Bodominjarvi: I am on the fence about Jun being back in the story tbh because I don't want her to get the typical anime mom treatment but at the same time I just want Jin to see his mother again because he's hurting still. I don't think he's over her death. If they put her in his T8 ending, I will be happy though. Let them have a bloody conversation and no disappearing act please.

Oh don't worry, there will be plenty of ice breaking (and melting) between Jina from Chpt 18 and onwards. Hopefully you will feel that it's worth the wait. I have something really saucy planned. I might have to post it on google docs or something. It's really saucy! I had a blast writing it. I haven't decided if I'd post it on here yet but don't worry. Like I mentioned before, if it doesn't end up on here, you'll know how to find it. 😊

I also got something else on Jin x Nina (Devil Jin too- under Jin's control) that I can't post on here (for saucy af reasons) but will let you know once it's completed. Anyone who has a signed account on here and wanna read it can PM me and will be put on the list. Or find me on tumblr and send me a pm there for the link.

Was meant to publish this chapter earlier but stuff came up. Thanks for reading and reviewing everyone.

Chapter Fourteen

.

.

.

It didn't take much effort to catch another sneaky traitor. All Nina had to do was play the part of a dumb blonde, wave the USB stick around in front of thirsty employees before feigning sleep in the public area. She and Jin were in on it and caught the sneaky shit who tried to put their hand in her blazer pocket.

It was an odd looking man with a grey beard and grey bushy hair. There was something off about him, Nina noticed. His movements were very robot like. The man's skin had a greyish tinge too.

Now he was tied up in a secure area with Jin and Nina grilling him. The man outed as the leak was a lower rank employee. Jin didn't even know his name until the details of the man was handed to him.

"Who do you work for?"

The man didn't respond to the simple question so the pair became more intimidating, pacing around the man with piercing glazes. Like he was surrounded by two predators who wouldn't hesitate to tear him apart.

"You can sit there without food and water for days and we'll still find who sent you. It can also be guaranteed that your owner won't come to save you." Jin said to the man. "You can bet your life on it."

The man opened his mouth and stammered, "I-I…p-pl-please….d-d-don't be s-so cr-cruel…," He drifted off and lowered his eyes to the ground, afraid to look at the boss in the eyes. "S-sir."

Every time Jin asked that idiot a question, it made the man stammer and Jin was losing his patience. He had no experience in interrogating people and he was so close to getting violent. He felt like tearing the man from his restraints and throwing him across the room, bashing him up and reducing him to a bloody pulp.

But that wasn't the right thing to do. It's the Devil's thing to too.

Nina took a knife and scraped it against the man's face before going lower to the side of his neck, pressing it firmly that if she moved a tiny bit, he'd get a cut. She asked the question again, in a tone so calm yet deadly.

"Who do you work for?"

Jin could not get a reading on this man's aura. There was none. Jin balled his fist. This was badly affecting him. He looked down at his hand and noticed a small sphere of transparent energy around it. He tapped it and it felt tangible. Like a small shield of energy. He had no idea he was capable of such a thing.

He looked up to see if anyone else noticed his new secret but no one did. Nina hadn't noticed.

"I work for whoever pays me." The man cried and then looked at Nina with accusation in his eyes. "As you do too."

Nina frowned. What the hell was that supposed to mean? She cut the man a little and he whimpered. It was like a paper cut but the way he was acting, like a cry baby just made her roll her eyes.

Jin undid the small shield over his hand to look at his bodyguard. She glared intently at the man who hinted that she was disloyal.

"Did you not run to G Corp?" The man further accused. "To betray Jin Kazama?"

The blonde woman just gave him a blank stare as she put her knife away. It was part of the plan and it seemed to work because it gave this cry baby a new lease of insolence.

"My honey bee, you may be fickle minded but it's what I love about you." He slurred at her. "You set me up. If I'm going down, you're coming with me! Remember? You promised."

