see you, too. Hello." Kait said to Cien, then Kyr.

"Hey Cap, nice to see you again." Kyr said, looking between her and Op, and then down to Cien, wondering what was going on. "I know it's morning down there but it's near to dinner time aboard ship, you guys feel like joining us?" He invited.

"Sure. I could eat," Sasha said with a shrug.

"You promised to check in with Kelce, remember?" Viran reminded her.

She sighed. "Right. I'll meet you guys there then. Just make sure to save me a seat."

"Let's go, hun," Viran said, placing a hand on the small of her back and guiding her over to where Kelce was talking with Scamp and Nova.

"Hey Kelce," Sasha greeted as they approached the group.

"Hey Sasha. It's great to see you again! How are you feeling?" Kelce beamed at her.

"Better, but I got a little banged up on our recent investigation," Sasha said, a little bashfully. "I promised Op and Vir that I would check in with you since we were meeting up."

"Well we can definitely do that," Kelce said. He looked to Nova and Scamp. "I'll meet you guys at dinner then." He placed a gentle kiss on Nova's forehead before he moved off to lead Sasha and Viran away.

"See ya later," Nova called after them.

Sasha and Viran waved back at them before following Kelce. Once they were out of the hangar, Kelce glanced down at Sasha.

"So what happened?" Kelce asked curiously.

"We were tracking a Lieutenant of the cartel to a cabin in the woods. When we got there, he was ready for us. He nearly ran me over with a swoop bike and blew the cabin up," Sasha explained.

Kelce snorted at that. "That's a bit extreme, but okay. Are you alright?" He asked Viran.

"Yeah, me, Oppie and Kait were able to get away with nothing more than a few bruises," Viran said then scowled. "But that jerk nearly got her killed."

Kelce placed a hand on Viran's shoulder. "It's okay, Viran. What matters is that you are both all alright."

After a few moments, they arrived at the medical wing. Kelce led them into one of the recovery rooms and patted the bed.

"You know the drill," He said as he walked over to grab a scanner.

Sasha nodded and climbed onto the bed. Viran sat down on a nearby stool as she carefully removed her jacket. Kelce came back over and ran the scanner over her. After a moment, he looked up from it.

"It looks like you're okay. No broken bones or concussion. Just looks like it's all minor," he said, simply. "I'll give you some pain meds for the cuts. But other than that, you should be okay. Though I will replace all of these bandages with some bacta patches so they can heal faster."

"Thanks Kelce," Sasha said gratefully.

He nodded and went to grab the supplies. When he came back, he started working on replacing the bandages with clean ones.

"So how are you doing?" Kelce asked, a bit more seriously after a moment.

Sasha knew what he meant and looked down. Viran frowned at that, worried about her. "Better, honestly. My family's constant support and help really got me through all of that. But…" she sighed. "But I admit, I'm still shaken from the whole thing. I don't have the nightmares much anymore. And occasionally, my shoulder will just throb as if to constantly remind me. And my leg is a little sore, but I'm alright. However, I had a hard time trusting those that are new around me."

"Well that's all completely fair after everything you have been through," Kelce started. "But I'm happy to hear you are doing better. Just remember to take it easy and go at a reasonable pace. Everyone is here to help you. Well, except for that traitor you guys arrested." He joked. Sasha smirked. He continued. "But seriously, if you need anything just let us know."

"I truly appreciate everything you have done for me and my family, Kelce," Sasha said, smiling gently. "I don't know how to thank you."

"You're more than welcome. And you don't need to pay me. That's what the NR is for," He chuckled. Viran and Sasha smiled at that. "Just don't stop being yourself and our friend, and I think we are even."

"Deal," Sasha said, smiling now.

That made Viran smile too. Happy to see his wife back to normal.

"I don't want to intru-" Kait started to say as Kyr and Cien led her and Op down the corridor.

"You can sit with Sasha and me, it'll be fun!" Cien said, interrupting her.

"Okay." Kait said with a shrug and a slight smirk. She glanced at Op who was studiously looking away, and she tried to hide a small smile.

