Chapter 70
Jack and Elizabeth were walking around the park for their second lap. They didn't say anything to each other since they have left the doctor's office, but they were walking holding hands. They were processing what happened in the doctor's office just a few minutes ago.
…
"A surprise?" Jack and Elizabeth both stated at the same time while staring at the doctor.
"Yes. A big surprise." Said the smiling doctor. She didn't know Jack or Elizabeth, but she has heard about them. In her limited experience with both of them, they seem like good people.
"Well, Baby A is here, and Baby B is on the right side." The doctor said as she pointed to the screen. "Here is Baby A's head and here is Baby B's head." Again, pointing to the screen. Then she clicked the mouse to take a picture of the screen and printed it off.
"Baby A and Baby B?" Asked Jack.
"Yes." The smiling doctor said.
"How can there be a Baby A and a Baby B?" Jack was an intelligent man, but the news from the doctor was not registering. He couldn't get his mind to engage.
"Twins?" Asked Elizabeth. That was the first word she spoke since the doctor began.
"Yes. You are having twins." The smiling doctor paused for a moment to allow the couple to digest the news.
Jack slowly looked toward Elizabeth, and she was already looking at him. Neither could say a word. They reached for each other's hand at the same time. This was a time when they were going to lean on each other.
The doctor continued. "Typically, twins are a little smaller than their counterparts with a single pregnancy. If there were just one baby, I would say you were six weeks pregnant, but with twins, I would put you at about 8 weeks. So, your due date would be the first part of January. Now, with twins, they usually don't make it to the due date. They will decide when they want to come and see you two."
"We were married two months ago." Whispered Jack.
"Well, then…you are having a honeymoon baby."
Jack and Elizabeth nodded their head. Their minds were in a tailspin.
"Two babies…" Whispered Elizabeth.
"Mom, you and the babies are healthy. Try ginger tea with dry toast and see if that will help with your morning sickness. Generally, having something on your stomach helps too. Now, here are a couple of pictures from the ultra sound. Also, the nurse will have a bag of nice things for you. Make sure you take the vitamins she gives you. That is important for both you and your babies."
"Babies?"
The doctor smiled. "Yes, Elizabeth. Babies. Everything is looking good. I wouldn't change a thing. Now, I will leave you in the hands of the nurse and she will have some things for you. Remember to take the vitamins and listen to your body. When it tells you that you need a nap, take the nap. When it tells you that you need to eat, you need to eat. Make sure you are making good food choices. You will gain more weight with twins, but let's make sure you gain healthy weight." The doctor was smiling at the dazed couple. "Jack…Elizabeth" She stated loud enough to gain their attention. "You two will do great. You will be great parents. Now, take care of each other and we will see you in twelve weeks for another visit. If the babies cooperate, we should be able to tell genders if you are wanting to know that. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office."
The doctor smiled at the couple. She placed her hand on theirs and squeezed their hands to comfort them. "I know this is huge news. Take a deep breath. You two will be great parents." She gave them a smile and excused herself.
…
Viola sat down at her desk in a daze. She didn't know what happened with James. "This has to be what happened with Elizabeth." She whispered.
"Did you get his number?" Asked her secretary.
"What do you mean?"
"Seriously? You two were making lovesick eyes at each other throughout your meeting."
"Be serious, I'm a professional."
"Yes you are, but that doesn't change the fact that you two were giving each other flirty eyes."
"Well, he gave me his number to make plans for coffee."
"That's nice. Did you give him your number?"
"No, he wouldn't take it."
"He wouldn't take it?" Her secretary asked confused.
"He said he didn't want to push me since I was going through a divorce. He said when I wanted too, I can text or call him."
"That's very sweet of him. I hope you call him soon!"
"I plan too." She stated with a little bit of blushing overcoming her face.
…
The nurse walked into the room after knocking on the door. She was holding two bags of goodies. She smiled at the shell shocked couple who was looking at her. "One bag is full of vitamins. Please take two per day. There should be enough until your next visit. The other bag has different types of teas in them along with pamphlets with all kinds of information about twins. Try each tea and see if that helps with your morning sickness. Do try the dry toast, it usually helps. Sometimes saltine crackers will help too. Just try different things to see what works for you."
She hesitated for a moment. "Everything is written down, so you don't have to try and remember. Your next office visit card is in there too."
Elizabeth gave her a small smile.
"Elizabeth, you will do great, both of you will. I know it's a huge surprise, but you will see this as a blessing once the shock wears off. Here are the pictures from this morning's ultra sound."
