Well, 5 months later, and we are back! Sorry I was gone for a while, I caught the beer-bug again, but it was minor. The only thing that was off was I was tired most of the time, probably because my body was fighting whatever was in it. I also had been editing other stories and my YouTube channel when I finally got over it, as well as adopted a story from a friend, so that also ate away at some of my time.
Now that we have returned, lets take a closer look at Anthony's past, and let his unfiltered comedy ensue!… though it takes a bit of a dark turn…
From Robbeeyy:
Lemons, and How Far Are You Taking This Anyway, What's The End Plan For This?.
Bakuganman: Not too far, only a few chapters'. This is to explain some of Anthony's past and why he turned out the way he has. Remember, he had kind of an expensive lifestyle before his mommy and daddy went bye-bye, then he met Azazel. This will give mote clarity to how he changed into the OC we know and love; and WHY he decided to go to Kuoh Academy. It's also to serve as development for Rias and Anthony for their eventual lemon, which you'll see why towards the end of this small arc.
From 54godamora:
I'm sorry I had to skip this chapter. . . .and maybe drop this story because now time travel? I'm all for it because of Prehistoric Park but prehistory is the exception? I'm not mad just feel like my brain is fried, especially it feels like you are pulling off a trope of future kid meets her parents. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?
Bakuganman: As we discussed in PMs', the time traveling niece has been resolved as these are memories, but it is important as it serves as a turning point for Anthony and WHY he decided to go to Kuoh Academy.
From Guest (chapter 2):
italians are like us irish are just crazy lol must the latin and the celts are just mad lol tal3281
Bakuganman: Lol. Yes.
From Shiwftie (chapter 10):
1/4 Down, 3/4 to go for now. I thought leaving a review in this particular chapter would be much more effective as I did not want to hold any prejudice against you and this fic. First of all, the idea is sound and I appreciate it, but I think you may have forgotten the trope you're working on. Anthony is on his way to be a Gary-stu and from the looks of it, this ain't gonna change soon. I don't mean this by only looking at the battles you've spiced out in but the overall story.
Like, defeating Sona at chess, this part is completely wrong but I'll allow it. It would've taken at least preparation to do that, as in Canon nobody was able to beat her. I get it it's a Fanfic and you're free to do as you please, but you've said it in the beginning of the fic that you want him to not replace Issei but be a perfect substitute for him. Canon Issei would've been rekt in like, thirty moves.
Second, the most common issue that most of the fics have, Grammar and structure, and due to the fact that you've interspersed Italian into this make the fic hard to read. However, it's a nice idea and I think you can overcome this while experimenting on it. There are a few errors in each chapter I've read up until now that actually is salient and causes misunderstandings.
Third things third, I don't wanna say this but you'll regret making this particular mistake in the future. Rushing the relationships and the abnormal growth you've given to Anthony. Rias is already head over heels for him and Asia has already admitted loving him. These would prove to be mistakes as in the upcoming chapters you'll find difficulty to rightfully develop the ship without the use of forced dialogues and emotional stages overall.
I like the reference you've given in this chap as well. That's all I gotta say, until then, take care Bakuganman and think through.
Bakuganman: Thanks for the review, criticism, thoughts and concerns you left in it. I will admit in the beginning it does seem like Anthony becomes a Gray Stu, which has been said to me multiple times, but it does get better as time goes on. (I also address all of this in chapter 30 via an author note)
And thirty moves?… nah, Sona would reck him in 10. XD
For the Italian speech. Again, I will admit I went a little overboard at first… try to make something fresh and unique, ya know? While it is liked by the fambase I created, I have cut back on it in later chapters as it did become overbearing at times.
The relationships? yes, that also appears rushed, and I agree with you and others on that… ESPECIALLY with Rias… but there is a lore-related reason for it and why the girls like Anthony so fast, but I'll let the story itself do the talking. The only one who doesn't (and still doesn't in current chapters) is Koneko, and their dynamic has been praised by critics and fans alike.
Thank you very much for the concerns and pointers, and hope you'll stick around for the rest of the story. Of course, if you don't, that's up to you. Not gonna be the kind of writers that whine and bitch about it. If you have another review like this, please do leave it to help me improve! I really do appreciate it. Looking forward to more reviews like these!
From Shiwftie (chapter 40):
Finished reading all the way thru. I'll leave a review when I have spare time
Bakuganman: Ok, I'll be waiting.
From Guest (chapter 1):
Doesn't Anthony Messuri look like Saioraorg Bael from the same franchise since one is completely human being while the other is almost like human due to not possessing demonic powers
Bakuganman: Guess you can say they are similar, but Anthony has brown hair and eyes with a standard build. Bael is ripped and muscled with black hair and violet eyes, not to mention taller than him.
Season NEW - Chapter 15: Anthony's [Unofficial] High School Life - Yukitsuki's Secret
After Yukiha had his little "reunion" with the beautiful Russian girl, he was grilled with questions by the entirety of the class aside from his own friends. Even after class, word spread throughout the school like wildfire. While Yukiha and Anthony were walking the halls, they got mobbed by another crowd asking questions, some students talking over each other… seriously, both boys thought this only happened in anime.
"What's this, like; the 10th crowd?" Anthony muttered to Yukiha in a slightly annoyed tone. This has been going on all day, and it might have been funny at first; but after the 5th to 6th time it grew quite stale.
"It might be the 20th, I've lost count." Yukiha muttered by, using a similar tone to Anthony, who you could imagine felt allot worse as he was the intended target of these crowds.
"How did you know Mischa?!"
"She's so beautiful! Your so lucky!"
"Both of you were pretty bold back in class."
"Come on, man! What's your secret!"
The crowd asked, at least those were some of the only rapid-fire questions that could heard over the constant barrage of voices, and those were perhaps the nicest questions they've been asked. Yukiha sighed, though Anthony grew a few forehead veins, one popping up after another.
"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! Can you all PLEEEEASE give us some air?!" He said loudly, resisting the urge to say all of that in Italian. "Seriously? A guy can't reacquaint with an old friend with benefits without being jumped?! MOVE!" He ordered the crowd. It took a few seconds, but they did back off.
