Chapter 26: Monster Sports
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Glad to see so many people enjoyed Drake and Draculaura becoming a thing. Now for this next chapter if you read my Halloween Nobody of EAH special you'll understand this chapter much easier. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
It had been a wild few days for Drake, first he got himself a vampire girlfriend and then even wilder he found himself fighting monsters with some new friends in a parallel Monster High.
"And so then I went Upgrade and gave Roxas and Crystal a total power boost and we destroyed that thing." Drake said.
"That's incredible." Draculaura said.
"The parallel world theory has always been debatable, but apparently it's true." Frankie said.
"Tell me was there another me?" Cleo asks.
"Yes there was Cleo and like she seemed to be very popular." Drake said.
"I knew it, I am amazing." Cleo said.
"But apparently in this world, your boyfriend was Deuce." Drake said.
"Deuce?" Cleo said with a weirded-out expression.
"Like I said it was similar but very different as well." Drake said.
"Yeah no kidding. I can't believe I had a big brother and little sister." Clawdeen said.
"I don't know my version kinda sounds exactly like me." Lagoona smiles.
"Mine too." Frankie smiles as they high five.
"Either I prefer this Monster High to that one any day." Drake said.
"So do we." Draculaura smiles.
"Still don't go running off to another world without telling us first next time." Frankie said.
"Noted." Drake said getting up. "Now if you'll excuse me I need a smoothie."
"I'm gonna go get something too." Draculaura said.
As they walked away Clawdeen looks to the other ghouls. "Any of you notice that Draculaura and Drake have been really close lately?"
"Those two have always been close. They've known each other for awhile now." Lagoona said.
"Yeah but I mean really REALLY close." Clawdeen said putting her hands together getting their attention.
"Wait you mean?" Frankie said looking over to see Drake handing Draculaura a mummy mocha causing her to smile and give him a small peck on the cheek causing them to gasp.
"Oh my Ra." Cleo said.
"She does like him." Frankie said.
Needless to say as the two of them walked away the 4 ghouls sitting down were a bit jealous of Draculaura.
In front of the Principal's office, Drake was a little nervous as Draculaura wanted to tell her dad the truth.
"He's gonna find out sooner or later." Draculaura said.
"I think I prefer later." Drake said.
"Don't worry I'll be right here." Draculaura said giving him a kiss on the lips making him feel better before Drake opened the door to see Dracula working on some papers.
"Uh hey Drac what are you up to?" Drake asks.
"Nothing much just school papers. With you Omni-Trackers, the Plumbers and our growing student body I need to find ways to improve this school." Dracula said.
"Maybe a school sport?" Drake suggests.
"Maybe if we can find the place and equipment. So what can I do for you both?" Dracula asks as Draculaura walked in.
"Uhm Dad there's something you need to know and I'm a little nervous." Draculaura said.
"Draculaura after everything we've been through I think I can handle any one of your surprises." Dracula said.
"Okay well, Draculaura and I are dating." Drake admits causing Dracula to freeze up.
"Uh dad? Hello? Dad?" Draculaura asks.
"Mr. Drac?" Drake asks before Dracula fell backwards out of his seat.
"He actually handled it better than I expected." Draculaura cringed.
"You're what?!" Dracula recovers.
"There's how I pictured he would handle it." Drake cringed.
"Draculaura, you're in love with a human?" Dracula asks.
"Yes, dad I am. I love Drake and he loves me." Draculaura smiles.
"But Draculaura such a romance has never happened before. Humans and monsters have never fallen in love before." Dracula said.
"Dad things are different now." Draculaura said.
"But Drake is human he is not yet aware of how monsters view romance." Dracula said.
"What's the difference?" Drake asks.
"Many things." Dracula said.
"Dracula I love your daughter I really do. Draculaura is the most amazing vampire I've ever met." Drake said causing Draculaura to blush at the compliment.
"Oh I can't say no to this. Not when you make my little ghoul so happy. Besides I can't kill you that would set monsters back hundreds of years." Dracula laughs.
"He's kidding right?" Drake asks.
"Well…" Draculaura said not so sure.
"Draculaura if this human really means this much to you. I'll let you two date." Dracula nods.
"Oh thank you daddy." Draculaura said hugging her dad.
Drake smiles at this moment when Draculaura grabs his hand and pulls him into this family hug happy that she had both her dad and her boyfriend.
A few days later, Drake was walking around the outskirts of Monster High with Kai and Lagoona.
"So Drake what's this idea of yours?" Kai asks.
"Well when I was in that crazy other Monster High I saw they had this wild school sport called Skulltimate Roller Maze or as they called it SKRM where teams raced around a special course in the catacombs on roller blades, but since we don't have those here I thought we could find a place to make our course." Drake explains.
"Sounds like fun, I love rollerblading." Lagoona said.
"Why am I not surprised? You're a total athlete." Drake said causing Lagoona to giggle.
"Guilty." Lagoona smiles.
"I'll admit it sounds pretty cool." Kai smiles.
"So I figured at least with you and me we can start making teams. Give the school a little excitement." Drake said.
"I'm in, but we would need a big area to make our races." Lagonna said.
"That's why I asked Kai to come." Drake said.
"And that's why I made a call for help." Kai said as they walked out to see Max Tennyon walk out.
"Hey kids, been awhile." Max said.
"Hey there, Max. Good to see you." Lagoona said.
"What have you been up to?" Drake asks.
"Someone has to keep an eye on the Plumbers while Matthew is here helping you." Max said.
"True enough." Drake said.
"Plus ever since Vilgax tried to kill you I've been on the lookout for him and his forces. Don't want them causing anymore trouble." Max said before taking out a map. "Anyway here's the map you requested."
"Sweet." Kai said showing them a detailed map of the area around them.
