Hello everyone, I welcome you to the reboot of my first story. If you are already familiar with my other works, welcome back. I know it has been a while and I hope you enjoy this reboot of Ajax Nobody.

Prologue: Baby in a Box

It was a dark and stormy night outside the gates of a large house. A bolt of lightning lit up the night sky showing a sign that read 'Wheelbarrow Orphanage.' A figure hidden within a cloak comes to the front door of the orphanage. The figure knocks on the door and flees before the door can open.

The door opens to a woman in her mid-twenties, pale blue eyes, brown hair, and slightly tanned skin. She looks around the entryway and sees nothing. She goes to close the door but hears a baby's cry. The woman opens the door back up and sees a baby wrapped inside a blanket within a box on the front porch.

"OH! You poor thing," said the woman as she picks up the baby. She takes the baby inside and works to dry and warm the baby as it cries. During this, the woman finds out the baby is a boy. She wraps him in a new blanket and cradles him gently. "Shhhh. Shhh. It's okay," said the woman.

The baby coos in the woman's arms until he falls asleep. The woman sighs before looking at the box he was in. The side read 'Ajax Moving Co.' "Ajax. That's a good name. You are going to be Ajax. Don't worry, we'll find you are good home in no time."

Nearly sixteen years later…

Ajax Nobody Season 1 Episode 1

Ajax: Misfit Orphan

Present-day, things have changed. Ajax grew up to be a young man. He has fire red hair, his left eye green, and his right eye grey, a freckled face. He wears an orange shirt, a brown leather jacket, blue jeans, sneakers, a fedora, and a backpack that looks like it had many owners.

He was walking to school today. Along the way, a cocker spaniel wearing a harness ran up to Ajax's side and gave a happy bark.

"Hi Sophia," said Ajax with an Irish-sounding voice. "How are you doing?" Sophia barked. "Good to hear," said Ajax.

They walk together through the town of Wheelbarrow, a small town that was filled with people. The town was alive with everyday life. The bakery baking pastries and sweets, the meat shop cutting meat, and all sorts of stuff. Things were peaceful though there were still problems as any town has issues. They worry about what's going on in the world, but they are thankful for what they have.

Ajax arrives at school. It was a one-story building that needed a few repairs here and there. Still, it was a decent school, Ajax made good grades and the teachers were good at their jobs. There were still some parts Ajax didn't like.

In the doorway of the school, stood a stocky eighteen-year-old with light brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a letterman jacket with a red shirt and blue jeans.

"Oh no," groaned Ajax.

"Hey Box Boy," said the teen.

"Tristan, I have a name you know," said Ajax.

"Right, it's Nobody. Why that name? Is it because you are abandoned trash? Or because nobody wants you? Or nobody gives a damn about you? Either way, you're still fun to push around," said Tristan.

Several of Tristan's teammates come out and surround Ajax. Two cheerleaders hang onto Tristan's arms.
"Guys, please. Can't we just get to class?" pleaded Ajax.

"Let's see. What are we gonna do with him today, eh?" asked Tristan.

Ajax looks for a way to escape as Sophia growls at the football players. The bullies get ready to attack Ajax. Ajax runs but is quickly caught by two bigger guys. Ajax struggles as the others grab his legs and pull him. Ajax grits his teeth in pain. Sophia bites one of them in the leg but is quickly kicked away.

"LET ME GO!" yelled Ajax.

"Not a chance. Besides, what are you going to do now?" mocked Tristan.

"I at least know what you are going to do. You are going to set him down before I take you into juvie and have a long talk with each of your parents," said a voice that made the bullies' spines run cold. They turn and look to see a man in his late thirties, with a mustache that covered his entire upper lip, a deputy's uniform, blue eyes, brown hair, farmer's tan, and a name badge that read 'Courtwright.'

Tristan frowned before backing away from Ajax. "Uh… Sorry, deputy. We were just having fun with our buddy Ajax. Isn't that right guys?"
"Tristan, I saw the whole thing. Put him down. Now," said Deputy Courtwright. Tristan's friends put Ajax down and they walked away. "Mayor's kid or not, you still have to obey the law."
"Of course, just doing your job. Right deputy?" said Tristan.

"Now all of you, to class," said Courtwright in the tone parents use to scold their child. Tristan and his team went inside the school as Courtwright helped Ajax up. "You ok?"

"Yeah," said Ajax in barely a whisper.

"If those guys threaten you or harm you again, come see me. Ok?" asked Courtwright.

"Don't bother. I can handle it myself," said Ajax.

"Sure you can. But listen if you ever need help. Any at all or just need to talk. My door is always open," said Courtwright.

"Ok," said Ajax.

Courtwright smiles as a teenager about Ajax's age passes by. She was two inches above Ajax's height, blue-green eyes, blonde hair, a purple shirt with a light pink jacket, and blue jeans. "Bye dad," said the girl.

"See you after work, sweetie. Be good," said Courtwright as the girl went in.

Ajax picked himself up and went inside. Courtwright sat at a nearby bench and watched over the area. Sophia sat down next to the bench.
"You are one good girl Sophia," said Courtwright as he draped an arm over the bench arm to pet Sophia only for the dog to lay down out of the deputy's reach. "Why do you keep doing that?' Sophia grunts as she lays there.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Ajax walks down the halls of the school and passes by lots of students. He soon arrives at his locker and opens it, grabbing the books he needs. He hears a noise to his left, like someone is laying on the lockers. Ajax looks and sees the girl that Deputy Courtwright was talking with.

"Hey Ajax," said the girl.

"Hey Debra," answered Ajax.

"You ok?" asked Debra.

"I'm fine. Just Tristan being Tristan," answered Ajax.

"You shouldn't let him get away with this. You should use that pepper spray you carry. That will teach him," suggested Debra.

"What good would it do? He's just going to beat me up more later. If I avoid him, then he won't hurt me," answered Ajax.

"Ajax," said Debra.

Ajax closes his locker. "See ya later," said Ajax.

"See ya," said Debra as they separated to get to class.

Ajax goes to his class and sits at a desk in the front row. He reaches into his bag and gets out a glasses case. He opens it and gets a pair of oval glasses and puts them on before getting his folder out.

The teacher comes in. "Alright everyone, get ready for class."

The school day passed by pretty much as usual. Boring classes, bland lunch, and getting homework. But afterward, many students went to Pap's. Ajax left school and headed towards Pap's. He passes by Courtwright and Sophia. Sophia gets up and goes along with Ajax.

"Hey girl," said Ajax in a barely happy tone. Sophia barked at Ajax, which makes him smile just a bit.

