Chapter 2: A Very Long First Day

canonseeker: Male Oc with extreme powers? Check. Self -insert that is protagonist? check.

Forced shipping? check. Bad fanfic? Oh yes.

Dragon Emperor0: Okay. A. Fenris is not a Self Insert. B. His powers aren't that crazy. C. This isn't forced, we're going to develop it naturally. And in response to the asinine points you made in PMs: Team RWBY are still in the story… I'm just introducing them gradually like Celtic Phoenix did in his Fixing RWBY series. Maybe if you read the other three trailer chapters (showing the rest of Team CESN) and the first ACTUAL chapter of the goddamn story, you'd know that! In our story the main plot revolves around Team RWBY. Team CESN will have their own original subplots that will work into the main plot of the story. We're not replacing Team RWBY. That's a stupid assumption, we're changing the perspective of which the story is told. And lastly… A. I don't complain about the show with nothing but negativity. I may have gripes about certain aspects, sure, but I can still enjoy them.

B. You know fuck all about me. I have one (technically two) other RWBY story where most if not all of the cannon stuff is kept the same except a couple things that I thought could use some tweaking to make it a little more interesting. C. I enjoy RWBY. Now, do I like how it's been done ever since Monty passed? Not necessarily, but I still watch it. Because it's one of the only shows that makes me feel happy. So—fuck you. D. CESN Ragnarok, is a story INSPIRED by the Fixing Rwby series. Not a one for one copy and paste version you ignoramus. I just like some of the ideas in that series and decided to use some of them to spice up MY OWN original story that I came up with MYSELF. With my co author. And you insulting me because of that because you misconstrued my idea as "replacing the protagonists with self inserts' ' (which is something I am NOT going to do) is absolutely disgusting. E. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Who are you to judge us? Are you god?

ThermalsniperN7: And this story isn't automatically bad, especially since it's just starting out.

Devil Dragon Stand Knight: I can't wait for Penny to join in. She's best girl! Heh, at least he ain't absurdly afraid of water like in RWBY Chibi. That would be embarrassing to see in this story. XD Aah! Your changing up Team SSSN! I'm liking this!

Dragon Emperor0: I'm so glad you like this story.

ThermalsniperN7: Yeah. And Neptune using water as a weapon seems like a nice upgrade.

-Skies of Vale-

As the three kids continued to wait for the airship to land, a girl with black hair wearing a bow on her head was watching a news report done by Lisa Lavender about a Faunus civil rights protest that turned dark due to the White Fang disrupting the otherwise peaceful show of civil discourse.

The girl watching the report seemed to regard it with a mixture of disappointment and… Remorse, oddly enough, as she turned away from the screen. Luca watched it from a different angle and let out a sigh as he looked away.

"Shit." He hissed. It was at this point that an image of Goodwitch appeared as a hologram.

"Who's that?" Yang questioned as she, Ruby and Fenris turned around to face the hologram.

"Hello, everyone. My name is Glynda Goodwitch." The woman began, getting an 'oh' from Yang. "You are among the privileged few chosen to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is in a great time of peace, and as future huntsmen and huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. We hope to help you by training you to be able to better protect our world." She told them.

"That was a complete one eighty of how she was that night." The faunus boy noted.

"Yeah. No kidding." Ruby nodded. Though as everyone else was enjoying the view they had, a blond boy suddenly started making his way to a ship bathroom to presumably hurl.

'Poor kid.' The wolf boy thought as he watched him run. Soon enough they docked, and everyone was able to disembark. As they did, the blond kid from before hurled into a trash can while everyone else walked right by him.

At a separate end of the dock, Sun and Neptune arrived at Beacon on another ship. Both seemed very lax and ready to seize the day.

"Well, that was certainly a relaxing ride." Sun noted.

"Yeah. It really calmed my nerves." Neptune nodded.

Meanwhile back with Ruby and the other two, they were walking into the courtyard and the silver eyed girl was too busy gushing over all the apparently awesome weapons.