"Hmm what about that area?" Drake asks pointing.
"No not strong enough. Ground would collapse after too much pressure." Max said.
"How about that canyon area? Lots of room." Lagoona points.
"Nah too close to town. We can't risk humans overhearing us." Kai said.
Drake scans the map when he noticed a small valley area. "Hey what about there?"
Curious all of them made their way towards the valley and in it they saw plenty of grass, some hill areas and even a flowing river.
Seeing this all of them smiled liking what they found.
"I think we have a winner." Drake said eager to get to work.
Soon the big day came. We find ourselves in the valey but thanks to Jury Rigg and some Plumber Blue Prints and some rollerblades everything was set for the first ever Monster High SKRM match.
At the bleachers, all the students and staff were sitting down excited to see the new sport as they got a perfect view of the whole valley that had been fixed up and upgraded. And with the help of Venus none of the nature and wildlife was damaged.
"What's up Monster High?!" Ben said as he and Rook sat in the commentators' box. "Ben Tennyson come to you live for our first ever Skulltimate Roller Maze match! Now let's meet our racers!"
Cheering everyone watched as Drake, Lagoona, Kai, Kevin, Jinafire, and Clawdeen skate out wearing rollerblades, pads and helmets.
"I must say Ben we have ourselves a very talented selection of competitors in this." Rook said.
"You can say that again Rook. If this goes well this could be our official school sport." Ben said.
"Now for all you competitors here are the rules. Teams are divided up into three members with extras available for substitute. There you must race through various obstacles while trying to outrace your opponents. The first member from either team who crosses the finish line first is the winner." Rook explains.
Looking to each other the teams were divided with Drake, Clawdeen and Kai vs Lagoona, Jinafire and Kevin.
"I am gonna enjoy this." Kevin smirks.
"You guys are going down." Clawdeen said.
"Don't count on it." Lagoona said.
"Alright monsters let me hear ya scream!" Ben said as everyone screamed in excitement.
"I gotta admit this was a pretty good idea." Julie said sitting in the stands.
"If this goes well everyone might wanna participate." Frankie said.
"Go Drake!" Draculaura cheers.
Nearby Hope saw the vampire girl and Drake wave at each other and she narrowed her eyes.
'She's very forward all of a sudden.' Hope thought.
As the 6 of them lined up at the starting line they looked at each other.
"We're still friends no matter who wins right?" Lagoona asks.
"Depends on how badly I beat you." Drake smirks.
"Ready…set…GO!" Ben and Rook said as they green flashed and the 6 racers raced off.
Coming up on the first turn, Clawdeen was in the lead with Lagoona right behind her.
"Out of the way Roger!" Kevin said moving in and ramming into Drake making him fall backwards.
"Hey!" Drake said.
"You snooze you lose!" Kevin laughs going ahead.
However up above on the hills, the werepups were lined up with multiple shooters and started firing paintballs down at the racers causing them to bob and weave.
"Uh oh looks like our SKRM racers have entered the Wildfire Hills." Ben said.
"Yes armed and ready the Werepups have proven excellent shooters as they try to knock the racers out with their barrage of unrelenting fire." Rook said.
As Clawdeen tries to get out of the way one werepup nailed her in the gut.
"I'll get you for that!" Clawdeen said shaking her fist at her brother who smirks resulting in all of them firing at her when Kai pulls her out of the way.
"Maybe you shouldn't try to pick a fight when your siblings can stop us." Kai suggests.
"Good call." Clawdeen said as they raced out.
Next obstacle had various pillars shooting out of various of the track causing them to move side to side.
Using this opening Jinafire leaps from pillar to pillar jumping over them and landing right in the lead.
"And Jinafire uses her amazing acrobatic skills to dodge the obstacles and take the lead." Ben said.
"Very impressive." Rook said when Kai slips and slides between each pillar moving in after her.
Touching a pillar Kevin turns his body to metal allowing him to race through the pillars unscathed.
Drake groans bringing up the rear. "I need to catch up with everyone."
Looking ahead they saw the river raging alongside the course.
"Oh yeah!" Lagoona grins loving be near the water as she raced through it with ease.
The next obstacle had various moving platforms that Drake used to leap from one to the next allowing him to gain on the leaders.
"And now we're coming up on the final obstacle folks! Get ready because we'll have a winner after this one!" Ben said as they all reached the top of a very large cliff area before skating down it moving in at an incredible speed.
"Farwell my opponents!" Jinafire said moving in with flames coming behind her.
Growling Clawdeen leaps over the flames racing after.
Using his metal body Kevin raced through the flames with ease while Lagoona slides past them.
"Drake!" Kai said holding out a hand.
"Here ya go!" Drake said throwing Kai forward allowing her to leap over.
In the final stretch Jinafire was in the lead when Kai raced in alongside her.
Both of them look to each other and moved as fast as they could.
"Here it is! Which team will win? It's gonna be close!" Ben said when Kai raced past the finish line first. "Kai wins! Her team wins!"
Immediately the whole school exploded in cheers.
"That was quite a race. I couldn't tell who was gonna win the whole time." Rook said.
"I'll say buddy! I can't wait for the next one." Ben said.
As Kai was getting lots of praise for her win Drake was sitting down to get some water.
"Here you go." Lagoona said holding out a bottle of water.
"Thanks." Drake said getting some. "So what did you think?"
"Mate this was one the greatest ideas you've ever had. The whole school loves SKRM. I've never seen them so excited about everything before." Lagoona said.
Looking out at the crowd Drake saw how happy and eager they were for this new sport. Some were even considering playing themselves.
"I wouldn't mind doing it again." Drake said.
"Maybe next time it can be you and me one on one…unless you think you can't win without a team." Lagoona smirks.
"Oh you are on." Drake smirks as this new game had even started a new rivalry.