Nina took one step forward and slapped him across the face. The sound of the man getting slapped brought Jin out of his trance. She actually did it, she actually slapped the man. He saw her face and there was this cold demeanor on it. Her aura was now frosty. Jin hadn't seen this side to her before and it was a reminder of the night she was sent by Ogre to kill him. Those cruel eyes and cutthroat behaviour, it roused the devil inside.

She observed the cut and noticed there was no blood. None at all. She grabbed the man's hair and pulled his head back.

Look at her go! She's such a violent woman! Her cruelty is truly fascinating, the devil jeered.

"First mistake was accusing me of betraying Jin, second mistake was giving and referring me to a pet name without my permission. I don't take kindly to such things, you little shit." Nina said coldly and released his hair, shoving his head in the process.

The devil cackled. Let her corrupt you, Kazama.

Jin gritted his teeth, trying to block out the Devil's voice.

Let her taint your purity. Let her be the poison in your veins.

Jin scowled.

You know you love it too. Her darkness. Embrace it and become one with her. Let her corrupt you.

She's not corrupt, Jin silently fired back.

She's a paid murderer. Of course she's corrupt. Stop deluding yourself, you fool. She's pure evil as you will be soon.

Nina looked over to Jin to see his reaction. He seemed to be calm and pensive. It was his opinion she gave a shit about. Only his. She was miffed that he wasn't saying anything.

C'mon, speak Jin, She thought anxiously.

"How do you know information that I've never shared with you?" She asked the man coldly

She folded her arms and stared down hard at him, applying the mental pressure. But oddly, he never cracked.

Jin finally tuned back into the interrogation and just as he did, he noticed the man suddenly jumping up to seize Nina by the throat. There was a blur and the man was sent careering. Lucky for Jin, it was on his side of the room so Jin wasted no time in punching the man back to Nina and together, they played tennis with the man. Each kick and punch cracked the skin of this man and they realised it was a robot.

It ended with Jin performing a Shun Ren Dan and Nina coming in to complete their tag throw with a Dead Drop. The pair took a moment to let their breathing get back to normal as the exhilaration of their tag fight simmered down. She smirked at Jin. That was an unexpected surprise. Them fighting together on the same side against something.

"Wow, a robot." Nina remarked as they stared at the dead robot, broken wires crackling out of the split silicone. She gave it a tap with her foot to make sure it was dead.

It was dead.

"We need to get this junk to the lab for information." Jin said.

His bodyguard nodded in agreement. She bent down and lifted the shirt. On the back was a logo and the words 'VIOLET SYSTEMS' stamped in purple on it. She stood up.

"Violet Systems. That silver haired clown spying on us?" She huffed. "Of course, even he wants a piece of the pie."

"Who?"

"Lee Chaolan. Heihachi's unwanted adopted son." Nina replied.

"The junk he sent was good at fighting." Jin said. "But it was no match for us."

"I really enjoyed us being a team." Nina commented, with a spark of excitement in her eyes. "We should do that more often. Find our special tag throws."

Jin smirked. Special tag throws with Nina? He loved the sound of that.

"I agree. That was fun." He admitted with a smirk.

The office was big enough but Jin pushed some of the furniture out of the way just in case they needed more space. He heard the door open and the blonde woman sauntered in like she owned the place.

She wore a short shiny red dress for their first Tango lesson. He couldn't take his eyes off her already and with such an attention grabbing dress, Jin was forced to increase his willpower. That dressed hugged her curves and exposed cleavage in a delectable way. The bottom part of her dress was all tassels and he wondered where the dress actually ended. If she moved in a certain way, he was sure that her undergarments would be exposed.

What was this woman trying to do to him?

"Red. I thought you didn't like the color."

"You like it." Nina retorted. She went to press the music on and an easy going tango music began playing. Much to his relief that it wasn't a fast paced one.

Nina took hold of his hands, placing one behind her waist and holding the other one.

"Don't be shy."

He didn't know what to say to that so he kept quiet and decided on observing her feet. He began moving like she was. Careful steps.

"I hope you did your homework." She said.

