Chapter 25: Undertown Romance
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Sorry about the wait. Anyway I finally figured out a way to bring in one of my favorite side characters from Ben 10 and I think many of you will like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
It was a peaceful day at Monster High, as Draculaura was sitting with Fangelica.
"Daiman!" Draculaura calls out as her Baby Chill flew in and landed on her lap.
"Oh my ghoul who is this?" Fangelica squeals.
"We call them Baby Chills but this one is mine. Daiman." Draculaura smiles.
"That's a good vampire name." Fangelica said.
"Yeah it's because of Drake this little cutie is even in my life." Draculaura said.
"The human shapeshifter?" Fangelica asks.
"He's not a shapeshifter he's a normal human. He just has something that allows him to transform." Draculaura said.
"Right, shapeshifter." Fangelica said.
"Uh not exactly." Draculaura said
"Hey Draculaura." Drake said walking over.
"Oh Drake what's going on?" Draculaura asks.
"We're planning a school trip to Undertown and I wanted to ask Fangelica if she would like to come." Drake said.
"That's a great idea." Draculaura smiles.
"Wait. We're actually gonna go out in public? With humans?" Fangelica asks.
"Not exactly. Signup for it. I guarantee you'll have a great time." Drake urged.
"Okay." Fangelica said.
"Awesome. See you later Draculaura make sure Daiman doesn't get any sweets." Drake said causing her to giggle.
"You know I can't make that promise." Draculaura smiles.
"Fair enough. See ya." Drake smiles as he waves goodbye causing Draculaura to sigh getting Fangelica's attention.
"Oh my ghoul." Fangelica gasps.
"What? What is it?" Draculaura asks looking to her.
"You like him, don't you? A vampire is in love with a human." Fangelica said causing her to blush.
"What? Me in love? With Drake?" Draculaura stutters.
"I definitely never thought this was possible until I came to this school. And Drake is very different from other humans." Fangelica said.
"I-I have to go." Draculaura said getting up.
Walking away Draculaura paused to think back when she and Drake first met, when they spent all their time recruiting students for Monster High and when they kissed at the Dance the Fright Away dance.
Draculaura did in fact like Drake, but there was one problem so did others.
"Hey Drake." Draculaura snaps out of her thoughts to see Hope standing by Drake's locker.
"Hope? I'm surprised your Uncle isn't making you do library inventory." Drake said.
"I managed to get away. So I heard there's a trip. Maybe you and I could spend time together?" Hope asks running her fingers along his shoulders.
"Uh really?" Drake blushes as Draculaura narrows her eyes.
"Maybe we could grab a bite to eat or maybe get a smoothie." Hope said.
'Man she's good.' Draculaura growls.
"I do love smoothies." Drake admits.
Hope was Draculaura's biggest fear. While she loved Drake, she had one thing Hope was that Draculaura could never be. She was a human like him. And deep down Draculaura was worried Drake would rather choose another human over a monster like her.
Sighing Draculaura walked past them when Drake noticed the sad look on her face.
'What's with Draculaura?' Drake thought.
That weekend just outside of Undertown, the RV pulls up at the entrance and the students of Monster High walk out to see the big pipe.
"Are you guys sure this is the right place?" Deuce asks.
"Yeah you're not dumping us in the sewers, are you?" Raythe asks.
"It's just a disguise. It gets better as you walk in, trust me." Drake points.
Looking at each other, everyone shrugs before walking in to see the city of Undertown.
"Whoa." All the monsters said as they noticed quite a few aliens walk by but when they looked at the monsters Fangelica waved nervously causing a big alien to smile as he waved back before walking away.
"Gob." Gob said blown away while Bonesy and Skelly dropped their jaws in shock.
"Are they not afraid of us?" Venus asks.
"Nope they think you guys are just aliens like them." Drake said.
"Alright everyone you have 2 hours to explore Undertown before we meet back here to go back to school." Frankie instructs.
"So have fun, enjoy and above all else…" Draculaura starts.
"Don't be Ben!" Drake calls out.
"Hey I'm not that bad!" Ben said.
"You're banned from over a dozen stores here. Half of which you blew up." Rook reminds.
"I'll keep an eye on him." Kai said grabbing Ben's hand.
"What am I a three year old?" Ben whines as they walked off.
"Come on you." Kai said pecking him on the cheek leading him away.
As Draculaura watches them she noticed Drake all by himself but she also noticed Hope nearby.
But what surprised her was that Drake walks past Hope and approached her.
"Hey Draculaura wanna hang out?" Drake asks.
"Wait you wanna spend time with me?" Draculaura asks surprised.
"Well I mean unless you were planning on hanging out with Fangelica." Drake shrugs.
"Yes. I mean no. I mean sure I would love to hang out with you." Draculaura said.
"Great, lets go." Drake said leading her away.
As Hope looked over she saw the vampire girl smirk before she walked away.
'Oh so the Vampire actually has some bite. Interesting.' Hope thought.
Walking through Undertown, Draculaura and Drake were looking all the interesting stores and booths.
"Wow, I gotta admit this feels nice. It's like I'm walking out in public and no one cares that I'm a monster." Draculaura said.
"That's because you are. These aliens are just like our school. They made a little safe haven for themselves so it's the perfect place for Monster High to go to." Drake said.
"I can see our school coming here very often." Draculaura said.
"Agreed." Drake said when he noticed Cleo buying from some stands.