"Gee, thanks…" Yukiha said, not sure how to feel about that. He was glad people finally backed off, but did he really need the 'friends with benefits' part? He just got lectured by his teacher once he ordered Mischa to go to a seat, though thankfully he was brought to a separate office so it wasn't embarrassing, but Yukiha was mentally counting the minutes till they got back.
Then again, he brought it on himself considering he initiated the second kiss…
"Then again, its my fault." He added as he and Anthony walked away.
"Nah, your balls just grew 3 sizes," was Anthony's comment, to which Yukiha sweatdropped at. "Honestly, its like public affection freaks you people out."
"I don't think that's the reason…" Yukiha said, dryly. "I'm exhausted." He then sighed.
"What'd you both expect from a scene like that?" Said the voice of Mikiya, who walked up from behind them and joined them. "Good thing its Saturday though, huh?"
"Still don't get why you people bother coming in just to waste half the day." Anthony commented.
"The same reason your people eat nothing but grease and complain in Social Media everyday?" Mikiya asked.
"Can't deny that." Anthony said, now also using a dry tone. Seriously, what's been going on in American ever since he moved here? It was kinda embarrassing, and seeing he looked nothing like Americans' in pictures online, many people questioned if he was legitimately American sometimes. He wasn't overweight, nor did he complain every two seconds like his fellow Americans' did on the internet. It felt like he was the only rational one left…
"Hey, Yukiha?" Mikiya asked after the trio walked in silence for a bit.
"Yeah?" Yukiha answered.
"Was that your first time?" Mikiya asked, which was a very strange question coming out of a guys mouth to another guy. It was a genuine question as well. "You seemed… experienced…"
Both Anthony's and Yukiha's eyes widened slightly before they glanced at each other with those eyes. They couldn't tell him that Yukiha kisses his sister every morning, even if some people found that hot… not to mention she was also the school nurse… "Ha… no comment…" was Yukiha's answer, and thankfully it was dropped there. Yukiha would much rather die than admit that dirty little secret out loud, especially since many students held Haya in high regard.
"Fair enough. You seemed really close, almost too intimate to be just friends… was Anthony serious about friends with benef-…" Mikiya began to ask for clarification.
"NO!" Yukiha yelled. He then sighs, then looks at Anthony. "Why do you say stupid shit all the time?"
"At least not as often as Kazuhide." Anthony said. Neither Japanese boy could argue that point.
"Honestly, me and her are childhood friends. My family lived in Russia a few years ago, and me and her got pretty close… she was real upset when I had to leave…" Yukiha said, also recalling more about his past.
"Just like a puppy…" Anthony commented. Mikiya did snort, but recovered quickly. The Italian's timing was always on point.
"So, you two wanna hang out? Me and Kazuhide were gonna hit the arcade with the others." Mikiya invited them.
"AFTER his meltdown, right?" Anthony corrected, which Mikiya confirmed by his expression dropping. Kazuhide had an unhealthy habit of immediately falling for girls, not matter their shape and/or size… or age. He would always get turned down, and even when a girl did give him a chance, he'd ruin it in less than an hour and he'd get stood up. To be fair; he wouldn't try going someone very old or married, or underage thankfully, but if they were Milf and/or schoolgirl Waifu material…
"Aside from making pizzas all day, I'm good for a run." Anthony said.
"I'd li…" Yukiha began to say, but he was cut off by…
Mischa: Yukiha!
Out of nowhere; Mischa, like an extremely affectionate puppy, jumped out and wrapped her arms around one of Yukiha's; unaware of the effect it was having. She had DEFINITELY grown up in certain areas from what Yukiha remembered. If she dyed her hair red, and mix that with her cup size; you'd think she was Rias, although shorter in height.
"H-Hey, Mischa. What's up?" He asked her.
"Well, if this is a good time, I was wondering if you'd give me a tour of the campus…" Mischa asked in a sweet voice, then added with a cute blush; "That is, if your not too busy…"
"Uh…" Yukiha didn't know what to do, but was convinced by both Anthony and Mikiya too give it to her. "Yeah… guess I'll take a raincheck" he told them afterward. This is when Mischa took notice of the other two boys, as her attention was initially focused on Yukiha when she saw him. She glanced away from them as if she was shy.
Anthony: She is a fucking dog…
POW!
Anthony: Ow!
Anthony was elbowed by Mikiya for his comment, though thankfully Mischa wasn't paying attention to hear it. "I'm Mikiaya Amasaka. Yukiha's friend." Mikiya introduced himself to the shy Russian. This did appear to be a positive, as she regained part of her smile. Maybe it wasn't shyness, just uneasiness around other people she was unfamiliar with.
"And the American?" Mischa asked. Considering the history between their two countries which was practically world knowledge, it wasn't surprising she was wary.
"Mir moya ledi," Anthony smiled, saying 'peace my lady' in perfect Russian. "Haven't been part of them for a long time. Besides, what could I gain from attacking a pretty little thing like you?" He continued. This not only surprised Mischa, but Mikiya and Yukiha as well.
"You speak Russian?!" Yukiha asked in shock. He spoke it too, of course, but didn't expect Anthony too.
"Well someone in this family has too," Anthony said while folding his arms and closing his eyes, being humorous about it which also included the secret reason. Mischa also slightly warmed up to Anthony, for he didn't seem like anything her country described Americans'. Plus, he called her pretty, so that was a small bonus. "Not to sound like a generic protag, but any friend of Yukiha's is a friend of mine." Anthony continued. It didn't appear to do much else for Mischa, but would her Yukiha really befriend someone evil?
Anthony then smiled friendly, but Yukiha sensed a little more behind it. "Plus, he's talked about you nonstop."
