Bodominjarvi: Thank you! It's good to be honest. Never seen Jina as dancers? I would have said the same once upon a time if I didn't read a certain well written fanfic but then again if Jin doing the Kata looks so natural, then I'm sure the guy can learn to tango too. For me it shows how much Jin and Nina mean to each other for them to do something like Tango. You know like in your fic how you highlighted in your way how special Jin is to Nina and how special she is to him.

Power is Everything fanfic inspired me to adopt the dancing headcanon for them. That amazing fic just beautified my OTP so how could I not have Jina dancing? A fanart and doujin has been drawn of it because it was such a fresh and an amazing idea. I love it. I can see it. Oh Jin knows how to flirt, he's just teasing Nina and she knows it. His entire dialogue SC mode...he was so witty, unique and to the point...I love it! His charm was refreshing to see. I can see one reason (out of many) why Nina got close to him ;)

Oh no, don't be sad about your birthday! I see it as a day to double the enjoyment. Jin is so generous, I'm sure he'd offer you a sports car because you asked him so nicely. I will mention what the prize will be in this chapter. That prize is going to be very important. Thanks so much for your reviews. I smile when I read them. Also, I miss your fic, please update soon if you can!

Utah: Thanks.

Chapter Fifteen

.

.

.

Kazuya caught the younger Williams sister parading the blonde boxer around the Millennium tower. They were in a hug, so much happiness was being expressed that it made Kazuya sick to the stomach. They were on the upper lobby. Just a couple of floors down from his office.

"I..don't know what to say?" Steve told Anna, letting her see his watery eyes. "This report….everything…,"

"My son." Anna said, cupping his cheek. "My lovely boy."

"Oh mum!" He hugged the brunette strongly, almost lifting her clean off her heels.

Kazuya resisted the urge to roll his eyes. But it was an advantage he supposed. It was good to attack an enemy on all fronts. Steve Fox was going to be their ace in the hole. He let the woman and her fake son a little more seconds to just bask in orchestrated joy before he cleared his throat.

Steve shot Kazuya a rude look, annoyed at being interrupted with his reunion with his mother.

"I need to speak with your mother for a moment." Kazuya said.

Anna and Steve exchanged looks before Anna walked over to Kazuya. He led her a little away from the curious blonde to talk business. Steve remained rooted to the spot. He fell for that trick, Kazuya silently mused. Only a fool would listen to their heart.

"I already apologized about not stopping your son from attending that meeting." Anna said lowly. "My sister…..,"

"Is a better fighter than you." Kazuya finished for her.

Jin Kazama proved himself to be both brains and brawns, Kazuya thought. He had to up his own game. He didn't know whether to be annoyed or proud that he had an exceptionally smart offspring instead of an idiot. For the first time in his life, he had a real challenge. More challenging than Heihachi Mishima. With the bora bora stunt Nina pulled and Jin putting more and more of his affiliates out of business or taking over them had pissed him off so much. Now the game was really on.

"You failed because you didn't think it through." Kazuya said to the brunette. "He's thought his plan through and I need to do the same. I'm not up against a kiddie here."

"What is it that you want?" She asked her boss, slightly frustrated. Anna quickly then apologised out of fear when his red eye creeped her out. She had to stay on his good side, dammit.

Working with a powerful man like Kazuya gave her an edge over her loner sister. It was why she finally succeeded against Nina all those years ago. Anna felt so powerful in Kazuya's company. It was only a sick twist of fate that now her sister was working with Jin and the Zaibatsu, a power that could rival G corp. Anna was frustrated about that. It was why she acted hastily. She really did want Nina to lose that power and fall into ruin.

"I need the media and public opinion on my side. I have to do some damage too. I need your assistance." He said to her, hoping that at least this was her area of expertise. "Don't let me down." He warned half charismatically and half menacingly.

Anna gulped and nodded. "I won't let you down."

"Good."

The enigmatic middle aged man slid both hands in his pockets and silently walked up to his window, a sadistic and tranquil smirk on his face as he looked out onto the city. His city.

Not his father's.

Not his son's.

His. Damn. City.

"I've already planted the seed of doubt about his bodyguard." Kazuya uttered. "The devil will do the rest of the work."

Anna Williams came out of the G Corp Building, Nina observed her silently as she was perched on her bike. Behind her was the familiar blond man. Steve Fox. Anna's son. Nina drew in a short breath. Every time she saw him, she got this uneasy feeling. The mother and son due looked like they were happily chatting away as they walked down the steps and onto the public street. There was a handcuff on Nina's bike handle. The other cuff was unclasped, it would be used to pinch her sister.

