Pairings: Haou x Yubel (human)
Disclaimer: I don't own Yugioh Gx, but I wish I did…oh well. Enjoy!

Haou had just finished deciding a few matters with Lord Tenjoin. The older brunette was about to head to the diner room for supper when he spotted Jaden's friends. 'Are they lost?' Haou thought, "What's the matter?"

"Um, we want to talk to you about something," replied Alexis.

"Is that so…very well, in my study," said Haou, pointing to the double doors. Jim and the others entered before awing on how massive it was. Haou sat down at his chair, "Now, what do you want to discuss to me about?"

Jim took a deep breathe, "We came here to discuss with you about Jaden and Jesse coming back with us to our dimension."

Haou frowned but allowed them to continue.

"We know that the sarge is engaged, but can't it wait until after he finishes Duel Academy," said Hassleberry. "I mean it wouldn't be the same without the sarge!"

"That's right! Jaden did so much for us," said Syrus. "He protected us from the Shadow Riders, the Scared Beast cards and an evil light spirit!"

Haou's golden eyes glowed, "What did you say?!"

"Jaden has beaten any evil that entered in the steps of Duel Academy, your majesty," said Atticus, looking down. "He saved me…when I was controlled from the darkness. Jaden reunited me with my family and sister."

Haou's eyes dimmed down, "…reunited? You went missing?"

"He did, sir," said Alexis, sadly. "I enrolled to Duel Academy to find clues about my brother. I know deep down that he was alive, and I had to find proof that he was out there. Jaden…He was the one that help me, help me proof that."

"And if it wasn't for the sarge, I wouldn't be who I am right now!" Hassleberry said, seriously. "I wouldn't have accepted the fact that everyone needs to evolve to become something better!"

"And he helped me overcome my fears and showed me that I can be the best," said Syrus.

Haou placed his hands under his chin, "…I see so in a way my little brother is practically your guardian for your dimension then."

"Well, I guess you can say that, but it was Jaden's choice," said Alexis. "He chose to protect a key from the Shadow Riders, he chose to fight the leader of the Shadow Riders who even used the Scared Beast cards and won – and chose to fight Sartorius to stop him from controlling everyone from the light!"

Haou stared at them with his golden eyes, "…defeat me in a duel."

"Huh?!"

Haou got up to the front of his desk, crossing his arms. "If you can defeat me in a duel, then it shows me how strong your loyalty is to my brother and allow Jaden and Jesse to return to the human dimension."

Alexis and the others had a small smile on their faces.

"However," started Haou, seriously. "If you lose, Jaden and Jesse will be staying while the rest of you will be returning back to your dimension, understand?"

Jim and the others looked at each other before nodding.

"Good, now shall we get going?" Haou said.

At the diner room, Jaden was waiting for his brother while trying to listen to Asuka. Their trip to the lake went well…minus the part where Asuka tripped into the lake, dragging Jaden with her. Jaden and Asuka had to change to different clothes before heading off for supper.

Jaden was thinking ways on how to convince his brother to have his friends work in the castle when his thoughts were interrupted when the doors open and came in was…

"Hey there, guys! Are you eating with us?"

"You bet, sarge! Your brother offered," said Hassleberry, sitting across to Jaden.

"Your brother may look scary, but he reminds me of my brother," said Syrus.

Haou narrowed his eyes, but ignored the comment, taking his seat at the head table. Alexis and Atticus sit next to Syrus, Chazz sit next to Alexis while Jim and Axel sit to the left from Haou. Johan took his place on Haou's right and Jesse sit to Jaden's right side while Asuka sit to Jaden's left.

The maids came in with trays of food, placing them on the table. Hassleberry and Syrus were drooling from their mouths and eyes shining brightly before digging in.

Chazz snorted from their rude manners before displaying proper etiquette though it surprised him that Jaden wasn't doing the same as his dork friends. But what annoyed him the most was what Jaden's wearing.

Jaden had a similar outfit like his brother, but was bright red with white trimmings, a black shirt underneath, white pants with brown boots. It was practically wearing his Slifer red uniform, but with expensive fabrics.

Chazz gritted his teeth, "You know, Jaden…it's sort of weird seeing you wear that."

Jaden looked down at his clothes. "What's so weird about it? It almost like my school uniform minus the leather boots, but everything else looks the same."

Chazz banged his head on the table.

Alexis shook her head, "So…Jaden, what do you do around here?"