"Wait, really!" THAT. Got Mischa's attention. And she sounded very happy about that. Yukiha was stunned at what came out of Anthony's mouth, considering that was not true…
"Oh yeah. Ever since I met him, he'd go on and on for hours about: oh, how I miss my dear Mischa. How I dream of seeing her again." Anthony lied some more in an overdramatic tone like a Shakespeare play in italics before Yukiha could cut him off, which to be fair sometimes Yukiha felt that way about Mischa, but he never said it. Anthony made it up on the spot, and was using it to form a connection to Mischa. Mikiya and Yukiha didn't know if they should laugh or cry.
It was smart though, they gave him that.
"That's not-…" Yukiha tried.
"And I would always say: why not introduce me, bro? I'd be honored to met her. And he's say: If I could, I would. You'd love her, Anthony. She's an amazing girl." Anthony continued his story, which got Micsha's eyes and a mouth to smile widely. Her eyes even took on sparkles with how happy she was getting.
"I really fucking hate you" mouthed Yukiha.
"Name's Anthony Messuri. Anthony's fine by the way, its nice to finally met you in person!" Anthony said, finishing up the lie that sounded so believable that it had to be true.
With his story, it appeared Mischa warmed up to the Italian. "It's really nice to met you too! And you too, Mikiya!" She said in a sweet voice. "You seem like really fun people! I'm glad I could meet you!"
"Yeah… Fun's the word…" Yukiha muttered.
"Cause 'F' is for Friends who do stuff together!~" Anthony trolled a little by singing. Immediately Yukiha and Mikiya rolled their eyes, though Mischa seemed fascinated by the song. "'U' is for You and M-!~"
POW!
This time, Mikiya punched Anthony on top of the head. "And 'N' is for Knock it off. We going or what?" He asked, calming himself down a bit. Anthony merely rubbed the top of his head and glared at the puncher.
"Fine." Anthony said, understanding the message. As they left, Anthony did look behind him to see the backs of the Japanese/Russian couple going in the opposite direction… more like Mischa was dragging Yukiha, which was cute. She clearly liked the guy and now had some time to be alone with him. He chuckled to himself as he turned back around.
As he did however, he saw Yukitsuki peeking behind a corner, but her attention was mainly focused on Mischa dragging Yukiha off. The pinkette had a sad expression on her face as she watched them go, which in turn did make Anthony feel sorry for her.
Anthony (Real World): I felt so bad for the girl. So I convinced Mikiya to also invite her and Man-Eater with us.
-TIME BREAK-
The memory skipped to the group of friends having a blast in the arcade, though only Mikiya, Kazuhide and Eri were seen. The trio didn't realize 2 people were missing from their group. The camera cuts to the front doors which automatically opened via electricity, and Anthony looks to the left then right to see Yukitsuki leaning on some railings on his right, looking down at the street. Anthony had noticed her leave the group a few minutes ago, but Yukitsuki had not returned so in genuine concern, he looked all over the complex until finally finding her outside.
"... I don't like that girl..." Yukitsuki muttered to herself, which Anthony heard as he approached her, but she didn't even notice him. She was lost in her own thoughts. Considering he spied her spying on Mischa and Yukiha, there was a good chance that's whom she was talking about. Part of Anthony did, and could, make a joke, but now didn't seem like an appropriate time at this very second.
"You ok?" He finally asked her and making his presence known, which did get Yukitsuki to look up quickly in shock.
"I'm ok." She said, trying to sound cheerful, but it wasn't working. Her tone was still very low as if depressed.
Anthony joined her by also leaning on the railings, also looking out into the distance. "Yuki… your great student…" He started, then turned his head to look back at her with a smile. "But a terrible liar." Yukitsuki didn't answer, just turned her slowly away. "Come on, slim. Tell poppy Tony what's bothering ya." He offered.
"Like you can help…" Yukitsuki said.
"Maybe not… but you shouldn't keep it bottled up either." Anthony said, which Yuki had to admit he had a valid point. She still didn't met his gaze however. "If you keep shit to yourself, it'll start eating you alive… believe me, I know…" Anthony offered a second time. He couldn't help but think that was a bit of projection on his part, seeing as he had his own demons he hasn't dealt with.
Yuki stay silent for a bit longer before finally giving in. "… Mischa…"
"Mischa?" Anthony repeated. So his suspicions were proven correct, it did have something to do with the sudden reappearance of Yukiha's long last childhood friend.
"… something doesn't feel right about her." Yukitsuki admitted.
"Really?" Anthony asked. "This one of those 'only girls can understand' things?" Even as he asked this, since Yuki and Yukiha have been friends for the longest time, he couldn't help but feel it was also jealousy, despite Yuki claiming to already have a boyfriend and 'sees Yukiha like a brother'.
"Guess that's one way to put it…" Yukitsuki said.
"Well, ya gotta forgive me… guy" Anthony said, then pointed to himself to make lite of himself. This did get Yuki to smile a tiny bit, but it wasn't enough to break her mood, though it was a start. "So how do ya figure? She seems nice; literally a Russian lapdog" he joked again, which got Yuki's smile to increase slightly in size again. Anthony can be a small-scale blowhard at times, but when it came down to it, he was always willing to listen and be an ear for someone to vent.
"I don't know," Yukitsuki said.
"You don't know?…" Anthony repeated, leaving him confused. Yuki had a problem with a girl but… didn't know the problem?… 'Damn. Women are complicated…' He thought to himself. "You wanna try figuring it out?" He suggested. "I mean, if you don't know; what's the point of being angry?" He asked while looking out towards the street, not realizing he just fucked up for Yukitsuki began to grip the bars of the railing with one hand subconsciously. "Cuz if we think about this logically, it would appear your jealous; which is also kinda weird as you already have a boyfriend, right?" He kept digging his grave even further, Yuki's grip on the bar tightening that you could swear she was on the verge of snapping it with how much her hand was shaking.
"If you told anyone else this, they'd…"
WHAM!
"OW!" Anthony moaned, feeling something smack the bottom-left side of his head. He was going to say 'If you told anyone else this, they'd get the wrong idea about you', but the sudden attack stopped him. He rubbed the location of it with one hand while looking back at Yukitsuki, as that were the impact came from. He noticed her full body was now facing him, she was looking down with her hair obscuring her eyes, both her fists were balled up and shaking, and she was gritting her teeth while taking quick breaths as if she was holding herself back.
