Naruto and Jiraiya were standing on a bluff overlooking a beachfront house, its white walls, red tile roof, and fancily carved doors screamed money. Sure they now knew where Gato was on the island, thanks to a hand-drawn map by Neihay, but that didn't make getting to it any easier.
While they could look down on the property from the cliffs above, they could hardly cross the clear cut surrounding it without being spotted by someone. There was easily six hundred yards of open terrain between the entrance to the cove and the high wall that surrounded the villa.
Rubbing his eye Naruto pulled his spyglass back up and looked down at the people below. They had been watching the property now off and on for two days, learning the guard patterns, scouting points of entrance, and catching the ever so brief sight of their true target.
Naruto handed the glass to the man beside him "I count thirty-four today, that's two more then yesterday." pulling his notebook out he marked the two men down as part of the tally he had going. "Well, it also didn't help that Kakashi put everyone under Gato on edge, hell the port was crawling with those thugs last night and not a single one of them was drunk."
Looking through the glass Jiraiya noted the increased speed at which the thugs moved. The Post office massacre must have struck them hard because now they were almost acting like trained soldiers, almost. "See the bamboo garden off to the right of the house? That's the second group that failed to check in there."
"Yeah, but yesterday it was checked almost every time it was passed by." Naruto responded as he marked the garden as a possible point to get onto the estate. "How did your student deal with you for as long as shes been with ya, I can barely tolerate a few hours."
"Well, you said it yourself you needed names, and I can get them."
"Yeah, when I said I would work with you, I didn't mean directly beside you…" Naruto thought back to the morning that they had cut a deal. "Remember this is just a trial run anyways."
(Flashback)
It had taken nearly four hours to look over the massive amount of blackmail that Neihay had amassed, and while there was no concrete agreement between the different groups there was one thing that was agreed upon. Gato needed to die, and quick.
Everyone needed to take a break and get some air. Naruto on the other hand still had something more pressing than Gato on his mind at the moment, Karin. Walking over to the bed he looked down at her and pulled the covers over her. Sweat poured off her as she slept, her broken ribs coupled with the humid sea air had formed the worst possible outcome, pneumonia. She needed medicine something more then just the painkiller he had been giving her.
The tea he made was just something to help her sleep, it would do little for the root cause of the issue. There was at least a little bit of a silver lining to be had though, thanks to the people who called Uzu home, he knew what worked best to heal her.
Infections of the throat were common on the humid island of Uzu, and a lot of those infections turned into pneumonia because of the moisture in the air surrounding the island. But in this case it was caused by blunt trauma to the chest.
Turning and walking out the of the hut he was met with a pink sky as the sun rose. "Pink sky in mornin, sailor take warning…" he thought out loud as he walked over to the small fire that was still going outside. While his mind was still on the girl inside he had another issue to deal with, namely the pair that caused the problem "So your offer is what, you get me names of the various Templars across the Elemental Nations and in exchange you want what?"
Pulling his hands away from the fire Jiraiya stood up and looked towards the hooded man "In exchange for my help with rooting out the various people I need your skills as a fighter. In Mizu no Kuni there is a civil war going on and the Bloodline Faction is in dire need of skilled fighters."
"So let me get this right, you want me and Isu to come to Mizu and help fight that war?" Naruto asked making sure he understood the man correctly "I am not a mercenary for hire, and I won't put those I care about in danger like that. Sorry no deal."
"Look I've been backing the bloodline faction for a few years now, and while there is a lot I can do by myself, there are places you an Isu could get that I can't go since I'm so well known. Hell up until recently I was in the mountains training Hirumi here and even then I had to be careful heading into town."
"I'll be honest I don't really care if you were up in the mountains or if you were digging a tunnel to the center of world. I have a dear friend right laying in bed because of your student with a bad case of pneumonia." Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to figure out what to do. "Look let's call this a trial run, I'll work with you for now. My main two concerns are Isu, and the total destruction of that gas."
"Good, good, its a step in the right direction!" Jiraiya smiled latching on to the fact that he said they would work together.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have some herbs to find so that Isu might get better." Naruto replied as he turned as walked towards the woods, stopping he turned and looked back towards the pair "Ya know I forgot to ask your name."
"Ero-sensei, is what I call him, or if you feel like giving him a little respect you can call him Jiraiya." Naruko responded beating the toad hermit to the punch.
"Ero-sensei huh? Then I think I'll call ya Old perv." Naruto said as he turned and walked away, never seeing the man grab his chest in fake pain.
(Flashback End)
Taking the glass back from Jiraiya, Naruto placed it back in his pouch and turned to walk back into the woods. "We've seen all we can today, lets get back." he jumped into the trees not even waiting for a response from the man.
Jiraiya had to agree though, unless they waited all day for a clear opening, something that wasn't going to happen, they were just wasting time at this point. Turning and following the hooded man he couldn't help but wonder about him.
Everything about him pointed to him being from Konoha, from him knowing Kakashi's ANBU code name and habits, to the use of leaves in his Shunshin. But he didn't recognize the man, nor did Mariner recognize him meaning it wasn't Itachi under that hood.
That left the question of who was hidden under the shadow of the hood.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by the refection of steel from the corner of his eye. Pushing backwards he watched as tree he was about to land on was covered in kunai. There were only four people on the island who had the skill to pull off an ambush, and since he was allied with all but one, he knew who the attacker was.
Question is how did he find them?
Dropping to the ground he took off in the direction of open space, he knew fighting Kakashi in the trees like this was tantamount to suicide. He was hoping that Kakashi either missed Mariner or that he somehow got around the ANBU.
Landing in a clearing Jiraiya scanned the tree line trying to catch sight of the masked jonin. Once more he was greeted with a hailstorm of kunai forcing him to flip out of the way. He knew it was just a ploy and the real attack would come from somewhere else.
His eyes widened as a shadow obscured his sight when he landed on his feet, he knew Kakashi was fast but there was no way he could have crossed the open field in the time it took for him to flip out of the way.
The masked nin was above him, his sole eye showing pure rage at the man as he lashed out with a kunai intent on stabbing the man below him. He was so close to the greatest enemy to the Order, so close to the person who brought his master down from on high.
Sparks flew as steel met steel and the screeching of wind deafened him. His once sharp kunai, the one so close to ending Jiraiya, was cut in half like warm butter sending the blade flying off into the distance. Reacting quick to the new threat Kakashi spun in midair and struck out with his leg forcing the newest arrival to jump out of the way.
Landing on the ground a little ways away from the pair he took a good look at the man beside Jiraiya. His green cloak blending in perfectly with background and his outstretched black swords held at the ready.