"Mm, well, I've been given lessons about politics, trading methods, languages, sword fighting and a little bit of magic," replied Jaden before seeing his friends faces. "What's with the faces?"

"…well, it's sort of…unbelievable to hear that you're studying," answered Syrus.

Haou lifted his eyebrow, "You didn't study at that human school?"

Jaden laughed, sheepishly, "Um, well…no, not really – but I did pass my dueling practical and exams!"

"But not the others," said Alexis. "You would fall asleep during lecture in almost all of your classes. You probably have the highest detention record than any other students."

Aqua giggled, "Reminds me how Haou skipped on his lessons when he was a child. I must have lost countless of times I have to look for him."

Alexis and the others mouth drop.

Haou crossed his arms, "I've learned my lesson Aqua."

"Of course, you did," teased Aqua.

Hassleberry made a face, "I still find it strange that Alexis has a double," before mumbling, "It's already bad to have one Alexis, but two…"

"What was that?" Alexis asked, clenching her hands.

"Nothing!" Hassleberry said.

"Well, I find it quite interesting that I have a double," said Asuka, honestly. She smiled, "My mother told me that in different dimensions, there will be someone that will look like you, but with a different personality or gender."

"You don't say," said Atticus. "Does that mean you have a brother that looks just like me?"

"No, but I do have an older sister," replied Asuka, taking out her pendent and opened it. Inside was a female version of Atticus, "Fubuki has quite a temper, but she's really sweet…when she wants to be."

Chazz and Hassleberry smirked towards Atticus who was blushing from embarrassment.

"Oh! Haou, why do my friends need to do community service?" Jaden asked.

"They were fighting alongside with the Light followers," replied Haou, taking a sip of his wine. "It's against the law to harm children. The best punishment to assign them is community services."

"Can't they work in the castle?" Jaden asked, hiding his pointing finger towards Chazz. "Some of my friends are not used to labor."

"And what kind of work do you have in mind?" Haou wondered.

Jaden thought for a moment, "Well, Atticus is really good in making costumes so he can help Mary. Alexis is a good cook so the kitchen will be good for her. Syrus and Hassleberry…um, maybe cleaning? And Chazz…he's great at organizing and planning out events. Jim and Axel are good at patrolling so they can help the guards."

"…fine, they'll start tomorrow," said Haou. "But if I hear any kind of trouble, they'll be going back to work at the stables."

Jaden nodded as his friends sigh in relief.

"There's something I want to discuss with you," said Haou, seriously.

Jaden frowned, "What is it?"

Haou narrowed his eyes, "What the hell happened to Yubel? Why did she suddenly start attacking you?"

Jaden widened his eyes while Jesse almost choked on his drink. Alexis and the others, minus Jim and Axel had pale faces upon hearing Yubel's name.

"…how…how did you know about that?" Jaden asked, softly.

"Aqua told me when she was recovering your memories," replied Haou. "You had her duel monster card until the age of seven, why is that?"

"Wait, Jaden is this true?" Alexis asked.

Jaden sighed, "Yea…it is. My adopted dad gave me Yubel as a welcome home present. I would always carry her before putting her in my deck that I made when I was six…but whenever I used her in a duel, my opponent would get sick and faint. Afterwards, no one would want to duel against me because they know I had Yubel. It was then that KaibaCorp announced the drawing contest where the winner's drawings will be sent to space."

"Oh! I remember that!" Alexis said. "I begged my brother to help me on my cards."

"Well, my cards – my Neo-Spacian drawings won," Jaden then looked down, "I made a request to send Yubel to space…they agreed. They send my Neo-Spacians and Yubel in different pods…that was the last time I saw her," closing his eyes, "I thought sending her to space where that energy was being gathered would help her but…in fact, it made her much worse."

"A sudden energy gathering?" Haou murmured. "Something must have gone wrong when she was send to the human dimension. Yubel must have lost some memories as well."

"I'm sorry Haou," Jaden bit his lip, "I know how important she means to you."

"Um, why is that sarge?" Hassleberry asked.

Haou closed his eyes, "…Yubel…before she was turned into a duel spirit, she was destined to be with me. She was my fiancée."

"Huh?!"

"I think I'm about to faint," murmured Syrus as Alexis and the others nodded.

"Best be going to bed, Jaden. You have morning lessons to go to and Lady Asuka will be leaving at the afternoon," said Haou.

Jaden made a face, "It's not my politics lessons, is it?"

Haou smirked, "If I tell you, you're just going to find a way out like you did the first time. Hopefully having Jesse will keep you put."

