6 years after the 2nd defeat of Z-Arc, Yuya Sakaki, alongside the spirits of Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri, are living a good life in Paradise City, when one visit to the library transports our heroes into another world alongside 3 other people wielding a Sword, a Spear, a Bow, and with Yuya wielding… a Shield? Can Yuya Sakaki save the world with 3 spirits, a slave, and a shield? Find out!

6. The Duel of Spear and Shield

Hey guys and gals, it's CMBasher7 back with another installment of Yuya Sakaki, Rise of the Duelist Shield Hero(s).

I don't own anything from The Rising of the Shield Hero or Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, they and anything I write belongs to their respective owners and creators. And any pieces of work that isn't mine, like music, etc. belongs to their respective creators.

Good news, I forget to mention this but I'm an Uncle now.

Also, this Chapter will be a long one and by my opinion a great one for you, I hope.

Anyways, with that out of the way, let's start the Aftermath of the Wave.

Last time on Yuya Sakaki, Rise of the Duelist Shield Hero(s)...

Yuya gritted his teeth, knowing that he just can't leave those innocent villagers to die at the hands of the Waves or go through what Raphtalia went through.

"We're going!" Yuya says to Raphtalia, gaining her attention.

"Huh?" Raphtalia said wondering where they will go, will they fight the Wave Boss Monster or protect Lute Village.

But Yuya had already made up his mind the moment he was transported here and saw Lute Village under attack.

"To Lute Village!" Yuya shouted as he ran towards Lute Village. He placed his 5 drawn cards back into his Deck.

Raphtalia smiled at Yuya's desicion to protect the people of Lute Village.

"Right!" Raphtalia said with a firm nod and followed behind Master Yuya drawing her sword from it's sheath.

...

"I'll use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale! I'm taking control of this fight starting NOW!" Yuya shouted as he placed two monsters onto the Red and Blue Pendulum Scales.

Upon placing his cards on his [Duel Disk (Crimson) Shield], the words appeared reading in rainbow colors: "P-E-N-D-U-L-U-M", as two pillars of light then shone down in between and behind Yuya. High above and in between the two pillar of lights, a gigantic version of Yuya's Crystal Pendant swung back and forth like a pendulum before it slowly started to swing in circles.

Appearing in the two pillars of light, inside them it contained two magicians that looked different to each other, but they both seem to hold massive amounts of power inside the columns of light.

"I'm now allowed to summon monsters between Levels 2 through 7 all at the same time!" Yuya shouted with a wide grin on his face.

"Swing far Pendulum! Carve the arc of Victory! My Monsters are ready..." Yuya shot his shield hand up into the air with his palm open.

"...TO SWING INTO ACTION!"

As the gigantic version of Yuya's pendant started to swing around in large oval arcs, like one of those spinning paint can arts, in-between Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician, a circular portal opened up between the pendant's arching swings and 3 lights bursted forth from the portal, one was orange, one was green, and the last one was purple.

"I Pendulum Summon!"

...

"Help me bounce these fools out of here, Performapal Trampolynx!"

"Lend a helping hand, Performapal Partnaga!"

"Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

...

"LET'S SCORCH EVERYTHING WE SEE TOGETHER, ODD-EYES PENDULUM DRAGON! TWIN SPIRAL FLAME STRIKE!" Yuya shouted as his shield's Odd-Eyes-like Dragon face and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's jaws both opened at the same time.

Then at the same time, both Odd-Eyes and [Odd-Eyes (Pen.) Dragon Shield] released from their mouths, two spiraling pillars of scarlet red and black flames at the Giant Zombie, which actually made a massive Meteor-like crash behind the monster and tearing any trees or massive boulders in the area to shrapnel, dealing an insanely massive total of battle damage combined together, but it seemed that the Giant Zombie still wanted to continue fighting.

Before it could do anything, Raphtalia quickly moved in and dealt the finishing blows with her sword, moving as fast as the wind, she was able to kill it without the giant zombie even knowing what had happened to it, if it could even think.

...

Suddenly, a multiple flames were shot up high into the air but they didn't look like a flares and looked more like fireballs and they seemed to be shot into the sky OUTSIDE Lute Village rather than inside. They flames all met up in the middle underneath Yuya, Raphtalia, and Odd-Eyes.

"What is that?" Yuya wondered as he took on a more defensive stance as did Odd-Eyes and Raphtalia.

Suddenly, the flames exploded and reformed themselves into a large and numerous amount of flaming arrows as they all started to come down onto the village with the Wave monsters and Yuya, Raphtalia, and Odd-Eyes still in the village.

Yuya immediately notice them coming down and quickly ran towards Raphtalia and hugged her closely to him, Odd-Eyes ran over and covered both Yuya and Raphtalia as the flames began to fall down onto the Village.

"LOOK OUT!" Yuya shouted as he covered Raphtalia, and Odd-Eyes covered the both of them, a blue aura surrounded all 3 of them. Raphtalia blushed at how close she was to her Master Yuya.

Like that one scene in Disney Dinosaurs, flames rain down from the sky like meteors as they burned everything in the village to ash, nothing was safe from the flames. Monsters burned to ashes, Wood turned to charcoal, Stone became rubble, anything and everything not flammable was burned away. Yuya covered Raphtalia as Odd-Eyes covered both of them as all they heard was the screaming of the flames burning everything they touched down to the ground.

As the flaming arrows rained down on the village, Yuya, Raphtalia, and Odd-Eyes suddenly heard the sound of someone laughing as they also heard the sound of metal clanking entering the burning village.

Entering Lute Village, was a group of 17 Guards that Yuya instantly recognized their armor as the same one as the ones the knights from the castle wore.

"We burned them all to death in a single strike." The Captain of the Knights said with a sick smile. He then noticed Yuya and Odd-Eyes. "Hm? The Shield Hero? You're pretty tough."

"They didn't even care about us." Yuya let out a growl, angered that the Royal Knight Captain didn't care about if anyone was still in Lute Village.

Hearing this, Raphtalia was suddenly overcome by a burning rage she couldn't believe that the Knights would do this and not care about if they were still inside the Village. Gritting her teeth as she glared at the careless Captain of the Knights.

Raphtalia was angry and unlike normally, it showed. Before Yuya knew what was happening, Raphtalia shot off of him and made a straight shot to the Knight captain talking, a man of below average build with a small mustache. Her blade was intercepted by his direct subordinate, a man with a large scar across his face. The man crossing sword with her was somewhat struggling to keep her at bay, which seemed to surprise him. The captain himself looked a little scared by how close the blade was from going through his mouth, he silently thanked his Vice-Captain.

"Did any of you know Yuya-sama was here? Did you do it deliberately? Depending on your answer, I'll have your head." Her face twisted in fury and her words said very calmly in contrast made for a threatening sight to behold.

After absorbing and gaining new shields, Yuya and Raphtalia went to work on cutting what remained of the Chimera into pieces so they could sell at Merchants and Resturaunts, they then left the clearing and started to make their way back to the kingdom, ready to sell the parts they had just collected. Yuya just hoped that nothing could ruin this day for him and her.

("RISE" - MADKID)

We start the intro with Yuya, Motoyasu, Itsuki, and Ren being first summoned to Melromarc, but they all wore their own armors as Yuya flicked his white cloak away revealing Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri's spirits standing right behind him.

The Legendary Sword's blue orb glows in Ren's hand.

The Legendary Bow's yellow orb glows in Itsuki's hand.

The Legendary Spear's red orb glows in Motoyasu's hand.

The Legendary Shield's green orb glows as Yuya opens his eyes revealing the skin around his eyes cracked and having a combination of crimson red, grey, blueish-green, and purple color in both eyes.

We get a bird's eye-view of Castle Town as we pan across the main castle of Melromarc.

We cut to Yuya covering his eyes with his Shield as Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri all stand behind him with Yugo grinning happily, Yuto is giving a smirk, and Yuri just rolls his eyes as they all look out on top of a cliff.

Yuya, along with Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri are walking along side a bridge. We then transition to Raphtalia as she walks pasts cell bars. She runs towards the bars and reaches a hand out, like she was trying to find someone to help her escape.

We cut to Ren landing, before getting back up and striking a pose as Starving Venom Fusion Dragon appears behind Ren with Ren's party members.

We cut again to Itsuki entering a dive roll before pulling back an arrow as Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon appears and is charging in the same direction as the bow alongside Itsuki's party members.

We cut again to Motoyasu running along as Myne runs past him, he stops and strikes a pose as Clear Wing Synchro Dragon appears high above and is looking down at the reader with Motoyasu's party members appearing on both his left and right side.

We cut one more time to Yuya as Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri all surround Yuya as Yugo gives him a noogie, Yuto just has his arms crossed over one another and a warm determined smile on his face, while Yuto is just slightly far away from them with a smirk on his face as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon runs towards Yuya as he smiles and jumps up and rides on the back of his Ace Pendulum Monster.

We cut to Myne leaning against the Throne with King Aultcray sitting in his throne. Myne smiles evilly as she grabs the camera before cutting to Yuya walking away.

We cut to Yuya falling down some stairs as he slams his back against some cell bars.

Raphtalia's Slave Crest begins to glow purple gaining both her and Yuya's attention.

We cut to a massive and ornate gold with red crystals hourglass as sands falls between each of the hourglasses glass, but when the last one fell a powerful and massive golden light was emitted from the hourglass.

We cut to a hoard of viscous monsters as the sky turns a frightening blood red color as swirls appear above the clouds.

A female figure appears standing on top of the mast of a boat, looking down watching and analyzing the Heroes.

Yuya and Raphtalia both reach out between the bars to try and grab each other. We catch a glimpse of the Legendary Shield's Skill tree.

The cells keeping Yuya and Raphtalia apart breaks as Raphtalia suddenly ages up, despite Yuya not aging a single bit.

Ren slices a monster in half with the help of his Sword, his Party Members, and Yuri's Predaplants, who were consuming weaker monsters left to right.

Itsuki dodges a volley of arrows as he runs up a cliff with the help of Yuto's Phantom Knights and Itsuki's party members acting as covering fire to help support him as he fires arrows at multiple opposing monsters.

Motoyasu leaps into the air as he uses the Legendary Spear to stab a series of monsters before he lands on top of Hi-Speedroid Clear Wing Rider and drives off to kill more monsters with Myne, his party members, and Yugo's Speedroids.

We cut Erhard, Beloukas, and many other people we have never even met yet in Melromarc as a cloak figure watches from behind and in the shadow, there was a sudden golden light that emanated from around his torso.

Before we cut to 2 women who look of royalty, a young girl with blue hair tied in pigtails and an older woman with purple hair who's face looks suspiciously like Myne's but at the same time isn't. Behind them are a series of people wearing Domino masks and black hoods.

We cut to Raphtalia pulling a sword out as Yuya holds back a monster as his Performapals, who help both him and Raphtalia out-maneuver many monsters attacks or even lower or switch their opponents stats or strengthen their own, as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon bites down on a monster that was about to attack it's master from behind. Yuya and Raphtalia's teamwork is working amazingly well, covering each other's weaknesses and using each other's strength to help one another. We can even see what can only be seen as large animal gladiators fighting alongside the Performapals, Yuya, Raphtalia, and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.

Yuya blocks another monster's attack as a little girl with blonde hair and wings rushes out into the battlefield, she flies up and transforms into a large bird and takes down a series of monsters with wind attacks and kicks.

A hand opens up a fan and unleashes a series of attacks at Yuya, the bird, and Raphtalia as Yuya pulls his shield up to block the attacks.

As Yuya lowers it slightly to look, he transforms his shield into [Odd-Eyes (Pen.) Dragon Shield] as he and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, both unleash a devastating "Twin Spiral Flame Strike" attack together at both the floating woman with fans and the wave of monsters at once.

The screen goes white as we slowly cut back to Yuya, Yugo, Yuri, and Yuto walking along a path as Raphtalia walks way behind them.

They all look behind them, except Yuri, and motion for her to pick up the pace and join them. She smiles happily and runs to give Yuya a hug, who graciously takes it, before quickly cutting back to Raphtalia holding onto Yuya's arm as he has tears forming in his eyes.

Yuto, Yugo, Yuri all appear behind Yuya as they, Raphtalia, and the large bird hold onto him as Yuya unleashes a more stronger variant of [Spiral Flame Strike] at his opponent.

We see the title, which has the Legendary Weapons at the NorthEast, NorthWest, SouthEast, and SouthWest corners with the Four Dimensional Dragons surrounding the North, East, South and West directions.

"YUYA SAKAKI, RISE OF THE DUELIST SHEILD HERO(S)"

Castle Town, Dusk...

It had only been at least a couple of hours since Yuya and Raphtalia made their way back to Castle Town and the sun had started to go down for tonight as the moon slowly breaks through the earth and into the sky.

As Yuya and Raphtalia sold the remaining Chimera parts and Wave Monsters parts to a Merchant, gaining some Gold in the process due to the first being a Wave Boss Monster, and the latter giving them silvers.

After they left, that was when Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri noticed how many villagers were out of their houses, the lights were on inside the buildings, and it looked like people were celebrating and throwing a festival right now.

"What's... going on here?" Yuya asked Raphtalia if she knew what is happening right now.

Raphtalia shrugged her shoulders, she didn't even know what was going on.

They then saw Erhard walking out of his shop, Yuya and Raphtalia walked towards the Blacksmith, and when he spotted the two walking towards him he smiled and waved a hand.

"Hey, Kids!" Erhard greeted Yuya and Raphtalia with a grin. "What are you guys doing here? Shouldn't you be at the castle?" He asked Yuya.

"Why?" Yuya asked with a raised confused eyebrow.

"Are you serious? Didn't the King say you and the other Heroes would be payed every month for defeating a Wave?" Erhard asked him with an equally raised eyebrow. "The King is throwing a celebration for the Heroes beating their first Wave right now."

"Really now? I didn't hear a word he said, probably due to how much he smells like trash." Yuya said with a cheeky smirk. This caused Erhard to laugh at Yuya's joke.

"Anyways, you better get your reward." Erhard tells Yuya.

"I'm not going. The people there will treat me like dirt... at best." Yuya said with a deadpanned expression, no WAY he was going to that party.

"I hear their giving free food to the Heroes and their Party Members." Erhard said with a smile as he glanced at Raphtalia with a smile. This man knew what he was doing and he was reveling in it.

