"Calm down, everyone! I know you're all excited, but not so loud, please." said Mr. Merzanovich.
The kids were all very excited. The class was off to a field trip, and it wasn't some dull museum - it was Megadale's famous ice cream factory, "The Snowsweets". All the kids knew that the trip included a final stop in the tasting room, nobody could pass up the chance to get free ice cream. Even Mr. Merzanovich wanted to get something. He knew that the new taste is coming out soon and wanted to try it first. Speaking of new...
"Hamdon." he said to the twins.
"Yes, Mr. Merzanovich?" the twins replied.
"This is your first field trip with this school. I am sure you had trips at your previous ones, but it won't hurt to go over the rules..." with the word "rules" Guy zoned out. He had heard that kind of speeches so many times that he could recite them. Kelly, on the other hand, listened carefully, as she always did, looking for differences between the new rules and the ones of the previous schools. As the teacher's speech went on, so did the ride. Kelly found no changes in the standard school regulation for field trip outings.
Meanwhile, Guy noticed something else. As the bus approached the factory, which could be seen in the windows, one of the classmates was looking sad. His name, as Guy remembered, was Timmy Shiverstein.
"Hey Maz." Guy said to his friend, who was sitting nearby. "Look at Timmy. Why do you think he's so sad? Does he not like ice cream or something?" Maz looked at Timmy and then turned back to Guy.
"The ice cream is not the deal here, the factory is. Tim's father was the lead architect of the factory, he made many advanced features..." Maz sighed. "But not long after the factory was done, his father went missing. Tim was just a baby. This place reminds him of a dad he never knew..."
"Oh... That's horrible..." said Guy. He could imagine what it would be like if he had never known his father...
The trip was going on well. Even Guy was watching in awe at the process. Step by step the milky masses were poured together to eventually become a cream. It was then placed in the cones and was moved straight into the freezing area to finally become an ice cream...
The class just left the freezing area, heading to the syrup section. Timmy was left behind as he missed the order to leave, he was thinking of something. As he realized, the class had moved on, Jack and his pals appeared.
"Yo, Shiverstein." said Jack in his typical mocking manner. "Lagging behind here, huh? What's wrong?"
"Nothing, Jack." answered Timmy, looking away. "Just lost in thoughts..."
"Probably feel missing you daddy, don't you?" snickered Jack. "I heard he left because he felt too good at being such a big shot here and decided to find a better place to make a life. If I were in his place, I'd do the same. The last thing I would want is a loser of a son like you..."
"Shut your mouth!" shouted Timmy. He was now enraged by Jack's words. The reaction that Jack wanted.
"Oh, look who's crying now." he mocked. "Little Timmy misses his daddy." he grabbed Timmy by his hoodie. "You seem hot and bother, why don't you chill out." he tossed him in the open freezing chamber and laughed. One of Jacks pals leaned on the open door, and it moved, closing shut. Timmy started banging at the door, asking to let him out. Jack laughed and tried to open the door...
That was the moment Jack froze in fear. The door wasn't just closed - it was locked. Timmy's banging became more frantic with every second. Jack and his gang ran away in fear, leaving Timmy crying for help.
Soon Jack has rejoined the class. As the class moved through the factory, Guy noticed that Jack is looking nervous. At first Guy figured that he needs a bathroom, but when they walked right past one. That made Guy suspicious. He looked over the class and noticed that Timmy's missing.
The trip came to its end and everyone was in the tasting room, given the free ice cream. Guy was looking over the class again and again, hoping that Timmy will come eventually, but the boy didn't appear. Guy turned to Kelly, who also seemed to notice.
"Mr. Merzanovich, I think one of us is missing." she said, approaching the teacher. He looked over and nodded.
"I see it now. Everyone is present, except for Shiverstein. Who saw him last?" he asked.
"As I remember, Jack was the last one with Timmy." said Guy. Jack was white as sheet, shaking, and with all eyes at him.
"Jack, you have something to say to us?" said Mr. Merzanovich.
