Time Passed
Korra bounced on Mako's lap with wild abandon. Her hips rose up and came crashing down, slapping against his skin hot and heavy. She grunted and moaned every time she felt him deep within her, pressing and rubbing her sensitive nerves.
"Ohh fuck.." She arched her back and began rocking her hips in quick desperate motions. "This feels so good!"
Just feeling the girth of him filling her out and massaging her ache was incredible. Every bit of pressure sent a different sensation tingling through her limbs.
They had been at this for more than a half hour. She was pent up and playing with fire at this point. Starting and stopping just to prolong the outcome. She didn't want this to end just yet, their verbal contract had been made but now she needed to reinforce the deal.
They had moved from the living room and Naga's watchful eyes to the guest room again. The bed beneath them shook and creaked adding to the sound of their slapping bodies grinding in unison.
Mako threw his head back against the pillows and wailed. He was much louder now than their time before, mainly because with Korra on top he was submissively at her will and she was unapologetically lewd.
"Ohh good-girl ah!"
She never realized how much she enjoyed him calling her that until recently. The verbal affirmation really boosted her already inflated ego.
He grunted through his teeth as she grinded against him, pulling his shaft in the sharp direction of her hips. His jaw went slack as she pulled away and he felt her outer lips drag along his length, feathering along his senses threatening to overtake him. His toes curled as she repeated the action, alternating between a slow and fast pace.
He reached up and grabbed her breasts, kneading her flesh and letting the weight of them bounce in his palms. She moaned grabbing his hand encouraging him to grab them harder. He groped and tugged on them, pulling her nipples eliciting a small shriek from her reddened lips.
"Ah! yes! ahh!" He yelled as Korra alternated back to riding him, her hands on his chest gripping tightly as she rocked back and forth.
"oh-ha-haa..mm! fuck," Mako grunted again, clawing Korra's frantic hips in desperation. ".. just like that!"
Korra looked down and saw his face twisted almost as if in pain. "Going soft... on me?" She joked in-between her jagged breaths.
Mako gave her a tired smile, his bright hazel eyes jaded. "If you keep this up I will be.." He sucked in a harsh breath and hissed, his hips bucking up to meet her thrusts.
"Good! I-I'm..so close!" Korra replied, arching her back as her body shivered.
He reached up for her face and brought her down to his lips, laying her chest flat against his. She hummed against his mouth, muffling her mewling with sloppy wet kisses.
Mako bent his legs and began to thrust, lifting his hips a few inches off the bed. He grabbed her lower back and slid his hands down to her ass, palming the two mounds of flesh. He clawed into them hard and forced her down against his upward thrusts.
Korra pulled away from their kiss and screamed. She clawed into his shoulders lowering her head again and moaning against his chest.
She hissed and shuttered lifting her head to suck and bite his lips."Don't - don't stop!" She moaned into his mouth.
Mako couldn't even if he wanted to, his eyes were clenched shut as all his focus drained into the base of his cock.
"Korra!" He shouted as his mind floated in to that delicate space just before climax. His muscles seized and body began to shutter underneath her weight.
"M-me too!" She breathed.
Sucking in a large gasp she cried out in ecstasy as the final pump of his hips sent her over the edge. Her mind seemed to go blank as every sensation her body had ever felt ignited at once. Sparking, sizzling, and soothing all at the same time her body shivered in delight.
"ooh! hnm..."
Mako soon followed keeping himself sheath inside her as they both trembled. He sighed at the sensation of her muscles contracting and releasing.
Korra laid against his chest catching her breath. Mako hummed feeling the light drum of her pulse, letting it drift him to rest.
The tapping of her pen against her desk was the only thing keeping Korra's mind from drifting. Mako was at the center of her thoughts which made today's work day in particular very boring. Especially considering what she had been doing a few nights before. This whole arrangement seemed too good to be true. They were still living their lives as they had been comfortably. Nothing changed, or uprooted, but now they both shared in this dirty little secret. Never did she even think Mako would agree to it.
Glancing at her clock she realized her lunch hour was approaching and she needed to wrap up a few communications before then.
She sat reading a very long winded email from her father about the Fire Nation treasuries claiming the artifact they had found on southern land. She understood the whole "finders keepers" rule but she knew the long history of Fire Nation being their enemy, her father didn't want to give it to them for that very reason. There was already a peace treaty indoctrinated one hundred years ago, and so far the Fire Nation had been nothing but peaceful to the rest of the world. However, erasing generations of hate was another story.