"So other than finding out that shabuir was playing for the other otherside, what have you guys found out?" Kyr asked Kait and Op.

"Not a lot, really. We've made progress but not a lot. We might have a break, though." Oppie said.

"Oh?" Cien asked.

"Viran was able to get a tracker on a cartel lieutenant, Frey. I think Sasha mentioned you met him." Kait said.

Cien furrowed her brow. "Who?" Cien asked, trying to remember anyone from the cartel she had met who wasn't dead.

"Sasha and I first encountered him, this time, at a nightclub. She approached and seemed very friendly with him." Kait said.

Cien thought for a moment. "Was he the guy that we got drunk so he would tell us where Cordova was?" She asked.

"Sounds about right." Kait said with a shrug.

"You got some guy drunk to get information out of him?" Kyr asked Cien a little curiously.

"Mostly Sasha did. I just tried to sit at her side and look... alluring." Cien replied, her eyes narrowed a little bit.

Kyr glanced down at her. Dying with curiosity as to what that meant but not sure he wanted to know the details.

"That's about what our plan was." Kait said, trying not to snicker.

"So Viran got a tracker on him?" Kyr asked a little uncomfortably, trying to change the topic.

"Yeah." Oppie replied, "he was heading north on a swoop bike yesterday and into the night. He stopped to camp in the middle of the forest but we decided to see where he kept going in the morning. He took off again a few hours ago, and Ceros is tracking him."

"Any idea where he's going?" Cien asked.

"He's heading towards Cerrasses," Kait supplied, "a town to the north or Caranas."

"What's there?" Kyr asked.

"Nothing. Sasha, Viran and I checked the town out a few days ago. Other than candy it just seemed like a sleepy little town." Oppie explained.

"Candy?" Cien asked, confused.

Oppie hid a smirk that Cien would react to that. "What led us there originally was a candy wrapper we found in…" he paused, "in the trash of the office of a high ranking cartel member."

Kait glanced at him with a slightly confused look at the way he described it. He glanced back at her, and she decided to ask him about it later.

"Well that's a lucky break." Kyr said, and Oppie held back a sigh of relief. "Was it any good?"

"Was what any good?" Oppie asked, a little confused.

"The candy?" Kyr clarified.

"Oh, yeah it was good. There was a zherry liqueur truffle that I really liked." Oppie answered.

"Really?" Cien asked, looking back at him with a piqued interest.

"I liked the vanilla truffles." Kait said with a grin as she looked at the corridors of the ship, and pointedly not at Op.

Oppie glanced at her and looked away. Cien caught the look and was very, very curious.

"Did you get me any?" Kyr asked, looking back at them.

"No, sorry, we weren't sure what you'd want." Oppie said, answering.

Kyr scoffed, turning back forward. "My own brother has no idea what kind of candies I'd like."

"Don't worry cyar'riduur." Cien said, brushing his arm with her hand comfortingly. "I know the answer is all of them."

"Exactly." Kyr said poutingly.

Kait and Oppie both glanced at each other with a roll of their eyes. Then realized what they were doing and looked away.

They walked into the canteen, and Kait was a little surprised to see the space. She'd been expecting a cafeteria type setting, not something that looked like it belonged on a luxury space liner.

"I'll go grab us a table." Kyr said as he wandered off to see if he could find seating for six. Or eight, he supposed.

"I'll meet you there, then." Cien said.

"Yep, anything meat sounds good." Kyr said over his shoulder.

Cien smirked slightly and rolled her eyes. Then turned back to Op and Kait and tried to hide the smirk that they brought to her as well. "Pick whatever you want. The fare here is surprisingly good." She said to Kait, looking at the choices.

"What do you recommend?" Kait asked, looking at the row of cabinets and trying to think of what to get. They had been approaching lunch time before they finally got underway planet side, and she had skipped breakfast this morning in the boring excitement of watching the tracker move across the map.

