Izuku's POV
People were moving around him towards computers. Some of them glanced at him funnily but for the most part left him be. For his part Izuku wasnt watching them. Instead he was watching the electromagnetic signals. He was watching the cameras in where there were a group of criminals heading towards the warehouse districts.
Moving his hand to the left he swiped through the cameras. He wanted to make sure that there werent any other criminals joining the group. No one was joining the group from the street level.
Shifting the focus of the signals to those of cellphone signals he found that there were three in warehouse. That made five criminals meeting in total. It only took a few seconds to hack into their phones and pull the data into the stream of signals.
From there he opened the laptop in his lap and shifted the signals to add the information into his drives. They went into a file made specifically for this particular group. He had been tracking them for three days now and finally he had enough information to hand over to Tsukauchi and Eraserhead. He opened their chat.
How to Annoy your favorite coffee addicts
Clover: Sent a location
Clover: Also sent a file to both of your emails on the information we gathered on them.
Sleepyhobo: Shouldnt you be sleeping?
Clover: I dont have to teach a class of kiddies in the morning. So shouldnt you?
Detectcoffee: He got roped into hero week since he expelled all of his students.
Detectcoffee: Clover seriously though why aren't you in bed? Its past three in the morning.
Izuku glanced around the internet cafe before he replied.
Clover: Sleep is for the weak. Besides I needed to get the information before these guys moved hideouts again.
Sleepyhobo: If I catch you or the others out tonight I'm taking you in.
Clover: I'll take that as a challenge Eraser. You've never seen me.
Clover is now offline
Detectcoffee: And they're gone again.
Sleepyhobo: Maybe he will stay off the streets tonight. Are you on your way to the site?
Detectcoffee: Yes we are on our way. Be safe.
Detectcoffee and Sleepyhobo are now offline.
That was interesting to say the least. However he could not stay here because no doubt the heroes were out looking for him. Tuning into the signals around him he listened for the familiar chatter of hero comms.
Packing up his laptop he moved through the cafe. This was one of his favorite places to hang out in. Even when he wasnt acting as a vigilante he could usually be found in it. The owner of the cafe was a quirkless man who's wife had a strong mental quirk. They had taken a liking to him the first time he had come in to test how well his quirk would work with so many electronics nearby.
They kept the cafe open at all hours only closing it once a month to do restocking of supplies. The best part was that they allowed anyone into the cafe. It didnt matter what quirk you did or did not have.
There were only three rules. First was no fighting in the cafe. If you had an issue you took it outside. Second vett anyone you bring into the cafe. Despite the business itself being legal they didnt want heroes snooping around. Too many used the cage as a sort of hiding spot. Izuku included.
The third and final rule was what happened in the cafe stayed in the cafe. No exceptions. If you broke the rule and the owners found out you would be banned for life. It was a sanctuary to all who decided to use it. No matter what kind of life you lived.
He had to wonder how many of them suspected what he was doing. The quirk he had was unique and if one knew what to look tor they could tell when he was using it. It was called System. His quirk allowed him the ability to see and manipulate electromagnetic signals.
Many people including his ex best friend thought his quirk was useless. His mother hated him because his quirk didnt match her's or his father's. His father left not long after it manifested saying that his mother had cheated on him.
Some part of him knew it wasnt just his quirk that they hated. Inko Midoriya tried to claim that the soul parent mark of a clock always set an hour ahead, was on his left bicep. As naive as he was that lie didnt hold up forever. The older he got the more he realize it was impossible for that to be hers. Nothing about her matched the mark.
Most people only had two soulmarks. One being their soulmate and the other being their soulparent. On a rare occasion a person would be born with more but it was more common to be born quirkless.
His soulmate mark was a black cat with red eyes and tape like object around its neck. It was set directly over his heart. Sometimes Izuku would look at it and wonder if his soulmate would actually want him.
His final mark was on his neck it was a lot larger than the other two. It was a black leopard with onyx eyes stretched out across the right side of his neck. Just one more thing that made him strange and gave his bullies more ammunition against him.
Shaking his head from the depressing thoughts he left the shop heading for home. A quick message to the others in his merry band of misfits later had them all calling it a night. Sword and Shield would be heading back to their foster families while Mirror would close down the warehouse.
Sneaking into his house through his window was easy. His mother was either working late again or she was asleep. He highly doubted it was the former. Izuku barely saw his mother most of the time. She was either at work or with friends. The only time he ever sought her out was when they were running out of food.
His room was very bare given that he was thirteen. There wasnt any hero merchandise that he had when he was younger. When he decided to get a laptop he sold all of his merch to pay for it.
Izuku placed his laptop on the desk by his bed. Then he pulled off his hoodie and crawled into bed. He felt like he would sleep forever.
Sadly it only lasted for three and a half hours. A blaring alarm woke him up at six thirty. Bone deep exhaustion filled him as he pushed himself up. It only took him a few moments for him to change into his school uniform.
A frown crossed his face as he remembered what today started. Hero week. One week a year heroes and police would come to Middle Schools. Growing up he had enjoyed hero week as new merchandise coincided with the week. Now it was just a time to hide and pretend he didnt exist.
As soon as Izuku had eaten he was out the door with his bag and laptop. A short run later found him walking up to the middle school at the same time as Kavar and Shinsou. He had to wonder what the heroes would think if they found out three of the four vigilantes went to the same school.
Probably would have a heart attack at the thought. Shinsou was their sword a quick thinking fighter who only recently joined up with the group. Izuku had gotten caught on the wrong side of town over a year prior and had been mugged. Shinsou found him bleeding out after he tried to fight back. An explanation and a promise of training later had started them on the path of friendship.
Kavar Karasu was his best friend and partner in crime. They had known each other since primary school. When everyone turned their backs on him because of Bakugo, Kavar stayed. Their quirks were considered weak but together they were strong. He was Shield the protector of the group.
Hatsume Mei was the only one who didnt go to their school. She was able to get a full ride scholarship to a private middle school specializing in support. Kavar met her first since they lived near each other. She noticed him sneaking out for their vigilante activities and insisted she be allowed to join.
For whatever reason they all considered Izuku their leader. Kavar tried and failed to explain it once to him. Reluctantly he had accepted the role.
The only thing he currently considered good about hero week was that all the classes came together. Kavar and Izuku shared the same class while Shinsou was on his own. For the week they would all be in the same room. Which meant planning their nightly activities would be a little easier. As long as they kept it quiet at least.
Nezu's POV
It was a rare occasion that he left UA during school hours. However much like Aizawa, he was being requested to participate in hero week. The request had been last minute and something of a surprise. Detective Tsukauchi had made the request as he visited one of the smaller public schools.
Curiosity got the best of him and he agreed to go. Aizawa would be going the next day so it wasnt like the man would be getting out of it. No Aizawa was doing hero week whether he liked it or not.
Currently he was situated in the security room. Tsukauchi had convinced the principal of Alderra that he wanted a second pair of eyes on the students. To watch for potential candidates to train with one of them. Nezu saw it for what it really was. Tsukauchi was searching for someone and he thought that they were here.
