Part.2 What was left behind
Approaching Earth: The Sole system
On board the Andromeda accendent the last of the high guard ships has dropped out of hyper space near Saturn. Dylan, the crew with Gordon Freeman are prepared for anything that will come their way and are ready for action.
Rommie the ships A.I scans for any activity, but found nothing and Gordon used his dimension scanners from hospital suit to detect any Combine activities or transmissions, but found nothing.
The ship navigated through the astroid belt and passed by Mars, no life was on the planet either. Old radio and television broadcasts were picked up that was from the 1960's or 70's then the ship approached Earth.
The original Earth and not third Earth.
By the looks of the planet it looked lifeless.
The Andromeda remains positon over the planet in a standard orbit.
"Scans show ever city destroyed, trees and vegetation non existent." Said the A.I
"Looks like a great battle occured here a long time ago," said Tyr
"My suit has detected a power source barely active." Said Gordon
"Confirmed," said the A.I "Some kind of base located near a dessert."
"Ah, Area 51 base." Said Gordon
"Let's go down and look for answers." Said Dylan
Ruins of Area 51
The shuttle lands upon an air strip like space port, and Gordon along with Captain Dylan Hunt got out of the shuttle. Dylan has a suit on as it is very dangerous out here and then scanned for the power source which it is coming from a large hanger.
So they headed there and opened the door to head inside. Inside is dark until Gordon found a light switch and everything turned on, but no one is here or around in a long time.
It was a long search until Gordon found a working computer that has video messages to playback, which he played back into showing an image of a general in uniform.
"If you or any explorer is listening to this," said the man "We created a portal technology, but an account let loose to armies fighting one another upon our world."
This moves to footage showing two forces Gordon reconized The Combine and the Kromaggs in a battle upon this world.
"The entire planet was being decimated by these forces, but certain governments had the arc ships on standby just in case of a world wide disaster." he added more. "Some escaped the planet, while others were shot down."
Gordon figured the U.S.S arc made it to Third Earth
"However we needed help in a form of a distraction," said the man "That is what those beings came into the fray, the ancient spirts of evil and good, a deal was made...as I make this recording they are doing something now."
"I will be leaving what remains of humanity," said the man "And please don't make the same mistakes as we did."
The video ends.
"Guess it solves the mystery," said Dyan
"It does," nodded Gordon "I will take you back to your dimension now."
Cats lair: Third Earth
Gordon had come to Cats lair in which he informed them what he and Dylan had found on the original, they were horrified to know now and Mumm-ra has been watching the conversation, but he dared not ask the ancient spirts of evil about this matter.
Then Gordon finished telling then and left as his journey continues, for he activates a portal from his suit as a portal opened up and he steps through it, both vanished into thin air.