…
Before they knew it, they were on their second trip around the park. When they were in front of their water fountain, they stopped to sit on their bench.
"Twins…" Started Jack. This was the first words that were spoken since they left the doctor's office.
"Jack…you did this!"
"Sweetheart, we did this."
"Jack!" She cut him off. "You and your silly honeymoon did this!"
"Elizabeth."
"Jack! We are having twins! Twins!" Her voice raised several levels again.
"Yes sweetheart. I was there when the doctor said twins." He chuckled.
"Jack! That's two babies!" She was freaking out and there was no way of stopping it.
"Two? Wait…twins means two? You know, I was never good at math." He tried to make a joke to break her tension and his too. It wasn't working.
Elizabeth just stared at him with a blank expression. Two babies…two sick babies…two dirty diapers…two late night and early morning feedings…two of everything…her mind was running too fast to control it.
She huffed at her husband. "How are you not freaking out?"
"Oh…I am." He stated honestly.
"Jack…how are we going to do this?" The worry on her face was evident.
Jack took both of her hands into his. He gently squeezed her hands and then, with a smooth and gentle motion, rubbed his thumbs over the back of her hands. This continuous motion was soothing to her. "We will do this like we do everything else…together. You and me."
They sat silently for a few minutes. They were processing everything that was said. Elizabeth looked down at the photo of the ultra sound that was in her hands. The heads of her babies were circled with an A and a B over each individual baby. At that moment, she became a mother. Those two little ones were her responsibility now. They were her children and they needed her. She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. When she opened her eyes, she was no longer dismayed or frozen in disbelief. She was a mom. A mom with two babies who were depending on her.
Jack noticed her demeanor change. The look on her face went from shock to determination. He knew that look well. Along with the change in her facial expression, her body posture changed too. Her back straightened, her shoulders were no longer slumped forward in a weak posture, and her head raised with determination. Not only has she just come to terms with the news, now she was determined to handle it. Jack knew that when his Elizabeth was determined to do something, she was absolutely going to do it. He smiled at his incredibility strong wife.
"Those two babies are the luckiest babies in the world."
"How so?" She asked.
"They will have you as a mother." Jack stated as he leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose. She smiled at his gesture.
"I still blame you." She stated.
"Well, it's your fault."
She huffed. "How do you figure that?" She challenged him with a smirk.
"Your dream, silly."
"Oh…I forgot about that."
"Yes, your dream where we had twins and you were pregnant again. See, it's your fault. And what do you mean 'my silly honeymoon?'. You loved our honeymoon. If I remember correctly, you also loved what we did on our honeymoon." He flirtingly teased her.
"I did. It was the best honeymoon ever." With a smile on her face. "I did love what we did on our honeymoon."
"Now, how are we going to do this?" He asked in a little bit of a panic tone.
She looked at him confused. "What do you mean?"
"Elizabeth, twins mean two of everything. Two crying babies…two dirty diapers…two sick babies…" He faded off as he stared off into the distance looking at nothing in particular.
"Wait, a few minutes ago you were so confident. What happened?"
"A little while ago, you needed me to be strong because you were freaking out. Now, you're strong and…"
"It's your turn to freak out." She smiled knowing he was her strength, and she was his strength.
"Yeah. Elizabeth how are we going to do this?"
"We are going to do this together like everything else. You and me."
He smiled at her. She is his strength. "You and me."
After a few minutes of sitting silently holding hands, she noticed the same change in his features as he noticed in hers. She smiled knowing he became a father at that moment.
"We really are each other's strength, aren't we?" She asked.
"Yes, I depend on you."
"Jack, I depend on you as well."
As big as having twins is, they knew they had each other. Whatever was going to happen in their life, they were going to handle it together, as one.
…
Abagail and Henry walked up the sidewalk at Emily's house. They held off Henry as much as they could. He was driving them crazy coming into the living room every three minutes asking if it was time to leave. They decided to pick up Emily early for a light dinner before the game. Emily's parents were fine with the arrangement because Emily was driving them crazy too.
Henry knocked on the door so loud that Abagail though he was going to break it down. Within a couple of seconds, the door flew open with a smiling Emily standing there with her mother walking up behind her.
"You wouldn't believe how long she was been standing at the door." Her mother stated while Emily cut her eyes to her mother.
