A/N: 10 days after the last chapter.

Working overnight shifts was not something Arizona loved but it was part of the job. She was standing in one of the hallways that didn't get much foot traffic to try and get her mind to stop racing after a stressful surgery.
A surgery where Ben Greer stood across the table, because of course he was the one working to fix a little boys arm while she took care of a liver laceration. And of course Greer had decided to make some pointed comments about seeing the same sights around Seattle as she had to try and get under her skin.
Arizona pressed herself against the wall and closed her eyes.
"Oh, sorry," Ben said as he came down the hallway and saw her there. "No one usually is here this time of night."
"Don't be shy on my account," Arizona said sarcastically.
"No idea what you're talking about, Dr. Robbins." Ben came a bit closer and stood about ten feet from her.
"I know you and Dr. Torres slept together. And I know you just spent a rather grueling surgery making comments about it to get under my skin. Either tell me why, or get the hell away from me, alright?" Arizona sighed.
"I'm heading back east," Ben said. "So, tonight was my last shift here. Thought before I left I might as well say what I wanted since you can't fire me anymore."
"I've known for almost two months about your trip to the on-call room, Greer. I haven't fired you and I haven't tried. I'm understandably pissed about, it but the fall out is between Dr. Torres and me, not you and me," Arizona said. She looked around when she thought she heard footsteps but shook her head. Maybe she really was going crazy.
"I don't know how someone could have a woman like Dr. Torres and throw her away for Boswell," Ben said. If he was going to leave the next day, he might as well do some damage. Callie told him she wouldn't see him anymore, because of Arizona after all.
"Walk away, Greer," Arizona hissed out.
"Or what?" Ben snorted. "You going to kick my ass?"
"If I tell you to say whatever you want, will you leave me alone?" Arizona finally asked. She bit back a comment about her connections at other hospitals or how easy it would be to have him never see the inside of an OR again. She didn't want to say anything he could use to claim she was targeting him. She didn't have time for a harassment case on top of everything else.
Ben's lip curl. He had hoped she would be more upset than she was, but he felt like he could at least do enough damage to make up for the pining that he had done since Callie pulled him in that on call room.
"Want to hear about how I fucked her, do you, Dr. Robbins?" Ben scoffed. "Is that what you're asking me?" He asked when her face turned to stone but she didn't say anything. "I had been hitting on her for months. And finally she asked me if I wanted to have sex. What man wouldn't jump for a chance to get a woman like Callie Torres in bed? Right? I just didn't expect her to be fucking willing, you know? I mean, you must know."
Arizona's fists balled at her side but she didn't raise to the bait. She told him to say what he wanted, and she hoped if she just stood here and took it, he would go away.
"Not enough for you?" Ben asked before chuckling. "I didn't take you for the type, Dr. Robbins but alright. I'll tell you more," he said with a sneer. "Been a while since I've been with someone that ti…" He trailed off when he saw Callie standing at the end of the hallway with a look of rage in her eyes.
"Leave. Now!" Callie demanded.
Ben stood his ground a minute before running away.
Arizona let her head drop back against the wall and she focused on holding herself up and breathing. She shook her head slightly as images filled her mind against her will.
"How messed up is it that I wish Mark was alive because you sleeping with him would have at least made sense?" Arizona asked with her voice cracking.
"I'm sorry," Callie whispered as she kept her eyes down the hallway and off Arizona.
"I am not trying to push things under the rug or not deal with them," Arizona said before she pressed her palms to her eyes to try and keep herself from crying. "But right now I need you to walk away and let me just stand here for a little bit."
"Arizona," Callie turned and looked at her. She could see her shaking slightly and the tactic she used when she didn't want to cry.
"If that had been Boswell and you had to listen, would you want to see me right now?" Arizona asked.
Callie's breath caught. "No."
"We'll talk. We will. I swear. But please, please don't make me do it right now," Arizona begged. "I opened this door and you walked through it. I know it's on me for causing all this. But I just need a minute alone."
Callie breathed out slowly. "Alright," She whispered before walking away.
