TMTLY – SEQUEL, LOVE TESTED
TMTLY-SEQUEL-LOVE TESTED
A/N: You guys are amazing... (SMILING?) That's all. I just wanted you all to know that.
CHAPTER 2
Giulia was continued to stare at the door Fitz walked out of almost 5 minutes ago. Her mind was in a world wind. Fear was overtaking her entire being. Her only thought was for her son, Franklin aka Franky and the possibility of losing him to his father. She didn't want Franky to grow up in the mob life. It would only destroy him in the end. Turn him cold, disrespectful to women, a killer even. No Giulia didn't want that for her child, and if Fitz forced this DNA test, she was sure that's exactly what would happen. So, without a second thought she gathered some of her and Franky's things and got the hell out of dodge.
...
Fitz was lost in thought as he drove back to the airport. He was headed to Sicily to see his uncle Tony aka Godfather. He didn't want to blindside him coming back to Italy due to him not knowing how long he would be here. He thought about Liv and the twins, but he didn't have the courage to call her. What would he say? How would he explain this to her. He needed to be sure of everything before he spoke with her.
Arriving at his uncle's residence, he's welcomed and allowed passage onto the property. He takes a moment to gather himself before exiting the car. He finally makes his way inside the castle like home and is greeted immediately by Tony. "Fitzgerald, I hoped to see you after hearing you were back."
It doesn't go unnoticed by Fitz that he called him by his full name. "That's why I'm here." "Business or pleasure nephew?"
"It started out as business, with the hotel but it's somewhat personal, I guess. Can we talk?" Fitz questions. Tony nods as he walks towards his office. Once inside he prepares two drinks for them, handing one to Fitz before taking a seat on the sofa. "What's on your mind nephew?"
Fitz runs his finger through his hair before speaking "Giulia."
Tony frowns in confusion "What about Giulia?"
"She had a child, a son, who's about to turn 3 next month."
Tony nods "Is he yours?"
"She insists he's not, but the Grant genes are undeniable."
"I see." Tony clarifies "Does Olivia know?"
"I just found out a couple of hours ago...So no."
"If he's your what are your plans?"
"To be a part of his life of course, but I don't know how Liv will handle this. So, I will have an DNA test done and go from there."
"Do you want my advice?" Tony asks and Fitz nods "You should leave well enough alone. You are married with children. Olivia is a lovely woman. Don't mess that up. If she told you the child is not yours, move on."
"I can't. There is a strong resemblance between me and the boy. I can't walk away without knowing if he's mine."
"Do you love Olivia? If you do, you'll let this go. Leave Giulia and the boy be." Tony warns
Before Fitz could respond his phone rang. He pulls it from his pocket and sees it's Olivia calling. He answers "Hi."
"Hi. You didn't call to let me know you made it. Did you meet with Giulia?"
"Yeah, I did, but I can't talk about it right now. I'm in a meeting with my uncle. I'll call you back."
"Oh, okay...umm, is everything alright?" She pushes
"I can't talk now Liv. I'll call you back." He quickly hangs up. The feeling of not being in control was frustrating Fitz. The power Liv held to his heart was strenuous. He needed to know if Franky was his son or not before he shared any information with his wife.
He looks up at his uncle who just shook his head at him. "You're going about this all wrong Fitz." Tony had been married a long time and loved his wife dearly. He understood the concept of happy wife, happy life. Fitz ended his visit with his uncle and decided to turn in and headed for his private villa before meeting up with Giulia in the morning.
...
Liv was still holding her phone in her hand after Fitz hung up on her. She hated when he did that. For this reason and his personality change is why she didn't want him to return to Paris and his mob ties. Her gut was in shambles, she knew something was amidst. Fitz had gone back the controlling, demanding, uncaring of one's feelings man he was when they met. If he thought speaking to her so harshly and hanging up on her would not have consequences, he was sadly mistaken. She would not call him back, no. She would not give him a second chance to hang up on her nor would she allow him to speak to her like she was a child. She would deal with him when he returned home. Only then will she speak with him. She would not answer his calls because she felt disrespected. Since he didn't want to talk, she would give him what she was sure he wouldn't and couldn't handle well...her silence.
She was not going to give him an inch to go back to his old ways when it came to her and their relationship. They were married now with children and that was her priority and should be his, but his sudden change in how he spoke to her told her different. She loved Fitz with everything inside of her, but she would not tolerate anything but love and respect from him, especially when it came to his mob ties.
To take her mind off her husband she decided to give Abby a call. "Hey Abs." She excitedly greets her. "Hey Livvvvv! May god I swear I was just thinking about you."
"Really? So what up girlee, I miss you so much."
"I miss you too. I wish you were here. You guys live so far away. I miss having access to you whenever I want." Abby wines
"How about I bring the twins to see their godmother?"
"Are you serious?" Abby states as she stands from her sitting position on the sofa of her and Stephens new home. "Yes. I'm serious. We can be there in a few hours." Liv answers with a smile
"Oh my god, come Liv. Yes, please come. I have so much to tell you."
"Really? I tell you what, I'm going to have the pilot get the helicopter ready. Meet me at the private airport in two hours."