The Italian also noticed a pebble on the ground that wasn't there before… did she throw that at him?
"Anthony… I'm gonna be very honest…" Yukitsuki said at a low volume but it was still loud enough for him to hear, probably to prevent herself from yelling with how distressed she looked. "You and Yukiha have been there for me, and while everyone else was wary of you at first, I'm glad to have met you…" she continued. "Your honest, you always give things straight; you can be funny at times, and you can be a great guy to be around, but…" she went on. Then finished with a raised voice. "Sometimes you can be such an ass!"
With that, Yukitsuki ran off. Anthony couldn't tell if she was shedding tears at that point, but her voice did crack at her final sentence. "Wait, Yuki! Hold on!" Anthony called out to her, but she either didn't listen or didn't hear him due to her own emotions. "*sigh*… Damnit." He sighed, knowing he fucked up. "Eri's gonna kill if she finds out…"
"Finds out what?" The camera panned to the side a little to show that Eri herself was behind Anthony with her arms folded. He flinched, not expecting to hear her voice, and he also didn't know how much of the conversation she heard. Anthony turned to face her, seeing she was not happy.
"That was not what it looked like…" he said, but thats when a dark metaphorical aura slowly and menacingly came off from Eri.
"Talk… now…" Was all she said. Geez, will he ever meet someone THIS defensive as her?!
-MEMORY PAUSE-
"You were even more stupid back then." Koneko stated, she and everyone else knowinf exactly what he did wrong back then.
"Non ricordarmelo…" Groaned Anthony as he was holding his face, sounding like he knew what he did wrong as well.
"So you pissed her off with your big mouth; big surprise," Rias said. "And that lead you to getting closer with her somehow?" She added, assuming that's where the story was going to go.
Anthony rubbed the back of his head. "… not exactly…" He said as he continued the story.
-MEMORY RESUME-
Anthony: So I heard you just walked in on Mischa half-naked…
Yukiha: THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENED!
Anthony: That's not what Haya said…
A few days later, Anthony and Yukiha were walking to school together, mainly cause Anthony had nothing better to do. In those few days, Miu had been living with Yukiha and his older sister. Apparently the day after Mischa appeared, she went to the nurses office for some reason, and Yukiha happened to walk in on her in nothing but her blouse and skirt, as she was in the middle of putting her clothes back on.
According to Yukiha, she also said quote: "I don't mind, as long as its Yukiha"… She even asked him pointblank: "Wanna peek?"!
"It was an accident! I wasn't feeling too great, so I went to see if Haya had something for me. How should I know Mischa was still there?" Yukiha asked.
*Knock, knock* Anthony knocked on a sign they passed which made a sound very reminiscent of a door being knocked on. "I seriously hate you…" Yukiha deadpanned.
"So how's our daughter been adjusting to our timezone?" Anthony asked. Ever since appearing, Miu had been living with Yukiha and Haya as well. The older sister became aware of this, and even Mischa did too. The Future Daughter had appeared randomly via teleportation in the same location Yukiha was in, which was also the same room Haya and Mischa happened to be in. Anthony could only imagine how shocked they must have been seeing Yukiha's daughter that didn't exist yet pop outta nowhere, and most likely called him Daddy in her normal affectionate way.
Haya needed some more convincing, but Mischa believed the little time traveler right away… mostly cause she called her and Haya "Auntie".
"Surprisingly well. She even made this for me." Yukiha said, holding up a boxed lunch.
"She made you lunch?" Anthony asked.
"Yeah… Haya said she was up all night." Yukiha said, which was honestly really sweet. "Who've thought I'd be able to eat a lunch packed by my daughter at my age?" He made a small joke as he lowered the lunch.
"Well, duh. We raised a soldata " Anthony said, joking back. "We're the best parents across time and space, aren't we?"
"Heh, guess so," Yukiha chuckled with Anthony, then looked back down at the boxed lunch. He also couldn't help but smile. "Honestly, I can see myself getting used to this Daddy thing."
Anthony was about to make the perfect joke when; "Hey, guys…"
Both boys jumped at the sudden voice, which was shown to be Yukitsuki following behind them… how long was she following them? Did she hear them about Miu? "Sorry. Did I startle you both?" She asked in a kind voice. It also appeared she had recovered from her meltdown the other day… maybe she just needed time alone?
"Maybe you shouldn't sneak up on 2 dudes talking about Miu," Anthony said… no, that wasn't an accident. Yukiha gave him a face that asked him: 'Baka! What are you doing?!'
"Miu?" Yukitsuki asked in a very confused tone, and its here Yukiha realized what Anthony did. He made the smart girl inadvertently admit she didn't hear the name Miu, which meant she had no idea what they were talking about.
"Yeah. It's a new anime that came out on the sly. American-made by the way. Totally inferior to the real deal." Anthony skillfully lied. As long as he kept a straight face, even Yuki of all people would not figure out he was lying.
"Oh." Was all Yuki could say in response. "What's it about?"
"About 4 Female Spices; Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme; who live in a magical city, and go to school to learn how to become Guardians." Anthony said… which both Japanses students blinked at. That sounded so stupid, that it was almost TOO stupid to be true; but at the same time, not too stupid to not be UNTRUE. They honestly didn't know if he was making it up or not.
"But… those are herbs…" Yukitsuki said.
"Exactly." Anthony said. That conversation ended there.
"You both seem really happy this morning." Yukitsuki observed.
"Yup. We've had a pretty good morning." Yukiha said.
"I see…" said Yukitsuki.
Anthony: …
Yukiha: …
Yukitsuki: …
Akeno (Real World): Ara. Sounds awkward.
Anthony (Real World): Oh, keep watching. It gets better.
"… Yukiha?" Yukitsuki suddenly broke the silence as they've been walking in silence for a little bit.
"Hmm?" Yukiha asked.