"Salads, grilled chicken." Cien said, trying to remember, "those cheese filled fried peppers are quite good."

"Hmmmm…" Kait said.

"I like the meatloaf." Oppie suggested, grabbing that dish.

Kait looked at the choices and took a plate of what looked like some sort of pasta dish with a cream sauce and grilled chicken… or some other kind of bird.

Cien took a plate of hearty looking stewed meat with vegetables, and Oppie was a little surprised to see her with a plate of grilled steak and a small bowl of pickles precariously balanced on it. "Need some help?" He asked.

"Yeah, if you could grab me a bowl of the vanilla ice cream I'd appreciate it." Cien said, sweeping past him towards the table. Oppie looked curiously at her as she passed and blinked a little.

Kait walked to his side. "Is she pregnant?" She jokingly asked.

"Yeah." Oppie said, moving off to the dessert cabinet.

"Oh." Kait said, blinking. She walked over to peruse the choices next to him.

"What looks good?" Oppie asked, taking the vanilla ice cream for Cien.

"Chocolate. The darker the better." She said, reaching for a slice of cake and heading for the table after she glanced at him. Oppie subtly nodded as he took note of her preferences and followed her back. Oppie paused for a moment as they approached the table that Kyr had secured, remembering this was where they had sat when Kyr had been captured, and Oppie had met the others after he'd been released from the sickbay. Cien was sitting in the same seat she had then, and he smiled a little, seeing Kyr sitting in the chair that had been empty next to her, then.

"Kait, I saved you a seat." Cien said as she gestured at the other one next to her, as promised.

"Thanks." Kait said, setting her two dishes down as she lowered herself into the chair.

Oppie deposited Cien's desert and went to sit down next to Kyr. "So how did your mission go?"

"Good, for the most part I suppose." Kyr answered. "The first planet we went to, the raiders had skipped. They attacked the next one. The Defiant and part of the 19th went to the next planet after that, and we went to the second next." Kyr said, waiting to dig into his pot roast until Sasha and Viran arrived.

"How did you know which planets they were going to?" Oppie asked.

"They were visiting the same planets that I visited during my time I spent in research." Cien said, cutting a pickle with her knife. "In the same order." She said a little troubled.

Oppie looked at her across the table. "That is weird, did you figure out why?" He asked.

"No." Kyr said.

"It's possible that they may have taken navigation logs from my ship, somehow." Cien said, "maybe some of the imperial forces that were from my empire escaped and had that information." She said, unconvinced.

Kait glanced at her when she said empire and shot a glance at Oppie. He was just considering what she said.

"So were the raiders imperial remnant?" Oppie asked.

"No." Cien said. "Mercenaries. The cartel had hired them."

There was a moment of silence at that.

"Cordova was ISB, though, right?" Kait asked.

"Yes," Sasha voiced as she and Viran approached the table. She was carrying a plate of the same dish Kait had grabbed while Viran had a plate of grilled fish and rice.

"Also sorry we're late," Viran added as he sat down next to Op. Sasha down between him and Kait.

"No problem, we basically just sat down, to. Everything okay?" Cien asked.

"Yeah. Just got a few scrapes and bruises. Nothing serious," Sasha assured her.

"Sounds like you had fun then." Kyr said with a smirk.

"You could say that," Sasha said with a snort before taking a bite of her food. "So you guys were talking about Cordova?" She asked, putting them back on topic.

"Yeah, we were just talking about the raiders." Cien said, "they were hired by the cartel to raid the temples. It looks like they were looking for something in the reliquaries."

"Still haven't figured out why." Kyr said with a frown as he picked at his pot roast. "The only thing I can think of is to sell them, but as priceless as Sith artifacts might be, a smash and grab job is just a one time source of revenue, and probably not a lot in the grand scheme of things, considering what they're used to cash flow wise."

"What about inquisitors?" Oppie asked, frowning. "If Cordova is ISB, and he has ties back to the remnant, could it be possible that one of them is involved in the cartel?"