"Oh, I think I would." Stated Abagail while looking down at Henry. Both ladies laughed at the excitement of their kids. "If it's ok with you, we are planning on getting an early dinner before the game because he couldn't wait to get here and then after the game we may stop and get some ice cream."
"That would be perfect." Emily's mother said.
"Great. Now, here is my cell number if you need to get a hold of us." Abagail handed her number to Emily's mother.
While they walked to Abagail's car, she noticed Emily and Henry walking side by side. They did not hold hands, but they would occasionally touch shoulders while laughing at what the other said. Abagail leaned over and whispered to Frank, "I'm not sure I'm ready for this."
"I understand. At least they are young."
…
Frank, Abagail, Emily, and Henry arrived at the ballpark entirely too early for Henry's game. So, they decided to sit and watch the other teams. Emily and Henry knew some of the classmates on the teams. They enjoyed talking to each other and watching their friends playing.
Abagail looked up and saw Julie and Viola walking up to the bleachers about thirty minutes before Henry's game.
"What are you two doing here?" Abagail asked surprised.
"Well, Henry's first game is today, and we wanted to come and watch him." Julie stated. Julie and Abagail were becoming friends.
"I'm here because my youngest sister made me." Pouted Vi. She didn't know the Hogans very well, but knew they loved her younger sisters. Vi was never close to her sisters growing up. They were just so different. When she met Lionel, he slowly expanded the distance between her and her sisters. Now after she left Lionel, she wanted to rebuild her relationship with her family, especially her sisters. She was hoping they would become good friends.
"Well, I'm glad you two are here. Jack and Elizabeth should be here soon. They had their first doctor appointment today. I'm wondering how it went?"
"I'm sure it went well." Julie stated as she sat down next to Abagail.
…
"So, what's first?" Elizabeth asked.
"Well, I think we did that today with the doctor visit. Make sure you are taking the vitamins they gave, and you are taking care of yourself."
"Jack, promise me something."
Jack smiled at her. She knew that was his way for her to continue.
"Please listen to me. I love that you want to take care of me. There will be a point in the pregnancy where I will have to depend on you more, but not today."
"I know. I will try my best to follow your lead. But Elizabeth, when you actually need help, you have to ask. You can't just lower you head and do it anyways because you don't want to ask for help."
"I promise."
"So, I guess we need to speed up the remodel on our house."
"We should be fine. I will just have to have some people to help me move the things in."
"I can do that."
"No, Elizabeth. You can't. You can't lift anything that is too heavy."
"Oh, yeah. I forgot. I can help with the little stuff."
"Perfect. We will need to make sure we wait a little while after they paint before you can go in."
"Yes."
"I'm guessing by the end of the month we should be ready to begin moving."
"I can't wait!" She exclaimed.
"So, are we going to say anything to anyone about the twins?"
"Do you think you can honestly keep this secret?" She sassed him. Jack told friend or stranger alike that they were expecting. He was so excited about having a baby with Elizabeth that she though he might literally explode if he tried to keep it a secret.
Jack's face turned a little red with embarrassment. He knew he told too many people, but he couldn't help it.
"I think I can keep this secret. For some reason, this is different. I kind of like that only we know and not everyone else."
"Jack…are you feeling ok?" She teased him.
"I'm fine. It's just different. What do you want to do?"
Elizabeth thought about it for a moment. "I think I would like to tell our families but that's it for now."
"Done. I'll tell my ma and Tom. You can tell your mom and dad, Abagail, Julie, and Vi."
"Perfect."
"What about your job?"
"I'm not sure."
"I say do what you feel you can do. With you being due in January, maybe you can teach up to the holidays. Then take your maternity leave until you give birth."
"If I can last that long." She thought for a moment. "Maybe I can take the rest of the year off and then go back in the fall."
"That sounds like a good plan if it will work out that way. We will have to play that by ear. Maybe it's great that ma moved here. She could be helpful, along with your sisters."
"Yes. That will be great."
"Maybe your mom and dad may move here too."
"Who would have thought we would take over Hope Valley." She laughed. "I doubt mother and father will move here, but I would say that mother will be here for a while to help. Are you ok with that?"
"Absolutely. We will do whatever we have to do to make it better for you."
"We better start toward the ballpark so we will make it in time for Henry's game."
Jack stood and extended his hand to help Elizabeth stand. She intertwined her fingers with his as they began walking toward the ball fields. As they walked, they kept brushing shoulders and smiling at each other. There weren't too many words spoken. They were just enjoying each other's company. They were also processing the news of the twins.