"Ruby, calm down. They're just weapons." Yang chuckled as she reigned her little sister in.

"Just weapons? They're extensions of ourselves!" The girl retorted.

"Then why not swoon over your own?" Her sister asked.

"Because seeing new weapons is like meeting new people, just better." Ruby responded.

Fenris, meanwhile, was too distracted to listen to their conversation. But not by the weapons, but by the sudden smell of sausages that hit his sensitive nose.

"I smell sausages." He said, getting the girls' attention.

"Oh no…" Ruby groaned as the boy's mouth started watering before he suddenly bolted off towards the smell. "Yang, can you please get him before he steals someone's lunch?" She asked.

"Uh, sorry, but my friends are here so I should probably be going, bye!" Yang said as she bolted away with a group of kids from Signal, leaving the girl to get their bags… Alone.

"Ugh… why me…" Ruby sighed as she struggled to get the bags moving, not noticing the luggage carts moving around her. "Whoa!" She yelped as she knocked over another person's bags.

"What are you doing?!" Another girl's voice asked indignantly. Ruby quickly looked around and saw a girl dressed in white with similar white hair and blue eyes standing in front of her.

"Sorry! I was trying to move my sister's bags and mine, and well… this happened." The hooded girl said, not noticing the red dust that she was all over her as she dusted herself off.

"Are you serious?! Do you have any idea of what damage you could've caused?!" The whitette questioned before looking at her servants. "And why were my bags in the same area as the luggage of the others?!" She snapped at them.

It was at this point that the girl from before picked up a vial that rolled into her foot and Fenris started making his way back to Ruby, with a rope and sausage links wrapped around his neck and one in his mouth. Meanwhile the blue eyed girl was still chewing Ruby out.

"Do you have any idea of what this stuff is?!" She questioned, somehow ignoring how disoriented Ruby was.

"I—Ah—Do! It's—ah ahh—Dust! AH-CHOO!" The girl snapped as she sneezed, causing an explosion. It was at this moment Fenris grew concerned and rushed to Ruby's side.

Though as he approached them, he found that both girls seemed to be untouched by the explosion, which made him let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and swallow a bite of sausage.

"Whoa, that was close." Ruby shuddered. "Are you okay?" She asked the girl as she helped her up.

"Ugh, I'll live." The other girl groaned before glaring at the silver eyed girl. "But this is exactly what I was talking about!" She snapped.

"I think that's enough, personally." A new voice interjected, causing everyone to turn and see Luca standing there with a bored look on his face.

"And who do you think you are to say such things?!" The whitette questioned with a glare.

"Luca Emerald, someone who just wants to find the nearest quiet spot and relax." The green scaled boy replied, unfazed by the rich girl's glare.

"How dare you?! Do you even know who I am?!" The girl snapped. It was then that Fenris walked up behind her.

"Is there a reason why we should care?" He questioned as he towered over the pompous girl and cast a shadow over her. This made him seem like an imposing figure considering the girl he was towing over seemed to be fighting the urge to shudder. "What's the matter, Princess? Wolf got your tongue?" He questioned.

"It's heiress, actually." A new voice said as the girl from before walked up to them. Turning, they saw a black haired girl in a black and white outfit that Luca swore looked like guerilla attire. "Weiss Schnee, heiress of the Schnee Dust company." She continued.

"Finally, someone who recognizes importance." Weiss huffed.

"The same company that has questionable business partners, low wages for mine workers, is known for cutting corners, and has no regard for the safety or working conditions of their faunus workers." The girl continued, which made Fenris involuntarily let out a growl out of habit as his hair bristled.

"Wha- How dare- the nerve of- ugh!" Weiss stammered before giving up and storming off.

"I promise I'll make this up to you!" Ruby called after her.

"Now that it's all quiet, mind telling us how you got in that situation?" Luca inquired as he walked up to her and Fenris, the wolf boy getting in between the two. "Not a People person, I take it?" He asked.