Feeling a slight sting on the side of his cheek he reached up and touched it, the warm liquid coating his fingers as he looked down at his hand. The man had somehow gotten a small strike in on him.
Jiraiya couldn't hardly believe it, Mariner had managed to nick Kakashi. Something that should have been impossible for anyone who wasn't bordering on an A rank in the bingo books. Yet here he was fast enough to cut the man's cheek with a sword.
A predatory grin spread across the hooded man's face as Kakashi glared at him. "Tag, your it…"
The Creed Reborn
Naruko was dressed in simple civilian clothes as she stood in the woods trying to find herbs for the girl she kicked. But even if she was trying to blend into the island population, she was still a shinobi meaning that she always had a weapon on her.
Under her long-sleeved shirt was her wrist mounted kunai holder, and right now she was debating if she needed it.
Standing before her was a brown-haired teen wearing a maroon shirt with a giant scroll on his back, as if the scroll wasn't a giveaway that he was a shinobi then the Konoha headband sealed the deal. "Sorry miss have you seen a man with silver hair and a band like mine covering his right eye?" he asked breathlessly.
Holding the basket so as to cover her wrist Naruko shook her head "No sorry I haven't." her eyes darted all around trying to see if he was alone or if the rest of his team was laying in wait to attack her. 'What should I do, it would be simple to kill him while he's out of breath and his guard is still down, but if I do that I would be telling the rest of them that there are shinobi here.'
"Damn it! That useless perv said he would be right back when he took off with that pug and that was nearly an hour ago!" the boy said finally catching his breath as he stood upright. "Sorry about that, I'm Shinya, Shinya Nagakura." he said extending his hand.
Taking a step back from the teen she eyed the hand with suspicion. "Hirumi, I don't know my surname." she said preparing to attack if he made any sudden moves.
"I guess Gato killed your family huh?" he said looking Hirumi before shifting his gaze off into the woods, "That seems to be the theme around here, the man took over the island for shipping and the people just let him because they thought he would help them. Then after taking it over he turns an kills anyone who disagreed with him. They should have corrected that man a long time ago."
Naruko just watched and listened as the teen talked to himself, never saying anything contrariety to what he said. "Sorry, I've been on my own for a while and I've never seen you before." After all her sensei said the easiest way to get caught is having a complicated backstory.
"Huh, oh I guess you wouldn't, you see" he pointed up to his head band "me and my team are from Konoha. We were sent here on a mission so that this guy Tazuna could finish building the bridge without Gato and his goons interfering."
Even she had to admit the goal sounded admirable on the surface, but if this was a mission for Konoha and since Gato was a part of the Templars Naruko knew there was more to the story. Question was how she was going to get more info without tipping her hand.
"Shin!" she heard a female's voice yell turning her head off to the side she was greeted with the sight of eight people walking towards them. "See sensei I told you it was Shin!"
"You did, now pipe down. Just because we are a ways off from the village doesn't mean you can just yell and not expect for someone to hear you." a man with a goatee said snuffing the cigarette he was smoking out with his foot. "Think of it like this Ino, had we been near the pirates, and you yelled like that you could have gotten you team killed."
"Sorry sensei."
Naruko seeing the two teams of ninja walking towards her quickly realized that she was out matched, and her only course of action now was to quickly get out of there. "It was nice to meet you Shinya, I need to get these herbs back and crushed before they wilt." Naruko said as she turned to walk away.
"You don't have to worry their allies, they won't hurt you." he said hoping that he could convince her to stay.
The hair on her neck rose as she saw the smoking jonin eyeing her. "Sorry I really have to go, I hope you stay safe." she started walking into the woods the whole time she felt the eyes of Asuma boring into her back. It irritated her, no it made her furious, she took a deep breath to calm herself as she walked way. There was no point in giving herself away now.
Asuma lit another cigarette as he watched the girl walk off. Something was telling him that he knew her but couldn't place where he knew her from. Glancing to his left he could tell Gai was thinking the same thing as he was, so he wasn't crazy after all.
"Yosh! Shinya, where is your team? Isn't my eternal rivial supposed to be with you?" Gai asked taking his eyes off the girl as she disappeared into the woods. He would have to talk to Asuma about her later.
"Yeah Sensei was training us, until he saw something and took off. Me, Sasuke and Mai all broke off and started searching for him when he didn't come back after a half hour." Shin replied "If any of us found him we were suppo-"
A sharp whistle cut him off as he looked through the canopy to see a bright amber glare. Not even thinking Shin too off running in the direction of the flare. Everyone in the Konoha Shinobi corps carried at least one. It was made for one purpose a life-or-death emergency where the only hope you had was a wide area signal hoping that there would be more friendlies in the area then enemies.
The question was now, who used it.
The Creed Reborn
Tossing the bladeless kunai away Kakashi eyed the pair before him. True Jiraiya was a dangerous shinobi one that warranted his full attention if he was going to try an beat him in a straight up fight, but the hooded man standing off to his side just proved he was at least high B class.
Kakashi was listed in the bingo books as an A ranked shinobi, his repertoire of various jutsus gave him a long list of options he could use to counter just about anything. This coupled with his speed advantage gave him a slight edge over the wanted Toad Sage.
By himself Jiraiya was at least high A bordering on S rank, if given the time to use his sage arts he was at least on par with his student and current Hokage, Minato, in raw killing potential, even if he lacked the speed to match him in a fight.
He had hoped that he could end the biggest threat in that sneak attack and capture the hooded man after, but now that chance had flew out the window and he was facing a pair of nins.
"Thanks for the save Mariner." Jiraiya said shifting into a combat stance. He watched as the man flipped his left blade into a reverse grip and shifted something under his hood with his thumb.
"Don't mention it." Naruto said as his eyes watched the man move his headband out of the way exposing a sharingan.
Tightening the grip on his swords Naruto took off running towards the right as Jiraiya broke left. The deadly game of tag had just begun in earnest.
Figuring the cloaked man was the weakest of the two Kakashi focused more on the known threat, and only paid enough attention to the man to avoid any strikes he made.
"Fire Style: Flame Bullet!" Jiraiya yelled sending a compressed ball of fire towards the Copy nin.
Ducking under the ball Kakashi shot towards the man as the smell of burnt hair filled the air as it sailed over his head. About halfway towards the sage something told him to move, and fast.
"First Stance: Whirlpool!" Naruto had moved in front of the ball of fire he used his wind enhanced swords like a fan, adding fuel to the flames and sending it flying towards Kakashi.
