The battle in the ghost zone with Dan was horrible. He never would have thought that Dan was powerful enough that he could force the thermos to open. Furthermore, it angered him because he was out of the time stream any futures concerning Dan were out of Clockwork's visions.
Clockwork didn't see it coming when Dan trapped him instead into the thermos. In addition, Dan was clever and manipulative. He transformed into his younger self and tricked Dani to work for him until she too was destroyed. It was too late when he realized his parents were taken into the zone where this time Dan killed them himself. Jazz was clever enough to escape but not without life-threatening injuries.
Dan had managed to steal the ring of rage but continued to a fight with Pariah for the crown and the right to rule the zone.
When Danny heard of this he attempted to go to the zone only to realize that the portal in his basement was destroyed by Dan. It was due to his friend Wulf that the first trip to the zone was to clockworks lair, a place outside the time stream. When Danny opened the thermos Clockwork attacked him out of surprise. Another crack was apparent on his other eye as he stated that Dan was destroying this time stream and if he were to succeed in killing young Danny then a future more ominous would come to happen. Clockwork gifted him two medallions and a hint to go research what his parents' last invention was.
It was only when Danny returned with Sam and Tucker that he was able to take down Dan. Though it was the most heart-wrenching thing to realize that the newest invention of his parents had the potential to stop Dan if they were able to complete it before they were taken into the zone. It was a horrible battle in the ghost zone. Dan had managed to build his own army and fought with piranha. It was when Dan took out the only instrument of clockwork he didn't destroy and used it on him that Pariah Dark was destroyed. Dan had managed to grab the ring and the crown and declared for all ghosts to kill Danny which all ghosts were forced to obey.
It was then that Danny had managed to hit Dan with his parents' newest invention. Though this had help the ending of the battle fell to another person. It was to his surprise that Vlad showed up and delivered the final blow to Dan for murdering Maddie. Vlad had became unstable after the loss of his obsession and died destroying Dan.
Danny returned out of Vlad's portal with Sam and Tucker exhausted. He never expected that he would respect the fruit loop. Together Sam, Danny, and Tucker shut down the only ghost portal in Vlad lab. After the events occurred it became apparent that Danny's sister was unfit to take care of him and therefore he became a ward of the state.
A pair of shiny black heels stopped in front of Danny breaking his thoughts. He looks up to see his social worker looking down with pity in her eyes. She takes a seat on the hard plastic chair next to him.
" I'm so sorry for the tragedy you had to face these past few days Daniel but there are some things you need to know. Vlad Masters has to put in his will for you and your sister to inherit his estate. Jasmine fortune will be used to pay for her medical bills and care. You will get access to this later this month. In addition, there are records that indicate your parents are not you're not biological parents. You were adopted and we were able to contact your biological mother and she was more than willing to accept you into her home. You can choose to go with her or foster care. I'll give you some time to process this and give your answer. "
She handed him the file filled with papers; copies of his birth certificate, adoption papers, among other things, and the social worker then walked away into an office. Danny stared hard at the papers, his dull eyes now sharp. He grabbed the file while flipping over the cover to see his birth mother's name: Selina Kyle and birth father: blank.
Yeah I know that the government doesn't work like that. But this is fiction- enough said. Another sad danny trope? Killed off his parents? Well don't judge yet.