"Have a good evening, Ajax," said Courtwright.

"See you tomorrow," said Ajax as he and Sophia went to Pap's.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

They walk down Main Street of Wheelbarrow and find a place called Pap's. Ajax enter the place, inside looked like a soda shop from the 50s that got updated over time. The ceiling was lined with LED lights; the booths and tables have purple and blue sparkling cushions; the floor is black and white checkerboard. Ajax saw many of his classmates there. Pap's was a place where students can hang out, work on homework, and enjoy some drinks and snacks.

Ajax went to the bar counter and sees an old man with black-greying hair, glasses with kind eyes behind them, farmer's tan, a big gut, six feet tall.

"Hey Pap," said Ajax.

"Hello, Ajax. What can I get you today?" asked Pap.

"Lemon-lime soda please," answered Ajax.

"Coming right up," said Pap. He grabbed a big glass and poured lemon-lime soda into it. Once filled he gives it to Ajax.

"Thanks," said Ajax as he slowly drinks it.

"Everything ok?" asked Pap.

"Yeah," answered Ajax.

"Ajax, I know what something is wrong. What happened?" asked Pap.

"Tristen and his pals tried to beat me up again. Deputy Courtwright stopped them before they could today," answered Ajax.
"As a good officer should," said Pap as he sighs. "Tristan is getting too big for his britches."

"Yeah, but everyone lets him get away with it cause he's the football star and I'm the freaky orphan with mismatched eyes," said Ajax.

"Hey, look at me. Tristan is just a jock and a bully. A spoiled brat because he's the mayor's kid. Now you, you're special. You're one of the smartest kids in your class. You have a future, Tristan doesn't outside of brown-nosing to other rich folks," assured Pap.

"Brains don't do a whole lot against someone as big as Tristan," said Ajax.

"Hey, if you can't outfight em, out clever them," said Pap.

"What do you mean?" asked Ajax.

"Use those brains to make your foe slip up. Make them angry, use unconventional weapons. Back when I was in the army, I took out many an enemy soldier with a well-placed shovel hit when I didn't have enough bullets. You got brains but you need to be clever," said Pap.

"Clever…. huh. Maybe I can give it a try," said Ajax.

"Good on you Ajax. You never know how being clever can get you places. Take me selling soda at the football games. The town saves a little money and I get more exposure," said Pap. Ajax nods.

"Tristan is good at football and being a team player but he's a jerk. Don't let him get you down. Now enjoy the soda," said Pap as he walks away to help more customers.

Ajax sits there drinking the soda and thinks. He's still sad but the talk helped. He looked at his reflection in the glass and sees his two eyes, one green, one grey. In his mind, he remembers various names kids would call him, like 'Mismatch.'

Ajax saw Pap back cleaning some mugs. "Pap, is there more to life? You know outside of Wheelbarrow?" asked Ajax.

"Yeah, there is. Once you get older, you can leave this place, find a job and live a wonderful life," answered Pap. Ajax smiles a little and he goes back to drinking his soda.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Sometime later, Ajax left Pap's and started to make his way home. Sophia walked by him. Ajax was almost out of Main Street until he heard a voice.

"Hello Box Boy," said Tristan. "Figured I'd find you walking down this way."

"You think?" asked Ajax trying to sound tough but was clearly scared.

"I can do more than that. Now then, to business. We never got to finish playtime earlier. Now then boys," Tristan's fellow players came out. "What shall we do?"

"Dumpster dive!" yelled the players.

"Dumpster dive it is. And luckily, we have a dumpster nearby," said Tristan as he shows a dumpster. "Grab him."

The players grab Ajax, the young man struggles as Sophia barks at them. Tristan opens the dumpster.

"NO! Please no! Can't we talk about this?" pleaded Ajax.

"Sorry, I don't make it a habit of talking to trash," answers Tristan as his team toss Ajax into the dumpster.

"Aaahhh!" screamed Ajax as they slam the dumpster lid on him. They run away before they get caught. Sophia sniffs the dumpster and barks. The lid opens and Ajax crawls out of it. He falls to the ground, wiping some of the trash off him. "Come on Sophia. Let's go home," said Ajax sadly as he walked back to the orphanage.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Ajax soon got to a gate; he passed an old sign that read 'Wheelbarrow Orphanage.'

"Huh, she finally throwing that out," commented Ajax.

The orphanage officially closed years ago after the original owner died. She left the place to a woman called Zadie Angelo or Ms. Angelo and she turned it into a foster home. She works hard to provide for the kids under her care. She runs the town daycare, and every family comes to her to watch over their kids.

Ajax goes up to the steps to the front door. The same steps he was found on. Ajax pulled out his key and unlocked the front door and entered, Sophia following behind. He could see the living room, the stairs to the upper floor, the dining room, and part of the kitchen. A girl a few years younger than Ajax was setting the table for dinner.

She sees Ajax. "Ms. Angelo, Ajax is back and covered in garbage again," said the girl.

"Oh. Hang on!" said a woman as she was trying to make dinner. "Kevin, watch the food."

"Sure," said a boy's voice.

A woman soon came out, she had aged a bit, but she still looked the same as when she found Ajax. Pale blue eyes, brown hair, lightly tanned skin for working outside for so long. She wore a simple white shirt, a green plaid button-up shirt, and blue jeans.

"Ajax, what happened?" asked Ms. Angelo.

"Tristan and his team," answered Ajax.

"Oh. Not again. Wash up Ajax. We can talk about this later, I need to make dinner for everyone," said Ms. Angelo.
"I understand. I'll be right back," said Ajax as he heads upstairs. He took a shower and got dressed up in pajamas. He went back downstairs and saw dinner being brought to the table.

"Ajax, can you get the boys to stop playing the game and get them to the table?" requested Ms. Angelo.

"Sure thing," said Ajax.

"Thank you," said Ms. Angelo.

Ajax goes to the living room and sees three boys playing games in front of a CTR TV. Ajax can see a Super Nintendo and a PS2 set up for the tv. Next to the TV is a St. Bernard laying on a bed. The St. Bernard's name tag reads 'Little John.'

"Ok guys, dinner time. Time to stop," said Ajax.

"Aww," said two of the boys. One was ten years old with brown hair and blue eyes. The second boy is eight years old, of Chinese descent with black hair and brown eyes. The third boy wasn't looking at Ajax, he is seven, African American, with hazel eyes.

"We are at the last boss," said the ten-year-old.

"Come on Tommy. Bowser will still be there when you have some dinner in you," said Ajax.

"Awww," whined Tommy.