"Uuh... The last time I saw him, Tim was in the freezing area." Jack said sheepishly.
Before Mr. Merzanovich could say a thing, all the class rushed back. The teacher couldn't do anything but follow, saying something to the tour guide.
At the freezing area, the security guards were already was taking Timmy out of the chamber. He was whispering, begging for help, and as soon as the teacher and everybody else arrived, he passed out.
"If this accident leaks out to the public, school's reputation is ruined..." mumbled Mr. Merzanovich, rubbing the sides of his head. "Alright, class, follow the guide - he'll lead you to the bus. I'm going to deal with a few things and then we all are going back."
"What about Timmy?" asked Kelly.
"I'm sure he will be fine." answered the teacher. "The ambulance is already on its way, and I'm going to call his mother and principal Breakor to discuss the accident..."
The class left. Guy looked at Jack - he was looking extremely nervous, saying something to his pals.
"Guy?" said Kelly. "Is there something wrong?"
"I have a suspicious feeling about Jack." Guy replied. "He's obviously scared of something since this whole situation started."
"Same, dude." Maz added. "I bet he is the one guilty."
"Without any real proof, we have nothing against him." said Kelly.
"And you suggest to just let it be?" Guy tried his best not to raise his voice too much.
"No, I suggest that you calm down and investigate it later." Kelly reassured her brother. "Even if he's the one behind it, there's no reason to worry that much."
"What about Tim? He could have died..." said Maz. "Do you think Jack intended to do it?"
"No, I don't think so..." said Kelly. "He may be a bully, but not a villain."
The bus left before ambulance arrived. Mr. Merzanovich left all the info about Timmy and his mother with the factory staff, and they told it to the medics. Timmy was loaded on a gurney, wrapped in several blankets, and put in the van. They tried to call his mother to inform her, but she didn't respond - just like when Mr. Merzanovich tried to do the same. Then the medics left. The staff of the factory called the police to look over the place and sent a mechanic to check the area's locks.
As the ambulance van went on to the hospital, Timmy suddenly came to his senses.
"Wh-what h-h-hapened?.." he whispered.
"Calm down, kid, we'll take care of you. Everything will be just fine." said the doctor. "Do you feel better?"
"It's... Cold..." Tim answered.
"Doctor, the sensors are going crazy." said the nurse. "His temperature's getting below zero!"
"What the-" before the doctor could finish the phrase, Tim let out a scream. A cold wave came from his body, ripping the blankets and spreading across the whole van, breaking it down with ice. The van crashed in the pole and the back doors fell off. Timmy stepped out of the van, shivering.
"S-so cold..." he said. He then heard people screaming and looked up. Everyone was running away, some of people pointing at him and shouting something about a monster...
"A monster? Where?" Timmy looked around in fear but saw nobody. "What's happening?" he stopped and looked at his hands and froze in place - he noticed his skin turned very pale, almost light blue. He quickly approached the closest window and looked at his reflection. His skin was all light blue and his hair was white as snow. He screamed in terror and waved his arms, intending to run away. Suddenly, a beam came out of his hand, breaking the window and freezing everything behind it. He looked back at the van and noticed it was half-frozen too.
"What's happening to me?" he whispered in despair. Then he started walking through the street. "I should go home..." he thought. "Maybe mom knows what to do..."
The bus arrived at the school and the kids got out. Some of the parents were waiting for their children.
"Okay, everyone, time for you to go home. Hope all of you have the homework written up..." the teacher said as the kids were leaving, and then turned to Jack. "Go to your father's office, he may have some questions to you..." Jack nodded and went towards the school building. Meanwhile, Hamdon twins and Maz were heading home.
"So, see you later, Maz." said Guy.
"Yeah, dude. I have a few things to do at my place. But I'll come to yours for homework, just as we planned." Maz replied.
"Cool, bye!"
Meanwhile, principal Breakor got outside and approached Mr. Merzanovich.
"Excuse me, have you seen Jack?" he asked.
"I sent him to your office a few seconds ago, Mr. Breakor." answered the teacher.