"Okay, okay. I'll see you then." Abby joyfully responds before ending the call
Liv smiles because she's just as excited to see her best friend and sister. She needed something to keep her mind occupied while her husband was away. After reading the information Huck as shall I say Diego uncovered about Giulia didn't sit well with her. She has worked for Fitz for a little over 5 years. She was his personal maid at the villa property in which he still owned, before being promoted and allowed to transfer to the Fitz as the financial manager in Paris.
This meant she spent a lot of personal time with Fitz. She's someone he trusts and likes. Did he ever sleep with her? Why did he promote her? What made him give her such a privilege? Why did she feel comfortable enough to steal money from him only to put it back? Would he see it as stealing or borrowing? Would he fire her, reprimand her, suspend her, or except whatever excuse she has for him? Why did he need to handle this face to face? Did he really need to see her to discuss her stealing or is it something else? Liv mind really started to wander to the deep side. She needed a distraction. She needed her best friend.
...
Fitz decided to call Giulia now that he was showered and relaxed. He wanted to inform her that he would be there tomorrow with a private doctor to get samples for the DNA test, but his calls went unanswered. After calling her five times he went downstairs to speak with his security team. Things were different now that he wasn't the boss. He had to hire security guards for this trip. Yes, he could have brought Diego and Tom, but this wasn't some war he needed to handle, it was just a personal problem dealing with his legit business.
He knew he needed to ask Giulia in person about the money. He felt betrayed and intended to kill her, depending on her reason for stealing from him, but after promising his wife he wouldn't, firing her was he next alternative. He couldn't take a chance on Olivia overhearing their conversation in case it went back to them sleeping together.
Giulia was good to him when they were sleeping together. She knew her place in his life. She never complained and even dealt with Zoey becoming his main woman. She came when he called. She did whatever he requested sexually, personally, and physically. She explained to him that she was not comfortable working in his home anymore because of the respect she had for him and Olivia's relationship now that he had found her. So, he promoted her and relocated her to one of his hotels, not really thinking about the fact he just did all of this for one of his many mistresses nor how this would affect his marriage.
As he approached his head of security he stopped. It had just dawned on him that he needed to call Liv back. He checks his phone and realizes she never attempted to call him back nor had she texted him. He knew he was wrong for the way he spoke to her as well as the fact that he had also hung up on her. But what he didn't expect was for her to take it laying down and not call him on his behavior. This was not sitting well with him. Calling her back was his next thing to do after he finished instructing his team to go to Paris and secure a team on Giulia and get back to him.
Once that was settled, he orders dinner to be brought to him by the pool. He looks at his phone as he prepares to her his wife's anger then hit the call button. After several rings the call goes to voicemail. He calls back to be sure she wasn't hitting the ignore button. However, after the 2nd ring it goes to voicemail again. He knew then she was intentionally sending him there and was not speaking to him. So, he sent her a text that simply said "I'm Sorry" with a sad face emoji. Wanting to make sure she was okay he called his home security lead. "Hey Mark, how's he home front?" He asks
"Home front is good sir. I left a team there, so that I could stay with the misses and the children. We're in New York visiting her best friend, Abby." He stated
Fitz knew for sure then that he was in hot water. After hanging up with Mark he called Stephen. "Hey, Stephen is she there?" Fitz ask getting straight to the point. "Hey Fitz." He answers loud enough for Liv to hear him causing her to roll her eyes as she looks up at the mention of her husband's name. "Yeah, she and the twins just arrived. Hold on a minute let me pass her the phone." Stephen quickly walks to Liv and attempts to hand her his phone while mouthing "Sorry." He knew Liv's something was going on with them because of her spontaneous visit, and the fact that Liv and Abby were on the phone not too long ago. Not to mention the fact that Fitz call him instead of Abby or Liv herself. Her rolling her eyes at the mention of Fitz name was also a dead giveaway.
The twins also hearing the mention of their father's name and starts jumping up and down wanting to speak with their father. "Daddy. Is that daddy mommy. I want to spweak to him too, pwease mommy." Said Zaniah
"Hi daddy, mommy I spweak to daddy and say hi to him." came Jerimiah at the same time.
"Let mommy talk to daddy first, okay?"
"Okay." The stated in unison before running off to play with the many toys their godmother kept in her home for them.
Liv hadn't share anything with Abby or Stephen about she and Fitz, so talking to him was her only alternative. "Hello." She greets him
"Hi, Livvie." He responded, but she didn't say anything else
"Livvie, are you there?"
"Yes." She states as she exhales slightly irritably
"Umm, baby I'm sorry how I acted on when you called, but I promise I will explain everything when I get home."
"And when is that?" She questioned
"Soon love." He answered
Liv didn't like the fact that he wouldn't give her a straight answer and was done with the conversation. "I need to give Stephen back his phone. We'll talk when you get home." She then hung up before standing and walking into the den to give Stephen back his phone. "Thanks Stephen." She then returns to the living room with Abby.
Fitz was left in a state of shock and disbelief, but at the same time he knew he deserved what just happened. He would have to deal with Olivia later. He needed to take care of things with Giulia first. He was still not quit used to explaining himself to others, that included his wife. He had the tendency to fall back into old habits, and today was no exception.
Hours later he there was a knock on his private bedroom door. He slowly stands from his sleeping position and walks over and opens it. "Yes Mark?"
"Sir Ms. Rossi is gone. It looks like she left in a hurry."
A/N: Short but sweet...Until next time.
