Unknown to Helena, magically transporting her family to the moon, another fairy infiltrated the portal to follow them! She laid low and waited for Perle to kick-start the Neo-Sailor Senshi's doom! Noticing Helena was pregnant, maybe this fae could get a meal out of this deal too!
"Forgive me, your majesties, but the universe fated for me to have another Dream Fairy. So, I'm not feeling as strong as my usual self." Helena informed King Endymion and Neo-Queen Serenity as she did look a bit worn.
The Dream Fairies knew Helena's state of health and tried to preoccupy the Neo-Sailor Senshi, but they already knew. Helena didn't want too many people to know, or it could be too stressful.
"No need to apologize, Helena. Congratulations from both of us." King Endymion smiled.
"We'll provide whatever you desire to make your time here comfortable." Neo-Queen Serenity said serenely.
"You both are too kind. However, this is the Neo-Sailor Senshi's celebration. So I'll do my best not to be a bother." Helena smiled weakly.
"Don't be silly. We know you're pregnant, and we will help if you need anything." Gracie piped up.
"Thank you." Helena breathed a sigh of relief. Knowing she had so many people willing to see her well-being was pleasant.
Quickly, the party got underway, and everyone started catching up. The Neo-Sailor Senshi hung out with groups of the Dream Faries, who matched them in personality.
"I'm so happy to see you!" Chibiusa barreled into Helios, hugging him.
"I am over the moon to see you too, Chibiusa." Helios tenderly hugged her back.
Chibiusa sighed contently like she was again wrapped in Pegasus's soft, warm wings. To the delight of the more observant girls, they noticed Perle staring across the room at Jewel but looked away if she ever glanced at him. Unfortunately, none of the other adults seemed to see, so it was up to one of the Senshi to tell her.
"Um...Princess, that Dream Fairy with white hair is staring at you. Why don't you go talk to him?" Dawn giggled.
Jewel hissed, "That's Perle. I feel gross stealing a boy my half-sister liked."
"Well, Chibiusa seems to have chosen Helio, Jewel. And technically, Perle is the one staring, so.. " Shadow reasoned...as if these points made the decision any easier!
Honestly? Jewel did not get nervous around boys. Yet her body did odd things around them: snorting when she laughed. However, she preferred to be good friends with them before even thinking about anything more serious. However, the thought of talking to Perle made her stomach flip. So Jewel decided casual conversation would be the best way to approach this.
"Excuse me, Perle? Chibiusa told me your name. Are you looking for something? Can I help?" Jewel asked.
Perle blushed, "Oh, I apologize. I didn't mean to stare. I am just amazed at seeing the Moon Kingdom for the first time. But, um...I believe Chibiusa forgot to tell me your name?"
"My name is Jewel. I'm Chibiusa's half-sister." Jewel introduced herself
"I wasn't aware Chibiusa had a half-sister!" Perle said, shocked. "If you don't mind my asking, which half are you?"
"We have the same father..." Jewel did not like talking about this subject for too long.
"So...who is your mother then?" Perle questioned.
"Princess!" Star called as she walked over with the other Dark Kingdom Senshi.
"Princess...?" Perle was very confused. To distract Perle's mind from the fact she's a princess, Jewel introduced her Senshi.
"Wait, one surprise at a time. Why do you have Senshi too?" Perle asked, a headache beginning for him.
"We are the Dark Kingdom Senshi, sworn to protect the Dark Kingdom Princess from the past, Jewel. Does that answer most of your questions?" Shadow knew Perle had been extremely close to putting her princess in a difficult position, and she disapproved of that.
Dawn stepped in, "Apologies, my twin is very blunt, but she won't hurt you. Jewel doesn't feel comfortable talking about her parentage. Sorry."
"I understand. I shouldn't have been so nosy, but that did answer most of my questions. So, if Jewel is the Dark Kindom Princess... Queen Beryl is your mother?!" Perle squealed in surprise.
"Yes, but she's the complete opposite of her mother." Star and Ivy put their arms around their leader's shoulders to show Perle the redhead is harmless. Except she looked hurt by Perle's reaction to the revelation.
