It had been a year since Frieza had arrived on earth and started living with the sons. The tension between Chi-chi and Frieza had been terrifying initially but had fallen into a rhythm after the first few months. Piccolo had come to offer Goku training with Gohan and Goku wanted to see just what his son could learn after Piccole had told him that he probably could get more powerful than Goku if he tried. Thus Gohan had gone off to train with Piccolo and Frieza could only be surprised at the way Goku just blatantly handed over his spawn.

But Frieza's interest had been piqued and he wanted to know just what the Namekian was teaching the Saiyan. So more often than not, Frieza found himself watching the Namekian training Gohan. Well, training would be putting it nicely because after some initial training the Namekian had simply left the boy to fend for himself, or so it seemed as the Namekian had only moved only some distance away and hid his power. "So a test?" Frieza thought as he watched on and he wasn't even surprised when the Namekian came up to him one day.

"Frieza" the namekian had asked after observing him watching Gohan for a few days, "It's lord Frieza to you ... but carry on." Piccolo only scoffed, "what are you doing here? Especially in your current condition." Frieza stood up from his sitting position and walked toward the Namekian, "just watching what you are teaching the spawn of Goku." Piccolo wasn't that much bothered, initially he had tried reading the aura of Frieza but it was always murky and hard to discern, even more so at the moment. "Please do tell me how the training goes as I have other commitments," Frieza said as he hovered into the air before blasting off.

Piccolo just growled, "Goku you sure know how to pick them," he said before he turned his attention back to Gohan who was fighting with some wildlife over food. Frieza's life had changed monumentally in the past year, from moving to this planet and the fight to reclaim his father's throne after his untimely death he thought with a small smile. When he had got there with Goku accompanying him to make sure he doesn't do too many bad things. He had walked into a room full of some of the ministers that his father had appointed to monitor quadrants of their territory in their absence and the room had fallen silent instantaneously.

"Hello you flirty creatures, as you can see, news of my death has been greatly exaggerated," he said waltzing into the room. But to his surprise, none of the people in the room had bowed as they looked at him confusedly. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? AND HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT THIS MEETING." That caused a twitch on his brow, a year missing and somehow all of them had lost their manners. He knew it was probably because they hadn't seen him in this form but that disrespect was beyond him.

He raised his hand ready to death beam everyone in the room till he felt the angel on his shoulder or should he say hand as Goku grabbed his arm lowering it. "Frieza play nice" he scowl breaking his arm from Goku, elder Yarday would have probably knocked him out by now. "I am lord Frieza," he said and the room once again went silent, "LIKE HELL YOU ARE!" one voice shouted from the far side of the room as they were seated around a massive table. Before Goku could get out a word a familiar purple beam shot through the man's head and moments later his form hit the ground.

Everyone was quiet as Goku just let out a sigh, "at least tell me he was a bad guy?" Goku asked and Frieza just shrugged why would he know such a thing about some servants. "Most likely Goku, he did work for my father." MY LORD" "EMPEROR FRIEZA" all the voices in the room burst into life as they all got off their chairs dropping to their knees with frightening speed. "That's more like it," Frieza said as he walked toward the large chair at the head of the table that used to be his father's.

There was someone seating in it and before the being could even get out a word another beam shot through it. He pushed it off with his tail, why would he dirty his hands with such? Frieza could already feel Goku's gaze behind him, "Goku, I suggest you get used to it, all the people in this room are not good people." Frieza sat down with Goku standing by his side as he looked over all of the people in the room, "now back to business."

Frieza as he thought back to that, it had been way easier than he thought. On one hand, it had been quite boring and uneventful, he had thought he would have to quell some rebellions or kill more people but the ministers had maintained a lie saying that he and his father had gone off to training. He knew they had done it as a way to dissuade people from trying to do anything harsh in the absence of Frieza. Goku had also told him to stop the conquering of planets and he had begrudgingly agreed.

It had only taken him a short while to have some of his troops now stationed around earth as a form of security even though he knew he mostly didn't need it. The first thing he had done with his power restored was to move out of that shack. He wanted to destroy it outrightly but Goku had said no to it as he said it held some sentimental value. With that in mind, he had got his troops to build a castle next to the small house that they lived in once in a while much to the surprise of his troops but they never questioned it.

Chi-chi surprising had terrifyingly happy about all the things Frieza was bringing, which threw off the tyrant. He had expected to rub it in her face on how he could give Goku so much more than her but she seemed excited with the new status. Frieza would have ditched her if it was for Goku some much stating that she was coming along which she proceeded to rub in his face. Chi-chi seemed to settle into the life of an empress rather quickly leaving him to spend more and more time with Goku. This had led to his current situation, he always asked Goku if he was fine with the way she acted but he had simply replied that he had his adventures and she could have hers.

He flew down to the small house next to the castle, they were having dinner at that house today. Frieza stretched, flying these days felt more draining than it used to be but he felt great regardless. He walked into the house and saw Chi-chi busy in the kitchen, she had taken to the life of an empress well but she still preferred to do some stuff on her own.

Goku was settled on the table waiting for his meal, it always surprised Frieza how much he had a weakness in food, something that now he had to deal with himself. "Oh Frieza, right on time," Chi-chi said as she brought out mountains of plates of food, well the first round. As soon as she laid them on the table Goku was already reaching for them and he was swiftly hit in the head with a rolling pin. "Wait your turn Goku Frieza has first pick," normally no one would have expected such a sentence to come from her mouth, but they would have been able to explain everything.

"After all, he's eating for two."