For Elizabeth, she was thinking through her dream she has been having. The little boy was named after his father. Jack gave him the nickname of TJ. She knew the dog's name, but she didn't know the little girl's name. She didn't understand that part of the dream.
…
They walked through the gate and noticed Abagail and Frank sitting on the home side of the bleachers. They also noticed Emily and Elizabeth's two sisters were sitting with them.
"Should you tell your group tonight?"
"No. I think I may do it tomorrow. I like the idea of only you and I knowing this for now."
"No problem."
She turned to look at Jack. He could see the doubt in her eyes.
"I'm not saying anything until you do."
"Sure…we'll see." She sassed him as he tugged on her hand.
…
They walked toward the group and Elizabeth sat between Abagail and Vi. Jack sat down behind her beside Frank. Elizabeth leaned back against Jack and rested her arms on Jack's knees. While the ladies continued to talk, she waited for Jack to blurt out the news. After a couple of minutes, he didn't say anything about the twins. He was just talking to Frank about Henry's team. She tilted her head back to capture his attention. He looked down and their eyes connected. Their wordless conversation flowed easily between their eyes. She was shocked he was keeping the secret and he had a look of victory on his face.
"That arrogant look is not becoming on you husband."
"Is that getting easier to say?"
"It is."
He gave her a knowing smile. She returned his smile and he leaned down to kiss her on the tip of her nose. She closed her eyes and let out a small sigh.
Before she could open her eyes, Vi gasped. "It's him!" She exclaimed.
Everyone turned their attention to Vi and she was staring at the ball field. They followed her eyes toward the field and the only thing different was the umpires walked onto the field.
"Viola, we all have that same thought when the umpires arrive. No one likes them."
"It's not that." She whispered.
"Well…what's the problem." Asked Julie.
"It's him…he said he had something to do…"
"It's who?" Asked Elizabeth, Julie, and Abagail at the same time.
"Oh…that's James. The one in all the equipment."
"James?" Asked Elizabeth.
"Yes. Mr. James McKay. He came into he bank today looking for a loan to expand his business."
"So, James?"
Vi looked at her younger sister with an older sister look she has used their entire lives. However, Elziabeth was smirking at Vi.
…
During the evening watching Henry's game, Jack and Elizabeth would steal glances at each other. They knew what the other one was thinking. The idea of twins was still scary, but they were getting used to the news. Their glances didn't go unnoticed by the others, but they knew about the doctor's appointment today. Finally, Abagail couldn't resist any longer.
"So, sis, how was the doctor visit?"
"It was great. I'm good and the little nugget is good."
"That's great." She gave her little sis a smile and her hand a little squeeze. "Now, what do you think about that?" She nodded her head toward Vi.
"I don't know. It's interesting."
"Yeah."
…
Vi has been shaken all evening. Seeing James unexpecting threw her. She was pleased to see him. She couldn't hide the excitement from her face. While he hasn't noticed her due to the crowd, she has certainly noticed him. For some odd reason, he looked even more handsome in his umpire uniform. Throughout the game, she paid close attention to him. He was kind and gentle. While both sides always yelled at the umpires, he took it all in stride, never becoming flustered.
During the middle of the fifth inning when the teams were changing from playing the field to batting, James and his partner were standing on the first base line, and he looked up. Everyone in the stands notice the changed expression on his face. The biggest smile grew on his face. His eyes lit up and his posture changed.
Elizabeth turned to look at her older sister and noticed the growing smile on her face. She also noticed Viola's face turning red. She slowly raised her right hand and gave a small wavy to the umpire. He returned the gesture with an embarrassed expression.
Julie smiled. "Well…What's going on here?"
"Julie!" Exclaimed Vi. "Nothing is going on here."
"Oh, please. Everyone in the stands is wondering what just happened."
"Like I stated earlier, he came in the bank today wanting a loan so he can expand his business."
"Sure. That's the only thing that happened today." Stated Julie with her young sister tone.
The rest of the game was completed with stolen glances between Vi and James. With each glance, Vi's face would glow red with embarrassment. Julie and Elizabeth couldn't help but smile at their older sister.
…
After the game, James looked up toward the stands to look for Viola. They made eye contact and their smiles told the story.
Elizabeth leaned toward and whispered to Vi. "Ok…so, what's going on?"
Viola just stared at her sister.
"You are not fooling anyone. What is going on with you? I have never seen you like this."
"James came by today looking for a loan to buy equipment to expand his company. It was the weirdest thing."