On the flip side she was being called on the hour by Fire Nation representatives demanding they relinquish their property. To which Korra replied, legally since the crown was found on their land it was water tribe territory. Only if they agree to hand it over will it be returned, which then circled back around to her father. The Water Tribe cultural center decided to keep the crown under guard until the problem was resolved. It won't be put on display or sent to South until then.
"What was a Fire Nation prince doing in the South so long ago anyway?" Korra pondered.
They hadn't exactly discovered how old the crown was yet, Korra figured at least a century considering prince's today don't wear things that extravagant. During times of war the two sides ever crossing paths seemed very unlikely, so maybe the reason the Fire Nation is so passionate about getting it is perhaps it was stolen.
Korra hummed in annoyance as an unwelcome memory filtered into her mind. This whole drama reminding her of past hurts, this never ending feud between nations.
It was their 3rd year of college, five years of being together with Mako. The first argument that lead to their break up.

"mm" Korra parted from Mako's lips with a warm smile on her face. The tv was blaring the ending credits of the third movie for the night. Their bodies were sprawled lazily over his couch. Korra was on top of him as Mako lightly threaded his hands threw her long hair.
Cupping his jaw with a delicate hand she looked up at him with a proposition.
"So..I'm visiting my parents for winter solstice, and I was hoping you'd come with me?"
Mako looked away, "Oh..really, I'm not sure."
Korra pulled back from him and sat up onto her knees, "why not? This will be the fifth year of you not coming with me. My family is starting to think I made you up." She laughed although acknowledging the truth inside the joke.
"I think Bolin and I, might be planning something..."
Korra crossed her arms over her chest, "Really? Because I'm sure Opal told me they were going to Omashu together? You wanna tell me why you really don't want to go?"
Mako sat up, stretching and groaning from laying down for hours. "I mean haven't we talked about this before?"
Korra shrugged, "You're worried my parents wont like you but-"
"I've heard nothing but how much the water tribe hates the fire nation..And in case you forgot I'm from the fire nation."
"Well yeah, but they won't care about that." Korra only seemed partly unsure about that answer.
Her family has talked to Mako on the phone, just pleasantries and introductions. As far as they knew, he and his family for generations were from Republic City.
"Now if you weren't the chiefs daughter I might actually believe that."
Mako stood up from the couch and went to his kitchen to grab a trash bag.
"Mako those are just old traditions, my father can't help the way he was raised. The fact that they let me leave is proof their becoming more modernized. Which includes dating other nationalities."
Mako paused, "I highly doubt having Master Tenzin constantly watching over you is the same as letting you move out like an adult. Korra your culture has a lot of customs, and I don't fit into any of them."
She shrugged knowing he was partly right, "So what? I'm still here aren't I? If not for Tenzin I never would have met you."
He placed the first empty pizza box into the bag, followed by empty soda bottles. Korra was slightly annoyed he wasn't fully paying attention to the conversation. He would always do anything to avoid a talk and she had half a mind to rip the trash bag out of his hands.
For someone who wanted to be a police officer he sure didn't like confrontation.
She walked up to him lightly grabbing his wrist, looking longingly into his eyes. "I love you Mako, and whether they like it or not, they'll have to deal with it."
Mako paused gazing back genuinely, "I love you too. But honestly I don't see the appeal in traveling half way around the world to greet a nation of people who will hate me."
He moved away unable to bare the look on her face that was a mix of sadness and anger, he knew he was disappointing her but he couldn't get over the fear he had. Him and Bolin were orphans at a very young age, homeless as children, gang affiliated as teens and somehow was able to snag enough jobs and blessings for a small apartment and funds to go to school.
Then he meets Korra, this beautiful water tribe heir that basically had everything she ever needed in life; which cost her her freedom but in the end still a much better life than theirs. She never made him feel this way, but he compared her life with luxury to his and felt like a peasant in comparison. Then add on another layer of offense that he was a fire nation spawn, the continent responsible for five generations of war, he understood why he'd get some hostility and judgement.
He could just imagine showing up to the South with thousands of eyes on him, walking into the throne room and having to confront her father and have him say he was no fit for his daughter.