Nina revved her bike, ready to enact her plan. She was not a vengeful woman, no, not at all but the minx had to be shut down to nip her shitty plans in the bud. She was sure, Anna was scheming more and more idiotic shit against both her and Jin on Kazuya's saying. Kazuya had to feel that Anna was incompetent. That was the plan. She remembered Jin saying something about how it was okay to get a little payback when the occasion called for it. He said that she may not be the vengeful type but sometimes getting payback can sooth one's soul. Then he uttered a couple of words to let her mind have a gander and come up with something creative. Arrested Development was the two words.

So here she was. After coming up with something exciting.

It shouldn't matter if Anna's son was with her. Today, the bitch would be getting a small taste of payback. The blonde quickly approached her and in one swift motion, she handcuffed her idiot sister to her bike handle as she drove off.

"Hey what?! Oh my god! What?!" Anna panicked, being forced to walk quickly in order not to fall.

"Mum!"

Steve just stared at his mother being dragged with wide eyes, he barely had enough time to register what the fuck was going on as the biker began increasing the speed.

Anna was forced to waddle quickly in those stilettos of hers. The panting, the sound of long heels slapping against the concrete as the minx worked hard to keep up with the speed put a smile on Nina's lips. The blonde didn't even have to see her stupid sister's flustered face. She could imagine her looking like a fish out of water. Huffing and puffing. She slowed the speed down once she saw the puddle, it wasn't a part of Nina's plans but how could she resist?

She only then unclasped the cuffs off her handle when there was a big puddle in which Anna stumbled into, her poor expensive dress and makeup getting all ruined. Nina parked her bike to the side and watched her sister cry out in anguish as she stood up. Lifting up her visor, the blonde took out her phone and snapped a picture before pocketing her phone again. The blonde man caught up with them.

"Mum!" He cried.

That one word made Nina feel sick. She felt paralysed when she saw his face. That face. She quickly put her visor down to conceal her eyes. He was going to pull Anna out from the puddle but she beat him to it getting up with a cry. His attention then went to the sadistic biker just calmly watching the whole ordeal.

"How dare you!" He yelled at the biker woman. "You awful person!"

Luckily she had her helmet on so he didn't know it was her. In an attempt to try grab the woman off her bike to confront her, Nina sped off.

Once she was far away from that mother and son duo, Nina had to stop somewhere and calm herself down. It was weird, her reaction. She should have felt nothing. Why didn't he look like his mother? She wondered. Why were genes so strange?

It would be easier to not feel a thing if he looked more like Anna. She shook those unwanted thoughts away. Anna got humiliated today. It was fun. She had to relish in her little victory. She took off her helmet and let the wind help her cool down.

She shook that anxiety away to relish in her victory of Anna's humiliation. Her mind then went to Jin and the race they shared the other night. It looked like he was about to win but at the last moment, allowed victory to be hers. She knew he was being extra nice to her because it was her birthday and it didn't feel like she earnt the win. The prize had been a two week getaway at one of the countryside mansions the company owned. Not just for herself but for Jin too. She didn't tell him that though.

Nina's phone rang. It was Jin.

A smile appeared on her lips and she swiftly answered it.

"Hey you." She greeted, making sure he could hear the joy in her tone.

"You usually answer your phone with a disgruntled 'what' or a 'yes?'" Jin remarked. "Sounds like your day went well."

"Of course it went well, I got what I wanted." She replied, noting that he sounded a bit moody.

"I need you to come back to headquarters as soon as possible." He said lowly.

He didn't tell her why but she figured it was work related. She was slightly disappointed he didn't celebrate her little victory with her but perhaps he'd do so once they were face to face. He needed her and she was going to be there for him.

"I'm on my way." She replied and he made a small grunt to imply he heard her before ending the call.

When the blonde returned to HQ, Jin briefed her on a new mission, one that he had to be a part off because this had to be done with surgical precision. The right way. A rival company had weapons of mass destruction and Jin knew once the war was in full swing, that company would be a big thorn in his side. What Jin needed was to seize everything, the company, the assets and the weapons. He didn't need to persuade his blonde much. Seeing him dead serious about it had her on board. Of course she was going to go with him; them teaming up was fun, a kind of fun she'd never had before. She couldn't wait for the events to unfold as a result of their thrilling partnership.

If he didn't snatch the weapons from this man, he would have had a difficult foe. These weapons of mass destruction were hidden- nuclear ones too. In the right hands, they would be destroyed and out of reach.

A signature was needed, forced or not and Nina knew how to get that. She learnt that the reason Jin was in slight foul mood was because he hated the mere thought of a man who boasted about owning nuclear weapons and constantly threatening other nations because of it.

Nina suggested they just kill the man afterwards but surprisingly he refused because it would be murder in his eyes and not self-defence.

They found the man on the floor in his penthouse suite. Several empty sake bottles littered the table. Music was still softly playing from the stereo, an idle microphone sitting next to it.

"I guess the sake and his bad karaoke put him to sleep." Nina commented dryly.

