Chapter 24: Operation Rescuing the Princess Part 2
(Insert: Naruto OST 2 – Confrontment)
The night seemed to drawl on, for Kay (Sasuke) he wasn't into parties, heck only small get-together with his previous friends but after that no. Anyone who invited him, he turned down not because he didn't want to go but because he just couldn't go. People usually say to him that he should get out more; in a way they are right but in other terms, he just doesn't want to he was more a house kid when he was younger but since arriving here that just might change.
Sasuke watches as Hinata is getting sleepy thus leaving for her to put in bed. The adults are talking somewhat, despite his active mind this body was feeling fatigued, it was now or never. He signals to Naruto, the blonde nods, so far no one is paying attention to them, so it made the slip out much easier or so they thought no one was paying attention to them. Hiashi glared at the spot the boys were at, 'What are those two up to?'
He signaled over one of the branch-members his nephew Neji, he bows then looks at his uncle. His face fierce and his commanding tone whispered into his ear, "Find out what is going on with Naruto and Sasuke. Make sure that those two don't do anything in the house."
Neji bowed, "Hai." Off he went, Miki gestured to him, but he waved it off, she held his gaze but returned to her own conversation.
Moments later Neji caught up with the two and hid behind the corner of the hallway listening to their conversation. They had found his cousin's room, what were they doing? Did they not know it was forbidden to be near Hinata-sama without supervision?
"Is everything in place?" Sasuke asks
"Yeah, they won't know what hit him." He smiled, "Though how did you know that it will be Hinata that ninja was going to strike?"
Neji's eyes widen, there was going to be an attack on Hinata? Not if he could help it, marching up to the two anomalies he says in a hush hard tone, "Hey!"
Both children jump at the mere boy's harsh word, they spin fist ready to fly, they both sigh in relief, it was Sasuke who spoke first, "Geez Neji give a guy heart attack."
"What are you two doing! What is happening to Hinata!"
Naruto facepalmed, Sasuke groaned this was not going as planned, how much did he hear? Sasuke puts an arm on Naruto they turn his back to him before they begin to whisper to each other, a couple of glances back at the young boy finally the two looked back at the chestnut-haired boy.
"How much of that did you hear?" Naruto asks
"I heard enough." He states, "So you two better have a good reason to why you are setting up whatever it is you are setting up in Hinata-sama room! Tell me now or else I'll report you to my Hiashi-sama!"
Sasuke was really wished he had Sharingan or at least the evolved form to knock Neji out for the time being so down to persuading the young Hyūga branch member. "Look you may not understand it now and I promise one day I will tell you the real reason, but you have to trust us Neji we are not here to hurt your cousin or pull a prank but Hinata is in danger that why we were in her room."
The pearly white orbs narrowed he may be young, but he wasn't stupid. What were they doing? He had no idea, and he was going to report it to his uncle, "Hmph, do you take me for a fool? I'm telling my uncle."
"Neji wait!" Naruto was about to stop him but Sasuke's ear perked, he grabs his blonde friend by the shoulder, Naruto spins agitated, "What!"
"Listen! Do you hear that?" There was nothing at first and even Neji stopped, then they heard it a movement coming from Hinata room.
Neji could not believe it! The two were correct that Hinata was in danger, but how? The brunette looks at Sasuke, the Uchiha boy quickly mouths and gestures silently, "Neji go! Get Hiashi, GO!"
He nods quickly runs with his feet barely touching the floor, Naruto and Sasuke open the door silently as they could, now was the moment of truth. Will the trap work?
(Naruto: Bad Situation)
Meanwhile, Neji burst through the door frantically looking for his uncle, he runs into his father, "Neji, what got you in a panic?"
"Father, it's Hinata she's in danger!"
Hizashi blinks owlishly, Hinata in trouble? "Neji are you certain? With our patrol, no one should be able to breach the Hyūga estate..."
"There is an intruder in Hinata-sama room!" He yells, with that the entire party freezes even if it were for a moment, you could hear a pin drop. Then chaos ensued, everyone was in full panic mode scrambling to get to the young heiress room.
Hiashi was barking orders for some of the branch members to go outside should the intruder try to pull a fast one, Miki was the first to sprint to her daughter room. Kushina and Mikoto raced outside, they could not find Naruto or Sasuke inside, so it was a safe best bet to know that those two knew something was up. By the time Miki got there, she saw the signs of destruction and paint all over Hinata's room then she looks down the floor. Feet covered in paint, whoever did this mess knew Hinata was going to be in danger.