"Can we go! Please! Please! Pleeeease~!" Raphtalia begged Yuya to go to the party as she pulled her trump card, Innocent Puppy Eyes.

Yuya made several faces that looked very discomforting, but eventually he gave in. "Fine. Just this once. I should have know not to let Bubblebowwow teach you that." Yuya said, he was going to have a serious talk with that Pendulum monster's behavior, if he doesn't fall for it's Innocent Puppy Eyes like the last time he summoned it.

"I'll get you back, Erhard. I hope you know that." Yuya said, glaring at the Blacksmith, the man just gave a soft chuckle. Yuya and Raphtalia then made their way to the castle. Yuya had a bad feeling about this.

Melromarc Castle...

Yuya and Raphtalia had made their way into the castle after Yuya was accepted in, with some dirty glares and talking behind his back, not only about him but about Raphtalia as well. Yuya had to take three deep breaths just so he wouldn't punch the knights faces.

Once they made their way to the ball room, they saw a incredibly long table full of delicious looking food, music played gently for their audiences listening at the stairs with a piano next to the right flight of stairs at the dance floor with a singer on stage at the lower stairways, and speaking of which, the main floor was full of royal looking noblemen and women. Yuya spotted quickly King Aultcray XXXII at the second floor, he also noticed Motoyasu, Ren, and Itsuki on the dance floor.

"Thanks to our Heroes, the battle was splendidly won." King Aultcray XXXII said with a smile. "And tonight, we celebrate!"

He then raised his cup into their air and towards his guests and Heroes down below him.

"Enjoy yourselves to the fullest!" King Aultcray tells them.

Nearly every Noblemen and Women, as well as the Heroes on the main floor, raised their cups into the air and let out a sound of joy at a battle the Heroes had won against.

"HOORAY!" Nearly everyone shouted with their cups in the air.

They all started to have a good time, people talked to one another, some went to grab food to eat.

"Weren't the heroes fantastic?" A Noblemen asked his other noblemen and women.

"Our country has nothing to worry about." Another Nobleman said with a smile.

All in all, everyone was joyous and happy at the successful first battle with the Heroes.

...

...well, everyone, but four people, three of which are spirits. Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri.

Yuya was sitting up next to the window as Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri all either sat or stood around him by the window, watching the guests have fun.

'This is ridiculous.' Yuya thought to himself and his counterpart.

"You got that right, Yuya." Yuri said agreeing with Yuya.

"Amen." Yuto said.

"We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Raphtalia's puppy eyes on wanting to eat." Yugo said with a scowl as he looked at the crowd.

'No, we wouldn't be staying here if it wasn't for the reward.' Yuya countered Yugo with a glare at him saying bad stuff about Raphtalia.

"Oof, sorry, didn't mean to insult your girlfriend." Yugo said with his hands up.

When Yugo said girlfriend, Yuya's face immediately turned a bright scarlet red color.

'S-She's NOT my girlfriend!' Yuya argued with a blush on his face.

"Right, and we're not from Different Dimensions." Yuto said sarcastically out of no where.

'YUTO! YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO BE ON MY SIDE!' Yuya said with wide eyes as he looked at Yuto with shock at him agreeing with Yugo.

"Oh, I am on your side. The side of getting you a girlfriend." Yuto said. "Look, Yuya, you obviously have feeling for Raphtalia as you once did with Zuzu, right? Don't even think about lying, we can hear it, remember?" He asks Yuya.

'Yes I do. It's just that-' Yuya thinks as he looks at Raphtalia, who was getting a drink for herself at one of the tables as nearly every one of the noblemen and women there looked at her with disgust, Yuya looked at the nobles with disgust for looking at her like that, he then shook his head regaining his attention back onto the conversation.

'What if she doesn't feel the same way back to me? What if it's just Myne all over again? What if she sees it at just mutual? I mean, she's a slave and I'm just her master.' Yuya mentally tells them as he looks down in sadness.

"And what if SHE doesn't see it as just being mutual like you say it is, hmm? What if she DOES feel the same way about you? What then?" Yuto answers Yuya's questions with his own questions.

'I-I-I-' Yuya mentally stutters as he tries to either come up with an answer or make another excuse for himself to not love her.

Thankfully, the chatter from the Noblemen and Noblewomen next to him got Yuya's attention as he listen in on their conversation.

"And the latest reports say that there were very few casualties." Another Nobleman said, which he was actually mentioning Lute Village.

"We all owe everything to our brave heroes." The Noblewoman said, unfortunately they didn't think that the Shield Hero was the only one who saved Lute Village.

"Well I did my part. I held my ground against a massive monster and fought with honor as a royal knight!" The Royal Knight's Captain said with a grin, Yuya guessed he was the one who twisted the tale that it was him, Raphtalia, and Odd-Eyes who actually saved Lute Village.

He then got an evil idea, an awfully evil idea, an sinisterly evil idea. Yuya then started to smile like the Grinch. And so, he spoke out to the Captain of the Royal Knight's group.

"Is that's true, Captain? Cause it can't be. Because I seem to recall you peeing your breeches when that giant zombie nearly chopped you in two as you cried like a little baby?" Yuya called out to the Captain of the Royal Knight's with an evil smile.

"Did you teach him that, Yuri?" Yuto asked his Fusion Counterpart.

"Yes. And I am proud of doing so." Yuri said to his Xyz Counterpart with a grin.

But Yuya wasn't done yet, his smile then vanished from his face and into a smirk. "And really? Honor? You left your knights to die facing a horde of monsters by themselves." Yuya said with an evil grin.

The Captain's group all looked at the Captain of the Royal Knights with disgust and left the lying Captain alone to join some other group, leaving him with Yuya.

"D-Don't, he's lying, ladies come on." The Captain cried out to them, but it was too late and they had already left him. He then turned around with a angered expression in his face at Yuya. "Why you..."

Yuya just gave a grin to the Captain and shrugged his shoulder that just said 'Sorry, Not Really'. The Captain gave a huff and left, not wanting to ruin the celebration with a fight against the Shield Hero.

With the other Cardinal Heroes, they were the talk of the Dance Floor right now as many of the Noblewoman were talking with Motoyasu. And Some of the Noblemen were talking with Ren and Itsuki, trying to get friendly with them or give them information.

"I'm so truly honored to meet you, brave Spear Hero." A Noblewoman complimented Motoyasu at meeting him.

"You don't happen to have a lover, do you?" Another Noblewoman asked with flirtatious eyes.

"Oh, hey, uh..." Motoyasu stuttered with a blush.

Myne, having stood next to Motoyasu's side, walks up towards the noblewomen with glaring eyes.

"Sir Motoyasu has no time for that." Myne tells the Noblewomen with a glare in her eyes.

Raphtalia walks by Motoyasu, Myne, and the Noblewomen with a cup in her hand and a smile on her face as she walks over to Yuya, The Spear Hero notices her instantly.

Motoyasu tries to follow after Raphtalia to try and warn her about Yuya being a rapist and a sexual assaulter. But the Demi-Human weaves between the crowd as she continues making her way to her lov- I mean, her partner.

"Uh--hey, wait! You! I have to tell you something!" Motoyasu called out to Raphtalia, but unlike the latter, he is having some difficulty trying to move through the crowd.

"Sir Motoyasu." Myne's voice calls out as she grabs his shoulder.

"Uh? What is it, Myne?" Motoyasu asked his party member.

Myne then leans Motoyasu closer so she could whisper something into his ear about this important information about Yuya and Raphtalia's relationship.

We then pan over to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri and Raphtalia, both the only ones far away from the party and celebration.

"Yuya-sama!" Raphtalia happily said with a smile which warmed Yuya's heart greatly to hear her say his name. "This food here really looks amazing! You sure you don't want something to eat?" Raphtalia asked him.

"If you want to eat, you can go ahead." Yuya tells her, his eyes piercing at the Noblemen and Noblewomen who were looking at the two of them and were whispering to each other.

"I'd really like for you to join me." Raphtalia said with a small blush on her face.

"I'll pass, but thank you anyways." Yuya calmly denies Raphtalia's offer, denying to eat the food here. He still could barely taste anything before and now he could taste something now, but it still tasted bad, and weirdly enough, it was only when Raphtalia was happy that he could taste something.

Raphtalia frowned at Yuya denying to join her on eating some delicious food with her. So she headed off to get some pie to eat.

Yuya checked on their stats, after the Wave and killing those giant zombies and Wave monsters, he was now Level 21 and Raphtalia was now Level 24.

'So I can teleport party members or people with me? That would've come in real handy before.' Yuya thought as he read the Help menu as he thought back to the aftermath of Lute Village.

Suddenly, The Singer up onstage next to the stars at the dance floor, slowly came to a halt with her song before completely stopping and spoke to the guests.

"Now, this next one will be only for the couples, so if you want to join in with your special someone you may do so now." The Singer tells the audience about the next song that she will sing.

When Raphtalia heard this, she smiled as an idea formed in her head as she quickly made her way back to Yuya a smile on her face and a warm blush on her cheeks.

Yuya noticed Raphtalia coming back to him with a smile on her face. He rolled his eyes, thinking she wanted him to eat some more food or have a drink with her.

But when he noticed that there was no cup in her hand or food on a plate in her hands, he grew curious of why she was coming back towards him as he watched her walk over to him.

When she was near him, he thought he could make out a blush on her face, but he dismissed this as just his imagination. But what she said, made her blush travel to his face.

"Yuya-sama, M-May I have this dance with you?" Raphtalia shyly asked Yuya to dance with her.

Yuya's face was now covered by the same red as a strawberry, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri all looked at the two of them in complete and utter shock, they were having a private conversation between the three of them of having Yuya dance with Raphtalia, not the other way around. But hey, this works for them I guess.

"Uuuh... S-Sure?" Yuya's heart spoke out before his mind could make his mouth say no.

"Great!" Raphtalia smiled happily at Yuya agreeing to dance with her. "Let's go!" She said as she grabbed Yuya's hand and pulled him towards the dance floor as The Singer was about to start her next song.

Once the Shield Hero and the Demi-Human made their way to the central dance floor, Yuya remembered something that mostly no one knows about him.

"Raphtalia, I-I can't dance, well, I-I mean I can, b-b-but not in a ball room like this." Yuya stuttered with a blush on his face and worry in his eyes.

Yuya tightly closed his eyes, worried that Raphtalia would leave him to find another partner who could actually dance in a ball room than him. Preparing himself for her words and her hands to leave his, he awaited to hear her words.

"It's okay, neither can I." Raphtalia said with a smile.

Yuya opened his eyes and looked at Raphtalia, his worries all vanishing in a moment instantly. His heart thumped rapidly after it heard Raphtalia's words.

"But maybe... we could learn... together?" She asked with hope in her words that he would say yes. The light of the chandelier illuminating her face perfectly. Her left arm raised up with an open hand wanting to hold his.

Suddenly the pianist suddenly played his piano as The Singer sang her next song to the many couples on the dance floor. Many of the noble couples made their way to the dance floor as well.

Yuya, in awe by Raphtalia's words and how beautifully she suddenly looked in his eyes, slowly raised his right arm and gently grasped his hand in her's as he slowly and gently wrapped his other arm around her body carefully and held her gently. And suddenly, like a flower on the wind or water flowing down graciously along the river, the two of them suddenly started dancing together, hand-in-hand. Both had their eyes on the other, neither one looking away from each other.

The Pianist then started to sing, his voice was gorgeous as his wife, The Singer, and what he and his wife sang together resonated in both Yuya and Raphtalia's hearts. Both were a little scared and neither one was prepared, the both of them were The Beauty and The Beast.

Despite all the nasty looks and hurtful words they were both receiving from the not-so kinder Nobles in the room, they didn't care about them anymore as they only focused on each other and not anyone else.

Ren and Itsuki had both saw Yuya and Raphtalia dancing on the dance floor with such grace and beauty, that they looked more like watching two people actually falling in love with one another than a cheesy romantic cutscene like in their world's video games or a special Valentines event. They kinda wondered how Yuya was even able to access this event, they would ask him later about it. But as they wondered how this happened, Itsuki did not notice that one of his party members, a new party member who had joined the Bow Hero not to long ago after the Wave, her name was Rishia Ivyred, was glancing at him from time to time with a smile on her face and redness on her cheeks.

But Motoyasu looked at Yuya Sakaki with anger and rage on his face, it seemed that whatever Myne told to him had greatly pissed him, but not wanting to be a dick and interrupt The Singer, he would just have to wait until the Singer was done and their little "dance" was over. But he had to admit, they were beautiful in their dance, even if Yuya was a monster for what he has done.

Myne watched with a smile on her face at the two, like she had done something wrong and was awaiting for the chaos to ensue, but then she felt something grasping her right hand, it felt the same way as her; cold and heartless, but it was also bittersweet and strange. So, pulling her right hand back and looking at her right side, she saw that no one or thing there that held her hand was even there. Confused, she looked around the area to find who held her hand. She actually kinda liked the feeling of holding that hand than with Motoyasu's hand holding hers. She then decided to hold on looking for the person that held her hand, and watched Yuya and Raphtalia's dancing awaiting the chaos to unfold when it ended.

Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri all watched Yuya's and Raphtalia's dance with smiles on both of the Xyz Dimension and Synchro Dimension faces. The Fusion Dimension looked at Yuya and Raphtalia dance from time to time, but he mainly focused his attention of Myne. So, Yuri then walked over to the right side of Myne, he then slowly and hesitantly moved his hand into hers. When her hand pulled back and phased through his, he left to return back with his dimensional look-alikes, leaving her to look around for him even if it was pointless for her.

Back with Yuya and Raphtalia, the song from The Pianist and The Singer was just about to end, just after Yuya had spun Raphtalia around with one arm as they both stared into each other's eyes and she landed gracefully back onto the dance floor with Yuya as the two continued their dance, both of their hearts were beating. Nearing the end of the song, Yuya slowly closed his eyes and moved his head closer to Raphtalia's, his lips moving closer to hers. Raphtalia also did the same as she closed her eyes and moved her head closer to Yuya's, her lips moving closer to his.