Naruto watched in slow motion as the flames landed and a flaming log was sent flying from the inferno. "Tch." he turned on his heels and the flat of his blade deflected the handful of shuriken sent his way.
"Earth Style: Impalement!" Kakashi yelled slamming his foot on the ground, pointed spears of earth shot up from the ground in a circular fashion around Naruto, aiming to cut off his escape and impale him.
"Sixth Stance: Break!" Naruto slammed the tips of the blades into the ground shattering the earth around him, like the ground was filled with explosives, breaking Kakashi's hold over the earth spears.
Kakashi couldn't even move to attack while the man pulled his blades out of the ground as he was forced to block a kick from Jiraiya. The impact rattled his wrist as he brought his elbow down trying to break the offending leg.
Still locked against Kakashi's side Jiraiya pushed off and preformed a spinning kick sending Kakashi flying from the impact when he was unable to block.
Standing just a few feet from Naruto at this point he looked over and saw the man was back into his fighting stance. "Hows your head Kakashi, need some ice?" he heard him say as he walked up beside Jiraiya.
"Funny coming from the nameless Seven Swordsmen reject." Kakashi spat back trying to clear his vision from the impact.
"I thought it was. Tell me how did that bastard Minato convince you to step down as an ANBU commander, huh Inu?" At this point Kakashi wanted to know who it was he was talking to if they knew his old code name. "Ya, know I don't really care how he did it."
Almost as if there was a silent signal the three moved once more. Forming a single hand seal Kakashi summoned two clones that broke off and attacked Naruto while he focused on Jiraiya.
(With Jiraiya)
Jiraiya watched as the clones directed their attention towards Mariner before focusing back in on the man before him. Jiraiya knew he was at a disadvantage in speed an even with the help of Mariner he didn't have the time to summon Ma and Pa for senjutsu. No he would have to stall for now.
Touching the seal on the underside of his wrist he summoned his walking stick to give himself a slight advantage of reach over Kakashi. While he was no Hiruzen Sarutobi with a bow staff he could still hold his own.
Grabbing the long staff, he stabbed it towards Kakashi forcing the man to divert from his direct lest he impale himself on it. Seeing the man flank right Jiraiya pulled his staff back just in time to deflect the kick Kakashi had lashed out with.
With his shin meeting the hard wood of the staff and not its target Kakashi quickly fell back outside of the range of the man. Thinking quickly, he ran through a few hand signs before holding two fingers up to his chin "Fire Style: Burning Cross…"
Flames flew from his fingertips he stared down the Great Toad Sage, swiping his hand in an X pattern he sent the cross forward.
Seeing the size of the X, Jiraiya instantly realized that he had limited options to dodge it. Diving to the side his eyes widened when he realized he just broke the same rule he was using against Naruko, never go airborne against a faster opponent. A leg impacted his side and sent him flying into the ground.
Impacting the ground Jiraiya rolled on his side as blood an bile spilled onto the ground. "Tell me Master Jiraiya how does it feel to be on the receiving end of our might?" Kakashi glared down at the man as he twirled a kunai on his finger. "Had you not kidnapped the weapon this meeting might have went very different and you could have been on the correct side of history, but now you will be placed beside Itachi as one of the greatest traitors of Konoha." Gripping the kunai Kakashi brought it down on the man, the action was met with a smirk.
Looking at the blood that had spilled out from the man Kakashi's eyes widened when he realized that the seal master had used charka to form a seal using his own blood.
And explosion rocked the clearing and two forms shot from the dust and smoke. Blood dripped from Kakashi's arm as he glared at the dust cloud that was starting to settle. He could see the shadow of Jiraiya on the other side, but something was different, something that gave the copy nin a sinking feeling.
"Lets try this again Kakashi." Jiraiya said as dust cleared enough for him to lock eyes with the masked nin. On his shoulders were two small toads. His nose was covered in toad like warts, his eyes had black bars running through the middle of them and he had red pigments covering his face. But blood dripped from his wart covered face showing that his last-ditch effort had affected him worse than it did Kakashi and that he was only running on the power of nature right now.
"Jiraiya-boy we are going to have a long conversation about interrupting meals I work so hard to cook…" a female toad said resting her hands on a small walking stick. Her eyes fixed on Kakashi as she talked to her summoner.
"Well, this is more important than lunch Ma. It looks like ya luck finally run out." a male toad said as he gently brushed his beard with his hand. "But I don't see the tadpole with ya boy, where is she?"
"Somewhere safe Pa. Lets worry about him before we start playing twenty questions."
"How right you are." the elderly toad replied talking like he was just getting ready to talk a walk before a meal "Then shall we."
"Sage Art: Bath of Burning Oil!" Jiraiya yelled as his cheeks puffed out and he spewed brownish oil, Ma added fire to the long stream of flammable oil, and Pa used his wind manipulation to turn the already deadly bath of flames into something akin to the flames of Hell.
(With Naruto at the start of the fight)
Naruto charged at the pair of shadow clones. He had fought Itachi enough to know that while the clones were equal to their creator in nearly every aspect they lacked two things, charka, and durability.
Pulling a kunai from his holster one of the clones threw it while the other formed hand seals "Kage Kunai Technique!" the single kunai turned into twenty as it flew towards Naruto.
"First Stance: Whirlpool!" Naruto yelled deflecting the hailstorm his eyes never leaving the clone that threw the kunai as it sped towards him hoping to pin him in between the pair. "Fourth Stance: Mirage." he said calmly raising his free sword and dropping it point down.
The sharingan could to some degree predict the path and actions of others, that was if the owner of said sharingan was able to survive a technique that was the same or similar. The more a sharingan saw, the more the owner remembered, and the more possible outcomes it was able to see. Naruto knew this because Itachi taught him everything he could about the eyes knowing that one day he would have to face the famed eyes.
But Itachi, unlike Kakashi, had seen the six of the seven stances Naruto commonly used, meaning he had some knowledge and some idea on how to counter Mirage.
To Kakashi the man before him faded from his sight and disappeared as the sword struck the ground. It wasn't until the clone felt a sharp pain in its back did, he realized that it was a speed technique. The clone went up in smoke as Naruto reappeared back where he was before.
Seeing that the man before was more skilled then he thought, the last clone hung back and eyed the hooded man. "Impressive for someone who is in his late teens, where did he find you at? Somewhere in Kiri?" Kakashi asked as Naruto grabbed the pair of swords and prepared for the next encounter.
"Kiri, cant say I've ever been." Naruto said eyeing the man. If he didn't have his eye uncovered he was sure there was no way he could keep up with the man before him, hell if these weren't clones he was positive he would have lost just because he would be facing the real deal.
