The flight home was oddly quiet despite everything that has happened. Gohan had kept nervously glancing back at Frieza as they flew home, Goku meanwhile had a giant goofy grin on his face as he carried the pod. Frieza was simply taking in the sites, after having stayed on Yardat for a year with Goku, this was a welcome change of pace. He sort of missed his palace and all his things now that he thought about it, surprisingly enough he hadn't been thinking about the empire that much as he spent time with Goku training. That was something that he knew he had to talk to Goku about, with his father now gone there would be a massive power vacuum.
Sooner or later he knew he had to go deal with it, he also knew that Goku's child was looking at him constantly and always shied away when he faced him. Today had been the first day that he had seen people who actually feared him in a long time and it left him feeling conflicted.
"There it is Frieza," Goku said glancing over his shoulder and the tyrant. The Tyrant was confused because this had to be a joke right? It had to be one because the one who defeated him Lord Frieza would not live in a shack in the middle of nowhere. "I know you Saiyans love your jokes, but this shack couldn't be yours ... right?" He asked with a confused look on his face, Gohan quickly turned to try and tell him off but he was met but that cold gaze he remembered on Namek quickly shutting him up before he opened his mouth. "Come on Frieza it's not that bad?" Goku said as they hover above the house.
Frieza couldn't believe it, this Saiyan expected him to stay on this backwater planet, in some shack. "Sorry Frieza, I know it's not what you probably expected as a lord and all, you probably preferred a castle like Pilaf had but money is tight and I don't make that much." That seemed to only irk the tyrant more, "you're the strongest being on this planet and you deal with these small concerns when you can just take what you want?" Goku just laughed nervously as he descended slowly with the others following him.
"I will bear with this shack for the moment, but we will build something bigger," Frieza said grilling Goku under his glare. The Saiyan was anxious, that was the same look that Chi-chi gave him but more menacing and less shouting and hitting. "Sure sure Frieza as long as we are not taking from people," that brought a scoff from the former tyrant, "fine ... there are other ways." Frieza was already plotting in the back of his head, he knew probably he would have to go back to his private home planet and take some stuff there. The would probably be some people that need killing that would be trying to take his throne.
"So welcome to our humble little place I hope it's to your liking, I would ask where Chi-chi is but since she's not."
"GOOOKUUU!" there was a screech of a wild beast as Frieza moved closer wrapping his tail around Goku as Chi-Chi broke down the door and glanced at him. Frieza could feel how nervous Goku was, so this was his mate ... but why was it someone so weak.
Chi-chi was looking at the trio, there was Goku holding what looked like one of those ships the Saiyans came with last time, Gohan was standing awkwardly kicking the group and then there was this person who was looking at her with what she could see as if in sympathy. "AND WHOSE THIS?" she said pointing at Frieza and Gohan immediately perked up as he rushed to his mom and covered her mouth glancing nervously at Frieza. The tyrant let out a twitch, this banshee was going to be a problem. The temptation to lift his finger and just shoot her with a death beam was enormous, but it all faded away as he felt an arm wrap around his shoulders.
"Oh hi Chi-chi, this is Frieza he's going to be staying with us," Goku said laughing nervously as he tried to sneakily rub Frieza's back and shoulder to calm him down.
But Chi-chi was frozen as she breathed slowly as she tried to calm herself down. She had been about to blow a fuse when she saw Goku putting his arm around this gorgeous-looking alien, but he was a guy she thought letting out a sigh in relief. At least he's a guy she said looking at him, "Oh he's a guy" she said mumbling through Gohan's hand. "What did you say mom?" Gohan asked as he removed his hand covering her mouth, "Oh i said so he's a guy."
Frieza could see the visible relief that came to her face when she thought he was a guy and before Goku could say anything. "Oh don't you worry little human, i am both," Frieza said with that smug smile on his face staring at Chi-chi. "What do you mean?" Chi-chi asked nervously, and from the worry that had returned to her face, he knew he had her hook line and sinker. "My species is very adaptable, to say the least ... we can work alone or adapt and add more genes from other races if necessary. Chi-chi didn't need any more information on what he was talking about it was rather obvious with the way his tail wrapped around Goku and he held his hand on his shoulder looking up at him whilst giving her a side eye with that ever-so-smug grin.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING YOU HUSSY" she screamed as she tried to rush Frieza but Gohan held her back out of range only further amusing the former tyrant.
"Oh this might be amusing after all Goku," Frieza said with a smile kissing the Saiyan on the cheek and watching Chi-chi seething.