Suddenly, Yuya was pulled away from Raphtalia's grasp as he felt a leather covered hand grabbing his arm very tightly. Shocked and angered by what just happened, Yuya looked to see who was the culprit and found Motoyasu looking furiously at him.

"What the hell, Motoyasu?!" Yuya shouted wanting an answer for him interrupting his and Raphtalia's dance, and how close they were to kissing each other. Yuya had to hold back his blush from reaching his face.

Motoyasu then pulled his leather glove off of his hand with his mouth, his angered eyes never leaving his.

"Yuya Sakaki..." Motoyasu spoke, anger clear in his voice. This threw Yuya in for a surprise, but not by much.

"Hmm? What is it now, Motoyasu?" Yuya asked with a roll of his eyes and a raised eyebrow.

Motoyasu then threw his glove onto the floor in front of Yuya, anger in his eyes and his Legendary Spear ready to strike as Myne stood behind him. Everyone in the room all gasped in shock of this as they all knew what this meant to them.

But Yuya seemed indifferent to this, so as he looked at the glove on the floor he slowly raised his head back up to Motoyasu with a raised eyebrow once again, wanting an explanation. Ren and Itsuki looked at the commotion and saw Yuya and Motoyasu they made their way over to them.

"I challenge you to a duel." Was all that Motoyasu said.

"Godammit, why do you want a fight, Motoyasu?" Yuya was tired of the conversation before it even began.

"I heard all about it!" He placed his hand on Raphtalia, something Yuya had now been put in an even worse mood by.

"About what, you loudmouth?" Yuya asked.

"Don't play dumb. I know the truth. Raphtalia here is your slave!" Motoyasu shouted. "And that she follows your every command."

Yuya stood, knowing this situation was about to go out of his control. "Yes, she's my slave." He then slapped Motoyasu's hand off of Raphtalia and then took a step towards him. "And If you knew that, then you should know not to touch her."

Both Ren and Itsuki were surprised by this and how he just said it so casually.

Motoyasu grew angrier. "What the hell is wrong with you!? You can't just own someone like that!" He argues. "You can't be saying that you think it's okay to enslave others!"

"The country of Melromarc actually allows slavery, and encourages it, so really it's completely legal." Yuya calmly reasoned, he was really trying to not burn everything to the ground with [Spiral Flame Strike]. "And she has been of great help to me." And he didn't mean in a fight, but also to his mentality.

"I-It's not about what's legal! It's about what's right! We're suppose to be heroes in this world! We shouldn't behave that way here and you know it! How can you possibly justify this sort of thing?" Motoyasu questioned him.

"Before I answer that, I have a question... Why are you yelling at me for having a single slave, when many of the nobles here in this room have maybe at least 10 or more? Hell, why not yell at the king. He's the one who makes the rules here!" Yuya argued pointing at King Aultcray.

"That can't be right! These people are of a noble background, they'd never lower themselves to that!" Motoyasu argued.

At this, Yuya laughed and not just a little bit. He was laughing like a mad man and Yuri wasn't controlling his body with him.

"Motoyasu. Slavery has been a around on my Earth's history for a long time, even the first President of my Earth's America was a slave owner! That's just a historical fact. Now ask yourself this, 'who made it legal and who can make it illegal'. You want to free Raphtalia so badly? Do it legally." Yuya tells him.

Motoyasu growled and then aimed his spear at Yuya's head he wanted to duel him right now for Raphtalia's freedom.

"Then let's do this!" Motoyasu growled.

"Hmm?" Yuya hummed as Raphtalia gasped at how close the Legendary Spear was to Yuya's face.

"I said duel me. If I win, you will set Raphtalia free from your clutches." Motoyasu says.

"And if I win?" Yuya asked with a raised eyebrow but his eyes still held anger.

"If you win? Ha! Like that'll ever happen." Motoyasu chuckled, Yuya is a Shielder with the lowest ATK stat out of all of them. "But when you win, then things will stay the same and continue how they are." Motoyasu tells him.

Yuya was floored by his idiocy, "Are you an idiot? It's either I win and keep Raphtalia, or I lose and gain nothing? That's not a duel, that's just you mugging me! I obviously refuse!" He said.

"He actually has a slave in his party?" Itsuki asked, shocked by what he heard.

"Man, how much lower is this guy gonna go?" Ren questioned Yuya's decision.

"You can't blame him, Sir Itsuki and Sir Ren." Rishia's voice said, gaining the Bow Hero and Sword Hero attention. Her face became flustered from them focusing on her, especially the Bow Hero.

Rishia is a young looking girl around Itsuki's age with long, green hair, green eyes, and a rather petite figure. Her hair is tied into two braids with ribbons. She wears green clothes and a brown vest over a beige dress, brown arm guards, and boots. She also wears what appears to be a green cape with gold trim and red jewel button.

"I-If I was ever the Shield Hero, even I would do anything in my power to survive, even if that resorts to owning a slave." Rishia tells Itsuki.

Itsuki and Ren both thought about this and couldn't blame Yuya, if either of them were chosen as the Shield Hero and not Yuya, then they would have probably done the same thing as him to try and catch up with their fellow Heroes.

Yuya then took Raphtalia's hand and began to make their way towards the exit, but several knight from inside and outside the room halted them at the stairs. Yuya turned around to see the king at the balcony once again.

"It has been brought to my attention..." King Aultcray spoke. "...that you, a Hero, have been using a Demi-Human as your slave to fight for you."

"You violated our customs and that is reprehensible." King Aultcray said to Yuya with hate and disgust in his voice.

Myne let's out a chuckle seeing her plan to hurt the Shield Hero more is working.

"I order you. TO ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE!" King Aultcray XXXII ordered Yuya to accept Motoyasu's Duel.

Many of the guests there let out gasps of shock. A battle between the Hero of the Spear vs. the Hero of the Shield.

"Well I don't care what you order, I said no and that's final!" Yuya tells the King with a glare. He wanted to leave this place and he will.

The seven Knights at the stairs aimed their weapon at Yuya once again. Yuya glared at the Knights to try and stab him just to see what happens if they do.

Raphtalia then spoke up, "Please stop this, they don't need to fight! I'm with Yuya by my own free will and--" Suddenly, a knight gagged her from behind. It was the Captain of the Royal Knights. She tried to escape from his grasp.

"RAPHTALIA!" Yuya shouted, enraged that these assholes had a backup plan in case Yuya denied Motoyasu's duel. "YOU LEAVE HER ALONE!"

"Ah, You poor creature." King Aultcray XXXII said looking at Raphtalia with pity, but while Yuya thought it was fake, it actually sounded genuine. "You've been placed under a curse that forces you to defend him, have you not?"

There was just utter silence from Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, and Raphtalia as they all just looked up at King Aultcray XXXII on the balcony with an expression that just said, 'Really? THAT'S what you're going with' and, 'There's no way anyone THAT dumb would even believe that'.

"You DO know how crazy that sounds, right?" Yuya asked for the sanity of King Aultcray, but he ignored him like always. The Captain then suddenly pulled Raphtalia back up the stairs as she tried to once again escape as Yuya tried to help Raphtalia escape, but couldn't due to the Knights blocking him from escaping.

"Don't worry. Once Master Motoyasu wins, you shall be released from that curse." King Aultcray says in a comforting tone to Raphtalia.

"STOP IT! DON'T HURT HER!" Yuya yelled not wanting Raphtalia to be hurt.

"Draw Swords!" A Knight at the top of the stairs shouted as he drew his sword and aimed it at Yuya. Every loyal Royal Knight drew their swords and aimed them at Yuya.

All the Noblewomen let out gasps of fear and surprise as they went away from the Knights to not get injured.

"Heed my order, or I shall take her from you by force." King Aultcray tells Yuya in a threatening tone.

Motoyasu then walked down the stairs, his eyes locked on Yuya as he stood next to the Captain holding Raphtalia hostage.

"There is no way that you're getting out of this, you coward." Motoyasu sneered at Yuya.

"YOU'RE A SCUMBAG!" Yuya shouted at Motoyasu, causing him to let out a gasp in shock. "I WILL WIN! AND RAPHTALIA WILL BE RETURNED TO ME!"

Raphtalia watched Yuya with worry for him, she had never seen him this angry before. She was also moved that Yuya was that worried for her, but she couldn't voice her words to him at the moment.

Yuya, Motoyasu, and Raphtalia then heard the sound of Myne laughing.

"And how exactly will you win without her, Shield Hero?" Myne mockingly asked him, wanting to know how he will ever win without Raphtalia.

The other guests started to laugh at Yuya, taunting him that he will never save her since he has the lowest attack stat here.

Yuya was enraged, he couldn't save Raphtalia without having to fight Motoyasu for her freedom, and even if he doesn't take the King's words then they'll forcefully remove the Slave Crest on Raphtalia. Then, an idea popped right into his brain, he just had to hope it works.

"Can I make one request?" Yuya asked to King Aultcray, wanting to ask for one request of his own for the Duel.

King Aultcray looked at Motoyasu with a raised eyebrow, Motoyasu looked back at him, then back at Yuya, then back to the King. And nodded his head, allowing Yuya to have his one request.

"You may." King Aultcray XXXII said, allowing him this one request.

"I accept you're duel Motoyasu, but we'll be doing this duel with our Duel Disks, no weapons, just Duel Monsters and luck on our sides. Agreed?" Yuya said glaring daggers at Motoyasu.

"Do you accept this... request, Sir Motoyasu?" King Aultcray asked Motoyasu if he was alright with Yuya's one request. He wanted to see what Yuya's Duelist skills were like, but he was also cautious of them.

The crowd was very curious to see what this... Duel Disk could do? And what were Duel Monsters? Were they going to call upon vicious monsters to fight for them? They were wondering to see what happens.

"Hmm." Motoyasu hummed with a hand on his chin in thought, he then walked down towards Yuya. "Just the two of us having a Duel, with nothing but our Duel Disks? I accept this request, but be prepared to get beaten, Yuya." He said, agreeing to the terms of Yuya's request. He then spat in Yuya's face.

The Arena...

Everyone that was in the ball room was now making their way to the castle's Arena to watch the battle between Motoyasu Kitamura, The Spear Hero, and Yuya Sakaki, The Shield Hero. Many were very exited about the request by Yuya to have a this Duel Monsters and some began to start betting on who would actually win this duel.

At first, many would have betted on Motoyasu to defeat Yuya Sakaki easily. But after the request from the latter, many were changing their minds and some of the smarter nobles were betting on Yuya to win instead of Motoyasu, due to wanting to see if the poor Shield Hero would actually win and prove those that stayed on Motoyasu's side wrong.

One of these people was a figure who wore a cloak, while many couldn't see their face they could make out a mature male figure's face and 2 pairs of intense and determined glowing purple eyes. You could see something shine below and around his neck.

A Noble walked up to him, it was the Lord of Lute Village, who was invited to join the celebration, and when the duel came he had already placed his bets on Yuya to win even before the Shield Hero made his request.

"So, who do you think would win? Mr...?" Lute Village's Lord asked the cloaked Figure.

"Just call me, The Painter. As for who would win, I have a complete faith that Yuya Sakaki will be the true winner of this duel." The figure, now known as The Painter said, his voice was deep and determined, as he held a smirk.

Lute Villages Lord smiled at The Painter's choice of a winner, he looked back into the empty arena, which was awaiting it's dueling heroes to battle within it. When he was about to ask why he had faith that Yuya would win, he turned to look at The Painter, only to find him gone, leaving no trace of himself behind.

With Yuya, he was seen preparing his Deck as he sat on the floor and looked through his Deck and Extra Deck, filling it with his Normal Monsters, Pendulum Monsters, and Extra Deck Monsters that fitted the archetype of his deck both new and old. Yuya then spotted a Monster in his Deck that he received from Dennis McField after becoming a ProDuelist Champion.

Surrounding Yuya, almost taunting him, were weapon racks filled with nothing but deadly weapons ranging of Swords, Mace, Axes, etc.

Yuya smiled at remembering his Fusion friend who was now a Xyzian Duelist Teacher. He then placed the monster in his Deck. He then got up from the floor and looked out.

"You ready for this, Yuya?" Yuto asked Yuya.

"Always."

"You made a good Deck?" Yugo asked Yuya.

"As best as I could."

"This is crazy, you know that, right?" Yuri said Yuya.

"Oh-ho yeah." Yuya said to Yuri.

"The Duel between the Spear Hero and the Shield Hero will now begin!" An Announcer told the audience. Yuya thankfully had informed the announcer the bare minimum of how to win Duel Monsters.

"The duel will end only when one Duelist runs out of Life Points, can no longer draw any cards, or one surrenders." The Announcer told the audience the rules of Duel Monster's way to win.

The Audience we're surprised by the rules uniqueness, Life Points? Did that mean that these challengers would actually be dueling each other like usual, but then why was cards mention? What did they have to do? The surrender made the most sense, if one person could not beat the other, they would have to give up.

The doors suddenly opened letting light enter both Motoyasu's and Yuya's room, the Duel was now about to begin and he was going to wow the crowd.

On Motoyasu's side, A row of Knights were on both sides and held their swords up in honor of the Spear Hero. But on Yuya's side, he had no one.

Slowly, the two Duelists walked out of their hallways and entered the big area in the center as crowds of nobles watched from above awaiting to see what this Duel Monsters was like.

Yuya held a smirk as he walked out of his hallway as Motoyasu held a stern expression walking out of his. As they walked closer to one another, Yuya spotted King Aultcray and his advisors sitting on thrones as Raphtalia was behind them, her mouth gagged, preventing her from speaking.

On the other side, Yuya spotted a kind-looking man wearing Catholic Pope clothing which was white, yellow, and red. He wore a warm smile and glasses on his face around his neck was a gold variant of the pendant he saw at the Church. A Bow, A Spear, and a Sword. Yuto could sense another presence near the Pope, one that felt familiar to him.

"This duel will take place in the presence of King Aultcray XXXII and the Pope, thus making it legitimate and official." The Announcer said to the crowd. The spectators let out gasps of awe that the Pope was here.

Itsuki and Ren watched from their seats, and wondered why Yuya chose to request that he and Motoyasu had a Duel Monsters Match. They paid close attention to him.

Motoyasu waved at the crowd with a cocky smile on his face his Legendary Spear placed right behind him. And his Duel Disk on his left arm.

