Aizawa's POV

From the moment he entered the classroom he was on alert. They had been briefed on what Tsukauchi suspected was going on. The detective suspected that this was a school full of quirk discrimination teachers. He had seen the way the teachers treated those with weak or villainous quirks. How those with "heroic" quirks to do pretty much as they pleased.

Specifically Katsuki Bakugo was treated like he was the next messiah. While on the other side of the spectrum was Midoriya, Karasu, and Shinsou. The three were treated as if they were troublemakers. Or if they had been convicted of being villains.

Shouta could not stand to see what they were doing to the kids. This was the reason people became villains. He could not allow this to continue and he knew that Nezu was already planning on bringing them down.

From his position front of the class he noticed the way the three eyed him. There was something disconcerting about the way they watched him. Before they were introduced it had seemed Midoriya had been trying to sleep. All of three of them had dark bags under their eyes.

They were almost as dark as Shouta's own. That in itself was impressive alone. How could any child have such dark bags?

Shouta caught the way Midoriya's head shot up at the mention of Nezu. He could see the oh shit enter his eyes. Alright kid what are you hiding? No one reacts like that without having something to hide.

There was fear in his eyes for just the briefest of moments. Then the boy looked away and said something to Karasu. That boy looked up and his eyes were dark with anger. It looked like he growled at Shouta. Shinsou smacked both of them upside the head before whispering something to them.

Amusement filled him as he watched. Those three reminded him of his own group in UA. It was as if he looking directly into the past.

Tired grins were exchanged between the three. Then when they turned back to the front walls had formed between them and those around them. It seemed they only allowed themselves to relax around each other.

Shouta wasn't the only one who noticed either. Bakugo was glaring at the three hatefully. He was sure that if he and Nezu weren't there an attack from Bakugo would happen. One that would be blamed on the three kids because of their quirks.

Silently he swore to stay close by in case the brat tried something. With Tsukauchi's suspicions he was already alert but seeing reactiosn made memories he'd rather have kept buried were coming back. His own elementary and middle schools had been the same. No one thought he would make a good hero.

The teacher said after a moment, "Today we will be having our fitness exams. Do your best and remember Heroes looking for personal students are watching."

They never said that they were specifically looking for personal students. Just that it was a possibility. Shouta didn't really want to take a personal student.

The three students he was keeping an eye on exchanged glances. There was a tightening of Midoriya's shoulders. A questioning look from Karasu and Shinsou. Finally a nod from Midoriya. A silent conversation just passed between them. It was obvious to him who the leader of the group was.

Izuku's POV

In his light t-shirt and shorts he made his way outside. Shinsou and Kavar were wearing similar clothes. The three stood in the track field doing their stretches. Around them other students were simply waiting for their teacher. No doubt they were convinced of their own abilities. That they didn't need to stretch their muscles.

Only Bakugo was the exception. It wasn't that surprising given that he wanted to be a hero. Though his personality would make him a better villain.

Their teacher came out followed by Eraser and Nezu. After a moment their teacher ordered, "Alright kids line up. We are starting with push ups, sit ups, and crunches."

Kavar questioned low so that the others couldn't hear, "Do we want to show them everything we have? Or do we want to continue to hide our abilities?"

Izuku replied with a mischievous grin, "Let's put everything we have in this one. After all the heroes are watching and they have no idea what we are capable of."

Shinsou agreed easily, "Then let's prove ourselves to them. Show them that we aren't as weak as they believe."

That's exactly what they did. Under the watchful eye of Nezu they completed task after task. More often than not they out did Bakugo. Being vigilantes had its advantages when it came to their physical condition.

From the anger in their teacher's face Izuku was glad to have the heroes nearby. If not their teacher would accuse them of cheating. Or would have made it more difficult than it had to be for them.

Nezu watched them with interest but never spoke to the kids. His dark eyes were drawn to them even as they went through the cardio tasks. At one point Izuku had to dodge a strike from Bakugo who tried to knock him down during the endurance run.

Having been expecting it Izuku was easily able to dodge him. Kavar had stepped close as if to fight Bakugo but Izuku pulled him back. If they fought him now it would look as if they were trying start fights. That would not look good upon the group. The heroes might turn against them.

As they were finishing the of the excersises leaving only the ball throw Tsukauchi appeared. He simply stood off to one side watching every student carefully. When he and Izuku locked gazes there was a softening in the man's eyes. Izuku looked away unable to keep his gaze.

His teacher growled obviously hating how well the hated three had done, "Mr. Midoriya sense you have done so "well" today why don't you perform the ball throw first?"

Izuku stepped forward without hesitation as he said, "Of course sir."

Putting everything he had behind it he threw the ball. The ball soared the air going farther than he expected. Out of all their trainings he didn't put much into this kind of throwing. He preferred knife throwing rather than just throwing for distance.

Eraser was the one who called out 67 meters a moment later. His two best friends gave him high fives. They were next. Kavar threw his 62 meters and Hitoshi threw 68. Like they did for him, Izuku gave them both high fives.

From the corner of his eye he saw his teacher turning an angry shade of red. He thought the group were cheating. That they shouldn't be able to get such high scores.

Eraser said after the others had finished, "They did a lot better than you said they would. Maybe you shouldn't judge them based on their quirks. Not all heroes have physical quirks after all."

"They must have cheated," snarled his teacher, "That group is always causing trouble and cheating."

Nezu said holding up a paw to stop the tirade before it went any further, "Maybe you should allow them to test in a way that cannot be cheated. You also do one on one spars this week. Why not let a student of your choice spar without quirks of course against one of the three?"

The three of them exchanged looks. They hadn't sparred against anyone except each other in earnest. Whenever they fought outside their little group it was always against criminals. Out of the three of them Izuku was best for not killing anyone they chose. Otherwise they might take the fight too seriously and seriously injure or kill the one chosen.

Izuku said taking a deep breath, "I'll fight whoever you choose."

His teacher sneered, "Then I choose Bakugo Katsuki."

Lovely.
