Also please remember, I'm literally making this up as I go along, with just a basic idea how the chapter pans out. So, expect missing info that'd probably be rectified in the next chapter.

Chapter 2
It wasn't far to the college, in fact Noelle always wondered why her mother would drop her off, since it was literally around the corner…not even that, probably as less than ten minute walk. Still, it was the only time Noelle could spend with her mother, since she was the major of the town and always had a busy schedule, especially with the festival coming up in a few days.
Her mother drove up to the college…but this time, Noelle just wanted to get out. She was about to open the door.
MOTHER: Now, you have a good day at school, okay?
NOELLE: Mm-hmm…
MOTHER: (Frowns a little) Noelle, is something wrong?
NOELLE: No…n-nothing…
MOTHER: There is, isn't there?
NOELLE: I…
MOTHER: (Sigh) Teenagers and your stupid problems and your pointless anxiety. You wait till you become an adult and start dealing with adult problems. I know I've got some at the moment. It's not easy being the major of this town, you know.
NOELLE: I just…
MOTHER: Go on. Just go. (Noelle's ears flopped and looked down, slowly getting out of the car) Do you have your key?
NOELLE: Yes…
MOTHER: Good. I'm going to be home late again tonight. I have a lot of preparations to do.
Noelle was about to answer back…but didn't bother, right now her concern was about what happened yesterday, if it even did happen. Noelle closed the door and prompted her mother to drive off. She understood that her mother had a lot of things going on and was extremely busy, but sometimes it felt like her mother was cold to her…and the problem is, Noelle was feeling the same way, if just the start of it. Nonetheless, she needed to know some answers.
Noelle looked around the entrance, a few students and teachers were walking around and she recognized some students from her class, but they were pointless to talk to…she really needed to find Kris and Susie, and more importantly spot if Berdly turned up, since she left him sleeping in the library.
Kris and Susie weren't inside, so she figured that they'd be inside and normally hanging around the lockers near their classroom…that was the first place to look
…and she was right.
Susie was leaning against the lockers, her foot up against it as support and with her arms folded, having a laugh with Kris. Noelle felt a tad uncomfortable that everything seemed normal but more towards Kris, she just had an uneasy feeling towards him…even though she's known him since they were a lot younger. Noelle adverted her eyes towards Susie…and it was as if a light shone on the purple monster, as she brushed her hair back in a slow motion pace, revealing her beautiful yellow eyes. Noelle blushed…she always found Susie attractive…and then the dream popped up into her memory that had involved Susie…the best part of the dream.
Oooh…Susie~…
Noelle could feel the butterflies in her stomach.
Mmmm~
The sounds of Noelle's moan echoed in her mind…those moans caused by Susie's delicate touch.
"Do you like that…?"
"Mmm. Oh God~…y-yes!"
Noelle gasped as Susie went down on her.
"Ooooh~ Please don't let this end…~" Noelle gasps again and Susie reaches the perfect spot.
Her mind was distracted as another student bumped into her.
STUDENT: Move out the way, buck tooth!
Noelle was going through what was the only perfect thing of this dream memory and this stupid arsehole interrupted it. Normally, Noelle would just apologise or keep to herself but something was raging inside her. Fire seemed to be rising and her shy personality seemed to be shoved to one side.
NOELLE: (To Snowy, the student who bumped into her) Hey!
Snowy stopped in his tracks and turned around.
SNOWY: Huh. You talking to me, buck tooth!
NOELLE: Yeah…y-yeah, I am!
This was bringing a lot of attention to the students around them. Even Kris and Susie noticed. Noelle ignored the attention and Snowy just chuckled to himself. His friend Monster Kid laughing with him. Noelle started to shake.
SNOWY: So what?
NOELLE: You didn't have to…push me!
SNOWY: Heh. Maybe you shouldn't be in my way, buck tooth.
Susie was getting concerned. Kris was intrigued and simply half smiled
SUSIE: The hell? I'm gonna punch that asshole's lights out! (Kris then grabbed her arm, pulling her back) What the hell are you doing, Kris?