"Sir Motoyasu! Best of Luck!" Myne cheered for Motoyasu's victory. She stood on the sidelines, not in the seats with the other spectators which confused Yuya somewhat.

'Yuri, I want you on Myne duty, make sure to tell me if she does anything suspicious.' Yuya mentally tells Yuri as he looks at Myne.

"Got it." Yuri said as he walked over to Myne and stood next to her.

Once Motoyasu and Yuya nearly at the center of the Arena, the two glared each other down, but only Yuya smiled and Motoyasu only sneered at Yuya's smile.

"You ever hear the folk tale about the irresistible spear and the immovable shield?" Motoyasu asked Yuya out of no where.

"Hmm, no I don't think I ever have." Yuya said his smile still on his face.

"I'm pretty sure it's Immovable, not Irresistible, and they weren't a Spear and Shield, but a Force and an Object." Yuto said with a raised eyebrow.

"Guess we know what major he's not in." Yugo joked making Yuri laugh.

"Yuya, be a man and admit defeat!" Motoyasu said with his Duel Disk raised as he took an offensive stance.

Yuya didn't take a battle position and just stood there with a smile on his face.

"You know she's right about that?" Yuya said with a smile.

"About... what?" Motoyasu cautiously asked.

"Having the best of luck." Yuya calmly said to him as he looks at his fingernails his smile still on his face.

"Oh yeah, why's that?" Motoyasu said as he ready his Duel Disk.

"Because you should have been more cautious about my request." Yuya said, this confused Motoyasu.

"Oh, yeah? Why should I be?" Motoyasu asked.

"Because you should have specified what TYPE of Duel Monsters match that we'll be having." Yuya said surprising not only Motoyasu, but everyone present in the Arena, except Raphtalia who seemed to smile as she realized Yuya's plan.

"W-What do you mean?" Motoyasu nearly stuttered. "What type of Duel Monsters match is there?" He didn't know there was another way of playing Duel Monsters.

"Oh, only the fun kind... for me and this crowd." Yuya said as he drew a Spell Card from his Action Field Spell Zone Deck and raised the card into the air. "I ACTIVATE THE ACTION FIELD SPELL: CROSSOVER CARNIVAL!!!"

"Augmented Reality Combat System, energized. Generating Action Field: Crossover Carnival." A female voice said from both Yuya's and Motoyasu's Duel Disks.

Suddenly, like magic, the entire Arena changed before the eyes of everyone there, the floor that Yuya and Motoyasu stood under became a circus ring with firm sand beneath the two Duelist's feet. The roof of the Arena changed into a large bright Red and White Big Top circus tent. Two pillars appeared behind both Yuya and Motoyasu as a rope appeared between them, becoming a tightrope, floating brightly neon colored rings nearly littered the sky of the tent above the two. Bright and colorful lights shone around and moved through everyone in the audience. A seesaw-like contraption that looked like two hamster wheels at both ends appeared next to them. There was also a trampolines at ground floor with Yuya and Motoyasu and balloons floated above as well as large circus balls.

Many thought that this was just some sort of illusion magic, but when they touched a pillar, felt a spotlight hit their eyes, or moved a balloon out of their way, their hands didn't go through and instead they actually felt it like it was really actually there!

"WHAT SORT OF TRICKERY IS THIS?!" King Aultcray demanded Yuya to answer. His hand slamming down on his throne.

"Fascinating." The Pope said looking at Crossover Carnival with curiosity and fascination.

"None, Your Highness, just some technology from my world that allows us Duelist to have a bit more fun. And even then, you should have asked me what kind of Duel Monsters match that we would be having, instead of just trusting one of your Heroes." Yuya said with a smile. "Besides, I never did tell you what my other profession is, now did I?"

This caught many of the Heroes and their party members and even the King off guard, the Shield Hero has another profession?

"That's right! You see, my dad was the pioneer to a new form of Dueling, one that I follow in his footsteps. And that profession is called, Dueltaining!" Yuya revealed to the audience, as he gives a bow to the crowd. "And I am what's known as a Dueltainer!"

"Duel-taining?" Ren questioned. "What's that?"

"It seems to be a mashup of the words Dueling and Entertaining. But why would he..." Itsuki questioned before he realized why Yuya requested a Duel Monsters match and why Yuya had the most Agility out of all of them. "Oh, no."

"What is it, Sir Itsuki?" Rishia asked what was wrong, she sat next to him.

"I just realized WHY Yuya chose to request this match." Itsuki said, his voice terrified and kinda amazed by Yuya's brilliance.

"Why's that?" Mald asked, still confused by all this.

"Think about it. Yuya is a Dueltainer, and he's also a professional Duelist. Yuya knew that he would never be able to beat Motoyasu with his shield alone in a normal duel, so he decided to request this match." Itsuki tells them as Ren also picks up on what he was saying.

"And because everyone heard everything we said on our first night here, he also knew that the King would never allow this kind of dueling." Ren said understanding where Itsuki was going with this. "And looking at this, I guess this must be one of those Augmented Reality Combat System that Yuya told us the first night here."

"It's incredible to see in person, making something that isn't real, look and feel just as real." Elena said amazed by the ARC system and how realistic it felt.

"But that would mean..." Rojeel said looking back at Yuya and Motoyasu.

"Motoyasu had already lost this match before it began." Rino said.

"We don't know that yet, from what I could see during the first Wave, he had already mastered Synchro summoning." Lesty said glaring at Yuya, the Heroes had told them the summoning methods that Yuya told them.

"But... what summoning method is Sir Yuya a master of?" Rishia questioned.

"That, I do not know. And that scares me." Itsuki said, as Yuya never told them what summoning method Yuya had mastered, he believed Yuya was a master of Xyz Summoning.

"Me as well." Ren calmly said as he guessed Yuya was a master of Fusion Summoning, and he figured that Motoyasu figured that Yuya was a master of Synchro Summoning.

They would just have to wait and see what summoning method master he was.

"It's too late to stop the match now, every noblemen and noblewomen is here and they were wanting to see this match that you allowed, are you that cold-hearted to deny them their requests to see who would win?" Yuya asked, he had control of the crowd's want for dueling and he was enjoying it.

King Aultcray XXXII growled as Raphtalia smiled underneath her gag happy to see Yuya turn the tides in his favor while playing to theirs.

"Fine! I'll allow this!" King Aultcray gave in and accepted this Action Duel.

"Good." Yuya said with a nod and a smile, he then looked to Motoyasu. "Hey! Motoyasu! Let's try and rile up this crowd, huh?" He asked with a grin.

"Why would ever I do that with YOU." Motoyasu glared spears into Yuya's eyes.

"Fine, don't then, guess I'll get this crowd riled up all on my own." Yuya said as he placed his goggles over his eyes and then snapped his fingers twice.

Suddenly, the spotlights from above went out, terrifying many of the audience members who were secretly afraid of the dark and surprising many others as well. Then, A single spotlight shone on Yuya alone.

"Two Duelist locked in battle!" Yuya started his Duel Chant.

"Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" Yuya chanted with smile.

"They storm through this field!" Yuya chanted with joy.

"BEHOLD! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling!" Yuya chanted with glee.

"ACTION!!!" Yuya shouted as he was nearing the end of his chant.

Yuya and Motoyasu's Duel Disk then activated on their own at the same time.

"...DUEL!!!"

Yuya then snapped his fingers. As a ball of cards with the letter "A" on the back of them appeared high above in the air out of nowhere.

"Action Cards, dispersed." The ball of Action Cards then exploded and the cards scattered themselves across the area.

The audience didn't know why, but they all suddenly felt pumped up and excited after Yuya's Duel chant, like they were about to watch the greatest and funnest duel of their lives.

"I'll let you go first." Yuya tells Motoyasu, allowing the Spear Hero to go first.

"Alright then." Motoyasu said as he drew the first 5 cards in his deck. "But you giving me this first turn will be your first mistake."

Hologram-like screens appeared next to both Motoyasu and Yuya, showing that both Duelists had 4000 life points each.

Turn 1: Motoyasu

Motoyasu: 4000 LP vs Yuya: 4000 LP

Motoyasu's Hand: 5 vs Yuya's Hand: 5

Motoyasu looked at his hand, trying to think of a strategy to beat Yuya before he could beat him.

"If I control no monsters I can Special Summon this monster from my hand! So spin on in, Speedroid Terrortop!" Motoyasu said as he placed the monster on his Duel Disk.

Flying in from out of nowhere in the audience, was a series of 13 red tops with yellow spinning ends on both the top and bottom. They all lined themselves up as electricity held them together. The lead top has two blades sticking out from the sides like pincers of an insect. They moved in a serpentine pattern as the tops spun around.

Level 3/ WIND/ Machine/ Effect

"I activate it's effect from my hand and add another "Speedroid" monster from my Deck to my hand." Motoyasu said. "And I choose to add Speedroid Double Yoyo to my hand." He said drawing the card of his choosing, his Deck then reshuffled itself again.

"And then I place a monster face down." Motoyasu said as he placed a monster face-down DEF position on the field.

"Battle! Terrortop attack Yuya directly!" Motoyasu commanded Terrortop to attack Yuya, but the Top monsters just looked back at Yuya and the leading top tilted itself to the side in a way of showing confusion.

"What's wrong? I said attack Yuya directly!" Motoyasu angrily shouted, angrily confused on why Terrortop won't attack.

Even the audience was confused as well, first of all they were watching them duel with cards. Two, The Spear Hero had summoned a monster out of no where when he placed the card on that Duel Disk. And three, said Monster wasn't listening to his words and attacking the Shield Hero.

Yuya decided it was time to remind him of the rules.

"It seems that you have forgotten that the Duelist who goes first, isn't allowed to enter the Battle Phase until their next turn." Yuya chuckled at Motoyasu. "While the 2nd Duelist can do so easily."

"Grrr." Motoyasu growled as he now knows that Yuya knew he couldn't attack first. "Then I will set a card face down and end my turn." Motoyasu said as he placed a face-down card behind Terrortop, a giant face down card appeared behind Terrortop before vanishing.

"Good, My turn then. I DRAW!" Yuya shouted as he drew his next card.

Turn 2: Yuya

Motoyasu: 4000 LP vs Yuya: 4000 LP

Motoyasu's Hand: 3 vs Yuya's hand: 6

Yuya looked at the current cards in his hand, he had drew another Pendulum Monster, and in his hand he has 2 Normal monsters, a Pendulum Monster, 1 Spell Card and 1 Trap Card. He smiled as he looked at them.

"For my first performance, I'll summon Performapal Friendonkey!" Yuya said with a smile as he summoned his monster onto the field.

Appearing in a puff of smoke and confetti, was a pale blue and white donkey, wearing a mint bowtie with pink dots a cutely tiny top hat with a red ribbon. On it's back was a saddle with reins that was strapped around his muzzle. On it's saddle was two pink boxes with a yellow star on them. It wore a smile on it's face but while it's smile were friendly, it's eyes were deadpanning.

"Friendonkey activates its effect!" Yuya said with a joyous smile. "I can Special Summon a "Performapal" monster from my hand or Graveyard the turn he's Normal Summoned. So ring on in, Performapal Longphone Bull!" He said.

The pink box with a yellow star opened up on Friendonkey's saddle opened up as a ball of light shot up and landed next to it.

Appearing next to Friendonkey, in a puff of smoke and confetti, was a navy blue longhorn bull with magenta hooves. On it's head was 4 magenta horns that held up a telephone which acted as it's horns. It has a pink stat on it's left cheek under it's orange eye. It wore around it's neck a black bowtie with purple dots a mahogany vest on top of a white body suit. It's tail was a cord and plug and around it's muscular biceps was an orange copper bands. On it's left shoulder was a yellow star.

"And Longphone Bull's effect activates! If he was Special Summoned this turn, I can add a "Performapal" monster from my Deck to my hand." Yuya said revealing his next's monster's effect.

"And I choose to dial Performapal Partnaga! Call your buddy to me, Longphone Bull!" Yuya tells Longphone Bull to call Partnaga.

Suddenly, the telephone horns of Longphone Bull suddenly cartoonishly rang let out a "Ring Ring Ring" from the ends for everyone to hear, making some of the nobles in the crowd to chuckle at the scene.

A card then popped out of Yuya's Deck as he pulled it out and added it to his hand, his Deck then reshuffled itself after he pulled the card out.

"BATTLE!" Yuya announced. "Longphone Bull attack that Face-Down card!" Yuya said pointing at Motoyasu's face down monster.

Longphone Bull jumped towards the face down card in a single leap, the longhorn bull/telephone hybrid then slammed down onto the face down card, which then flipped itself face up to reveal the monster to the audience.

The Monster looked to be a robotic cross between a blue Daruma Doll and a Mandrill, but it's Mandrill face's color was swapped, to where it has a red skin and a blue nose. It was sitting in a position that looked like a Speak No Evil Monkey statue. It's entire body was decorated with gold and black accents, mainly it's arms and face. It eyes were yellow and wide with red iris.

Level 3/ WIND/ Machine/ Effect

As Longphone Bull approach Darumandrill running at the Speedroid monster with an arm raised ready to strike. A blue forcefield appeared in front of both Darumandrill and Longphone Bull, protecting them both as neither Monster was destroyed.

"What do you think of my Speedroid Darumandrill, Yuya?" Motoyasu asked with a snarky tone.

"I think it won't be staying here for long." Yuya said, he then turned to his Performapal Friendonkey. "Attack Darumandrill, Friendonkey!" This action confused many of the crowd and Motoyasu.

Friendonkey ran towards Darumandrill, it's speed causing a cartoonishly large amount of smoke to appear behind it as it ran towards the monster.

"But that will result the same way as Longphone Bull attack, why would Sir Yuya do that?" Itsuki's Rouge-like Mage, Welst, questioned why Yuya's Friendonkey would attack Motoyasu's Darumandrill again.

Suddenly and out of no where, Yuya suddenly ran towards one of the Trampolines.

"Running away, Yuya? I knew you were a coward." Motoyasu taunted Yuya for running away.

"Who ever said anything about me running 'away', huh?" Yuya asked Motoyasu as he kept his path on the Trampoline. Once he reached the trampoline, he jumped into the air, landed on the trampoline, and bounced up high into the air, his height reaching past the tightrope.