"I find that hard to believe, your skill in kenjutsu is up there with some of the best in Kiri." at this point the clone was fishing for any info on the man before him, someone that could one day be a bigger problem then the old Sage, or an ally to induct into the order. "What's your name?"
"Someone who isn't important." Naruto replied "Tell me something Inu. What does Minato and the Templars have planned after the gas?" he grinned as the masked man bristled.
'Forget ally, he needs to die, he knows too much.' Kakashi thought "I was hoping for a possible peaceful ending between you an me, but…" he started running through a long string of hand seals. "now you have to die! Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!"
Breathing out fire like it was a standard fireball Naruto watched as a flame covered dragon raised its head out of the inferno and glared at its prey "Well shit…" he had been banking on the fact that since they were clones he wouldn't have to deal with large scale jutsu. "Third Stance: Streak!"
To Kakashi the dragon landed on the hooded man making him smirk at the end of a possible thorn in the Order's side. "Damn that was close!" He was getting ready to dispel himself when he realized that the man was still alive and standing about thirty feet away from the impact zone.
Brushing a few burning sparks off his cloak Naruto looked back to the dragon, its flaming visage looking like it was snarling at him. Kakashi was still in control of the jutsu and directed it to attack the threat.
Opening its mouth, it launched a handful of smaller fireballs towards the man "Steak!" he yelled again leaving an after image that was scattered by one of the fireballs. Realizing that it missed the semi sentient jutsu swiped its long tail in the direction of man as he reappeared. "Fifth Stance: Vacuum!" holding his blades so that the flat side was facing the incoming tail Naruto swung. The super-heated air clapped like thunder as all the oxygen was sucked out of the fire.
Unable to hold its form any longer from the damage the flaming dragon fizzed out spreading fire across the clearing. Naruto looked like a green hooded demon as he swiped his sword down parting the flames between him and the clone. "How about we wrap this up eh Inu?"
Pulling out a pair of kunai, Kakashi held them in a reverse grip as arcs of electricity danced across the blades "Indeed."
(Jiraiya)
Watching the fires of hell burn down Jiraiya prepared for the next attack. He knew that in his current state him an Kakashi were still evenly matched. If he hadn't had to blow himself up and gotten to summon the Sages sooner he would have had this fight finished by now.
And he didn't have to wait long for the man to show himself.
Leaning back a fist barely skimmed over his chin as the man launched himself up from the ground, his hair was singed and he could tell he had been burned by the heat because the mans face mask had fused itself with his cheek. But the man still fought like his wounds didn't affect him.
Jiraiya was launched back, he might have dodged the fist but he missed the knee following it. He was sure that if his body wasn't fueled with nature charka right now he would have a broken jaw from the impact.
Skidding across the ground he quickly ran through seals "Earth Style: Stone Bullet!" Jiraiya yelled launching a large, hardened stone towards Kakashi.
Lighting arced from Kakashi's hand as he swiped the incoming ball away, he knew that justus was out of his reach right now but he was still able use pure elemental manipulation and lighting was his specialty. Rushing the man he tried to used their close proximity against him, each strike Jiraiya blocked sent thousands of volts through him, and he wasn't the only one effected.
The Toad sages felt each an every volt as well. Finally seeing an opening Pa quickly capitalized on it. "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" the small toad expelled a compressed torrent of wind point blank as Kakashi tried to attack again launching him across the field.
Seeing the man flying Jiraiya launched himself at the man, his charka enhanced kick created a small sonic boom as it added to the already impressive speed at which Kakashi was launched. The trio watched as he was sent flying deep into the forest trees cracked as they impacted his body and dust was sent flying.
"Sorry my boy it was all I was able to do in a short time frame." Pa said still trying to regain feeling in his hands and feet.
"No it was more then enough Pa." Jiriaya said as he took a quick glance over at the other side of the clearing just in time to watch clone's fire jutsu be snuffed out. The more he saw from man the more impressed he was with the skill he had, even if all he was fighting was clones they were still clones of the Copy Nin Kakashi.
"That man, who is he to ya my boy?" the elderly toad asked eyeing the hooded man as he engaged the clone in a deadly dance of blades. Sparks and shards of metal flew as the pair fought.
"Someone I'm hoping can help us with some of our problems." he mumbled as he slumped down his body losing most of its strength as the bulk of his nature charka left his system. Coughing he held his hand over his mouth as blood leaked out from in between his fingers. "Never...doing...that...again." he managed to say after spitting out the remaining blood. At the time a blood drawn explosive seal sounded like a good idea but looking back he regretted his idiotic choice of seals.
He knew Kakashi was still alive, the clone currently fighting Mariner was proof that he was, but Jiraiya had neither the strength or charka to go and find the man in the woods, and he knew that Kakashi was in just as bad a state as he was right now, if not worse.
(Naruto)
"And he swings and misses, oh but wait, Naruto goes in for the dismemberment, but at the last second the perv deflects! This is shaping up to be a fight for the story books folks!" a voice yelled in Naruto's head.
"Not helping…" Naruto mumbled as he locked blades once more with the man, gritting his teeth Naruto tried to push the man back before turning his blades and letting the wight of the man slide past him. Each strike with the man was like grabbing a hold of an eclectic eel in the waters of Uzu.
The flat of his sword met the tip of a kunai as Kakashi tried to stab him in the back. Spinning on the balls of his feet he lashed out with his second sword as Kakashi flipped over it.
It was fights like this that reminded Naruto why kunai were the go-to choice of weapons for shinobi. His short swords were good, even if they were just copies, but they lacked the maneuverability of the kunais.
Bringing his sword up he felt his arm start to tingle as the wind enhanced blade was blocked by a pair of kunai.
Each strike against the blades might have made his arms go numb, but it was only a matter of time until one or both of them broke from the repeated cuts.
Pulling the sword back he went for an over hand swing while he brought the second up and tried to cut him from below.
A pair of loud clangs rang out as once more he was blocked. The pair were locked in as Naruto tried to cut through the already chipped kunai and the clone of Kakashi increased the charka he sent to his blades trying to stave off the screeching blades.
Kakashi glared at the man under the hood, he was finally close enough to see some features that were previously hidden under the shadow. The man looked so familiar he could nearly see it, but there was something that didn't confused him the faintly glowing golden eye.
'I'll figure it out when he's dead.' the clone thought adding a little more lighting charka to his blades.
Bang.