"Fine," said Jaden, getting up, "I'm going, I'm going! Night, guys!"

Haou shook his head, "Aqua, would you mind guiding Jaden's friends to their quarters? Asuka, your father is waiting for you at the east wing."

Asuka curtsied, "Goodnight my Lord and thank you for the wonderful supper."

Alexis slightly glared at her double before following the priestess. They passed a few multiple doorways before being shown to their temporarily rooms…or rather suites.

"Holy Sam Hill!" Hassleberry said, dramatically. "This are not rooms – there homes!"

Chazz looked around, "…I've seen better…"

"Aw, come now Chazz, don't tell me…you're jealous," teased Atticus. "You're rich, but not as much as Jaden is. I…think your status would be like a duke in this time era."

Chazz gritted his teeth but stayed quiet.

"Well, best go to bed early," said Aqua. "Everyone wakes up by the crack of dawn."

Syrus widened his eyes, "How did you do the impossible?! Jaden can never wake up early!"

Aqua winked, "Slashing water to his face works the trick…the same goes for Haou. The boy's bedchambers are to the left and Alexis, your room is to the right. See you all in the morning."

"Why didn't I think of that?" Syrus murmured.

Meanwhile in town, Zane and Aster booked a room after claiming that they were attacked and didn't have a place to stay. The Inn Keeper agreed to give them a room if they helped.

"So, what's the game plan?" Aster asked.

"Can't we just say to the king that the children means no harm," suggested Crowler. He bites down his napkin, "My job will be in jeopardy if Chancellor Sheppard finds out that the students were killed under my watch – and the parents! Oh!"

"I don't think waltzing in would be a good idea," said Zane, wincing a bit. He placed his hand over his heart, "What we first need to do is gather information about their ruler. If he understands then Crowler's idea might work, but if he's a cold bastard, we need to sneak into the castle."

Aster nodded, "But first, we need to fulfill our promise to the Inn Keeper. She was kind enough to not let us pay the food as well. And I hate to admit, but her stew was rather good."

Zane smirked, "She's too old for you, Phoenix. Best we head to bed."

Aster and Crowler nodded before the three of them went to sleep. Unknown to them, somewhere in different dimensions, there is a strange woman reuniting with Adrian Gecko who was also missing from Duel Academy, and Yubel trying to find Jaden, desperately.

In the morning, Aqua and Mary came in to Alexis and the others bedchamber. They gave them decent work clothes base on their jobs. Alexis was in a simple brown dress tunic with an apron and white cap. The boys were dressed in a simpler manner minus Jim, Axel and Chazz.

Syrus, Hassleberry and Atticus were dressed like they were in the mid-1500s while Chazz looked some sort of butler. Jim and Axel had trainee guard uniforms.

"Oh, to remind you, your duel against Haou will be at dusk," said Aqua. "Though which one of you is going to duel against Haou?"

Before Chazz was about to say anything, Jim stepped in. "I'll be dueling against Haou. Will Jaden be there?" he said.

"He should be done with his lessons by then," said Aqua. "But I have to ask Haou since Jaden doesn't know about the dueling terms."

Jim nodded, "That's fine."

"Well, let me guide you to your jobs," said Aqua as Mary dragged Atticus away from the group. She twitched her eye, "One down, I guess."

Alexis and the others had a sweat-drop going down.

Syrus and Hassleberry were to help the maids. Alexis went to the kitchen and immediately was put to work for breakfast while Chazz was given…an unpleasant task for him.

"Babysit the slacker?! No way! There must be something else for me to do," argued Chazz.

Aqua frowned, "The only option is the stables and that includes cleaning the horses, the stables and changing their shoes."

Chazz paled, "…fine, I'll plan out the dork's day."

Aqua giggled before handing him a stack of papers.

Chazz sighed before sitting down at the table. Just as he was looking over at the papers, Jaden and Jesse came in. "Morning Anderson, slacker," he murmured.

"Morning Chazz," greeted Jaden, sitting next to him. He looked over at the papers, "What's my brother having you do?"

"If you must know, I was giving the task to supervise your freaking day," replied Chazz, annoyingly. He crossed his arms, "Well, at least it's better than working at the stables."

Jaden was looking at the papers when the Ojama brothers appeared before him. He backed away, "Um, hey guys, long time no see."

"It feels such an honor to meet you, Prince Jaden," said Black, happily.