"Well, I haven't seen him inside..." said the principal, looking nervous.
"Oh my..." sighed the teacher.
Timmy got home. He decided to enter through the back door, since he didn't want the neighbors to get scared of him. He stopped in the hall as he heard something in the kitchen. That was his mother, Sarah.
"Timmy? Is that you?" she said, coming to the hall. "You're home unusually early today. I thought you had a field trip to the "Snowsweets" with your-" she went silent as soon as she saw her son. She dropped the cup she was holding in her hands and it broke in pieces.
"Mom?" said Timmy. "What happened to me? What is wrong? Please, answer..." he moved to approach the mother, but she stepped back.
"Don't come closer!" she screamed.
"Mom, it's me, Timmy!" Timmy said. "Something happened to me! I don't know what..." as he was talking, the thin layer of ice was spreading around his feet.
"I know what happened." she said, and a mix of fear and disgust could be heard in her voice. "You became just like your father. "A freak. an ugly meta..."
"What is meta?" Timmy said, confused. "And what it has to do with my father?" Sarah sighed.
"I'll tell you..." she said. "Your father was a meta-human. Meta-human is a human with supernatural abilities. It is unknown why they have it, but sometimes it just happens - a person is born a meta. Your father was one. I don't know exactly what his powers were - something about adaptation... But when you were born, he fled. He left a note where he revealed his secret and said he was afraid that his meta genes could have been passed to you. That if he was present, you could become very dangerous. At first, I thought that it was just an excuse and that he was just scared of being a father. But now I see he was right. You are the same as him now..."
"Mom..." Tim whispered. He was filled with despair. This day did not start well. A field trip to the place that does nothing but reminds Tim of his dad. Then the accident that nearly took his life... And now this, his mother now scared of him. Tim wished he died in the freezing chamber rather than being alive here, turned into a freak, hated by his own mother...
"Go away!" said Sarah. "I don't want to be related to your kind of weirdos in any way!"
"Can I at least have some warm clothes?" he asked, sniffing. "I feel cold..." the tears were coming from his eyes and freezing immediately, becoming a tiny ice drops.
"Yes, you can." said Sarah and left, but came back soon, holding Timmy's parka jacket and warm boots. "Here, take it. Now leave me alone!"
Timmy left the house, silently crying.
At the Hamdons' place, Maz came to Guy, as they planned.
"Ugh, Maz, what's with the smell?" said Guy, as foul odors came from Maz' backpack.
"Umm, nothing." answered Maz. "Let's get ready for the homework." he said. Guy suddenly felt a tingle in his body.
"Fortunately, there's something calling for a SHEro to deal with it." he said.
"You wanted to say UNfortunately, didn't you?" said Kelly in a strict voice.
"Nope, I said exactly what I wanted." Guy smirked, as the three headed to the SheLair. Sheila was already on, like waiting for them.
"Hello, kids." she greeted them. "I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but it's a SHEmergency here, so I sent a signal that only She-Sense can pick up."
"No worries, I got it." said Guy. "And I'm actually grateful..." he whispered. The supercomputer was up to say something, but Guy quickly cutted it. "Okay, so what's the deal?"
"I received a report of an ambulance crashed. The scanners say the van was carrying just one patient before it broke down. Break down was by some weird energy outburst. Also, right afterwards the catastrophe the patient disappeared."
"That's weird..." said Kelly, scratching her chin. "Could it be that it has a thing to do with the outburst?"
"That's the strangest part, my girl." said Sheila. "This energy's nature is something I haven't seen for long. No source is present, so it looks mobile. Looks like it's a meta-ability."
"Meta-ability?" Guy said. "Like the one of Terra-rist?"
"Yes, it is." Sheila said. "This time, it seems to be based on ice and freezing."
"I'm going to check the crash site and try to find some traces." said Guy, preparing the ring. "You go girl!" a pink flash came out, and then Guy was in his suit.