KRIS: Watch!
SUSIE: Are you crazy!?
KRIS: Just…watch…
Susie looked back at Noelle, who was getting even angrier.
NOELLE: Don't…d-don't call me, Buck tooth!
SNOWY: (To his friend Monster Kid) You hearing this shit? (Laughs) Haha. (Walks towards Noelle) And what are you gonna do about it…"Buck…Tooth"?
That was it…Noelle gritted her teeth.
NOELLE: I said…DON'T CALL ME BUCK TOOTH!
Without any hesitation, Noelle whacked Snowy across the face with her books, his face twisted through the impact, and fell towards the lockers. Noelle dropped her books and then grabbed the shocked Snowy by the neck, slamming him against the lockers. Snowy gasped and whimpered. The Monster Kid backed away…no way he was intervening for his friend. Noelle's eyes started to go plain white, as her pupils slowly disappeared…and Snowy cold feel her hands getting cold around his neck.
SNOWY: Wha…what…w-what the fuck…?
NOELLE: WHAT HAVE I EVER DONE TO YOU? HUH? WHAT HAVE I DONE TO YOU?
SNOWY: I'm…I'm sorry, I'm sorry! P-Please don't…please don't hurt me!
Susie was shocked at what she was seeing…but Kris just smiled but widely this time and was impressed. Noelle then saw the damage she had made, as blood was slowly trickling out of Snowy's strange shaped beak. Her eyes reverted back to normal and gasped.
NOELLE: O-Oh...(Lets go and backs away from the now scared Snowy) I...(Looks at her hands, a snowflake seemed to drop from her palms and disappeared) W-What's happening...?
The other students started to mummer. Noelle looks at around at the other students and then, for some reason, straight at Susie, who was a little freaked out. Noelle started to get teary-eyed and her lip quivered, she covered her face and then started to run away, with the crowd gladly moving out the way for her but still preying their eyes on her, until she was down the end of the corridor and out of sight. The crowd started to chat amongst themselves of what they just witnessed. Susie was still dumbfound to what she saw, until she pulled her arm away from Kris's grip.
SUSIE: What's going on, Kris? Did...did you see that?
KRIS: I did.
SUSIE: Her eyes, man! What was with her eyes?
KRIS: (Shrugs, playing dumb) Beats me.
SUSIE: It's...it's like she...had powers, like we did in the dark world, had she not stopped herself...she could've...(Trails off) Did she just bring her powers to the real world?
KRIS: Who knows?
SUSIE: (Turns to Kris, puzzled) You...know something, don't you?
KRIS: Do I?
SUSIE: You do, don't you? You knew she was going to do something. You stopped me from helping her because...you knew she would...do this...
KRIS: And how would I know that?
SUSIE: Don't bullshit me Kris or I'll rip your face off.
KRIS: (Hands up) I know as much as you do!
SUSIE: Whatever, you weirdo. I'm gonna speak to her myself!
KRIS: You do that!
Susie just growls at Kris. He knows something she doesn't but Kris wasn't exactly a talker. Susie stormed off to find Noelle.

It didn't take long for Susie to find Noelle, even after she looked around the corridors and classrooms. She found Noelle sitting on a wooden bench, outside the college. Susie knew Noelle wouldn't have left the premises, not even on a college day. Susie walked up slowly to Noelle, who was still crying, making little gasps through her crying. Noelle hadn't noticed her yet. Susie was unsure what to say, putting her hand behind her head...and feeling awkard.
Christ, I dunno what to say. I've never had to...talk to anyone like this. Normally it's me who makes the person cry.
Noelle was still sobbing away.
I wonder...if she...realises the moment we had was...real...
Noelle was still none the wiser to notice Susie.
SUSIE: Uh, hey. (Noelle squeaked in fright, almost jumping from the seat which ultimately made Susie jump) Shit, sorry!
NOELLE: S-Susie...?
SUSIE: Sorry, I didn't mean to make ya jump!
NOELLE: (Starts to giggle) Oh, n-no...I just...uh, I didn't know anyone was there.
