Picking up David and T'chala, they all went on their way going to the institute. Ororo was so happy to finally see her Father again that she wanted everyone to know, and she wanted him to meet everyone who she was happy to call family, or extended family I guess. Jessie was in the back beaming joyfully that she got to see her Grandpa again, he and T'chala kept her entertained while her parents drove.
They arrived at the mansion about ten minutes later, David looked out the window seeing the size of the place.
"This is the Xavier institute?"
"Yes." Ororo said simply in reply, Jessica jumped up happily.
"Uncle Charly's Castle!" She said exuberantly as she looked out the window and bobbed her feet up and down in her car seat. Ororo laughed joyfully at her daughter's statement.
"It is a castle isn't it." She said looking back to her from the passenger seat next to Logan, the little girl giggled in response.
They pulled into the parking lot, then getting out. Ororo was about to say something but was caught off guard when she heard a happy voice greeting her. Looking to her side she saw Kitty joyfully bounding over to them wearing a comfortable dress .
"Ororo!" She said hugging her friend, Ororo smiled into her hair as she hugged back, she let go a moment later then went to Logan giving him a hug.
"Hey Kit-Kat." He said hugging her back.
"Hey Jessie!" Kitty said, the little one ran toward her, she bent down picking her up and hugging her, then giving her a kiss on the side of her head.
"Kitty." Ororo called to the girl who came around the side of their car still holding the small girl in her arms.
"I'd like you to meet My Father, David Munroe, and my friend T'chala." She said happily, Smiled to him happy extending her hand to shake his.
"I'm really happy to finally meet you Mr. Monroe, and King T'chala." She said excited to them. David smiled to her shaking her hand,
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Kitty." T'chala said in return to her, she gave him a delighted smile.
"Kitty." Ororo called to her, she turned to face her.
"Would you please inform the others that we've arrived."
"Of course, Ororo." Kitty said happily then fast walked back to the doors of the institute.
Scott and Kurt were talking about some boy things when Kitty came through the doors announcing,
"Hey, they're here!" She said loudly getting everyone's attention.
Scott and Kurt postponed their little conversation till later, and everyone else got on their best behavior. A minute later the others stepped into the mansion. Ororo introduced her Father and friend to everyone gladly, and they were all very happy to meet them. They all stayed there for the rest of the day. Everyone was overjoyed about meeting Ororo's Father for the first time, and meeting T'chala was an added bonus to that.
Meanwhile Jessie happily frolicked around her parents and friends, doing her best to keep occupied with things that she liked. The Professor had arranged for a special dinner there at the institute in honor of King T'chala's presence. At the end of the night many of the students couldn't go to sleep because of all the excitement… though that didn't apply to little Jessie, she was asleep right after dinner. Since her Mom was busy with the two men, her Dad took the responsibility of putting her to bed.
While taking her up to the room he thought about the significance of the day, but he also couldn't help a feeling of uneasiness about something. He knew exactly who that something was, it was T'chala… Though he'd normally just go confront someone about something to their face whenever he liked without recourse, he knew that this night was special to his wife.
'Man… has she tamed me that much?' He asked himself, realizing the difference between now and a couple years ago. He was actually letting someone off (for a little bit anyway) rather than just going up front about it.
Putting her to bed upstairs he exited the room quietly and went down the stairs to rejoin the others. While getting to the bottom of the staircase he saw Jamie showing David a puppy he got for his birthday, it was a cute little black and white basenji about 5 weeks old. David smiled wide as he was offered to hold the little pup and then did so. He pet it as he talked to the boy, for some reason that he couldn't exactly pin point that reminded Logan of something in his past… but he wasn't sure what it was or why he was remembering, he shrugged it off and went to rejoin his mate and friends.
Ororo was standing talking to T'chala and the Professor, she was so caught up in their conversation that it surprised her when she received a side hug from her husband.
"You startled me." She said looking to him,
"All the more to impress you my dear." He replied smirking, she had to laugh at his response. T'chala looked at Logan giving him a 'why'd you do that?' look. In a response he turned his face and kissed her cheek pulling away two seconds later. The Professor looked away for a moment while this display of affection was in performance, while the other man kept his eyes on them.
When they'd finished she looked to him,
"How's Jessie?"
"Sound asleep." Ororo smiled at the report of how her daughter was resting.
Ororo turned her attention back to the two men in front of her and they resumed their conversation.
Ok it has been inexcusably long for me to come and update this story, I'm sorry about the wait that you've had to put up with, I promise I'll add the next cahpter a lot sooner than I added this one.
PS. I'm planning on rearranging my format of this story to the same format that this chapter is in, seems to make it easier to read. If anyone has complaints about that feel free to pm me.