"Would you at least try! For me? We can never get them to change their ways without some opposition first!" Korra replied.
"Yeah but I didn't sign up for being a political dynast, I think I've spent a good portion of my life being ostracized." Mako had finished cleaning up his living room and tried to find something else to occupy his attention. He could feel the tension in this conversation building to an argument.
"But you did sign up to date me right? Knowing who I am, where I come from." Korra picked up the remote and turned the tv off, silencing the room making the atmosphere seem even more tense.
"I'm water tribe, but that didn't stop me from dating you."
Mako turned to her, "You know that's not what I meant. I'm not running away from your average relationship hardship, and you are not your parents."
"But you are running away from this...I'm sorry if you feel like you're not good enough," She rested her palms on his shoulders, squeezing them. "But you are to me. My family has warriors, diplomats, other suitors lined up just waiting to marry me off some day. But I don't want them, I want you!"
"Answer me this Korra, if they didn't accept us together. Would you choose me over them?"
Korra fell silent, searching his eyes for any sign he truly didn't want her to have to choose, because they both knew her family ties were down to her very bloodline. "Exactly."
"T-that's not fair, my father's a chief I can't just abandon my tribe, thats not how that works! I'm trying to avoid ever getting to that decision. You're just being so stubborn!"
"And you're being naive!" He retorted raising his voice just over the pitch of hers. He moved out from under her grasp and began to pace around the room.
"Well, I'm sorry for wanting the best for us!"
"No, this is what's best for you! You knew who I was and where I came from as well, did you ever think it was going to be easy?" He shook his head in disbelief.
"No but I hoped you'd be there for me! My mistake!" Korra began to grab her things and head for the door.
Mako moved in front of her path to stop her from leaving, "Making me the bad guy here isn't fair."
"I'm not making you anything!" Korra huffed.
"I don't share your cultural traditions, shouldn't it be my choice to participate in them?"
"By being with me you are sharing in my culture whether you truly thought that out or not! We can't hide out in Republic City forever! Eventually you'll have to meet them if you want a future with me!"
"Well, maybe I didn't." Mako replied, quickly realizing that did not come out how he intended.
Korra blinked, swallowing her reply. She paused letting his answer sink in. "I see now."
She pushed passed him to his front door, lowering her head so that he couldn't see the water building up behind her lids.
"Korra wait! You know that's not what I meant!" He shook his head, almost in disbelief he said it in the first place. "I mean I didn't think that through.. No like I...not that I don't want a future with you-"
She opened his front door and paused, looking over his shoulder with hurt in her eyes. "Let me know when you have it all figured out."

Korra snapped out of her day dream as a knock sounded at her door. "Come in." She voiced.
The door opened slowly as a familiar face appeared in her walkway. "Bolin!" She yelled, leaping from her desk to run over to him.
"Korra!" He wrapped her in a warm platypus bear hug. "How are you!"
She squeezed him back happily, "You're back! It's so good to see you! I'm good...Well better, well..okay"
They pulled away but remained holding hands. Bolin looked at her face and saw the slight hesitation in her eyes. "What happened?" He asked.
"Oh yeah," Korra sighed, "You've been in Zaofu this whole time."
Bolin could see her whole demeanor change, like she wanted to curl in on herself. "It's...a long story."
Bolin tilted his head, "Let me treat you to lunch and we could talk about it then."
Korra looked up at him a little unsure. She honestly didn't ever want to talk about their break up again but knew Bolin might be of help and comfort. She had Mako for a different type of comfort so maybe a conversation would be nice.
He pulled out a souvenir pastry box from his satchel and offered it to her, "I brought you sweets, Earth Kingdom's finest,"
Korra smiled and took the box from him, "You know the way to my heart Bo,"
They both walked out of her office linked around the arms not looking for anywhere in particular they'd want to eat. As they left the museum Bolin cheesed for a few pictures the tourist's obnoxiously captured of Korra.
"Well I'm glad one of us likes the attention.." Korra laughed.
"I'm practicing for my movie star debut." Bolin grinned, earning another laugh from his friend.
They settled for a small cafe down the street with a simple menu of tea and specialty sandwiches.
"Woah..that's heavy," Bolin sighed as Korra finished her riveting life story.
"yeah," Korra picked open the wrapper of another chocolate bon bon and ate the whole thing in one bite.