SUSIE: Well, I uh...I just wanted to see if you're okay...
NOELLE: (Blushes) Oh. (Smiles weakly) I'm...I think I'm okay...
SUSIE: (Nods) Cool. Cool. Well...like I said, I just wanted to check if you were okay and you are, sooooo...yeah, I'll just...leave you now.
Susie just looked at the little deer and just felt awkward again. She didn't want to make the situation weirder, so was about to walk away, until Noelle got up and gently tugged at her fleece sleeve.
NOELLE: S-Susie...?
SUSIE: Yeah...?
NOELLE: Don't go. I...I don't want to be...(Trails off)
SUSIE: ...Alone...? (Noelle nods and looked as if she was about to cry again) I could stay if you want me too.
NOELLE: Yes, please!
SUSIE: Uh, cool...
Susie and Noelle sat down, they were both blushing. There was a strange silence, as if one or the other couldn't think of a thing to say. Though it was Susie who wanted to break the silence, as Noelle looked towards the group, after wiping her tears.
SUSIE: So...uh. That...that thing that happened in there, with Snowy...and your eyes, what hap-
NOELLE: (Interrupts) Do you really have a tail?
SUSIE: (Taken aback) I, uh...w-what...?
NOELLE: (Blushes brightly but chuckles) This...is gonna sound stupid, madness even but...w-well...um...I...I had this...dream, right...(Susie's heart races as she gulps)...and...in this dream was this strange...world. Like, a computer world, full of these...strange and zany characters. Aside from myself, wearing this plain gown, it...it had K-Kris in it...and...you. You were both in it...and it was just...surreal...
SUSIE: (A little nervous) Heh. Dreams, eh...?
NOELLE: At first...it was a nightmare...
SUSIE: (A little downhearted) Oh...
NOELLE: But...the best part of it...w-was you...
SUSIE: (Looks at Noelle) Me...?
NOELLE: Uh-huh. (Smiles wildly but still blushing) Yeah!
SUSIE: I was the best part...?
NOELLE: Yeah, you were. I...I didn't want it to end. (Sighs) But...like all best things it has to come to an end...
SUSIE: (Blushes) So, uh...(Coughs) A-hem...so, what happened...between me and you.
NOELLE: Oh. Oh I...I really don't want to say.
SUSIE: Oh no, you can't do that. You HAVE to tell me.
NOELLE: I...I don't know...
SUSIE: Oh, come on. Try me.
NOELLE: Uh...u-um...well, it was...(Starts to shake and gulps) It was just me and you and we...w-well, we...(Heart beats faster) Oh but it was so...(Smiles again) it was amazing and it felt amazing because it was so...s-so real...
SUSIE: (Softy) Yeah...real...
NOELLE: We...we made love and...(Looks straight at Susie)...oh my God, I don't why I'm telling you this!
SUSIE: Noelle, it's okay!
NOELLE: No, it's not...
SUSIE: Noelle, I'm cool with it, ya know. I'm cool with you dreaming about me.
NOELLE: Y-You are...?
SUSIE: Yeah...I...like that you do.
NOELLE: (A little teary) I'm so embarrassed.
SUSIE: Don't be. (Sighs) Look...didja ever wonder why I never picked on you?
NOELLE: (Sighs herself) All the time, weirdly enough...
SUSIE: It's cause when I first came to class, you lent me one of your pencils. (Chuckles) Like a dumb candycane-looking one or something...and even though it didn't taste like candy...I just, uh...I just remember your smile and decide to, you know, spare you...
NOELLE: Huh. (Leans her head on Susie's shoulder) You said the same thing in my dream...
SUSIE: (Whispers to herself) Yeah...I know...
NOELLE: It's really specific.
SUSIE: Yeah...weird, right...?
NOELLE: (Relaxes more with her head on Susie's shoulders) Mm-hmm.
SUSIE: Uh...so, what's all this got to do with my...tail? You asked if I had a tail...
NOELLE: Oh...o-oh yeah. (Blushes even more) You...u-uh used your tail to...f-f-finish me off...