Jin turned his nose up at the passed out man, even the sight of him was enough to disgust him.

This man had a moustache. Her father also used to have a moustache but that didn't earn this guy any mercy.

Nina kicked the businessman with the garland of yen notes around his neck. She kicked once, then twice, rinse and repeat. She even slapped his face with her foot until the bastard was roused from his sleep. He mumbled and released his sake bottle which rolled near her feet. She kicked at that too and it hit the man.

Jin lifted his eye brow, slightly amused at her way of waking up a dirty businessman lying wasted on the floor of his penthouse.

The moustache man mumbled and rubbed his sore cheek. He then sat up to see some blonde woman looking down at him. Her eyes were cold. Did that woman just step on him? Bitch.

He then noticed the Japanese man behind her. Jin Kazama.

"What the hell you want?" He slurred at him.

Jin replied tersely. "Your properties."

"Nani?!"

He opened the file and pulled out a pen while Nina grabbed the moustache man by the ear and hoisted him up from the floor and to the sofa. She shoved him down as Jin approached. The man yelped and rubbed his sore ear while glaring at the blonde.

Jin and Nina then looked at each other to silently communicate their next course of action. This did not go unnoticed by the disgruntled man.

"Oi! Stop your romance!" The man snapped irritably at the pair.

How dare they do that eye thing in front of him?

Jin glared at the man for his audacious words. Stop their romance? Hmpf. An odd thing to call this thing of theirs as romance. Or maybe it really did appear romantic. Either way, Jin was glad he and Nina put up a united front. It threatened their enemies.

The man caressed his garland. He was glad it was still on him. It was one of his prized possessions. Nina noticed that. This was going to be easy. She came here, prepared to beat the shit out of the man and leave him within an inch of his life but she supposed this was a favorable outcome. Less messy.

In one swift motion, she took the garland from the man and walked back.

"Hey! My necklace!" He yelped, reaching out for it.

"Do as my friend says." Nina warned the man, a dangerous edge to her voice.

"It took me hours to make that!"

He didn't take his eyes off her, his beloved garland was now in her hands and he made an attempt to stand up, to go after her but Jin placed a firm hand on the shoulder and shoved him back down so easily.

Damn that man's strength was something else, the moustache man thought bitterly.

"You are such a peculiar man." Jin commented. "Applying so much value to trash."

"Those yens are ancient yens. My late father entrusted me with those notes!" He snapped, still glaring at Nina while talking to Jin. "Young people like you won't understand. It's all about bit fucking coins with you lot."

"Sign it." Jin simply said.

"No."

"Rip it." Nina heard Jin tell her.

So she stretched out the garland about to tear it.

"No please!" The man begged. "I'll sign it. I'll sign it!" He hurriedly said, reaching out for the pen and contract like his life depended on it.

Lucky for him, Nina hadn't torn his precious money garland apart.

The man just about read the gist of the contract and desperately looked at the blonde with his necklace. He had so much things but the one thing he valued the most was that garland. His father left him those notes and told him to protect them before he died. It was just his bad fucking luck that he had to wear that on this damned day.

He'd sign it but then do something so bad that Jin Kazama would have to return it.

So he signed. Jin smoothly snatched it from his hands.

"If you cared about the Zaibatsu, you wouldn't be here." He scoffed. "Heihachi Mishima is the lord of that company. You and your blonde bitch can fucking drown together."

"Watch your mouth." Jin warned him after glancing at the contract.

"She…," He pointed at Nina. "You chose this gaijin woman as your partner. That alone tells me about your character. You should have learnt from your noble grandfather who never betrayed Kazumi Mishima. He never married again. Such a man who honored his marriage is the rightful owner of the Zaibatu. You? Your mother was a whore. You are a waste of Kazuya's sp-," He was shut up by Jin's hand at his throat.

Nina saw Jin calmly place the contract down on the table as the man let out his angry tirade. In a flurry of seconds, now the man was being suffocated by Jin.

Her eyes went wide when she saw some markings appear on Jin's face. His eyes had changed to a silver color and the fangs were out.

Oh god.

She dropped the garland and rushed to Jin's side.

"Jin stop." She said calmly, trying to reason with him. "Please."

He finally let the man go who coughed and inhaled surges of air. Nina had her hands on Jin's shoulders, he didn't return to normal yet and she saw his fangs.

She froze.

The very same fangs which bit her in her nightmare. In a flash they were gone and so were the black tattoo marks on Jin's face.

She signed in relief as he went back to normal. He looked dazed and confused.

"You fuckin' monster." The man slurred. "You think I'm going to sit here and let this slide? You're a monster!" He laughed insanely. "I'm going to let the world know. Hell, for the rest of your life, you will be a test subject. Never seeing the light of the day again."

She saw that murderous look in Jin's eyes. He wanted to kill the man but he was shaking slightly. He was holding himself back from destroying the man completely.