Once Yuya was high up enough, he looked around and spotted what he was looking for: an Action Card. It was located inside one of the floating balloons.

'Please be a good one.' Yuya mentally prayed as he landed gracefully on the tightrope and made his way to the Action Card.

"What is he doing?" Ren wondered, he was actually starting to like this show from Yuya, everyone watched as Yuya balanced himself along the tightrope, some were biting their fingernails in fear at the Shield Hero nearly falling.

"Hey, Motoyasu! I'll show you another thing that makes Action Duels different from regular Duels." Yuya shouted to Motoyasu from above as he neared the Action Card.

Once he was in grabbing range, he grabbed the balloon, which popped after he grabbed it, as Yuya the snatches the Action Card that was inside the balloon.

"I activate the Action Spell-Flame Surge!" Yuya shouted as he placed the Action Card into his Spell/Trap Zone. "I can target one monster on the field and it gains 400 ATK until the end of my turn."

The Spell Card revealed a bright colored and it showed a cartoony surge of fire rising up.

Target 1 monster you control; it gains 400 ATK until the end of this turn. Also, this turn, each time it destroys a Defense Position monster by battle: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's DEF.

"Action Spell?" Everyone in the Arena asked, but the Pope who looked on with curiosity, as they all wondered what that was.

"You see, in an Action Duel, there are these type of cards known as Action Cards that are scattered about the Field that could help either one of us." Yuya explained to his audience. "And you can only have ONE Action Card in your hand!"

"So that's why he wanted Friendonkey to attack Darumandrill again. Because Yuya knew about Action Cards!" Itsuki said amazed by Yuya's brilliance and trickery.

"So in an Action Duel, duelist can move around the Field to collect these Action Cards to help themselves. I can see why Yuya is a Dueltainer, it looks like a fun job." Ren said with a smirk.

A pillar of orange light appeared going upwards underneath Friendonkey as it's ATK strength increased as it kept running towards Speedroid Darumandrill.

Friendonkey then rushed towards Darumandrill, turned around and kicked the DEF position monster with a powerful donkey kick. The monster turned into dust after the attack, sending it to the Graveyard.

"And Flame Surge's 2nd effect activates. When that monster destroys a Defense position monster, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's DEF." Yuya revealed Flame Surge 2nd effect.

Suddenly, Motoyasu was engulfed in a burst of flame.

Motoyasu's LP: 4000 - 1600 = 2400 LP

"I set two cards face down, my turn's over." Yuya said. "The effect of Flame Surge ends and Friendonkey's ATK returns back to normal."

A purple light appeared above Friendonkey going downwards as the donkey's ATK strength returned back to normal.

Many were shocked and surprised to see that the Shield Hero had managed to take nearly half of the Spear Hero's Life Points in a single move.

"It can't be." A Female Spectator said.

"At this rate, the Shield Hero might win." A Spectator said.

"Yuya and his Monsters have the upper hand." Itsuki said.

"Hm." Ren agreed.

Yuya looked around and he saw that no one was cheering or smiling. All he saw was judging looks aimed right at him.

"Does that lowly Shield Hero think he can win against the Spear Hero?" A Noblewoman asked, she must have netted on the Spear Hero to win.

"Have you no respect for the sanctity of a duel?!" Another Spectator shouted appalled by Yuya's dueling.

"Of course I do!" Yuya shouted, confusing many. "But this is my way of dueling, not yours, so while it may seem I'm not honoring your traditions, it's because this is not yours to begin with! This way of dueling belongs to everyone, young or old, rich or poor!"

Yuya then turned towards Motoyasu with a confident look on his face.

"You can give up now and admit defeat, Motoyasu." Yuya said giving Motoyasu the chance for defeat.

"And why would I ever surrender now?" Motoyasu asked with a glare at Yuya. "My turn! I draw!" Motoyasu said as he drew his next card from his deck.

Turn 3: Motoyasu

Motoyasu: 2400 LP vs Yuya: 4000 LP

Motoyasu's Hand: 4 vs Yuya's hand: 3

"First, I'll summon Speedroid Double Yoyo!" Motoyasu said as he placed his monster on the field.

Appearing before the audience was three objects, the first one looked like some sort of knight's helmet with 3 holes at the front, with the middle hole being lower than the two other holes with two spiky gold bracelets at it's sides. At it's sides, were two large green Yo-yo-like objects that had a curved blades down the middle of the Yo-Yo's. If one was to look closely, they could see that it was attached to some bolts of lightning.

Level 4/ WIND/ Machine/ Effect

"Then I activate it's effect. When it's Normal Summoned, I can target one Level 3 or lower "Speedroid" Monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it." Motoyasu said. "Oh, and would you look at that! Their seems to be only one "Speedroid" Monster in there." He said with a smile.

"Come back out, Speedroid Darumandrill!" Motoyasu announced as Double Yoyo suddenly flung it's two yo-yo's out, which were attached to lightning bolts, into the ground and pulled Darumandrill out from the ground. The Mandrill Daruma doll then went into DEF position.

"I then activate Speedroid Darumandrill's effect! Once per turn, I can switch the Battle position of Darumandrill." Motoyasu said. "And when I do, it's ATK and DEF stats are swapped as well." He revealed.

Suddenly, the blue metallic shell of Speedroid Darumandrill changed to a shiny Ferrari red color as it stood up like an Mandrill, but it covered it's eyes with it's hand, reminiscent of a See No Evil Monkey statue. It bared it's fang out. It's face and nose also swapped colors, now it's face was blue and it's nose was red.

"I then Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Speedroid CarTurbo from my hand!" Motoyasu said as he placed his Tuner monster.

Appearing was what looked to be a Portuguese Karuta card with a Car Motor in the middle. In the middle on top of the motor, was a blue square with two lightning bolts. Underneath you can see an exhaust pipe sticking out.

Level 3/ WIND/ Machine/ Tuner/ Effect

"Then I'll tune my Level 3 CarTurbo with my Level 3 Speedroid Terrortop and Level 4 Double Yoyo!" Motoyasu exclaimed. As soon as he said that, Double Yoyo, Terrortop, and CarTurbo flew up into the air.

"I create the giant of Endless Imagination! This monster of mine will surely build up your defeat!" Motoyasu chanted as he pointed a finger up at Yuya.

"I Synchro Summon!" Motoyasu announced.

Suddenly, two rings appeared, one white and the other red, appeared before turning into balls of light and merging with one another. Seven blue rings stacked in a tower formation appeared, and a screen displaying "3 plus 3 plus 4" appeared in front of everyone. The screen then changed to a "10" as a beam of light surged through the rings.

"Build into battle! Level 10, Hi-Speedroid Legolem!"

Suddenly, a multitude of building bricks in different shapes, sizes, colors, and design appeared in front Motoyasu as they then all started to somehow come together and started to build on top of one another creating a gigantic structure out of themselves. After they formed together, appearing in front of the entire audience, was a giant golem made of colorful building bricks, it had a huge rectangular prism nose and blue cubed eyes, it had a large underbite and you could see it's cubed and sloped brick teeth. It's forearms and hands were bigger than it's biceps or it's body combined. The way it stood, reminded Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, Ren, Itsuki, and Motoyasu of an upright gorilla.

"That's new." Yugo whimpered with wide frightened eyes and a shaky finger pointing at the Giant made of plastic bricks.

"I then activate Legolem's effect. When I Synchro Summon Legolem, I can Special Summon two "Speedroid Legolem Token" to the field in Face-Up DEF position." Motoyasu said as two grey colored cards appeared on his side of the field one next to Legolem, the other next to Darumandrill.

The Legolem Token's looked like a smaller, more simpler version of Legolem, and seemed to made out of bigger bricks than Legolem, like they were made for babies or younger children to play with.

Level 1/ WIND/ Machine/ Token

"BATTLE! Legolem, Attack his Longphone Bull! Brick Breaker!" Motoyasu commanded his Golem made of Bricks to attack.

Legolem let out a earth-shaking rumble, as it started to raise up one of it's legs and started moving towards the circus longhorn bull with a telephone for horns.

"That will deal 1200 Damage to us if it hits!" Yugo shouted with fear about how much damage that will deal to Yuya.

'I know, that's why I got to find another Action Card.' Yuya mentally tells Yugo, he then quickly jumped on the tightrope, before launching himself in the air towards the floating neon rings.

Yuya quickly made his way across the rings with trapeze-levels of acrobats his stunts wowing and amazing many of the audience below him.

But Legolem had already reached Yuya's Longphone Bull, as it raised an arm and brought it down on Yuya's Monster, creating a massive cloud of dust.

"That Bull is no more! Ha Ha Ha!" Motoyasu laughed at defeating Longphone Bull.

But when the dust cleared, it was revealed that Longphone Bull was still on the Field, like it hadn't just taken an attack by the Golem made of plastic bricks.

"Huh?! How is it still on the Field?! I destroyed it!" Motoyasu wanted answers as he gritted his teeth.

Motoyasu then heard the sound of Yuya laughing as the Dueltainer was falling from the sky and had landed safely on the ground next to his Circus Donkey and Circus Longhorn Bull. He held a smile on his face.

"I had activated the Action Spell-Miracle just before Legolem attacked Longphone Bull! This card allows one of my Monster to not be destroyed by battle, and any damage I do take, is halved." Yuya revealed how Longphone Bull survived the attack.

Yuya's LP: 4000 - 1200/2 = 3400 LP

The Action Spell showed a cartoony man with a smile on it's face landing a miraculous stunt with stars above him.

"You can't take me out that easily." Yuya said with a grin. "I said I was going to bring Raphtalia back to me, and I mean it!" He glared at Motoyasu.

Yuya then heard Motoyasu give off a chuckle.

"Well then, guess that means I'll have to get more serious then." Motoyasu said with a chuckle.

"I activate Legolem's 2nd effect. I can destroy 1 Legolem Token on my field and Legolem can attack again." Motoyasu revealed Legolem's 2nd Effect. "Master Smasher!" He shouted with an open palm at his Hi-Speedroid Legolem.

Suddenly, Legolem slowly started to turn around and looked at one of the two Legolem Tokens, mainly the one next to Darumandrill, before it launched it's right arm out at the one that stood next to Darumandrill and destroyed it with one strike.

"Attack Longphone Bull once again!" Motoyasu commanded his Legolem.

Legolem let out another rumble and walked over to Longphone Bull, it raised it's arm into the air before swiftly bringing it down onto the opposing monster.

When Legolem lifted it's fist, it showed Longphone Bull with cartoonishly dizzy eyes and being as flat as a pancake.

"Moooo..." Longphone Bull let out a dizzying moo before it turned to yellow dust.

A pressure of wind blasted towards Yuya as he blocked himself with his arms covering his face.

Yuya's LP: 3400 - 1200 = 2200 LP

"I then activate Legolem's 3rd Effect, when it destroys a monster, I can shuffle my entire hand into my Deck and draw 5 cards." Motoyasu said as he shuffled his cards into his Deck and drew 5 new cards.

"Well if you're activating an effect so am I! I activate the Quick-Play Spell! ILLUSION BALLOONS!" Yuya said as he activated his Spell Card.

The Spell Card revealed a Circus with 5 balloons of different colors with the Performapal Star on three of them, a heart on a yellow one and light blue one.

If a monster(s) was destroyed during this turn, while you controlled it: Excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, then you can Special Summon 1 excavated "Performapal" monster, also shuffle the rest back into your Deck.

Suddenly, 5 Balloons like the one in Illusion Balloons floated down from high above.

"Since you destroyed a monster I controlled this turn, I can look at the top 5 cards in my Deck and Special Summon one "Performapal" monster to my field, and reshuffle the rest back into my Deck." Yuya explained the Deck.

This made many widen their eyes in shock.

"So your just relying on the top of your Deck and luck to help you now?" Motoyasu asked, eyes wide at what he heard, it was all just luck on Yuya's Deck now if he had a strong monster, and even then he could only Special Summon one.

"I know! That's the best part!" Yuya said with a wide and happy grin. This confused many of the audience member's but they still were excited.

"This is the main purpose of my job, Motoyasu. Making people smile, no matter how bad the odds are in my favor. I'm happy to see everyone enjoying themselves right now." Yuya tells Motoyasu as he looks around the Arena at the crowd of people who are smiling.

"And I'll make sure everyone here is having fun as I am!" Yuya tells them all with a confident grin and look. This declaration suprised everyone present, and Raphtalia smiled throughout it all as she tried to escape.

"First Draw!" Yuya shouted as he pointed at the red balloon with the orange and yellow star and top hat.

The balloon popped as a explosion of smoke and confetti appeared, the first card revealed itself. Which was the Spell Card, Performapal Recasting. A Buzz was heard.

"Oops, that's not what I wanted." Yuya sweatdropped and pouted, he then returned with his smile.

"Second Draw!" Yuya shouted as he pointed at the light blue balloon with pink hearts, which popped as the second card revealed itself the the crowd. It was, Performapal Hip Hippo. A Ding was heard.

"It's Performapal Hip Hippo! Nice to see you buddy, but we're not done yet, we still got 3 more left!" Yuya said with a smile as the crowd slowly starting to get excited, even the two Heroes are excited to see what will be next.

"Third Draw!" Now it wasn't only Yuya, it was nearly everyone in the audience who made bets on him to win, except for King Aultcray, the King's Advisors, Myne, Motoyasu, and Raphtalia (the latter for obvious reason, but she still tried to join in).

Yuya pointed at a Purple Balloon with a Pink and Magenta Star. The Balloon popped and revealed the third card. It was the Trap Card, Performapal Revival. A Buzz was heard.

"Uh-Oh, that's not a monster, but it could have helped me brought back Longphone Bull from the Graveyard or a new Monster from my hand though." Yuya tells the audience the effect of the Trap Card.

"But worry not, my fans! We still have 2 more chances, let's see what's behind door number 4!" Yuya shouted with a smile.

"Fourth Draw!" Yuya shouted as he point at a Yellow Balloon with blue hearts. It popped and revealed the fourth card. It was another Spell Card, this one being Performapal PopperUp. A Buzz was heard.

"Oh no! This isn't looking good folks! I have only 1 "Performapal" Monster and it isn't strong or helpful to me." Yuya said with a worried tone, even the audience looked at the last Balloon in worry, wondering what was inside it.