The last sight the clone of Kakashi saw was a flaming ball of that erupted between them. The clone confused because he had no clue what happened and Naruto was equally confused because he knew he didn't activate his hidden gun.
Naruto watched as the last puffs of smoke mixed in with the clones and was carried off by the wind "OH WHAT AN UPSET FOLKS! THE UNDERDOG WINS!" Naruto could tell the fox was enjoying the mayhem around him, first a fight with Hirumi and now a fight with one of the most dangerous ANBU commanders in Konoha history.
'Do me a favor, shut the fuck up…' the tone in Naruto's voice telling him that he was pushing buttons that didn't need to be pushed.
The fox quickly listened to the teen he was sealed inside of and shut up. "What nothing this fun has happened since...I forget when…"
Placing his eye patch over back over his eye Naruto turned back and started walking towards the Toad Sage. 'Yeah well I don't need a play by play damn it.' he replied as he arrived to where Jiraiya was sitting blood still trailing down the corners of his mouth. "You look like someone just keelhauled ya…" Naruto said holding a hand out for him to take.
"Explosives will do that." Jiraiya mumbled taking the hand that was offered to him. The Toad Sages having long left, he was glad they had left since he didn't feel like explaining who they were to Mariner just yet. "Looks like he went easy on you."
"No I just know how to deal with a sharingan, had that been my teacher I would have-" he was cut off by a flare that was launched into the air behind him. "Well there goes an easy walk back home…" Itachi had taught him everything he could about Konoha, and those signal flares was one of the first things he was taught to watch out for.
He looked back to the man just in time to watch his eyes roll back and him start to lean forward. Reaching out quickly Naruto managed to grab him and hold him up, his body straining under the weight of the man "Kit it looks like his wounds are much worse then just a swift punch to the gut."
Flipping his eye patch back up Naruto slung Jiraiya's arm over his shoulder "Hold on Old-Perv, we're bout to be moving like the wind." he knew he couldn't use his eye for much longer, but he had no choice, or they would both die when Kakashi's friends showed up.
The Creed Reborn
Naruko arrived back at the fishing hut in record time, her heart was still pounding in her chest as it sat in how close she was to the people who wanted her and her sensei dead. Looking around she opened the door and walked inside.
Nearly as soon as she opened the door she heard a metallic cocking sound "Isu its me…" she said just loud enough for the girl to hear her.
"Is that you…" Naruko heard the object Isu called a pistol thud on the side of her cot. "He-Hi-" she was weak from the pneumonia and fever, even with the medicine that Mariner made for her it only helped stave off the worst effects.
Sitting the basket down she walked over and dipped a washcloth in a bowl of cool water. Naruko had left out at the same time her sensei and Mariner did this morning to gather the herbs that were shown to her by Mariner. He said that the land of Nami no Kuni was close enough to his home that the herbs were the same.
Hearing a loud crash Naruko whipped around to see Isu leaned against her rifle like a crutch, sweat poured down her face as she tried to walk towards the door. "Naru…" Karin mumbled as her legs shook before finally giving way and she started to fall.
Running to her side "I'm here Isu." Naruko said catching the falling girl before she hit the floor.
Karin's eyes tried to focus on the girl beside her "Got…to…help…naru…to…" she said trying to force herself back up.
Naruko's eyes widened slightly, not because of the sheer will of the girl but because of the name she just said. "Isu, there is nothing you can do as you are." she told the girl trying to get her calm down.
What she didn't know was that Karin sensed the battle that had raged between Jiraiya, Naruto and Kakashi. And in her state of fever induced delirium she thought she was strong enough to try and help them in some way.
Picking the girl up Naruko carried her back to her bed, the whole way the redhead was struggling to get away. Placing her back in the bed Naruko pulled the covers back over the girl her hand still trying to grab the rifle that she had taken and leaned against the table. "Isu if you don't rest I'll tie you to the bed."
"Naru...Go...Help...him…Please…" she said weakly. Once more using a name Naruko figured was the real name of Mariner.
The door to the hut kicked open making Naruko grab her kunai and prepare for the attack she was expecting to come. "Hirumi! Need help over here!" she heard a voice yell quickly recognizing it as Mariners. Coming around the corner she saw the hooded man with her sensei slung over his shoulder, blood dripping.
"What happened?!" she yelled running and throwing the man's other arm over her shoulder. They dragged him over the to the empty cot before laying him down on it. His body was barely being sustained by the
"Long story short, bumped into an old friend who then tried to kill us both, and your sensei thought an explosive note at point blank was a good idea." Naruto said grabbing a rag and wrapping it around one of the external wounds Jiraiya had. "If you can't tell by the state, he's in I use the term old friend extremely sarcastically."
"You don't say." Naruko said trying to figure out something she could do to help her sensei. She could see that the internal damage was much worse than the damage she could see. "What do you need me to do?" she asked defaulting to Mariner since he seemed to have some medical knowledge.
Tying a knot on another rag Naruto turned to her "Did you manage to find the wild lettuce?" his response was a nod from the girl, "Good I need you to crush it into a paste and cook it until it is almost like a tar, when that's done add water and mix it till its thickened."
Nodding her head Naruko ran over and followed the instructions given to her. It took hours to finish from the crushing, to the rendering, to the mixing, every second wasted was another second her sensei got closer to death.
Handing Naruto a vial he slowly poured the black mixture into Jiraiya's mouth before pinching the man's nose to force him to swallow. "Now we just have to wait, it will take a while for the pain killer to kick in."
"Pain killer? That was all that was? I thought it was meant to help with his internal wound?!" Naruko practically screamed, here she was working on some medicine that should have helped only to find out it was nothing more than a pain killer.
"How do you think I felt when you broke Isu's ribs?! I didn't have formal medical training! I barely have enough knowledge to treat basic wounds! Everything I learned was taught to me by someone who has had to figure it out with trial an error, and now you expect me to have the skill to heal someone who blew himself up with a fucking explosive!?" Naruto yelled back his usually hidden blue eye glowed under the hood an eerie crimson, his eye locked with a matching crimson slitted eye.
Had the pair been looking into a mirror they would have realized something.
Turning away Naruto realized that fighting like this got them nowhere. He stared at the man he had a newfound respect, the man that was able to take on Kakashi at his full strength, while he got lucky with Kakashi's clones. His chest barely rising, and then glanced over to the shadowed form of Karin, both of them were in dire straits and needed more potent medicine something he had none of.
Standing up he turned to walk out before Hirumi blocked him off. "Step aside…" he said with a low growl, he was neither in the mood for another fight nor did he have the energy for it.