Her Byakugan activates she looks and lo behold footprints racing behind four pair of smaller footprints, she hurries off following the paint. She was in full panic mode, thinking who would want to kidnap her only daughter? For what reason?
Miki quickly follows the trail in the woods, she scans the area no sooner did she do that she finds the sons of her two best friends cornered.
Not on her watch!
She sprints but something else caught her attention there seemed to be a lizard of some sort in between the assailant and the children.
She got nearer, she heard the voice of the attacker, "I won't say it again kid, give me the Hyūga girl and I'll pretend this little incident never happened!"
"Over my dead body!" Sasuke voice says
The man growls, the mission was turning into a disaster! First, a couple of kids got the jump on him! A man who is a Jōnin is being outwitted by a bunch of brats! Second, the place where the Hyūga girl room was rigged with booby traps which caused him to be soaked with paint and a big frying pan to the face, did Konoha know that this was a farce? "Alright kid, I gave you a chance now die!"
"Hakke Kūshō!" The blast knocked the man back a few yards before the kunai plunged, Miki got in front of the children, "Are you alright! Where is Hinata?"
Naruto and Sasuke dumbly nodded their heads as they moved aside to find Hinata behind the two boys on the ground shaken but unharmed. Miki turns to the attacker. She gasps as she realizes who it is behind the mask, then growls, "Kumogakure send their head ninja to try to steal the secrets of the Byakugan! So the treaty with Konoha was nothing more than farce!"
The man wipes blood from his mouth, "Heh, I ain't confirming nor am I denying."
"The truth will come out eventually." The bluenette replied getting into her Jūkenhō stance.
The man gulped, he knew that the Gentle Fist is the most reputable and fearsome taijutsu style known in all Konohagakure. The Hyūga's are close-quarter combatant, Gentle Fist practitioners have a disadvantage against long-range fighters, and unfortunately, he did not much long-range jutsu, but he did have weapons and he had to do is keep his distance while trying to figure out a way to escape.
Miki was set on letting this fool have it while she hadn't gone on a mission for nearly 6 years her skill, she knows hasn't rusted at all, she didn't care for violence, yet she trained hard, but she chose love over her ninja career and never looked back. Now she was a fierce mama bear looking out for the cubs.
Meanwhile, Sasuke and Naruto were in the middle of trying to help this woman. They are contemplating what to do yet they did not want to give themselves away. Noor did they want to give info about how they knew that Hinata was being abducted when this was said and done. The small girl was crying while Sasuke was contemplating to do something, Naruto tried to console her.
Sasuke took a breath he was shaking; his nerves getting the better of him. He willed himself to calm down before he stepped to the side. The young man-child stepped out the line of vision, the adults locked onto each other while the lizard was curiously looking at him. He is muttering something under his breath as he began slowly to go through the hand movements of the fireball jutsu.
"Okay focus…" He knew he was working on not just the fireball but his stamina as well the second time he fainted even after 3 months of training he still could not get over passing out from releasing two blue fireballs, they literally leave him winded. HORSESERPENT RAMMONKEYBOARHORSE…he pauses at horse allowing the feeling of the chakra to pulse. At this age of 4, he could only do one massive fireball and if he pushed himself, he could, technically do two but he was wisely told not to until he was much older and his body to be much more mature.
The glow begins dimly then it starts pulsing, Naruto blinks in surprise understands what his friend was doing. He quietly stands next to Sasuke as he glows brighter and brighter. Naruto begins his own series of hand jutsu OX TIGER RABBIT BIRD and inhales deeply.
The man who was weary of the woman in front despite that one glance at the light that was next to the woman caught him by surprise as it glowed brightly as the seconds went by.
"What the…"
That was all he could say as a massive blue fireball sped in his direction and it seemed to increase in size and power. Soon everything was engulfed resulting in the surrounding area to be incinerated. The explosion rocked the area causing more animals to flee.
Miki's eyes were the size of plates she looked to her left, Sasuke was on his knees panting hard next to him Naruto was slightly winded, 'Those two…did this?' Miki stared intently at the two then focuses on the body of the nin…
POOF!