"You and Mischa seem pretty close." Yukitsuki observed again. Anthony didn't say anything, but listened carefully. It seemed although she had recovered, Yukitsuki was still curious as to the relationship between Yukiha and Mischa. Judging by the show those two put on in homeroom the other day, that didn't seem odd at all. Anyone would want a reason for that, he supposed.
"Yeah. We are." Was Yukiha's answer.
"How come?" Yukitsuki asked.
Anthony: Couldn't you tell by them sucking fa-…
STOMP!
Anthony didn't get the chance to finish his sentence because Yukiha stomped on his foot very hard. He eyes widened in pain, but he didn't yelp out loud, he held it in. He was however left lagging a bit behind hopping on one foot as he carried the injured one. The question Yukitsuki asked was so vague too. Its not like she added something like: "Do you know her?" or "How far do you go back?". If she did, then perhaps the question wouldn't have seemed so strange.
"Uh… we just are?" Yukiha said, unsure how to respond to the odd question.
"I see… has anything changed with Haya?" The pinkette asked another weird question out of nowhere.
"Um… no?" Yukiha was again unsure how else to respond. Why was Yuki asking such vague questions?
"Really?… That's good…" With that, she hurried on ahead of the path… seriously. She literally dipped without another word, leaving Yukiha and Anthony (when he finally caught up) puzzled.
"Bro!… I just bought these!" Anthony said, lifting up the foot Yukiha stomped on.
-TIME BREAK-
Anthony (Real World): Yukiha eventually found out what wrong. The next day he told me Yuki met him during lunch and she opened up that she was having issues with her boyfriend, which did kind of explain things I guess. In any case, when I visited him that morning, things really began getting even more confusing…
*Knock, Knock!*
As Anthony knocked on Yukiha's/Haya's/Miu's front door, Haya herself was the one to answer it. She was wearing an apron on top of her clothes, meaning she was probably in the kitchen. Anthony didn't understand why guys got a hard-on for this kind of thing, but he'd be lying to say it didn't fit her.
"Well your here early." Haya said, as Anthony normally didn't get up this early unless he was staying the night.
"And I knocked first!" Anthony joked with a silly smile. Haya deadpanned, knowing very well what he was referencing. "Alright. Where's my husband? I wanted to visit my daughter before I head off to work." Anthony continued, which did get a smile from Haya, finding that joke funny.
"Lezaza really slaves you away, doesn't he?" Haya asked, backing up from the door and letting Anthony come inside.
"I don't mind. He gave me a place to stay after… ya know." Anthony said, looking back at her as she closed the door.
"Yeah…" Haya said, already knowing.
"UNCLE!"
HUG!
Miu then ran from out of nowhere and squeezed Anthony's lower body as tightly as her body would allow, affectionately hugging her future uncle right as he turned around to the sound of her voice. Perhaps she just noticed him come in and sped over to him the moment she noticed him. She also nuzzled her face into his belly, as that was the only thing she could reach due to their size difference.
"Hey, shrimp." He said, rubbing the top of her head, something she appeared to enjoy. Of course, that's when Anthony noticed something different about her… "Why are wearing that uniform?" He asked her, as it was the same girls school uniform Mischa, Eri and Yuki wore; though the uniform seemed to be wearing her as it was a little big on her. Not too much, but only noticeable if you really looked close enough.
In a way… it was kind of adorable.
"Teehee! What do you think?" Miu asked, her metal hair-piece also appearing to smile with her, and she backed off and did a quick twirl. She seemed to like it.
"She was snooping around, found it in the my closet, and wanted to try to on" Haya sighed, but had a smile on her face. Using context clues, that meant this was her old uniform, and she had to dust it off and such to make the old thing look presentable. She was acting just like a mother, as if Miu was her child… actually, now that Anthony thought about it, who WAS her mother? She only said he was her favorite Uncle and Yukiha was her Daddy, but she never mentioned her mom once. Was she in this town? Did she even live in Japan at all?
Eh, he can worry about that later.
"Your acting like she's your daughter," Anthony jabbed Haya.
"She's not yours either," Haya jabbed back.
"Not. Yet." Anthony returned. "You look good in it, techno. How bout you go wake Daddy up?" He suggested, which Miu looked more than happy to do and ran off to wake up her actual (or soon-to-be) parent. Haya and Anthony followed while talking to themselves. Sure enough, Yukiha's alarm just went off, and that's when Miu called out to him before jumping on top of him.
Miu: Daddy!
HOP!
Yukiha: ACK!
Miu landed right in Yukiha's lap, pretty much mounting him. If she wasn't his daughter, the position could be described or interpreted as pretty scandalous.
Anthony: I said wake him up; not get him up.
"Miu! You shouldn't jump on Yukiha like that!" Said Haya, fully aware of the adult joke Anthony just slipped in, but decided not to get aggravated over it and let it slide. Miu looked over at Haya when she said this, then looked back down at Yukiha. She probably got over excited. Even if she was a kid who could wield extraordinary technology, she was still that. A kid.
"I'm sorry… did I hurt you?" She apologized with eyes like a sad puppy. She clearly felt bad.
"N-No…" Yukiha said, which was true. Miu merely surprised him, and she was very light so it didn't hurt too badly. "I'm fine…" He was gonna say she surprised him, but noticed the uniform she was wearing just like Anthony did earlier. "Why did you jump on me… and wearing that?"
"She just transferred. Isn't that great?!" Anthony said sarcastically, but Yukiha didn't pick up on it.
"HUH?!" Yukiha gasped, sitting up yet still in his bed with Miu on top of him.
Normally Anthony would drag jokes on for a bit, but decided to pull back a little bit. "I'm just kidding."
Yukiha calmed down a little, but as he got a closer look at the uniform, he realized something. "Haya… is that your old uniform?"
"It is. I dusted it off and patched it up for her. Isn't she just adorable?" Haya asked.
Yukiha looked at his daughter in the school uniform. "You look cute. Really cute." He said, which got him a reward of her giggling and nuzzling her head into his chest. This girl really loved her father.
"Such a Daddy's Girl…" Anthony joked, to which Miu retaliated bu sticking her tongue out at him for a few seconds before going back to nuzzling. Haya said breakfast would be on the table shortly, and also offered Miu if she'd help her set the table, to which she happily agreed to. This left the two boys alone in the room.