Susie blushed and just looked towards the street, even though she knew this to be all true, it was weird hearing from Noelle and couldn't give away that it was all real that it happened.
SUSIE: Wow...
NOELLE: Yeah. Wow. (Swoons)
SUSIE: Did you like it...?
NOELLE: (Sits up) Huh...?
SUSIE: Did you like it?
NOELLE: (Full face blush) Yes...I loved it. (Starts to chuckle) In the dream, you was so gentle...(Sadly realises) Oh...but that's all it was, wasn't it...it was just a dream, right?
SUSIE: Oh...yeah, just a...dream...
Fuck sake, just tell her!
SUSIE: Uh. What if...?
Noelle looks at Susie and Susie just stares into the deer's beautiful eyes, gulping. Why was this difficult, considering what had "happened"
Fucking tell her now! Just cut the bullshit with her and tell her!
NOELLE: Look, Noelle-
Just then, as if the worst cliché could happen, the bell starts to ring, meaning the lessons were about to begin, as students started to gather inside. Noelle had wiped any tears that started to dry on her cute cheek and picked up her books. Susie just exhaled frustratingly.
NOELLE: We...better get in class...
SUSIE: (Whispers to herself) Shit... (Nods at Noelle) Yeah, sure.
The both walk to class...and without a prompt, Noelle gently grabs Susie's strong hands and smiles, still blushing that didn't seem to leave.
NOELLE: Thank you.
SUSIE: For what...?
NOELLE: For cheering me up.
SUSIE: Oh, I mean...I...(See's Noelle's smile)...you're welcome.
Noelle just giggles and walks ahead of Susie to enter back into the college.
SUSIE: Hey, Noelle...? (The cute deer turns around)...um, for your information, I...I do have a tail.
NOELLE: (Giggles) I knew it.
SUSIE: But...please don't tell anyone, I...I rather people didn't know. I'd...(Pretends to get angry) I'd eat your face off!
NOELLE: (Pretends to zip her mouth) Your secrets safe with me.
And with that, Noelle walks more confidently into the college, leaving Susie to just sigh.
SUSIE: Yeah...secrets...
Susie follows afterwards.
…...
A few minutes later. Noelle, Susie, Kris and the rest of the students sat in their seats. Snowy had a bandage around his beak and though Mrs Alphy's questioned him, he didn't tell the truth and just used the old "trip and fell story"...Alphy's kinda knew he was lying especially the way he hesitantly answered but figured it was best not to embarrass him any further...but something else was on her mind and it was really troubling her.
Noelle turned her head and noticed Berdly wasn't at his desk. This started to make her worry. The students were still chatting quietly about Noelle's incident. Susie leaned over to Kris.
SUSIE: Hey, Kris...Berdly isn't here!
KRIS: I can see that.
SUSIE: He was in the God damn library though. We saw him! He was asleep right? (Kris just shrugged) Kris...is he-
ALPHYS: Students! Please quiet down. I...I have some terrible news. (The class quiets down) I'm afraid Berdly...uh, well...something's happened...
NOELLE: (Starts to get nervous. Whispers to herself) Oh...no! Oh my God!
ALPHYS: Berdly he's...he's in the hospital, he's in a critical condition. (The class gasps and whispers) He's alive but...he's very, very unwell...
The whispers got louder of worry, Noelle hand her face in her hands. Kris just calmly puts his hand up. Alphys quickly notices.
ALPHYS: Yes, Kris?
KRIS: He's still alive?
ALPHYS: Yes, Kris, he is...but...it's n-not good...
KRIS: (To himself) Hmph. Can't believe he's still alive...
ALPHYS: The police and hospital have advised not to visit him, only his family members. It is in their best interests that we respect that. I want us all to think of Berdly...and wish him well. We will do something for him.
Noelle lifts her head out of her hands and for some strange reason, felt the need to turn and look at the beck of the class where Kris was sitting...and she was scared at the way he was looking at her, with his dead expression. And he shook his head slowly, as if "not to go there".
Noelle couldn't help but believe...that this was all her fault and that Berdly was on the last inch of his life.