"Weird? How was it weird with someone coming to a bank looking for a loan? That is your job."
"It wasn't that…when we shook hands and introduced ourselves…my finders tingled."
This got Elizabeth's attention. "Tingled?"
Vi nodded her head.
"Wow! That's huge!"
"Yeah…"
"Are you having a problem with this?"
"Well, I'm in the middle of going through a divorce. My marriage wasn't a good one. Maybe I'm just bad at relationships."
"That's silly, Vi. You picked the wrong man. He wasn't right for you, and he acted like it. He acted like a jerk."
"Yes, but I couldn't make it work."
"You couldn't make it work because he didn't want it to work."
Vi nodded. She heard what her sister was saying, but it was still difficult to face her past.
"Are you intrigued with James?"
"Yes, I am."
"Then go slow. Take your time and get to know him. No rush."
"Thank you."
"Now, go and talk to him." Elizabeth gave her older sister a little push on the shoulder.
…
When Jack and Elizabeth walked into their apartment, he could see that Elizabeth was tired.
"Go, lay down on the couch and I will make us some tea. Then we can watch something."
"Thank you." She said as she started toward the couch. She sat down on the couch and handed Jack the remote when he came over with the tea. She wasn't surprised when he turned a baseball game on. After drinking half of her tea, she laid her head down on his lap. He gently began to scratch her head and run his fingers through her hair. It didn't take her very long to fall asleep.
…
TJ and his sister came running back to their parents. Jack and Elizabeth were still sitting on the swing watching their little ones and enjoying the breeze.
"Ma, Ma" TJ yelled as he ran toward his mother.
"You know, I never thought I would be called Ma."
"I'm sorry about that. He heard me call my ma that and he just copied it."
"That's ok…I just hope he is not bringing me another bug." Elizabeth shuttered at all the times her little boy would bring her a bug to look at. She never understood why he did that. She doesn't like bugs at all.
"Ma! Ma! Look what I found." He yelled with excitement.
"Please don't let it be a spider. Please don't let it be a spider." She whispered out loud.
Jack smiled. He knew exactly what TJ was bringing. "I'll save you." He sassed.
"Momma! Momma!" The little beauty yelled as she was running beside her brother.
Elizabeth closed her eyes for just a moment. Saying a prayer of thanks for her two little ones.
When her eyes opened, two beautiful little faces were standing in front of her with huge smiles.
"Ma." "Momma." Both kids stated at the same time.
"Ok, TJ. Sister goes first."
"But dad, she always goes first."
"Because a gentleman always insists a lady to go first."
Elizabeth smiled at the type of dad Jack was. He showed his little boy love and how to be a man. However, the most important aspect for Elizabeth was his patience and love for his children.
"Is that why she was born first?" TJ asked.
"Yes, son. Now Cinderella, what do you have for your momma?"
"Wait. Daddy, did you call me TJ? My name is Jack. Just like you." He stated with pride in his voice and his little chest sticking out.
"Yes. Your name is Thomas Jack Thorton, just like me. It is confusing when momma or someone else calls out the name Jack. Are they referring to you or to me?" TJ nodded his head. "Son, what if we called you TJ? Thomas begins with T and Jack begins with J. So, TJ will refer to you. That way we will know who people are talking to."
Elizabeth and Jack could see his little mind working. The little boy looked at his momma. "Ma?"
"I like it. It reminds me of your father and your grandfather. Everyone called him Tom. That begins with a T too."
"I'll still be named after daddy?"
"Yes. No one will ever be able to take that away from you."
"After thinking about it for a little bit longer, he finally agreed. "Ok. Now I will be TJ after daddy and grandpa."
Jack and Elizabeth both smiled at the little boy.
The little girl extended her hands. In one hand was five daisies she pulled from the flower bed and in her left hand was three rollie polies. Elizabeth never understood the fascination her daughter had with rollie polies.
"Oh, the flowers are beautiful." Elizabeth's smile grew at her daughter's happy expression.
"What about the rollie polies, momma?"
"They're nice too. Why don't you take them back to the flower bed before they die?" She stated trying to hand them back to her daughter as fast as possible. "I'll take the flowers into the house when we go inside in a few minutes.
"My turn, Ma!" the little boy said with enthusiasm.
Elizabeth turned to look at Jack looking for help.
TJ handed his mother a handful of different flowers he found in the yard. And with a little smirk she recognized that he got from the little boy's father, TJ opened his other hand and a little spider was in the center of his hand.