"Ooh I love this handbag." Cleo said holding up a blue one with black holes. "Although what is this?" She clicks a button and sharp spikes came out of it startling her.
"You buy?" The vendor asks.
"Hmm does it come in any other colors?" Cleo asks.
"I see Cleo's very happy she has a place to shop." Draculaura said.
"Yeah but I bet whoever she talks into carrying her bags will not be happy." Drake said.
"We better go." Draculaura said leading them away before it ended up being them.
Deciding to look around the two of them walked into a store called Loofa Emporium,.
Inside Drake and Draculaura saw it was filled with loofas and sponges all over the place.
"Well this is an interesting store." Draculaura said.
"Welcome to finest discount Loofa Emporium in Undertown." A squeaky voice said.
Looking down they saw it was from a little green alien with warts on his face and a green and silver suit. This was Pakmar.
"Uh hi there." Drake said.
"Greetings, I am Pakmar. What can Pakmar interest you in today?" He asks.
"Uh nothing at the moment just browsing." Draculaura said.
"Yeah I didn't realize loofas were a big thing." Drake said.
"Everyone wants to be clean and some aliens are more difficult than others." Pakmar said.
"Makes sense." Drake nods in agreement.
"Maybe we should try and find one that can work for Gob while we're here." Draculaura smirks causing Drake to chuckle.
"If he doesn't absorb it first." Drake smirks causing her to giggle.
"Ah Pakmar have an idea for perfect item for you two." Pakmar said going into the back before rummaging around before coming out. "Behold Pakmar's best seller!"
Holding up his hand they saw a pink round loofa.
"Uh why is that one your best seller?" Draculaura asks.
"Sells very well with couples." Pakmar said causing both of them to freeze.
"Wait a minute. That's for us?" Both of them ask as they turn bright red at what he thought they were gonna do.
"Since your first time here Pakmar give you deal sound good? You take?" Pakmar asks.
"Uh…" Both of them pause as they tried to think of a way to change the subject.
"So do you sell anything else in this store?" Drake asks.
"Pakmar used to but sadly this is all that's left after Ben Tennyson. First he ruined my toilet emporium, then my pet shop and then he destroyed Pakmar's China Shop!" Pakmar snaps.
"Wow, first Mr. Baumann and now you? Boy Ben is not popular here." Drake said.
"Wait you know Ben Tennyson?" Pakmar glares.
"Yeah he goes to school with us." Draculaura said when a loofa was thrown at her. "Hey!"
"Get out! Get out!" Pakmar said throwing loofas at them. "Friends of Ben Tennyson are not welcome in my store!"
Jumping up and down in rage Pakmar threw everything he could at Drake and Draculaura forcing them to run out of the store and down the street.
Panting heavily, Drake and Draculaura sat down on a bench exhausted.
"Oh man that little guy had so much anger." Drake said.
"Who knew you could use sponges as a weapon?" Draculaura asks
"Yeah remind me not to visit him again." Drake said.
"Noted." Draculaura said.
At Mr. Baumann's store, Drake and Draculaura sat down at the counter as Mr. Baumann handed them some drinks before walking away.
"Well aside from our sponge attack I would say this was pretty fun." Drake said.
"Yeah funny how you and I keep getting into crazy things." Draculaura said.
"But you and I always manage to get out of them." Drake smiles.
"Yeah…yeah we do." Draculaura smiles softly before sipping her drink.
"It's good to see you smiling again Draculaura. Lately you just don't seem happy whenever I see you." Drake said.
"I-I do?" Draculaura said surprised.
"Yeah I mean whenever you and I talk you seem happy but whenever I'm with someone else you don't seem as happy." Drake said.
"Not everyone." Draculaura said.
"Draculaura what's going on?" Drake asks putting his drink down.
Draculaura looks into his caring and concerned eyes and she just felt drawn to them, felt safe.
"Drake…I like you I mean I like you a lot, but ever since Hope and the Plumbers showed up I've been nervous. Nervous now that more humans are at Monster High you wouldn't like me or would want a normal human rather than—" Before Draculaura could finish Drake kisses her on the lips surprising her. "D-Drake?"
"You looked like you needed that." Drake said.
"You mean?"
"Of course I like you Draculaura, I mean you're my ghoul and it's because I met you that my life is the way it is now. Look I'll admit it's nice hanging out with other humans but I love hanging out at Monster High and…I love you Draculaura." Drake confesses.
Tears building up Draculaura grabs Drake and kisses him on lips. "I love you too Drake."
Smiling Drake holds his new vampire girlfriend and Draculaura hugs back.
"Ah young love." Mr. Baumann chuckles looking at them from across the store.
When they separate Drake and Draculaura look at each other as Drake touches one of the hearts on her cheek. "So feel happier?" Drake asks.
"Happiest I've ever been." Draculaura smiles snuggling up close to him. "Although we do have one problem now."
"What?" Drake asks.
"Introducing my new boyfriend to my dad." Draculaura cringed.
"Oh boy, he's not gonna suck all the blood out of my body is he?" Drake gulps.
"No he would never…well actually he might." Draculaura cringed causing Drake to shake. "Don't worry I won't let him."
Suddenly Drake's phone alarm went off signaling it was time to go back to school.
"Well guess our date is over." Drake said.
"So it's a date now?" Draculaura asks.
"I think it always was. Ready to go back to school?" Drake asks offering his hand.
"Absolutely." Draculaura smiles grabbing his hand and holding him close as they walked back t others now a couple.