"No, I just don't trust snakes. The last one I trusted, tried to gouge out Ruby's eyes." The boy replied as he started to return to his normal height of five-eleven.

"Hm… Well, I'm not really interested in that kind of thing. So no worries there." The white haired boy shrugged, not really perturbed by the wolf faunus' reasons for distrust. He's not secretly insane, mind you. He's just chill.

"I kinda knocked over her bags." Ruby explained as she took one of Fenris's sausages. "My sister left me with ours." She added.

"Seriously? Dammit Yang!" Her friend groaned as someone bumped into him. Turning around, the three saw that it was the vomit boy from before… who had a map of campus that he was reading upside down.

"Ugh, none of these directions make any sense!" He complained before noticing he bumped into someone and looked up to see Fenris looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Uh… do you know where the auditorium is?" He asked awkwardly.

The three looked at him before collectively facepalming as Ruby turned his map over. "This should help." She said as he looked at it again.

"... Oh. Whoops." He chuckled sheepishly. "My name's Jaune, by the way." He added.

"I'm Ruby." The girl replied.

"Fenris." The wolf faunus replied.

"Aren't you the kid who threw up on the plane?" Luca asked before he got smacked by Fen. "Oh, my name's Luca." He added as he rubbed his shoulder.

A few minutes later, the group was heading to the auditorium while making small talk.

"All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a more common problem than people think." Jaune said as they walked along.

"Sorry, vomit boy was the only thing I could think of at the time." Ruby apologized.

"Ever consider taking anti nausea pills before you travel?" Luca asked. Jaune blinked at that before he facepalmed.

"Dang it!" He groaned.

"It happens to everyone, dude." The wolf faunus said with a shrug.

"Well the name's Jaune Arc. Simple, sweet, rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it." The blonde retorted.

"... Do they?" The snake faunus asked.

"They do! At least, I hope they do." Jaune sighed. "So what kind of weapons do you have?" He asked.

"I have this." Ruby said as she brought out Crescent Rose.

"A combat scythe? Don't see too many of those." Luca commented with a blink. He then brought out his whip. "This is Kukulkan, a Dust whip. See the feathers? They're made of Dust." He explained.

"Dust feathers? Never heard of that before." Fenris blinked in surprise while Ruby looked amazed.

"Whoa! What kind of Dust are the feathers made of?!" She asked excitedly.

"Each kind I can think of." He stated before he deployed his winged jet pack. "And this is Quetzalpetlatl, my feathered jet pack." He added.

"That's so cool!" Ruby gushed as she looked at the Dust feathers on the wings.

"How in the world do you use those?" Jaune wondered as he looked at the feathers himself.

"I shoot them." The boy stated.

"How, exactly?" The blond boy asked further.

"Like they're missiles in some cases." The snake boy elaborated. "In other cases, they can be used to boost my speed." He added further.

"My weapon's are these." Fenris said as he took out his swords. "Skoll and Hati, these swords light on fire and have chains that I can swing them with and make them return to me." He explained. "Be it long, mid or close range, no one can escape them." He added.

"I pity the fools who make you angry." Luca chuckled lightly.

"Oh you don't know the half of it." Ruby chuckled as she scratched her guard wolf behind his wolfy ears. Fenris let out a happy sigh as he leaned into her touch, having grown accustomed to it over time.

"So… You two like an item, or you just like scratching people behind the ears?" Jaune asked.

"I-I-It's the latter! But only with Fenris!" Ruby stuttered with a blush as she stopped scratching her friend's ears in embarrassment.

"Could've fooled us." Luca stated as they reached the auditorium, where Yang started waving at Ruby and Fen. "Whoa, who is that?" He said in surprise.

"That would be my sister. Ya know, the one that ditched me." Ruby replied while sending a glare at Yang.

"Oh… Well, let's go meet her." The green eyed boy shrugged as they started walking toward her. As the group approached the blondie, the amply endowed teen was quick to start pestering her sister.