"This is it folks! If it's a Monster, I can Special Summon it! But if it isn't, then I can only Special Summon Hip Hippo to my Field!" Yuya tells the audience, drawing them with his tone making them wonder if the Shield Hero will be able to summon a stronger monster.

"Here it comes, everybody! FINAL... DRAW!!!!" Yuya shouted as he pointed at the last Balloon left on the field. It was a green balloon that had hands on the side and a purple star in the middle, it popped and revealed the Fifth and Last Card to the crowd. Inside, it was a Monster Card with a Spell Cards colors at the bottom, but they didn't worry about it now, they were too excited at the Shield Hero getting a what they thought was a stronger monster, and judging by his smile it was. A Ding was heard.

"IT'S PERFORMAPAL ODD-EYES DRAGON DANCER!!!" Yuya shouted with a grin. "And you know what that means, folks! I Special Summon Performapal Odd-Eyes Dragon Dancer!"

The card then exploded in a puff of colorful smoke and confetti. Appearing before the audience, was a woman that wore a dress that looked like a Arabian Belly Dancer. She has tan-ish brown skin with a red right eye and green left eye, she had two small-to-medium sized horns on her head that looked like a familiar Pendulum Dragon. Her clothes, as mentioned before looked like a Arabian Belly dancer it was colored in bright red, beige white, and gold colors. She wore a golden mask that covered the right side of her face. Her hair was tied in a puffy ponytail style and was a red, green, and blue color that look to sparkle. Her teeth, when looked closely are sharp like a certain odd-eyes dragon. She also has a armored red tail coming out from above her butt. She has a blue star located in the middle of her belly.

Nearly everyone was curious about the Pendulum part, but everyone also didn't seem to care about that at the moment, as they were all just too excited about the show. Motoyasu didn't seem to care as he was just looking at Dragon Dancer like a delicious piece of meat.

"Dragon Dancer activates her effect! If I Normal or Special Summoned Dragon Dancer, then I can add one Dragon-Type "Odd-Eyes" or "Performapal" monster from my Deck to my hand!" Yuya tells everyone Dragon Dancer's effect. "And I choose my Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! So call my dragon to my hand, Dragon Dancer! Dance of the Dragon!"

Dragon Dancer started to dance her movements were as fluid as water and as swift as the wind itself. Her Dance reminded people of a Dragon's movement.

His Ace Dragon that he selected, was then added to his hand from his Deck as it then reshuffled itself twice, the first after Dragon Dancer's effect and the second after Illusion Balloons effect.

Dragon Dancer then finished her dance with a bow. Her dancing had amazed nearly everyone, and made many of the noblewomen question their sexuality.

"I cannot attack such a beautiful lady, so I will end my turn." Motoyasu said causing Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, Ren, and Itsuki to all sweatdrop at the same time.

Performapal Odd-Eyes Dragon Dancer just glared her red and green eyes at Motoyasu and let out a draconic growl at the perverted Spear Hero.

"Oooookay... My turn! I Draw!" Yuya shouted as he drew his next card.

Turn 4: Yuya

Yuya then grinned as he looked at his hand. Yugo looked at him and smiled while Yuto looked at the hand with caution.

"Now hold on, Yuya." Yuto voice spoke out.

'What is it, Yuto?' Yuya mentally asked.

"I know that winning this duel is important, but I think it's best to not Pendulum Summon at all unless we really need it." Yuto answered.

'I understand that, but at the moment, I need it if I ever stand a chance of winning this.' Yuya mentally replied. 'Sometimes, you have to take risks when needed.'

''He's right! You know how many risks and gambles I've made, hoping that it would help me win?'' Yugo asked Yuto.

"Look, Yuto, I get it that you're very cautious and want to take the safe and smart way out, but there are times when it isn't enough, and you might have to take the dangerous and dumb way instead." Yugo mentioned.

"If anyone's an expert of doing things dumb and dangerous, it's Yugo." Yuri's voice remarked from next to Myne.

"IT'S YUG-Oh, wait, you said my name right that time." Yugo said surprised that Yuri said his name right.

"Don't get use to it." Yuri said with an index finger raised.

''I'm just saying that you're right, but hilariously." Yuri replied. "If you recall Yuto, it's because of Yuya taking the risk of using his Dueltaining skills to reach the hearts of Duel Academy for them to see the error of their ways."

"But what about keeping ourselves hidden from the enemy?" Yuto asked. "Especially this place and what it has done to us?"

"Knowing them, they would have probably known about it sooner or later from us at some point." Yuri answered. "Remember that someone told the King that rumor about us not knowing this world and how it operates?"

"They just don't want to come out to make a scene, so they can still have the element of surprise!" Yugo added now understandiing what their saying.

'Which means if we want to drive them out of hiding, we need to attract more attention to ourselves.' Yuya said. 'And the best way to do that is by Pendulum Summoning, Yuto.'

Yuto was silent for a short while before responding. "Alright, if you guys insist, then let's do it!" He exclaimed with a grin.

Yuya smiles at him, and his other counterparts responding determine. ''Right!''

"Are you going to make your move?" Motoyasu asked after having regained his attention but still took peeks at Dragon Dancer.

"I will, but first, You remember the Extra Deck Summoning methods I told you, Ren, and Itsuki on our first night here?" Yuya asked out of nowhere, this confused the 3 other Heroes and the audience.

"Of course I do, that was the day I had respect for you." Motoyasu glared at Yuya. He also wondered why Yuya wanted to talk about that.

"Why are you asking? Are you about to tell the crowd what you're Extra Deck Summoning Method is that you have mastered?" He asked.

"You could say that. But tell me and the audience, what are the Extra Deck Summoning methods?" Yuya asked Motoyasu to tell the audience what the Extra Deck methods were.

"Well there's Fusion Summoning which Ren uses, Synchro Summoning used by yours truly, and finally there is Xyz Summoning that Itsuki uses." Motoyasu explained to Yuya and the Audience with a grin.

"You did good, but you forgot one~." Yuya says in a taunting singing tone. This surprised Motoyasu, Ren, Itsuki, Myne, and King Aultcray and confused the audience.

"W-What do you mean? You told us that there were 3 Extra Deck Summoning methods." Motoyasu stuttered shocked and confused by this revelation.

"I did, but I wanted the 4th one to be a surprise, but after what happened to me on the 3rd day, I guess I just forgot." Yuya tells them, the last one was definitely sarcastic.

"I told you before that my dad was the pioneer to Dueltaining. Well, I am also a pioneer as well. A Pioneer for Pendulum Summoning!" Yuya said with a smile.

"Pendulum..." Ren started.

"Summoning?" Itsuki finished.

"What is Pendulum Summoning?" Motoyasu asked, confused and slightly worried.

"Let me show you!" Yuya said with a smile.

'It's Showtime!' Yuya mentally said as he gave a smile.

Yuya then snapped his fingers as the lights went out once again. But this time, everything was shrouded in darkness.

"What the-? What's going on here?" Motoyasu asked.

Suddenly, a pair of spotlights began to dance upon the oddly unlit area before landing on none other than Yuya Sakaki, the Duelist Shield Hero.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!!!" He loudly declared. "Now then, everyone, if I may have your attention please, I'm about to show you all something so amazing, something so incredible, something so spectacular, that will surely shock you!"

Yuya then revealed two Pendulum Monsters, the first was the Magician of Space, and the other was a Unicorn with Odd-Eyes, they both had the Monster and Spell Card colors on them.

"So what if you got two monsters in your hand? By the looks of them you could only Summon one monster that isn't strong enough and even if you do, my Speedroid Legolem Token will deal you 300 damage if you Normal Summoned or Set that card and the other has to be Tribute Summoned. Face it Yuya! You lost!" Motoyasu said with a grin. "They aren't strong enough to take down my Monsters!"

"Who ever said that I was going to use them on your monsters?" Yuya rhetorically asked, confusing everyone but Raphtalia.

"I don't get it. What other use could those two monsters have?" Motoyasu asked confused.

"How about I show you?!" Yuya said as he held up Stargazer Magician and the Unicorn with Odd-Eyes in his hand into the air. "I'll use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn to set the Pendulum Scale! I'm taking control of this duel starting NOW!"

Yuya then placed his two Pendulum Monsters near the edges of the Monster Zones on his Duel Disk. Upon placing them, the words appeared reading in rainbow colors: "P-E-N-D-U-L-U-M", appeared on his Duel Disk, as two pillars of light then shone down in between and behind Yuya. High above and in between the two pillar of lights, a gigantic version of Yuya's Crystal Pendant swung back and forth like a pendulum before it slowly started to swing in circles.

Appearing in the two pillars of light, inside them it contained Stargazer Magician and another monster. Underneath Stargazer Magician was the number "1" that appeared.

To Yuya's left and inside the Pillar of Light, was a mint fur colored Unicorn with a pale blue underbelly. It has a pink mane and tail, blue hooves, and a star on it's left cheek underneath it's eye, it's eyes were red on the right and green on the left. It wore a blue and light blue open vest and around it's neck was an orange bowtie with yellow dots. The number "8" appeared underneath it.

"What is going on?" Rishia asked in awe at the new summoning method that Yuya has now revealed out of no where.

"I-I don't know." Itsuki said with awe, he, Ren, and somehow nobody else, hadn't noticed that the Sword and Bow Heroes Decks were now glowing along with the Spear Hero's Deck.

"I can summon monsters between Levels 2 through 7 all at the same time!" Yuya explained as the pendant above him swung faster and faster.

"Swing far Pendulum! Carve the arc of Victory! My Monsters are ready..." Yuya shouted as the Pendant swung between Stargazer and Odd-Eyes Unicorn before it started to swing in circles.

Yuya then trusted an open palmed hand and arm into the air.

"...TO SWING INTO ACTION!"

A portal formed as the pendulum swung in a circle, and from it, three lights shined down onto Yuya's field, revealing monsters. Two monsters appeared in a puff of smoke and confetti. Whilst the last one, was shrouded in smoke and dust.

The first to appear in a puff of smoke and confetti, was the red and yellow-stripped snake with a gloved hand rattle. A blue aura surrounded it.

"Lend a helping hand, Performapal Partnaga!"

The second Monster to appear in a puff of smoke and confetti, was a light green scaled Japanese Dragon with dark green fur at the neck and back, the tip of it's tail was olive green on the inside and green on the outside. It has two orange antlers. On it's forehead was a large gold koban coin with a blue star. It has an orange star on it's left cheek under it's eye. It wore a blue vest with a pinkish-red bowtie with pinkish-white dots.

"Ka-Ching and do your thing, Performapal Coin Dragon!"

The Dragon with Red and Green eyes flashed for a brief moment before the Dragon revealed itself and let out a mighty roar. Yuya hopped on the back of his Ace Dragon.

Everyone in the Arena was shocked, even King Aultcray eyes were widen in shock, The Shield Hero was somehow able to reveal a new Summoning method and summon 3 monsters at the same time, with one of them being a high level Dragon. Motoyasu was caught off guard and surprised by this as well.

"Summoning multiple monsters at once! T-This has to be illegal!" Motoyasu shouted with shock. "No way could you have created a new Summoning Method that's legal!"

"Sir Motoyasu is right! The Shield Hero must have tampered with his Duel Disk before the match!" Myne said wanting to get Yuya disqualified somehow. "As such, he should be disqualified!"

That's when Yuya decided to rain on Myne's Parade.

"Nope, Sorry, I did no such thing! Couldn't do so with the prep time given to me, before or after! And even If I did, the Duel Disk would have immediately disqualified me the instant I would have placed my Pendulum Scales and locked me out, not after." Yuya said with a grin as he looked at Myne. "So Pendulum Summoning is completely legal."

This shocked Myne greatly, her chance to get the Shield Hero disqualified for this out of nowhere Summoning Method had just backfired on her immensely.

"Now then, Coin Dragon activates his effect!" Yuya announced as Coin Dragon let out a happy roar. "Other Dragon-Type monsters I control gain 500 ATK! And they can't be destroyed by card effects."

Coin Dragon then started to do a little dance in mid-air, which made the noblewomen coo at how cute the little dragon's dance was to watch.

[Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon]

"Then Partnaga's effect activates! If he was Normal or Special Summon, I can target one Monster I control and it gains 300 ATK for each "Performapal" monster I control, but Level 5 and lower cannot attack." Yuya said. "I have four "Performapal" monsters, so that equals up to a 1200 ATK bonus!"

Partnaga stretched it's entire body out and wrapped it's head and body around Dragon Dancer arm, Coin Dragon body, and Friendonkey torso. It then used it's Gloved Hand and latched onto Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's tail.

"BATTLE!" Yuya shouted as he then hopped on the back of his Dragon. "Odd-Eyes attack Legolem! Spiral Flame Strike!" He shouted.

His Dragon roared as it went for the attack on Legolem a ball started to form in it's jaws.

"But you would only deal me 1400 damage?" Motoyasu said. "And if you do attack me, you'll have to end your turn because of Partnaga's effect making it so that your other Monsters can't attack, not like they could." He said, but muttered that last part.

"Yeah, but Odd-Eyes has an effect that when it attacks a monster, it deals double the battle damage!" Yuya revealed Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's effect.

This surprised many who heard, a Dragon that could deal twice it's original damage when it attacks a monster, that was very powerful in their eyes.

'That's will deal me 2800 points of damage to me!' Motoyasu realized. He then quickly looked around trying to find an Action Card that would help him.

Myne also looked around and noticed an Action Card right in front of her. Thinking quickly, she made herself look like she strapping her boots and picked up the card, reading it's effect she then pulled out her wand and used wind magic and blew it towards Motoyasu.

"Look out Yuya, Myne just handed Motoyasu an Action Card." Yuri informs the Pendulum Duelist. "And it seems she has magic."

"Thanks, Yuri." Yuya thanked the Fusion Duelist.

As Motoyasu was frantically looking around for a Action Spell, he was hit in the face by a card that then landed in his hand. Looking at it, he smiled.

"I activate the Action Spell-Evasion!"Motoyasu shouted as he placed the card into his Spell/Trap Zone.

The Action Spell showed a man dodging a large rolling ball coming towards him.

"With it! I target your Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and negate it's attack!" Motoyasu explained it's effect.

"Stargazer Magician activates his Pendulum Effect!" Yuya announced.

"Pendulum Effect?" Motoyasu asked, confused.