"I still haven't had a turn," complained the eight-year-old.

"Then after Tommy beats the final boss, you can have game time. That good Cole?" asked Ajax.

"Yeah fine," replied Cole but not happy with the answer.

"Come on, pause and let's eat," said Ajax. The boys do so, this causes the seven-year-old to look around. The boy sees Ajax. Ajax waves and makes a series of hand gestures. The boy nods and gets up to head to the dining room, Little John gets up and follows the boy. Ajax turns off the tv and heads to the dining room.

In the dining room, Tommy and Cole take a seat. The last little boy takes a seat with Little John lying beside him. Ajax sees two girls, and two more boys helping Ms. Angelo set the table.

One of the boys is twelve years old with black hair and brown eyes, more south American descent but we couldn't pinpoint where exactly, his name is Hugh.

The second boy is fifteen years old with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. "I got the plates," said the young man with a French accent. They still have no idea how he got the accent. His name is Kevin.

"I got the cutlery," said a thirteen-year-old girl with a Scottish accent, red hair, freckles, and green-blue eyes.

"Thanks, Rosa. I'll get the food," said a seventeen-year-old young woman with a Russian accent, brown curly hair with blue streaks, and grey eyes.

"Thank you, Kimberly," said Ms. Angelo.

"No problem," answered Kimberly.

They get the table set up with food, silverware, napkins, salt, and pepper. Their dinner is spaghetti in cheese sauce with bacon bits, peas, carrots, broccoli, and tomatoes. There's also salad and bread.

"This looks good," said Kevin.

"Thanks. We had some extra money and we thought we have a special dinner tonight. Tomorrow it is sandwiches," said Ms. Angelo.

"We had that last night," complained Hugh.

"Every penny saved counts. Besides, it allowed us to attend the camping trip this weekend," said Ms. Angelo. "Everyone excited for that?" The kids nod except for Zach. Kevin translates for Zach using ASL and Zach smiles. "So, everyone needs to pack tonight for three days of camping fun!" The smaller kids are excited, but the teenagers were somewhat excited.

Everyone ate dinner while talking about their days. "So, Tristan throws you in a dumpster again?" asked Kimberly.

"Yeah. You think he would get a new playbook," responded Ajax.

"Why? The team has been using the same playbook for tossing a football for 50 years," said Kevin. This made everyone laugh.

"It is still an issue. We need to talk with the mayor," said Ms. Angelo.

"You think his dad can make him stop?" asked Cole.

"Fat chance. The Mayor doesn't listen to anyone," said Hugh.

"Let me at Tristan! I'll tear his gizzard out!" shouted Rosa.

"Rosa no! We don't do stuff like that. We should only fight to defend ourselves," said Ms. Angelo.

"Ms. Angelo, Tristan's bullied every one of us in the past before. We got a break once Kim started dating him," said Hugh.

"And then he hurt Kim and Kim slashed his tires on his new car," said Kevin. The kids laugh.

"And it took everything I could to not have Kim be thrown in jail," said Ms. Angelo.

"Yeah. But it felt good," said Kim.

"Why do they pick on us?" asked Tommy.

"Some people look down on families like us. They think that just because we are not related that we are not a real family. But I say we did pretty good," said Ms. Angelo. Everyone nodded in agreement.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

They ate the rest of dinner in silence. Afterward, they put up any leftovers in the fridge and took care of the dishes. Once done, Tommy went back to his game while everyone else went to pack. Ajax goes up the stairs and to his room.

Ajax's room wasn't that big, but it was big enough for him. There was a bed, a dresser, a desk, and a bookshelf. On the desk was a Bionicle figure of Toa Tahu and a crystal 3D puzzle of a dragon, and a lamp. The bookshelf had more dragon figures, a few different books, some pokemon books, a Spyro plush, a few Playstation games with a sign that reads: Ajax's games, please ask first. The bed had plain light blue sheets with a purple comforter on top. The dresser has an alarm clock, a lamp, and a Charmander plush.

Ajax put down his school backpack and got out a bigger backpack. The backpack is a dull green and has lots of wear and tear. Ajax opens it up and starts putting clothes inside.

Ajax then hears a knock. He turns and sees Ms. Angelo standing there. "Hey," said Ms. Angelo.

"Hey," responded Ajax.

"Can we chat a little bit?" asked Angelo.

"Yeah," answered Ajax halfheartedly.

Ms. Angelo comes in and sits at the edge of the bed. "Why did Tristan bully you today?"

"He and his team were bored and wanted to have fun. Officer Courtwright arrived just in time, so I was at least on time for school. Then I went to Pap's and then they cornered me and tossed me into the nearest dumpster," answered Ajax.

Ms. Angelo sighs, "I wish that boy would leave you all alone. I wish I could have found you a family away from him."

"Yeah and be called a red-headed stepchild. No thank you," said Ajax. "Karma is going to get him eventually. Right? Bad guys get their just rewards right?"

Ms. Angelo slightly smiles but doesn't answer. "You're smart Ajax. Once you graduate, you can leave this place and live your own life."

"I heard it before. I just don't know where to even go. Or even what to do. The world's a mess and I feel like this is the only safe place left to grow," said Ajax.

"The world is a mess but that's why we need good men like you. Someone that can help make the world better. The world is your oyster," said Ms. Angelo.

"Is it? Because I am having a hard time believing that given that there are people like Tristan running around thinking they can do whatever they want because they have money or power. All he has to do is throw a ball and the whole town grovels at his feet. And because his dad's the mayor he gets to walk off scot-free if he has any trouble," said Ajax as he packs.

"Ajax, eventually he's going to get what's coming to him. All you can do is do the best you can with what you got. You can be someone great to someone. You don't have to please everyone," said Ms. Angelo.

Ajax is silent as he continues to pack.

"Ajax, I know that's not a good answer but sometimes it is the best we got. You never know what you'll find if you don't go out to see what life has to offer. Now get to bed, we got a camping trip to do. Isn't that exciting?" asked Ms. Angelo.

"Yeah. Three days of camping, fishing, and hot dogs with the rest of the town and guests. Going to be a barrel of laughs," answered Ajax.

Ms. Angelo bites her lip. "I actually have something I want you and the other older kids to have."

"Huh?" asked Ajax. Ms. Angelo hands Ajax a bottle of pepper spray. "What's this?"

"Pepper spray in case Tristan decides to pick on you again. But you need to promise me that you'll only use it to defend. It's not a weapon, it's to help defend yourself," explained Ms. Angelo. Ajax nods.