"You're not going alone this time, SheZow! Your sidekick will be at your side!" Guy and Kelly turned to the voice of Maz and saw him wearing a suit too. It was a reddish-brown bodysuit with decorations styled as meat and sausages - or, to be honest, made of it. Overall, the suit resembles a ninja garment.
"If there's cold, I'm not afraid - meat should be frozen to stay fresh!" he said.
"So that was the source of the smell..." said Kelly, holding her nose.
"What's with the suit, Maz?" asked Guy.
"Not Maz. Now my name is Ninja-Steak!" said Maz, coming closer. "I thought that a superhero like you could use some help of a cool sidekick. Since I'm your best friend, I took the role."
"You sure of that?" Kelly said. "You do get it's pretty dangerous..."
"I know the risks, Kelly." Maz reassured her. "I'm ready to face them."
"Also, since when you're so worried about Maz?" Guy asked as Kelly and Maz both, blushed.
"Let's not waste time and got hero's work to do!" said Maz after a little pause.
"Okay, hop on, partner!" Guy got on the She-Cycle and Maz did so. Then they drove away.
"Hmph, posers. They're not the only ones here that can do work." said Kelly, sitting down in front of Sheila's screen. "Now, when they're away doing their heroics, I'm going to find more info. What do you think, Sheila? It wouldn't hurt to do a little digging..."
"You're absolutely correct, my girl."
Soon they arrived at the scene. SheZow approached the broken vehicle. All the insides were covered in ice, which was slowly melting. The place was surrounded by the police, and another ambulance was there too, taking care of the doctor, nurse, and the driver from the crashed one.
"That's weird..." said Guy quietly. "I don't sense any presence of our icy man here..."
"Maybe he left right after he caused the crash." replied Maz. "It could be unintentional, and he ran away because he was afraid."
"You may be right, pal." said Guy. "We must get a closer look without drawing attention." but then Guy noticed a familiar figure walking nearby and looking around. "Hey, isn't that Jack there?"
"It's him. What is he doing here?"
"We just ask him." said Guy and came after Jack. "Hello, care to tell me why you are so interested in the demolished van, JACK?" Jack almost shrieked as he noticed the heroine's presence and the fact that she knows his name.
"H-how do you know my name?" he asked, shaking.
"No lies here, man!" said Maz strictly. "If you lie, we'll notice it. So, talk."
"Yes, Jack, spill the beans." Guy continued, faking girly voice. "We don't have all day to climb up the beanstalk." Guy was intentionally making fun of his name.
"Okay, but please, be quiet." said Jack. "I don't want to draw attention just like you." he took a deep breath. "Today my class had a field trip to an ice cream factory. And I gave some guy hard time. One of my classmates, Timmy, there. I accidentally pushed him into the freezing camera..."
"Just as I thought..." thought Guy, while Maz got an angry look on his face.
"I swear I didn't want it to be like this!" Jack continued. "I wanted to just have some fun and then let him go. I tried to open the door, but it was locked! Now I'm trying to find him. Just to know if he's okay, so I can stop worrying if I did something too bad..."
"Okay, we heard you..." said SheZow. "I'm glad that you feel sorry for your actions. Now please, leave the place. Me and my sidekick are going to investigate the site. Then we'll help you in your search."
"Maybe we're on the right place to start." said Jack. "I think it's the ambulance that took Timmy. If you investigate it, you could find his traces."
"That would be very nice." said SheZow, heading to the crashed van. Maz followed her.
"By the way, dude, a meat ninja?" said Jack, obviously referring to Maz. "Never seen anything more ridiculous..."
"Oh yeah?" Maz replied. "And who's the sidekick of a real superhero - me or you?"
"Boys, quiet!" SheZow shushed. That was the moment when the policemen noticed them.
"Look who's here. Isn't it a SheCOW?" said one of the officers. Guy looked at him - it was his father.
"Oh man..." he thought and tried to look calm on the outside. "Officer, it's SheZOW. Please, let us put aside all hostilities. We both want to find out what happened here. Keeping this town safe is my job just as it is yours. We can work on the case together and..."