"I knew Hiroshi was a strict guy but I didn't know he could be that hateful. I'm sorry you both had to deal with that."
"It's over now,"
Korra looked down at her half eaten sandwich not in the mood to finish it. The food suddenly went sour in her mouth.
Bolin placed his hand on top of hers giving it a light squeeze, "You know I'm here for you right?"
Korra looked up at him and offered a lighthearted smiled, "I know, and I love you for that."
Bolin picked up his sandwich and took a large bite, "Maybe Hiroshi will never change, but Asami is smart enough make a plan" He swallowed and took another bite, "She'll find a way to separate from him and still keep the company, or legally keep him from disowning her."
"hm, I never thought about that." Korra muttered. "But you're right, she is smart in that way."
"It'll just take time," Bolin nodded.
"Wow, when did you get so smart?" Korra laughed.
"Honestly, I started talking with Kuvira while we were abroad. What she's doing in Ba Sing Se is incredible. She gave me so many strategic tips about joining the military."
"Oh right! She's been deployed over there since graduation." Korra arched her brow, "You're really serious about this huh?"
"Yeah I am, I want to help those that were still affected by the Queen's assassination and the riots in Ba Sing Se." Bolin was stern with his answer and Korra was so proud to see how mature he's grown.
"There's a conference being held next week in city hall, Kuvira will be there to represent the troops stationed there, along with Bei-Fong's police force."
"Oh right, Tenzin was telling me about that. I think I might be stepping in as a Water Tribe rep."
"Great! Then we'll all be there!" Bolin swallowed awkwardly, glancing away. "Including Mako..."
"Oh," Korra breathed looking down at her food aimlessly.
Bolin shrugged, "Have you, tried talking to him? It has been a while."
"oh! uh..no. I..we..we haven't talked in who knows how long really...I haven't." Korra spat out. She quickly shoved a large bite of her sandwich in her mouth. The best liar she was not.
"o-kay?" Bolin raised a curious brow.
"That's probably why I saw Asami with General Iroh last night..."
Bolin nodded, "Everyone's here to talk business this week. I'm sure that's all that was.."
"Have you talked to him?" Korra asked. "To Mako?"
"Briefly when I got into town this morning before he left for work and I headed over to you."
"Did he tell you anything?" Korra asked trying not to sound too prying. Obviously Mako wouldn't tell him they're hooking up on occasion, but maybe the drunken night leading up to that.
"No, nothing relating to you. Only that he's being considered for detective. Bei-Fong has him pretty high on the list! That's why she wants him at the conference with the rest of her academy."
"He is!" Korra exclaimed, Why didn't he tell me?! She thought. Her shoulders slumped as she quickly realized the answer to that. It really wasn't her business. They weren't really friends that close enough to share important news with. That actually bothered her more than she'd like to admit.
"Maybe that's why he seemed to be in a really good mood." Bolin added with a nonchalant shrug.
"Really?" Korra asked, genuinely surprised.
She picked up her drink and took a sip, trying to hide her smirk behind her hand. Oh I could think of a few things that put him in that good of a mood. Korra thought.
"But it'll be fine. We're both adults now and I have no hard feelings towards Mako."
"Good" Bolin sighed, "Because honestly..I'm really missing having us all together."
Korra bowed her head, "Yeah I know you are. I don't think either of us meant to drift apart this drastically"
It was hard for Bolin to be the intermediary during their fights and eventual break up. That's why Korra truly appreciated his friendship all these years. He never chose a side but remained neutral and supportive. Equally willing to call out both of their biases and nonsense. Bolin genuinely just wanted his two closest friends to be cordial again.
Little did he know they were doing a little bit more than that now.
They finished eating and catching up. Korra hurried back to her office after a heartfelt goodbye.
"I'll see you next week!" She waved earning a bright smile in return.
"See you there!"
Korra sat down behind her desk with a devious smirk. Admittedly she was only partly paying attention to Tenzin's lecture about the World's Conference they would be attending. She never liked her civil duties as a 'princess' that included those boring meetings and formal parties. Yes, she cared very deeply about her people and passing legislation that would aid them and other allies. The logistics of getting it all accomplished is what bored her, but now she had something to look forward to.
Mako will be there...
Her teeth sunk deep into her bottom lip as her imagination went wild.
Oh the carnal possibilities..