Ms. Angelo smiles as she leaves. Ajax continues to pack and gets a book; he stops at the book. He looks at his copy of 'The Hobbit,' he read this book plenty of times and when he was younger, he wanted to go on an adventure like that. Go on an adventure searching for treasure, fighting monsters, maybe saving a princess. He wanted to be more than what he was now. But that was just a dream.

Ajax puts the book into his backpack. He goes to the window to look at the street outside. He could see a decent chunk of the neighborhood from the window and the gated community not far off. He then looked to the stars. Though he was sad and thought wishing stars were kid stuff, he still had some hope for a wish to come true.
Ajax closes his eyes and whispers, "Please. Please just give me a chance to be more. Please…." Ajax opens his eyes and heads off to bed. The town falls asleep.

Late into the night, a shooting star approaches the nearby forest. The fiery mass hurls towards the ground at a great speed. The ball of fireflies through the night, smashing the tops of trees before going into the forest below the tree line. It bounces around, taking chunks of tree bark. The object bounces to many trees before crashing into the ground, landing under a cover of foliage. The object stops glowing read revealing a gold, thick disc object two feet in diameter and six inches thick. It lays in the ground, the quiet of the night returning.

The next day, the Wheelbarrow Peace Stream Park Campgrounds were filled to the brim with campers and tourists as the Spring Beginnings Festival was starting. Lots of cars and RVs were trying to get into the park and the main lodge of the place to secure their reservations. Ajax and his foster family were inside one van. It was very early in the day, so everyone was still tired.

After an hour of waiting, they made it. "Alright everyone, wake up. Time to set up camp," said Ms. Angelo. Everyone woke up and got out of the van. The little plot of the campground wasn't really the best, being downwind of the public restrooms but, it was all they could get for the price. "Alright everyone, start setting up the tents. Kim, Kevin, Ajax, please help the others."

"Sure thing," said Kim.

"Alright," answered Kevin.

"Ok," said Ajax.

Little John sat by Zach and kept a watchful eye. Sophia laid beside them as they set up camp.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Meanwhile, at the camp lodge, the mayor was getting ready with the Fire Chief and Sheriff. The mayor is in a casual button shirt and khaki pants, he has dark brown and brown eyes.

"How do I look gentlemen?" asked the mayor.

"Looks good Jack," said the Sheriff.

"Thanks. Wanted to keep it casual, this is a fun event. Everything ready?" asked Mayor Jack.

"Yep. Low risk of forest fires and we have a full park. The whole town is here to celebrate," said the fire chief.

"Nice work fellas," said the mayor.

"But there is one thing we need to talk about," said the Sheriff.

"What's that?" asked Mayor Jackson.

"Your son. He's been causing trouble again. Or at least that's what I have been told. I haven't seen anything for myself, but it is just something to look out for," answered the Sheriff.

Mayor Jackson looks at the Sheriff, "Alright, but let's get one thing straight, Tristen is my responsibility, not yours. You just make sure everyone follows the law and we don't have any trouble. Understand?" The sheriff nods. "Good. Now let's get out there. It's time for the weekend to start."

The three head out of the lodge and towards a stage that was set up. The crowd cheered as the mayor came up along with the Sheriff, Fire Chief, other heads of the town. Tristan and the Mayor's wife were also there.

"Hello everyone! And welcome to Peace Stream Park in beautiful Wheelbarrow!" said Mayor Jackson. The crowd cheers. "We thank you for coming out and joining us to welcome the beginning of spring!" The crowd cheers again. "Yes. Yes. Thank you. Now, remember, follow the rules of the park. Don't cause any trouble. Don't litter. Mind what the rangers say. Now let's have a good weekend!" The crowd cheers as he walks off the stage.

"Sir, we may have a situation," said the Sheriff.

"What is it?" asked Mayor Jackson.

"Deputy Courtwright found some burned broken branches. I don't think it is anything but he's looking at it just to be on the safe side," said the Sheriff.

"Good idea. With this many people here, we don't want a fire breaking out and lots of people getting hurt," said Mayor Jackson.

"Yes sir," said Sheriff.

"I'll keep an eye on campfires and make sure they are properly set up and put out," said the Fire Chief.

"Thanks, you but please you two, have some fun as well. You deserve it," said Mayor Jackson making the two people nod. They head out to enjoy the festivities.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Back with Ajax and his group. They had finished setting up the tents and were having lunch, peanut butter and various jelly sandwiches, and a bag of chips. Ajax's sandwich had apple jelly on it. He was about to enjoy it when he noticed that Zach and Cole are missing.

"Hey, does anyone know where Zach and Cole are?" asked Ajax.

Everyone looked around and shook their heads.

"Little John should be with them. Could you go look for them?" asked Ms. Angelo.

"Sure. Sophia should find their scent easily," answered Ajax.

"Thank you, dear," said Ms. Angelo. "Hopefully they are not in any trouble."

"Don't worry. I'll find them. Come on Sophia," said Ajax as he gets up taking his backpack with him and Sophia following him.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

They walk around for a few minutes looking over the campgrounds, looking through the crowds of people that had come to camp for the weekend. Ajax continued to look but couldn't find Zach or Cole. He made it to the far end of the campgrounds, near the entrance to the forest hiking trails. Soon he starts hearing a noise, Ajax goes to investigate. What he sees is Tristan and his friends picking on Zach and Cole. One was holding Cole, Little John was tied to a tree barking angrily at the jocks, the rest were making random hand gestures at Zach while yelling and hitting him. Zach was crying as he couldn't make out what anyone was saying to him.

"What's the matter?" asked one jock.

"This boy's ears don't work," said another.

"Hey! Hey! What am I saying to you?" asked a jock as he made a rude gesture to Zach.

Ajax felt something inside him, rage and something else he didn't know what to call. But seeing Zach in trouble made his blood boil. He rushed out into the clearing.

"HEY GRASS HEADS! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" yelled Ajax.

The jocks look at him and stood in silence before laughing.

"Well, if it isn't Ajax Box Boy. Nice of you to join us. We were just having fun with your…. Huh. I do not know what to call them. Brothers? Friends? Pity Cases?" asked Tristen.

Ajax balled up his fist as Tristen talked. Meanwhile, Sophia sneaked around and went to where Little John was tied up. The cocker spaniel tugged at the tied leash with the dog growls at the jocks. Tristan meanwhile approached Ajax, "So, you decided to grow a pair and stand up to me? Took a few boxing lessons?" Tristan playfully punches Ajax's shoulder.

"Just knock it off and leave us alone," said Ajax.

"And what are you going to do to make me?" asked Tristan getting really close to Ajax's face.