"TJ" She called out with a loud squeal. The little boy giggled at his mother's response.
"Son, take the spider back to the flowerbed with your sister. You two have five minutes before we need to go in and you two need a bath."
"But daddy…" They both said while turning their eyes toward him. "TJ, even though your mother cleaned you off a few minutes ago, you look like you haven't taken a bath in weeks." He turned his attention to her mother's clone. "And you, little one, look like your brother. You both need a bath."
Both kids frown knowing they lost that battle. Jack placed his hand on top of their heads and turned them. "Now go." He stated as he tapped them on their little bottoms.
As they watched their little ones run off, Elizabeth stated. "I think it is TJ's intention to scare me to death with spiders."
"I'm sorry. He takes that after me. I did that all the time when I was little. At least we have kept them out of the creek for now."
"Great…something to look forward too.
Elizabeth opened her eyes when Jack adjusted his position on the couch. She had fallen asleep with her head on Jack's lap while they were watching a baseball game. A small laugh escaped her lips when she noticed what Jack was watching now. It was a movie on the Hallmark channel. He loved the station even though he never admitted it. She would often catch him watching it.
Jack noticed his wife was awake. "Hey, did you have a good nap?"
"I did. Thank you for letting me sleep."
"No problem. You must have been tired. You normally don't nap. Those babies must be making you tired."
"Yeah. Hey, what are you watching?" She smirked at him.
"Oh, nothing. Just channel surfing."
"With the remote on the coffee table?"
Trying to change the conversation away from the Hallmark Channel, Jack asks. "Are you ready for bed?"
"Yeah. You know, I had a dream."
"Yeah? What about?"
"The same dream about the twins like before. I pick it up from the last dream and it continued." She told him about the dream. He laughed at the spider incident.
"We do need to decide on the baby's names, but I don't think I want a boy named after me."
"We'll talk about it." She stated. Secretly, she already knew she was going to name her son after Jack, if they had a boy. Elizabeth was still confused that she didn't know the little girl's name.
"Elizabeth, I wonder why you don't know the girl's name? Isn't that odd?"
"I don't know."
…
Viola walked down the bleachers and noticed that James was walking in her direction with a smile that she knew stopped her heart.
"It's a surprise to see you here." He began.
"Yeah. I came to watch a friend's son play. What are you doing here?"
"Well, I umpire for the little leagues."
"Why? No matter what you do, you make half the people mad at you."
"Yeah, that's the worse thing about this. I love the kids and I do it for them."
"That's very nice of you."
"Well…my father always taught me to give back. This is my way of doing that. The leagues have a shortage of umpires."
"I would think so with the way people yell at you all the time."
James gave her a smile. She noticed his smile moved her in a way she has never been moved before. Vi didn't know that he was thinking the same thing. Her smile touched him, and it scared him a little. He hasn't been interested in a woman since his nasty divorce. However, this lady was different.
"Well, what about a cup of coffee?"
Before he could think, "Well, I normally don't drink coffee this late, but what about ice cream?"
"Perfect."
…
"Does it bother you that you haven't dreamed our daughter's name?"
Elizabeth thought about it for a few moments. "Maybe a little, but I don't know if bother is the right word. I don't understand why. I mean, I have seen the house, the boy and girl, and I am pregnant again. I know the boy's name and the dog's name. I don't know why I don't know the girl's name."
"It is a little weird. Do you think we are having a boy and a girl?"
She tried to hide her smile.
"You do, don't you?"
She nodded her head up and down with a little smile. "What do you think?"
"I'm not sure. I know it's only a dream. I haven't placed a lot of thoughts on dreams."
She nodded.
What the other didn't know was that they both thought the dream was foretelling their future. After all, the house was exactly the same. Both, Elizabeth and Jack, were wearing huge smiles at the thought of the dream playing out.
Just a little personal note:
Ig is the nickname I gave my daughter before she was born. I refused to call my kid it. My mom hated it and would often fuss at me for using it. I used it until she was born. I actually made her a toy chest that I engraved Ig into it. That portion of this story follows my real life version. I'm not sure how I came up with Ig, but I did. My sense of humor is a little different.
How Fast is Too Fast is the second story I wrote but it is the first and only story posted. The first story I wrote is still saved on my computer unfinished. I'm on chapter twenty seven of it. I love the story and the direction of it but was unhappy with the writing. I can tell it was my first attempt. I have begun reworking it. It's not even titled yet. It's about the time frame with Charles and it includes him.
No, I am unknown.