"No, not until you figure out a way to help him!" she said her anger had slowly started turning into worry "He's all I have, he's a shameless pervert, and a womanizer, and a slave driver of a sensei…" she looked up at him as tears started form in her eyes as her left eye shifted back from red to blue "But he's also the closest thing I have as a father, he picked me up when I had nothing, he taught how to live, and I owe him so much for that."
Seeing the worry in the girls eyes and what the man meant to her, it reminded him of Karin. A bond that had been forged over time something that he could relate to. His own anger slowly subsiding as he realized why she was acting like this. "That was what I was going to do, I owe that man for his help too ya know." he said putting a hand on her shoulder "I just have to rattle a few trees to get what I want."
"Let me go with you!"
"No with Kakashi still alive I need someone here that is able to stall him long enough for me to get back, and if that man is your sensei then you should be more than enough for any team he has with him." Naruto said as he opened the door "I'll be back soon." he told her closing the door and taking off towards town.
"But Kakashi isn't alone anymore…" she mumbled as all the strength in her legs finally giving out and she slumped to the floor. "Just don't die please, I need to know if your him…" she mumbled to herself.
The Creed Reborn
'When you need medicine you go to a doctor, and when you can't find a doctor you ask around…' Naruto pulled on the hem of his hood as he walked through the doors of bar, 'Time to kill two birds with one stone, I ain't got the time to be playing it safe...' unlike the last time he was in here there was no roar of drunks or smoke that hung in the air. The bartender sat behind the bar slowly cleaning the sake saucers just to have some to do.
"Sorry we're closed till the big man says we can serve again…" he said not even paying attention to who had walked in "Thought all the security force got informed of that, or do you need a pick me up?" turning back towards the wall he placed the saucer on the shelf.
Walking up to the bar Naruto pulled out his pistol and sat it down on the counter, slowly cocking the hammer back he pointed it at the large mirror in front of the man. Pulling the trigger a shot rang out and the sound of shattering glass could be heard as the mirror shattered into pieces "Good thing I'm not a customer…" Naruto said as the man whipped around with terror in his eyes. Cocking the second hammer back Naruto leveled the gun on mans chest. "Ya ever seen what a lead ball does to something when its flying at you faster then you can blink?"
He heard the door of the bar fly open, not even shifting his gaze from the bartender Naruto pointed his gun at the door and pulled the trigger. "Thats what if does." he said as the man shifted his eyes to the now motionless bouncer, gray matter and blood slowly ran down the wall.
The terrified man stared at the gaping hole in the head of Gato's bouncer, hearing the same sound once more he turned his eyes back to the hooded demon sitting at his counter, he swallowed trying to keep his breakfast down. "W-what can I-I do for you?" he asked hoping that if he went along with the man's request he could live to see tomorrow.
"A doctor."
"A-a doctor?" the bartender couldn't believe it, after this man just took the life of someone like it was nothing, he wanted a person who could save a life.
"Yes, a doctor." Naruto said "And if you don't tell me…" he let the threat hang as he motioned with the barrel of his pistol towards the dead man slumped against the wall.
Understanding the meaning of the action the man nodded "T-the only remaining doctor left is Gato's personal doctor." the man said.
Placing his thumb on the hammer and pulling the trigger Naruto uncocked the gun and returned it to its holster under his cloak, silently thankful that firearms were an unknown since he didn't have another shot in his pistol. "Thank you for your help." he said placing a few bills on the counter and walking out.
The bartender let out a breath he didn't know he was holding as the man left. Reaching up he pulled a bottle of sake off the top shelf and quickly pulled the cork out. Just as he was about to take a drink a low sizzling sound filled the room.
"Kurama…" Naruto could feel the fox shift inside him when he said the Kyūbi's true name, something he rarely used since learning it "I have my answer…"
"Do you? Tell me Naruto what conclusion have you come to?" Kurama answered already having a feeling that he knew the blonds answer.
As he walked down the street an explosion rocked the town, closing his eye Naruto squashed the regret he felt. Neihay's blackmail on Gato was a goldmine of info, but it also brought to light the many ways that Gato used to keep the people of Nami under his control. That bar was also a drug den and the bartender, while not the maker of said drugs, pushed them to the already broken people of Nami as an escape. "May you rest in peace among the seas of eternity." he mumbled as a second explosion ignited.
Taking to the trees he didn't spare a glance back towards the town as he sprinted towards Gato's compound before security could get any tighter. His mind ran in sync with the speed that he was running, everything that led up to this point, everything that he could have done different, everything that he needed to do. It all flooded his mind as the world around him went by.
Landing on the bluff overlooking Gato's estate he looked down at the rich man's estate as imaginary flames danced across its roof as the sitting sun reflected off the water. Gato had caused this shit show, Gato was the reason the war in Kiri had escalated, Gato was the reason the people of Nami were half starved, no he wasn't the reason, the Templar's were the reason it all happened. It was because of the Templars that a man who had gained his respect was lying in bed on deaths door. The smiling faces Karin, Itachi, Tayuya, Deisui and his wife Himeko, and as much as he denied it Hirumi had chipped away at his anger towards her, all of them deserved peace. "I will never rest in peace…so that the world may one day know it."
The Creed Reborn
Kakashi groaned as he finally woke up, his head was pounding and his sharingan felt like it was on fire from overuse. He could tell he was in a bed just off of feeling alone, but he couldn't remember how he got here.
"Oh, good your awake." he heard a man say as his eye tried to focus on the owner of voice. Kakashi's eye widened when he realized that Asuma was sitting near the window smoking a cigarette. "You got the shit beat out of you by someone and were knocking on deaths door when we found you." he got up and poured the man a glass of water.
Taking the glass of water Kakashi drank it slowly before laying back on his back. He lifted his hand up and saw it was covered in bandages before looking back to the bearded man "I suppose I have you to thank for saving my life." he asked laying his hand back on his chest "How long was I out for?"
Taking another drag Asuma flicked the ashes outside the window "Three days." he said resting his chin on his hand "Three long days filled with more questions then answers."
"What do you mean?"
"Well to start off with we still don't know who attacked you. Then the same day there was a bombing in town that leveled half a block, after that Gato's security forces started disappearing, and pieces of his patrol boats started to show up on the shore, then there's the fact that the midget hadn't been seen, and most of his lieutenants have been found dead in the past two days. Only a handful are still alive, and they went to ground trying to avoid whoever is killing them." taking another drag the man ruffled his hair trying to make sense of it all "Maybe now that your awake you can shed some light on what the hell is going on."