"… We made an excellent baby, didn't we?" Anthony said with a smile.
Yukiha rolled his eyes. "Your never gonna stop, are you?"
"Nope." Was Anthony's answer.
After breakfast, Anthony and Yukiha walked down the same path to school, this time joined by Miu. She begged them to tag along with them, using very effective puppy-dog eyes towards the end when they said no. They said this because people would moat likely get the wrong idea if she walked around calling them "Daddy" and "Uncle", but she did make good points: If she wore the uniform (which she was still wearing), then no one would question her presence and she wouldn't look out of place. And if worst came to worst, she always had her devices to turn herself invisible or do other things.
Asia (Real World): What kind of other things?
Anthony (Real World): Apparently she could also heal injuries quickly, and knock people out with the touch of a button.
Koneko (Real World): Sounds more like plot convenience.
Anthony (Real World): That's what I said!
"So you knocked Yukiha out for his own good?" Asked Anthony.
"That's not exactly what happened…" Yukiha said.
"I had no choice. I needed to talk to Mischa and Haya in private" Miu said as-a-matter-of-factly.
"Sounds like more plot convenience…" Anthony muttered. As they continued to walk, Miu just skipped on a little bit ahead happily while humming a song, just like a child would do when strolling with their parents. Despite her sense of responsibility by wanting to make life better for her two favorite people in the world, she was still just a kid in the end.
"So, what do you usually do when we're not around?" Asked Yukiha.
"Play video games, make pizzas, watch Lezaza flirt with younger women…" Anthony said.
"Not you!" Yukiha said. "Miu."
"I mostly just tinker with my gadgets. Make sure they function properly, adjust the settings here and there…" Miu said. "Though I do watch TV and help Auntie Haya sometimes."
"Must be pretty boring here in the 21st century." Anthony said, slightly joking.
"I'm not THAT far in the future!" Miu said.
"Your pretty tech-savvy, huh?" Asked Yukiha, wanting to change the subject.
"It's honestly not too hard," Miu said. "They're standard issue in the future, though even for me it took some getting used too. Anyone could use them once they understand them." She said, then giggled. "Even Bakas' like you. This one time, Uncle Anthony went too far back with his…"
That got the boys' attention. They had their own devices like Miu's in the future? Interesting. Miu's giggling begin to increase, thinking of a memory only she knows. "*snort* He ended up in the stone age…" Miu continued, holding back some laughs.
'I don't know if I wanna hear this…' Anthony thought.
Miu took a deep breath to try and recover. "… He almost got his holes destroyed by a cavewoman!" Miu then had a laugh attack, holding her tummy as she laughed cutely and genuinely.
Both Anthony and Yukiha looked at each other, while Anthony also covering his butt with both hands. That was fantastic… he was in the middle of getting raped by a prehistoric ape; and his niece from the future, found it funny. 'She's really fucking laughing at me…' he thought. He really must've screwed this kid up with all that anime he let her watch…
Well… he didn't… yet. But he did in the future, so… fuck him, this was complesso.
"Your something else, kid." Anthony said.
"She's your niece…" Yukiha said.
"Ti odio fottutamente." Anthony muttered, but loud enough for Yukiha to hear.
"Good morning." Came Yukitsuki's voice, who joined the trio.
"Oh, morning Yuki." Yukiha said to her.
"Morning Watermelon." Anthony greeted. This was actually a nickname she didn't mind.
"Shouldn't you be at…?" Yukitsuki was asking Anthony as he should be at work around this particular time, but that's when she noticed Miu in-between them. "Who's that girl?" Her observation made both boys flinch. Crap! She saw Miu! Why didn't she teleport away or turn invisible like she said she would?! "Does she go to our school?… She's wearing the uniform, but I've never seen her. She new?" Yuki continued. "On top of that, it seems kinda big on her…" She also noted.
This was one of the reasons why they initially refused to take Miu with them at first! They couldn't tell Yuki she was they're daughter/niece, that'd be weird. "Uh… funny story about that. Ya see…" Anthony was gonna come up with a lie, but he and Yukiha noticed something different at their future daughter… she had this intense look of pure hatred in her eyes, and her fisted were balled up so tightly you could've sworn she'd start bleeding from her fingernails digging into her palms.
The stranger part was: it seemed directed at Yuki, Miu's eyes burning holes into her face. Like the cute little girl side to her had been completely replaced. It honestly took the older kids aback at her sudden ferocity.
"… Interfering again, I see." Miu said in a VERY hostile tone of voice that was out of her character.
Yukitsuki cutely blinked twice, then looked behind herself before looking back at Miu. "Me?"
"It's all your fault!" Miu yelled at Yuki, sounding not only angry, but very emotional as if Yuki's mere existence pissed her off. This was also shown by her hairpiece looking like the Angry Emoji. "It's because of you, that Daddy…!" Miu tried to say, but her emotional state caused her trail off. What was she talking about though? What did Yuki do?… Was it the rejection she gave him on the roof that day?… Nah. It could be, but that seemed way too simple for someone like Miu even if she was just a kid.
"Um…" Even though Yuki was caught off guard by Miu's sudden hostility (not to mention probably confused), she then noticed something that made her gasp and her eyes slightly widen. "Y-Your bleeding!" Scratch what was said about Miu probably bleeding… she WAS bleeding! Red liquid was slowly running down her still balled left fist. She must have been squeezing herself pretty hard for that to happen. Yukitsuki immediately went into her bag and pulled out a handkerchief (unused by the way), and she walked over to kindly treat Miu's self-inflicted injury…
SLAP!
Miu whacked Yuki's hand and the handkerchief within it away, refusing to accept her help. "Don't touch me with your filthy, evil hands! And stop pretending like you actually care!" If the group wasn't shocked before, now they were gobsmacked. Even Anthony couldn't think of a single word to say. What had gotten into Miu all of a sudden? "Your nothing but a heartless Puppet! Putting on façades so people think you feel, but you don't…" Miu added. Yuki's eyes went dark. "It doesn't matter what or who you pretend to be. No matter what you do, no matter how hard you try… you'll always be a Fake! Your not even human!" Miu continued, still yelling at Yuki who looked like she waa either going to cry, or shut down emotionally.