"This," answered Ajax as he grabs the pepper spray Ms. Angelo gave him and sprays Tristan's eyes with it. The football star screams before Ajax kicks him between the legs. Tristan falls to the ground to nurse his injuries. The jocks look at Ajax, now pointing the pepper spray at them. "Now let them go."

"Come on, let's get him!" said one of the jocks as they leave Zach and head to Ajax. The jock holding Cole holds on tight. Just then, Little John is free from being tied to the tree and proceeds to bite the jock in the ass.

"AAAHHHH!" yelled the jock as he let go of Cole.

Cole goes to Zach, gets him up and they escape, with Little John following behind. A jock tries to go after them, but Sophia jumps in and barks at the jock.

"Get those kids," said one jock.

"NO! GET AJAX!" Yelled Tristan as he got up. Ajax backs away towards the forest pointing the pepper spray at the jocks. One tries to attack Ajax but Ajax uses pepper spray to blind the guy.

"Aaaahhhhh!" screamed the jock.

Ajax then makes a beeline for the forest, hoping to lose them. Tristan and his friends chase after Ajax and Sophia. Ajax ran as fast as he could, hoping the jocks wouldn't catch him. Suddenly, Ajax misses a step and falls down a steep hill. He rolls and slides down the hill till he reaches the bottom. He finds a little alcove and hides inside. Sophia finds him.

"Hey, girl. You ok?" asked Ajax. Sophia licks Ajax's face. "Good." He then hears Tristan and his crew and hides, staying very quiet.

"Where did he go?"

"I don't know. He just disappeared."

"Find him. I'm going to break his arms when I'm done with him," said Tristan as they went away.

Ajax breathes a sigh of relief as he was safe for now. The light shined through his little canopy cover and just then, he sees a little light shine towards him. Ajax looks towards it and sees something gold under a pile of leaves.

Ajax brushes off the leaves and finds a gold disc-like thing that was two feet wide and about 6 inches thick. Along the sides are intricate symbols and patterns. Much of it was dented and burned. Ajax brushed his thumb along the sides till he hit a square with a single symbol. Ajax rubs his thumb on the symbol and then suddenly felt his thumb getting pricked.

"Ow," said Ajax as he recoiled back. Looking at his thumb, it had a small bit of blood but nothing too bad. Then the disc opened. The symbol was a latch. Ajax opens it up and sees a compass face without a needle.

Around the circle is an empty track except for four runes the size of a thumbprint. The first rune looks like a mountain. The second rune is a cloud with tiny gems sprinkled around. The third rune is an eight-pointed star. The fourth is a tree surrounded by various plants. Ajax touches the runes, and they slide around the track. While sliding, the mountain rune glows blue when it came above the north spot. Ajax stops and sees a slot for a rune in each of the directions. Ajax slides the mountain rune into the north, once done, the compass starts to glow. Ajax tries the other runes; the tree goes into the east spot. The cloud slides into the south. Finally, the eight-pointed star goes into the west. Once the runes are set, the compass begins to glow brightly.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Meanwhile, Ms. Angelo and the kids finish lunch when Cole and Zach come running. Ms. Angelo sees that Zach had tears in his eyes.

"Zach! Cole! What happened?" asked Ms. Angelo in a panicked tone.

"Tristan and his friends took us and bullied us. Tied Little John to a tree and yelled at Zach…. They kept making hand gestures. Ajax came and sprayed Tristan. He told us to run," explained Cole as he cried in fear.

Ms. Angelo became mad, "That's it. Tristan is going to pay for this. Come on, let's go find one of the deputies. We need to report this. Kimberly, Kevin, Rosa, go find Ajax."

"Sure thing," said Kimberly.

"Just make sure Tristan gets it this time," said Kevin.

"Cole, tell us which way Ajax is," requested Rosa, and Cole pointed the way. The three teens headed that way.

Ms. Angelo looked around for a deputy or the sheriff.

Back with Ajax, the compass was glowing more brightly and spinning wildly.

"What is going on?" wondered Ajax as panic started to show in his voice. Sophia hid under a few branches and whined. Lightning came from the compass before a big bolt erupted from the compass a few feet in front of Ajax and Sophia. The bolt rips a hole and opens a vortex. The shock makes the whole town shake.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Meanwhile, Ms. Angelo finds Deputy Courtwright. "Courtwright, we need to talk," said Ms. Angelo just before the shockwave hits the park. Courtwright steadies her.

"Get the kids away from the trees and into open area," said Courtwright. Ms. Angelo nods. Courtwright starts directing people to safety. "EVERYONE AWAY FROM THE TREES! COME, EVERYONE! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"

People ran away from the tree line as car alarms went off.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Meanwhile, Kimberly, Kevin, and Rosa felt the shocks and held onto tree trunks.

"What is going on?!" Yelled Rosa.

"I don't know. Earthquake?" said Kimberly.

"Not possible. We're not on a fault line," said Kevin.

The portal in front of Ajax starts pulling him towards it. Ajax grabs a branch and hangs on for dear life. Sophia starts to slide towards the portal. The small dog tries to run away but her feet leave the ground. She floats towards the portal trying to run away.

"SOPHIA!" yells Ajax as he grabs Sophia. "I got you." The branch then breaks, and they fly into the portal. Ajax drops the branch and tries to grab the ground but no such luck. Ajax then grabs the compass and he and Sophia fall into the portal. The portal closes and sends a shockwave that goes through the whole town.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

The ground is done shaking, everyone is still as they hear nothing but car alarms. Soon everyone started looking to see if everyone was alright.

"You ok? Kids ok?" asked Courtwright.

"Yeah. I'm ok. Tommy? Cole? Hugh? You ok?" asked Ms. Angelo. The kids nod as they wipe away frightened tears. "I need to find the others," said Ms. Angelo.

"I'll go find them. I saw them go towards the woods," said Courtwright.

"Thank you," said Ms. Angelo. Deputy Courtwright nods. He heads for the woods.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Ajax flew through the portal stream, floating around like a cork in an ocean. He held Sophia and the compass tight, hoping it would stop. Soon he felt the wind and hitting the ground, he tumbles a little and then just lays there, curled up into a ball waiting for something to happen. After a minute of nothing happening, Ajax opens his eyes and sees that he is alright. He didn't feel any pain. He looks around and sees that he's still in the forest. He got up from the ground, still holding Sophia and the compass. Looking around, the trees looked…. Brighter?

"Hello?" said Ajax. "Anyone?" Ajax looked around but couldn't see anyone. "Sophia, that was insane. Let's try and not use this thing again."

Sophia barks in agreement.