He did. He saw the video that she sent him. Made sure he memorized the sequence of the steps. Jin's favorite part was the hand holding part as they looked at each other and paced. That was simple. It gave him a chance to admire her blue eyes.

He wasn't that bad, awkward at times but his determination to do it right made her melt a bit. He really was a guy who was eager to learn. It was an endearing trait of his.

Once the song ended, another one automatically played and Jin was in a bit of a panic. Nina however, had planned something extra for him. She let go of his hands and began dancing on her own around him. Her knuckles lightly caressed his cheek as she kept him under her spell. Nina then put some space between them and then ran up to him without warning.

In one swift motion she swung herself over his shoulder without his assistance. It was she was dancing around him without her feet on the floor. His heart was going into overdrive. Nina swung over his body like he was her pole. It was turning her on because it was not a fighting intent but a seduction intent and it seemed to keep him in place. She wanted to bring Jin Kazama to his knees.

She ended up with her back towards him and her legs wrapping around his waist. Her hands caught his arms for leverage. He felt her brush up against him and before he could react, Nina was on her feet.

She spun around with a smile on her lips. "How was that?"

He just stared at her for a long moment. If she brushed up against him any longer, he knew he'd react again down there.

"I need a cold drink." He finally said and offered her one as he moved to the mini bar to the other side of the room.

The blonde stretched her body as she lifted her arms up. Jin sat behind the desk with a glass of ice cold water. Now was a good chance. While she was lowered her arms, she began stretching her legs. It caught his attention.

Nina tugged at the side of her dress, lifting it slight to expose a little more skin for Jin's eyes. The edge of her dress flapped up as she decided to turn it up a notch.

He caught a glimpse of red satin. Her underwear.

Jin's eyes went wide and he almost chocked on his water. She held back a chuckle as she casually sauntered over to the desk and picked up her glass of water.

"What?" She asked innocently. As if she had no idea what spell she just casted over on him.

Jin settled his empty glass down and composed himself. Deep exhales. Once his heart was steady, he then looked intently at the naughty bodyguard of his.

"You can't entice me, no matter how hard you try. Forgive me for lighting the fire in your heart. It happens. A lot have fallen victim to me." Jin said casually and there was a smug smile on his lips.

His mind went momentarily to the few people obsessed with him, mostly from the Mishima school. Jin Kazama wasn't egotistical, in fact he was far from it but he knew this woman had some ego. It was fun knocking it down. A humble man versus an egotistical woman.

Jin Kazama 1, Nina Williams 0.

This man had such a charm which seized her attention. The way he delivered his words in that voice of his was a mystery of the universe. Anyone else saying those words wouldn't be able to pull it off like Jin Kazama did. Nina didn't know how else to describe it because it was rare. Like a blue rose. If it weren't for his charm, the conversation would have taken a different direction.

"My, aren't you ashamed to talk to me like that?" Nina responded with a mocking smirk, folding her arms. "You think I want to entice you?"

"Of course. I'm your husband. That's why you flash me time to time." He said casually, not bothering to look at her as he took out his pocky stick box from the drawer.

Nina narrowed her eyes. "I will cut you."

"Then cut me." He challenged. There was no knife strapped to her leg. The last time she tried to cut him, she ended up getting cut. Unintentionally.

She sucked in her breath. This husband of hers with the frustratingly deep eyes was winding her up. Fucking sexy bastard. She watched him pull out a pocky stick from the box and nibble on it, his eyes giving her a gleam. Oh how she wanted to snatch that pocky stick from his mouth just to annoy him. He wasn't even holding the stick, it was dangling from his mouth like a cigarette, begging for her to take a bite.

"What is with the bedroom eyes, Kazama?"

He was not going to pretend that he knows what that means.

"What are bedroom eyes?"

There was a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

"Don't play dumb. Don't flirt with me either." She warned the insolent man.

A sly smile formed on his lips as his piercing gaze caught her. She felt naked under his smouldering eyes.

"I'm Jin Kazama. I don't know how to flirt, remember?"