"I HATE YOU! I WISH YOU'D JUST DISAPPEAR!" Miu yelled louder, which clearly made Yukitsuki even more upset. Miu's words cut deeper than they normally would have since Yuki already admitted to having boy trouble. "YOU'LL NEVER…!"
GRAB! PULL!
"OWWWWW! UNCLE! UNCLE, STOP! THAT HURTS! LET GOOOOOOO!" Miu yelped in pain as she was lifted up by her hair courtesy of Anthony. Even her hairpiece turned into an Emoji in pain.
"I should smack you upside your head…" Anthony said, not letting her go, at least not yet. Both Yuki and Yukiha looked at each other now, seeking answers from one another, but none came. They didn't have the foggiest idea of what to say.
"Uh… sorry about her…" was the only thing that came to Yukiha's mind, feeling awkward.
"N-No… i-its okay…" Yuki said, also awkwardly. She also seemed very hurt, which was understandable seeing as Miu had a mental breakdown on her. Speaking of her, the Future Girl did calm down finally and Anthony lowered her. The first thing she did was look surprised at herself for losing her composure, then she ran over to Yukiha and hugged him tightly; though unlike back at the house when she hugged them with love… this hug seemed to be one you give to someone when your scared.
She also whispered something to Yukiha, but neither the Italian or the "Puppet" (whatever the fuck that was supposed to mean) could hear it. Miu then walked in the opposite direction, most likely returning the house.
Anthony (Real World): To this day, I don't know exactly what she said to him. In fact, I didn't visit that school or had contact with them for a few days. But the next time I went back there…
-TIME BREAK-
"Let me get this straight… Our Daughter saw all of us die, and Yuki was responsible?!" Anthony asked. He was currently on the school roof after Yukiha's school let out for the day, and Yukiha dragged him up here to talk in private.
"Deep down, I think I already knew…" Yukiha said, looking out towards the city now. "The way Miu verbally attacked her the other day… you saw how angry she got, remember? You don't get that angry unless someone took away someone you love." Yukiha said.
"Yeah… I guess…" said Anthony, having flashes of the fire that destroyed his home, and the face of Raynare in those flames, but tried not to let those emotions show.
"Anthony? You ok?" Yukiha asked, seeing his friends distress.
"Uh… yeah… just allot to take in, ya know?" He white-lied. "I still can't believe Yuki murdered us all in cold blood… I can't see it, man. I call her Watermelon for a reason," said Anthony, as its not just Yuki's pink hair and green headband that gave her the nickname, he also called her that because she was a sweet girl. First Yukiha and him, then Haya, along with everyone else… sounded like something out of a horror film.
Though this did explain why Miu went back in time… she wanted to prevent that all from happening. It even added another layer to them meeting her on this very roof that day… to see her loved ones alive and breathing again, even if they were their younger selves…
"I didn't want to believe it either, but you should have been here the other day, man." Yukiha explained. "She seemed so cold… distant… she was like a completely different person." He continued. "She wanted to talk after school today, so I agreed t…"
"EXCUSE ME?!" Anthony yelled at him, cutting him off. "Your OG future wife kills you, kills your sister… Kills ME! So you wanna TALK to her?!"
"She seemed fine today…" Yukiha said.
"Yeah!… Like ANY psicopatica!" Anthony countered. "Right before they try to seduce you with honeyed words; next thing you know, your either bound by rope or mounted by them before they pull out a knife and: CEEEEEEE!" He continued while dragging a finger across his throat while making said sound effect, being overdramatic in Yukiha's eyes.
Yukiha sweatdropped as this of course. "… I think you've seen too much anime…"
"I think you haven't seen enough!" Anthony countered again.
"Yukiha…"
The sound of a Yukitsuki's voice made both boys jump, not expecting it. "Can you please stop…!" Anthony was gonna asked in an annoyed tone to stop popping out of nowhere, but that's when they saw it and it gave them pause…
Two dark eyes… like two purple voids… staring back at them…
"Y-Yuki…?" Yukiha had to ask. Both boys were shocked. It looked like Yuki's eyes were dead yet she was still standing up and breathing, almost as if there was no soul in her body anymore. She also gave off this weird vibe, robbing her the presence of a human being…
Almost like a Puppet…
"What's Anthony doing here?… I wanted to talk to you alone…" Yukitsuki said. "Do you… not trust me?" She asked, her tone shaking as if she was about to cry. Eri wasn't kidding, she looked awful. Emotionally unstable.
"N-No! N-Not all at!" Yukiha quickly said, which did appear to calm Yuki down somewhat.
"It was just… guy talk… like you and Eri, ya know?…" Anthony said.
…
…
…
Yukitsuki didn't even acknowledge him, which was very strange as she was as close to him as Yukiha was to her, and as Yukiha was to Anthony. The slim girl just kept her dark, soulless eyes dead-focused on Yukiha as if he was the only person there.
"… soooooo… what'd you wanna talk about?" Asked Yukiha, wondering now if he made the right decision to speak to her.
"… Don't you remember? This is where you asked me out." Yukitsuki said. Both boys did realized this. That was right! The was the exact same spot, and oddly the exact same time of day, where Yukiha was originally rejected by her. It's also the same spot they met Miu and all the craziness that surrounded her started.
"Uh, sssssssshould I leave?" Asked Anthony. Not only was that respectful if thats where this conversation was going, but he was also getting really creeped out by the odd feeling Yuki was radiating. Again however, she did not respond; her sight still dead-set on Yukiha like a hawk. He was also slowly backing towards the roof door…
"Stay." One simple word came out of her mouth directed at Anthony, though her eyes did not lock-off of Yukiha while she said it. He did stop as ordered. "Since you were here that day…" Both boys' would have flinched again if they weren't already on edge? She knew about that? "Yukiha? Do you remember?" She repeated her question when she didn't get an answer.