She gasps it was a substitution! The man was mad as a hornet with kunai in hand, he flung another weapon at the young girl. Miki had no choice but to stop the kunai from hitting her daughter thus leaving the two boys defenseless. If only they had stayed behind her, what were they thinking!
The man soon raced to them quickly, "DIE!"
Naruto and Sasuke were a bit stunned more Sasuke than Naruto since he was used to life and death situations. He thrust up his hands as the dagger plunged.
Miki screamed as the kunai went into her right shoulder.
'This is not going to end like this!'
The birds cawed away there was an eerie silence. Yet the blow never came, Sasuke racing heart started to calm as he opened his eyes, the man was struggling he could hear. When he got on his knees, he saw the man caught in the branches of the trees, he saw Naruto standing frozen in place.
He stands to his feet still shaking when he got a whiff of iron, it was blood!
"Naruto are you okay?" He asks
"Just fine." The young boy replies though with some pain that was notable in his voice
Shouts were heard in the distance signaling that reinforcement was coming, the man knew that the mission was a failure for Kumo. The secrets of the Byakugan are now lost to them. When the Raikage hears of this he will have his head…or will he? The man was now surrounded by Konoha-nin mostly consisting of Hyūga, two branch members attend to Miki and Hinata while Hiashi confronts the masked ninja.
Kushina and Mikoto rushed towards their respective sons inspecting them to make sure they are well. Sasuke saw a bit of concern in her eyes even if it was for a moment despite her hatred for him, she still cared deep down he just needed to exploit that, but she wasn't making it easy for him as she stands him up. Sasuke is still panting from that fireball.
"Naruto your hurt!" Kushina quickly rips her sleeve from her kimono, wrapping it around his head.
"Ka-san I'm fine, it's just a scratch beside we're fine, right Sasuke."
"Don't you ever do something like that crazy young man!" She yells as he was bonk on the head by his mother's fist of love, "Baka! That's not the point. This man is a dangerous ninja and…and…an…ugh…where is this guy from anyway."
"It appears he is the ambassador for Kumogakure, the very same one who signed the peace treaty between our two villages." Hiashi states as those around him gasp
Kushina smirks, "Well, it looks likes Lady Hokage is going to have a field day when she finds out."
(Naruto OST- Alone)
Moments later out of the blue ANBU Ninjas come out from their hiding spots taking the prisoner away, after that fiasco, Hiashi turns to the boys addressing them, "You two boys protected Hinata?"
"Hai!"
Hiashi pauses his firm gaze sets on the two they gave nothing away. "Hmph, you have my gratitude and the main house greatly appreciates your efforts."
"Does this mean we can visit Hinata?" Ask Naruto innocently as he could
"…" Hiashi's jaw tighten, if Naruto was anything like his mother, he would definitely a troublemaker, the Uchiha boy was a bit harder to read his face serious looking like Fugaku yet he could tell if the invitation extended to him as well.
A hand is on his shoulders Miki smiles, "I don't see why not. You two boys however need to explain how you knew because Neji came racing into the room or how Naruto was able to do the Mokuton."
Gasps went all around, the Hyūga's were astonished, this young lad had the ability of the Shodai? The wood release hasn't been seen in generations; the respect of this young man increased greatly. Yet they were wary of his behavior should he prove anything like Kushina.
Naruto sheepishly scratches his head trying to come up with an answer. Sasuke spoke up quickly, "We didn't, we heard a noise coming from the ceiling and thought it was trouble, so we decided to set up in Hinata room." Sasuke then grinned sheepishly, "Though I think we would have to repair and clean her room it's kind of torn up. I told Naruto to bring supplies to pull a prank later today. To answer the second question Naruto unlocked the wood release in Suna."
Naruto frowned, he didn't want to be a partaker of cleaning up, he had enough of that thank you very much!
Hiashi and the rest of Hyūga's cringed Kushina's last prank was still fresh in their minds, her prank of itching powder combined with spicy meals did not sit well with them. Kushina had to hold back a snicker; like mother like son, it appears that Naruto was exactly like her.
Mikoto sighs this may not be her son but come on! One prankster was bad enough but two or worse three? That's where she draws the line, "Hiashi-sama, I do believe it is time to retire after all the excitement…"
RAARGGHHH!
The ninjas jumped to find the baby mini leviathan opening and closing its mouth, its growls and roars lightly. Mikoto did a very un-Uchiha-like thing…she fainted.