"Quit the babbling, pink punkette." Boxter cut her. "We're not in one boat here, and never will be. I am a man of the law, working day and night to keep the town safe and clear from criminals. You are illegal freakshow in a weird suit wreaking havoc and damaging people's property. Now I give you a chance - surrender and quit and let the professionals handle everything. If not, I'm going to stop you from you vigilante ways and I will go easy on you."
"That's unfair, officer!" said Maz, standing between SheZow and Boxter. "SheZow is trying to help! To do something the police can't! And that's how you thank her?"
"Something the police CAN'T?!" exclaimed Boxter. "Young man, do you think that the police are powerless?"
"Ugh, I don't want to interrupt, but we have a problem here!" shouted Jack. Everybody looked up. SheZow felt a tingle of She-Sense. She jumped aside, pushing Maz and Jack with her body, just in time to avoid a beam. It came down and immediately froze everything and everyone in the area.
"I found you!" SheZow looked in the direction a beam came from and saw the familiar face. It was Timmy, but he changed. He was wearing a blue parka jacket with a with fur on the hood, dark-blue warm pants, and high fur-trimmed blue boots. His skin was light blue, and his hair was white. His eyes were glowing with anger.
"I've been searching for you, Jack!" he said, pointing at the boy. "Now I'm gonna have my revenge at you!"
"Who the hell are you?!" exclaimed Jack - he obviously didn't recognize Timmy.
Tim growled in anger and shot another beam from his hand, aiming at Jack. Maz pushed him aside, and the beam hit an empty space, covering it with ice.
"It's Timmy? What happened to him?" Guy thought.
"Guess you are the meta that we are looking for, sweetie." said SheZow. "You want to fight? Try pick someone who can fight back at first."
"Stay out of this, SheZow!" said Timmy, as he slid down an ice pole he created. "Superheroes got nothing to do with my case! I'm not a villain. All I want is to make him pay for what he did to me!" he tried to attack Jack, but SheZow pushed Jack out of the way, but she was partially frozen into an icy block in the process. Maz then stood in front of Tim, waving a pair of sausage links like nunchakas.
"A meat ninja? Seriously?" said Timmy with a deadpan face. "Man, this is just stupid..."
"Quit talking and get ready to fight me, SheZow's brand new sidekick - Ninja-Steak!" Maz tried to hit Timmy with the sausages, but the boy caught them and froze the meat weapons. Maz then pulled out a long salami stick, waving it like a sword.
"Beware the Salami Blade style!" Maz said.
"A blade you say?" grinned Timmy, creating the icy blade on his hand. "I got one too." the boys thrusted their blades at the same time. Maz's salami got cut in a half, while Timmy's blade shattered.
"Too bad." said Timmy, creating himself a new blade. "Unlike you, I always can restore my weaponry. You lost the fight."
"Yeah?" Maz smirked. "For you to know, I wasn't fighting you at all, only distracting."
"What?" Timmy looked around only to see that Jack is running away, while SheZow freed herself from the ice. "You-" before he could finish, Maz slapped him in the face with a raw steak.
"These things are not only useful to help treat black eyes, but to make them as well!" he laughed.
Timmy wanted to attack him, but SheZow dragged her partner aside with a ribbon from one of her Ribbon Shooters.
"Girls first!" she said.
"I said stay out!" Timmy shouted and shot an ice beam from both of his hands. The heroes avoided it, as SheZow shot a ribbon at the boy. He touched the ribbon, and it got frozen in no time, shattering like a glass.
"Nice try, lady, but it's not happening!" he said, touching the ground. The ice spreaded around quickly, and both SheZow and Ninja-Steak slipped and fell. Timmy approached SheZow, creating an icy blade on his hand again.
"I didn't want to do it, but you had this coming." he said, putting it up to strike. SheZow stood up and activated her Laser Lipstick. Just in the moment when the energy blade appeared, Timmy stepped back.
"No! Too hot!" he shouted.