Kyr thought for a moment. "I think they all died. The rebel cell on Lothal tangled with them quite a bit." He went quiet, "I guess we could ask our little dar'manda friend there if they heard any rumors." Kyr said, almost spitting the thought out.

Cien looked over at him, not quite sure who he was speaking of.

"It may not hurt to look into it, but if my tracker works then we can just ask Cordova ourselves," Viran said with a shrug.

"Well we can just add it to the list of things we need to talk to him about," Sasha said, poking at her food. "Let's just hope he is in a talking mood."

"Oh, between us I am sure we can get the necessary information." Cien said with a bit of an evil smirk.

Sasha smirked slightly at that as she glanced at her. "Yeah I guess so."

"Speaking of which, is there any update on the tracker?" Viran asked, glancing between Oppie and Kait.

"Nothing we've heard." Oppie said.

"If he was heading to Cerrasses he's still several hours away. It's a long ride by swoop bike." Kait observed.

"Damn, okay," Viran said before taking a bite of his food.

"Don't be beaten up by it, hun. Your quick thinking on the tracker may give us Cordova or at least our biggest break yet," Sasha said, encouragingly.

"Yeah." Kyr agreed, "if we can follow him into some cartel headquarters that seems like a major break."

"I hope so, but thanks guys," Viran said, smirking.

After a bit of quiet as people ate, Sasha looked over at Cien. "So when we were in the hangar earlier, I thought I saw someone meet up with Scamp. Kind of a younger guy. Was that the Lieutenant Troy you mentioned before?"

"Yep." Kyr said. Glancing at Cien, since he hadn't mentioned Troy to her. She was smirking.

"And he likes Wynnie?" Sasha asked, smirking.

Viran nearly spat his drink of water. "Wait, someone has a crush on Wynnie?" He asked before looking around for this mysterious Lieutenant.

"Yes." Cien said, a little defensively for her friend, even though she grinned. "Though I am not sure she has figured it out."

"No," Kyr said, shaking his head. "Even with Lieutenant Obvious."

Viran chuckled at that.

"I'm sure she will in time," Sasha said, smiling. "Wynnie's a smart girl."

"About most things, yes." Kyr said with a slight chuckle.

"So, Kait." Cien started, "how has your new position been?" Cien asked, speaking of crushes.

Kait swallowed the bite she took. "It's been... Quite an experience," she said. "A lot of the frustrations that were mounting though make sense after what we found out about J'onz."

"I can imagine." Kyr said, "Scamp said he was quite a shabuir. Definitely was when I talked to him."

Kait blinked at the word.

"It means something like as-" Oppie started.

"I can guess from context." Kait said with a slight smirk. "Yes. He was." She said, since she could finally say it about him without defaming a higher ranking officer. "The last week or so with these three has been kind of fun, though." She admitted, gesturing to Oppie, Sasha and Viran.

Viran and Sasha smiled at that.

"Yeah it has been fun," Viran agreed. "You've been super helpful and an amazing part of the team."

"I second that," Sasha nodded.

"Definitely." Oppie said in agreement.

"That's great to hear." Cien said, nodding.

"So if we find Cordova and wrap this whole thing up here soon, what will you do next?" Viran asked, curiously to Kait.

"I'm not sure, I guess it depends on what the marshals service will assign to me." Kait replied with a shrug.

"Once this assignment is wrapped up you'll probably have your pick of assignments." Kyr observed.

"I only became a marshal a month and a half ago." She replied, not so sure.

"Seniority doesn't really matter, just results." Kyr replied. "When we take the cartel down, you're going to have your choice of what to move on to afterwards."

Kait glanced from Kyr to Op next to him, and saw him looking at her, and she glanced away. "That would be nice."

"We do a lot of work as marshals. Maybe you can work with us more?" Cien suggested, catching the look.

"Yeah that would be fun," Sasha seconded that. Even Viran gave an encouraging smile at that. Neither of them saw the look, they were too busy looking between her and their plates of food.

"Maybe." Kait said noncommittally, and not glancing at Op. "I guess we'll see."