Sasuke still had no idea where Baby Godzilla came from. Was this what Godzilla was talking about when he said too aware of his surroundings? Was there more to his abilities than meets the eye? Time will only tell; he still has not mastered the art of being able to communicate with his beast something he'll need to ask of Naruto shortly.
Speaking of him, the raven-haired lad wonders if he has spoken to the nine-tails, 'I suppose I could ask him later.'
Kushina helps up her friend who was coming around, the attack of the leviathan has everyone on guard, yet the baby walks up to the young Uchiha. Sasuke looks at the yellow eyes of the baby Godzillasaurus, the two stare at each other. Mikoto wakes in time to see the lizard cooing and growling while nuzzling Sasuke.
Everyone breathed yet were still tense, Sasuke pats the head of the Godzilla while Naruto climbs on its back, Sasuke then ask with a smile, "Can we keep him?"
The deep underground of Konoha
Danzo was stroking his chin, he re-read the report of Naruto Uzumaki unlocking the wood style, a technique not seen since the First Hokage. This is indeed an interesting development, he could fine-tune the boy to be the ultimate weapon of Konoha, loyal but definitely a fierce weapon however Tsunade favors the boy thus leading them into dispute, he'll have to find a different way.
Then there was the Uchiha according to his spies Sasuke glows before unleashing a great fireball that comes out blue. According to his source, Fugaku has named his son Aoi honō no Sasuke. A fitting nickname for someone who is in the academy, on the other hand, must be investigated, he also read reports of Orochimaru capturing three more beasts. With Monarch as well as housing a smaller version of the mysterious leviathan it would be of utmost importance to tame such a beast thus making the Leaf the strongest of all the 5 nations.
However, Colonel Foster amongst others is extremely cautious among them. Danzō frowns, these people from another dimension are not fools, to put it mildly, they know who to trust or who not to trust and they answer directly to the Hokage. Their information is invaluable they have been monitoring these creatures like Gojira for years and within three months reports came back around the ninja world that more beasts were showing up. Where did they come from? They had no clue, for now, he will let the pieces fall into place with the two boys, things were started to get interesting perhaps he could train them if he could get his hands on either one.
"You are dismissed and if anything, new develop let me know." He speaks. The ROOT ninja bows to his master then leave in a puff of smoke, "Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto…I will make you mine."
(Naruto's Daily Life)
The following morning at school the girls squealed as both friends entered the school. Kushina and Mikoto had to bite their tongues as the two youngest members were bombarded by squealing fangirls, they pleaded for help, but they were denied. The day they entered the school mostly the girls were divided into two camps one was called the Naruto fan club while the other Sasuke fan club.
Sasuke in the plane grins madly, "Yes, yes! FEEL MY PAIN OF FANGIRLS!"
"Calm down Sasuke." Fate bonks him on the head
It was every day for the last three months, at least they knew what a pain in the rear-end Sasuke fangirl club was. Going through the ordeal was very unpleasant, they always wanted to touch their faces, caress their cheeks which caused some of the older boys to be jealous of the smaller boys half their age.
They finally break free of their captors they both run for their lives with the girls chasing them around the schoolyard like a pack of wolves hunting.
Kushina asks, "Should we help them?"
A dust cloud was seen as the boys ran just barely staying ahead of the rabid girls. Mikoto watches in amusement, "Nah, let the girls have their fun, they do need to work on their stamina after all."
"You are evil Mikoto."
"Tell me you wouldn't do the same?"
"Touché."
The two friends leave the premises, ignoring the screams of both anomalies.
Finally, they were able to give the girls the slip by hiding in the closet of their assigned classroom. The girls soon followed inside looking for them.
"I think they went in here!" One speaks
"Don't those two-look adorable! I want to pinch their cheeks, Naruto with his little whiskers and Sasuke for being so cute!" Another squeal
On this the other girls can agree, Sasuke and Naruto do the best they can without making a sound as they hear the girls rummaging through the class. It was another 10 minutes; the girls were getting agitated in trying to find them.
"Darn it where did they go!"
"Come, Ami, let us go before we get into trouble."
The girls leave and once they do the closet door opens revealing a relieved Naruto. "Man, I am never taking my future girlfriend for granted again."