"What's wrong, darling? Afraid of a melt down?" SheZow said, shooting a ribbon once again. Now it worked and the boy got tied up, falling down, slipping on his own ice. It was enough time for the heroine to help her partner to stand up, get on the She-Cycle and ride away. Timmy stood up and broke the ties by freezing them.
"You cannot stop me! Revenge will be mine!" he shouted, moving on using the ice slide similar to the one used by the Iceman from "X-Men".
Jack stopped, trying to catch his breath. He ran for a long time. He was thinking on what to do. He cannot run and hide forever - sooner or later, the freak will eventually find him. His thoughts were interrupted by a sound of a motorcycle engine. He looked up and saw She-Cycle approaching him.
"You followed me?" he asked.
"Actually, no." said SheZow, taking off her helmet. "We only got away from the icy guy. We have to figure out a way to defeat him. All my weapons aside Laser Lipstick are useless, but it's not my style to cut people with an energy blades..."
"But it is in his style to try and cut people with an icy blade." said Maz. Suddenly, they heard the static and then a voice coming from inside the helmet.
"SheZow, come in." the voice was obviously Sheila's.
"Sheila? What is going on?" asked SheZow.
"Me and... Agent K. dug for some info while you and your smelly ally are away." she answered. "The missing patient and the meta you just fought is indeed the same person. And it is the boy called Timmy Shiverstein."
"That freak is Timmy?!" Jack exclaimed. "How could it possibly happen?"
"As our research says, his father was involved in many architectures works in the town, and all of the designs were highly appreciated. Also, there are some news reports that say about him surviving in a few extreme situations. As I investigated, it can be clearly said that Mr. Shiverstein was a meta-human and had superpowers. Looks like the meta-genes passed to his son and activated in an extreme situation."
"That makes sense." said Maz. "He almost died in that freezing chamber. Extreme enough."
"I wonder, his ice powers and the fact he was in the giant freezer are connected?" said Jack.
"Let's think of it later, guys." said SheZow. "We still have to find a way to defeat him."
"I'm sorry, but neither Agent K nor I, can find a way to reverse his transformation." said Sheila from the helmet.
"He was afraid of my Laser Lipstick back there. He said it's too hot..." mumbled SheZow.
"Hey, isn't it a Chilli-Bytes factory there?" said Jack. Everybody looked around - they were pretty close to the old building with a "Chilli-Bytes" logo on it. Guy suddenly felt that he has an idea.
"Yeah, it's them." Maz said. "But this one seems to be old..."
"Let's go in and check, what's there." said SheZow. A few moments later, everybody was inside and looking around.
"This factory is shut down, but obviously not long ago." said Jack, looking inside a huge canister. "There's a lot of sauce and the other ingredients left."
"And that's great." said SheZow. "Because I have an idea. What is a common reaction for these chips?"
"I'm okay with them, but my brother always has a heartburn when he tries them." said Maz.
"Exactly, my dear partner." SheZow replied. "And we're going to use the heat these chips cause against our cold friend. Listen to me..." the heroine started to explain her plan to the boys.
After a few hours of skating around the town, Timmy noticed the She-Cycle.
"There you are..." Timmy grinned and burst inside the factory. "Come out all of you! I will find you eventually and send you to a freezing tomb!"
"No, Timmy. I am the only one you should deal with." said Jack, slowly coming from around the corner.
"Got you..." Timmy said, preparing the cold energy on his hand.
"Before you freeze me to death..." said Jack with a sad voice. "I want to apologize..."
"You... What?" Timmy felt surprised - he didn't expected Jack to say such things.
"I feel really sorry for what happened to you..." Jack continued. "I had no intention to kill you or to turn you into an icy monster. But after all, I pushed you into that chamber. So, I am guilty."
"Jack... you..." Timmy deactivated the ice energy, slowly approaching Jack. But suddenly Ninja-Steak jumped from behind a pile of boxes and thrown a few bologna cuts at Timmy. He created an ice wall, protecting himself.
"Oh no..." said Jack.