Ajax puts the compass into his backpack, and they started to walk forward. Unbeknownst to them, something with big green eyes was watching them.

[A bunch of trees appear with a mountain in the background. The sound of knocking wood is heard as holes appear in the trees and form two words]

Woodpecker Woods

Ajax and Sophia walk along a safe path in the forest for ten minutes. But they couldn't find their way back to the campground.

"Now I know the campground was this way. Or was it? Where's the hiking trail? It should be here," said Ajax looking in every direction for anything familiar. However, nothing looked familiar to him. He was lost. Sophia sniffed the ground but couldn't get a good scent. In the tree line, a small figure follows Ajax and Sophia. Its eyes are wide with curiosity.

Eventually, Ajax found a small carving in one of the trees. It was a little picture of a tent and an arrow. "Finally. Campgrounds are this way," said Ajax as they went into the direction of the arrow. Finally, a path in the woods shows up, Ajax and Sophia follow the trail. Behind them, the figure ducks into a bush and uses it to cover its footsteps. Under the bush, small yellow feet peek from under as the bush is carried behind Ajax and Sophia.

Sophia feels like someone is following them. She turns and the bush stops moving. Sophia goes to sniff the bush, but the figure flies back to the trees. Sophia barks at the figure.

"Come on Sophia. We need to get back to the others. And see if Zach and Cole are ok," said Ajax. Just then his stomach growls. He never got to eat lunch. "Hhhhmmmmmmm," groaned Ajax. He continued but he grabbed a sandwich so he could eat. He continues down the path while eating his peanut butter and apple jelly sandwich.

The figure soon flies down above Ajax's head, just out of his eyesight. Ajax ate his sandwich as the figure flies over him. As he ate, Ajax felt someone is watching him but every time he turned around, he saw nothing. Sophia barks at Ajax.

"What's the matter?" asked Ajax. Ajax felt his hand become empty. He looks and sees his sandwich is gone. "Huh?"

"Not wild about the selection of jelly, but overall, a yummy sandwich." commented a three-foot-tall woodpecker with red feathers for his head, white feathers on his belly and his neck, blue feathers everywhere else, two feathers from his tail. He has green eyes, wearing white gloves and a yellow beak and feet. The woodpecker finishes Ajax's sandwiches.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Ajax screams as he falls to the ground. The young man scoots away from the woodpecker in fear.

"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you," said the Woodpecker as he flies down to Ajax. "Name's Woody."

"Woody? It can't be," said Ajax.

"What?" asks Woody.

"You can't be real. You're a cartoon," answers Ajax in disbelief.

"Uhh. I'm pretty sure I'm real. I am standing in front of you," said Woody.

"I'm dreaming. I have to be dreaming. Am I dead? Oh crap. I'm dead! I fell down that hill and died! I DON'T WANT TO BE DEAD!" screamed Ajax.

Woody pecks Ajax's head. "Calm down," said Woody. "Sounds like you know me. Which means you must have seen my cartoons," explained Woody.
"Wait, you know you are a cartoon?" asked Ajax.

"Yeah. It's hard to explain. I'll tell you some other time," answered Woody.

"Ok," replied Ajax.

"So, what are you doing out here?" asked Woody.

"Well, I was on a camping trip, and I got into a fight with some bullies. Ran away from them and slid down a hill where I found this compass," explained Ajax showing Woody the compass. "It had these small rocks with symbols on them and when I slid them over a certain spot, one of the rocks glowed blue and I slid it inside. Next thing I know this vortex opened up and Sophia and I are sucked in."

"Sophia?" asked Woody.

"Oh, she's my dog. Well kind of," answered Ajax. "Come here, girl." Sophia comes over and greets Woody.

"Oh. Such a nice dog. So this compass dropped you here?" asked Woody.

"Yeah. Now I would like to get back home," answered Ajax.

"Don't worry, kid! I'll gladly help you!" asked Woody.
"You mean it?" asked Ajax.

"Sure. Besides, I'm not doing anything. So, how do we get you home?" asked Woody.

"I don't know," said Ajax as he opened the compass. He looked at the runes and tried them, but none glowed blue. The combination that got him into this mess glowed green, however. "I think the green glow means I already tried that combination."

"So we just need to wait till the rocks glow blue?" asked Woody.

"I guess," answered Ajax. Ajax then noticed that the compass had two needles. One pointing north, the other a pale blue glowing needle pointing in a different direction. "Huh? What's with this second needle?"
"What second needle? I only see one," said Woody.

"But I am seeing a second needle. And it's pointing that way," said Ajax pointing in the direction.

"Did I peck you too hard? You might be seeing things," said Woody.

"Can we at least check it out and see if it leads to anything?" asked Ajax.

"Sure. We don't have any other ideas," said Woody.

"Thanks. Oh, by the way. Name's Ajax. Ajax Nobody," said Ajax.

"Nobody? What kind of name is Nobody?" asked Woody.

"A name you give yourself if you are an orphan," replied Ajax.

"Oh. Sorry," said Woody.

"It's alright. I have fine with it," said Ajax.

"Ok. Let's go," said Woody. Ajax nods as they follow the compass.

They walk together for about ten minutes. Soon they come across a clearing in the woods. In the distance, they could see a river at the base of a mountain.

"Nice view," said Ajax.

"Yeah. It's not as nice as the city. What with no tv and all but you can't beat that view and clean air," said Woody.

Just then they hear a car horn as a giant RV zooms into the clearing, nearly hitting Ajax and Sophia. The RV stops in front of Ajax before they hear the engines shut off.

Someone gets out of the RV; he's a walrus with no hair on his head except for a brown bushy mustache, a pale green shirt, dark green pants, and white gloves. "What is the big idea standing in the middle of the clearing?" grumbled the walrus in a Swedish accent.

"Pipe down you big blowhard! You nearly ran us over!" yelled Woody.

"Oh great. It's the moocher. What are you doing here?" asked the walrus.

"Made a new friend and I am going to help him out. But before we go you are going to apologize to him for almost hitting him," demanded Woody.

"Not a chance. Any friend of yours is no friend of mine," said the walrus as he grabs Woody and swings him around before tossing him a country mile. "Now it is your turn to leave."

"I'm leaving," said Ajax as he left the clearing. The walrus started to set up his camp. Sometime later, Ajax finds Woody. "You ok Woody?"

"Yeah. But Wally needs to be taught a lesson," said Woody.

"Woody let's just follow the compass and just forget him," said Ajax.

"But we just can't let him get away with nearly running you over," said Woody.