"I can't believe you just left me behind!" The girl snapped.

"What? It turned out alright, didn't it?" Yang said like she hadn't done anything wrong.

"You aren't making yourself look like a good sibling right now." Luca told her.

"Hey!" The brawler crowed.

"It's your fault that I exploded outside of the school!" Ruby snapped.

"Are you being sarcastic?" Yang asked teasingly.

"No she isn't." The white haired snake faunus interjected.

"What he said! I literally ended up tripping on some crabby girl's luggage and got covered in Dust!" Ruby told her sister, unaware that Weiss was right behind her.

"You!" Weiss yelled as Ruby jumped into her sister's arms.

"Ah! It's happening again!" She squeaked as Fenris luckily got between them.

"You are lucky we weren't blown off a cliff!" The whitette ranted, but slowly backed off as Fen growled at her.

"Oh shit, you really exploded." Yang uttered in shock.

"I said I was sorry, what more do you want from me?" The girl stated.

"Yeah, do us all a favor and stop acting like a bitch." The wolf faunus added.

"Wha- how dare you!" Weiss snapped.

"Ugh, this is such a headache." Luca groaned as he held his head.

"Not a big fan of crowds?" Yang asked as she set Ruby down.

"Nope." The faunus replied. It was at this point that their attention was divided by Ozpin stepping onto the stage and calling the students to look at him.

"I'll… Be perfectly frank with you, students. You have all come here to gain knowledge to help you defend the people. But allow me to say this: even if your primary opponent will be the Creatures of Grimm, you will have to learn how to take the lives of those who would threaten the people." He told them. "Human or faunus. You protect them equally, as take their lives equally, and you must understand this. Otherwise you do not belong here."

His words sent a chill up the spines of every student, many of whom weren't expecting to be outright told that they'd have to take lives. Ruby, in particular, was greatly unsettled by the foreboding speech.

"That's… unsettling." She shuddered.

"But unfortunately true." Luca nodded.

"And unavoidable." Fenris added with a shrug.

"... You guys are way sick in the head." Yang stated, unnerved by their nonchalant responses to straight up killing people.

"Blame the way we lived before coming here." The wolf boy shot back, noting that Luca must've had a similar upbringing.

Meanwhile in a warehouse, Torchwick walked in, currently in a foul mood due to the nearly failed heist as he entered a lavishly decorated room where his partner Trivia Vanille, aka Neopolitan laid in bed, sick.

The girl was sick with a really bad case of pneumonia, and the criminal mastermind was very worried for his partner in crime/not-so-secret lover.

"I'll get what you need, honey. That's a promise." He told her, patting her head as she leaned into his touch. "You just rest, I'll need you in your best shape for our next heist." He continued as he turned to a map. "Before the police find us… so maybe." He added as he looked at the paper with an article about the White Fang. "I know just the red herring to give them." He grinned to himself.

Back with the kids, they were all settling in for the night. Luca was setting up his own cott with an Aztec style blanket and a sun pillow, while Fenris was pacing on all fours on a simple blanket that Ruby loaned him. The fabric had her scent all over it, which calmed him, slightly.

"It's like a slumber party!" Yang said as she plopped next to Ruby.

"I don't think dad would approve of the boys except Fenris." Ruby mused as she wrote a letter.

"I know I do, rawr." The blondie purred as she looked at all the guys. Luca was currently changing into his pajamas and allowing her to see the emerald green scales that lined the crease of his back, shoulders, arms and neck before he put on a shirt. Yang had seen all she needed, though. 'Mmmmm… Mamma likes.' She purred inwardly.

"I was really hoping I could at least snuggle with Fen tonight, you know how he has nightmares when he sleeps by himself." The girl sighed as she kept writing.

"Oof. Yeah, that's never fun, hearing him crying like that." The buxom girl winced, recalling the times when she heard Fenris crying. She hated hearing that because it broke her heart. "So… Are you writing the gang at Signal?" She asked.

"Yep." Ruby nodded.