"That's right! In addition to their normal effects, Pendulum Monsters also have Pendulum Effects, which can only be activated when a Pendulum Monster is placed in a Pendulum Zone!" Yuya explained. "And Stargazer's effect is that when a Pendulum Monster I control attacks or is attacked, you cannot activate any Spell Cards until the end of the Damage Phase!"

Stargazer Magician then raised it's staff into the air as constellations appeared surrounding the Magician of the Stars.

The Action Spell on the field in front of Motoyasu then flipped itself downwards as a large red X appeared on top of the Action Card.

"Damnit!" Motoyasu cursed, he then remembered the Card he placed on his first turn. "Then I activate the Trap Card, Speed Turn!"

The Trap Card appeared and flipped itself up revealing a Boomerang-like rocket returning back.

If you control a "Speedroid" monster: Target one face-up Attack Position monster on the field; change it to Defense Position, and if you do, it loses 500 DEF.

"If I control a "Speedroid" monster, I can swap the Battle Position of a face-up monster on the field, and I target my Hi-Speedroid Legolem." Motoyasu said as Legolem moved it's arms in-front of it's face. A Blue aura surrounded it. A purple light appeared above and going downwards on Legolem.

"Unfortunately for me, when I do so, Legolem loses 500 DEF." Motoyasu revealed the downside of the effect. "But it's worth it to not take any damage, your not going to take me down that easily."

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon attacked landed on Legolem, but due to it being in Defense position, Motoyasu wasn't dealt any damage. But Legolem was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard due to Odd-Eyes having the higher ATK stat than it's DEF stat.

"I end my turn." Yuya said as he ended his turn.

"My turn! I draw!" Motoyasu smirked as he drew his next card.

He then looked at the card he drew and was shocked and surprised.

'What the-I never added this card to my Deck?' Motoyasu thought, confused on how this card was added to his Deck, It was a Pendulum Monster.

Motoyasu was confused on how there was a Pendulum Monster in his Deck when he has never heard of them until now. The Red Orb of his Spear, as well as the Blue Orb of Ren's Sword and the Yellow Orb of Itsuki's Bow gave a feint glow.

'I'll have to look at my Deck afterwards.' Motoyasu thought to himself, but he was still confused as to how their was a Pendulum Monster in his Deck.

"I activate the Spell Card, Speedroid Scratch from my hand!" Motoyasu said activating the Spell Card in his hand.

The Spell Card showed a gloved hand scratching out a lottery ticket with a coin. The Ticket had the words "SR" on the top right of the ticket.

"I send the Speedroid Dupligate Trap Card to the Graveyard and add Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice to my hand." Motoyasu said as he adds the selected monster to his hand.

"I then Normal Summon Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice to the field." Motoyasu announced as he placed the card onto the field.

Appearing, was a midnight blue four-sided pyramid dice. It's edges were pained gold and it had three painted red eyes. Orbiting around the monster, was 3 orbs surrounded in electricity.

Level 3/ WIND/ Machine/ Tuner/ Effect

"I then tune my Level 3 Tri-Eyed Dice with my Level 3 Speedroid Darumandrill and my Level 1 Speedroid Legolem Token!" Motoyasu said as Tri-Eyed Dice, Darumandrill, and Legolem Token soared into the sky.

"Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings. Strike down our enemies at light speed!" Motoyasu chanted as he pointed his finger above him as light shone down on him.

Suddenly, three rings appeared, one blue, one grey, and the last one red, appeared before turning into balls of light and merging with one another. Seven blue rings stacked in a tower formation appeared, and a screen displaying "3 plus 3 plus 1" appeared in front of everyone. The screen then changed to a "7" as a beam of light surged through the rings.

"I Synchro Summon!"

Flying down from high above was a black futuristic-looking Dragon that wore white and sky blue armor. It's eyes were a shining yellow color. It had no legs, but had what could be considered rockets for legs. Around it's waist was four hologram green clear wings. It's hands both had six fingers and it's forearms had the same hologram green clear wings. It's head has white armor on the back and sky blue armor covering it's jaw, the sides of it's mouth and the middle of it's forehead, which had a white tip at the tip of it's middle horn.

"Come forth, Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The Dragon with Clear Wings let out a powerful and night roar to her audience. The audience was all left in awe at the beauty of the Dragon, but they also felt some kind of connection between Clear Wing and Odd-Eyes.

When Clear Wing and Odd-Eyes locked eyes, they both let out mighty roars at the same time that was capable of shaking the very earth itself right now. Motoyasu and Yuya eyes glowed for a moment; Motoyasu's eyes glowed a feint greenish-white, whilst Yuya's eyes glowed a feint red and blue.

"I then activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn!" Motoyasu said.

The card's art depicted a pendant it had wings at the side and in the middle was a red gem.

A pendant appeared out of nowhere and glowed as the earth shook and rumbled as Hi-Speedroid Legolem crawled itself out of the ground. Once it was fully out of the ground, it let out a loud rumble.

"BATTLE!" Motoyasu announced. "Clear Wing! Attack Yuya's Coin Dragon! Spinstorm Sky Strike!" Motoyasu said as he saw Coin Dragon as the bigger threat than Odd-Eyes at the moment.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon flew high into the air and spun around and a comet of wind surrounded the Dragon as she then flew down towards Coin Dragon aiming to destroy the cutesy dragon.

Coin Dragon was blown away when Clear Wing's attack had landed upon it, hitting against the high dive pole.

Yuya was then blown away and he hit the ground. As Coin Dragon turned to yellow dust and was sent to the Graveyard. Raphtalia struggled as she watched Yuya's LP go down.

Yuya: 2200 - 800 = 1400 LP

"Legolem destroy Partnaga!" Motoyasu commanded his Legolem to destroy Partnaga as he saw that as the next bigger threat.

Legolem smashed Partnaga with his fist and when it lifted it's fist, Partnaga was now as flat as a pancake before it turned to dust and sent to the Graveyard.

Myne looked at her surroundings and carefully, drew a card from her boot and flicked it towards Motoyasu, which almost nobody notice. When Motoyasu noticed the card next to him, he picked it up. Motoyasu smiled as a planned form in his head.

"Be careful, Yuya. Myne just threw Motoyasu another card and it didn't look like an Action Card." Yuri informs the Pendulum Duelist.

Yuya grimaced as he knew that he never finished the final tweaks to Yugo's new Duel Disk back home, making it so that any cards outside the deck was determined to be an illegal interference. Which was very bad news for him.

'Did you get a good look at it?' Yuya mentally asked Yuri if he saw what card it was.

"No. I didn't." Yuri said.

With Ren and Itsuki, the Bow Hero and the Sword Hero noticed Myne flicking the card towards Motoyasu, they didn't say anything at the moment, as they didn't know or understand why she would want Yuya to lose so badly.

"I set a card face down and end my turn." Motoyasu said as he placed a Spell/Trap card face-down on his side of the field.

"Well, everybody, this isn't looking good for me. I have no cards in my hand, 1400 LP left, and my support is no longer here to deal the final blow." Yuya said with a showman tone. "So this last card may help me win or I may lose it all!"

"I... DRAW!!!" Yuya shouted as he drew his card.

"Now, I'll show you the true power of Pendulum Summoning!" Yuya said with a cautious glare but still held his smile.

"The true... power of Pendulum Summoning?" Motoyasu asked.

"That's right! Now swing far Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory!" Yuya said with a grin. "My Monsters are ready... TO SWING INTO ACTION!!!"

"Thanks again for the helping hand, Performapal Partnaga!"

"Wait a minute, I destroyed that monster! It should have been sent to the graveyard, why is it back?!" Motoyasu questioned as nearly everyone was confused on why Partnaga was back.

"Pendulum Monsters that are Destroyed, Tributed, Fusion Summoned, or Synchro Summoned instead go face-up to my Extra Deck. And if I have the right scales, I can bring them back onto the field." Yuya revealed the true potential of Pendulum Summoning.

Nearly everybody was shocked by the power of Pendulum Summoning. The ability to summon multiple monsters at once, not going to the Graveyard and can be brought back to the battlefield.

"Partnaga then activates his effect!" Yuya shouted.

"Since their are 3 "Performapal" monsters that equals up to 900 ATK." Yuya said as Partnaga wrapped it's head and body around Dragon Dancer's arm and Friendonkey's body. It then latched it's gloved hand onto Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's tail.

"Sir Yuya might just win this duel!" Rishia said with excitement. "If he attacks Sir Motoyasu's Clear Wing, then that will be a 900 damage, but with Odd-Eyes ability, that will deal 1800 points of damage."

"Then after Sir Motoyasu attacks Friendonkey, if Sir Yuya is able to protect it, then he could summon his Coin Dragon on the next turn. Sir Yuya will be able to deal the finishing blow and winning him this match!" Elena said, over hearing Rishia, she was also excited.

"But what about that card Sir Motoyasu set?" Rino asked, worried as she looks at the set card on Motoyasu's field.

"I don't know, but it can't be that dangerous from what we have seen so far from this match." Rojeel said, not thinking much about the card.

"BATTLE!" Yuya shouted. "Attack, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon take out Clear Wing Dragon now! Spiral Flame Strike!" Yuya shouted as he and Odd-Eyes charged at Clear Wing.

Motoyasu then gave a sinister smirk at the oncoming Dueltainer and his Dragon attack.

"I activate the Trap Card, Magic Cylinder!" Motoyasu announced.

The Trap Card showed two jars with one jar being filled with a beam of energy and the beam of energy coming out of the 2nd Jar.

"With it, My victory has been decided! Because all Battle Damage that would have been dealt to me, is directed right back at you instead." Motoyasu revealed the effect of the Trap Card, everyone let out a gasp in shock at how powerful the Trap Card was.

"NO!" Yuya shouted with wide frightened eyes.

"NOT THAT CARD!" Yugo screamed.

"I thought they banned it?" Yuri asked with surprise in his voice.

'They did, but after a couple of years they made it unlimited.' Yuya mentally said his tone was terrified. As this was an old and powerful card made during the first years of Duel Monsters.

"The Shows Over, Yuya Sakaki!!!" Motoyasu shouted as two cylinders appeared next to him when Odd-Eyes Attack landed the first jar moved in front of Clear Wing and the 2nd jar fired Odd-Eyes attack back at Yuya.

Raphtalia watched as the beam of Spiral Flame Strike came rushing towards Yuya, tears filled her eyes as she watched on with horror.

'YUUUUUUUYYYYYYAAAAAA!!!!' Raphtalia's thoughts cried out as she could do nothing but watch Yuya's defeat.

The powerful beam of light struck Yuya dealing every battle damage that Odd-Eyes had launched back at Yuya sending the Pro Duelist flying into the air and back on the ground.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" Yuya screamed as he was launched into the air and landed on his back.

Yuya's LP: 1400 - 3400 = 0 LP

Crossover Carnival, Hi-Speedroid Legolem, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Dragon Dancer, Friendonkey, Partnaga all slowly disappeared into nothingness. Not a single person said a single word after the Shield Hero was defeated.

"The battle has been... won." Motoyasu declared.

Everyone who had made bets on Motoyasu winning, cheered at their victory. Everyone else who made bets on Yuya looked at the poor Duelist with pity. The lord of Lute Village gave a sorrow filled look at Yuya, he felt sorry for his lose.

King Aultcray gave a chuckle at the Shield Hero's defeat as Yuya struggled to pick himself back up.

"You... You didn't win." Yuya winced in pain as he held his Duel Disk arm.

"Huh?" Motoyasu questioned.

"What happened to this being a one-on-one duel? I saw Myne give you that Evasion Action Spell and Magic Cylinder with her magic." Yuya grunted as he got up to his feet. "It's obvious that you didn't win."

"What are you talking about?" Motoyasu asked, wondering what the hell Yuya is talking about, he found those cards and played them, he thinks.

"Your red-head magician butted in our match and helped you win!" Yuya said with anger clear in his tone.

"Ha! Little man's a sore loser?" Motoyasu said, it's clear he didn't know and thinks that no women would ever do that.

"I am not a sore loser, because it's the truth!" Yuya shouted his tone clearly more aggressive than what the Heroes ever heard before.

"Everyone here could see her do it! And even then, Normal Trap Cards don't just appear out of no where!" Yuya shouted. "You all saw Myne use her magic, didn't you? I know you all saw it! She used her magic to help him win!"

The Lord of Lute Village wanted to say that he did see her use her magic, but he was too afraid of what might happen to him if he did say just like everyone else who betted on the Shield Hero.

When Yuya saw that no one was willing to speak up, either out of Fear of what may happen to them if they do, or just pure hatred for the Shield Hero. No one supported Yuya, and the Lord of Lute Village felt ashamed.

"There's no way. They must have seen it." Yuya quietly said, shocked that no one would speak out.

"They did, their just too afraid of what will happen to them or too full of hatred to help us." Yuri said.

"I shall listen to no more arguments about this battle. Brave Spear Hero, you have won the duel!" King Aultcray praised Motoyasu's victory.

"I just knew you would win." Myne giggles as she ran towards Motoyasu. She then gave a lustful sigh. "Sir Motoyasu."

"You knew, huh?" Motoyasu blushed.

Myne then walked over to Yuya, a smile on her face.

"Too bad, Shield Hero. You must be so upset about your loss." Myne smiled. "It really is such a shame that you'll have to go back to fighting all by yourself." She then laughs in front of his face.

Yuya let's out an angry growl, as the Shield's Orb reacts and starts to turn a dark blood red, as Yuya's ears hears the sound of a Dragon's roar that he hasn't ever heard since he was 14 years old.

Itsuki hears the feint sound of a dragon's roar, but it sounded like a mix of Odd-Eyes and Dark Rebellion together, just more rage-filled.

The king seemed to not mind the outburst at all. "Yet another of your outlandish excuses. You had many excuses at your trial as well, as I recall. Truly, you will say and do anything. It was quite righteous of Sir Motoyasu to free your slave. One can only imagine what you put her through." King Aultcray says.

"Thank you sir." Motoyasu said thanking King Aultcray XXXII praise for saving Raphtalia.

"Now I know why my daughter, Malty, chooses to believe so much in you." King Aultcray says as he places a hand on Motoyasu's shoulder.