The blonde knew when people were bluffing and when they weren't. She wouldn't make it as an assassin if she didn't know. This man wasn't bluffing. He meant his damn words.

What they did to her, she would never let them to do Jin. Not on her watch.

Nina quietly pulled out her gun with the silencer on it. She aimed at the man and shot him fatally. He coughed up his own blood. She shot him again to finish the job. Her eyes furious and cold.

She even checked the neck to make sure there was no pulse.

"He's no longer a problem." Nina informed Jin.

She went to pick up the contract and pen from the table. Then tugged at Jin's wrist. He was standing there in a trance.

"C'mon, let's get out of here." She said softly.

Jin took one last look at the dead man. His lifeless haunting eyes just looked at him.

"I'm putting you on a little break." Jin informed her once they returned to his office.

"What?! Why?"

She watched him tug briefly at his lapels before he sat down in his chair. His almond eyes were blank as he finally looked at her. This made it hard to read his emotions. That sent an ache in her heart.

"You killed someone against my orders. You need some time out." He replied flatly.

His words resonated with her. Yes, she did it and she took no pleasure in doing do. Nina wasn't the kind of person to kill someone and enjoy it. She also wasn't the type of person who kill without an order or in self-defence. She didn't want to find out what exactly Jin was thinking about the situation as his displeasure pinched a nerve. Folding her arms, she broke the eye contact and sighed heavily.

"I did that because it was necessary." She said calmly, trying to push down the fury bubbling up inside her.

"How?" He challenged.

Without looking, she knew his eyes narrowed with a fiery spark in them and a scowl decorated his forehead.

Nina scoffed and looked at him in disbelief. "Does becoming a lab rat sound appealing to you?!"

His heart skipped a beat as his eyes found hers.

"No one would have believed him." His voice was a lot softer than before.

It wasn't what she wanted to hear. No, she needed to hear from him that she made the right call and he was pleased with her action. She needed to hear a 'thank you'. Her thoughts ceased immediately as the indignation grew, her cool composure breaking by the passing second.

"All it takes is a rock to ruin a glass house!" Nina retorted.

So she saw him as a glass house? He was peeved about that. How dare she think that about him? He's never been a glass house since Heihachi's betrayal! He worked hard to avoid ever becoming like that again. She was prepping up him for the war. He wasn't sure how he felt about that anymore. Those mixed feelings only making him more confused and hesitant. Really, he had no idea why he was putting Nina on a break but now that he had mentioned it, he could not go back on his words. It would make him look fickle to her and he abhorred that trait in people. With a passion.

"I'm not changing my mind."

"I'm not regretting my decision."

They were two stubborn people at a standoff. Neither willing to relent.

He let out a small grunt of agitation.

She wanted to berate him for losing control and almost turning into the Devil in front of that pathetic man. What the hell was Jin thinking? Seriously, if she wasn't there, god knows what would have happened.

"I would do it again and not have a single regret." Nina revealed in a slow, deep and sly tone.

Those words made him part his lips as an exhale escaped. His eyes lowered from her gaze and onto the desk.

Their values clearly clashed at this point and it was best to address this issue. She wasn't the one who needed a break. Jin was! He needed to think long and hard about his choices in life before the war started. Not taking her eyes off Jin Kazama, the blonde leaned over the desk slowly, placing her palms on it.

"If you want this war, you're going to have to cross some lines."

He closed his eyes at her obvious statement and took a deep breath. There was no comfort in knowing such a thing.

"I'll see you in a few days time." He said calmly. "When you've cooled off."

What an asshole.

Jin was the one who needed to cool off. Not her.

He was probably taking out his panic and frustration on her, she concluded. It only made her scowl. Because he did that, she was going to go someplace else and he'd be left wondering where she was.

"I might not return." Nina threatened.

Even she didn't know if she would….

He said nothing to that. He didn't even react like he was afraid of losing her.

Jin kept his eyes closed. Still blocking her out.

"You're welcome." She muttered sarcastically and loud enough for him to hear before turning away and walking out.

When he heard the door slam shut, he opened his eyes. That threat about her leaving made him feel very anxious and his face displayed it only after she left. Hopefully she didn't meant that.

Who was the man that Nina Williams met in the office the day Jin hired her? Was he the one who sat on the throne sporting a devilish smirk on his face? Or the one who saved her from Ogre? Or both even? Jin wondered silently. He felt like he had so many facets of himself ever since he left Yakushima. Jin remembered Nina persuading him to leave the penthouse, get on his bike and drive back home despite his raging nerves. He didn't know how she managed to do it but that finesse in which she convinced him saved him.

The past few weeks, Nina's showed a much more humanistic side that even shocked him. And today, what she did for him…

"She would kill for me." Jin thought out loud. "Thank you." He whispered, wishing he said those words earlier to her.