"I remember. You said you had a boyfriend." Yukiha said.
"Well that same boyfriend dumped me." Yuki said, with no emotion in her voice as if it meant nothing to her. The boyfriend, the relationship… nothing. "He said I was too clingy… you don't think I'm clingy, do you?" She asked, taking a few steps toward Yukiha.
Yukiha himself didn't move, either unsure or nervous. "Uh… it's different being a friend and being a boyfriend; can't really say." He avoided the question, probably fearing choosing the wrong answer might cause a rather deadly consequence.
"Yukiha… I made a mistake…" Yukitsuki said. "I never should have denied you… I should have accepted you…" Emotion was starting to return to her voice. "It's always been you… I've spent more time with you more than anyone else. You know me the best. You like me…" Yuki was in Yukiha's personal space by this point, but hadn't physically touched him yet. The boy couldn't move. "And I… I love you…"
HUG.
She then hugged him. She then looked up at him, longingly. "When I got dumped, I finally realized… your the one for me, Yukiha. Your the one I needed… your the one I truly loved…" She then leaned up, probably to kiss him. Her eyes now had need and perhaps lust in them.
…
…
…
"Stop." Yukiha said, which the Watermelon girl did and leaned back down, her eyes now showing surprise and confusion. "I can't do this."
Yuki backed off, slowly releasing him. "Yukiha… why?" She asked, sounding genuinely hurt. "I thought… you loved me…"
"I did." Yukiha's words appeared to cut Yukitsuki, her eyes widening at what the context implied. "I'm sorry, Yuki. But I love someone else now…" Yukiha did sound like he still did harbor feelings for Yukitsuki, but they weren't enough to betray his new love. Whoever it was, Anthony had no idea.
"Yukiha… no…" Yukitsuki began to tear up somewhat. Both Anthony and Yukiha did feel bad, but what were they supposed to do? "Yukiha, please… I'll do anything! You can do anything to me! Anything you want! I'll do it, just don't…!" She sounded terrible, her voice cracking again and heavy emotion streaming down her cheeks. "Yukiha, please…"
As hard as Anthony could imagine it was, Yukiha denied her… Ironic. Here on the same roof, at the same time of day…
-MEMORY PAUSE-
"Sorry to interrupt, but this that how your relationship with her started? You just swoop in like a vulture?" Koneko asked.
"You have no faith in me, do you?" Anthony asked back.
"Ara, Ara…" Akeno smirked.
"Don't even start…" Anthony said to her.
"So if you didn't start getting close after that, then what happened?" Kiba asked.
Anthony rubbed a cheek with a finger. "This's where shit gets crazy…"
-MEMORY RESUME-
"I'm sorry, Yuki…" Yukiha reconfirmed his answer after a few seconds of silence. While she might like him and now released her feelings, it was simply too late. Yukiha had moved on. Yuki herself didn't say a single word, she just stood there with her head down, not taking the rejection well. All Anthony could do was watch. What was he gonna do, pull a Kazuhide? Make a joke? Agree with Yukiha? Even if he wanted to do any of these things, this was not his place.
The very second he turned to leave…
GRAB!
Yukitsuki, at blinding speed, caught Yukiha's arm. It looked pretty tight even from Anthony's distance. "Huh!" Was the only thing he got to say before…
THROW!
Yukiha: WHAAAAAAAA…!
SPLAT!
Yukiha: ARGH!
With unnatural strength, Yuki had just lifted Yukiha above her head that obviously turned his world upside down before he was launched several feet across the roof while sliding on its concrete floor.
"Yukiha!" Anthony called in worry. That really looked like it hurt, and the thrown boy wasn't moving aside from slightly leaning up and gritting his teeth, his body most likely enduring a high amount of pain. Either Yukiha was a lightweight, or Yukitsuki was a hell of allot stronger than she looked. "Yuki! What the cazzo are you…?" He demanded to know, also rushing at Yuki herself. But when she snapped her head and her dark eyes on him, they gave off the same flash as when they did on Rias in the present day.
Anthony's body froze. Completely. His arms. His legs. His head. All movement suddenly stopped. 'What the fuck?!' He thought in a panicked state as he moved his eyes around, which were the ONLY body parts he could move at the moment. 'What's happening?… W… Why can't a move?!… What's going on?!' He asked while still trying move his body, but it's like total paralysis came over him and his muscles would not respond. It didn't feel like it was fear that was stopping him either, but rather something… inexplainable.
Rias (Real World): Wait a minute, HOLD UP!
POP!
Rias' sudden interjection stopped the memory before it could continue. "Your friend knew magic?!"
Anthony shrugged. "I mean, looking back; yeah I guess. Gotta understand: at the time, I didn't know what the fuck was going on. My body just stopped moving and I couldn't do a thing about it."
Everyone else was rather shocked. So Anthony had experienced magic before? Not just Asia's "gift, but ACTUAL magic? That did certainly explain his reaction to Raynare, how he didn't freeze up against her, as well as to Rias saving his life with her own healing magic. That also begged the question: was Yukitsuki even human? That's not to say humans couldn't use magic, for anyone could if they put in the time and effort, but it was still a cause for concern if a magic user was running around the school.
"Er, then what happened?" Asia asked, and Anthony continued from the point he left off on.
-MEMORY RESUME-
While Anthony was frozen and mentally trying to contemplate what was happening to him, he could only watch as Yuki walked over to the downed Yukiha, where she mounted him and started unbuttoning his uniform. "You can't deny our love if its after the fact, right?"
Anthony could only imagine what was going through Yukiha's head right now. A whirlpool of emotions, pain from the Dragonball Z-style throw, the fact a cute girl was on top of him and removed everything of her top half except her black shirt… he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Yuki was literally about to rape his friend, right in front of him! And he was powerless to stop it…
Just like his parents, the fiery vision from before returning to haunt him.
"Love me, Yukiha…" She was leaning down on him again, her face closing in on his own. While this was going on, Anthony's arm began turning red, which Yuki seemed to sense and glanced over to him…