"Well whatever you end up doing afterward, I hope it's just as exciting," Viran commented. "Or more so." He chuckled.

"And if you ever need back up, you can call on us," Sasha said.

"Admittedly something less exciting might be nice after this." Kait said with a slight laugh.

"That's fair," Sasha agreed. "Admittedly, I'm thinking kind of the same for myself. I'm looking forward to going home and doing something less exciting for a while after everything we've been through."

Viran nodded, solemnly in agreement. It had been a heck of a year already and it hadn't even been a year yet.

"Hear hear." Kyr said.

"Yeah, something less exciting would be kind of nice for a while." Oppie said in agreement.

"A toast." Kyr said, lifting his glass, "to less exciting times."

Viran laughed at that but still raised his glass. Sasha did the same. "Hear, hear," they said in unison. Oppie and Kait raised their glasses in agreement, as did Cien before drinking to the toast.

"Though I'm not sure that we'll ever lack excitement." Cien said, looking down at the twins. She looked up at the others, "another toast, to what may yet be." Cien said, raising her glass.

Kyr smiled at that and raised his.

"Oh yeah. That's for sure," Sasha agreed to the never lacking excitement statement as she rose hers again. Viran did the same.

Cien didn't miss the glance that Op and Kait shot each other before quickly averting their gazes during the toast. She smirked evilly.

"So how has it been the two of you investigating together?" Cien asked Kait and Op.

They both blanched slightly. "Oh, it's been fun." Kait said.

"Yeah," Oppie agreed.

Sasha shot Cien an amused glance, but held her tongue. But she did say via their bond, Leave them alone, in an almost teasing tone.

Viran just tried to hide a smirk behind his fork full of food and failing slightly.

Cien glanced at Sasha and hid a smirk. "That's good. Having people that make work fun is always helpful." Cien stated.

"Yes, it was a nice change of pace from J'onz." Kait said smoothly.

"I do wish I could have met him properly, in person." Cien said with a very evil smirk.

"Well, you kind of did," Sasha said, smirking, as she tapped the side of her head.

"Plus he is in the brig right now if you want to get acquainted," Viran said in a slightly joking tone.

"I might go visit him, then." Cien said maliciously. "Perhaps see if he's hiding anything from us, still. I just love finding anything that people try to keep hidden from me." Cien said as she took a bite of her pickle to go with her ice cream. She shot a subtle glance between Kait and Op.

Kait glanced at her with that. "What exactly did you guys do to him?" She asked.

"We visited a memory he didn't like. And I just kind of roughed him up with the Force a little. Mainly just tried to scare him." Cien said with a shrug.

"After that, he told us everything," Sasha finished.

"So not just for baked goods, then?" Kait asked Op with a smirk.

Oppie looked at her and blanched a little.

"What?" Kyr asked.

"Op finally showed me what the Force could do, but he clarified it could only be used to move baked goods, like cookies and brownies and things." Kait said with an impish smirk and enjoying the way Oppie was all but squirming in his seat.

"Did you really?" Viran asked, chuckling after.

"It can definitely do more than move baked goods, but that is a handy trick," Sasha teased with a giggle.

"But that is definitely the most important Force ability." Cien said, she smirked at Op as he half hid his face in his palm, looking at the others.

Kyr looked between the others at the table and then over to Op. "I'm still feeling a little peckish, want to go pick some dessert with me?" He asked his older-younger brother.

"Sure." Oppie said, getting to his feet as Kyr stood.

Kyr cast a look at Cien before they walked away, and she just looked away with an innocent look on her face.

"So Kait's nice." Kyr observed innocently after a moment, as they walked over to the dessert cabinet.

"Yes." Oppie replied flatly.

"Also pretty smart." Kyr observed, again.

"Yes, she's very intelligent." Oppie replied.

After a moment, Kyr spoke again. "You should ask her out. You know, on a date." He suggested, very innocently.

Oppie just turned his head and glared at him.

HAHA! REVIEW!