"I didn't mean anything by my reaction. I was just taken by surprise, is all," deeply sympathetic, Perle hugged Jewel.
"I forgive you." Jewel hugged him back.
From there, the two began to bond over whatever they shared. Chibiusa and the Neo-Senshi were delighted Jewel found a boy who seemed to like her as Perle and Jewel sat and gazed at the Earth for a little bit. Perle and Jewel both had gotten to experience very little of the Earth but loved it more and more each time they got to see something new. Soon, it was time for Chibiusa and the Neo-Sailor to open gifts! Trisha went first, and her gifts were more long-term use items like; clothes, make-up, and jewelry.
Cleverly, Perle had the Black Prince's Ruby put into a silver, key-shaped charm for Trisha's Senshi belt!
"Thank you, Perle. I'll try to keep it from getting damaged during battles." Trisha's eyes showed awe at how fascinating the gem was as she could not keep her hands off it, and gratitude to Perle for thinking of such an excellent way to design it for her.
The Delphi Purple Sapphire was bestowed to Emily, and it was encased in some kind of crystal-like formation, similar to the shape of Saturns's very first brooch! Emily could not wear it, but it was meant as more of a good luck charm. Emily smiled happily as she thanked Perle and slipped the gift into her pocket.
Alexis and Holly showed off the matching bracelets they received. Holly has the Regent Diamond in hers, and Alexis has the Blue Diamond! While not technically a regent, Holly was allowed to run Uranus's palace if Haruka could not, and her non-blood relation to Haruka made her more like a regent.
"Thank you, Perle." Alexis almost sobbed in happiness.
While not green or having any indication it might be fitting for her, Ariel was offered the Koh-I-Noor Diamond in a hairpiece! Nonetheless, Ariel was thankful for it and even put it up in her hair for the rest of the day. Next, Christen was given the Black Orlov/Eye Of Brahma, and, considering all the rituals she did, this gemstone might be of some use to her, so it was presented to her plain.
Thankfully, Christen is content enough that she does not say anything rude or demeaning, which would have been just like her because she knew Perle liked Jewel. But, still trying to understand why Christen enjoyed teasing Jewel the most, the Dark Kingdom Senshi did not leave her much of an opening to do so anymore.
Crystal thanked Perle and admired the Star Of India on her new ring, and Gracie did the same with the Sancy Diamond in the center of a little bow-like charm on her brand-new necklace! Finally, it is Chibiusa's turn, with only two jewels left! Perle felt he had to gift her the prettier one, so she now owns the Hope Diamond as a pair of earrings! Chibiusa hugged Perle as a 'thank you' and said it as well. Perle realized he had bought one gem too many!
"Who can I give the Shar Diamond to?" Perle looked about until Gracie nudged him.
"Give it to Jewel..." Gracie whispered.
Perle blushed, "I...I...I have to wait for the right time."
Thankfully, after the party, Perle found Jewel putting some seeds Princess Sage had brought, as a present, into a silver lake to watch some flowers native to Koen bloom. It was the most lovely scene Perle had ever seen. Now was the time!
"Those are some of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen," Perle commented.
"Oh, Perle, it's you! Yes, when we were on Koen, we thought it would be beneficial to have a chance to grow the same plants here." Jewel explained.
"That's a nice idea. Do you mind if I watch them bloom with you?" Perle asked, blushing a bit, and to his surprise, Jewel was blushing too!
"Not at all." Jewel used her magic to summon a bench for them to sit on!
As they sat, Perle pulled out the Shah Diamond!
"This is for you." Perle handed the former heir of the Dark Kingdom the gemstone.
"Thank you, it's beautiful. I don't know what else to say." Jewel fingered the area the inscriptions were in.
"You could say "Yes" because I want you to go on a date with me." Perle held Jewel's free hand.
Jewel jumped into Perle's arms and kissed him, "Is that a good enough answer?"
Perle stared at her in bewilderment, then softened and kissed her back.