"Hm…"
Sasuke sighs as they take their seats, always the teachers pet Sasuke opens his bag filled with scrolls and reads his notes. Naruto takes out his scroll where Sasuke is teaching Naruto how to write in the foreign language of English. They've been doing this for a little while whenever they get a chance, but they must do it discreetly.
"How is your English coming along?"
"I'm getting there but it's so confusing how can one word equal so many different things!"
"Trust me, English is a complex challenging language you'll ever have to run into. But it is not the only contender for the world's most difficult language where I come from. Other notoriously tricky languages include Finnish, Russian, Japanese, and Mandarin-Chinese, and do not get me started on Arabic or Hebrew."
Naruto nods his head sagely, "So, mission accomplished?"
Sasuke blinks
"Hinata, hello!"
"Oh, I suppose but we still have to meet up with Hiashi to fix up Hinata's room after the academy, maybe we can take the time to bond with both, Hyūgas' children. Hinata could really use the boost in confidence. Now that Hizashi is still alive I think Neji is going to be much more friendly this time." Sasuke says, "Do you think we'll run into the others?"
Naruto scratches his head, "If we don't seek them out, we might see them at the academy."
"But by the time we're done with the academy, we might be in a three-man squad. Possibility of it being Kakashi are slim to none."
Naruto foxy grin widens, "I have ways of making Tsunade-baachan yielding to my whim. She can't resist."
"Hmph, I bet you are going to use that reverse sexy jutsu."
Naruto cackles with laughter, "You know me too well. If the Hokage or any type of man is the biggest closet perverts then that means girls are…if not… just as bad as the guys."
Sasuke shakes his head in amusement, "Next operation steal the forbidden scroll!"
"By the way, I see you are getting close with Tenten." Naruto teases making kissing sound effects
Sasuke turns three shades of red, it was like mirroring Hinata, "Shut up! At least I can admit I like Tenten, unlike you blockheaded dunce! Besides, she is only 6 we're not at that age yet!"
Naruto laughs at his friend who still red like a tomato, it was true Sasuke muses, that over the last three months he's gotten close with Tenten as friends, recently he hasn't been able to visit her thanks to his training, but he did try to visit her workshop once a week whenever he could.
Iruka then walks in to find his only two students in the class. He looks to find Sasuke blushing red while Naruto is teasing him. Iruka smirks the last three months have been interesting with these two, they are rivals to push themselves but friends as well.
"Good morning you two. Let us get started."
Hokage tower meeting room
(Naruto Ost 2-Confrontment)
Tsunade was livid, after breaking the Kumo head ninja the last few hours, she began writing a letter of recompense to the Raikage. In this letter, they have undisputed proof that the treaty between the village was a farce so, to make up for this transgression, she offers them an ultimatum. In exchange for the life of the head ninja of Kumo, they will send over from one of their noble clans when of age or when a genin to Konoha as a political marriage and alliance for a more permeant cease-fire and a truce between the two villages…
"…Failure to comply will result in grave consequences. Choose wisely." She put down the letter her gaze looking at the elders of the village as well as Hiashi. "Well?"
Danzo nods his head in approval, "Good, this will make the Raikage think twice before they pull another stunt like that. Plus, this could also be to our advantage another rare bloodline to add to our growing number."
An eyebrow twitched, "Is that all you can think about Danzō?"
"Now, now let us not fight amongst ourselves we have a letter to deliver to the Raikage," Homura says to ease the tension
"Hiashi are you willing to take up a political marriage should they choose?" The blonde woman asks
"No, this transgression will not be overlooked. If they do propose political marriage with the Hyūga clan it is flat out no," Hiashi says firmly, his voice is final.
Tsunade motions for one ANBU, she signs the scrolls and hands it over to the masked ninja. She nods then vanishes in a puff of smoke. "Now that out of the way, it's for an emergency meeting with all the clan's head, there is something I would like to discuss."
LXD: Second update, alright I'm going to be honest I feel like this story is dying at least Arc 1 is and I haven't seen some of the older reviewers come back and having over 96 reviews is nothing to scoff at either but you guys are making work for that 100 reviews aren't you? Sighs, what are you gonna do? -_(o_o)_- Anyway, 6 chapters left and I'm done with Arc 1 of the Kaiju Jailor, please leave a comment, rate the story, fav or subscribe and I'll see you next chapter.
