Chapter 1, Mega man x.
For decades a terrible war known as the Maverick wars has raged on, the cause of this war was a dangerous computer virus that causes Reploids (robots with the ability to think and feel like humans) to go insane and attack humans.
To combat this a group called the Maverick hunters was formed to destroy any out of control Reploids and maintain peace, out of all of the Maverick hunters there was two who stood out as the most powerful and skilled X and Zero.
X and Zero fought against the Mavericks and their leader Sigma for many years, however no matter how many times that Sigma was defeated he would only return in a new body.
Finally Sigma launched his most devious plan of all, Sigma took control of a large space colony called Eurasia and set it on a collision course with Earth, the resulting crash would likely destroy all life on the planet.
While the Maverick hunters was able to destroy most of Eurasia the remaining debris still hit the planet causing severe damage.
X and Zero then confronted Sigma and after a fierce battle Sigma was defeated but Zero was destroyed in the proses.
After this X took up Zero's sabre and continued to fight for peace and justice, after some time X was joined by a new Reploid named Axl, Axl proved to be a valuable member of the Maverick hunters and a loyal friend.
However X and Axl's partnership was not to last, a new enemy Lumine who was a next generation of Reploid make an attempt to destroy all Reploids of the previous generations.
Lumine's plan failed but he was able to enact a second plan, one that almost tore the Maverick hunters apart from the inside and cost Axl his life.
X continued to protect the world and after many years a new peace was finally achieved thanks to the creation of the Cyber elves.
Cyber elves are a type of sentient computer program made out of pure energy, the Cyber elves could achieve great things with their abilities, however doing so would use up their energy causing them to die, it was thanks to the Cyber elves that the Maverick virus was finally destroyed.
However this peace was completely broken when a new and far more bloody war was started by a mad scientist who's name has been lost.
The Elf war claimed many lives wiping out 75% of all sentient life and ravaged the planet leaving most of the Earth's surface uninhabitable for humans, this forced the remaining population to live in a domed city called Neo Arcadia that would provide them with breathable air.
To many Neo Arcadia was a utopia, but to others it was something very different.