Some silence passed between the duo. Nina huffed, glared some daggers at him and Jin shrugged. Oh he was having so much fun!

"I still don't see a knife."

"You….," She huffed and rolled her eyes. "Don't push it, husband."

She threatened him but couldn't follow up on it. He gave her a look that held some challenge as they said to her 'you don't want to hurt me'. She hated that she had to concede with that. She couldn't hurt him. It would be like hurting herself. He was the only one she couldn't inflict any pain on, neither physical harm nor verbal harm. She could never be cruel to this man. She respected him greatly that's why. She sharply inhaled at this realization. Respect… something hardly anyone got from her. What did this man do to her?

He stuck another pocky stick in his mouth. Without warning, Nina got up, strutted over to him and swivelled his chair to face her. Locking her blue eyes with his brown ones, she got him into a trance. Then she leaned over, clasped her mouth over the end of the stick. He froze. Her face was so close to his again. His body suddenly grew hot and the blonde bit the rest of the pocky stick off. Stunned, Jin watched her pull away as she began chewing, she winked at him.

Jin Kazama, 0. Nina Williams, 1.

Without another glance, she left the office with a smug smirk.

Nina lay in bed and watched the clock flick to midnight. It was another day in January and it was her birthday. She didn't feel tired. She was twenty five. Thanks to the Cold-sleep. Thanks to that minx.

Like always, once she woke up several hours later, Nina would treat it like another day. She didn't know if she ever celebrated it but since waking up from cold sleep, she never had a desire to celebrate her birthday. To her, it was just a day she got thrown into the hard desolate world like everybody else. She couldn't fall asleep however. A few minutes later, Jin called her and said it was urgent, she had to get her ass down in the private garage straight away. He told her to bring a pair of shades and wear a biker suit.

Annoyed, she got out of bed. He should have been sleeping now like every other normal person. She really wasn't in the mood to play bodyguard at this hour of the night. Bloody Kazama.

Where was he off to now? At this hour? She wondered as she slipped on the sleek black suit and tied her hair into a ponytail. But why? She grabbed her black mini backpack, threw in the essential contents including the shades and put it on.

Anticipation and frustration hammered her like erratic pulses.

Once she reached the garage, she found him standing with his arms folded as he observed his sports car. She walked upto him.

"Take your pick." He said to her, gesturing towards his vehicles. "Happy birthday."

She lifted an eyebrow but said nothing. She tried to read his eyes to see if he was just joking with her. He was serious.

Jin Kazama wanted to give Nina Williams a Birthday gift.

She then looked at the pricey vehicles which would tempt anyone to steal. Here Jin was offering her one for free. What was this? Her mind went to the time where he dressed her wound. The special magic cream Jin had that his mother probably invented told her how much Jin could love someone. The way this man could love someone, immortalize them long after they were gone touched her heart. Before her thoughts could wander off into uncharted territory and scare her, she shifted them into another area. A safer one. She wanted his gift. If he was offering it to her, she was going to accept.

Someone actually cared enough to give her a birthday present. As if she mattered. Her eyes felt a little glassy. Yet again, her mind was slipping.

Nina folded her arms, doing her best to conceal her emotions. It was proving to be much more difficult and she had to keep Jin from looking at her face.

He placed a hand on her shoulder, making her stop. Her felt her tense under his touch. She looked at him again, like a deer caught in the headlights. Their gazes locked and his mouth parted. Nina never looked at him like that before. Eyes that were usually cold were suddenly were glassy and warm; a degree of vulnerability in them. It made his heart ache.

"You're nervous." He stated the obvious. "Has no one ever given you a gift before?"

She blinked and had her back to him again.

Then sighed. "You already know the answer to that, Jin."

She had a killer reputation. She was known as ruthless, no-nonsense, so damn talented that it made other assassins quiver whenever she was in their vicinity. Yet, there was something about her that she never wanted anyone to know. Because it may undo her well-built reputation in one fell swoop.