The gears in Kakashi's mind started to turn as Asuma talked. Thanks to his sharingan he had a play by play of the entire fight between him, Jiriaya, and that nameless nin that knew about him and the order. "We both know one of the people, but the other is the wildcard." Kakashi said as he stared up at the ceiling.
"Well its a start. Me an Gai were about to tear this whole island apart trying to find whoever done this." Asuma replied lighting another smoke "So whos the nin we know?"
"Jiraiya of the Sannin." Kakashi said trying to keep the venom out of his voice "If he isn't dead, when I find him, he will be."
"If that man is on this island, I can almost promise he is still alive. What that man lacks in speed he makes up for in toughness, son of a bitch is nearly unkillable. Did you see the vessel with him?" if they could at least capture their target and the vessel of the Kyūbi then they might be able to salvage this cluster fuck of a mission.
"No she was not, the other person was a hooded man who carried two black short swords." Kakashi replied as he looked over and saw the look on Asuma's face. "Take it you know something about him."
Taking longer drag from his cigarette Asuma started to piece the story together. "Locals have taken to calling him Báleygr, the name of some local deity with a flaming eye. At first I brushed it off as some villager trying to act like a hero when they walked away from the explosion in the village. The next day someone saw a similar cloaked man walking out of the shipyard where the shipping manager was found dead, and three hours later another saw him walking away from the head of security's house, then just this morning he got in and killed all of warehouse managers before opening the doors and allowed the people to take anything they want."
"And the Gas?" Kakashi asked getting a shake of the head from Asuma. He wanted to punch something he was so angry everything he was sent here to fix just blew up in his face.
"That went missing along with everything else that was in those warehouses." Asuma replied solemnly "Whoever this guy is the locals are praising him, and I can't make heads or tails of him. If he is some freelance nin Jiraiya hired maybe we shou-"
"He is an enemy of the Order." Kakashi said cutting off the man before he could say anything further "He knew of the Gas, Master Minato and the Order, hell he even knew I was the ANBU commander and my code name, meaning he is either someone from Konoha or we have a traitor."
"What else can you tell me about him?" Asuma asked hoping that they could form some plan to use against him "Maybe if we can capture him we can figure out what all he knows."
"Well he is very good with kenjutsu, bordering on the same level as the Seven Swordsmen…" Closing his eye Kakashi gave him a play by play of the whole fight. Throughout the whole story both of them wondered the same thing, how had this man gathered so much and how did they not know more about him.
Finishing the story of the fight Kakashi and Asuma fell into silence. Neither really knew what to do with the limited manpower they had. Sure, three jonins and nine genins was a sizeable force for an island the size Nami was, but when there were two different missions that needed to be done and one jonin was bed ridden there was little they could do.
"Well ain't this a bitch…" Asuma mumbled "Here's what we can do my team will stay here and cover for you till your back on your feet, while Gai an his team head out and search for our target. Once you're able to at least protect our investment I'll link up with him and we can capture our target."
It made sense to Kakashi since Gai had a Hyūga on his team, couple that with Tenten and her skill with weapons they could easily take care of some half assed privateers. "The only one on the ship I would be worried about would be their captain, he is old enough that he might be part of the original Uzushiro privateers."
"I'll keep that in mind." Asuma said as he stood up "You get some rest and I'll inform your rival about our plan when I head an relieve him later." he started walking towards the door before stopping "If nothing else we owe this Green Shade for one thing tho, thanks to him we have plenty of willing volunteers to finish the bridge."
"I wouldn't be thanking him just yet…"
The Creed Reborn
Karin awoke covered in a cold sweat and dying of thirst, she shakily pushed herself up and grabbed the water bladder hanging on the end of her cot, and greedily took swig after swig of the cooling water. It was only after did her mind realize something was wrong. Putting the cork back she looked around the dimly lit room.
The fire that Naruto and she had kept going was dim and only smoldering coals remained, and the table only had one bowl out. There was a bag sitting on it Something in her gut told her that the blond wasn't in a good state right now.
Throwing the damp blankets off her she stood up, the sudden changed making her head swim for a second as it tried to compensate for the movement. Leaning against a poll she held herself in place long enough for her vision to quit swimming.
As her vision was coming back into focus, she noticed something, the door to her lab was open something she was sure she never done. Slowly she walked over to the door, picking up the lantern on the table she held it up and peered into the dark room.
Nothing at first looked out of place, her tools were where she left them, and the can of gas was still sitting on the table inside. Walking into the room she looked around at the walls she had spent so much time making airtight, and that was when she saw it.
Papers were pinned to the wall, names, descriptions of people, locations marked on the map. Many of the names had red marks through them, based off the color alone she knew it was blood, there were only four names pinned to the wall that didn't have red staining them.
Taking a step towards the wall her foot kicked something that sounded like paper. Lowering the lamp so she could see the see the floor her eyes widened when she saw the book Naruto carried with him, it was something he never went anywhere without.
Sitting the lamp down she picked up the heavy leather-bound book and started flipping through the pages. She had seen many of the pages before, some of them were just random thoughts, some were recipes to for various things, but the thing that had changed since she last was Naruto's Templar list.
Gato was added at the bottom of the page.
That by itself wasn't what terrified her, it was what Naruto had written beside it that made her worry.
'I now see firsthand how far the Templars will go to obtain their ideals. Gato killed the people of Nami, he starved them, he drugged them, sold them, all for cash. Because of this man and his Order, I have two people I care about hurt. He might have not caused it directly, but he is the one I will take my anger out on. By the time I am done that midget will be terrified of the dark, and the demon that hides in the shadows…I will become the devil if need be, I will give my soul over to hell if that is the cost. I will coat myself in darkness if that's what it takes to protect the light…All so that those around me can live free. I cant let those people live like me when I was under his thumb...'
Karin read it again and again, each time the pit in her stomach only grew. How long had she been out if since he wrote this? Then another thought came to mind, two people? Who was the other? Closing the book Karin walked back out and looked around the main room, the light of the lamp illuminating the room allowing her to see something she missed before. The man Hirumi called her sensei 'Is this the other person he was talking about?' she thought walking over and sitting the lamp down.
His breathing was shallow and labored. Blood trailed down the edge of his mouth with fresh drops coming out with each breath he took.
"Naruto, I'm sorry…" she mumbled rolling up the sleeve on her shirt "You said to never use this power, but I will trade a little life if it means I can pull you out of darkness." opening the man's mouth with her hand she placed her forearm in between his teeth. Pushing up on his jaw hard enough to leave an indent on her arm she felt her charka being sucked out.