"You see, Papa?" Myne, now reveal to be Malty, giggled as she ran over to her Father and the Spear Hero.

This sudden reveal that Myne/Malty is actually King Aultcray's daughter, shocks Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri greatly.

"Did she just say...?" Yugo said with wide eyes.

"I don't believe it." Yuto said with wide eyes.

"I said it once and I'll say it again, She's Good." Yuri said with wide eyes.

"I gotta say, it was a total shock to learn that Myne was the King's daughter." Motoyasu said, it seemed that Malty told him she was a Princess and was the King's daughter.

"I am." Malty said confirming his statement. "But I fight to contribute to the world's peace."

The whole world just froze for Yuya the roar that sounded like a mix between a rage-filled Odd-Eyes and a rage-filled Dark Rebellion grew louder and louder almost deafening in his ears. And he could hear what it wanted the most.

It wanted to burn, everything. Until Life and Death no longer existed. Yuya's eyes and Shield burned with blood red fire.

'This entire thing... was planned.' Yuya's face twitched, he then thought back to all his moments with Malty. 'The princess framed me to get in the good graces of her favorite hero.' His face twitched again a frown appeared on his face. 'And her father twisted the facts to please his dear daughter.' Another face twitched as his frown transformed into a scowl. 'Even this duel was a setup all along!' His scowl transformed into a enrage-filled fume.

Flashback to the Party...

"I know that the Shield Hero has forced that poor girl to be his slave." Malty whispered into Motoyasu's ear. "You must save her."

Motoyasu gasps in shock at the information Malty gave him.

Back to the present...

Yuya watched as Motoyasu was getting healed as he questioned why this whole damn country is so against him anyways.

'I just don't understand...' Yuya questioned in his mind as he tuned out Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri. '...why they all want to see me fail like this.'

Yuya's Legendary Shield's green orb then started to let out a large amount of black smoke with a greenish-red aura that surrounded the poor Duelist.

'I didn't come to this world because I wanted to. You wanted it! You summoned me here!' Yuya's thoughts demanded answers. 'So why are they doing this to me?'

"The girl who was enslaved by the cowardly Shield Hero has been given her freedom by the triumphant Spear Hero!" The King's Advisor with the bowl cut announced as Raphtalia looked at Yuya with tears in her eyes.

"It's clear that we should never have summoned the Shield Hero to begin with!"

"The other three serve us well!"

"We should just get rid of that criminal scum as soon as possible."

"Our country doesn't need the Shield!"

"They don't even care about Yuya." Itsuki said as he looked around hearing the different spectators voicing their hatred of Yuya and their praise of the Bow, Spear, and Sword Heroes.

Ren just narrows his eyes at every single person present who is talking bad about Yuya and praising that the three of them will stop the Waves.

"Execute the Shield Hero right away!" An elderly Nobleman demands Yuya to just be killed off right here and now.

Yuya was just having the single worst moment of his life. He felt so terribly alone and weak now. He had no one and no way to live. The world itself would just find any other way to push him back down to the path of failure and suicidal death. No matter how hard he tried, no matter how clever his plans were. He just can't take on the whole world. Not alone.

'They all get to laugh at me while they push me into the dirt. They dismiss me as nothing and when I try to prove them wrong, they make sure I fail. I can't win. I can't live... Even Raphtalia, they can't even let me have her.' Yuya thought to himself as rage-filled tears threatened to pour from his face. Yuya fell to his knees, his arms covering his face.

Two Knights pulled Raphtalia towards the stage to have her Slave Crest erased, she struggled and groaned as she tried to escape and make her way to Yuya. When she saw her fallen savior she looked at him with sadness and immense pity, she really wanted to comfort the poor hero.

Malty turned to a few cloaked men. "As Sir Motoyasu promised, remove the poor girl's seal." The men both nodded.

As they readied the eraser, Raphtalia struggled against her restraints. Of course she wanted to be free, but not like this. She wanted to stand by his side and earn his trust. She wanted to be free when he decided it.

Yuya gasped as he looked back up when he heard Malty say that, but in his mind, all he saw was the young Raphtalia who wore ragged clothes and had no life in her eyes.

"Raphtalia..." Yuya muttered tears threaten to break free.

"Begin." King Aultcray's voice ordered.

The Knight lowered Raphtalia's dress to where her Slave Crest was shown. The Knight then turned Raphtalia towards the robed man who ready the eraser before they poured it on her Crest.

"Wait!" Yuya reached out not wanting to lose the only person who made him feel sane in this insane world.

Raphtalia's Slave Crest then glowed Pink before it started to seep down like oil in a pan before vanishing.

Yuya watched as Raphtalia's name and stats were erased from underneath his name.

[Contract]

("Slave pact with Raphtalia terminated")

Yuya gasped in shock as he read that he and Raphtalia were no longer together.

"There. You're free now." Malty said. "Be grateful for Sir Motoyasu's kindness." She said as she removed Raphtalia's gag. Raphtalia's face held no smile or grin, but just that sad, lifeless look that Yuya saw the first time the two met.

Malty turned Raphtalia around, but she looked back to look at Yuya.

"R-Raphtalia...?" Yuya cried as he tears up.

"This is goodbye." Was all she said as she slowly turned back around and left him.

Yuya was in tears as he gritted his teeth. He was beyond sadness or anger and now was heading for insanity.

'no. no. no. no. No. No. No. No. No." Yuya muttered over and over and over again in his thoughts and aloud.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" Yuya screamed in pain and agony.

As the cloaked men untied Raphtalia, Motoyasu approached her with a charming grin and a hand outstretched like a cliché fairytale prince.

SLAP

Raphtalia slapped him as hard as she could. As beat up as he was, it knocked him to the ground and he had to use his Spear to support himself back up.

"I never asked to be freed!" Raphtalia was on the verge of tears. The Knights were about to apprehend Raphtalia, but King Aultcray stopped them.

Her slapping the Spear Hero not only surprised Motoyasu himself, but also King and his daughter as well.

Motoyasu was completely bewildered. "Wh-what?"

"Don't you dare slap Sir Motoyasu! He was very grateful to set you free!" Malty shouted at Raphtalia.

"I was content-no, I was happy to be his slave!" She stood over him in anger.

"Wait a second, I thought he was abusing you and treating you badly? Given his history..." Motoyasu didn't want to say more, but he had to point them out.

"Abuse? Me? That man has given me everything! I was literally waiting for someone to kill me before he bought me!" Raphtalia exclaimed. "You know nothing about my Yuya."

Motoyasu was now a stuttering mess.

"After he bought me, I was starving to death! He feed me, Five full meals a day, sometimes six. Even spent extra on sweets when I said I wanted them." She yelled.

"When he bought me, I was sick to the verge of death. You know what he did? He went out of his way to make the medicine himself and those tools were expensive." She still had her voice raised, but she was no longer yelling.

"When he bought me, I was weak. I'd never of been able to defend myself from anyone or anything in this world. I was a victim for the world to abuse me. When he bought me, He trained me. He made me into the person I am right now. Just earlier today, I saved the lives of tens of villagers that you abandoned. He made me strong enough to save not only myself, but had the strength to spare to save others." She wasn't raising her voice at all anymore.

She began to talk in a low voice.

"When he bought me, I had nightmares every. single. night. All I saw was the monster of the first wave ripping my parents apart, piece by piece. With me falling helplessly into the ocean. I dreamt about the soldiers of this country. How they came and killed our elderly and enslaved everyone else... He held me. Even if just a hand at times, he held me. A constant reminder that I was no longer alone. He kept all that horror at bay. And I am forever grateful to him." Raphtalia said tears were now pouring from her face.

Motoyasu was dumbfounded. "That can't be true. He isn't that kinda guy. He makes you fight! He forces you to risk you life!"

Raphtalia met his eyes for the first time. She seemed to look deep into him or maybe far past him?

"Yet you heroes and your party's are forced to do the same? So why is it acceptable for Yuya-sama to be forced to fight all by himself, but if he buys a slave it's somehow a grave sin?" Raphtalia questioned.

Motoyasu barely registered her words. "B-But it doesn't have to be you! Don't you know he'll put you in danger every time?"

"But it does have to be him..."

Motoyasu couldn't find or say anything after that.

"The day I can't be with him. The day we can't protect one another. That day..." She didn't want to even consider it.

"I'll never return to what I was. Yuya-sama has raised me better than that. If they try and put me in a cage again... I'll take as many of them with me as I can." She said definitively.

"Y-you can't! Y-You must be controlled to say that!" Motoyasu was desperately trying to grasp at any straws.

"But you won the duel, did you now? Is the Slave Crest not undone?" Raphtalia asked.

"I-I-It is, but... that's it! It must be his Shield! He has many weird shields that can all do some weird things! One of them must-" Motoyasu desperately said.

"Yuya was right about you... You really are a waste of time." Raphtalia said, she sounded tired and bitter.

"You took me from him, even if for a moment. I will never forgive you for that... I have to return at once." She turned and began walking towards Yuya, she then looks back at Motoyasu. "If you're capable of such kindness, where's your slave?"

She then made her way back towards Yuya.

"W-Wait!" But before Motoyasu could complain too much, Malty was beside him. Telling him to leave her be.

Ren and Itsuki approached the both of them.

"Do you want to explain your illegal interference in that duel?" Ren said looking at Malty coldly.

"Twice?" Itsuki was fed up with them and it hadn't even started.

With Yuya...

[Do you hate this whole world?]

Yes I do! This whole place it rotten. It seems to want me to be miserable. I can't trust anyone to stand with me. This whole damn world wants to throw me to the wolves for their own sake, but wont help me! They wont help me save themselves!'

[Do you want to destroy it all?]

'Yes! It's done nothing, but try and kill me! Trying to kill it back is only fair! I-'

"Yuya-sama..." She didn't know how to approach this. She knew his anger was at levels she'd not seen before.

"What do you want?" He spat those words, but she'd forgive him for that. She'd always forgive him.

Raphtalia tried to get close to him, he scrambled back a bit.

"I didn't do it..." He whispered.

She tried again. "Yuya-sama... I wish to remain by your side."

"Lies!" He shouted as he tried to smack her arms away.

He kept his head lowered as he spoke. "I bought you, I owned you. I made you kill... this is your chance, I guess. So go ahead then. Laugh. Mock me. You're free... Just like the rest of them." He said the last part bitterly.

"Do you think I'd abandon you just because I have no obligation? Yuya, I already told you, I am your sword." She tells him.

"Stop!" He didn't want to hear it. The hope was too beautiful. If he imagined it, he'd never stop crying.

He grabbed his shield and tried with all his might to tear it off. Strength he didn't think he had. "I want to live, but this damn thing! Grrr! If only I could get rid of it!"

Raphtalia leaned down and placed a hand on his shield. He felt it. It felt like she was touching him directly.

"I don't hate this shield... This shield gave you the ability to cure my sickness. It gave you the ability to save me from danger, it helped me grow into the kind of person I never dreamed of becoming, it gave us an excuse to be together as we slept... This small shield has given you the ability to act upon you generosity and kindness." Raphtalia spoke.

"D-didn't you hate your seal! It's the same thing!" Yuya shouted.

"That seal... It let me meet you... It let you know you weren't alone, It let you have a hope... that I seem do be unable to give without it. I hated that seal at first, but loved what it came to mean and what it allowed us to have."

"S-stop, I... I just wanted to live! Nothing else!" Yuya was making excuses, but they weren't working.

"You're wrong. You spent so much coin healing my sickness." Raphtalia's words were working slowly.

"I needed you to live to fight. I planned on using the skills and abilities I developed from healing you to make money off other people's suffering."

"You fed me warm meals, so often, even got me sweets."

"You had to eat, you were basically a skeleton when I got you. I needed you to grow muscle. T-To fight."

"You held me as I slept, keeping me from my darkest thoughts."

"You'd be too noisy for me t-to sleep... and the monsters would of heard y-"

"So why did you want me to want to live so much?" Raphtalia asked.

"I- what? I never sai-" Yuya stuttered.

"When I told you those words. When I said 'I want to live too' It was the happiest I'd ever seen you." Raphtalia said.

He said nothing... 'I... was?'

She chuckled. "In your own way, you're as bad as Motoyasu."

"Hey!" Yuya said, insulted.

"You'll make any excuse to avoid a truth you don't want to believe..."

"... I'm serious. Stop." Yuya was trying desperately.

"You act mean, but you save and improve the lives of others so freely. You don't do it to be seen in a better light. You do it because you simply want to. You simply seek the betterment of everyone. That makes you more deserving of the title of hero than anyone else."

"Please, stop" Yuya was whimpering. These words. They were too sweet. When they turned out to be a farce, it would break him later on.

She reached out and enveloped him in a hug. He stopped for a moment. He slowly looked up. He was almost too afraid to look her in the eye.

"Yuya-sama. You made me want to live..., but that isn't enough for me anymore." She leaned back to look him eye to eye.

"I have a new goal, one we can share... What I want is to be happy. It may be hard for either of us to achieve it, but together we will not fail. So please believe me when I say I will never abandon you. I will always be on your side. I will tell everyone about how wrong they are about you. My presence and willingness should be assumed. I am your sword Yuy-"

He caved in and fully kissed her on the lips. This caused Raphtalia to blush in surprise, but after a couple of seconds she didn't mind and started to like it. Tears ran down Yuya face and onto her clothes. He had let go, let go of everything. He was so tired of always being on guard. Worried someone or something would be the last bad thing to happen to him. He was so desperate to live, that he forgot to live. She was right. Living isn't good enough... and he's not alone. After what felt like forever for the two of them, Yuya pulled away.

And with the stress of his time in this world gone for the moment, he fell unconscious. He was tired from the duel and the relief was simply too much. Knowing he wasn't alone. Resolving to do more than live. In this moment embracing her, he was already achieving happiness and it started right here and right now.

High above looking down on the Shield Hero and his Demi-Human, was a cloaked figure, you couldn't see their face but their purple eyes and smirking mouth, they looked to be genuinely happy to see Yuya and Raphtalia be happy together. The figure then left the castle without a single word or sound.

You can only use "Performapal Odd-Eyes Dragon Dancer" effect once per turn.

Effect: When Normal or Special Summoned, Add one Dragon-Type "Odd-Eyes" or "Performapal" monster from your Deck to your Hand and reshuffle your Deck.