Jin Kazama was the only soul in her life that caused her to feel frightened and make her knees buckle. That man had the key to unlock her heart and every day it was twisting clockwise, getting closer to unlocking her heart completely. She couldn't even stop it because she didn't want to. Or her heart, if she ever had one didn't want her to stop it. Nina wondered what would happen on the day he finally unlocked her heart. What kind of person would she be? Or would she finally be her true self that she kept locked away in the vault? Would she like herself? Would he?

Before she melted, Nina ceased her thoughts. She carried on walking, observing the high tech vehicles and being so impressed. The shiny sleek and sexy cars just waiting to be taken out for a spin. She noticed a row of bikes, five of them parked together and made her way to them. Jin quietly followed her.

He let her pick. No one's ever gifted her a bike before. She never let them know what her ideal gift was and no interest to. How Jin knew what she liked both baffled her and left her in awe. That man could read people so well. She was becoming an open book to him. Anyone who got to know her could weaponize the things they found out against her. But Jin wasn't that kind of person.

She was safe with him.

Her eyes settled on the red bike. His favorite color.

"This'll do." She said, doing her best to conceal her excitement from him.

She turned around and captured his attention with her eyes. He was mesmerized that he didn't noticed her take a step forward and lift both her arms to wrap around his shoulders. Behind his neck, she rested one wrist over the other. Jin drew in a short breath. She was looking at him like he melted her into a puddle. This and being so close with her made his heartbeats accelerate. He loved the way she held her arms around him.

Nina was trying to do a good job of not cracking but her lips had a mind of it's own and curved into a genuine smile, a smile that she was sure it hadn't ever been as wide as it had been now.

That beam on her face didn't go unnoticed by Jin. He couldn't help but stop and stare at it. This Ice Queen was smiling like that and in front of him.

He wanted to get lost into this moment, her smile, her eyes, her touch…her.

Her featherlight kiss on his lips pulled him out of his trance. The blonde let her lips linger on his for another moment before she closed the distanced between them with a hug.

She remembered what he said to her before. Whatever he wanted to do, he wanted to do with her. Those words sent her heart into overdrive but she was good at keeping it together. Handling so much emotion in one moment was proving to be a challenge to her. She reluctantly unclasped her hold on him and took a step back, taking the magic with her. The blonde took a deep inhale before turning her attention to the precious gift.

Nina let her fingers glide over the bike once she approached it. It looked like a beast of a machine, powerful as fuck. The word 'Enigma' was embossed onto the shiny strip of chrome. Everything about this bike screamed badass, elite and sexy. Just like him.

"I designed it." Jin revealed as she mounted the bike. It did not go unnoticed by him that she was checking out the bike like she'd never seen such a bike before.

"I'm not surprised." Nina said as she got comfortable on the leather. "You're a man of many talents."

A genuine compliment. From her.

Jin smiled.

"Consider this your birthday gift." Jin smirked. "You earnt it."

Hopefully adding that last part would make her feel that she deserved this bike rather it being a bribe or just handed to her for free. He was rewarded with a soft smile from her.

Nina honestly didn't mind that she didn't accomplish this bike. Jin was just being nice and it did warm her heart. She took out her biker shades from her mini backpack and put them on.

"Thanks. You remembered my birthday. That's gift enough for me, darling."

Darling. Secretly, he loved it when she called him that.

"You're welcome."

"What do you say? You and me, racing in the streets?" She asked in a genuine tone instead of a playful one.

She wanted to celebrate her birthday with him and this memory, this amazing memory that they had just made, she was going to preserve it in the back of her mind with all its colors and emotions.

The engine roared to life.

"Winner gets to decide the prize." Nina informed slyly.

Jin put on his shades, went to his bike, got on it and started his engine.

What prize would be decided? His heart pounded.

A/N: There is a poem I found that reminded me of Jina so I'm sharing it with you guys here. I really liked it.

We made love with our eyes,

Before our bodies touched,

We fucked with our souls,

Before we ever reached the bed.