After a few minutes she lifted her arm and stumbled back onto the floor. Jiraiya's breathing had evened out, and blood no longer came from the mans mouth with each breath. At this point he was just sleeping.
She had never used her clan's healing power on someone before, at least not successfully, the last time she even attempted it was after her and Naruto had just met when he went into a coma. Unlike that time though she could clearly see the results of the effort, and feel them.
'Is this how mom felt each time she used it?' Karin thought as the world around her swam, she felt like she was drunk and sick all at the same time. As her vision darkened, she had one person on her mind.
Naruto.
The Creed Reborn
Naruko was once more out picking herbs, it had been three days since Mariner returned from wherever he went. When he had returned that night his green cloak was a few shades darker and the smell of blood hung in the air around him. He sat a bag up on the and then turned and walked back out.
It was the next morning that she saw him again. He was silently sitting in front of the fire, a rag wrapped around his hand that was stained red with blood. When he saw her come in he stood up and walked back out. Not saying a word to her.
Then yesterday he came in one time and checked on Isu while she was sleeping. If it wasn't for the light shining through the door when she opened it she would have never seen the blood covering his face when he passed by her, at least the part she could see.
That was the last time she had saw him.
So she continued to do anything she could to keep her mind off of him, and the fact that he may or may not be her brother.
It wasn't like she remembered anything about him, the only thing she had was a name she had written down years ago, and maybe Mariner was just another person with a similar name to her brother.
"Hey!" she heard a voice yell, one she recognized as the Konoha ninja from the other day. "I figured I would run into you again if I kept patrolling this section." Once more she was on guard as the same boy she had met a few days ago landed in front of her.
"Shinya, right?" Naruko asked as she continued to pick herbs trying to not act like she wanted to stab him.
He smiled and rubbed the back of his head "Yeah I'm glad you remember!" even if it had just been a few days he was still happy that she remembered.
"I don't really forget much."
He watched as she picked an herb and placed it in the basket she was carrying "Still out here picking herbs?" he asked "Weren't you picking them the other day as well?"
Nodding her head Naruko brushed a stray strand of hair out of the way, "Yeah I have a friend that is sick an there isn't much I can do to help other then ease the pain." it was a half lie, since she had medicine that she had been giving both Isu and her sensei. The truth was she just wanted out of the hut.
"Are there no doctors on the island?" he asked trying to understand why she had to go through all the trouble of picking herbs when there was civilian doctors available.
"No at least there are none left that still practice, so I pick herbs and hope for the best." she said before going quiet "Can I ask you something?"
"Um sure I guess…" he wasn't really sure how to respond since h wasn't expecting a question from her.
"If there is someone you know that is headed down a dark path how can you pull them back to the light?"
This was not the question he was expecting, he was expecting something that was related to shinobi or Konoha, not some question dealing with the inner workings of the mind. Something came to mind tho, something his father had told him "To appreciate the light, you must first witness darkness. I never understood what my dad meant when he told me this, but it just feels right given the question."
Nodding her head she stood up "Thank you, I'll mull on it an maybe be able to pull something from it."
She turned and started to walk away "What leaving already?" he asked.
"Yeah I have to get on back and check on my friend." she replied "Take care of yourself."
He watched as she walked off into the wood his expression never changing until she was long out of sight. Looking at the palm of his hand a sadistic smile formed "Yes, yes, I will take care of myself, vessel of Kyūbi…" he mumbled looking at the seal on his hand, a seal that was glowing orange.
AN: Hope the cliff hanger was to your liking...just kidding yall no one likes a damn cliffhanger. Well, I'll be back soon with the next installment of The Creed Reborn since I'm like 4k into it, so till then don't die on me. And before someone starts yelling at me about Naruto, there is a method to the madness, in this case quite literal. I ain't going to ruin it for y'all tho.
Somebody PMed me and said I need to explain the Jutsu's/ Sword Style so here we go...(Kinda feels like a waste of word count to me)
Fire Release: Flame Bullet. This technique is executed by the user gathering oil in their mouth which is created by chakra, spitting it out, and igniting it. This technique simply shoots a flame bullet at the enemy. If the amount of oil that is prepared is kept down, the time it takes to invoke the technique is reduced. (Source NarutoPedia)
Earth Style: Impalement. The user creates a ring of sharp spears around its intended target, both the range at which they can attack, and sharpness of the spears is dependant on its user. Target must be the ground. (Me)
Fire Style: Burning Cross. User makes an X pattern in the air with his/her fingers. Size and range of the attack is based on the skill of the user and charka used in the attack. (Me)
Sage Art: Bath of Boiling Oil is a collab jutsu Jiraiya could do with his master, Fukasaku, and wife, Shima. It employs them each contributing a single jutsu(in Jiraiya's case his Toad Oil Bomb to create a huge wave of burning oil that is not completely lit on fire. It is highly deadly to use and almost impossible to avoid at close range. (Sorce NarutoPedia)
Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu. After kneading charka, the user breathes fire from their mouth. The flames are manipulated into the shape of a dragon. Unlike the Great Fireball, which covers a wide area, the Fire Dragon makes focused strikes, quickly reducing targets to ash upon contact. The Dragon is able to use sub attacks that are directed towards survivors. (Soruce NarutoPedia)
Wind Style: Great Breakthrough. The user breathes wind from their mouth, blowing away whatever is in front of them. The technique itself is quite simple, but its power varies significantly depending on the user's skill and how strong they make the winds. (Source NarutoPedia)
7 Stances of Uzu, A sword fighting style used only by the holder of the Uzumaki Dojutsu. Requires the practitioner to have both training in the use of dual swords, and a wind affinity. Reinforced swords were made specifically for this style since it requires high speed and durability. (Me)
First Stance: Whirlpool. Using wind to increase both the speed and sharpness of the blade it creates a spinning wall defense.
Second Stance: Shadow. The second blade follows in the shadow of the first creating the illusion of only one being swung, so that even if one is blocked the second will strike.
Third Stance: Streak. Using wind to decrease the resistance in the air around while also increasing the speed blown from behind, pure elemental charka manipulation.
Fourth Stance: Mirage. Using wind as a form of hypnotic illusion it allows the user to 'Fade' from sight when used, if used with other stances it allows one to surprise attack an unaware person.
Fifth Stance: Vacuum. Using the flats of the blade the wielder sucks the air from its surroundings creating a high pressure no oxygen invisible bubble in the area that it strikes.
Sixth Stance: Break. The wielder slams the points of the blades into the ground forcing air into it ground sending shards flying up, given the users power has the ability to shatter its surroundings.
Finial Stance: Ballad of Uzu