"You almost got me, Jack. But now you are doomed!" said Timmy with an anger building up with every word. I just thought. Oh, he actually fells sorry for his actions, that's so nice"... Good joke. Nobody would ever believe that Jack is sorry for ruining someone's life - he does so every day! But now I'm going to end this. It will be ICE to finally destroy you..." Timmy shot an icy beam at Jack, but SheZow protected him, stopping the beam with the Laser Lipstick.
"Still want to protect this moron? As you wish..." said Timmy. "I'll gladly destroy you as well. Your attitude is too hot pink - it requires some icing!"
"Learn to watch your sides first, you brain freeze!" shouted Maz, approaching Timmy and performing his steak slap once again. The he ran to the side, while SheZow tried to perform another attack on the boy. But Timmy dodged the strike and grabbed the heroine's hand.
"I'm sorry for giving you a cold shoulder." he smirked, as the ice spread around SheZow's body from the place Timmy was holding in his hand. SheZow activated her Laser Lipstick, forcing the boy to release her. Then she broke the ice on her hand with her super strength.
"Give it up, frosty." she said.
"Never!" he said, preparing another icy blast.
"Well..." suddenly, SheZow deactivated her Laser Lipstick and sighed. "I didn't want to do it, but you had that coming."
"What the-" said Timmy, confused.
"Now, boys!" SheZow exclaimed. Timmy looked up only to see Jack and Maz pouring a whole canister of hot sauce on him from above. He got covered in red mass from head to toe. His body started letting out a hissing sound and a steam, as he fell on his knees and screamed in pain.
"Oh, what about the screaming, my dear?" said SheZow. "Your frozen heart is melting?"
"C-curse you, SheZow!" shouted Timmy before passing out. SheZow tied him up in the ribbon.
"He's out." she said. "My job here is done. Now we let the police get him in the right place."
Jack and Maz got down and they all went outside. SheZow got on the She-Cycle.
"Hey, man..." Maz said to Jack. "When you were talking to that boy Timmy... You meant it, right? You really are sorry?"
"Nonsense!" said Jack, crossing his arms. "He became a freak only because his stupid father was one. It has nothing to do with me! I told him all that garbage only to stall him, just as SheZow planned."
"Alright, so you say..." sighed Maz and got on the She-Cycle too. "Are you coming?"
"No, there's clearly no place for three of us on your moto." said Jack. "I'll go myself." Then, the boys left.
Pretty soon after they left, the police arrived at the place and got Timmy to a cell made specifically for metas. He woke up in the cell and tried to use his powers, but nothing happened.
"Don't try, boy, these cells is made specifically to restrain freaks like you." said the guard. "It blocks your powers. you'll never escape." he looked at the side glass he heard the hall door's opening. "You got a visitor here." he said.
Timmy looked up to see his mother staying before the cell door.
"Timmy..." she said with shivering voice, like she was about to cry.
"Yes, mom?" he said.
"I... I'm sorry, Timmy. It's my fault..." she said. "My fear got the best of me and I said lots of horrible things about you. And now you're here, like some monster..." she sniffed. "But I know that my boy is not a monster. So please... Forgive me. Let's go home and live like we've always been living..." Timmy saw the tears coming out of her eyes. He felt he has them too - just like before, they were turning into an icy cubs as soon as they come out of his eyes.
"Keep your tears and apologies to yourself, mom..." he finally said. "I already heard that today and I'm not buying in again. You can go, mom - I'm staying. You're partially right - your boy is not a monster... WAS not. But now he is. I am. These powers... They are a curse. But they are the most wonderful curse I've ever seen!"
"Timmy..." Mrs. Shiverstein looked at her son in terror.
"Don't call me that." he said. "Timmy Shiversteinis no more..." he clenched his fists. "Now my name is Coldfinger." Mrs. Shiverstein left, crying, and Timmy sat on the bed in his cell. "You say I will never escape... Believe it if you want so. But mark my words - I will find a way out of here. And all of you will feel the fear. The fear will freeze you... Especially SheZow." he looked in the void. "You'll get the special dish. A dish served cold. Thad dish is revenge."