"Oh yes, such an honor indeed," said Green, excitedly.

"I'm friends with the prince! Oh, what a glories day!" Yellow said.

Chazz clenched his hands, "Will the three of you get back into your cards?! Even the slacker doesn't want to get annoyed by the three of you!"

"Hey, it's alright. They can hang out with Winged Kuriboh and Ruby," said Jaden. "Just as long they stay quiet in my politic lessons with Cronus."

"I highly doubt that," murmured Chazz before looking at the schedule. "Looks like your teacher wants to meet you after breakfast. Afterwards will be your sword training…do all royal princes learn this stuff?"

Jaden nodded, "I ask Asuka about it. All future heirs learn everything they need to know before being crowned king or queen. Different lessons are given to princes and princesses."

"Mm, what language are you learning?" Chazz asked.

Jaden sighed, "Latin, but I don't understand it one bit. I'm just glad that my brother saved his old notes when he was taught Latin."

Chazz looked the other way, not wanting to show Jaden his face. To know that Jaden's older brother was looking for him for twelve years made Chazz angry.

His own older brothers wouldn't do that; instead, they will probably throw a party if he goes missing. They already, in a way, disowned him, but before his parent's death, his mother put aside a separate account for him to invest when he's older. Chazz knows that his brothers have been trying to get that account, but luckily, his mother told the bank that no one can touch it until he was at age.

"Hey, Chazz, you there," waved Jaden.

"Huh?" Chazz said, snapping out of his negative thoughts.

"You spaced out Chazz," said Jesse. He pointed to the table, "Long enough that the maids placed the food on the table."

"Oh, right," murmured Chazz before filling his plate. "By the way slacker, did you know that your brother is going to duel against Jim?"

Jaden nodded, "I can't wait! Aqua told me before heading to my brother's room. She's the only one that can wake up my brother in the mornings."

'So, she didn't tell him about the terms,' thought Chazz.

That's when the doors opened and came in was Haou, Johan, Alexander and Asuka. The light bluenette dashed over to Jaden, giving him a hug. "Morning Jaden, how are you today?"

"Alright, I guess…mind if you let go?" Jaden said.

Asuka giggled before taking a seat by Jaden while Haou took his spot on the table and Johan sat on his right. Alexander took a sit by Haou's left.

"What are your plans today, Prince Jaden?" Alexander asked.

"My politic lessons, sword practice, Latin…um," replied Jaden before looking at the papers that Chazz was holding. "Oh, history and math…ah man! Those are my worst subjects!"

"Don't be so dramatic, brother," said Haou, smirking. "Besides, you have Jesse and…Princeton. I think they can help you…stay awake at any means necessary."

Jaden had a panic look on his face while Chazz had mischievous smirk.

"Well, best we get going slack – I mean Jaden, we can't have Cronus waiting too long," said Chazz, pushing Jaden out of the diner room. Before stopping and turned his head, "Um, where's the library?"

Jaden sighed, "If you let go, then I'll show you. And you better not pull my ear like that last time Chazz! Have a good day, Lord Tenjoin…and Asuka."

Haou smirked, holding his wine cup.

Johan shook his head, "You really missed teasing your brother, didn't you?"

"You have no idea," answered Haou before getting up, "Now if you would excuse me Lord Tenjoin and young Asuka, but I have somewhere else to attend to."

"I understand, your majesty," said Alexander. "We best start heading out anyway."

Asuka frowned, "But I don't want to leave yet daddy. I just reunited with Jaden. I wanted to spend some time with him a bit longer."

Alexander sighed, "You have your own lessons child. Maybe if the king allows it, you can spend a week here with the prince."

"I don't see why not," said Haou. "I'll let you know when your daughter can come over."

"Brilliant!" Alexander said before guiding his daughter out of the diner room.

"And what pray tell where you're going ?" Johan asked, following his friend. "Didn't you finish that paperwork yet? You can't delay those tax statements."

"I've been…distracted," replied Haou, darkly before opening the doors that leads to the dungeons. He narrowed his eyes, "Remember I told you there was one incident that happened here while you were at the Dark World."

Johan nodded, "Mind telling me what happened?"

"…someone was being controlled by the Light and almost kidnapped my brother," hissed Haou.

-Break Line-

What will Haou do with the kidnapper? Did he survive his ordeal at the dungeons? And Chazz will be learning about Jaden's life as a prince, will he accept it or not? And the duel?

Who's going to win? Haou or Jim? Take you bets! Until next updated!