"He's not worth it," said Ajax as he walked away. Woody frowns as he follows Ajax.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

The compass leads them to a riverbed with many small stones. Ajax looks at them while following the compass.

"Seeing anything yet?" asked Woody.

"Not yet," answered Ajax.

They continue looking when Ajax sees a stone with a clock pattern on it. "That must be it," said Ajax. Ajax goes to pick it up, but it was snatched by Wally before he could get it.

"Oh joy. The perfect stone for my garden stepping-stone path. Today is my lucky day," said Wally.

"Excuse me Wally put uh, I need that stone. It's very important," said Ajax.

"Really? Well too bad. I found it first, so it is mine," said Wally.

"Liar! We say the stone first and you just grabbed it before we could," said Woody.

"It's mine now and you can't have it. So good day," said Wally as he walked away.

"But. But. But," said Ajax stammering as Wally walked away.

"Ajax, it's time we taught Wally a lesson," said Woody.

"We have no choice. Let's do it," said Ajax.

"Good. Time to get a little….wacky," said Woody with a devious smile.

Z-z-z-z-z-Z

Later, Wally Walrus is fixing up his charcoal grill to make some food. Woody spots a gas can next to the grill. An idea forms in his head.

"Bingo. Ajax, give me a distraction," said Woody.

"How?" asked Ajax.

"Just think of something," said Woody. Woody sneaks over to near the grill as Ajax goes over to the RV.

"Ok. Distraction, distraction. What can I do for a distraction?" wondered Ajax. Then he saw some rocks. He raises an eyebrow. He takes the rocks and tosses one at the RV. Nothing happened. He takes a slightly bigger rock and tosses it at the RV, and still, nothing happened. He gets another big rock and tosses it at the RV, this time the car alarms started going off. Ajax made himself scarce.

"What in the Vorld is going on?" said Wally as he goes to see what is going on while Woody grabs the gas can, opens it up, and pours the whole thing into the grill. Once done, Woody flees making sure to cover his tracks. Wally returns to the grill none the wiser.

"Stupid squirrels," said Wally as he gets out a box of matches. He gets out one of the matches and strikes to light it.

Ajax and Woody go back to their hiding spot. "Now watch the show," said Woody.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" asked Ajax.

"Trust me," answered Woody.

Wally gets the light to flame. "Finally," said Wally as he tosses the match into the grill.

BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!

The grill explodes in a fiery explosion. Wally is completely covered in black ash and soot. Wally opens his eyes to shake off the soot. He then gets very angry as the ash and soot fall off. "VROODPECKER!" shouted Wally. Wally kicked the ruined grill away before grabbing a new one.

Wally starts cooking hotdogs on his grill. He was humming a little tune as he cooks the wieners. Ajax, Sophia, and Woody continue to hide in the bushes.

"Ah. My dogs are nearly done. I should get the buns," said Wally. Wally steps away from the grill.

Woody sees his chance, the woodpecker sneaks over to the grill while Wally's back is turned. He waits for Wally to put two hot dog buns out as well as ketchup and mustard. Once Wally turns, Woody swipes the buns and condiments. Wally turns back around and sees that his buns and sauces are gone.

"What in the world?" exclaimed Wally. Woody then steals Wally's hot dogs. Woody puts the dogs into the buns and puts ketchup on one and mustard on the other.

Woody returns to Ajax without Wally's knowing. "Here kid. Have a hotdog," said Woody as he gives Ajax the ketchup hotdog.

"But Woody, you stole that hotdog from him," said Ajax.

"Just think of it as getting back at him for nearly running you over," said Woody as he ate the hotdog. Ajax looks at the hotdog before eating it. Soon as they were done, they watched for the next target.

Soon Wally was getting his hammock set up for a relaxing afternoon of reading. Woody sees this and gets an idea. He looks around and sees a beehive in one of the trees.

"Perfect," said Woody. Woody flies over and grabs the beehive. Before Wally can lay down, Woody switches the walrus's pillow with the beehive. Wally lays his head on the beehive and then the bees swarm Wally.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed Wally as he ran away to the river.

"Quick Ajax. Find the stone," said Woody.

Ajax looks for the stones in the rock pile Wally made and soon he found it. A small rock with a clock symbol on it. "Got it!"

"Great. Now let's get out of here!" said Woody. He turns to flee but runs into a wall of blubber. He looks up and sees a stung, wet and very angry Wally. "Hehehehe. Hey Wally. Did you enjoy the swim?" asked Woody nervously.

Wally responds by grabbing Woody's neck. "I'm going to make meatballs out of you voodpecker! And as for you kid, I'm going to turn you over to the police and they'll throw you into juvie for life."

"No," said Ajax.

"Leave him alone you oversized bully," yelled Woody as he pecks Wally's head.

"Ouch!" yelled Wally as he lets go of Woody.

Woody flies to Ajax's side, "Time to fight."

"But I can't," said Ajax.

"It's either fight or Wally throws you into the pokey. Just ball up your fists and throw a punch," instructed Woody. Ajax does so as Wally gets a frying pan, steam coming out of the walrus's ears.

Ajax stood there in fear as Wally stomped towards him.

"Don't just stand there. Defend yourself," said Woody as he flew towards Wally and gives him several pecks on the head.

"Ouch! Miserable woodpecker! I'll get you this time!" yelled Wally. Wally tries to swipe Woody out of the air. Woody artfully dodges the attempted strikes.

Ajax looks at his fists and then closes his eyes. Charging forward, Ajax let out a scared battle cry. He reeled back a fist and goes for the punch. He feels his punch land. Opening his eyes, Ajax sees his fist in Wally's gut.

"Uh. Is that supposed to hurt?" asked Wally. Ajax's eyes widen as Wally swung his pan at Ajax sending him aback.

"Ajax!" cried Woody as he pecks Wally again.

"Arg!" yelled Wally as he goes back to swinging at Woody.

"Punch him again, just remember to dodge," said Woody.

Ajax nods as he gets back up. "Sophia, bite bite," said Ajax. Sophia growls and goes to bite Wally.

"AAAAHHHHH!" screams Wally, quickly nursing his bitten bottom. "You wretched flea-bitten mutt!" Wally goes after Sophia, but the dog is faster than him.

Ajax goes into punch Wally a few times but is does little effect. Wally whacks Ajax again sending him flying and stuff to fall out of his backpack. Including a metal flashlight.

"Ajax! Ouch!" Woody is hit by one of Wally's frying pan swings.
"Woody!" yelled Ajax. Just then he sees his big metal flashlight and gets an idea. He grabs the flashlight and wields it like a baton, charging at Wally. Ajax swings at Wally's head and this time it does more damage.

