5. The Moose

Although he'd done everything he could to get Young Hi back home, Hawkeye realized that he missed her. He knew it was wrong. She wasn't his moose and

shouldn't have been anyone's. The idea that someone bought her was appalling and it made Hawkeye sad that she didn't seem to understand what was happening.

Part of him wanted her to stay; the part that cared for her. He told no one, not even Trapper, although he knew that his friend would understand. He, like

Hawkeye (and unlike Blake) had feelings. Hawkeye hoped that Young Hi was happy, smiling and well.