Meanwhile with Luca and Fenris, the snake faunus was busy looking at his picture of him and his adopted sister Cinder, while Fen was trying to get comfortable with his makeshift bed, but without a mattress or his favorite person in it, he was having a hard time getting comfortable.

"Hard time adjusting?" Luca asked the wolf boy as he whimpered in dismay.

"Pretty much, yeah." Fenris replied in a sad tone. He then felt Luca's hand on his shoulder, causing him to flinch and bristle.

"Easy. I… went through something similar. Something that I would rather leave untouched." The snake boy told him, sighing as he remembered a certain incident between him and his sister. "I had an incredibly hard time sleeping for a week at that time. I've got some tricks that could help, if you're willing." He offered.

"Not sure how your situation applies to mine, but… fine?" The lupine faunus said before a banana was set down next to him. This brought his attention to Sun and Neptune who approached them, sleeping bags in hand.

"Hey, mind if we join you two?" Neptune asked.

"Hope you don't mind the banana, but you looked glum so I thought I'd give you one to cheer you up." Sun added, a bundle of the fruit gripped in his tail. He was dressed in a pair of yellow banana republic pajama pants with no shirt.

"Not a fan of bananas, but thanks anyway." Fenris sighed as he took the fruit.

"Eh, to each their own. Name's Sun, by the way." The monkey faunus shrugged before introducing himself as he set down his sleeping bag next to the boy.

"Fenris." The wolf replied as he adjusted his grey 'Big Bad Wolf' pajama pants and his black T-shirt that said 'Ragnarok' on the front.

"Neptune." The blue haired teen greeted as he set up his sleeping bag. He was wearing silk pajamas that were blue.

"Luca." The snake faunus greeted from his cot, dressed in Aztec style pajamas as he looked at his and Cinder's picture.

Back with the girls, Yang and Ruby were talking to Blake, the girl from before, though she was being less than social.

"Yeah, this girl is a lost cause." Yang stated.

"Hey, I'm at least trying!" Ruby retorted with a hiss before turning back to Blake. "What book are you reading?" She asked.

"It's called A Man With Two Souls. It's about a man who has two souls fighting for control of his body." Blake explained.

"I love books, I had Yang read them to me every night. It's why I want to become a Huntress, to be like the heroes in the books." The hooded girl said.

"Yeah… that's a good ambition." Blake agreed with a anal smile before frowning. "But the real world is different from fairy tales, so the end isn't always good." She added.

"Well, that's why we're here. To make it better." Ruby stated. It was then that she saw Fen finally having a good time with his new friends, with Sun giving him a head rub noogie and even letting him sleep on top of his sleeping bag. "Kinda like that." She added, pointing to the scene. Yang and Blake looked at where she was pointing and Yang was a little relieved that Fenris was adjusting okay.

"Phew." She sighed.

"You two must really care about that boy." Blake notes.

"Yeah, we kinda adopted him." Ruby nodded as she looked back at her now peacefully sleeping doggo friend. "He's my best friend." She added.

Blake smiled at this before picking up the candles and blowing them out. Making everything go dark.

Dragon Emperor0: If you guys haven't guessed yet, we based Fenris's personality off of Legoshi from Beaststars. And Luca is similar to Lucoa from Miss Kobiyashi's Dragon Maid, but a more introverted version.

ThermalsniperN7: And if you were wondering about what 'incident' he's referring to that took place between him and Cinder… If you've done your homework on Quetzalcoatl's myths, you should be able to put the pieces together.

Dragon Emperor0: Also, Good news to all you Italian Ice cream shippers, Roman and Neo are indeed lovers here. And no, this isn't a Pedo situation. Neo is canonically 22, Roman is 34 at best. That's about the same as my parents in terms of age difference so, not icky in any way. She's just smol.

ThermalsniperN7: Dwarfism is a thing. Don't forget about it. Anyway, it's past one-thirty on my end and I wanna go to sleep. See you next time!