"Ouch!" exclaimed Wally.

"Oh yeah," said Ajax.

"Nice work," said Woody.
"Thanks. Gah!" Ajax is grabbed by Wally. Wally is about to whack Ajax but Ajax grabs his pepper spray and sprays Wally's eyes.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH! MY EYES!" screamed Wally. Wally is left wide open as he wipes his eyes. Ajax whacks Wally with his flashlight and Woody pecks at Wally's head. "THAT'S IT!" Wally grabs a helmet and roars before charging at the three.

The three dodge out of the way. "Ajax, get that picnic tablecloth and follow my lead," said Woody. Ajax nods as he grabs the cloth, spilling anything on the cloth. "Now stand in front of a tree and go 'Toru Toru'," said Woody.

Ajax does so and goes, "Toru? Toru?" Wally gets mad and charges at Ajax. At the right time, Ajax dodges and Wally hits the tree.

Wally falls to the ground in a dizzy state. "Oooohhhhh…" groaned Wally.

Ajax rushes to Wally and whacks him a few more times before Wally gets back up.

Wally stomps the ground and chases Ajax and Woody.

"Sophia, bite bite," said Ajax. Sophia growls and bites Wally again.

"Ouch!" yelled Wally. Wally gets angry again and steam comes out of his ears. Wally puts his helmet back on and charges at Ajax. Ajax runs away and grabs the tablecloth and gets in front of a tree.

"Toru. Toru," said Ajax. Wally charges into the tablecloth as Ajax dodges. "Ole!"

Wally slams into another tree and falls to the ground, stars flying around his head. Ajax and Woody charge in. Woody pecks Wally's head. Ajax swings his flashlight at Wally's head. Wally tosses them aside and swings his pan at them.

The attack hits Ajax and Woody. "AHHH!" they both scream in pain. Wally sure packs a punch as the two are running out of steam. Wally swings at Ajax but the young man dodges and does an upper hand swing onto the walrus's head.

"AAAHHHHH!" yelled Wally. "Oooohhhhh…." Stars spun around Wally's head as he was now dizzy. Ajax gave two final swings at Wally's head and the walrus finally fell down for the count.

"And he's out! Way to go Ajax!" exclaimed Woody.

"T-Thanks. I didn't think I had it in me. I always ran from a fight," said Ajax.

"Now let's get out of here," said Woody.

"Right," nodded Ajax as they left the camp clearing and to the riverbed. Once safe, Ajax brought out the rock with the clock picture and opens the compass. "So how does this go?" The rock and compass suddenly glow. The rock floats into the compass track with the other stones, going in between the eight-pointed star and tree stones. They hear a click before the glowing stops. The two felt a little boost of energy seeing this.

"Like that, I guess. Now what?" asked Woody.

Ajax looks at the now five symbols and starts sliding them. Once again, the mountain stone glows above the North slot and Ajax slides it in. The next stone is the tree symbol as it goes into the East slot again. The Dream Cloud once again went into the South slot. For the West, Ajax tried the new clock stone, and it glows blue, he slides the rock down. The compass glows in a brilliant blue once more and a portal is created.

"Whoa!" exclaimed Woody.

"Yeah. Pretty cool," said Ajax. The portal tries to suck them all in, but with less force this time. "Let's see where this goes." Ajax and Sophia jump in while Woody flies in. The portal closes and sends a small shockwave through the world.

From the Journal of Ajax Nobody:

Ajax Nobody: That's me. I'm Ajax Nobody. I was found on the doorstep of an orphanage and was named Ajax. The Nobody name came sometime after. I live here in Wheelbarrow. I'm not very tough and bullies like Tristan pick on me non-stop. One day, I'll be a somebody.

Sophia: This is my unofficial dog, Sophia. Found near a dumpster, I showed her to Ms. Angelo, and she took Sophia in. She helps around the orphanage with whatever she can. She likes following me around everywhere.

Tristan: A smug football player at the school I go to. Since his dad's the mayor, he thinks he can get away with pushing everyone around. He and his football team rule the school and everyone in it. He loves picking on me. One day, I'll get even with him.

Deputy Courtwright: A police deputy that protects the people of Wheelbarrow. He stands up for me when Tristan bullies me. He's one of the many deputy officers that help the sheriff. He's Debra's dad and the closest thing to a dad for me.

Debra Courtwright: A friend of mine from school and one of the toughest people I know. She writes a school newspaper and wants to be a reporter. She is also Deputy Courtwright's daughter.

Pap: The owner of Pap's, a soda saloon on Main Street. He is a master flavor mixer and listener for people's problems. He keeps a watchful eye on the town's kids. He's also Ms. Angelo's dad. So, does that make him like my granddad?

Zadie Angelo: The woman who found me on the steps of the old orphanage. She helped raise me until the original owner of the orphanage passed away and left her the place. She turned the place into a foster home and is raising the remaining kids. She runs a daycare and knows how to care for kids. We all call her Ms. Angelo.

Tommy: Ten-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me. Likes to play sports and is super competitive.

Cole: Eight-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me.

Zach: Seven-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me. He is deaf and has trouble speaking so everyone learned sign language so we can talk with him.

Little John: A St. Bernard that walks around with Zach to be his ear dog. I always want to pet him, but I can't or else he can't protect Zach well.

Hugh: Twelve-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me.

Kevin: Fifteen-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me. Talks with a French accent. Don't know how he got it.

Rosa: Thirteen-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me. She is quick to anger and is considered the toughest of the group.

Kimberly: Seventeen-year-old that lives in the same foster home like me. Call her Kim but never Kimmy. She once dated Tristan but dumped him after going too far one night.

Mayor Jackson Beauregard: Mayor of Wheelbarrow and has been so for about 8 years. He's working on getting voted for his last term. He's Tristan's dad.

Woody Woodpecker: A tooney woodpecker that lives in Woodpecker Woods. He's a nice guy and offered to help me find a way home but is a bit of a troublemaker. He can peck anything out of wood. First Appearance: Knock Knock 1940

Wally Walrus: A tooney walrus that goes camping in Woodpecker Woods. While thick skin, he gets very angry when Woody is involved. He talks with a Swedish accent and loves to relax and keep to himself. He is not a very pleasant guy to many people. First Appearance: The Beach Nut 1944

Thank you for reading this to the end. I look forward to showing you more of what's to come in this reimagining. I hope to write more regularly this year. Leave a review if you have any ideas for making the story better. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this introduction and the first episode. Welcome to the Misfit Beginnings Arc of Ajax Nobody.
